Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 12, 2018

John Cena shows up to start tonight's show. John Cena says the past is the past, and right now is the road to WrestleMania. He says the people are excited because they know how important WrestleMania is, as does everyone in the back, as it can make a WWE Superstar's career, bring a legend back from the dead and be the most important moment for a WWE Superstar. Tonight, however, Cena is here to face the truth that he has to win the men's Elimination Chamber Match. If he does not, he may not have a road to WrestleMania. He makes it clear he has to win the most unwinnable match in WWE history to face the most unbeatable champion in WWE history. He knows he can make the impossible possible, and he promises he will win the match and face Brock Lesnar. Suddenly, The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) shows up. The Miz tells Cena this is 2018 and the year of The Miz, not 2013, and that he may have spent a bit too much time in Hollywood to the point that he cannot separate fantasy from reality, telling him he is the founding father of Suplex City. He then says he will be heading to WrestleMania, because it is where the Intercontinental title belongs, and he will go on to face Brock Lesnar. Cena tells Miz that he would have no chance with Brock Lesnar and that the match with Lesnar could be his last. Miz tells Cena that is where he is wrong, and says Cena made the mistake of trying to beat Lesnar at his own game; he plans to use his brains to beat Lesnar as he uses whatever he has at his disposal to win. Miz then says he does things others won't do and crosses lines others won't, and that is why he beat Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental title and why he will make it to WrestleMania. Cena says he has to make it through Elimination Chamber first, but Miz says it wouldn't be the first time he has outsmarted a WWE Superstar, as he did it to him. Cena then challenges Miz to a match where the loser enters the men's Elimination Chamber Match first. Miz asks Cena if he thinks he is stupid, but the crowd chants "Yes!" He knows the first person to enter has the worst chance of winning, and asks why he would take that chance when Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel suddenly attack Cena. The Miz then says he would take that chance because he is smarter than Cena. He accepts the challenge, then calls for a referee to come to the ring. Instead of a referee, he gets General Manager Kurt Angle instead. Angle says the show will not start like this, but he admits he likes John Cena's match and what happens to the loser. The match is officially on, and a referee then runs to the ring. When Bo and Axel huddle with Miz, Angle ejects them from the match before starting it.

John Cena beats The Miz by reversing a Skull Crushing Finale off the top rope into an Attitude Adjustment off the top rope. As per pre-match stipulation, The Miz must enter the men's Elimimation Chamber Match first. After the match, John Cena spends a moment with a Make-A-Wish kid in the crowd.

We hear from Matt Hardy, who says he has a second chance to fulfill his destiny, and Apollo Crews, Finn Balor and "the vile Bray Wyatt" are standing in his way. He says they have no idea their second chance is over. He then says the seven deities have given him the powers to make them obsolete, and he will turn the Elimination Chamber into the Deletion Chamber. He then leads a "Delete!" chant.

We hear from Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). Gallows and Anderson say that The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) have been causing the Nerd-O-Meter to rise as of late, and that they are a couple of nerds for knowing the name of every tag team since 1902.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) after Scott Dawson tags into the match, unbeknownst to Karl Anderson.

General Manager Kurt Angle is in the ring. He says he is out here with mixed emotions. At Elimination Chamber, Ronda Rousey will sign her Raw contract. He also announces that Jason Jordan had an MRI done on his neck, and found out he had to have surgery. He will be out of commission for a while and will miss WrestleMania. Angle says he comes out calm, cool and collected every week with a smile on his week, but he cannot do it anymore. He now talks not as the General Manager, but as a father. He tells the crowd that they should be ashamed of themselves if they find joy in Jason Jordan being injured. He admits Jordan is not a crowd favorite, but he is human and his son, and asks that people give Jason Jordan their well wishes. Suddenly, Seth Rollins shows up. Seth says he is sorry about Jason Jordan and admits he was hard on him. He says Jason Jordan is in a tough spot, and he has been there. A year ago, he was WWE Champion after cashing in on Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He was on top of the world until he tore his knee. He was forced to forfeit the title and miss WrestleMania. He says WrestleMania moments are not guaranteed, and he does not even have a match at Elimination Chamber. Angle proposes finding Seth Rollins another tag team partner, but Seth says "Thanks, but no thanks." He reminds Angle that he wanted him to be a mainstay and a part of Raw, but he doesn't want to be a part of Raw; he wants to be Raw. He wants to turn Raw back into "Monday Night Rollins" and be the man one more time, and he wants Brock Lesnar and the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. However, in order to do that, he has to win the men's Elimination Chamber Match. Angle says he loves his enthusiasm, but he cannot cancel the main event to put him in the men's Elimination Chamber Match. Seth Rollins proposes taking the Second Chance Fatal 4-Way and turning it into a Fatal 5-Way with him as the fifth opponent. Angle says it wouldn't be fair to the other participants, but Seth says his fate is in Angle's hands. Seth says he puts his body on the line every night, and while Jason Jordan will miss out on his WrestleMania moment, he does not want to miss his. Angle says it is not up to the either of them; it is up to the fans. Angle asks the fans if they want to see Seth Rollins turn the main event into a Fatal 5-Way. The crowd chants "yes," and Angle tells Seth he has his opportunity tonight. Both men shake hands.

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He says that Seth Rollins has joined the game, and says he or anyone else in the match does not deserve a second chance. He takes note of Matt Hardy calling him "vile," and says he needs to fix him and the rest of the participants in the main event. He says his opponents are being pursued by a shark, and he is starving. He plans on winning in the Elimination Chamber for the second year in a row so he can beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship, so he can once again have the whole world in his hands.

Bayley beats Sasha Banks with a Belly-To-Bayley from the second rope. Before they can show respect, Nia Jax comes out of the crowd and attacks both Bayley and Sasha. Charly Caruso interviews Nia Jax on her way out, and says this has everything to do with her. She says that over the past two weeks, they took Asuka to her limit, but she destroyed them in seconds. She then says at Elimination Chamber, there is only one woman who can break Asuka's undefeated streak, and it is her.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is met by Roman Reigns. Seth tells Roman he couldn't let him all the fun, and asks if he is afraid he will get the final slot. Roman says he will eliminate him just like he did at Royal Rumble. Suddenly, Sheamus and Cesaro show up, and say that the main event will be another failed opportunity for Seth. Cesaro then calls Seth "a lousy tag team partner," then Roman reminds Cesaro that he and Seth busted his mouth after he points out his teeth. After Roman tells Sheamus he will give him matching dental work, Sheamus and Cesaro back away. Seth yells "Nice skirt, fella!" to Sheamus before the fade to black.

We see a video package chronicling Asuka's undefeated streak.

Renee Young interviews Titus O'Neil, Apollo Crews and Dana Brooke. Titus O'Neil decides to replace Renee during the interview, and asks Apollo if he is worried about being deleted by Matt Hardy. Apollo says he's here to create. When asked if he is scared of Bray Wyatt, he says Bray can't digest him. He says he will extinguish Seth Rollins' fire, and the only club he needs is Titus Worldwide, not Balor Club, and they are VIP everywhere they go. Dana Brooke comes up with the tagline of "Crews can't lose," and Titus sees they have a goldmine on their hands. Crews says he will win the Fatal 5-Way.

Backstage, Mickie James wants to know why Alexa Bliss is saving her and tagging up with her tonight. Alexa Bliss says she is tired of Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville), and that she wants to clear the air between herself and Mickie. Alexa tells Mickie she made fun of her age because she was jealous of her. She admits that she is awed by her success as well as her work-life balance. She then says that if Absolution takes the Raw Women's title, the Women's Division is screwed, even though Mickie James brings up Alexa Bliss trying to back out of the women's Elimination Chamber Match. Mickie reluctantly agrees on teaming up with Alexa Bliss tonight, but says that come Elimination Chamber, she will be coming for the Raw Women's title.

Absolution (Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) beat Mickie James and Alexa Bliss when Paige distracts Alexa and Sonya yanks Alexa off the apron. After the match, Absolution go on the attack, but Alexa Bliss makes the save for Mickie James again.

Elias is in the ring. Elias says that San Jose, California is an hour away from a real town like San Francisco, then says every town in California is a dump. He then brags about his win from last week and says he will win the men's Elimination Chamber Match and go on to WrestleMania. He then says that at WrestleMania, everyone will know that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." Elias then debuts a song called "Elimination Chamber Blues." Elias is heavily booed as he sings and plays guitar, and says that if that is how it is going to be, he will not sing. The crowd cheers and then chants "yes," but Elias says his vocal cords are warmed up and he is going to sing anyway. As Elias continues to perform, Braun Strowman shows up. He is sitting on a stool with a microphone in front of him, and he plays on a giant upright bass. He then sings and says he is not finished with Elias. The upright bass breaks as he plays it, and Braun Strowman takes the bass with him as he heads to the ring. Elias tries to beg Braun Strowman off, and puts his guitar down. Braun puts the upright bass down, then Braun gets in the ring. Elias goes after Braun, then goes for the guitar shot only to get grabbed the neck and laid out. Braun then hits Elias with a running powerslam. Elias then crawls his way to the back, and Braun Strowman notices. Rather than grabbing Elias with his bare hands, however, Braun grabs the upright bass and takes it with him as he goes up the ramp. Braun then smashes the upright bass into Elias' back, knocking him out, and referees have to check on Elias as Braun leaves.

We hear from Finn Balor. He says Matt Hardy wants to delete him, Bray Wyatt wants to eat him, Apollo Crews wants to prove he can't lose and Seth Rollins wants to prove he's the man. All Balor cares about is winning tonight and at Elimination Chamber to take back the WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns beats Sheamus despite the distractions and attempted interference by Cesaro.

It is announced that Ivory is the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

We look back at "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship at Backlash 2016, courtesy of Kay Jewelers.

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor beat Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy and Apollo Crews in a Second Chance Fatal 5-Way Match to determine the last participant in the men's Elimination Chamber Match after Seth and Finn pin Bray at the same time. (Earlier in the day, WWE.com accidentally revealed that Finn Balor would be the winner, and the finish was changed before the show.)

After Raw went off the air, General Manager Kurt Angle announces on WWE's Facebook page that both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor will be going on to the men's Elimination Chamber Match, making the men's Elimination Chamber match a seven-man match for the first time in the match's history.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
