Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 20, 2020

Drew McIntyre shows up to start tonight's show. McIntyre welcomes everyone to the show, which he calls the highlight of his week, before addressing Seth Rollins' actions last week. He says that he is not surprised that this happened, as the WWE Championship represents a lot of things to a lot of people and paints a huge bullseye on his chest, as the title's holder is considered the best in the industry. McIntyre says that Rollins wants to be champion, but questions if he is deserving of a title opportunity. He says that while he could make him jump through hoops, Rollins is a decorated champion and he has faced him before. He then gives Rollins the privilege to face him in three weeks' time for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank. As he continues to address Rollins, Angel Garza shows up with Zelina Vega and Austin Theory. Zelina says that the three of them are tired of McIntyre's "rah-rah" speeches and that Drew is looking past Garza towards Money In The Bank. Suddenly, McIntyre is attacked from behind by Andrade, who is soon clocked with a Claymore Kick. Theory and Garza are hesitant to take on McIntyre after that, and McIntyre knocks Andrade out of the ring with another Claymore Kick.

Aleister Black beats Austin Theory to qualify for the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Byron Saxton interviews Aleister, who jokes that he may have to cover up all his tattoos in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match before stating that each floor of WWE's corporate office will become his opponents' personal hell.

Before the next match, Charly Caruso interviews "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, who shows no remorse for breaking Sarah Logan's arm before heading to the ring.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Indi Hartwell by referee stoppage after stomping on her right arm much like she did to Sarah Logan last week. As medical staff check on Hartwell, Baszler grabs a ladder, then grabs Hartwell and slams her into the barricade before placing the ladder in front of the steel steps and slamming Hartwell into it. She then traps Hartwell's injured right arm in the ladder and kicks the ladder, hurting it even more.

Ricochet and Cedric Alexander beat Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). Asuka says that tonight, Kairi Sane is ready for her rematch with Nia Jax, and that nobody is ready for her.

We hear from Bobby Lashley and Lana. Lashley says he will demonstrate how easy it is to lift a tractor tire.

Nia Jax beats Kairi Sane despite tweaking her left knee during the match.

We hear from Seth Rollins, who admires and respects Drew McIntyre being a fighting champion, as he knows what it is like to be in his shoes and go into the main event of WrestleMania and beat Brock Lesnar in the main event for a championship, unlike most men. He says that they both have a lot in common, and that they garner the respect of their peers and have a deep passion for the industry. Rollins then accepts McIntyre's challenge at Money In The Bank out of duty and necessity, as the fans needs a leader more than ever. Rollins says that he is a proven leader and McIntyre is not, and that he is the one who will sacrifice for the greater good, make the difficult decisions and be the light for the darkness. He says that at Money In The Bank, he will take his title not because he wants to, but because he has to.

We see footage from earlier today of The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) driving around as they chant their own team name and proclaim that they will dominate the tag team division.

Before the next match, MVP says that in his storied career, he has seen a lot of WWE Superstars literally rise and fall in pursuit of the Money In The Bank Briefcase for a championship match contract. He mentions Aleister Black punching his ticket as well as Rey Mysterio taking on Murphy later tonight, then says that right now is his turn and that Apollo Crews is in his way. He says that Apollo Crews is talented, but he is outclassed by him, and he says that he will go on to the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Apollo Crews beats MVP to advance to the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Ruby Riott. Riott says there was never really a Riott Squad to her, and that she had to get double shoulder surgery from carrying Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan on her back and making them look good and threatening. She says that Logan has a broken arm and that Morgan will be lucky if she doesn't break both of hers. She says that Morgan thinks she is all grown up, but she will show her how broken and weak she is without her.

Liv Morgan beats Ruby Riott.

We see Bobby Lashley flip a tractor tire, then says any world class athlete can flip the tire before asking who can flip the even bigger one behind him.

In memory of Howard Finkel, 1950 - 2020.

Rey Mysterio beats Murphy to qualify for the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship is official for Money In The Bank.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Zelina Vega and Angel Garza. Zelina calls Drew McIntyre a coward for striking Andrade when he could barely stand, and that nothing is certain before Money in The Bank and that it would be a shame if McIntyre did not make it to the event. Zelina leaves, then Garza says he cannot wait for Charly to ask her how it felt to beat McIntyre tonight.

Charlotte Flair beats Kayden Carter with the Figure Eight.

We see Bobby Lashley topple the bigger tire, then Lashley says that this is the kind of power that the WWE locker room needs to fear.

Andrade beats Akira Tozawa. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up after the match.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) introduce Bianca Belair, then guest on commentary for the next match.

Bianca Belair beats Santana Garrett.

Drew McIntyre beats Angel Garza. After the match, McIntyre tells Zelina Vega she can keep sending guys after him and he can keep Claymore Kicking them, then Claymore Kicks Austin Theory and chases Andrade to the back to end the show.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
