Rebellion, Night Two - Impact Wrestling recap for April 28, 2020

Chris Bey beats Rohit Raju, Suicide and Trey Miguel in a four-way match.

It is announced that Jordynne Grace and Taya Valkyrie are not here and will not be competing tonight.

We see Josh Matthews interview Tessa Blanchard via webcam. Tessa says it destroys her that she cannot be at the show tonight due to current world events, and that she is bettering herself right now to come back better than ever. She says that Michael Elgin loves to make bold claims and that she would love to shut him up.

Joey Ryan - officially known as Joseph P. Ryan - beats Cousin Jake after rolling him up and using the ropes for leverage.

Rosemary is still at a bar, talking with Taya Valkyrie via phone about their Full Metal Mayhem match. Taya - saying that she did not want to be in the match - says that she looks like a wreck, that her dog Presley won't eat, and that Jordynne Grace makes her sick. Rosemary tells Taya that Havok has replaced Grace in the match, but Taya says tells Rosemary that Havok is all hers. Rosemary tells her she's already beaten her, and tells her to show up for the match. When it becomes obvious that Taya won't show and that she is planning a trip to Las Vegas if Rosemary wins, Rosemary tells Taya that she owes her, saying she is lucky the "prospects" at the bar are "dead."

Rosemary beats Havok in a Full Metal Match with a lead pipe. During the match, someone is seen watching from behind the barricade. Madison Rayne identifies this woman as "Nevaeh," but does not elaborate further, and it seems that Havok knows who Nevaeh is.

Backstage, Willie Mack says it felt great to win the X Division Championship, as he used to watch the X Division when the greats of the division have their great matches back then. Rich Swann says that Willie has what it takes to be the champion. As Swann welcomes Willie to the club of X Division Championship, Johnny Swinger shows up, saying that Willie promised him a shot at the championship and leaves. Swann says that Swinger smells like cheap tanner.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Sami Callihan vs. Rich Swann in an oVe Rules Match for the Impact X Division Championship at Rebellion 2019.

In footage from earlier today, Michael Elgin says he is disappointed that Eddie Edwards and Tessa Blanchard aren't here so he can send them to the hospital on the way to becoming World Champion. He insists that he will become World Champion tonight.

Michael Elgin shows up. He says that Rebellion holds a special place in his heart, as he came to Impact to make a statement and become World Champion. His sights have been set on the title for the last year, and tonight, the dream was going to be realized. However, he is in the ring with a microphone instead of two opponents, as Tessa Blanchard has bitten off more than she can chew and Eddie doesn't want anymore of him after their best-of-five series. He demands a referee come into the ring, and referee Brandon Tolle shows up. As he demands that the ref raises his hand, he demands that ring announced David Penzer get into the ring. When he refuses, he threatens to put him in the ring. Penzer gets in the ring. Elgin then demands that Penzer proclaim him new World Champion as the referee raises his hand, and as all of this goes down, the lights go down and Moose's entrance music suddenly hits. Moose is on the stage, and when he unties the sash around his robe, he is wearing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship around his waist as he heads into the ring. Moose says he understands Elgin's pain, and Elgin says that the World Championship is his. As Moose proclaims himself TNA World Heavyweight Champions, Elgin says that TNA's name - which Moose has been running down - is now Impact and tells Moose to go back to the mid-card. Moose says that while Elgin had a "playdate" with Eddie Edwards, he ran down every wrestler than came to TNA, and says that if Elgin wants a piece of his title, all he has to do is ask. When Elgin says he takes, not asks, Hernandez shows up. Hernandez says that Moose likes to run his mouth, and says that where he comes from, you have to beat somebody to become World Champion. He tells both men to start fighting, and that there is no fight without him. This starts a match.

Moose beats Hernandez and Michael Elgin in a three-way match. After the match, Moose demands David Penzer address him as TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He does.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
