Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for December 5, 2024

Backstage, we hear from Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake). Zack Gibson says disrespect is run rampant, then says that the veterans and the locker room eat first before the extras. They then go after someone in the background and chastise him for eating a cake and taking food off their plates, warning him not to disrespect them again or else they will make him pay.

"The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata beats Alex Reynolds by submission.

JD Drake and Beef beat Waves and Curls (Jaylen Brandyn and Traevon Jordan).

Backstage, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett advertise his new Jay Lethal "Black Machismo" Ringside Collectibles action figure. After the commercial, Jay Lethal talks with Sonjay Dutt, and QT Marshall shows up and meets with Lethal, brags about getting an action figure, then says he is at the top of his game and that it is time that Lethal jump on "the QT Marshall train" by facing him in a match. Lethal says he has his sights set on "a bigger fish" for his return to ROH at Final Battle, then takes the action figure back and leaves with Sonjay.

Trish Adora beats Rachael Ellering.

It's time for TV Time with "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho. The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho and "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) heads to the ring, and Jericho almost calls Indianapolis, Indiana "Minneapolis." He says he has sent Big Bill on a pilgrimage to Nepal to learn the knowledge of the learning tree, then says Bryan Keith is here. Bryan Keith demands that everyone respect Jericho. Jericho then announces that at Final Battle, he wants to give the fans something special and keep himself on his toes, and says that he will face somebody from New York City with a warrior mentality and the attitude of a fighter, calling himself "The King of New York" in the process, and names some potential opponents, including Frank Sinatra, as he does it. Bryan Keith says Jericho could kick Sinatra's ass, and Jericho says he will do it his way. All of a sudden, Matt Cardona shows up, and Jericho shoves one of the cardboard trees in the ring in frustration before confronting Cardona, who takes the microphone away from Jericho as he almost calls him "Zack Ryder." Cardona tells Jericho to learn his name quickly, as he will be the one to wrestle him at Final Battle and become ROH World Champion. He then knocks the cowboy hat off Jericho's head before leaving.

Backstage, we hear from Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno. Reynolds says "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata is every bit of the legend that he is and that there is no shame in losing to him, then John Silver showed up and says that he stole Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake)'s scarves backstage while they were being mean to the extras.

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat Griff Garrsion and Preston Vance.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Rachael Ellering when Harley Cameron shows up to say she was rooting for Rachael before giving her a golden dog trophy for being "top dog." Rachael tries to take it, but it ends up being glued to Harley's hand. Rachael says Harley is growing on her before giving her a group hug, then Harley leaves. Rachael then says Harley may not be that bad after all.

Billie Starkz beats Lady Frost.

We look back on Naomichi Marufuji vs. Nigel McGuinness for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle 2008.

Backstage, we hear from Matt Taven. Taven says he and "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty are playing cat and mouse, but Moriarty has the wrong person to play mind games with. He then admits he has never learned patience, and that he has gotten a match with Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship from the powers that be. He says that next week, he will go from a mind games player to a history maker and become the only person to win all the titles in Ring of Honor.

Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti beats Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) in a six-man tag match.

Here is the recap for tonight's show!
