Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 14, 2025

Gunther heads to the ring to start tonight's show with an interview from Michael Cole. Gunther says that last week, "Main Event" Jey Uso looked him in the eye and says that he was not afraid of him, and tonight, he is here to let everyone know that Jey Uso is full of crap. When the fans boo Gunther and starts a "Yeet!" chant, Gunther gets frustrated and turns on the fans, and says that ever since he stepped foot in WWE, he has been the greatest gift it has ever received. He talks about how he has been a champion for much of his time in WWE and is currently the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time, and refuses to let someone like Jey Uso ruin this for him. Gunther then urges Jey Uso to put his chest out and walk into WrestleMania with more confidence than he has ever had, because the bell has to ring, and when that happens, he will put him down for a fourth consecutive time. Gunther says he has been told the last two weeks that he went too far with Jimmy Uso and that he lost control, then says he has never lost control in his life, and that when he bathed in his brother's blood, he was in full control, and he loved it. He says that had he had no control, he would have drowned both Jey and Jimmy in Jimmy's blood, then says that he looks forward to telling his mother how much he enjoyed it when he walks out of WrestleMania as World Heavyweight Champion.

We hear from Bianca Belair, who says that she is in her own head with everything that has been going on as of late, and that she has done nothing for herself but standing up for herself and speaking the truth. She says you do not have to like the truth, but you cannot deny it, and the truth is that she is in a Triple Threat Match. Bianca says that she must prove that she is the best Bianca that anyone has ever seen, and that there is nothing Iyo Sky or Rhea Ripley can do to stop her from becoming champion.

Bayley beats Liv Morgan after Lyra Valkyria grabs onto Bayley from behind to block the Ob-Liv-Ion. This happens after Lyra Valkyria brawls with Raquel Rodriguez on the outside for putting Liv Morgan's foot on the bottom rope following a Bayley-to-Belly.

We hear from Rhea Ripley, who says that she can see through Bianca Belair and that Bianca thrives on playing with her emotions. She says Bianca fails to realize that when she loses something she loves, she will stop at nothing to get it back. She says she did not have to give Iyo Sky a championship match, but afterwards, she took a page out of her playbook to get her book. Rhea says she cannot wait to make Rhea feel what it is like to be the bad guy when she gets back what belongs to her.

Rey Mysterio beats Julius Creed after all seconds are banned from ringside and El Grande Americano shows up only for Rey to knock Julius into him after initially trying to remove El Grande Americano's mask. After the match, El Grande Americano attacks Rey, then fights off The Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Dragon Lee) when they show back up. He then hits Rey with a diving headbutt from the top rope, and it is soon revealed that El Grande Americano has once again loaded his mask with a weighted foreign object.

We hear from The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik). Ivar says The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) run their mouths about how they are the best of all time, but Erik says they have blazed a path of destruction and won gold across continents for over a decade. Ivar says they had New Day dead to rights, and Erik says The New Day took the cowards' way out. They then say that The New Day took this to another level by coming for Erik's neck and trying to end his career, and at WrestleMania, this will not be a match or a fight; instead, this will be war.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods). Kofi and Xavier says they have been at war the whole time they have been here, and that it will stop when they become tag team champions once again. Xavier says that after they become champions, everyone else will have no choice but to thank God for The New Day.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Karrion Kross. After the match, Logan Paul shows up to congratulate AJ Styles for winning in Sacramento, California before mockingly comparing it to Los Angeles and San Francisco - claiming that the fans in Sacramento “weren’t cool enough to live in Los Angeles or smart enough to live in San Francisco” - before saying that Styles proved that their match at WrestleMania will "cook." Logan Paul then shows off a vignette of himself, but Styles is not impressed and dares Logan Paul to face him in the ring right now. Kross tries to sneak attack Styles, and Styles has to fend off both Kross and Logan. Styles hits Kross with a reverse DDT, but Logan hits Styles with a knockout punch followed by the Paulveriser.

Paul Heyman is seen waiting for Roman Reigns backstage.

"Main Event" Jey Uso heads to the ring. After an encore of his theme, Jey says he said what he had to say to Gunther last week, and while he admits he is crashing out, he is locked in for himself, his family and his fans. He says that Gunther is mad and afraid that he will beat him for the World Heavyweight Championship in front of 60,000 people at WrestleMania.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bron Breakker. Breakker says this is the biggest title defense of his career before he is suddenly jumped by The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito). General Manager Adam Pearce breaks up the brawl along with officials.

Penta vs. Finn Balor ends in a no-contest after Carlito shows up only for Bron Breakker to show up soon after and break Finn with a Spear as Carlito runs through the ring to run away from Breakker. After the match, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Carlito gang up on Breakker, but Breakker breaks them both at the same time with a Spear. Breakker is then focused on Penta, but Penta is able to stop Breakker in his tracks and send him tumbling out of the ring before taking everyone out with a dive from the top rope.

We hear from Iyo Sky. She says Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley forget that she is Women's World Champion as they push her out of their fights as if she means nothing, yet she is the reason they are fighting in the first place. Iyo says she has what they want and that she is done being ignored and forgotten, and that Rhea and Bianca will have to go through her to take her title and she is not afraid to defend against both of them, as she has beaten them before and she will beat them again.

Backstage, CM Punk joins Paul Heyman as he waits for Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns shows up and sees what is going on, then Heyman notices Roman and tries to catch up with him. Roman and Heyman head to the ring, and after the commercial break, Roman shows his appreciation towards those who are loyal to him, then asks Heyman how he could betray him. Heyman tells Roman that it was not a betrayal, but a payback of a favor that he owed. Roman says he is the one being screwed over in this favor, then says he will never ask for a favor, as he takes what he wants. Roman says he did not ask for a favor, then asks why he is the one to have to pick up the tab on it. Suddenly, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and heads to the ring. Rollins says that Roman is putting the pieces together all by himself, and yet he is still missing one piece of the puzzle. He calls their match the most important in match of WWE, WrestleMania and the industry, as the winner will define the future of the industry. He says that it cannot be Roman, because if this business is filled with people like him that do not show up outside of when it is convenient and expects everyone else to do the dirty work, then the business dies. He also says that the business cannot be filled with "little CM Punks" who cannot pick up their ball and go home and only come back off the success of others. Rollins says he will sacrifice mental and physical well-being to do what is best for business, and that he must win. He says that favors do not happen by chance; they are a choice, and that he chose not to put Paul Heyman in the hospital last week, and Heyman can choose whether or not to pay that debt to him. Rollins admits that Heyman is a scumbag and that he expects nothing from him. He then says Heyman is in CM Punk's corner by choice, not chance, and that Roman must figure out why Heyman is picking Punk over him. Roman says Rollins is right, and that Heyman has made his choice. He then says that he has made his, and he punches out Rollins and throws him into the ring post. Heyman acknowledges Roman as his Tribal Chief, but Roma shoves him to the mat. CM Punk shows up and brawls with Roman. Punk checks on Heyman, then Roman gets back in the ring and Spears Punk before going for a ground and pound. Rollins then gets back in the ring and hits Roman in the back with a metal folding chair much like he did when he turned on The Shield before hitting Punk and Roman with The Stomp.

Isla Dawn lays the title down on the mat and kisses it, then tells Satomura to take one last look at it, for it will be all hers. Satomura tells Isla Dawn that if she wanted to fight her again, all she had to do was ask.
