He then tells Samoa Joe to get it over with and come to the ring, as he wants to hear his apology face to face. Joe shows up, and says he is sorry...because this is an intervention. He says he has known Jeff Hardy for a long time, and says a man in Hardy's fragile condition can be rough at this time of year, as his demons will catch up to him. Hardy says this is reminding him that he is never going back, and that he sees right through him. Hardy tells Joe he attacks weaknesses to hide his insecurities, and mentions that Joe has only won one title in WWE. Joe pretends to back off, then tries to attack Hardy only to eat a Twist of Fate.

The Miz's tag team partner is revealed to be Mandy Rose, and their opponents are revealed to be The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella). R-Truth announces their victory in Mixed Match Challenge and their vacation at WWE Headquarters in Stanford, Connecticut, and that he looks forward to their match against Miz and "Maryse," who is really Mandy Rose.

The Miz and Mandy Rose beat The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella) after a Skull Crushing Finale to R-Truth in the middle of a seven-second dance break.

It is announced that Mustafa Ali has been officially added to the SmackDown Live roster.

We see vignettes for Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic), Nikki Cross and EC3.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up. The Usos say that no matter what, one thing stays the same: they run SmackDown Live. They may not have won the tag team titles, they still have gold on their mind and call out The Bar. Instead, they get Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). Anderson says it's The Bar, The New Day and The Usos week after week, and while they are great teams with great matches, they haven't been on television since August. Gallows says they have been on the sidelines for four months, but no more. He says it is time to clean slates and clean the house. The Usos say they are not the reason why they aren't on TV, then tell them to step up or get stepped on, as they move for no one. Gallows and Anderson get in the ring, and a referee stands between both teams. It is then announced that, as per the McMahon family, there will be a match between the two teams right now.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs. Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) ends with The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) showing up only for SAnitY (Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain) to also show up for the first time in months and attack both teams in the match. Afterwards, The Bar rush into the ring and pick the bones.

We hear from Shinsuke Nakamura, who says that Rusev is a "Total Diva," not a United States title contender or a SmackDown Live star, and that he shouldn't be afraid of him.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) advertise The New Day's WWE 2018 Pancake Powered New Year Spectacular tomorrow night at 10 PM Eastern, 9 PM Central.

Before the next match, "The New" Daniel Bryan says he killed the Yes! Movement and destroyed the house that "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles built, but unlike the fans, he is not about destruction; he is about creation of something better. He says that on SmackDown Live, he is creating a brave new world that he knows the people will not like because they fear change. He calls the people out on their "vacuous consumption," and says the people of Fresno, California are the guiltiest of all. He says the people are proud of themselves, then says Fresno ranks #1 in pollution in the state of California (which the fans nevertheless cheer to upon hearing). He then says "Shame!" repeatedly to the fans. He then states that Sir Isaac Asimov once said that self-education is the only education there is, then says the people would not know wisdom if it were pumped with GMOs and handed to them through a drive-thru window. Daniel Bryan then tells the people of Fresno not to try self-education, as they will fail and they have failed already, then tells them they have someone to show them the way and how to live: "The New" Daniel Bryan.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali beat "The New" Daniel Bryan and Andrade "Cien" Almas.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 18, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Angle talks about last week's main event, and says it did not have a decisive winner. Brock Lesnar is here tonight, and by the end of the night, Angle will determine who he will face. Before he can say much more, Braun Strowman shows up. Strowman tells Angle he earned the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar, as he was the only one standing. Kane shows up, and says he has caused more destruction than anyone else in WWE for over 20 years. He says there is no way anyone is stepping in front of him, and while Lesnar's list of victims is impressive, it does not include him. He says he will get his chance at Royal Rumble unless Strowman is man enough to stop him. Angle has to stand between them, but all of a sudden, Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman states this discussion will not happen without Brock Lesnar present, and he introduces his client, who shows up. Kurt Angle wastes no time making the match a Triple Threat Match before getting out of the ring. Kane, Strowman and Lesnar then go at it all at once. Lesnar sends Strowman out of the ring, then manages to hit Kane with an F5. Lesnar sends Strowman out of the ring, then manages to hit Kane with an F5. Lesnar makes his way back to the stage, and Kane gets up from the F5. Heyman and Lesnar do not know what to make of this.

Before the next match, Jason Jordan says he understands that he is not the guy Seth Rollins wants to see. He knows he wants Samoa Joe, but he wants him, too, and has wanted a match with him for the last two weeks. He is now done asking, and while he has nothing but respect for Seth, if he has a bone to pick with Samoa Joe, he will have to pick the bones when he is done. Seth says he respects Jordan and what he is trying to do, but before he can say much else, Samoa Joe shows up. Joe says they are making him feel like the belle of the ball and that all the boys want to dance with him. He has a solution to both of them wanting to get their hands on him: both men have a match, and the winner gets put to sleep by him. Rollins says the match is made, and he tells Joe to come on down here so he can beat him up while Jordan "looks for his daddy's approval somewhere else." Jordan responds by shoving him to the mat. This starts the match Joe has proposed. Samoa Joe sits at ringside as the match is made official.

Seth Rollins beats Jason Jordan. During the match, Samoa Joe gets out of his chair when he sees Seth Rollins looking at him, and Rollins responds by tossing Jason Jordan's head into his gut before superkicking Joe in the face. After the match, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe brawl, and Joe has his hands up to protect himself. When the ref pushes Seth away from Joe, Joe makes his move and punches him until referees rush in to restore order. As Joe leaves, he hits Jason Jordan with a cheap shot.

Seth Rollins tells General Manager Kurt Angle he wants Samoa Joe tonight, as does Dean Ambrose. Jason Jordan shows up wanting a piece of Joe. Kurt puts them in a six-man tag match against Sheamus, Cesaro and Joe for later tonight.

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He wants to know what draws people to Matt Hardy, whether it be the words he says, his childish laugh, or the faces he makes. He says it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that is where he comes in. He wants to make sure the right people get hurt, and those people are Matt Hardy and his fans. If he wants to continue with their chess match, he will play, but he does not play well at all. He claims to be able to see through Matt, and says The Great War must end.

Finn Balor beats The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) by disqualification when Bo Dallas pulls Finn Balor off the top rope and he and Axel assault Finn Balor. As Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel continue to attack Finn Balor, the attack is suddenly interrupted by Hideo Itami, who has not been seen since his feud with Kassius Ohno in NXT. He runs to the ring and fights off both Bo and Axel.

Finn Balor and Hideo Itami beat The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) in an impromptu tag match.

Renee Young interviews Cedric Alexander. Cedric says he wants to be Cruiserweight Champion so badly he can taste it. He wants to beat Enzo and represent 205 Live, but he can't do all that in one night. He has a second chance, and he will take advantage of it. The only way he will be overlooking Drew Gulak is when he stands over him after he beats him, looking forward to his match with Enzo.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore hypes up the match between Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander, saying it will be better than the new Star Wars movie before handing his microphone to Gulak. Gulak considers himself a Jar Jar Binks, and says "Now that's a hero!" He says tonight is the biggest match of his life, and he owes it all to Enzo. As a token of appreciation, he introduces the "Enzo Amore Tribute Edition" of his Powerpoint presentation. Cedric Alexander's entrance puts a stop to that, however. Enzo Amore then guests on commentary for the next match.

Cedric Alexander beats Drew Gualk to become #1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship after Enzo Amore checks on his phone and heads to the back, which distracts Gulak.

Backstage, Enzo Amore runs into Nia Jax. Enzo says he got her Twitter DM. Nia wants to finish their conversation from last week. Before it can go anywhere, a bloodied Drew Gulak says he has lost and let The 'Zo Train. Nia says she'll see Enzo later. Drew Gulak says he does not know what went wrong. Enzo says he did a lot of things wrong and walks away.

Asuka beats Alicia Fox with an arm bar.

We see a sneak peak of the next episode of Total Divas featuring The Miz and Maryse.

We look back on the WWE debut of Chris Jericho from August 1999, courtesy of Snickers.

Samoa Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro beat The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) and Jason Jordan after Dean Ambrose is hurt at ringside following a suicide dive from Rollins and Sheamus hits Rollins with a Brogue Kick behind the referee's back.

A silver limousine pulls up, and out of the back door comes Commissioner Stephanie McMahon.

Matt Hardy is seen playing chess. We find out his opponent is a goldfish in a bowl. The fish's name is Napoleon. Matt Hardy bids him adieu, as he has business to attend to. He talks about The Great War, and says one wrong move can lead to annihilation. He says he and Bray Wyatt have fought since the beginning of time, but his light will win out over Bray's darkness. Now that the new battlefield is set, he will stand side-by-side with his "woken warriors" in The Great War against Bray Wyatt. He says Sister Abigail must be stopped. He then starts a "delete" chant.

As Seth Rollins is tended to by a trainer, Sheamus, Cesaro and Samoa Joe attack Seth Rollins, then Joe viciously slams an open trunk door into the arm of Dean Ambrose.

It is announced that Dean Ambrose has been transported to a local medical facility.

The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) come back after months on the injured list to beat Heath Slater and Rhyno.

Backstage, Heath Slater and Rhyno meet with General Manager Kurt Angle. He tells them to toughen up if they want more opportunities. Heath Slater is afraid they are going to be fired. Rhyno says he has a plan to toughen Heath Slater up. Slater is reluctant.

Hideo Itami debuts on 205 Live tomorrow night! John Cena returns on next week's Christmas edition!

Elias plays guitar and sings for the crowd again. He almost breaks into "Jingle Bell Rock" before asking who wants to walk with him. He says he has crossed paths with Tom Brady, who says his music is the soundtrack to his success...then proceeds to openly mock Tom Brady. Elias talks about how he has taken Roman Reigns to the limit and survived Braun Strowman. He says General Manager Kurt Angle is afraid of what he is, and says he will win the Royal Rumble. Elias then proceeds to play guitar and sing a song about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. All of a sudden, he is interrupted by Sasha Banks. Elias thanks Sasha Banks for joining in, but before he can play and sing again, Mickie James shows up. Elias seems to enjoy the fact that all the women want to walk with him. Before he can play and sing, he is interrupted yet again, this time by Bayley. Elias walks away as Bayley tries to give him a hug.

Bayley, Alicia Fox and Mickie James beat Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville) when Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville mercilessly beat up Sasha Banks. After the match, Mandy and Sonya take the boots to Sasha, then Nia Jax suddenly shows up. Nia Jax starts fighting Absolution off single-handedly. She then puts Sonya and Mandy in a Samoan Drop at the same time. Paige then takes Nia's knee out from under her with a chop block, then Absolution takes the boots to her until the rest of the Raw Women's locker room runs into the ring and attacks them. This brawl then gets interrupted by Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie talks about how the Women's Revolution started three years ago, and how everyone in the ring turned the revolution into an evolution and brought women's wrestling back to the forefront. However, Stephanie says that is not enough, and now they will make history once again. She asks the crowd if they want to see that, and announces that at Royal Rumble, there will be an all-female Royal Rumble match for the first time ever.
