Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 6, 2020

Asuka beats Liv Morgan with the Asuka Lock.



In backstage footage from WrestleMania, Becky Lynch says she is one day shy of being champion for a year, and that everything she does is calculated. She says she did not underestimate "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, who actually underestimated her. She admits that Baszler has a potentially unmatched move set, and that their match was a test of skill and she had the heart. She says that Baszler only thinks she has her number and that she is game to take her on again. We then hear from Shayna Baszler, who says "The thrill of victory...and the agony of defeat," before promising that the agony of her defeat to Becky.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) retain the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Austin Theory and Angel Garza by disqualification after Zelina Vega gets physically involved. As Zelina Vega is about to join in on the post-match attack, Bianca Belair shows up and hits Zelina with a spinebuster, allowing The Street Profits to fight back. Bianca then says "I go here now," and says she is not only "The EST of WWE," but that Zelina cannot outrun her. Bianca then tells Zelina to get in the ring before she gets her in it herself.



Bianca Belair beats Zelina Vega by disqualification after Austin Theory and Angel Garza get physically involved. After the match, Belair and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) fight back, and Ford proposes they have a six-person mixed tag team match.

In footage from WrestleMania, Bobby Lashley feels he needs new management - or a new wife - after his loss to Aleister Black. Lana shows up wanting to know what is going on. Lashley says "Nothing," then leaves.

Aleister Black beats Apollo Crews.



Cedric Alexander and Ricochet beat Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.



We hear from Kevin Owens in footage from earlier today. He says that the last five months have been hell as he tried to get Seth Rollins one-by-one to the point where he wondered if it was worth it. He then says that when he beat Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, he realized it was all worth it for a WrestleMania moment he could be proud of. Owens says he is moving on to bigger and better things, but whatever he does, he is here to stay and he will keep fighting.

Seth Rollins quickly beats Denzel Dejournette.



Nia Jax returns from double knee surgery and beats Deonna Purrazzo in her first match in just over a year.



Humberto Carrillo beats Brendan Vink.



In backstage footage from WrestleMania, Charly Caruso interviews Charlotte Flair, who talks about how her father "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair had custom suits and robes and how he said that it is the man who makes the suit. She says that the woman makes the title and that she stands as two-time NXT Women's Champion. Charlotte says that Rhea Ripley was alright, but she bows down to the Queen like every other woman in WWE.

In footage from after WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre heads to the ring with the WWE Championship around his waist. He is interviews in the ring by Sarah Schreiber, and says that the magnitude of his win has not him quite yet after twenty minutes. McIntyre thanks Paul Heyman for telling Brock Lesnar to keep giving him the F-5, as his life flashed before his eyes at that moment and he kept getting angrier every time he did it. He also says he would Claymore Kick Lesnar as many times as it would take, and now it has made him the WWE Champion. Suddenly, Big Show shows up with a referee. Big Show congratulates McIntyre before telling him that every Superstar will be gunning for him, then says it is a big man's world and McIntyre is no giant. McIntyre says he knows where this is going, but Big Show says he "doesn't know shit." McIntyre says he is not fighting right now due to having just fought Lesnar, but Big Show accuses him of cowardice. McIntyre says this is his first day and that he is not afraid of Big Show, and that he knows he is trying to push his buttons as he says there is nothing he can do to convince him to fight tonight. Big Show responds by slapping him. This starts a match.



Drew McIntyre retains the WWE Championship against Big Show.
