Starrs of Tomorrow 2 - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 14, 2024

It is announced that Jonathan Gresham was unable to make the trip to Memphis and that he will not be competing today. Shortly after this, Tim Bosby shows up, and Dustin Starr interviews Bosby at the announce desk. As Bosby wants to know why Gresham is not here, Mike Anthony suddenly shows up. Mike Anthony says he has an idea, as the last time they went face-to-face, Bosby did not see it coming due to holding an open challenge for the Internet Championship. Mike Anthony calls Bosby the greatest Internet Champion of all time before proclaiming that he plans to take the title even higher than Bosby did, and proposes a championship rematch that the fans never got. Bosby, still miffed that Gresham is not here, considers this a very suitable replacement, and accepts the challenge.

We see some backstage footage from today's show.

Big John Dalton last eliminates The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James) to win the Shining Starrs Rumble.

Sevyn Cruz vs. James Curtis ends in a no-contest. During the match, "The Problem" Aaron Roberts shows up and attacks James Curtis after Sevyn choes Curtis towards Roberts and leaves the ring to save his own hide. As Roberts goes for the Problem Bomb, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up with the contract. He gets in the ring, hits Roberts with a GunShow Lariat, puts a pen in Roberts' hand and forces a signature onto the contract. GunShow says he got the job done by hook or by crook and that he will see Roberts at Milestone 200.

Backstage, Derrick King meets with Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex). Too Kool II congratulates Derrick on the retirement, and Derrick tells Too Kool II that their Hustle Hard Match with The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) is the most serious match they will have in their careers, but knows that they can get the job done.

We see the Starrs of Tomorrow training in the WrestleCenter as Matchmaker King Cobra says that stars are not born, but made.

The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James) beat "Main Event" Bradley and Big Nasty Phil after Bradley inadvertently hits Phil with a chain before getting choke slammed.

We hear from Sycho Simon, who says it is Christmas time again and that while people say it is much better to give than to receive. He then tells everyone to lock the doors, because he is coming and not Santa Claus, and he will crush Christmas while crushing people's souls.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Tim Bosby after reversing the ankle lock with a roll-up. Bosby and Anthony shake hands after the match.
