Next week: Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas for the NXT Championship! If Gargano loses, he leaves NXT!
In footage from earlier today, Velveteen Dream says that if No Way Jose brings the fiesta next week, he will bring the experience. He also proposes a match between himself and Tyler Bate, then stops taking questions from interviewers.
Aleister Black shows up. Aleister says this path has always led one day, and it has put him face-to-face with a sensation, led to a sensation and pushed his limits in the face of an era. But now, there is a devil on his back, and that devil is driving him, because that devil is the NXT Championship. He also says that devil is driving him to possess something, but before he can say what that something is, Killian Dain shows up. Dain says the devil is not on Black's back; he is. He says he will not stop until the NXT Championship is around his waist. He warns that if Black has a problem with it, his path will be stopped by chaos. Killian Dain is about to leave the ring when Aleister Black addresses him, telling Dain he crossed him and that he must now fade to black. Dain drops off the apron and leaves.
TM61 (Nick Miller and Shane Thorne) beat John Skyler and Andrew Duckworth.
"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Ember Moon by referee's decision, and Ember Moon retains the NXT Women's Championship. This happens after Kairi Sane shows up and hits Baszler with a running elbow drop off the steel steps. Both Kairi Sane and Baszler fight in the ring, and Kairi Sane comes out on top. Kairi then checks on Ember Moon, then Baszler tries to rush up on her from behind. Kairi sees it coming and takes Baszler down to the mat with a Spear. Afterwards, Kairi helps Ember Moon to the back to end the show.
