It is announced that "Big" Bronson Reed is out indefinitely with a broken foot, Tonga Loa is out indefinitely with broken knee, and Jimmy Uso is out indefinitely with a broken toe.

Backstage, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu) attack Apollo Crews at the security gate, then attack the security guards when they jump in.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cody talks about his match with Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event before American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) shows up. Gable says they are here because the transfer window is about to open and that General Manager Nick Aldis is about to bring him to the blue brand, then says the fans in Minnesota are simple-minded and offers to speak the truth to them and Cody. Gable goes on to call Cody a beacon of what he wanted to be, then says that while it is easy to look the part, it is harder to be a good friend like Kevin Owens. He then calls Otis "a bad friend" who left him high and dry like Cody did to Owens. Gable says that Cody is not only "a terrible friend," but also "the definition of superficial," as he only cares about what everyone thinks about him, and if others have to fall by the wayside, so be it. He then says that he would never team with the one guy who made Owens' life a living hell like Cody did, and tells Cody that he deserve what is coming to him. Cody says he is disappointed that Gable is spewing vitriol at him when he sees a lot of himself in Gable, as he has taken things that were not necessarily special and made them special, then brings up the "Shorty G" gimmick. This leads to a "Shorty G" chant before telling Gable that he is looking at "Stardust," which leads to a "Stardust" chant, then says he knows why Gable has garnered the fans' attention and what he is aiming for, then says Gable has so much to lose when he fails again. Cody says that if he learned anything from WrestleMania 39, he could look nowhere else but himself, and asks what happens when Gable goes for his end game again and does not get it before stating that he will take his anger out on the rest of American Made. Gable says that he is a man who will always take an opportunity and that he would whup Cody's ass if he was not wearing a suit right now. Cody tells him to talk to Nick Aldis and get a match with him tonight, then warns Gable that having Kevin Owens on his mind is no good for him.

Backstage, Naomi and Bianca Belair talk about tonight's Triple Threat Match as well as who took out Jade Cargill. After Naomi leaves, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven show up to annoy Bianca. Bianca says Chelsea is lucky she took herself out of the match, then accuses Piper of attacking Jade. Piper says she did not do it and tells Bianca to watch what she accuses her of, then says she can beat Bianca up right now. Bianca fights both Chelsea and Piper, but gets overpowered.

Jesse "The Body" Ventura is seen in the front row before the next match. It is announced that he will guest on commentary next Saturday at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Backstage, Byron Saxton reports that The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)) have been attacked backstage. General Manager Nick Aldis calls for medical attention, then Johnny Gargano and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) show up and Aldis relays the news to them. Gargano offers to have #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) replace The Street Profits as the Machine Guns' opponents, and while Aldis is reluctant, Alex Shelley says the Machine Guns are more than happy to have that match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Aldis allows it, then tells Gargano to tell Tommaso Ciampa not to make him regret this.

Despite having hurt ribs from the backstage attack by Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, Bianca Belair beats Piper Niven with the K.O.D. on Chelsea Green after Bianca makes Chelsea pay for getting on the ring apron.

We see a video package of Shinsuke Nakamura's return and road to the WWE United States Championship.

Backstage, Bianca Belair meets with Naomi. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio is seen talking with General Manager Nick Aldis before Byron Saxton interviews Bianca Belair and Naomi on who attacked Jade Cargill. Naomi say they have multiple suspects, and Bianca says that when they find out who did it, "it's on sight."

Shinsuke Nakamura heads to the ring. All of a sudden, LA Knight shows up with a microphone in his hand and calls Nakamura "the single sorriest example of a United States Champion." Knight says he is the real deal and that the United States title belongs to him, then demands his rematch right now. Nakamura stays silent, and Knight says Nakamura has only sneak attacked him and hit him with the mist. Knight then puts his sunglasses on and threatens to beat Nakamura up, then Andrade shows up and says he is here for Nakamura, but Knight says Nakamura is in debt. All of a sudden, Andrade and Knight are attacked by Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu. Nakamura stands there and lets the black mist fall from his mouth, and Solo holds Jacob and Tama back as Nakamura leaves the ring. Solo Sikoa's Bloodline (Solo, Tama, Jacob) goes for Andrade, but Knight fights back. Andrade and Knight both end up recipients of a Samoan Spike by Solo, then Solo proclaims that his Bloodline is still powerful and dares anyone to take a shot at him so they can lay them out. Solo says he is tried of people not taking him seriously and thinking he is a joke, then says that he is still Tribal Chief and the head of the table and that he still has the ula fala. He then warns that anyone who steps up to him will end up acknowledging him and his Bloodline.

Backstage, Johnny Gargano tells Tommaso Ciampa that they now have their title match. Ciampa says that Gargano has not answered his question from a few months ago, then says he will find out the answer soon enough.

We hear from Kevin Owens, who mentions that he is here for an interview with Michael Cole. He says it sucks as he does not want to be in Minneapolis, Minnesota, especially for a Michael Cole interview, and if Cole wants to do it, he will have to find him outside due to being kept out of the building.

#DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) beat The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) to become the WWE Tag Team Championshis after the communication breakdown between Gargano and Ciampa ends up being a complete ruse, with Gargano hitting Sabin with a low blow as Ciampa distracts the referee with a metal folding chair.

Backstage, #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) celebrate winning the WWE Tag Team Championships with Candice LeRae.

Michael Cole interviews Kevin Owens inside Owens' car. Owens refuses to believe that Cole's interview will be unbiased, but Cole tells Owens he has known him for twelve years. Owens says he cannot believe Cole does not see things like he sees them, especially when Cody called him an egomaniac despite leaving in 2016 because he was not getting opportunities. He says that he will cross the bridge with Sami Zayn when he comes to it and that The Usos were going to rejoin Roman Reigns anyway. Cole tells Owens that he is being petty and advises him to look in the mirror, as he is the problem. Owens tells Cole to leave his car, which Cole does, then calls him back to the car only to close the window in his face and drive off.

Backstage, Gunther shakes hands with General Manager Nick Aldis, then leaves as Carmelo Hayes shows up. Carmelo says he is considering heading to Raw, and Aldis tells him that he has an opponent in mind for him.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Chad Gable despite his left ankle being hurt during the match. After the match, Kevin Owens is in the ring, and he stomps on Cody's bad ankle.
