Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for March 3, 2000

Backstage, Mike Awesome calls out Spike Dudley for putting "Judge" Jeff Jones in the hospital and trying to take the ECW World Heavyweight Championship from him, telling him he will kick his ass as their feud is now personal. He plans to give Spike an awesome beating.

Mike Awesome retains the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Spike Dudley following an Awesome Bomb through a table in the corner.

We hear from Masato Tanaka, then Dawn Marie shows up and tells him to shut up. Tanaka says something, then Dawn Marie tells him to learn English. Tanaka then pits his hands on Dawn Marie's face only to get attacked by The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm).

Jack Victory and Steve Corino - dressed like cowboys - are in the ring with Erik Watts, who is wearing the Mid-South Wrestling Heavyweight title. Lou E. Dangerously is in the corner near Erik Watts. Corino says that he was allowed to pick Watts as his opponent tonight because they are a lot alike and that they believe in the same things. They do not believe in putting people through tablesor in the art of getting bashed in the head with a steel chair, or want to bleed for the people. He says that "back in the old-schoool," when Erik's father "Cowboy" Bill Watts was carrying "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and they drew sell-out house shows across Americas, "Cowboy" Bill never went against the old-school philosophy, and for that, he wants to give the people an old-fashioned Texas Bullrope match (which was Dusty Rhodes' specialty). He plans to make Erik Watts bleed and cry as he drags him to all four corners of the ring until he tells Corino that he is the new American Dream, even though the only thing that is saving Erik's life is that he is not "a piece of crap" like the people of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who have a baseball team so pathetic that they are beginning to move to New Jersey and whose greatest hero is "the late Crusher." Corino then says that The Crusher was a closet homosexual and a sexual deviant like the people in the crowd. Suddenly, state-appointed referee H.C. Lopez gets in Corino's face and says he's from Milwaukee, but Corino tells him he's not talking to him. Lopez tells Corino to shut up and get on with his match, as he would not last an hour in Milwaukee. Corino whacks Lopez with the cowbell and busts him poen, and Jack Victory and Erik Watts take the boots to Lopez. Corino tells the people to chant for Dusty all they want, as he stretched all the ligaments in Dusty's knee and forced him to retire last week. He then asks Dusty for one favor: come out of retirement one more time and face him in an old-school style bullrope match, as everyone knows that Dusty is a coward as well as the man who killed Jim Crockett's promotion. Corino says that WWF almost went bankrupt in 1989 due to Dusty, and accuses him of cutting the brake lines on Magnum T.A.'s car. He asks if Dusty is brave enough to face him, then says that when he beats him in his own game and leaves him lying in his own blood, he wants Dusty to tell him he is the new American Dream.

Super Crazy beats Little Guido and Tajiri in a three-way dance.

Cyrus, who calls the three-way dance a ratings killer, sics Rhyno on Super Crazy, and Super Crazy gets Gored for standing up to the network. Cyrus stays that nobody stands up to the network.

Before the next match, Francine says it is wonderful that "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer is apologizing to her tonight and that he has also apologized to Raven as well; however, he DDT'd her on purpose last week, that he knew what he was doing and that he was planning on getting rid of her for months. She then asks if the fans come to see "his ass" or "[her] tits," and the crowd cahtsn "Show your tits!" Francine then says that just like how Pete Rose gambled his career away and wasn't talented enough to make the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, Dreamer is not talented enough to survive in ECW without her as his manager, as she got him over in the company. Francine then asks what Dreamer ever did that made a difference in the company before she started managing him, and says he did nothing without her. She then asks "What about Raven?" and while Dreamer needs her, Raven wants her. Dreamer says that since Raven wants her, she might as well get out of the ring and get out of Cincinnati, Ohio, as not only is she believing his crap, but she is "believing her own bullshit." Francine slaps Dreamer, and almost eats a piledriver until Raven saves her and hit Dreamer with an Evenflow DDT. Raven then leaves with Francine, and Raven has a staredown with Justin Credible as he, Lance Storm and Dawn Marie show up. The Impact Players (Justin and Storm) attack Dreamer as Justin calls Dreamer "a loser just like everybody in Cincinnati." He says that Dreamer does not have a partner in the world now that Francine has left him. Dreamer tries to fight back, but the numbers game quickly catches up to him. Before they can hit Dreamer with a spike piledriver into a steel chair, however, Masato Tanaka runs in and fights The Impact Players. This leads to an impromptu match.

Masato Tanaka and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer beat The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) to become the ECW World Tag Team Champions!
