Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 20, 2017

We see Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras entering the arena in footage from earlier today.

We get a closer look at Sammy Guevara, who decided to become a professional wrestler at 11 years old and wants to become a household name worldwide. He is amazed that Drago is his first round opponent, but says Drago has not seen all of what he can do, and considers this to be an honor. He says it is time to step into the spotlight he deserves, and after that, he is going for the X Division title.

We get a closer look at Drago, who claims to come from another world and whose objective is to destroy his opponent so he can show everyone what Drago is all about. He says Sammy Guevara is a man he wants to get in the ring with, but says Guevara lacks capability and experience. He wants to win the tournament and bring the Super X Cup back to AAA, and he wants everyone to believe in Drago.

Drago beats Sammy Guevara to continue to the semi-finals of the Super X Cup Tournament.

We see footage from Impact Wrestling's trip to Camp Boggy Creek, a camp for special needs children with life-threatening illnesses, from July 5th.

Sienna beats Amber Nova. After the match, Sienna says she did what she said she would do, and put in the work to become a champion. She says there was somebody who didn't believe in her, either: Karen Jarrett. She calls Karen out and demands respect. Karen Jarrett shows up, and Sienna tells her to get on her knees and tell her she is the most dominating Knockouts Champion ever. Karen refuses to back down, and both women jack their jaws at each other. Karen gets out of the ring, and Allie rushes into the ring. Allie attacks Sienna with a kendo stick, but Laurel Van Ness attacks Allie from behind. Rosemary makes the save as Van Ness and and evens the odds. Karen Jarrett grabs Sienna by the hair, and as Sienna grabs her, Gail Kim shows up and cleans house. Karen Jarrett then puts Sienna in a Last Knockout Standing for the Unified Women's Championship against Rosemary next week.

At the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse, Konnan threatens El Hijo del Dos Caras, and tells him to tell Alberto El Patron to join them or else he will find him, wherever he is.

The stars of Swole Mates, Andy Velchich and Freddy "Partyboy" Hardy, are seen in the front row again.

We see a video package giving us a closer look at El Hijo del Fantasma.

Backstage, Bruce Prichard confronts Trevor Lee for claiming to be the X Division Champion, and Trevor Lee says he never got his rematch for the title. Sonjay Dutt confronts Trevor Lee, and is held back by security. Bruce Prichard says he will look into Trevor Lee's claims.

The Laredo Kid, Garza Jr. and Octagoncito beat Idris Abraham, Demus and Trevor Lee. During the match, it is announced that Sonjay Dutt has been banned from the arena for disrupting the show.

Joseph Park gets Grado more confident for his date with Laurel Van Ness...who proves to be quite a handful at a restaurant.

At the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse, Konnan says he has sent Santana and Ortiz out to find Dos Caras in an attempt to force Alberto El Patron to join LAX. Konnan pulls out a pair of pliers, saying Dos Caras should be here soon, implying he will pull his teeth out.

Dos Caras is brought into the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse. Konnan says he does not care what happens to him, and tells him to tell Alberto El Patron to join LAX, as he knows something about his son that even Dos Caras does not know.

Matt Sydal beats Low Ki and El Hijo del Fantasma after Low Ki hits El Hijo del Fantasma with Warrior's Way before breaking the pinfall up with a top rope Shooting Star Press. El Hijo Del Fantasma and Matt Sydal show good sportsmanship after the match. After the match, Sydal says that the X Division is world-class wrestling, and thanks the fans. Matt Sydal tells the fans to "trust yourself and question authority." He then asks Bruce Prichard to come to the ring. Prichard shows up with Tyrus and tells Sydal he likes him, but he is sick and tired of people making demands. Prichard says Sydal is deserving of a title match, but so are others in the back. Suddenly, Lashley shows up. Lashley says there is only one person deserving of a World title shot: himself. He has tackled everyone that Prichard has thrown at him, and tells him to give him a title shot. If one more person gets an opportunity, he will take matters into his own. Lashley hits Sydal with a Spear, and says that's only a start. He tells Prichard to make the World title shot happen.

Grado and Laurel Van Ness' date continues. Grado does what he can to survive the date. Laurel is somehow enjoying herself. Later, we see Joseph Park and Grado meet backstage again. It's official: Laurel Van Ness is Grado's key to citizenship.

Chris Adonis tosses water into the face of Freddy "Partyboy" Hardy. Freddy jumps in the ring and confronts Adonis, and Andy Velcich jumps in shortly afterwards. Adonis gets out of there.

Eli Drake beats Ethan Carter III, Eddie Edwards and Moose after EC3 hits Edwards with the One Percenter only for Eli Drake to pick the bones.

McKenzie interviews the stars of Swole Mates, Andy Velchich and Freddy "Partyboy" Hardy. Suddenly, the Latin-American Xchange interrupts and a camera follows them to the back where they meet Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras. With no answer as to whether Alberto El Patron will join LAX, father and son are jumped. Konnan demands an answer from Alberto El Patron, or else he will do away with his father and brother.

The Latin-American Xchange head to the ring with Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras as hostages. Konnan says he knows Alberto El Patron is in the building and that they are recording his documentary here, and says that El Patron underestimated how demented he can be. He says he will handle this Mexican street style, saying that if El Patron wants to put his hands on his family, then he will put his hands on El Patron's. Dos Caras and El Hijo del Dos Caras are attacked with kendo sticks, and El Hijo del Dos Caras is almost unmasked when El Patron shows up. He tells Konnan to leave his family alone, and not to involve them in this. El Patron tells Konnan that if he lays a hand on his father, he will hurt him. Konnan tells El Patron that if he joins, he will let them go. After some words between El Patron and Konnan (whom El Patron calls "Carlos"), LAX let El Patron's brother and father go. El Patron then tells Konnan that they are no longer friends, and that Konnan is no longer the man he once knew and that he is just Konnan and not Carlos. Konnan tells El Patron to put on the LAX shirt, and says he is a man of his word and will let his family goes. El Patron puts the shirt on, then attacks LAX with the kendo stick still laying in the ring. He then rips the shirt off after cleaning house, and the show ends.
