"The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho leaves commentary to enter the ring. Jericho says that he challenged anyone from New York City to face him at Final Battle for the Ring of Honor World Championship only to be interrupted by Matt Cardona, then says nobody touches a man's hat and that "us native New Yorkers do not stand for that." Jericho says Cardona should be lucky that he did not punch his face and knock his teeth down his throat when he "accosted and assaulted" him last night. He says that if Cardona were here right now, he would have no idea what he would do to him. Cardona suddenly shows up, and the crowd chants "Always ready!" before Cardona saying that he is always ready for any opportunity and that Final Battle may be the biggest opportunity of his career. He then tells Jericho that he is not the same kid that he met fifteen years ago, as he has been busting his ass for the past five years to reinvent himself, then says he will prove himself right and beat Jericho for the ROH World Championship. Jericho says that he respects everything Cardona has done and has become a bigger star now than he was in the past fifteen years, but even after all Cardona has accomplished, he is still "just Zack." Jericho slaps Cardona, and Cardona slaps back before going for the ground and pound. "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith rushes in and attacks Cardona, and the numbers game takes over before Bryan Keith holds Cardona down so that Jericho can smack him with the ROH World Championship. Jericho then holds Cardona down so that Bryan Keith can wrap a belt around his fist and punch Cardona in the face.
