We hear from Darby Allin and Will Ospreay before their Continental Classic match. Darby says it is showtime, while Ospreay says that no one fares better in warfare than as assassin and that it is time to prove he is on another level.
Mercedes Moné retains the TBS Championship against Anna Jay.
We hear from FTR (Dash Wilder and Cash Wheeler). Cash Wheeler says they had no problem with The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Marina Shafir), but he does agree that AEW needs a change. He says they will not let The Death Riders poison someone with a chemical cleaner. Dax Harwood says that they are not medically cleared for the rest of the year, and says that on January 1st, they will fight The Death Riders and they will not be coming alone.
MJF heads to the ring. MJF says he does not care what the fans think of him, and that if he did, he would have signed on with the Washington Wizards instead of AEW. He then says that he is no Scrooge and that the most important holiday - Hannukah - then says Santa is not real and he is not sorry for saying it. This starts a "Santa" crowd, then MJF says Santa never gave the fans coal because their parents were too poor to give them a real gift. MJF then talks about a fundraiser that he has started, then has piano music play as he talks about a small child in need of nourishment before showing a photoshopped skinny Adam Cole. The piano music stops, and MJF says that if anyone wants to help Adam Cole, all they have to do is scan the QR code on the screen to purchase the Worlds End pay-per-view and send a part of the price to a fund made to put Adam Cole out of his misery. Adam Cole shows up on the video screen and says he had a meeting with Tony Khan, and that the Dynamite Diamond Ring will be guarded by Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. He says MJF has nowhere to run and hide and that it will all come to an end at Worlds End. He then asks MJF if he is kicking his ass yet, then MJF turns around only for Adam Cole to kick his ass. Adam Cole goes for a Panama Sunrise, but MJF gets out of the ring before Cole can hit him with it.
Backstage, we hear from Jamie Hayter. She says she sees Julia Hart for what she is - a coward - and says that Julia had to show up when she was beaten to attack her from behind. She then challenges Julia Hart to a match at Fight For The Fallen.
It is announced that Kenny Omega is nearly done with his recovery and will be competing at Wrestle Dynasty, and will be returning to AEW soon.
The Patriarchy (Christian Cage and "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne) beat Hook and "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata following the distraction from Mama Wayne, who allows Christian to go for Shibata's eyes before hitting the Killswitch.
We see "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho taking in the sights of New York City before Final Battle.
We see a video package for Bandido.
Harley Cameron plugs the "12 Days of AEW" sale on Shop AEW.
Backstage, we hear from "The Glamour" Mariah May, who questions why Thunder Rosa became a wrestler, then says a hero is just a dreamer who does not realize they are dreaming. Mariah says she has looked out for herself and it has turned out pretty well, and says that if she were in AEW four years ago, Thunder Rosa would not even have been hired. She hopes to end two generations in one night in their Tijuana Street Fight, then asks if failure runs in the family before mentioning that her father will not be at Worlds End so that he does not see what he does to Thunder Rosa.
Tony Schiavone interviews Ricochet in the ring. Before Ricochet can say much, The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin) shows up. Ricochet mentions his progress in the Continental Classic and teases the idea of him and Shelton facing each other, then mentions his match with Will Ospreay. MVP asks Ricochet to show his business card, and when Ricochet produces it, Lashley grabs Ricochet. MVP tears the business card up and says nobody likes a kiss-ass, and Lashley lets go of Ricochet and straightens him up before telling him to leave the ring. MVP tells Shelton he has business to take care of, and to "hurt somebody." MVP guests on commentary for the next match.
Shelton Benjamin beats The Beast Mortos in the Blue League of the Continental Classic via pinfall and earns three points. Shelton Benjamin now has six points. The Beast Mortos still has zero points and is mathematically eliminated from the tournament. After the match, Bobby Lashley attacks The Beast Mortos, and Shelton joins in. After stating that this is what Daniel Garcia has to deal with to Saturday, Garcia shows up wanting to fight The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin), and Mark Briscoe joins in. MVP breaks his cane on Mark Briscoe's back, and Garcia and Mark are soon overpowered before Shelton Benjamin raises up the TNT Championship above a downed Garcia.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Ricochet. Ricochet is more worried about the Continental Classic than The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin), and that he will be facing Will Ospreay this Saturday. He says he is here to shut the world up and beat Ospreay, then says he has his eyes on the next match. Ricochet then runs into Swerve Strickland Prince Nana, and Swerve says it was only a matter of time before "the real Trevor" showed his real face, and that Ricochet has not changed and is still a follower. Ricochet says he knows "the real Swerve" and that it will eat him up when he wins the Continental Classic, something that Swerve could not do last year.
RJ City interviews Toni Storm, and it becomes obvious that Toni Storm has no memory of being "Timeless."
Darby Allin beats Will Ospreay in the Gold League of the Continental Classic via pinfall following a counter from the Storm Breaker into the Scorpion Death Drop followed by two top rope Coffin Drops. Darby Allin earns three points and is now at six points. Will Ospreay still has six points. After the match, The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Marina Shafir) show up in the crowd for the next match, and Claudio Castagnoli stares down Darby.
The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, Wheeler Yuta) beat Orange Cassidy, "Switchblade" Jay White and "Hangman" Adam Page in a trios match. During the match, Hangman walks out on the match, leaving Orange and Switchblade high and dry. Near the end of the match, Hangman comes back to get his hands on Jon Moxley, but Orange hits Moxley with an Orange Punch before Hangman can hit Moxley with a Buckshot Lariat. After Hangman hits Wheeler Yuta with a Buckshot Lariat and Switchblade hits PAC with Blade Runner, Hangman and Switchblade argue, and that allows Moxley to pin Orange with a schoolkid pin for the win. After the match, Orange, Switchblade and Hangman all argue, and The Death Riders soon surround the ring. Shafir and Moxley flee as the rest of The Death Riders (Wheeler, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC) fall and Hangman wants Moxley to come back to the ring.
