Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 7, 2000

Backstage, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett tells the rest of the New World Order (Scott Hall, Ron Harris, Don Harris), that after tonight, Sid Vicious will think last week was a cakewalk after what he has in store for him and that he will be begging to get rid of the World Heavyweight Championship on eBay.

3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) are in the ring. As they are in the ring, the music slows down at random points. At first, only Shannon and Shane notice, but soon even Evan notices, and then it alternates between speeding up and slowing down. It is then revealed that "Screamin'" Norman Smiley has commandered the music from the production truck. When Norman's music plays, Norman says "Now that's music!"

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley beats Evan Karagias. Former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Danny Hodge is seen in the crowd cheering Smiley on after his win. After the match, Norman tells 3 Count that they have pushed his back against the wall and he is coming out fighting. He then challenges all three of them at once at SuperBrawl, where he says he will have lined up like Vegas showgirls before he does the big wiggles. He then says it's wiggle time in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

J. Biggs - now leads policemen into the locker room, telling them that Booker it in possession of some illegal contraband. The item in question is some sort of shirt.

A black limousine is seen in the parking lot. Out of the limousine comes a couple of women followed by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

The New World Order (Scott Steiner, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Ron Harris, Don Harris) show up along with a couple of women. The Harris Brothers say they are here to give a wake-up call to everyone in the back, as they are in the house. They tell everyone in the back to stay out of their way or they will get hurt, as they are the elite, and no matter how hard anyone tries, nobody will be able to get rid of them. Scott Steiner verbally craps on Tulsa, Oklahoma, then Midajah and Kim say that Scott Steiner is their Superman. Scott Steiner says that last week, he watched a 53-year-old man with more loose skin than a Sharpei puppy come out to the ring and say he is still the man. He says that Flair has been the butt end of all the jokes, and says Flair should have used his money to get a taxi and fixed his crooked, yellow teeth. He then asked himself "If WCW was going to hire Ric Flair, why wouldn't they hire Buddy Rogers?" He then says Flair's career is dead, but Flair is still stylin' and profilin', because Flair could steal Buddy Rogers' name, but not his class. He then says that just like him, the viewers at home changed the channel to watch WWF, because Flair and his friends got fired from there and Flair is "an old, jealous bastard." He tells Flair that there has never been a bigger "ass-kissin', butt-suckin' bastard" in the business and in life than him, and Flair belongs where he is at in WCW because WCW sucks and so does he. As for himself, he is just going to stay in the nWo for life. Jarrett then says that the nWo is in "slapnuts country," and since he is still Acting WCW Commissioner, he might as well get to work. He sends a message to Sid Vicious, saying he is not done with him yet. He has already hand-picked his referee, who will be referee Mark Johnson. He then adds a second stipulation for his match against Sid at SuperBrawl, and that the match is a no-disqualification match. At SuperBrawl, he will bring the World title back to the nWo and he proves that he has all the stroke around here. He has promised that Sid does not have to defend the World title against him, but until then, Sid will have to wrestle who he tells him to wrestle, and tonight, he will have to face Scott Hall in the main event tonight. Scott Hall does not like this, but Jarrett tells him he cleared him tonight, then tells Sid to be in good shape for SuperBrawl. He promises Sid that Hall will be "all up in [his] ass" tonight.

Booker and Midnight are backstage. Booker tells Midnight that "the new and improved Harlem Heat" (Stevie Ray, Big T, J. Biggs) will not take away his dignity.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews David Flair, Crowbar and Daffney backstage. David says that maybe this was meant to be, but tonight, he has to fight one of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's battles.

Booker's entrance music seems to sound like it comes from a 1950s sitcom, and his entrance no longer has pyrotechnics.

The Wall beats Booker. During the match, J. Biggs shows up with the two policeman, which distracts Booker to the point that The Wall beats Booker with the choke slam. J. Biggs has Booker arrested for assault and battery, cuplpable negligence, reckless endangerment and attempted murder.

An angry Brian Knobbs meets with The New World Order (Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris), confronting Jarrett for double-crossing him last week. Jarrett says that if Knobbs had more money, he would have been wrestling Fit Finley. He then asks Knobbs if he wants to finish it with Finley tonight, and says he can consider it done. When Knobbs leaves, the nWo votes to put Knobbs in a match with Bam Bam Bigelow.

Backstage, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson asks Terry Funk if he is going to go through tonight's match. Funk says a man has got to do what a man has got to do, and he wants to know where Anderson stands. Anderson says he will see how the match goes, and then he will tell him where he stands. Funk feels betrayed.

Lenny Lane and Lodi plan on challenging The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) to a tag team match tonight.

Tank Abbott beats The Barbarian by knock-out. Tank Abbott's former bodyguard Big Al is seen in the crowd after the match.

The Demon's casket is seen backstage. Crowbar approaches it and examines the casket, then knocks on it before rocking out on his lead pipe. Crowbar says "Coming!" when he hears Daffney screams, then runs off.

We see Torrie Wilson on the Kid Cam. Kidman says he came to see her, then Torrie Wilson kisses the lens of the Kid Cam.

Oklahoma shows up. He thanks the fans for "the warm Oklahoma reception," then he gets booed. He stands before the fans tonight not just as a man, but in an official capacity. He announces that Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett has named him to organize a new division in WCW that he was born to spearhead. He then announces that he is the General Manager of the WCW Women's Division. He says that women have no place in wrestling, and he has proved it time and time again, but some of them keep trying and trying and says "it's just adorable." He has decided to make it easy for these women and to look out for them. He plans to institute rigorous medical examinations for each and every woman on the roster, and he will be physically present for each and every examination. However, this is bad news for Medusa, and asks Dr. Heywood Jeter to come to the ring. Dr. Heywood Jeter shows up, and Oklahoma says he has discovered that Madusa is part of Dr. Jeter's clientele. Jeter admits he has done cosmetic work on Madusa's nose, eyes, lips, chest and buttocks. Oklahoma says that Madusa has no place in the women's division, saying she is not "a natural woman." Suddenly, Madusa shows up, and Oklahoma thinks that everyone is cheering for him. Madusa slaps Dr. Jeter and kicks him to the ground, then kicks Oklahoma in the gut that sends him out of the ring. She then breaks Oklahoma's clipboard on Dr. Jeter's head before kicking him in the groin. At this point, Oklahoma is getting out of the ring and heading to the back.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that the WCW executive board has been in a closed-door session for a a couple of hours and that Terry Taylor is coming out of that meeting with big news that will be passed down to the fans shortly.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Terry Taylor backstage. Even though the WCW executive board cannot change participants in a match, they can change the stipulations. He announces that Mark Johnson will no longer be the special guest referee in Jeff Jarrett vs. Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl. He also announces that Sid Vicious vs. Scott Hall will be for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Backstage, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett is irritated with Terry Taylor's announcement.

We look back at Terry Funk and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's "I Quit" Match from 1989.

Before the next match, David Flair tells Crowbar and Daffney to head to the back. Terry Funk then asks David Flair if he knows that he is getting into an "I Quit" Match before giving him one chance to say he quits before the match goes any further. David Flair tells Terry Funk that he will go to Hell before he is quitting. Funk says he knows "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is backstage, and dares Ric to face him in an "I Quit" Match, saying he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship fourteen times and lost it fourteen times. As he continues to call Ric out, David Flair grabs a steel chair and smacks Funk in the back with it.

David Flair beats Terry Funk in an "I Quit" Match. During the match, Funk tells "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to come to the ring and get David as he proceeds to piledrive David into bare cement floor before piledriving him again through a table and threatening to break his neck. Funk gives Ric Flair fie more seconds to get to the ring, and when he does not shot, Funk calls Ric Flair "a filthy bastard" before saying he does not have any chickens like Ric Flair at his "chicken ranch." He then says he does not need to beat on David any more, and says he will quit tonight before saying he will not quit against Ric. He then calls Ric Flair a "banana-nosed, pig-eyed, lyin', cheatin' evil bastard."

Backstage, Mike Tenay is watching the match on a television monitor when "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson shows up and asks Tenay if he has access to a camera crew. Tenay says he does, then says Terry Funk will have his answer in two minutes.

We see footage of David Flair being helped back to the back by referee Mickey Jay and a WCW medical doctor during the break.

Backstage, Mike Tenay interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Anderson says that last Thursday, he said that guys like Terry Funk and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair make him proud to call himself a wrestler. After tonight, he says that what happened earlier was one beating David Flair did not have to take, and he almost wants to agree with Scott Steiner right now, which makes him want to puke. He also says Terry Funk did not have to make an example out of David, and Ric did not have to let it happen. He says that Ric is dancing around trying to be "The Nature Boy" when he should have ran into the ring to stop this. For the first time in his life, he is going to bow out of both Flair's life and the human race, as what he saw made him sick and he wants no part of it.

Stevie Ray beats Disco Inferno. J. Biggs, Big T and The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) almost go at it, and referees have to be brought in to escort The Mamalukes to the back. Later on, Disco Inferno grabs at Stevie Ray's slapjack, but referee Charles Robinson snags it away from him. Stevie Ray then hits the Slapjack for the win.

Backstage, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett talks privately with Scott Hall, saying that the WCW executive board wants to split The New World Order (Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris) up. Scott Hall tells Jarrett he will soften Sid Vicious up for him and keep the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in the nWo.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious. Sid does not care who Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett or the WCW executive board throws in his path. He says that he has tricked The New World Order (Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris) every time, and says Scott Hall is temporarily back in the ring tonight to face final extinction and total oblivion, as he will end his career.

WCW reminds the fans to tune in to Thunder on Wednesdays at 9:05 PM Eastern on TBS.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair leaves in the black limousine with his women. He says that he had something special for "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson" tonight, but now Anderson is in over his head.

Fit Finley is special guest referee for the next match, and he is seen screaming at Brian Knobbs, telling him to get in the ring. Bam Bam Bigelow then nails Knobbs in the head with a trash can to start the next match.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Brian Knobbs to become the WCW Hardcore Champion after special guest referee hits Brian Knobbs in the head with a steel chair and makes a fast count to give Bam Bam Bigelow the win and the title.

Lenny Lane and Lodi mock The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito), starting a brawl that referees and officials quickly gravitate towards in order to restore order.

Crowbar is seen rocking out to The Demon's entrance backstage before the next match.

Kidman beats The Demon. After the match, Crowbar runs into the ring and attacks Kidman. When The Demon gets back in the ring, Crowbar bows down to The Demon, but The Demon wants no part of him.

Sid Vicious is seen laughing and talking to himself backstage.

Backstage, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett tells the rest of The New World Order (Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris) that they have Sid Vicious under control tonight.

The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth show up with a steel chair with a "Hulkster" logo on one side and a white scorpion on the other. The Total Package talks about the return of Hulk Hogan last week on Thunder, then says Hulk Hogan made a mistake in questioning his track record in the sport of professional wrestling. He says Hogan was on the mountain top loking down at everyone else, but now he is the man of professional wrestling and Hogan will find that out the hard way at SuperBrawl when he puts him in the Torture Rack and breaking him in two. He says that he will get the last laugh, then calls out Jimmy Hart. Jimmy Hart shows up, and The Total Package gives Jimmy Hart credit for keeping the show running. Jimmy Hart tells The Total Package that if he wants info on Hulk Hogan, he asked the right person, as he is Hogan's best friend. He then calls The Total Package "a Hulk Hogan wanna-be" and that in his lifetime, he will never sell out as many arenas, sell as much merchandise, have as many fans, or earn as much money as Hogan has. He tells The Total Package that if he wants to send a message to Hogan, he can do it himself. The Total Package stops Jimmy Hart, then says the chants for Hogan made him sick and made him think he was in some sort of time warp. He then says he has one thing Hogan lacks: a vicious streak. He then kicks Jimmy Hart in the gut before putting him in the Torture Rack. Miss Elizabeth then puts Jimmy Hart's hand through the steel chair, then The Total Package stomps the chair to break Jimmy Hart's wrist before telling Hulk Hogan he will see him at SuperBrawl. Medical doctors then tend to Jimmy Hart.

Sid Vicious retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Hall. During the match, referee Nick Patrick gets caught in Scott Hall's fallaway slam to Sid Vicious, then Hall calls for Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett to show up as Nick Patrick is down. Jarrett and Hall attack Sid, then Jarrett leaves as Scott Hall hits Sid with the Outsider's Edge. Jarrett looks back and sees this, then hits Hall with his guitar when he confronts him. He then lays Sid on top of Hall before reviving Nick Patrick. Scott Steiner and The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) show up, and Jarrett tells them they are either with him or with Hall.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for December 20, 1999

Madusa shows up with Spice to start tonight's show. Madusa celebrates the fact that she is the first ever woman to become WCW Cruiserweight Champion, then Buzzkill is seen carrying a sign saying "Equality Now." She not only proved that a woman can beat a man at any given time, she also proved that women are dominating WCW with a little bit of "T&A." However, she is not about that, and the powers that be will soon be "the powers that was," as it used to be "I am woman, hear me roar," and now it is "I am woman, watch me kick your ass." He then issues an open invitation to anyone who wants to come into the ring so she can "neuter [their] ass." She then sees a little bit of a buzzkill tonight, and notices Buzzkill and his equal rights sign. Buzzkill jumps the guardrail when she asks him to give her the equal right to kick his ass. When she asks to see his sign, she takes it and hits him with it.

Madusa beats Buzzkill to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Championship after Spice gets on the apron and distracts referee Mickey Jay, and when Mickey turns towards Buzzkill when he tries to get his attention, Spice tosses a tape knuckle to Madusa, who proceeds to knock Buzzkill out with it for the win.

Vince Russo talks to Curt Hennig, Shane, La Parka and Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald). He says they are sitting on a powder keg, and he wants everyone to be ready tonight. Hennig says he has noticed Hugh Morrus in the back, and Vince puts Hennig in a match with him to make sure it is Morrus' last match. As for Creative Control, he wants them to bring "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to his office.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is seen making his way to the building with his son Colt.

Backstage, Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) are seen asking "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to come to Vince Russo's office. Piper goes to see him with Colt.

A masked man clad completely in black is seen beating Shane in the back with a pipe before running away.

Curt Hennig beats Hugh Morrus. Shortly after the match begins, a man dressed like a mental patient is seen staggering onto the entryway, and Morrus notices the man as if he recognizes him, and calls him "pop" as he asks him to give him two more minutes. He then runs back to the ring, but the man who is apparently his father is still at ringside. Morrus notices this and asks him to go sit down. Nevertheless, he returns to ringside again. Once again, he tells him to stay back, then gets back in the ring again only to run into a Hennigplex and lose. After the match, "Pop" checks on Hugh Morrus and mimics him.

Vince Russo notices that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper that he brought Colt to the office, thinking he is looking for sympathy. He says he will not get any, because he is an asshole. Piper tells him to watch his mouth, while Vince tells him to watch his temper. He tells Piper that he made a deal with him, and if he lays a hand on him, that deal his done. He then tells Piper that he is close to sealing the deal, and all he has to do is go out to the fans and tell them that he sold out, that it it was his idea from the get-go, and that he had nothing to do with it as he will never fess up to anything. If he does not, the deal is off. Piper tells he he always kept his morality and that it was him and Hulk Hogan who got professional wrestling going in the 1980s, and tells him that the fans saved his life and he has never had to sell out until Russo wanted him to. He will put Colt someplace safe, then go out to the crowd and show him what being a real man is like. He hopes that God has mercy on Russo's soul, because he will show no mercy.

The Montreal Screwjob from Survivor Series is brought up, as well as the fact that Vince Russo, also having worked at the WWF at the time, wrote the finish for it. It is then mentioned that the finish to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart vs. Goldberg from last night is similar to the Montreal Screwjob.

Kevin Nash shows up. He says that when you break into the wrestling business, it is like no other business in the world. Twelve months a year, you are up and down the road in cars with other guys, and the veterans sit you in the back and show you the code of conduct that the boys in the back live by. One of them is that the boys never screw one of the boys. He then says what we see in the ring is one thing; what happens behind the curtains is another. There are two entities: the boys and the office. Every night, the boys come out and give their bodies, and the boys are like a fraternity who govern themselves. Meanwhile, the office is all business and all about the dollar, and they take and take and take and take as "they don't give a shit about us." They have no medical, dental, retirement, disability or even social security. If the office can find a way to screw one of the boys for a dollar, one of the boys is going to get screwed. He doesn't give a damn about Goldberg, but what happened to him at Starrcade was "bullshit." In the fraternity, if the boys don't watch out for themselves, they are in a lot of trouble, as it about survival and the office will take and take until they throw them to the curb. That leaves him with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, whom he says broke the code and screwed one of the boys for his personal gain through the office. He says Bret tells everyone he is the best there was, the best there is, the best there ever will be, but to him, he is just "a piece of shit." He leaves.

We see footage from during the break where an angry Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is seen entering the building.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald). They say Nash does not speak for everybody, and call him the biggest politician in the locker room. They think that either "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was in on it, or that somebody needs to shut Nash's mouth up permanently.

Tank Abbott vs. Jerry Flynn ends in a no-contest. During the match, the referee is shoved down twice by both men as they brawl. Security has to get involved when both men cannot even stopped, and Jerry Flynn gets handcuffed. Tank Abbott gets a cheap shot in on Jerry Flynn, then heads to the back.

A Chevrolet Corvette is seen parking outside, and Goldberg comes out of it.

The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Asya) shows up. As Douglas demands "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan come to the ring, Perry Saturn grabs the microphone and says Douglas asked the age-old question: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop, with the answer being three. This confuses the rest of The Revolution, and Saturn hands the microphone back to Douglas, who asks "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan to come on out and rip the American flag down like a used piece of toilet paper. Duggan shows up in a somber mood, Douglas demands that Duggan denounces the United States of America and burn the American flag. Duggan refuses to do it., tells Douglas he lied when asked if he is going back on his word, then pushes Douglas down. The Revolution then attacks Duggan, then Douglas says "to hell with Standards and Practices" and has Dean Malenko set the American flag on fire. Suddenly, The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman) show up for the first time in weeks and saves Duggan, who is seen holding up the American flag as he is down.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is seen approaching the ring with Colt.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper gets in the ring alone. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Goldberg are both watching what is happening on monitors in separate rooms. He immediately says that he sold out, saying he did a lot of things back in his day, and that he is the real deal and not a fan of this "dog and pony" stuff. He says that people want to see people fight, calls Goldberg one of the best pieces of talent he has seen in a long time and apologizes to him, then says Goldberg is right. He tells the people to tell the powers that be that they don't want phonies, they want fights and they want fighters with real athletes. He then says that he is a real fighter, and if the powers that be want him to do this "dog and pony baloney," then he quits. He then asks the fans to grab their kids and tell them they love them, then is about to go into a rant before he stops himself and says that he quits. He leaves, and Colt shows up with him halfway up the aisle. Goldberg joins them, and Colt tells his father he loves him. Goldberg tells Piper that he stayed up all night last night trying to make sense of everything, but could not come to a conclusion. He says there have been a couple of guys in the business that he grew to respect, and that Roddy was one of them until last night, when he was faced with a decision and made the wrong choice. He does not know where to go with it, and all he can tell him is that he made the wrong decision, and he will never do that. Piper tells Goldberg he is a great piece of talent and knows what he can do, then apologizes to him and tells him not to be a phony. Goldberg tells him he will carry that torch until he dies, but Bret shows up and says there is nobody to blame here and that the real heat is with the office, and nobody knows better than he does what it is like to get screwed over by the office. He does not want to carry the World title around after what happened, and as far as he is concerned, the World title is vacant, and he is about to go back to the office and tell the powers that be to shove the World title up their ass. Goldberg tells Colt "It's alright, kid. Everybody makes mistakes; I understand." Goldberg, Piper and Colt then go to the back.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart confronts Vince Russo, who says he did it all for him to make up for the Montreal Screwjob. Bret throws the World title and tells Russo to stick the belt up his ass, then leaves. Russo puts Bret in a match with Goldberg, and tells him to let Goldberg beat his ass like he would have last night before calling him a piece of garbage.

Before the next match, "Screamin'" Norman Smiley offers to fistbump with Meng. Meng does it, then chops him. Meng hits him for a little while, then Fit Finley and Brian Knobbs run in to get the next match started.

Fit Finley and Brian Knobbs beat "Screamin'" Norman Smiley and Meng after the match goes to the men's bathroom.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper asks Colt to stay in the dressing room while he takes care of a few things backstage. He then pulls out a wooden baseball bat and leaves.

We see a promo for The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea's "recording session." (This promo is absent from the WWE Network.)

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart talks to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, telling him not to beat himself up over last night.

The Maestro beats Evan Karagias after Symphony gets on the apron and distracts Karagias. Karagias pushes her down, and Symphony hurts her knee. When Karagias checks on her, he gets hit by a knee from The Maestro, who then gets the win. After the match, Symphony reveals she is not even hurt.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper destroys the set that is the powers that be's office with a baseball bat.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. checks on Evan Karagias backstage, then tries to sell him a book on how to pick up women. Evan Karagias beats the crap out of him for it.

before the next match, chris "Champagne" Kanyon has been to Hollywood, and Baltimore, Maryland is definitely not Hollywood. He says that he single-handedly destroyed The Triad, and The Triad is done. On Monday, he easily beat Bam Bam Bigelow, and on Thuesday he bluew by Diamond Dallas Page. He then asks Bigelow and DDP to get into the ring so he can prove that nobody can stop CCK. Bigelow and DDP show up. J. Biggs guests on commentary for the next match.

Chris "Champagne" Kanyon beats Bam Bam Bigelow and Diamond Dallas Page in a three-way match. During the match, DDP hits Kanyon with a Diamond Cutter, then does the same with Bigelow. He then walks out after nearly hitting one on referee Scott Dickinson and kissing a female fan in the front row. J. Biggs leaves commentary and throws his briefcase to Kanyon, and Dickinson tries to take the briefcase away from him. When J. Biggs gets on the apron, Kanyon smashes a champagne bottle on Bigelow's head to get the win. After the match, Kanyon tells Silverman that somebody threw something into the ring when confronted about the champagne bottle.

It is announced that Sting has suffered a hairline fracture on the skull and a fractured wrist at Starrcade.

Scott Hall shows up on crutches before the next "match." As Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) gang up on Kevin Nash, Scott Hall gets in the ring, revealing he is not even hurt, and he and Nash attack both members of Creative Controls with the crutches. Creative Control is forced to retreat.

A fake Sting is seen in the rafters, and Miss Elizabeth is seen threatening to hit him with a bat. It becomes very obvious that the fake Sting is The Total Package.

Jeff Jarrett beats "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit to win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship! During the match, Jarrett's knee goes out, and Benoit goes for the ladder and tries to climb for the United States title. He tries to climb the ladder, but the rungs on it break when he stomps on them. He tries climbing on the other side, but the rungs on that side break, too. Jarrett miraculously recovers from that hurt knee - revealing he was never hurt at all - and smashes a guitar into Benoit's head. Jarrett gets another ladder out from underneath the ring, and it is revealed that the first ladder was "gimmicked" by Jarrett and that Benoit did not know about the second ladder. Jarrett quickly climbs up the ladder to grab the United States title and become the new United States champion.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jeff Jarrett, who tells Okerlund to take the bass out of his voice before he takes him out like he did Mike Tenay. He declares that what happened to him last night at Starrcade was bullshit, and that "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit got his receipt tonight. Curt Hennig shows up and tell Jeff Jarrett that Vince Russo wants to see him in the limousine, and takes Jarrett to him.

The Wall beats Sid Vicious by disqualification. During the match, Berlyn shows up and gets on the apron, but gets down when Sid notices him. When he goes for the powerbomb, he lets go when Berlyn gets on the apron and distracts him again. The Wall goes for a chokeslam, but Berlyn gets on the top rope and hits him with a missile drop kick, ending the match. After the match, Berlyn confronts Sid only to get powerbombed. Sid and The Wall stare down, then Sid extends his hand. The Wall takes it, then Sid raises his hand in a sign of respect.

Jeff Jarrett finds out from Vince Russo that tonight is the night, and tells Jarrett to sit back and enjoy.

Tony Marinari is seen speaking to his father, the boss. Johnny The Bull and Big Vito bring in Disco Inferno, and the boss tells Disco Inferno (calling him "Glenn") that he liked him, but now he has pissed him off and his money is no longer good to him. He gives him a choice: either join the family and do whatever Tony tells him to do, or he can spend the rest of his life in a coma.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Goldberg are seen getting ready for their match in their dressing rooms.

Kevin Sullivan guests on commentary before the next match, as it is revealed that The Varsity Club's (Mike Rotunda, Rick Steiner, Kevin Sullivan) cheerleader's name is Leia Meow. Before the next match, Mike Rotunda tells the crowd that he and Rick Steiner went to real schools and not some "backwater stinkin' university like Maryland." Rick Steiner then asks Booker T where Midnight is so she can fight Booker's battles for him.

The Varsity Club (Mike Rotunda and Rick Steiner) beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray). Later on in the match, Kevin Sullivan, Rick Steiner and Mike Rontunda switch places between the apron and the commentary table, and Leia Meow's name is confirmed by Kevin Sullivan. Shortly after that, Midnight shows up, and Stevie Ray tells her to get out of the ring. Mike Rotunda takes advantage by grabbing Stevie Ray's tights and getting him in a schoolboy pin. Afterwards, The Varisty Club are attacked from behind by two men in colorful pants with hubcaps, and they are identified as PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D).

Daffney Unger meets The Misfits, and Jerry Only tells her to swing down by the lab for some real tattoo work. Daffney grabs Jerry by the jacket, asks what work he wants to do, then knees him in the gut and forcefully kisses him. Vampiro and the rest of The Misfits try to pull her off, and Daffney tells Vampiro he made a big mistake by touching him before running off and screaming.

Daffney Unger accompanies David Flair to the ring. When they get in, they circle ring announcer David Penzer, then David whacks Penzer in the back with his golden crowbar before Daffney kicks at him. David then calls out Vampiro for putting his hands on Daffney, and calls him down to the ring so he can whip his ass. Vampiro shows up, and says he wants no problems with David as it is all a big misunderstanding. He apologizes to David...that he is a psycho freak and that Daffney is twice as mental. David whacks Mapiro in the back with the crowbar, then Daffney takes it and whacks him with it. Jerry Only gets in the ring but fares no better as soon as he slides in, as David and Daffney stmp on him and hit him with the crowbar. They attack Jerry and Vampiro some more, then they kiss and leave the ring.

Vampiro and Jerry Only are checked on by EMTs, and The Misfits get unruly in the process.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Buff Bagwell. He says that Baltimore, Marlyand has always been good to him, and he is always good to Baltimore. He says he is here because there is something missing in his career, then talks about his double neck fusion surgery as well as his career before proclaiming that he wants the gold. He has been given the shaft and kept down for a long time, but he will come back on top in the new millennium and walk away with a title. As far as rumors about him and Kimberly go, he pushes the microphone down and tells him "that's bullshit and you know it." Okerlund tells him that if he walks away, he will admit guilt, but Buff says he is innocent and that there is "nothing but friendship" between him and Kimberly, even though there have been reports that he has been seen with her. Buff says that when you are him, rumors are going to fly. He asks if Okerlund and the crowd wants to go there, then he says that Kimberly is a ten on his scale and "a knockout," and that if Diamond Dallas Page wasn't married to Kimberly, then "Buff would put his stuff all over her." Buff then asks Okerlund if he would kick Kimberly out of his bed if he were to take the elevator to the concierge level of the Marriott. Okerlund says he's married, but if he wasn't, he would certainly take a closer look, and Buff says he would too. Diamond Dalla Page's music hits, but he comes out from the other side, and security have to stop him as he is giving Buff a beatdown. Arena security has to quickly move into place when Buff strikes back.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper wishes Sid Vicious the best of luck. Sid wishes Piper didn't have to leave, then says he'll see him later. Piper then tells everyone in the locker room that they are the best group of athletes in his sport to ever come along. He has gone up and down seven days a week for years, and tells them not to let the powers that be make them into clowns and end their career. He says he made it 30 years because he has balls, and goes on to tell them they are the best and none better have come yet. He talks about the having to miss watching his kids grow up, and tells them to love their kids and save their money, as they are the generation that will do the one things his never did: stand up, stick together, form a union and make them take care of their basic needs, for without them, the writers are just writers. He wishes the locker room a merry Christmas, then he gets a short round of applause.

Jeff Jarrett sits down to watch Goldberg vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in his dressing room.

Before the next match, it is announced that Goldberg is on the cover and the focus of the cover article of the newest issue of WCW Magazine.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart controversially beats Goldberg to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion for a second time. During the match, Goldberg inadvertently knocks referee Billy Silverman out with an elbow as he rears back for a punch in the corner to Bret. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) show up with baseball bats and beat up Goldberg, then Nash hands a bat to Bret, who takes it. Bret hits Goldberg with the bat , then "Rowdy" Roddy Piper gets in the ring and fights Bret before shielding Goldberg. When Sivlerman comes to, he counts the pinfall, thinking Piper is Bret, and Bret wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Jeff Jarrett shows up and hits Piper in the head with a guitar, then Jarrett pulls out a black can of spray paint. Nash rips the back of Piper's shirt in half, then Jarrett spraypraints "NWO" on Goldberg's chest and leg and on Piper's back in silver spray paint. Nash then announces that the band is back together. The New World Order is back.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 1, 1999

Backstage, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are confronted by Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, who is now on crutches and calls them the two biggest pieces of scum he has ever seen. Kevin Nash says Bret should be happy that they helped him win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, but Bret says this is not how he does business and that he does not need their help to win. He tells them to stay out of his business.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up. Bret says he did not build his reputation by screwing people, and that he watched the footage of last week's match and it is obvious to him that Goldberg got screwed. He says there is a lot of scum running around in the back, such as The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Sid Vicious, and tells them that as far as he is concerned, Goldberg is the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship and that he does not want to win a title like he did last week. Suddenly, Sid shows up, saying the title does not belong to Goldberg and that it belongs to him, and what Bret does not know is that at Halloween Havoc, the referee stopped the match at his discretion. If Bret thinks for a second that a little blood will make him quit, he is mistaken, and that he has proof that Goldberg said he quit, which he will show off later on. Right now, he wants something that belongs to him, and that it is the United States title. Sid tells Bret "Screw you," to which Sid replies "Screw your crippled ass." He then clotheslines Bret to the mat and takes the boots to him, then The Outsiders show up as Sid is about to powerbomb Bret. The Outsiders stop Sid, hand him the United States title and raise Sid's hand. Sid leaves as Nash and Hall continue to mess with Bret.

A steel cage is situated high above the ring.

Group 3 of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship Tournament is "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko, Madusa vs. Evan Karagias, Scott Hall vs. Sid Vicious, and "The Cat" Ernest Miller vs. Lash LeRoux. Madusa has been given another chance in the tournament by "the powers that be." Group 4 is Buff Bagwell vs. Stevie Ray, Vampiro vs. Berlyn, Disco Inferno vs. Curt Hennig, and Booker T vs. Jeff Jarrett.

Perry Saturn and Torrie Wilson show up in the building. Torrie runs away to get away from him, Shane Douglas and Dean Malenko, but Asya is nearby, and she grabs her and brings her back.

The WCW Talking Arena is now available!

Vampiro beats Berlyn to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, members of rock group The Misfits show up and lie in wait from ringside, and when Berlyn runs into the referee during an Irish Whip, Berlyn's bodyguard gets involved only for The Misfits to stop him, allowing Vampiro to knock the bodyguard's lights out with a steel chair. Vampiro goes back into the ring and goes for a top rope drop kick, and as Berly ngains momentum in the match, The Misfits trip Berlyn and grab onto his legs, allowing Vampiro the win. After the match, Berlyn starts speaking in English for the first time and says "No more! Screw Berlyn! From now on, screw USA!"

Backstage, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) discuss Nash not being able to accompany Nash to the ring tonight, and offers to be his promoter to give him a downside guarantee. Hall thinks Nash is high.

Meanwhile, Torrie Wilson is in a cage, thanks to The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn), and the shark cage is being carried around by a forklift.

The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn) shows up. Shane says that if the fans want a revolution, then they will change the world. He then tells The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) get their knives out of their tires and make it to the building, they will have an offer for them that they cannot refuse. Saturn tells Eddie that he is not done with him yet, and he proposes putting the key to the shark cage on a pole and facing off in a Key on a Pole Match. If Eddie gets the key, Torrie is free; if he gets the key, he gets to scale her. Malenko tells "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit says he has his friendship "right here," and says Benoit has been too soft and nothing but a puss, and tonight, it is his ass that is going to be crippled. Benoit shows up, mentions that The Revoution seems to have developed a cage fetish, and tells them to look up where the steel cage is, and tells Malenko he will be locked up with him. Just like he extended his hand in friendship to him, he will find out what "silent but violent" is all about.

Kevin Nash gets a makeover from a make-up artist.

This week's Mayhem winner is Kyle Hudgins from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) make it into the building. When an arena security guard asks for passes, they beat him up.

Mike Tenay interviews Kimberly, who is surrounded by The Nitro Girls. Kimberly says that Diamond Dallas Page has suffered a chipped collar bone, a chipped sternum and chipped ribs, and has no idea when he will be able to come back to work. She says that The Nitro Girls are here in this interview because she has had a lot on her mind, and tells them they have had a lot of fun together and that they mean so much to her. However, it is time for her to leave the group, as she has more important business to take care of right now. Kimberly seems distressed as she walks away.

In the Mayhem Match of the Week, "The Ragin' Cajun" Lash LeRoux beats Ernest "The Cat" Miller (who is back early following an ACL injury and now surrounded by beautiful women and is no longer accompanied by Sonny Onoo) by submission to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament.

Mike Tenay interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. He says The Outsiders and Sid Vicious are the lowest scum on the earth, and that they willing to stoop to any low to get to the top. By the end of the night, someone is going to pay, and he tells Sid he doesn't get mad, he gets even, and he will get even before the night is over.

The Nitro Girls try to stick together, but it becomes evident that there is no clear leader and a tiff begins to form between tjem.

Backstage, The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) are getting footage of Miss Elizabeth in the dressing room with The Total Package. They are talking about the tournament (and it becomes obvious that tha audio is ahead of the video by a few seconds). We then see the production crew at work.

We see "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko interview Scott Steiner, who has been out of action for months. Scott Steiner says that a year-and-a-half ago, he hurt his back and came back form it, but he had to have three screws in his shoulder and he had to wear a brace that made him lean to the left, which upset three ruptured discs. Ever since that shoulder surgery, he has been in severe pain. He tried to avoid surgery by any means possible, and had six epidurals which gave him headaches and nerve blocks and never worked as the pain kept coming back. Surgery ended up being his only option left. The doctors told him he should be fine after a dissectomy. Right now, he cannot do anything for the next three weeks and that all he can do is take it easy, try to walk and lie down a lot. After that, he will go to rehab, and eight to ten weeks later, he will see the doctors again and go from there. He hopes to come back to professional wrestling, but he does not feel great right now, and he can only go by what the doctor tells him and hope that he is right.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls, which quickly turns into a catfight between Spice and AC Jazz.

Mike Tenay interviews Buff Bagwell, who says that he is sick and tired of being burned by the powers that be. He thought his ship had come in, but it is the bottom floor of the TitanTron. He refuses to sink, and as long as the powers that be line them up, he will knock them down.

A disguised Kevin Nash is on a cell phone, pretending to be a promoter.

AC Jazz and Whisper continue their fight backstage in front of the other Nitro Girls.

Before the next math, Stevie Ray - carrying a leather strap - tells Buff Bagwell not to celebrate too early, as the powers that be have informed him he is not the chosen one. He says this is just business, and tonight, they have a strap match. Buff wants to know if this is a surprise from the powers that be, but Stevie Ray says he has to do what he has to do.

Buff Bagwell beats Stevie Ray by disqualification to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament after "Creative Control" - the two men in the suits - shows up and tries to attack Bagwell.

Mike Tenay interviews Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett tells Tenay not to get slappy with him, as he has the stroke and can have him flipping burgers at Burger King tomorrow morning. As far as Miss Elizabeth is concerned, he did not take her out with his guitar and does not appreciate The Total Package accusing him of hurting her. Tonight, he will get his public apology out of him, one way or another, as he has the corner on the booking market around her. If he does not apologize to him, he will put him on the first Lex Express right out of town.

Kevin Nash shows up in his promoter disguise. He thanks the fans for their warm and kind hospitality. Even though he is a promoter and the most powerful man in sports entertainment today, the fans can rest assured that everything he does, he does for the fans. He says it is true, and that he is a very knowledgeable man, hence why he is called "VKM." (Although he does not say the letters, he does motion the letters with his free hand, with "VKM" very obviously being a reference to WWF Chairman Vince McMahon.) He has single-handedly built sports entertainment, and asks not to be called an asshole, saying the fans are assholes. Unlike "Billionaire Ted," he did not buy his way to the top; instead, he borrowed money and stepped on everybody on his way to the top. Because of stock optons, he is now a billionaire, and he put everyone out of business until he was the only show in town. In any event, he stands in the room with a guarantee that that his cash cow - whom he will push as a babyface until the fans regurgitate him - is the roughest and toughest in WCW and will someday work the main event with Jeff Jarrett. He claims that this person is clean, sober and has more than one catchphrase. That man is Scott Hall. Hall shows up, and Nash nearly loses his wig. He says that he is not following this act, as the party polie in WCW have told him that he is out o fhere after one more strike and he is not going back to WWF. Since the promoter looks so much like Vine McMahon, he asks him who picks his clothes out. He then tells "all the boys up north" that he has their attitude "right here" as he gives a "down there"-style crotch chop.

Backstage, Miss Elizabeth and The Total Package encounter Meng, and The Total Package tells Meng that Jeff Jarrett has said negative things about how he has shattered the "island boy" myth and how it took so long for him to beat Madusa. The Total Package holds up a banana and says that Jarrett is even passing bananas out, and Meng takes it out of his hand and puts as much of it into his mouth as possible.

Mike Tenay interviews Curt Hennig. Hennig says then when he retires, it will be his decision and his decision alone. The powers that be may be trying to get rid of him, but he will save his job and win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Curt Hennig's father, Larry "The Axe" Hennig, is seen in the front row for the next match.

Curt Hennig beats Disco Inferno by count-out to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Larry "The Axe" Hennig gets to punch Disco Inferno in the face. Later on in the match, a young man shows up and tells Disco Inferno that it is time for him to pay on his debts. Disco is counted out, and Hennig wins. (This is not the first appearance of this young man; he originally played the crazed fan of Lenny and Lodi's until their gimmick was dropped due to complaints by GLAAD.)

Mike Tenay interviews The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero). Eddie says someone forgot to tell The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn) that you do not steal from The Filthy Animals, and that they can take care of this themselves. He is tired of their games, and when he runs rings around Saturn, Torrie is coming back home. Konnan then issues an open challenge against himself and Kidman for the WCW World Tag Team Championships, and says there will be no hiding behind politics or bookers or any sabotage involved if anybody wants to accept the challenge.

Norman Smiley is seen coming out of the locker room in a baseball catcher's vest and mask.

Scott Hall meets with Kevin Nash, who is getting into his "Vince McMahon" ccharacter. Nash then looks into the camera, points at it and says "Get it?"

Norman Smiley beats Meng and The Barbarian in a three-way hardcore match. During the match, Norman Smiley has to be taken out of the math on a stretcher, but he gets a second wind and gets back in the ring right after Meng and The Barbarian are both knocked out off-screen. Norman Smiley pins The Barbarian and gets the win, then does the Big Wiggle on the commentary table.

Jeff Jarrett is seen backstage, telling The Total Package that it is time for his public apology.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan is seen in a suit with "Creative Control" behind him. He thanks the man on the other side of the for his time, and talks about what has happened to him in the past year while "Creative Control" laughs, and asks for another opportunity in the company. The man at the other side of the desk (who is Vince Russo) makes it known that he only cares about ratings, and that he will think about it.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) talk about Sid Vicious, with Nash saying that if Sid gets screwed, it is because Sid screwed Sd. Nash then winks at the camera and says "Get it?"

The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth talk with Meng, and tell him that Jeff Jarrett has an interview coming up and that he should check it out.

Jeff Jarrett shows up, and tells The Total Package to come out to the ring and publicly apologize to him like a man, as he did not put a finger on Miss Elizabeth and does not appreciate being accused of anything. He says that this is not the WWF, and that "we don't abuse women around here." The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth show up, and The Total Package tells Jarrett that as hard as it is to apologize, he admits that he does not know if Jarrett hit Elizabeth, and says he is sorry. He admits he has heard rumors in the back that it could be somebody else, and Jarrett says he is right as he has the stroke, he is the chosen one and that he does not get physical with women anymore. The Total Package says he is on Jarrett's side, and says he heard it could be Meng. Jarrett does not believe this, saying it took Meng a day-and-a-half to take down Madusa, and as he says what he would do to Madusa if he were in the ring with her, Meng runs out and goes straight for Jarrett. Jarrett tells him "Back up, slapnuts! You big wuss!" as he heads to the back. Luger then makes his way to the ring, as does Miss Elizabeth. Elizabeth calls Meng "a real man who comes to the aid of a woman" and tells The Total Package that he could learn a lesson from this. Elizabeth then sprays mace into Meng's eyes, and The Total Package whacks Meng with a tire iron.

The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) are seen heading towards the ring backstage, as are The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn), who has Torrie Wilson with them.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) knock on Sid Vicious' dressing room door.

The Total Package talks to Sting about going for the WCW World Tag Team Championships, but Sting is not interested. The Total Package tells Sting he will get his World title back, but they cannot pass the tag team titles up. Sting says he is okay with having the match.

Perry Saturn is seen driving the forklift carrying the shark cage with Torrie Wilson inside to ringside before the next match.

Eddie Guerrero beats Perry Saturn in a Shark Cage Key on a Pole Match after Torrie Wilson choke Perry Saturn from inside the cage and keeps him from moving. After the match, The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie) celebrate.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Sid Vicious talk backstage. Nash tells Sid that all he has to do is trust him, but Sid, thinking that Nash is Vince McMahon, says that the last time he trusted Vince and Hall years ago, his career has been in the shitter. Nash has to show him that his hair is a wig, then Sid realizes that it is Nash he is telling at and they all have a good laugh.

Mike Tenay interviews The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth. The Total Package takes offense to Mike Tenay saying he is trying to mess with his potential opponents in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament, says that the tag team titles are all he and Sting are focused on, and that he and Miss Elizabeth are out of here.

Sting and The Total Package beat The Filthy Animals (Konnan and Kidman) by disqualification. Early on in the match, The Total Package blows his knee out, and Sting is on his own. Rey Mysterio Jr. runs out, then The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey, Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) gang up on Sting and hit him with his bat while Miss Elizabeth checks on The Total Package. The Total Package then gets back in the ring afterwards, and Sting pushes him to the mat. The Filthy Animals (Konnan and Kidman) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Sid Vicious plan out their match in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament, with Hall telling Sid to pin him as he has nothing left to prove in the business.

Backstage, an angry Sting looks for The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero).

Jeff Jarrett beats Booker T to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. "Creative Control" are seen watching from the stage during the match. Near the end, they get in the ring and distract Booker T so that Jarrett can hit Booker T with his guitar to get the win.

We see Mike Tenay interview Goldberg on the set of Slam. Goldberg says it does not take a genius to figure out how pissed off he is, and the intensity in his eyes is nothing compared to the hell he will put The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Sid Vicious through. He cannot tell if Sid is either too brave or too stupid to figure out when to quit, and when he gets him in the ring again, he will make Halloween Havoc look like a PTA meeting and there will be no doctor alive who will be able to sew him back up. There was no suit or wrestler who would ask him what was going on, because they all knew he would rip their heads clean off. He says the one mistake that The Outsiders have made is that they left him laying, but he was still breathing, and he was able to get up and walk out. He says they will live to regret that decision, because as long as he can get up and walk away, they will need eyes in the back of their heads. He has never asked for help in the past, and he is not starting now. He does not care how many people he is facing at once, because at the end of the day, his mission is to get The Outsiders and Sid Vicious out of the business for good.

The Nitro Girls, now split into two different factions of three each, are about to go at it outside of the building when Kevin Nash - dressed as Vince McMahon - shows up and says that as much as he likes a good catfight, it should be saved for the pay-per-view. He then points at the camera and says "Get it?" before laughing again.

Mike Tenay interviews Evan Karagias. Karagias says he is excited to be in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament, but he has never wrestled a woman before. He means no disrespect to Medusa, but there is something about her and hopes they can be friends, and may the best competitor win.

Mike Tenay interviews Madusa. Madusa says "the powers that be" seem to get a kick out of competing with men, and that she plans to take full advantage of the situation. He says they will learn that they should never underestimate a woman, especially her.

Madusa beats Evan Karagias by seducing him to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

As "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko head to the ring, David Flair is seen entering the building with a crowbar in his hands.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Dean Malenko to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, The Revolution (Shane Douglas and Perry Saturn) and Asya show up, and Saturn climbs up the cage to toss a chain to Malenko. Benoit tosses Malenko into the steel cage wall that Saturn is climbing on and grabs the chain, then wallops Malenko with it. Benoit then climbs to the top of the cage, hits the diving headbutt and pins Malenko. After the match, Perry Saturn climbs to the top of the cage and hits Benoit with a diving elbow, then Shane Douglas and Asya get in the ring. Shane, who has a plastic cast on his left arm, attacks Benoit along with Asya, and Saturn, Shane and Asya then handcuff Benoit's right leg to the bottom rope before cuffing his wrists to the top one. Benoit easily falls victim to the numbers game, but The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) run in to fight The Revolution. The Filthy Animals get the upper hand, but David Flair suddenly shows up and hits The Filthy Animals with a crowbar while The Revolution escapes. David Flair is about to attack Benoit, but he frees Benoit from the handcuffs as Sting shows up and attacks Konnan as the latter makes his way to the back.

Backstage, David Flair heads to the parking lot only to get hit by a car. David Flair is out cold, and out of the driver's seat comes Kimberly, who takes the crowbar - which is now lying on the hood of the car - and circles Flair to see if he is conscious. She then lays the crowbar next to David and drives off.

Scott Hall calls for medical help in his dressing room, as Kevin Nash is now flat on his back.

Scott Hall beats Sid Vicious to continue to the next round of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. At the beginning of the match, Sid pushes Hall down with one finger, but when he goes for the pin, Hall reverses it into an inside cradle. Later on in the match, Hall smacks referee Johnny Boone as Sid gets him up for a choke slam. He is about to powerbomb Hall when Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up and smacks one of his crutches into Sid's back. As the referee is getting back up, Bret tries to do the same to Hall, who runs away from Bret and moves to the other side of the ring to pin Sid. After the match, Scott Hall runs away with the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship after flipping Bret off to end the show.
