Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 6, 2000

The show starts with footage of Fit Finley and Vampiro brawling backstage.

Before the next match, Juventud Guerrera is on the microphone, but Kaz Hayashi knocks both him and Psychosis out of the ring, starting the match.

Kaz Hayashi beats Psychosis. During the match, Fit Finley and Vampiro's backstage brawl spills over to ringside, then heads back to the back again. Afterwards, The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea and Paisley show up, and Paisley has an argument with Juventud Guerrera that distracts referee Charles Robinson and allows The Artist to hit Psychosis with the Cruiserweight title and Hayashi to roll Psychosis up for the win. After the match, Juvi shoves Robinson only to get shoved back, and Psychosis and The Artist fight in the ring. With help from Juvi, Psychosis comes out on top.

WCW security is seen holding both Fit Finley and Vampiro back. As this happens, Jeff Jarrett and The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) are seeing this happen on a monitor, and Jarrett says that tonight's main event is going to be easy.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Disco Inferno and The Mamalukes (Johnny the Bull and Big Vito), who demand that they be called "The Paizans." Disco says The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) may be getting their shot at the tag team titles at Uncensored, but with his intellectual capability and managerial experience, they will retain. Johnny the Bull says he loves his cheese sandwiches, but he will not eat another one until he gets his hands on The Harris Boys. Big Vito tells The Harris Boys they can jump them all they want, because they are the tag team champions and he will kick Ron Harris' butt Italian style.

Vampiro is seen angrily leaving the arena backstage.

We see footage from last Firday where Riki Rachtman is at the nearby Club Shakers in Raleigh, North Carolina as part of the road to Spring Break-Out 2000, followed by footage of Campus Clash at nearby Duke University.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth are seen entering the arena.

Ron Harris beats Big Vito...almost. During the match, Don Harris gets on the apron, distracting referee Billy Silverman and allowing Disco Inferno to drag Ron Harris out. Ron gets in the ring, wraps a chain around one of his fist, and punches out an unsuspecting Big Vito for the win as he hides the chain away from the referee. After the match, the referee sees the switch, and reverses the decision to give Big Vito the win. The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) then attack The Mamalukes (Johnny the Bull and Big Vito), handcuffing Big Vito before hitting Johnny the Bull with the H-Bomb. Disco Inferno gets back in the ring to celebrate only to be H-Bombed as well, and when WCW security get in the ring to deal with The Harris Boys, they are quickly and soundly overpowered. The Harris Boys leve after shoving a police officer off the apron and more members of WCW security arrive.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews David Flair and Daffney. David has not known Crowbar for very long, but says he lived for wrestling, and tonight, he will tear The Wall down on his 21st birthday.

We see footage from moments ago where The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) are arrested for putting their hands on a police officer. With this, Don Harris is out of tonight's main event.

David Flair vs. The Wall ends with The Wall choke slamming David Flair through two tables stacked on top of each other. WCW trainer Danny Young immediately checks on David after the match, and EMTs show up with Terry Funk, Curt Hennig and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Hennig wants to know where "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair was as the choke slam through the tables occurred.

We see footage from moments ago where David Flair is stretchered out from the ring.

Bam Bam Bigelow confronts The Wall for what he did to David Flair backstage and going against what he taught him, but gets slapped off th stairs and into a table.

The Dog beats Evan Karagias.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth. He says he heard Sting make the challenge last week, but he cannot find Sting anywhere in the building tonight. He claims that Sting is afraid of him, and that if Sting wrestles him again, he will break it again. Flair says his son David Flair can take care of himself, and that Hulkamania is coming to a drastic end. He tells Curt Hennig not to mess with him in his home turf.

Jeff Jarrett leaves his dressing room with Midajah, Kim and Tylene.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Sid Vicious is seen talking to Vampiro, telling him he needs him for their tag team match tonight. Vampiro tells Sid he will be there for the match.

Jeff Jarrett shows up with Midajah, Kim and Tylene, and Jarrett tells the ladies to head back to the dressing room. He then says a travesty of justice happened earlier tonight when The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) were arrested, and says that Chapel Hill is the only town in North Carolina that would hire inbred cops. He asked himself why he should have to enter the main event without a tag team partner, then says he does not have to as anybody in the locker room would be glad to team up with him in the ring. He asks for a tag team partner who will look Sid Vicious eye-to-eye and soften him up, because as Uncensored, he will become WCW World Heavyweight Championship. As for tonight, his partner may not be one of The Harris Boys, but it will be the man that he brings out: The Wall. The Wall shows up, and Jarrett tells Vampiro and Sid that he hopes they have their medical bills paid up, as The Wall will do some heavy damage.

Lane and Idol come across The Demon's casket backstage.

Before the next match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tells Curt Hennig that two things will happen tonight. Before he mentions them, however, he says that the crowd will only get a pop out of him when Chapel Hill, North Carolina gets a basketball teams that can win 20 games and that he and Hennig should be wrestling at Duke University.

Curt Hennig beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair despite the interference of The Total Package. After the match, The Total Package smacks Curt Hennig in the arm with a baseball bat, and Flair tosses referee Charles Robinson out of the ring before whipping him with Hulk Hogan's weight belt. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson shows up and Lex Luger puts Curt Hennig's arm through a steel chair to break it, and The Total Package stomps on the chair in front of Anderson. Anderson confronts Flair, who tells The Total Package not tow hack Anderson from behind with the baseball bat, and Flair and The Total Package leave.

Lane and Idol try to weld The Demon's casket shut only to get beaten up by The Demon. Lane wraps a coat over The Demon, however, and he and Idol turn the tables.

We see Riki Rachtmann at Club Shakers again at the Nitro Party.

Curt Hennig is seen on a stretcher in an ambulance, while "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and The Total Package gloat over who they have injured.

Idol guests on commentary for the next match.

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley beats Lane with the Norman Conquest. During the match, Idol leaves the commentary table as Miss Hancock shows up, and Miss Hancock dances around without music on the commentary table as Smiley gets the submission win. After the match, Lane and Idol beat up Smiley, then The Demon shows up and attacks Lane and Idol before cleaning house with Smiley.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious backstage. Sid says it is judgment day for Jeff Jarrett when he and Vampiro take on Jarrett and The Wall to see if they measure up to him.

Tank Abbott is seen being verbally abusive to other people backstage.

Tank Abbott is in the ring. He tells Sid Vicious to buy a lottery ticket as he is the luckiest man alive and he couldn't even hold his jock strap. He says that he tapped out only because the powers that be were going to take him off television, and when he is in shape, he is in one of the baddest men on the planet. Tank says nobody in WCW can touch him, and that he is not leaving the ring. La Parka shows up for his match, and swings his steel chair at Tank Abbott only to get the chair knocked into his face before getting knocked out. Tank Abbott then says this is his show now, and head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger shows up. He tells the security guards with him to forget about Tank Abbott when Meng shows up, and security and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon stop him, with Dillon threatening to suspend him for 60 days without pay. Meng is then escorted back to the back.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

We hear from Hulk Hogan, who says that the release forms have been signed for his match with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and that his doctors will not be responsible for the last few fractures in his forearm. Hulk then says that the main priority in the Yapapi Indian Strap Match is having flexibility in the wrist that you are strapped to your opponent with, as when one is in the four corners of the battlefield, one must get the other person in the proper position to be whipped with the strap. When he gets Flair where he wants him, he will call to "the strapmaster" Jimmy Hart and ask for Yapapi punishment strap number one. As he straps Flair's body and Flair screams to the heavens for mercy as his flesh bubbles off his body, Flair will drop to his knees and apologize for crossing the line. As he hears Flair begs for mercy, he will call to Jimmy Hart for strap number two, and the heavier straps will come in and Flair's flesh will peel from his hide. As he sees the raw, pink meat on Flair's back, he will transform from Hulk to Hollywood and double strap Flair with both fists until Flair begs for him to stop, which he says he will never do.

Before the match, it is announced that Torrie Wilson is on the cover and in a feature article of the newest issue of Ironman Magazine, which is available on newsstands now. When Stevie Ray calls out Cash and Big T, Kidman tells Stevie Ray that he has brought some backup of his own. Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Big T) beat Kidman up before he can announce it, then Booker shows up and fights off Big T and Stevie Ray, officially making Kidman vs. Stevie Ray into a tag team match. J. Biggs guests on commentary for the next match.

Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Big T) beat Kidman and Booker when Cash drags referee Billy Silverman out of the ring. After the match, Cash hits Booker with a big slam.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett tells The Wall that tonight is his night and that he is destined for greatness.

We see Riki Rachtmann very briefly interviewing 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) at Club Shakers.

Dustin Rhodes shows up with some barbed wire. He says that he knocked Terry Funk unconscious two weeks ago, and that Funk got up and kept coming. Last week, he nearly broke his back, but Funk kept going. He says that this is because Funk is "an idiotic old fart" who cares about what the fans think. He calls the fans ungrateful, and says that the know-it-alls in the crowd make him sick. Since he says it is so hard to satisfy the crowd these days, he has given Terry Funk a chance to satisfy them, and he has brought some barbed wire so he can wrap it around his head and make him bleed. He then says that will not happen because the fans suck. Suddenly, Terry Funk shows up with a bag in his hand, and says he sees a chicken in the ring in the form of Dustin Rhodes. He says that Dustin is "an overbearing, fat, obnoxious egg sucking dog" like his father "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, then tells him he has something for him in the bag: his illegitimate baby brother and "Dusty's bastard child." He then pulls out a raw chicken wearing a diaper and throws it at him, then says that if Dustin wants a barbed wire match tonight, then they can have it if they both strap the barbed wire on. Dustin then throws powder at Funk and hits him with a DDT and two piledrivers. He goes for a power bomb, but Funk hits him with a low blow followed by a body slam onto the barbed wire, which he proceeds to wrap around Dustin. Dustin runs to the back, and Funk leaves with the raw chicken.

Jeff Jarrett and The Wall beat Sid Vicious and Vampiro after Sid Vicious inadvertently shoves Nick Patrick to the mat, Jeff Jarrett hits Sid in the back with a guitar and The Wall hits Sid Vicious with a choke slam for the win. Before the match begins, Jarrett allows Midajah, Kim and Tylene to stay at ringside, and tells them to give Vampiro and Sid Vicious a little something extra if they look their way, then immediately changes his mind and tells them to go back to his dressing room.
