Before the next match, Hardcore Holly confronts Crash Holly in the locker room for challenging Test for the WWF Hardcore Championship, saying the title is named after him. Crash says he shares the same last name as he does, and that he can be more hardcore than Hardcore ever will be before shoving him to the floor.

Crash Holly beats Test to become the WWF Hardcore Champion after Hardcore Holly - who has been watching from the stage - walks down the ramp with a steel chair and hits Test in the head with a chair shot seemingly intended for Crash.

In the DX Express, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H have a team meeting with the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), Tori, and The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero). Billy Gunn gets to face Buh Buh Ray Dudley tonight, while Saturn and Malenko have a tag team match. Benoit gets to take on Kane tonight, while Triple H, X-Pac and Road Dogg will take care of Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu). Triple H then says that Cactus Jack is off-limits to everyone but himself.

Big Show shows up. He says he lies awake at night, not understanding why the fans constantly boo him. Two months ago, people cheered for him. Now he wants to know what has changed, and asks if he has changed that much in two months. He says he likes The Rock and supports him, but at the same time, The Rock insulted him by calling him a jabroni, and while it may be funny to the fans, he considers it an insult and he will not put up with it. As he keep saying he is not a bad guy, Big Show also talks about losing the WWF Championship to Triple H and not getting a rematch despite doing everything Triple H wanted him to do, as well as how he won the Royal Rumble Match instead of The Rock. He then says he got screwed due to a few incompetent referees, then says he was trying to win back the fans by proving he won it, and if he has to prove it one more time, he will do it. He shows the footage of the finish to the Royal Rumble Match again - the second time from a different angle and the third time in slow motion - and says his feet did not touch the mat before The Rock's. He then says the fans would cheer loudly for a loser instead of the actual winner, and says he does not understand how the fans can do this. He asks if anyone can explain how this is right, then Kurt Angle shows up. He says he has been listening to what Big Show has been saying, and wants to shake his hand, which he does. He shames the fans for booing Big Show for having a little bit of integrity, and says some people in the WWF do care about the rules as well as what is right and wrong. Angle then tells a story to prove that point about how in 1992, he was training for the Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. All of a sudden, Chris Jericho and Chyna show up before Angle can get further into the story. Jericho welcomes everyone to "Nashville Is Jericho," then mentions how "an Olympic hero with no neck and a ridiculous giant with no testicles" is something you do not see everyday before talking how about "Kirk Angel" made Big Show seem entertaining recently and that he wishes Kurt Angle would shut the hell up. Jericho then says he will give Angle a Y2J beating he will never, ever forget again at No Way Out, and Angle tells Jericho that if he has a problem, they should have their match tonight. He then proposes a tag team match against himself and Big Show, and says that Jericho will never find someone who lacks the intelligence to team up with him. Suddenly, The Rock shows up, and Big Show covers his ears as The Rock speaks. The Rock tells Chris Jericho that while tag team wrestling is not in his repertoire, he will team with him as long as he can get "that Olympic goof" Kurt Angle to know his role and shut his mouth. He could care less about Angle, however, as he is only teaming up with Jericho to get his hands on Big Show. He tells Big Show he has heard his complaints and seen his footage, and tells him that he is absolutely right. He says his feet did touch the ground first, that he did call him a jabroni, and his fans do boo Big Show. He then says the fans boo Big Show and do not give him the respect he deserves for a reason, and has some footage of his own of the one thing Big Show thinks he does best. The footage is The Rock making fun of Big Show raising his hand up and yelling in the locker room that was recorded earlier in the day, and the footage is shown again from a different angle and in slow motion. The Rock then says the fans Big Show because he whines, bitches, moans and complains. He realizes Big Show is seven feet tall, 500 lbs. and the biggest threat to his career. He then tells Big Show to forget about the crowd, as he should be focused on how to keep him from kicking his candy-ass and going to WrestleMania.

Players from the Tennessee Titans football team are in the front row tonight.

We see a video package on the brief history of the Hell In A Cell Match.

Before the next match begins, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero attack Kane before being ejected from the ringside area by referee Jimmy Korderas.

Kane beats Chris Benoit by disqualification. During the match, Tori shows up and slaps Paul Bearer, and Paul Bearer grabs at Tori only to be struck from behind by Chris Benoit. This ends the match, but Kane slowly stalks Tori up the ramp. Suddenly, X-Pac shows up and shoots Kane in the face with a flamethrower, and EMTs immediately have to tend to Kane.

Al Snow, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and The Radicalz (Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn) beat Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) after the action at ringside distracts Christian and leaves Jeff Hardy vulnerable. After the match, The Hardy Boyz and the team of Edge and Christian argue in the middle of the ring, and Matt Hardy slaps Edge in the face. This starts a brwawl between both teams, and referees and officials have to rush into the ring to break everything up. During the match, it is mentioned that Kane ahs been transported to a local medical facility.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James) beat Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) after Triple H smacks a steel chair into Rikishi's injured ankle and X-Pac pulls Road Dogg away from the Hip Hop Drop. Throughout the match, The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) are seen watching the match on a television monitor backstage. After the match, DX continues to attack Too Cool, and The Radicalz continue to make fun of what is happening to Too Cool.

Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty help Rikishi into the trainer's room.

The Godfather and D'Lo Brown beat The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert. During the match, it is announced that Kane has been transferred to the burn ward of a local medical facility. Later on in the math, Tazz shows up and attacks both Boss Man and Prince Albert as referee Jack Doan is pre-occupied with D'Lo Brown, allowing The Godfather to hit the Pimp Drop for the win.

Jim Ross interviews Cactus Jack in the ring. Cactus Jack says that when he looks back, he thinks of three WWF Championship, eight WWF Tag Team Championship, being the very first WWF Hardcore Champion, being the king of the Japanese deathmatches, writing New York Times #1 best-seller and having his own Chef Boyardee ravioli commercial. He says he has done everything he has ever set his sights on. He admits that he finds it hard to move around in the mornings after putting his body on the line every night, and told Vince McMahon that he consider hanging the boots up because of it. He was embarrassed of his performance in the ring, and while he funny and "The Rock 'n Sock Connection" was "pretty damn good," but when he looked at his goals, he never set out to make people laugh; he set out to be Cactus Jack. He talks about his career changed after seeing "The Thrilla in Manila," and says it was "The damnedest thing [he] had ever seen in his life" and ended with Joe Frazier sitting on the stool unable to complete the last room. He says he saw himself in Joe Frazier, and saw a guy who had given up his all for fifteen years, and if he had hung up the tights that, nobody would have thought any less of him except for himself, as he did not want to finish his career "sitting on a stool." This led to the match between him and Triple H at Royal Rumble, and he lost to Triple H as he was the better man and just a little bit better. He then challenged Triple H to Hell In A Cell, and mentioned that the last time Hell In A Cell happened, he got two teeth knocked out, knocked out for the first time in his career, a dislocated shoulder and jaw, fourteen stitches below his lip, two broken legs, and kidney damage that wouldn't make him feel the same for ten weeks. He says it was without a doubt the worst beating of his life and the greatest day of his career. Jim Ross leaves the ring, and Cactus Jack says that after all that was done and he tried to stick his tongue through the hole in his lip, he got up and finished the match. Cactus Jack then says that the last five or six retirement matches he has seen were a couple of guys who were prostituting their names and careers for a few extra dollars or to take a six-week vacation, but the two greatest things he has in his life are his name and his word, and he has given his word that No Way Out will be his last match if he loses. He is fully prepared for that match to be his very last, and he realizes that by looking in the crowd, tonight may be the last time he has a chance to talk to the fans. He thanks everyone who believed in "the 22-year-old kid diving off the apron in Texas," everyone who stood up in Worcester, Massachusetts when he won his first WWF Championship, and everyone who bought Have A Nice Day. He cannot guarantee he will win at No Way Out, but he can guarantee he will not end his career sitting on a stool, as he will go down swinging or he will not go down at all. Cactus Jack then tells Triple H that win, lose or draw, he will climb up to the top of the cell and come down on top of him. For the Mankind fans, he says "Have a nice day," and for the Cactus Jack fans, he says "Bang bang!" Cactus Jack is about to walk up the ramp when WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is seen on the stage. Stephanie says Cactus Jack is a dreamer and a very passionate man, but so is she, and last night, that dream turned into a nightmare when Mankind drove a wooden beam through the front windshield of the DX Express. Stephanie says that Cactus Jack caused over $5,000 worth of damage, and she had to pay well over $350,000 for the DX Express. She then says that at No Way Out, Cactus Jack will be the one who pays with his career when Triple H beats him in Hell In A Cell. She also has a warrant for his arrest, and says he should start paying tonight. Stephanie then brings out four police officers, who pulls out a pair of handcuffs. Cactus Jack allows himself to be handcuffed and to go quietly, then Triple H shows up to watch Cactus Jack being arrested.

Cactus Jack is placed in a jail cell by police as they try to work things out with Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley.

Johnathan Coachman reports that Kane has suffered second-degree burns to his neck as well as vision problems, and that doctors will be running more tests to find out the extent of his injuries. It is also reported that Kane's mask has saved him from suffering even worse injuries.

The police hand Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley the keys to Cactus Jack's cell.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley taunt Cactus Jack with the key to the cell and a box of pizza.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beats Buh Buh Ray Dudley by disqualification after D-Von Dudley pulls the top rope down as Billy Gunn is about to go off the ropes to hit the Fameasser. After the match, D-Von whips Billy Gunn into the steel steps, then pulls a table out from underneath the ring. After a brainbuster from D-Von, "Road Dogg" Jesse James shows up and hits Buh Buh Ray with a low blow as he ands on the table, and Billy Gunn puts Buh Buh Ray through the table with a Fameasser after Road Dogg knocks D-Von out of the ring.

Triple H kicks at the walls around the cell Cactus Jack is in, revealing that the steel cage Cactus Jack is in is connected by chains to the DX Express. He then threatens to drag Cactus Jack "from here to Hartford."

Kurt Angle and Big Show beat Chris Jericho and The Rock by disqualification after Chyna hits Big Show in the back with a steel chair to no effect. The Rock saves Chyna from a choke slam, then hits Big Show with a Rock Bottom before Jericho puts Big Show in the Walls of Jericho. Referees run in to restore order, then Jericho gets back in the ring so he and Chyna can brawl with Angle and put him in the Walls of Jericho, while Big Show and The Rock take a brawl of their own to the back. Big Show eventually puts The Rock through a backstage window, and Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley give Big Show the thumbs up before getting in the DX Express, which drags the cage with Cactus Jack in it on its way out of the arena.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 21, 2000

RAW

The DX Express shows up at the arena, and D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Tori come out. Triple H tells the driver to stay put, "because you never know when a WWF Superstar is gonna want to tkae a ride on the DX Express."

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Tori show up to start tonight's show. Stephanie asks the crowd to pay attention, but she gets booed so much that she tells them to shut up. She then talks about how they stuffed Kane, Paul Bearer and Cactus Jack in the DX Express and how she and DX had an image of the three of them stranded in the middle of nowhere, and Triple H mocks the mans for being "sweaty, toothless morons." The Rock suddenly shows up soon after that, but Triple H is not impressed when The Rock says he has come back to Atlanta, Georgia. He then says he and Triple H have developed a pattern where every single week, Triple H runs his mouth and subjects everyone to watch him cut a 20-minute promo where he does not really say anything. He mocks Triple H's voice as he does this, then tells Triple H he actually sucks. He says tonight will be a special night, but it will not be a DX night as the thought of another DX night makes him want to stick his finger down his throat and spew "The People's Vomit" all over DX. Triple H compliments "the pajama top" that The Rock is wearing, then says as much as he hates him, he can count on The Rock coming out each week to mention of his catchphrases so DX can laugh at him. However, if he says tonight will be a DX night, it will be a DX night. Since there are four of DX and just one of The Rock, The Rock does not have a chance or a choice. Suddenly, Cactus Jack shows up, and admits that DX left stranded in the middle of the road last Thursday night, but they did not leave him stranded for long as he has been hitch-hiking around the country since he was seventeen years old, and unlike Triple H, America does not hate his guts. He says it did not take long before a big truck with a driver named Big Earl showed up and he told him stories about what he will do to Triple H at No Way Out, including the one where he goes outside of the cage, heads up to the top and flies off the top onto him. Along the way, they saw two more figures and picked up a couple more passengers: Kane and Paul Bearer, who show up. Cactus Jack then says a six-man tag match would sound like a lot of fun, and he decides to give the Atlanta fans a taste of what they can expect to see Sunday. Both sides brawl, then Big Show runs in with a steel chair and levels anyone who is not a member of DX. The Rock and Kane receive a head shot from the steel chair, and Cactus Jack gets Pedigreed by Triple H. Referees and officials head to the ring to restore order.

The six-man tag match between the team of The Rock, Cactus Jack and Kane vs. the team of D-Generation X (Triple H and X-Pac) and Big Show is made official.

Chyna is the focus of the cover and feature article of the newest issue of Raw Magazine.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho welcomes everyone to "Raw is Jericho," then says all the Jerichoholics are ready for a rock 'n roll party tonight. He then asks who could be a better host for "this shindig" than him and Chyna. Kurt Angle then comes out and says that not good thing has happened in Atlanta, Georgia since he won Olympic gold in 1996, and that since then, Atlanta has gone from cheering Olympic heroes to cheering "punks and foul-mouthed hooligans and bad apples" like John Rocker, Isaiah Rider and Chris Jericho. He then explains himself for last week's actions on SmackDown when he attacked Chyna with the WWF European Championship. He then says he was told by reliable sources that Chyna was going to steal his belt and sell it for money so she could buy more plastic surgery. He then says he and The British Bulldog are going to give Jericho and Chyna they will never, ever forget, mocking Jericho as he says "ever." Jericho attacks both men, starting the next match early.

Kurt Angle and The British Bulldog beat Chyna and Chris Jericho after Angle hits Jericho in the face with the WWF Intercontinental Championship while Jericho has The British Bulldog in the Walls of Jericho as referee Jimmy Korderas is pre-occupied with keeping Chyna out of the ring.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) meet up with Rikishi Phatu as he is getting his ankle taped up by a medical doctor, but Rikishi Phatu tells them not to worry about him and take care of their business. The doctor tells Rikishi he should not compete tonight, and Too Cool tells Rikishi not to worry about Eddie Guerrero, but Rikishi tells them to handle their business.

Before the next match, Al Snow talks with "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman backstage. Snow says Too Cool are over because they dance, and says he and Blackman should dance, too. Snow puts some sunglasses on Blackman's face, then Al Snow turns on a stereo and tries to dance to it. Blackman is not impressed.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) beat Al Snow and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman after Blackman does the moonwalk at the behest of Al Snow only to be shoved into Snow - knocking Snow off the apron - and rolled up by Scotty 2 Hotty. During the match, The Radicals (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) are seem watching the match on a television monitor backstage.

The Radicals (Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko) beat The Godfather and D'Lo Brown despite Saturn not being the legal man as he hits the top rope elbow drop prior to the pinfall. Before the match, it is announced that fans can chat with Tazz, The Rock and The Radicals (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) on an exclusive webcast on WWE.com at 11 PM Eastern after Raw.

Backstage, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) and The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) argue. Billy Gunn says he and Road Dogg know what they are doing, and tells them to follow while they lead. Buh Buh Ray tells The New Age Outlaws that he and D-Von will see them in the ring, and tells them to try to keep up.

WWF warns us: don't try this at home.

The DX Express is still parked outside of the arena.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn hits Christian with a cheap shot with the microphone after saying "If you're not down with that..." before the match begins.

Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) despite Christian dragging Jeff Hardy out of a pinfall too late after Buh Buh Ray Dudley hits "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn in the head with a steel chair from behind.

WAR ZONE

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) and Viscera. After the match, Mae Young gets in the ring and stomps on Crash Holly only to get clotheslined by Hardcore Holly and splashed by Viscera. Mark Henry and EMTs scramble to check on Mae Young, who is put on a stretcher.

A distraught "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry joins Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah in the ambulance with Mae Young.

Chris Benoit beats Test. During the match, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko are seen watching the match on a television monitor. Later on in the match, Eddie Guerrero sneaks towards the ring with his left arm still in a cast, and smacks Test in the back with a piece of pipe, unbeknownst to the referee. Benoit then hits the flying headbutt from the top rope for the win.

Rikishi Phatu comes down to the ring on a reinforced steel crutch for his match with Eddie Guerrero as the rest of The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko) watch from backstage on a television monitor. Guerrero shows up and says that Rikishi isn't looking "too cool," and mockingly asks if Rikishi put too much weight on it before saying Rikishi hurt it while dancing. He tells Rikishi not to go anywhere, and says that since Rikishi's ultimate goal is to get on Dance Fever, he will show him a new step, which he. As soon as Eddie turns his back, Rikishi then smacks the crutch into Eddie's head and hits the Banzai Drop on Eddie to get the win, revealing that he is not hurt after all. Rikishi Phatu beats Eddie Guerrero in a no-disqualification match. After the match, the rest of The Radicalz attack Rikishi, but Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) show up with crutches of their own and use them to level The Radicalz. Perry Saturn eats the spike piledriver, and Too Cool stand tall in the ring before dancing.

The DX Express is seen outside of the arena again.

Michael Cole interviews Cactus Jack, who does not care if he takes a ride on the DX Express again, as he will hitchhike to get to where he needs to again. What obsesses him, however, is the look he wants to have and cannot stop thinking about: the look on Triple H's face when he is 23 feet above the ring ready to leap off the cage on top of him. He says he has to win at No Way Out, or else he, Mankind and Dude Love are done and will never again. He will dive off the top of the cage, and if he has to show up to WrestleMania with a walker, he will. Leaping off the top of the cell is the one thing he has never done, and at Hell In A Cell at No Way Out, it is the one thing he has to and will do.

Backstage, Triple H tells X-Pac that they and Big Show will get the job done, and X-Pac and Big Show open up the baggage compartment of the DX Express as Triple H says that somebody will be taking a ride tonight.

Tazz beats The Big Boss Man by disqualification after Boss Man uses his nightstick to break the Tazzmission. After the match, Prince Albert shows up and attacks Tazz, then gangs up on him along with The Big Boss Man.

Big Show and D-Generation X (Triple H and X-Pac) beat The Rock, Cactus Jack and Kane after Triple H hits Cactus Jack with a fire extinguisher behind referee Earl Hebner's back. After the match, The Rock is seen beating up Big Show on top of a pile of boxes, and Triple H runs over there. Kane and X-Pac also go at it there near a production area, and both team s continue to brawl. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley hits Cactus Jack with a trash can lid, which distracts Cactus Jack so that Triple H can hit him. Afterwards, Triple H, Stephanie, Tori and X-Pac run back to the DX Express, but Cactus Jack has caught up. Triple H tries to slow Cactus Jack down by throwing things at him, and he and Stephanie make it back to the DX Express. Cactus Jack pushes a steel pole through the front windshield of the DX Express, which manages to speed off.

WWE briefly acknowledges the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.

It is announced that there will an exclusive report on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's three-hour spinal surgery and the implications it will have on his career tonight.

Cactus Jack shows up to start tonight's show. He says congratulations are in honor for Triple H, as he did something he believed could not be done: make Mankind mad. He then asks Triple H why he did it, as Mankind was friendly, funny and downright huggable, but he should have known that there was a sick S.O.B. waiting to be woken up deep inside his soul. He says Triple H woke up the S.O.B. when he cracked him open with the ring bell, and when he felt his blood run down his face, he would be lying if he said he didn't like it just a little bit, as he realized deep down inside that he was Cactus Jack all along. He says Triple H should remember him, and if he doesn't, then he should pull up a seat as he has a reminder from two-and-a-half years ago where he rocked his world. He says Triple H paid the price and will do so again, as he will make him suffer in such a way that September 1997 was just an inkling of what will happen to him. He says all of his faces took a beating for a long time, and there is no way a normal man should be walking around after the punishment that has been dished out, but he is not a normal man. He has spent the last year feeling he was not the man he used to be and asked for forgiveness, and the fans forgave him, for Mankind become "one entertaining son of a gun." He does not look down on Mankind, who he says will return one day to make people laugh, but Sunday will not be that day as there will be no laughter. At Royal Rumble, he will not be pretend to be the man he used to be; instead, he will be just a little bit better. He does not regret a single night in the ten-dollar motels, or a single night in the back of a 1978 Ford Fairmont, his wounds sticking to the seat and his ear getting ripped off, as all those things made him what he is, and what he is is "one bad son of a bitch." This Sunday, he will also be "one mad son of a bitch," and he will take it on Triple H's ass. When he sits backstage, gets goosebumps up and down his arms and laces up his boots, it will not be just a change of costume, it will be a change in mindset that says he will not be denied, and he will make Triple H suffer. He will lace the boots up and kiss "[his] pansy little ass." He cannot wait until Royal Rumble and his shot at the WWF Championship, but what he wants is a piece of Triple H's ass right away. He calls Triple H out, saying if he has the testicular fortitude, all he has to do is come to the ring. There will be no titles on the line, and it will just be the two of them. Triple H shows up, and says that for four days, he has thought of nothing else but Cactus Jack. At Royal Rumble, it will be the two of them in a street fight for the WWF Championship, and while that would not have been his first choice of match against him - as it was under duress - that is what it will be. They will pull out all the stops with the WWF Championship on the line, but as Cactus Jack stands in the ring and tries to convince himself and the people just how bad he really is, as sadistic as Cactus Jack can be at Royal Rumble, he will reach deep down into a place he has never reached in his life and be just that much more sadistic than Cactus Jack can ever be. Also, as sadistic as Cactus Jack is, Mick Foley hates Cactus Jack's guts, and he feels that Mick Foley just might be even a little bit afraid of him, as every time he has maimed and crippled people and become more sadistic, Mick Foley died a little inside as he couldn't stand him. When he reaches that level, he will love every second of it. Triple H tells Mick Foley to bring Cactus Jack and be scared and very afraid, for what he is bringing is more than he could ever dream of and more than he could every handle. Cactus Jack then has one question for Triple H for everyone who wants to see them go at it right now. Triple H tells Mankind that if he is asking him to walk down to the ring and party with him, he would love to, but he invites a few more guests in the form of the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Jack meets DX in the ring, but the numbers game quickly takes over. The Rock rushes to the ring and makes the save for Mankind, but Big Show is waiting near the stage and he goes after The Rock, taking him out of the ring and over the barricade before fighting DX off single-handedly. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) also run in to fight Road Dogg and Billy Gunn, and everyone flees over the barricade and into the crowd except for Triple H and Cactus Jack. Cactus Jack gets a few shots in on Triple H, who eventually flees through the crowd.

The orange lights and logo appear as Test makes his way to the ring before the next match only to met head on by The Big Boss Man.

Test beats The Big Boss Man to become the WWF Hardcore Champion following interference from Prince Albert and Test using Boss Man's own nightstick against him as part of a top rope elbow drop.

Backstage, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) plan revenge against everyone who got involved at the top of the show. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn have a tag team match with The Rock and Big Show, assuming they don't take each other out first. Meanwhile, Triple H and X-Pac face The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). X-Pac wants nothing to do with them, but Stephanie tells him to trust her and Triple H, as they have everything under control.

Terri Runnels is seen admiring herself in a dressing room mirror.

Jonathan Coachman interviews The Big Boss Man, who says Prince Albert stuck his nose in his business. He plans to get revenge on Albert tonight.

The Godfather and D'Lo Brown beat Edge and Christian. During the match, one of The Godfather's hos gets on the apron only for D'Lo Brown to whip Christian into her, knocking her off. Christian goes for the tag, but Edge is checking on the ho. The distraction allows D'Lo Brown to hit the Sky High for the win. After the match, The Godfather gives Edge and Christian the hos for the whole night. Edge and Christian aren't exactly happy with the consolation prize, especially since Edge is engaged.

The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert are seen brawling backstage. Albert is thrown into the women's locker room, and Albert has to run away from an angry Tori.

Before the next match, Tori runs to Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, wanting a match between Prince Albert and Kane. Stephanie makes the match before Tori can even get the words out.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says he has been told that tonight, he has a mystery opponent tonight. He is not sure who it is, but he is confident, as an Olympic hero, that he will come out on top because he knows each and every backstage like the back of his hand. He knows that with his 3 I's - intensity, integrity and intelligence - he will come out on top. He then finds out that his opponent tonight is "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. We then find out that the "mystery opponent" idea comes from Triple H, and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is none too happy.

Kurt Angle beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman after The British Bulldog - who hasn't been seen in months - crotches Blackman with his Kendo stick before whacking him in the back with it as Angle distracts referee Jack Doan. Backstage, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley sticks it to Triple H by telling him that dog can still be man's best friend. Triple H tells her to keep going if she wans to see a temper.

Jonathan Coachman interviews Big Show. Big Show says it is no secret that he does not like The Rock, as what he did to The Rock was personal. He hopes he has earned the fans' respect, as he respect them. He also says The Rock is putting the cart before the horse by saying he is going to win the Royal Rumble Match, but The Rock will not win; he will. Tonight, all The Rock has to do is let him take care of The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and stay out of his way.

The Kat is seen admiring herself in a dressing room mirror.

Terri Runnels, Luna Vachon, B.B., The Kat, Ivory, Jacqueline and Jerry "The King" Lawler (the last of whom is holding a copy of Raw Magazine) are in the ring. Lawler announces that at Royal Rumble, there will be the Miss Royal Rumble swimsuit competition. All of the women in the ring are participating. Lawler pulls out a centerfold of Terri in a red bikini and cowboy boots, and asks her how she is going to top that. Terri says that "less is more." The Kat, when asked about a strategy, asks Lawler if he remembers Armageddon. B.B. says the fans are ready to see "a much bigger show." Ivory calls Lawler a pervert, but Lawler doesn't care. Ivory then grabs the microphone and says everyone is a pervert, and that she will have nothing to do with the competition. Jacqueline takes the microphone away from her, and Luna tells Ivory that if they have to be in the contest, then show does see. Luna then rips her dress off, the rest of the women get on top of her. As referees and officials try to break this up, Mae Young shows up. As everyone leaves the ring, Mae Young gets in it, and says it is about time that everybody gets their money's worth, and announcing that she will show her "puppies." Mae takes her jacket off, but "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry, Harvey Wippleman and The Fabulous Moolah rush in, cover her up and take her to the back before she can bare her breasts.

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) beat D-Generation X (Triple H and X-Pac) by disqualification after The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) get involved and beat up The Acolytes with the help of Triple H and X-Pac.

We see footage from earlier today where Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Cole reports that Austin received spinal surgery today at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas to relieve chronic pain in his arms, neck and legs. The procedure was conducted by Dr. Lloyd Youngblood, who says that everything went as well as expected. We then hear from Youngblood, who states that everything went smoothly. He says the basic problem Austin had was some bone spurs in his neck that were pressing on his spinal cord, which caused pain and early signs of neurological problems. The procedure took longer than usual due to Austin being "more solidly built" than most people that the hospital operates on, causing the procedure to take two-and-a-half to three hours instead of the usual one to one-and-a-half. THankfully, Austin was stable throughout, and was also well-prepared for the surgery. Afterwards, Austin had a positive reception to the surgery and was able to get up under his own power. It will still take many months for Austin to get back in the ring, as the hospital is looking for solid bone healing. Once that happens, Austin will be able to get back in the ring.

The Rock is seen watching the show on a monitor backstage.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley celebrate their attack on The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Triple H says that he is glad that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's surgery is successful, as he will suffer the same fate as The Acolytes when he gets back in the ring. Road Dogg then mentions that Big Show and The Rock have proven that they cannot co-exist together, and that they will beat them tonight.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Rock. He says he and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin have been thoguh a lot together, and if he was with him right now, he would give him a "hell yeah" and a beer toast to a successful surgery, as he can go fishing and hunting again as well as come back to the WWF. He then retracts his statement about Big Show, saying he is not a jabroni; instead, he is a seven-foot, 500-lb. steaming, stinking piece of monkey crap. He says he called him and 29 other people a jabroni, then spells out "jabroni" before saying it doesn't matter how you spell jabroni. He then says he will win the Royal Rumble Match, go on to WrestleMania and become the best damn WWF Champion there ever was. As for tonight, he makes Big Show famous when they team up, and syas he does not need or want him as a tag team partner. He says that if Big Show wants to say it is personal between them, then he can do something personal for him by staying on the apron, raising his hand and yelling. He then calls Big Show a jabroni.

Jeff Hardy beats Buh Buh Ray Dudley after Matt Hardy fights D-Von Dudley at ringside. After the match, D-Von Dudley takes the boots to Jeff Hardy before he and Buh Buh Ray hit him with the Dudley Death Drop. Matt Hardy gets in the ring, but he also eats a 3D. The Dudley Boys then pull a wooden table out from underneath the ring. They place Jeff Hardy on top of it before Buh Buh Ray powerbombs Matt Hardy off the rop rope into Jeff and through the table. Referees have to check on

Backstage, The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) want to know what Chris Jericho is thinking defending the Intercontinental Championship against Rikishi Phatu tonight before defending it against Hardcore Holly at Royal Rumble, and Hardcore Holly feels like a fool asking Crash about it. Meanwhile, Chyna and The Kat are thinking about the same thing, and Chyna thinks that Jericho is not only going to lose the title, but that Jericho's ego "is about as big as Rikishi's butt."

Before the next match, Chris Jericho says he is defending the WWF Intercontinenatl Championship tonight because that is what honorable and legendary champions do, and in his eyes and those of the Jerichoholics, he is the undisputed Intercontinental Champion. As for Rikishi, waht he does not know is that he is a dancing machiine and that he will be happy to teach him a couple of movies such as "The Great Caesar's Ghost" and "The Electric Banana," but for now, he will have to destroy him Ayatollah-style.

Rikishi Phatu beats Chris Jericho by disqualification. During the match, Chris Jericho inadvertently hits the referee with a running cross body, and The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) rush in to attack Rikishi only to be overpowered. Rikishi is about to hit Jericho with the spike piledriver when Chyna runs in and hits Rikishi with a low blow before chewing Jericho out for defending the title. Rikishi then nails Chyna and Jericho with a double clothesline before hitting Chyna with a belly-to-belly suplex. Rikishi is about to hit Chyna with a Banzai Drop when Hardcore Holly attacks Rikishi with a steel chair, ending the match. Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) run in to fight The Hollys, sending them both out of the ring, with Crash falls victim to a spike piledriver from Rikishi. Too Cool and Rikishi then dance. Chris Jericho retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Cactus Jack is seen talking to Big Show backstage. He tells him that he had his problems with The Rock once upon a time, and says Show needs to work it out and get beyond it. Show says he will not have someone like THe Rock calling him a jabroni, but Cactus Jack suggest they work it out given that they are both talented athletes.

Kane beats Prince Albert as The Big Boss Man watches the match on a television set backstage. After the match, Albert tells Kane that he likes to be dominated by a woman, and so does he.

Cactus Rock asks The Rock to work together with Big Show, as D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attacks in packs. The Rock says he does not care about Big Show or DX, but Cactus Jack insists that they work together. The Rock says he will work with Big Show, and tells Cactus Jack to watch the match.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Rock and Big Show. The Rock attacks Big Show at the beginning of the match, and Triple H, X-Pac and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are seen watching the match from a recliner on the stage. Big Show is then seen standing at ringside near the barricade instead of the apron, sarcastically cheering The Rock on while berating the fans. Big Show eventually gets in the match, but as Road Dogg brings in a steel chair and distracts referee Earl Hebner, The Rock gets a steel chair of his own and hits Big Show in the head with it, giving The New Age Outlaws the win. After the match, The Rock hits Big Show with The People's Elbow.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 27, 1999

RAW

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley show up to start tonight's show. Triple H says it is the final Raw before a new millennium, and he finds it fitting that the McMahon-Helmsley Era is running the show. He says it does not matter what happened in the last 1,000 years; what matters is right here, right now, where they are the be-all and end-all of the WWF, as the crowd is witnessing the near-perfect completion of a perfect plan. It is only near-perfect as there is one more thing to accomplish: taking back the WWF Championship. Tonight, Big Show will be the completion of their plan when he steps into the ring with the single-greatest wrestler of all time - himself - and help him complete that plan when he beats him for the WWF Championship. Stephanie declares that the McMahon-Helmsley Era is going strong into the new millennium, but last Thursday on SmackDown, he kept his word, and tonight, Kane will have to face X-Pac. She says a McMahon always keeps their word unless they are forced to break it, and Mankind forced her to break her word on SmackDown, and says there will be no mutiny or rebel rousing. Triple H says the guys in the back need to realize it will be a lot easier to be with them than against them, and Mankind is a prime example of exactly that, saying that instead of rallying forces against them in the back, he will have learned that they are the power and everyone else will learn eventually. Mankind shows up, and says there will be unionizing, rebel rousing or mutiny, as he is all by himself. However, he has a lot on his mind and ponts to make pertaining to DX, and he will make those points tonight. He, like a lot of people, used to think that DX was "pretty cool," and that it was almost a year ago that DX hoisted him above their shoulders when he won the WWF Championship for the very first time. Almost a year later, instead of seeing cool guys, he sees a bunch of pointless cowards scurrying like cowards to their overbearing parents. He tells Road Doog to look at himself and ask what it felt like to take an elbow from Test, when he is one of the most creative people in the company, but he has been reduced to being Triple H's bootlicker. He also asks Billy Gunn how it felt to have Kane's hand around his throat, and instead of "Mr. Ass," he wants to call him "Mr. Ass Kisser." He then says it is good X-Pac was on hiatus, and he would have been thrown to the wolves last Thursday, too. He knows Triple H is out for the WWF Championship and cares for nothing else, and as he gets in the ring, he says that when he takes the WWF Championship, he will leave DX high and dry as he does not care about anybody else in the group. He then tells Stephanie that The Godfather wants her in the back with the other hos. Not surprisingly, he gets attacked by DX, but The Rock almost immediately runs into the ring and quickly cleans house single-handedly. DX runs to the stage, and Triple H says he is sick of this, and says this place is not big enough for all three of them and that somebody has to leave. After Stephanie whispers in his ear, Triple H announces that we have seen the last of "The Rock 'n Sock Connection" and that they will never be seen together again, for tonight, both Mankind and The Rock will fight each other in a Pink Slip On A Pole Match, and whoever loses is gone for good. Triple H declares that DX has the last laugh, and they have two words for one of them: you're fired.

Kane is seen backstage waiting for Tori.

Chyna and The Kat make their way to the ring. Chyna says that if Crash Holly wants to challenge her to a match and talk trash behind her back, then he can come to the ring right now. Hardcore and Holly Crash show up, then Hardcore Holly guests on commentary after Crash hits Chyna with a cheap shot. It is then announced that Tori has arrived to the arena.

Chyna beats Crash Holly.

Tori is seen hugging Kane backstage, then tells him her weekend was absolutely incredible and that X-Pac was a gentleman. She could have left any time he wanted, but she stayed to honor his commitment. Nevertheless, Kane was the only thing she tought of the whole time, then offers to grab him some coffee.

Tori is seen talking to The Brooklyn Brawler about her weekend. When Test wraps his arm around her shoulder and talks to her, however, Tori gets nervous and scared and moves away. Test has no idea what is going on.

Before the next match, it is announced that Pete Gas is the special guest timekeeper, Joey Abs the special guest referee, and Rodney the special guest ring announcer for the next match. Rodney goes on to make fun of the first three teams as he announces them, then calls The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) the single greatest-team in the WWF and their good friends in order to keep them from beating them up.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw), the team of The Godfather and D'Lo Brown and the team of Edge and Christian in a Four Corners Tag Team Match. During the match, Rodney and Pete Gas attack Bradshaw, and The Dudley Boyz double-team Faarooq from behind. They win the match after a fast count from Joey Abs. After the match, Bradshaw grabs a steel chair and hits all three members of THe Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) before he and Faarooq hit them with double-team maneuvers.

In the locker room, Kane asks Tori to calm down. Tori is crying as she says that Test touched her and said inappropriate things to her. Kane is crying as he hugs her.

Backstage, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley tells Triple H that it is about time that he bought her a diamond as the camera is centered on her diamond ring. Triple H says it took a while, but admits it is a heck of a rock. Speaking of a rock, either The Rock and Mankind are getting fired tonight. Stephanie says that Big SHow is also going down, as a new millennium needs a new WWF Champion in Triple H. He also says Kurt Angle's undefeated streak needs to come to an end, and that Angle will be in a handicap match against The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) now that Stephanie has told "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman top stop interfering in Angle's matches. Stephanie asks Triple H why he would want to do that. Suddenly, Kane and Tori show up, and Kane wants Test. Tori asks Triple H to make the match against Test and not X-Pac, and Triple H makes the match.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says everyone is aware of who he is and what his accomplishments are, as well as his "3 I's" - intensity, integrity and intelligence. He also says that just like other cities in America, Greensboro, North Carolina does not have the most intelligent people in the world, nor will they ever. However, two out of three ain't bad, and if they stick to the intensity and integrity, they will do just fine.

Kurt Angle beats The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) in a 2-on-1 handicap match. During the match, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up and hits Mosh with a Kendo Stick as Thrasher distracts the referee, and this allows Angle to win the match. After the match, The Headbangers continues to attack Kurt Angle with a double-team powerbomb-leg drop combination, but Blackman gets back in the ring and scares them off with the Kendo stick.

Backstage, Triple H is aggravated that Kurt Angle has just won tonight, Stephanie says "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman is not a rocket scientist and that must have forogtten, then says that Angle is a pretty good wrestler, just like Triple H. Triple H says he would kill Angle in the ring.

Michael Cole interviews Mankind backstage. Mankind says it is the stupidest thing he has ever heard of, and hates himself for carrying through with it. He admits that The Rock is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, but admits his own career is winding down and The Rock's best days are far ahead of him. It would be a shame for either him or The Rock to leave, and he asks the fans to forgive him if he does a few things are uncharacteristic of him, but at the same time, he has to do what he has to do.

Before the next match, Al Snow says he is not out here tonight for the fan's entertainment, as he has been in the business for 17 years. In those 17 years, he has made a lot of sacrifices, giving up watching his children grow up, spending long stretches away from his wife, and losing his best friend. He says he has done this for "a bunch of ungrateful, disrespectful people" who will not even acknowledge that they watched him wrestle the next day. He wants everyone in the arena and at home to know that some TV write did not tell him to come out and says this, and that he is saying this from his heart: he hates the fans. He says this is where he will draw the line, and he will not make another single sacrifice. Suddenly, Chris Jericho interrupts him. He says he was listening to Al SNow's prblems and grievances, and he has a solution: shutting the hell up. He also says that people will acknowledge him tomorrow when he is brutally beaten by the Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rollah.

Al Snow beats Chris Jericho by disqualification after Chyna shows up and hits Al Snow with Head. Chris Jericho retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

"Sexual Chocolate' Mark Henry asks Harvey Wippleman to go on a double date with him, Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. Harvey says the only way he will do it is if Moolah puts him in an inescapable wrestling hold. Moolah then grabs him by the ear and threatens to do just that. Wippleman says he will go only because Mark is his friend.

WAR ZONE

The Rock beats Mankind in a Pink Slip On A Pole Match. As a result, Mankind is fied from the World Wrestling Federation. During the match, D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is seen watching the match in the locker room. Shortly after this, Al Snow shows up and hits The Rock with Head, then tries to revive Mankind so he can climb to the top and grab the pink slip. Mankind almost grabs it, but he comes back down, hits Al Snow with a few right hands and throws him out of the ring. He then runs into a Rock Bottom, and Al Snow is heard saying that is the last time he will ever help Mankind. After the match, DX and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are seen celebrating in the locker room. Mankind then gets a standing ovation from the crowd, and says there is never any shame to losing to The Rock, though there is shame in the way it came about. He planned to call it quits sometime in the year 2000, but by his calculations, it's still 1999 and what just happened "kinda sucks." He says he has given the world a lot to remember him by, and ask the crowd that, when they are bored, to take out a Mick Foley tape, whether it be Mankind or Cactus Jack. Mankind then tells the crowd that he enjoyed every moment of those last 15 years. He then asks them not to play this match, because what happened at the hands of DX is a farce. He asks the fans to have a nice day, then the fans give him a standing ovation one more time. All the while, DX continues to mock Mankind now that he is fired.

The Godfather, Edge, Christian and Matt Hardy wish Mankind luck as he tells them to give the crowd "a little Mick Foley" every once in a while.

The team of Prince Albert and Ivory beat team of Val Venis and The Kat, the team of Viscera and Jacqueline and the team of Gangrel and Luna Vachon in the first-ever Intergender Four Corners Tag Team Match after taking advantage of the fact that Gangrel is not the legal man after Venis hits him with the Money Shot.

"Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry and Harvey Wippleman are at a restaurant as part of their double date with Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. Mark Henry reads Mae Young another poem. Harvey does the same for The Fabulous Moolah just to mess around with her.

Mankind goes into a production truck as part of his thanking everybody on the way out.

X-Pac beats Jeff Hardy. During the match, X-Pac tries to corner Terri Runnels in the ring, but Jeff Hardy hits him from behind before he can have his way with her.

Back at the restaurant, a fan asks "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry for an autograph. Mark signs it, then the fan asks why he is such a loser. Mark laughs, and says it's not that crucial, but when the fans keeps it up, Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah beat him up. Mark Henry and Harvey Wippleman have to keep them away from her.

Before the next match, Test tells Kane that he did not inappropriately touch Tori, and that he neither needs or wants Tori as he has enough woman problems of his own. Test then tells Kane to give Tori some Prozac or Midol to chill her out. If Kane wants to fight him over nothing, however, he will not back down.

Test beats Kane by disqualification after Kane tosses referee Jimmy Korderas down before hitting Test with the Tombstone Piledriver. It is noticed that Tori is not herself after Kane hits Test with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Mankind says goodbye to the referees and officials of the WWF as well as to Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson on his way out. D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon notice that Mankind is taking his time with the goodbyes, and decides to get security involved.

Michael Cole interviews Big Show, who says that this may be the last time he holds the WWF Championship, but he knows what is going on, and he sees what Triple H does ever since he has taken over, and says Triple H has made everything into a game and has mastered putting him through hell. Big Show says he has squashed everybody he has come up against, and now Triple H wants to step in the ring with him. He will not let Triple H bet the showstopper, and tonight, it will be game over for him.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty). During the match, Rikishi hits a standing side kick on Billy Gunn at ringside, and referee Teddy Long has to keep Rikishi away from him. Grandmaster Sexay hits a leg drop from the top rope on Road Dogg, but X-Pac gets in the ring and hits Grandmaster Sexay with the X-Factor to allow the Outlaws to retain. After the match, Rikishi plants Road Dogg with a piledriver, then Too Cool brawls with X-Pac and the Outlaws, and Too Cool comes out on top as The Outlaws and X-Pac are forced to retreat.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley eject Mankind from the building with help from local law enforcement.

Before the next match, Triple H tells Big Show that their match for the WWF Championship is a no-disqualification match. He then asks WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to stay up at the stage, as he would not want to have any interference.

Big Show retains the WWF Championship in a no-disqualification match. During the match, Triple H tosses referee Tim White to the side, then gets inadvertently whipped into him by Big Show. After this, the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attack Big Show with a low blow and a shot to the head with the WWF Championship. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley heads to the ring as DX continue to attack Big Show, and hands Triple H a steel chair as Big Show fights back. Triple H hits Big Show with the steel chair in the head, then Mankind runs in and hits Mankind int he back with the chair as he has Big Show ready for the Pedigree. Big Show recovers and choke slams Triple H to retain the WWF Championship.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 23, 1999

In footage from earlier today, Mankind talks to the locker room. He thinks the McMahon-Helmsley Era stinks, and he was not the only one who felt foolish for letting Triple H fool him into a match at the end of last Monday's show. He says that Matt Hardy has a cracked cheekbone and a broken nose, and Test has a broken nose of his own. He assures "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry that there is no excuse for what happened to Mae Young on Raw, and says the Holiday Topless Top Rope Match was just an excuse to show skin, although he admits he somewhat liked it. Most importantly, nobody wanted to see The Mean Street Posse seven times in one evening. He says he feels the same way as a lot of other people do, and that he will not see it anymore. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley confronts everyone in the room. She says that she has made a lot of mistakes, with the biggest one being listening to Triple H. She says this is not the McMahon-Helmsley Era anymore; this is the McMahon era, and it is back to business. She has Test take on "Road Dogg" Jesse James, puts The Rock against Al Snow, and gives Mankind a WWF Championship match against Big Show with Triple H in a cell suspended 15 feet above the ring. The winner gets Triple H, and the five invitees to the match - Test, Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) - can have whatever is left of Triple H.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho reminds us that Burl Ives wants us to have a holly, jolly Christmas; although Hardcore Holly will have less than a jolly Christmas after he gives him a yuletide beating, for tonight he will deck the halls with "the goofballs of Holly."

Chris Jericho retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Hardcore Holly by disqualification after Crash Holly hits Jericho with the belt. After the match, Chyna runs in and tosses Crash out of the ring, then Jericho does the same thing to Hardcore Holly.

Triple H, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn are not happy with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley's recent actions, but Triple H reminds Road Dogg and Billy Gunn that marriage is marriage, and that this is business. He says he will think of something.

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley tells Kane she can help him, but first he has to help her. He can give him a match against X-Pac or any member of D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) he wants in any match he wants, but she has to help him make it to Monday night as D-Generation X will want to go after her. Kane agrees to protect Stephanie from DX.

Test is cautious of what WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and is not buying anything she is saying. Stephanie says he'll "buy it" when D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) does not interfere in his match tonight.

The debuting Jonathan Coachman interviews The Rock. As he looks back on this previous millennium and all the historic events that took part in it - including himself raising The People's Eyebrow and declaring himself The People's Champion - he also looks back on one of the worst days in it: Al Snow being born. He says it took three men for Al Snow to beat him on Raw, but this is SmackDown, which is his show. He will do to Snow exactly what he does inside of a 15-foot-tall steel cage, and that is lay the smack down on his candy ass and deliver The People's Elbow.

Test beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James after using his protective facemask as a weapon. During the match, Triple H and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn are seen watching on a monitor from backstage, telling Billy Gunn to wait until committing to a course of action, as Road Dogg can handle himself. After the match, Triple H and Billy Gunn are livid as Test grabs a steel chair and chases Road Dogg out of the ring wth it. Referee Tim White takes it away from him, but that doesn't stop Test from chasing Road Dogg to the back. Three more referees hold Test back. Afterwards, Triple H and Billy Gunn decide to confronts WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley.

D-Generation X (Triple H, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) meet with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Kane is about to get physical, but Stephanie puts Kane in a match with Billy Gunn and tells him to hold up his end of the bargain. Triple H tells Stephanie he has made mistakes and pushed the boys too hard, but that is what happens when you have power, and he does not want to be put in a cage. Stephanie tells him this is nothing personal, and that their marriage is great, but this is business and he will have to deal with it. Stephanie McMahon there may be nothing she can do about seven beating him up, but the police can make sure that he commits to being put in a cage as well as stay in his locker room until the match happens. The cops carry Triple H out of the room.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says he loves coming down to the great state of Texas for its intensity and integrity. Unfortunately, the people in Texas are not the smartest in the world, though that does not necessarily mean that the people in Dallas, Texas are stupid. He says if they work hard enough, Texas could be known for its intelligence.

Kurt Angle beats Edge. During the match, Angle drop kicks Edge into referee Teddy Long after Edge nearly spears Teddy. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up and tries to hit Angle with a Kendo stick, but nails Edge in the head with it instead.

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley confronts "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, telling him to stay out of Kurt Angle's business.

Al Snow complains to WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley about having to face The Rock again while Mankind faces Big Show for the WWF Championship. Stephanie tells him he will get his WWF Championship shot shot next Monday on Raw if he beats The Rock tonight. AL Snow says he will destroy The Rock, and then do the same to Mankind later.

The Rock beats Al Snow in a Steel Cage Match.

Ivory complains to Luna Vachon, Debra and Jacqueline about having to wrestle in a mud ring. She says they have to do something now if they want to lace up their boots and wrestle in a real wrestling ring.

Ivory heads to the ring. She wonders why she has to talk about breasts every time she shows up. She is now taking things personal, as the Evening Gown Match with The Kat is a bit too much. He says this is a sports entertainment show, not adult entertainment, and she has worked too hard to establish a real women's division. She crowns herself "the class and dignity champion," and says all The Kat is foing to the Women's title is "wiping her smut all over it." She calls herself the "Women's Wrestling Champion," then calls out The Kat to any kind of anything goes match she wants with any stipulation she wants, as long as it is in the ring. The Kat shows up with Chyna, and tries to drag Chyna into the ring only to be told . The Kat asks Ivory that if she wants an anything goes match in the ring, then proposes no disqualifications and no-counts. Ivory accepts the challenge. A referee enters the ring, and the match starts.

The Kat retains the WWF Women's Championship against Ivory. At the start of the match, The Kat leaves the ring, and Chyna takes her place in the match. The Kat pins Ivory after Chyna makes short work of Ivory.

The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) meet with Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Funaki), who have a match with Christian and Jeff Hardy later on tonight, and give them some pointers on how to beat them.

Christian and Jeff Hardy beat Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Funaki). The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) confront Kaientain after the match, but Kaientai drop kick the Posse as soon as they turn their backs, then run back to the back with the Posse chasing after them.

Jim Ross is talking to Mankind backstage. He tells Mankind that he has a gut feeling that Mankind should be careful about what WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is trying to sell him. Mankind says he is being careful of Stephanie, but he is also focused on winning the WWF Championship. Nevertheless, he thanks Jim Ross for the advice.

Triple H and "Road Dogg" Jesse James talk last-second strategy with Billy Gunn in Triple H's locker room before Billy's match with Kane.

Kane beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. During the match, Triple H and "Road Dogg" Jesse James are seen watching the match on a television in Triple H's locker room. After the match, Kane continues to beat up Billy Gunn, and nearly hits him with a Tombstone Piledriver, but Billy Gunn escapes it and pushes Kane into the ring post before escaping through the crowd. As Billy Gunn and Kane fight in the crowd, Triple H and Road Dogg try to help Billy Gunn, but the police escort outside of Triple H's dressing room keeps Triple H from accompanying Road Dogg. Road Dogg suddenly runs into Kane, and when Kane grabs him, he tells Kane that X-Pac is at the airport.

"Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry is accompanied by Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah to the ring. Mark Henry then pulls out a poem, which he then reads to Mae Young. "We've played once or twice, which is truly nice. I'm so happy to have you in my life. All the hot nighs that we've spent since our first date makes me so proud to be in my home state." Mae Young huts Mark Henry, then The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up. Buh Buh Ray bets Mark Henry to shut his mouth before calling him "a big idiot," and says he thinks he is going to throw up all over himself. He calls Mark Henry "a big dumb, Olympic failure" and a disgrace to Texas. He also calls Mae Young old and wrinkly, and smelling like a bedpan in an old folks' home. He then says he has never seen so many white trash, inbred, tobacco chewing, pick-up truck driving losers in his life, and goes on to say their football team sucks. Mark Henry punches Buh Buh Ray, and the next match begins.

Triple H is placed in the personal cage by the police before the next match, and the invitees - Edge, Christian, Jeff Hardy and Test - show up. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley guests on commentary.

Mankind vs. Big Show for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest, and Big Show retains the WWF Championship. During the match, the cage with Triple H lowers. Jeff Hardy, Edge, Christian and Test approach the ring, but they are attacked by more members of the locker room. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley tries to keep Triple H from unlocking the cage and getting out, but this is unsuccessful and Triple uses Stephanie as a human shield, and she gets kicked by Mankind. Triple H grabs the chain around the cage door to wrap around his fist, then punches out referee Tim White before hitting Mankind with it. The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up and attack Mankind, then Triple H and Stephanie kiss, revealing that Stephanie and Triple H was playing a charade the whole night. Triple H and Stephanie wish everyone a merry Christmas to close out the show.

Backstage, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley think the WWF locker room have no holiday spirit, and that they will have to give them. As they talk, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) stand behind them in tuxedos. Triple H says the McMahon-Helmsley coalition will give until it hurts, and that it will be "a very Raw Christmas show." Rodney is then commanded by Stephanie to get her some water.

Before the next match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James lets Test and the fans know that he and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn are the WWF tag team champions of the world, then Billy Gunn tries to attack Test from behind. Test sees it coming and hits him with a right hand, starting the next match.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Test in a 2-on-1 handicap match after removing Test's face cover and hitting him with a Fameasser. During the match, Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) are seen watching the match on a monitor backstage.

Backstage, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are seen laughing and wishing Test a merry Christmas. Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) show up after being brought in by The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs), tired of fighting each other and wanting Triple H and Stephanie to stop the games. Triple H proposes a match between the team of Edge and Matt Hardy and the team of Christian and Jeff Hardy, then wishes them a merry Christmas.

Kurt Angle is seen talking to Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley backstage. Triple H says it is time to step up to the next level and test the 3 I's by facing Viscera. After Triple H asks Kurt Angle if he has any more ostrich jerky left, Stephanie asks "Why Viscera?" Triple H and The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) mock Stephanie calling Kurt Angle cute last week before Triple H tells the Posse to shut up.

Christian and Jeff Hardy beat Edge and Matt Hardy. Matt is helped up, apparently suffering a broken nose.

Backstage, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley make fun of both teams in the last match, then The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) bring in Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. Stephanie thanks them for being a part of their family for generation. Triple H teases giving Mae Young a bottle of wine, but gives Mae and Moolah a better gift: a Triple Threat Match against the teams of The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) and The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Moolah calls Stephanie a disgrace to the McMahon family before she and Mae leave. Triple H calls them a disgradce to Depends undergarments, then makes fun of Jim Ross' voice when he says the match will be a slobberknocker. This gives Stephanie the idea of giving a gift to Jim Ross, much to J.R.'s displeasure on commentary.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and The Rock are listed as part of the top 10 entertainers of the year in the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley show up. Stephanie asks Jim Ross to come to the ring. He does, thinking they are going to fire him. Stephanie says she and Triple H are the greatest entertainers of 1999, not The Rock and WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, and Triple H says Entertainment Weekly missed the boat by a few weeks. He then says the place looks a little festive, but seems to be lacking in drection. He demands that Kevin Dunn (one of the producers) "put it up now." The two screens to the sides of the TitanTron are replaced with images of Stephanie on the left screen and Triple H on the right screen. He says that this is the type of picture that a magazine like Entertainment Weekly should grace their magazines with. Triple H then confronts Jim Ross on his comments about Stephanie and getting slapped in the face for it. Stephanie says she is not bothered by it anymore and she has forgiven him, saying she knows he didn't mean to insult her or hurt her feelings, then said it felt good to slap him that way. Triple H then gets on his knees behind Jim Ross, then Stephanie pushes Jim Ross over him. Triple H is about to break Jim Ross' arm again when Mankind shows up. Mankind quotes Popeye, saying "I've have all I can stands, and I can't stands no more!" He stood backstage and watched Triple H on Mae Young, The Fabulous Moolah and Jim Ross, and dares him to pick on someone his own size. He has stood silent until now, and tonight, he tells Triple H to his face that the McMahon-Helmsley era "kinda sucks." As for Stephanie, if she has the gall to defame the good name of Santa Claus with the Santa hat she is wearing, then he knows Santa goes around saying "ho, ho, ho," then says he is not exactly the ho he had in mind. Triple H wants to go at it with Mankind, who asks if Stephanie is really holding him back and Stephanie whispers something in Triple H's ear. Triple H says Stephanie has given him an idea, and says that if Mankind wants to stick his nose in business it does not belong in, then tonight, if he wants a fight, he will be in a Boiler Room Match. Mankind anticipates that it is with Triple H, but Triple H refuses to tell him who his opponent is, saying it may or may not be against him, but that Mankind will get his ass kicked one way or another. Stephanie wishes Mankind a meryr Christmas, then slaps Mankind in the face.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle wishes the crowd a merry Christmas, and as the holiday season is fast approaching, he has an incredible idea for a New Year's resolution. He has had success his entire life - including in the WWF - because he follows the 3 I's - intensity, integrity and intelligence - and says that if everyone follows them, they can accomplish anything they want to and have the happiest new year imaginable and possible. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is then seen being upset with Triple H for booking the next match, telling him he did not have to do this./

Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) warn Mar Young and The Fabulous Moolah that the Dudley Commandments - thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill, and thou shalt not mess with the Dudley Boyz 0 still apply to "two old bags" such as them, then attack them before they finish mentioning the Dudley Commandments. "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry is seen cheering Mae and Moolah on backstage as The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) show up.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and the team of Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah. During the match, The Acolytes show more class by refusing to beat on Mae and Moolah while The Dudley Boyz lay waste to them. After the match, a brawl breaks out between all three teams, and "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry runs in to go after the Dudleys. He then checks on Mae Young after the match.

Triple H hands WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley a gift, which Triple H says will reveal Mankind's opponent in the Boiler Room Brawl. Inside is a Santa Claus figurine.

Michael Cole interviews Mankind, who is not happy about having to fight Santa Claus and wonders what he has to prove what a tough guy he is against Santa. He asks if he has to slap him in his rosy cheeks, kick him in his dimples or put a big boot to his red nose. He considers giving Santa a knee to his round belly and watch it shake like a bowl of jelly. As Mankind wonders whether or not he should take tyhe match, Rodney then meets up with him, then Pete Gas and Joey Abs attack him and toss him into the boiler room. Mankind then meets Santa, and proposes that he turns his back so that Santa can leave the boiler room peacefully and win the match. He then gets attacked by three Santa Clauses with more malevolent intentions, but fights them off with frying pans. He then runs into two more, who also want to fight him, and these two Santas turn out to be The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Mankind fight them off , and is about to take a glass window pane to Billy Gunn when a sixth Santa smashes the glass into Mankind's face. The sixth Santa is Triple H, who leaves the boiler room and beats Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl.

Backstage, Triple H, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are wathing what just happened to Mankind when Al Snow shows up and demands a match with The Rock, wanting a Brahma Bullrope match to make The Rock pay for sticking his nose between him and Mankind. Triple H tells him never to come into their office and demand anything again, then gives him the match.

WAR ZONE

Chris Jericho beats The Godfather. During the match, Chyna shows up at ringside. When the hos get on the apron, Chyna gets on the apron and hits The Godfather with a low blow, allowing Jericho to get the win.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk with B.B. and Terri Runnels. B.B. will be with Val Venis, while Terri will be with Hardcore Holly as part as a Holiday Topless Top Rope Match, in which both women have to remove an article of clothing every time their man is thrown over the top rope. This keeps going until one woman is topless, which makes their man the loser. As an incentive, the winner gets a shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Before the next match, Val Venis says women are a lot like Christmas trees: they smell good, they're pretty to look at, but they never really feel special until he plugs them in and lights them up. After Hardcore Holly and Crash Holly show up, Triple H arrives and welcomes everyone to the first-ever Holiday Topless Top Rope Match.

Hardcore Holly beats Val Venis in a Holiday Topless Top Rope Match. During the match, both men go over the top rope, and both B.B. and Terri Runnels are forced by Triple H to take off their dresses or else they will be fired. Val Venis is then thrown over the top rope, and B.B. is told to remove her bra or else she will be fired. She take it off, but Triple H gets right in front of her and blocks the view for everybody. Triple H then calls everyone a bunch of idiots, saying he is the only one to get the show.

Before the next match, The Rock tells Al Snow has left him with two choices. The first is that he bow out and walk up the ramp so that Al Snow wins, and the second choice is stepping down from the ropes, stepping into the ring, and whipping his monkey ass all over Houston, Texas.

Al Snow beats The Rock in a Brahma Bullrope Match. During the match, referee Tim White gets crotched with the bullrope, then The Rock hits Tim White with the cowbell when he tries to hit Al Snow with it. Snow then grabs a steel chair outside of the ring, then swings it at him only for The Rock to duck i t and hit Snow with The Rock Bottom. After that, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James' and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up, and The Rock fights them off. When The Rock goes for a People's Elbow, however, Road Dogg hits The Rock in the back of the head with a steel chair. Al Snow goes for a pinfall, but The Rock kicks out just before three. Road Dogg runs into the ring and falls victim to a Rock Bottom, but Billy Gunn hits the Fameasser on The Rock, and this time The Rock does not kick out.

Backstage, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are seeing what is happening on a television set when they knock water into Triple H's blue jeans and onto one of WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley's shoes. Instead of going ballistic, Triple H gets them out of the room by giving them a 3-on-2 hanidcpa match against two members of Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu), and threatens to give them handicap matches against The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) every day for a year if they ever spill water on him again.

Tori begs for Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to stop messing with her and Kane. Triple H mends the fence by puttin Kane in a match against Big Show for the WWF Championship, and if Kane loses, then Tori has to spend the holidays with X-Pac.

Before the next match, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) find out that their 3-on-2 handicap match against Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) is a six-man tag match. The Posse are livid.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley laugh about the previous match, saying that will teach The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) not to make the mistake of spilling water on them, then says the next match will be loaded with mistakes.

Kane beats Big Show by disqualification after Big Show hits Kane with a steel chair...almost. Triple H tells referee Mike Chioda to restart the match, as it is no-disqualification, and asks that the match be continued. Both men then wrestle to a count-out at ringside, but WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley says there are no count-outs, and Triple H then makes the match Falls Count Anywhere as Kane and Big Show fight in the crowd. Shortly after this, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up and distract Kane long enough for Big Show to powerbomb Kane through a commentary table and retain the WWF Championship against Kane. After the match, The New Age Outlaws carry Tori to the stage, then Triple H says this has been a lot of fun for him and Stephanie, and wishes the world a very Raw Christmas.

In footage from earlier today, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon announce that WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon are not here tonight. Triple H says there was concern over last Monday night, but he and Stephanie had to assert themselves. From now on, things will be handled a little bit differently and more fairly. Some people have felt that they have been held down in the past; those people will be given a chance to shine. There are others who have had everything handed to them on a silver platter; tonight, that platter gets taken away. From top to bottom, everybody will be treated fairly. Tonight, Mankind will face Al Snow one-on-one following their problems. Also, The Rock will face Big Show for the WWF Championship. Triple H announces that tonight marks the dawn of a new era: the McMahon-Helmsley Era.

Before the next match, The Big Boss Man says that if people think what he did to Al Snow was bad and what he did to Big Show was cruel, then they should just wait until he deals with everyone else in the World Wrestling Federation. Suddenly, Chris Jericho shows up and tells Boss Man he must be sure his mother once told him not to say anything at all if he can't say anything nice. He then tells Boss Man that if he cannot say something entertainment, then he should shut the hell up, as while he is boring all the Jerichoholics, he is standing in the back waiting to show off his new and improved "Inter-Chris-tinental" belt. Since Boss Man is in the ring with Prince Albert, he might as well destroy them both Ayatollah-style. Shortly after the match starts, however, Chyna and Miss Kitty show up to watch the match from ringside. We then see Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon wining and dining backstage while watching the show, and we find out that neither of them booked the current match.

Chris Jericho beats Big Boss Man and Prince Albert in a 2-on-1 handicap match. During the match, Big Boss Man tosses his nightstick to Prince Albert, then Chyna gets in the ring and hits Albert with a low blow. Jericho hits Albert with the nightstick, then hits the Lionsault to get the win. After the match, Triple H says that he can never get into what women are into. When WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon asks what that means, Triple H says it's just an expression, Stephanie decides to head to ringside to check somebody out. That somebody ends up being Kurt Angle (whom Triple H calls "an ostrich jerky salesman," a reference to Angle being a spokesperson for Ostrim, a beef jerky product made out of ostrich meat), who is facing Test. When Triple H hears Test's name, Triple H tries to stop her.

Triple H tells WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon that she is not going anywhere, and that is final. He does not trust Test for a second and he does not know what is capable of. Stephanie says she knows Test, but Triple H says she knows Test too well, and they are going to drink champagne and have a good time. Stephanie says she's going anyway, and Triple H can go drink by himself.

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon guests on commentary for the next match. She now prefers to go by the name Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley at this point.

Kurt Angle beats Test by disqualification. During the match, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley calls for the bell and has Test disqualified for using a closed fist on Kurt Angle. After the match, Test confronts Stephanie McMahon, and Stephanie gets Test to follow her up the ramp. Suddenly, the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attack Test from behind, then Triple H shows up and punches Test in the face.

We see footage from during the commercial break where medical staff tends to Test. We then see Test on a stretcher, and when WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley confronts Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco for helping tend to Test, not only does Test get angry, but Brisco and Patterson are put in a match against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). If they do not take part in the match, they will be fired.

Matt Hardy beats Jeff Hardy in a match where the two brothers are forced to wrestle each other after Jeff Hardy lands wrong on his left leg. Both brother show respect after the match.

Backstage, Tori confronts Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley over what happened on Raw, and demands that she and Kane not be humiliated ever again. Stephanie decides Tori will suffer more humiliation by facing her in the ring tonight.

Backstage, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) show up, apologize, and wish WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley luck in her match tonight. They ask Stephanie to let them know if she needs anything, and Stephanie says there is something they can do.

Before the next match, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley says she has made the match to humiliate her in front of Kane. We then see Kane being attacked backstage by The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs). Triple H and Stephanie mock what is going on. Tori is about to go to the back when Stephanie introduces Tori's real opponent for tonight: X-Pac.

X-Pac beats Tori after WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley distracts the refere and Triple H holds on to Tori's hair to allow X-Pac to hit the Bronco Buster prior to the X-Factor.

We see footage from during the break where Kane comes down to ringside to help Tori to the back. Backstage, Kane takes Tori out of the building. The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are chewed out by Triple H for letting Kane leave in one piece, and rewards them for their efforts with a rematch against The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw).

Al Snow is seen talking to the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), saying that he will have Mankind near their dressing room door in a few minutes.

Mankind beats Al Snow in a Falls Count Anywhere match. During the match, the match goes backstage to D-Generation X's (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), but when both men go into the room, Al Snow is the one who ends up getting beaten up. After the match, it is revealed that The Rock was behind the door and that it was really The Rock's dressing room all along.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco talk backstage. Patterson is concerned about getting hurt, but Brisco wants a title belt around his waist.

The orange lights and logo show up before the next match.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) join Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley just before Triple H and Stephanie walk out for some fresh air.

Edge beats Christian with a roll-up. It appears that Christian's shoulders were down the entire time. Christian confronts him at first, but then raises his hand in a sign of respect.

The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are caught by Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley trying to leave the arena, and are told to face The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) or get fired.

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) quickly beat The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) in an Acolyte Rules Match.

Lilian Garcia interviews Jim Ross backstage. Jim Ross says he has seen nothing like the McMahon-Helmsley era, and that Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley's actions are reprehensible, and he is sad and embarrassed for the fans and the McMahon family. When asked for one word to describe Stephanie's actions, he says "it rhymes with witch, ans starts with a B."

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley confront Jim Ross for his very recent choice of words, and threatens to wreck him again. When Stephanie asks Jim Ross what he called her and he refuses to say it, Stephanie slaps him.

Jerry "The King" Lawler advertises the 12-inch WWF Wired.com "Stone Cold" Steve Austin action figure, which allows the user a to download a Stone Cold promo off the Internet and download it into the action figure, which Austin will then utter at the touch of a button.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) and Viscera after Viscera gives up and heads to the back.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) plan to beat Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson within an inch of their lives. We also find out that their match is no-disqualification, and according to the Outlaws, Brisco and Patterson do not have a clue.

Terri Runnels talsks to Santa about one of the naughty things she did this year.

Before the next match, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) joke about having Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson's families sign a waiver in case they both die of a heart attack. To their surprise, Brisco throws powder into Billy Gunn's eyes, then he and Patterson pull out weapons.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson in a no-disqualification match.

Before the next match, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley show up. Triple H announces that tonight's main event is a lumberjack match. Triple H and Stephanie then watch the match from an armchair as lumberjacks come out from the back and fill ringside.

The Rock vs. Big Show for the WWF Championship in a Lumberjack Match ends in a no-contest after the lumberjacks attack both men. Mankind shows up with a shopping cart full of weapons, and The Rock, Big Show and Mankind clean house against the lumberjacks. The show ends with The Rock hitting Viscera with the Rock Bottom and The People's Elbow.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho says Armageddon will be the end of Chyna's "pathetic" wrestling career. He says Chyna can do nothing about it, and that "thumb's the word." Since he needed a warm-up match and he is beating up a long-haired, tattooed effeminate loser of a wrestler, he needs a long-haired, tattooed effeminate loser of a wrestler and Road Dogg fits the bill. He says that Road Dogg will be destroyed "Ayatollah style," then Chyna shows up and guests on commentary for the next match.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James beats Chris Jericho. During the match, it is announced that D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) cannot interfere in any matches tonight, or else they will be suspended. Later, Jericho wins the match by pinfall, but Road Dogg has his leg on the rope. Referee Tim White restarts the match after Chyna tells him what has happened, and this time "Road Dogg" Jesse James win after Jericho puts his foot on the rope only for Chyna to push it off at the last second. After the match, Jericho loses his cool.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and WWF Chairman agree that the contract for Vince's match with Triple H will be signed tonight. Test shows up at the office, and asks if he and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon can talk alone. Vince, Shane and WWF co-owner Linda McMahon leave the room.

Test asks WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon to call the engagement off for now. Stephanie hands the engagement ring back, and apologizes for how everything worked out, saying she never meant for it to be this way. Test says he still cares about her, and always will. THey are about to kiss one last time when X-Pac busts in. Test tells him this is private, and X-Pac dares him to come get him some.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle tells the crowd that if they follow his "3 I's" - intensity, integrity and intelligence - they can accomplish anything you want and that even Boston, Massachusetts can win a World Series. He then introduces "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. Boston Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra is then seen in the crowd.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat Kurt Angle and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman after Blackman tags himself in only to be pushed into Angle and get hit with a Dudley Death Drop. After the match, ANgle says that was Blackman's loss, not his, and he is still undefeated in the World Wrestling Federation. He then slams Blackman into the mat.

Kevin Kelly says he will have the opportunity to interview Miss Kitty, who is in a "stunning" evening gown.

Before the next match, the lights go dark, then glow orange as the strange logo appears on the TitanTron again.

Christian beats The British Bulldog by disqualification after The Mean Street Pose (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) run in and attack Christian. After the match, Val Venis and D'Lo Brown show up and fight the Posse as referees and officials try to restore order.

Kevin Kelly interviews Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty has been training hard, and says it is serious business. Kevin does not take her seriously, and tells her to wear underwear this Sunday. Miss Kitty responds by knocking him to the ground and tearing his clothes off.

It is announced that Big Show is at home with his mother following the events of last Monday's Raw.

Before the next match, The Big Boss Man says the question on everybody's mind is who Big Show's daddy is.

Prince Albert and The Big Boss Man vs. The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) ends in a no-contest. During the match, it is announced that Big Show has suddenly pulled up to the arena. Big Show is then seen backstage heading towards the ring. He eventaully gets in and attacks Prince Albert before throwing Boss Man with a mighty Biel toss. Prince Albert has to hit Big Show with a low blow to help Boss Man escape to the back with him into a van parked backstage. Big Show after them with a metal pipe, but the van speeds off. Big Show says that The Big Boss Man is his at Armageddon.

Mankind beats Al Snow by disqualification. During the match, Al Snow brings in a steel chair, but referee Mike Chioda stops him from using it. Mankind almost considers using it against Snow, but he ultimately decides against it. Al Snow then kicks Mankind in the groin from the mat, then hits Mankind with the steel chair to end the match before hitting a DDT on the chair.

Backstage, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells WWF Chairman Vince McMahon that he cannot make the same mistake Test made, and tells him he must be ruthless at Armageddon. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco then show up and tell Vince and company that it is time for the contract signing.

Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and WWF co-owners Linda, Shane and Stephanie McMahon all show up. Vince says that at Armageddon, it will be no-holds-barred between him and Triple H. Not only will the match give him great pleasure, so will the marriage annulment provision where Triple H will no longer be part of his family if he loses, which he compares to cutting cancer oufo his own body. He then asks Triple H to show up, and Triple H shows up with the contract on a clipboard. He tells Vince to understand the significance of signing these papers, as when they are signed, they guarantee a lot of things, such as guaranteeing him the WWF Championship, as all he needs is one shot to make it as good as his. They also guarantee him the opportunity to beat Vince's ass worse than it has ever been beaten before. He tells Vince that once he signs the contract, he faces him in a no holds barred match, one of the most dangerous matches in the world. Triple H says he can do anything he pleases to Vince is this kind of match,and then says the contract also guarantees him a lifetime of wedded bliss with Stephanie. He calls the signing of the contract a momentous occasion, and he can feel it as he stands in front of the McMahon family, one of the most successful families in American business and one that he is proud to be a member of. Triple H says that he is successful in business himself, and he completed one of his most successful business ventures when he married Stephanie, as the stock options are unbelievable. He then asks Vince what his most successful business venture is, and Vince says the most successful he will do is this Sunday, when he dismembers him and sends him back to the bottom where he belongs and he wins Stephanie's freedom. Triple H says Vince understands what this means, and with everything in order, he considers going down to the ring to sign the contract when he remembers the temporary order of protection which keeps Vince from getting within 50 feet of him. Triple H has a better idea: taking the contract from his hand and getting a little smooch to go with it. Shane does it instead, and Triple H hands him the contract. Shane heads back to the ring and hands it to Vince, who notices that Triple H has not signed the contract yet. Triple H says he has learned from the best, and says to never sign last. He asks Vince to sign the contract, and only then will he sign. Vince signs, then Shane hands the contract back to Triple H. Triple H hands the contract back to Shane, then punches him in the face. D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) then shows up and joins in on the assault, and they keep Vince and company from heading back up the ramp as Triple H tosses Shane off the stage and into a table. Vince and company check on Shane, then Triple H tosses the contract back to Vince before telling him and Stephanie "See you Sunday." EMTs then show up and help Shane up.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon is on a stretcher. WWF Chairman Vince McMahon responsible for what has happened, but Shane asks Vince to promise him that he will give Triple H what is coming to him.

The logo and the orange glow shows up before the next match.

X-Pac beats Test with a low blow before the X-Factor.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon tells WWF co-owner Shane McMahon that Triple H will pay tonight, but Shane tells Vince he is paying into Triple H's hands.

Before the next match, The Rock says since he is The People's Champion, there is one big Rock fan who some may know as Nomar Garciaparra, who is seen in the crowd. He also says tonight's opponent is "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, and he tells Gunn to the ring so he can lay the smack down, then he and Nomar Garciaparra will take Billy Gunn to Fenway Park, go into the dugout and select a bat so that Nomar can shine the bat up, take the splinters out and put pine tar on it so that The Rock can turn it sideways and stick it straight up Billy Gunn's candy ass.

The Rock beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. During the match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn whips The Rock into referee Earl Hebner before hitting the Fameasser, but Earl Hebner is still down and Gunn has to drag Hebner towards him for the pinfall only to get a two-count. After that, The Rock whips Billy Gunn into Hebner, knocking him out again. The Rock then goes for The People's Elbow. Hebner is back up, however, and he makes the pinfall that gives The Rock the win.

Backstage, WWF co-owner Linda McMahon asks Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson where WWF Chairman Vince McMahon. They say Vince is taking a walk by himself, and he should be fine. Linda does not feel that way, and she asks them to find Vince.

Before the next match, Triple H gets physical with referee Earl Hebner, and when Hebner hits Triple H with a shoulder block, Triple H responds by attacking Hebner's right leg. When the match against Kane starts, EMTs check on Hebner while another referee in a Vince McMahon mask shows up. It is not long before Triple H punches this referee and knocks him out of the ring, but all of a sudden, another referee in a Vince McMahon mask shows up and officiates the match. Once again, this masked man also gets attacked. After this, a third man in a Vince McMahon mask in referee's garb shows up. Suddenly, all three masked referees back Triple H up the ramp after Triple H gets tossed out of the ring, then a man in a suit - who is also wearing a Vince mask - hits Triple H with a metal pipe. D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up only to get laid out, and referees, officials and even WWF co-owner Linda McMahon have to restore order as the show ends. Triple H vs. Kane ends in a no-contest.
