Battleground 2017 - The LIVE Results

Dasha Fuentes interviews John Cena. When asked if he ready, he says yes. He knows what is at stake tonight, as he has come back wanting to be the best, and that he cannot do that by losing tonight's Flag Match as people will remember what will happen at the end.

We see footage of AJ Styles throwing the first pitch at the Citizens Bank Bark in nearby Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dasha Fuentes interviews AJ Styles. He says the United States title represents America and getting what one has earned. He also says the US champ is the workhorse of America, and he will be such until someone unseats him. Until then, Kevin Owens is not worthy of the job.

Tom Phillips interviews Kevin Owens, who says everybody knows he is the best and the new face of America and that he does not need to say it, unlike AJ Styles who has to tell people he is the workhorse. Owens says he deserves the US title, and that he does not have to tell people this is The Kevin Owens Show, either. He wants Styles to know that he is more of a man than Styles ever will be.

Maria and Mike Kanellis are in the Social Media Lounge. When asked if she will ever be in the ring again, Maria says she IS in the ring, helping Mike whenever she can. As for Mike's strategy against Sami Zayn, he plans to punch him in the hard as hard as he did on last Tuesday. Maria says to find love, you just wait until someone looks at you from across the room and you know they're the perfect person. Unfortunately, there is only one of them each, so it just won't happen. After Kayla Braxton wishes Mike luck, Mike says "I don't need luck...I have love." Maria then says "The power...of love."

Aiden English beats "The Perfect Ten" Tye Dillinger.

We see footage from WWE's Facebook page from earlier today of The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) and Jinder Mahal in an interview conducted in Hindi.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) after foiling a double Uso Splash to wins the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships! With this victory, The New Day (Kofi, Big E, Woods) are the first time to win both the Raw and SmackDown tag team titles.

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura beats Baron Corbin by disqualification after Corbin kicks Nakamura in the crotch. Corbin is seen smiling after the match, and is about to leave when he runs back into the ring, hits Nakamura in the gut with the Money In The Bank Briefcase and hits him with End of Days.

SummerSlam is coming to pay-per-view and WWE Network on August 20th!

Naomi guests on commentary for the next match.

Natalya beats Tamina, Lana, Becky Lynch and Charlotte in a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match to become the #1 contender for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. After the match, Naomi extends her hand, but Natalya walks away.

Kevin Owens beats AJ Styles to become the WWE United States Champion for a third time. During the match, Styles goes for the Styles Clash, but his recently hurt left shoulder does not allow him to. Owens tosses Styles into the referee, and hits him with a superkick before going for a pop-up powerbomb. Styles avoids it and goes for a Calf Crusher, then Owens reverses it into a crossface before Styles reverses that into a crossface of his own. Owens then pushes Styles back into a pinfall position, and at this point, the referee has come to and counts the pinfall to give Owens the win and the United States Title.

The Singh Brothers tell Jinder Mahal they will not be allowed at ringside due to the second cage of the Punjabi Prison. Nevertheless, they will celebrate from afar. Jinder says he alone will trap Randy Orton in the Punjabi Prison, and that the people of India will proclaim him as the greatest WWE Champion of all time.

John Cena beats Rusev in a Flag Match.

It's time for The Fashion Files! Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) thank each other on a job well done when The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) show up and say it was them. Fandango thinks this is all a joke, as they were not at SmackDown Live and instead were at the Eddie Money show with the tickets they bribed them with. Breeze also shows Tully's torn, decapitated head to The Ascension, who are shocked and leave. Suddenly, the lights go out and Breezango are knocked out. Fandango is then dragged out of the room.

Sami Zayn beats Mike Kanellis despite interference attempts from Maria Kanellis.

Jinder Mahal retains the WWE Championship against Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison Match thanks to the constant interference of The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) and the surprise return of The Great Khali, who has not been seen in WWE since 2014, who chokes out Randy Orton from the outside to allow Jinder to escape.

Jinder Mahal talks about the Punjabi Prison Match victory as well as the sudden return of The Great Khali on Talking Smack.
