The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) beat Z&E (DJ Z and Andrew Everett) to become the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions!

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs says "The Machine" Brian Cage walks around like he owns the place and that he can do what he wants without consequence. Jimmy says he is the one who always gets what he wants, and what he wanted is to prove that Cage is beatable. Now he wants to show the world that Brian Cage is no match for Kongo Kong.

We see a video package chronicling the events between Fallah Bahh and KM.

KM shows up. He says he tried to take Fallah Bahh underneath his wing, and when he is here, ratings go up. He says that he is bigger than Impact Wrestling, and that the company should be renamed "KM-Pact Wrestling," as it is all about him and he was trying to make it about him, too. He calls out Fallah Bahh so that he can face him, and Bahh shows up. Fahh pulls out a note from his trunks, then says goodbye to KM and struts away. KM reads the note, which tells him that he is a bully, that he needs to grow up, and that instead of facing him, he will be facing a wrestler on stand-by. KM accepts the challenge, assuming that he is facing "The Stand-By Wrestler" Richard Justice. Instead, he gets Scott Steiner.

Scott Steiner beats KM with the Steiner Recliner.

We see footage of the Slammiversary XVI press conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. During the press conference, Austin Aries announces that he is merging the Impact Grand Championship into the Impact Wrestling World Championship.

It is announced that Impact Wrestling will soon be appearing on 52MX in Mexico starting in July, with details to come on Impact Wrestling's website.

In Boston, Massachusetts, Eddie Edwards tries to return home only to find out he is locked out. He breaks into the home only to find out that the place is empty and barren and that his wife Alisha Edwards is nowhere to be seen. When he looks into a mirror, he sees Sami Callihan looking at him with his thumb pointed downward. He breaks the mirror, blaming Sami Callihan for everything he has lost.

We see camera footage from oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan). Callihan says he is sick and tired of people sticking their noses into their business. He says that they had El Hijo del Fantasma where they had him until Pentagon Jr. showed up, and that they are going to make an example out of him. Tonight, the Crist brothers go to war against El Hijo del Fantasma and Pentagon Jr., and that Pentagon Jr. and El Hijo del Fantasma will get their asses kicked.

Madison Rayne beats Taya Valkyrie. After the match, Madison says it always exciting to come back home to Impact Wrestling, and admits that this has been quite a return as she did not intend to be an in-ring competitor. However, everything happens for a reason, and reasons are meant to be capitalized upon, and in the last couple of weeks, she has been creating career moments by beating some of the toughest women she has ever stepped into an Impact ring with. She then says that management has promised her that if she could defeat Taya, they would give her one more opportunity to make a moment for herself. She says she will take that moment not just for herself, but for her daughter at home as well as the fans who have supported her over the years. At Slammiversary XVI, she will beat Su Yung and become a six-time Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion. Suddenly, Su Yung makes her presence known when the lights go out and a picture of the moon is on the TitanTron, with Su Yung's laughter heard throughout the arena.

At the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse Santana and Ortiz celebrate their tag team title victory with King and Diamante. All of a sudden, Konnan returns, and tells King that they need to talk. King tells Konnan that all five boroughs in New York City have been looking into who took Konnan out of action, and that Homicide is in Brooklyn will call him when he finds anything out. Konnan thinks that King may have something to do with the attack on him, and tells him that his ambitions sometimes overrides his intelligence. Konnan says that if he finds out he has something to do with the attack on him, he will find him unless he somehow jumps off the Earth's gravitational axis and leaps into a black hole.

We find out that the mystery attacker is known as Killer Kross (who has also been known as Kevin Kross). Kross says that fear is a funny thing, as it is meant for the art of survival. Somewhere in society, however, fear became something to be embarrassed about, and that there is a difference between being courageous and being intelligent. Kross says he has a body of work to show, and that the big question that everyone is asking was "Why?" He says that the answer is simply "Why not?" and that there is no continuity in the universe; only mayhem. He encourages everyone to exercise a little fear within the circumstance, as he wants to turn the wrestling industry upside down and divebomb it on its head to see where the pieces fall, for he is the new beginning.

Eddie Edwards suddenly shows up unannounced. He says that he put Sami Callihan in the hospital where he belongs at Redemption, but his job is still not done, because the rest of oVe (Jake Crist and Dave Crist) are not in the hospital yet. He then says that if the Crist brothers do not have the balls to face him in the ring, he will get in a car, drive to Dayton, Ohio and put both of their wives in the intensive care unit. Suddenly, a backstage stand shouts for help, and it is revealed that someone has been knocked out with a red card on top of them, with a circle with an X inside of it on the card.

At the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse, Santana and Ortiz try to figure out what to do next now that Konnan has gone missing and they no longer have the Impact Wrestling tag team titles. Santana says that he and Ortiz have to get in contact with every person that they can, including Homicide, but Ortiz says they should be more focused on the titles so LAX does not fall apart. Santana is not convinced, especially since "King" has not called back.

Allie retains the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship against Taya Valkyrie. After the match, several women sharing the same "undead bride" appearance as Su Yung show up carrying a coffin to the ring. They leave the coffin near the ring, and when Allie leans forward to get a closer look, the lights go out. When they come back on, Su Yung is in the ring. At the hospital, Eddie Edwards looks for his wife Alisha Edwards. He finds her room, where Alisha is resting. Eddie asks Alisha why talk to Sami Callihan, but Alisha asks Eddie why he would leave her here alone. Eddie runs out and finds Sami Callihan, and attacks him in his own hospital bed. Eli Drake and Scott Steiner retain the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) after Eli Drake counters the Street Sweeper by turning his body in mid-air to hit Santana with a cross body. During the match, it is announced that Eddie Edwards has been arrested by the police after his actions at the hospital. Eli then says it is just about time to cash in his chance at the World title, and puts everyone who thinks they might be carrying the World title any time soon on notice, saying he cannot be stopped. Suddenly, Austin Aries shows up. Aries says he did not come here to cause trouble, as his elbow is still in a sling. After Scott Steiner helps him into the ring, Aries says he has the Impact Grand Championship, and that it is the most important title around at the moment as the man makes the belt. Aries then says that every time he has faced Eli Drake, he has always won, and that whether Eli Drake faces him or Pentagon Jr., the World title will be back around his waist. Eli Drake tells Austin Aries that he came out the winner at Redemption, and that it makes no difference to him who the World Champion is as he will take the World title from them, even if the opponent is Austin Aries. Eli then wishes Aries the best of luck in the world, as he wants Aries to come out with the World title when he cashes in. Suddenly, Pentagon Jr. shows up and says she shows zero fear, then Eli Drake and Scott Steiner attack Aries and Pentagon Jr. Pentagon Jr. comes out on top in the brawl, then Austin Aries and Pentagon Jr. fight over the World Championship. Nash tells Russo, Bischoff and The New Blood that the reason The millionaire's Club is full of legends is because they have seen it all, they have heard it all, and most importantly, they have dealt with it all before, and they are still here because they are legend. He then proceeds to show how hard it is to kill a legend by bringing out "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair tells Russo that the current situation must have him thinking overtime, and says that what has transpired two weeks ago will not stop him. He tells David Flair to look around, as he is here and he has nobody behind him, and at The Great American Bash, David's wrestling career will come to a quiet end. He says that Russo tried to bury him, but it did not work, and when he dies, "they will bury [him] quick." He then tells Russo that someway, somehow, he will find him and drag his "skinny little New York ass" to the ring tonight and stomp it dry. Nash then tells Flair that he has a present for him. He says that Flair never lost the championship and that he does not feel right holding the championship while not being the rightful champion. He then announces that as per Vince Russo, Kevin Nash will face Rick Steiner and Tank Abbott in a two-on-one handicap match, and if Scott Steiner gets within five feet of the ring, Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash will be cleaning Russo's toilets next week. Scott Steiner tells Jarrett to tell Russo that talking your way out of problems is "way overrated," and that Jarrett and Russo can come down to the ring right now, bend over and kiss his ass. Jarrett says he is the man with all the stroke here, then tells Flair that he will face him in the ring for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight and take the belt back from him. Flair tells Jarrett that he doesn't have to wrestle anybody, and that he is off tonight. Back in the arena, Candido says there are about ten to fifteen girls including Miss Hancock who don't like or care about or know a thing about the business, and the one that did tried to make the best out a bad situation last week by making a deal with Miss Hancock. He tells Miss Hancock not to stick her nose in his spotlight next time, or else he will not be so nice. He also says that when he comes out and flaunts it, he knows there are other freaks nationwide watching and reaming about getting up on it. He then says that after tonight's show, he will give women the chance to get erotic at his freak show, and all they have to do is separate their hips and put their ass out so he can make them pass out. He then tells Tank Abbott that he will kick his ass in the Asylum at The Great American Bash, then tells Eric Bischoff that he can put Shane Douglas in the ring so he can kick his ass, too.

Russo then brags about all of the new championship winners in The New Blood, then mentions that there was one title that got away from them, and that will all change tonight, as Terry Funk is neither part of The New Blood or The Millionaire's Club; instead, he is "too damn old." He then says that in the WWF, they was a crotchety old man who used to wear a cowboy hat (a reference to Jim Ross) who did everything he could to keep his next guest down. He tells Jim Ross to kiss his ass, then brings out the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett shows up, then tells the fans to never, ever doubt him again as he said it, he did it and the fans are all eating it. Jarrett says that aside from the day his child was born, this is the greatest day of his life, and Jim Ross can kiss his ass. That brings him to Diamond Dallas Page, who he has a proposition for: since The New Blood is about opportunity, he will give him one. Since he was not asked to be in Ready To Rumble, he wants to use the three-tier cage from the movie at Slamboree so he can slap his nuts from the bottom to the top, where the World title will be hanging. All Diamond Dallas Page has to do in their match for the World title is to climb up to the top of the three-tier cage and grab it. Russo then introduces another guest, whom he says may have grabbed the biggest title of all last night: Eric Bischoff. Bischoff shows up with Kimberly, DDP's wife, and says he had so much fun last night seeing Jarrett defeat DDP, as it was beyond all his expectation. He says he told DDP he made him and that he can break him, and he did it in a way that will last for a long time as torturing DDP is nothing but fun for him and that Kimberly is the whip cream on his cake. Kimberly tells DDP that words cannot describe how sorry she is for hitting him with a guitar, as it is a really heavy thing to blow off an 11-year relationship. From day one, however, that relationship has been subjugated to the needs, schedule and opportunities of "D-D-Me." She says she has stood behind DDP and in his shadow all those years, and he made sure that it happened because deep down, DDP really knew that she was the real star. She says she has had opportunity after opportunity in WCW, and she had to say no every single time because DDP said so. She says no more to this, and from last night on, she is going to pay attention to her own needs, schedule and opportunities, and right now, her opportunity is standing right next to her in the form of Eric Bischoff. Bischoff thanks Russo for throwing the party and for supplying security. Outside of the arena, Diamond Dallas Page is stopped by security, but DDP fights them off, gets in the arena and makes his way to the ring. The riot squad allows DDP to get in the ring, but then they attack The New Day blood when they get in. The riot squad is none other than The Total Package, "The Nature Boy" Rick Flair and Sting, who fight The New Blood along with DDP. The New Blood is forced to retreat.

Backstage, Eric Bischoff asks some members of The New Blood where they were when he, Vince Russo and the champions in The New Blood were being attacked. Booker T asks Bischoff what he needs them for, but Bischoff tells him he is getting tired of him, his attitude and his ego. He tells Booker T he has a very short period of time to get on his good side before dismissing everybody and telling them to get it right. Bischoff then tells Russo to get Mike Awesome to beat Diamond Dallas Page up right now. After Russo leaves, four members of security show up and confront Bischoff for telling them that tonight's gig would be easy and not telling them they would be beat up by a bunch of wrestlers. They then tell Bischoff to keep the money, saying they do not need it, and leave. Bischoff then picks up the phone and gets a call from Hulk Hogan, who is now out of jail, telling him he is coming to kick his ass in five minutes.

"The Perfect One" Shawn Stasiak - who comes out to a sound-alike of Curt Hennig's WWF theme - beats Curt Hennig. At the beginning of the match, Miss Hancock shows up to get a closer look at the match. Later in the match, Hennig inadvertently hits both Stasiak and referee Charles Robinson with a forearm, and Robinson is out and unable to count the pinfall attempt after the Hennigplex. Stasiak then finishes Hennig off with The Perfect Plant for the win. After the match, Stasiak beings to attack Hennig. Outside of the arena, a police motorcade is seen heading to the arena, and they stop Hulk Hogan from entering the arena. Hogan says he will getin one day or another, but they soon relent after a staredown and they let him in. Hogan makes his way to the ring as Stasiak continues to attack Hennig, and Hogan tosses Stasiak out of the ring before helping Hennig up.

After the commercial break, Hulk Hogan is in the ring alone. He says that over the lat year, he has listened to what the fans and the critics have to say about him. While he and the rest of the guys are getting older, he has only lost half a step, and he still has something to give to the wrestling business as he is here to lead by example. As far as his role as "lead dog" in the business goes, if there is anybody who wants to come out and take his spot, he is ready to kick their ass. He says that you can mess with the gimmick and make him slip on a banana peel for a three count, and you can make a fool out of him, but when Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo pulled what they did at Nitro last week and at Spring Stampede, they are messing with Terry Bollea, and when they decided to take money out of his pocket and food out of his kids' mouths, they went beyond the line, as he has more heart than anybody in the back. As far as he is concerned, if anyone wants his spot, they had better have it in their blood and they had better be a different kind of wrestler, because he is here until somebody kicks his ass and runs him off. Hogan then talks about Kidman, who he has heard whine and cry to Bischoff and Russo and the other promoters about how he wanted the big push and how he would not leave the hotel room until he knew what they would do with him. He says that Kidman makes him sick, and if Kidman wants his spot, all he has to do is come to the ring and try to take it. He says Kidman called him out last week, and this week, he is calling Kidman out. He also hopes that Bischoff and Russo is watching, then tells Kidman he will kick his out again. We then see Kidman on the TitanTron, saying he is ready for him and that he will not come running when he says "run." When the TitanTron is shown on-screen, Kidman is seen wearing a Hulk Hogan T-shirt with the sleeves cut out, a circle with an X in red spray paint over the "Hulkster" logo and "NB" spray painted underneath. He says that if Hogan wants him, he will have to look for him in the back. Hogan says he is on his way and makes his way to the back as Kidman says this will be a fight, not a wrestling match, and that he will kick his ass all over the place. As Kidman tries to egg Hogan on with Torrie Wilson by his side, Eric Bischoff is seen waiting behind them while leaning on a white Hummer.

Hulk Hogan is seen outside of the arena looking for Kidman.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jeff Jarrett, who demands that he be called "World Champion Jeff Jarrett" as he tells Okerlund to save his questions for somebody who cares. Jarrett says he is seeing The ENw Blood guys crying about opportunity, and says he is all about that. Tonight, he will be hanging up an open contract, and the first person to grab who is not a member of The Millionaire's Club will get a World title shot against him.

Terry Funk retains the WCW Hardcore Championship against The Wall after an unknown peron pushes two tables on top of both of them and Fuk stomps through a table to hit The Wall.

Backstage, Vince Russo is met by Bryan Adams and Bryan Clark, who want a tag team title match. Vince Russo says there is too much gong on tonight for a tag team title match, but Adams tells Russo that he doesn't give a crap about the show or Russo's problems and that they had a deal. They delivered, and demand Russo did the same. Russo admits to promising them a tag tam title shot, but that he did not say it would be tonight and that it will happen when he says so.

The open contract is seen on the dressing room door of Jeff Jarrett. Soemone is seen signing it with a red pen.

After the commercial break, Jeff Jarrett sees the open contract and rips it up, saying Vince Russo is the biggest idiot as he walks into his dressing room.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says he wasn't allowed to be in the building, but he has gotten in and now he has a match with Mike Awesome. After last night, he is just a little pissed off about what happened, and although Eric Bischoff may have gotten to Kimberly, it is not over yet, and he tells BIschoff that if he wants to screw with his personal life, he will leave Awesome leaving and tearing him a new ass. He only hopes that Hulk Hogan does not put Bischoff in the hospital before he does, because that is going to be his job.

Bruce McArthur - whose family has owned the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team for decades - and hockey player "Bad" Bob Probert are seen in the front row.

Backstage, Bryan Adams and Bryan Clarke are seen attacking The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) backstage before the next match, which they insert themselves into. Bryan Adams and Bryan Clark - known by the team name of "Kronik" - then proceed to decimate The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny The Bull) in the ring. Adams tells Vine Russo that this is just a message to him, as they both worked for him before and that he knows he does not want them working against him. He then says all the "WCW badasses" in the locker room have been shaking like a bunch of "sissies at a weenie roast" since Kronik showed up, and if anyone has the horrible luck of having to face them in the ring, they will feel chronic pain, take a chronic beating and live a chronic nightmare. He then says that if Russo continues to drag his feet, he will see what he is talking about.

Vampiro shows up. He has come to send a message to his "brother in paint." He says that Sting knows nothing about pain, and even after what happened last night between them, in which only Sting knows what truly happened when he dragged him underneath the ring, he still knows nothing about pain. Vampiro says that he heard Sting's screams and drew and tasted his blood, and he smelled all of his fear, but that was last night. Tonight is just the beginning, and he has allowed himself just a little taste so he can save the rest. At Slamboree, he will devour Sting and show him what it is like to walk around with his humanity stripped from him just like he does. Suddenly, the lights go out as Vampiro threatens to drag him to Hell and welcome him to his nightmare. Suddenly, Sting rappels down from the top of the arena and attacks a stunned Vampiro with his baseball bat. He pins him to the corner, then says Vampiro looked like somebody just walked over his grave, and says that right now, he feels like "rompin', stompin' graveyard destruction." He then hits Vampiro with the baseball bat multiple times before telling him he learned about pain from the best and that Vampiro is going to grow up quickly. Sting then hits the Scorpion Death Drop on Vampiro, then says WCW runs through his veins and that it is his turf.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan is still looking for Kidman. Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett is irritated with Vince Russo for proposing the idea of the open contract, and Russo tells Jarrett that he will take care of his opponent.

Mike Awesome beats Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification after Chris Kanyon runs into the ring and brawls with Awesome. After the match, Mike Awesome pulls a table out from underneath the ring after coming out on top in the initial brawl, and almost puts Kanyon through the table before Kevin Nash's entrance hits. Instead of coming out through the back, he comes out through the crowd and over the guardrail, and he puts Mike Awesome through the table with a Jackknife Power Bomb.

Backstage, Vince Russo talks to Jeff Jarrett's open contract opponent.

Tank Abbott is backstage, much to the chagrin of Mark Madden.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Buff Bagwell and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. Buff says that he is tired of seeing The Millionaire's Club show them up, as they are The New Blood, it is a new day and they are world tag team champions. He tells The Total Package to watch out, because at Slamboree, he's going down in a singles match, too. Douglas says that for seven years, he has dreamed of getting his hands on "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and Flair has accepted his challenge for a match at Slamboree and he cannot wait. He says he should be the happiest man on the face of the planet right now, but he is not as he cannot get over what happened to him at Thunder last week involving The Total Package. He says that Flair is sticking his nose in the match and costing him, and he wants The Total Package tonight. Suddenly, The Total Package shows up with Miss Elizabeth and tells Douglas that if he wants him tonight, he's got him under the condition that if Vince Russo gets involved before the end of the match, the WCW World Tag Team Championships will be forfeited over to Team Package (The Total Package and Ric Flair).

Tank Abbott shows up. He tells Goldberg that this is not his first barbecue, and that he has fought his whole life and has seen this song and dance before. He shows up, someone wants a piece of him, and they get hurt. He then repeats that until Goldberg shows up and takes him on, he will continue to beat up "innocent idiots" who think Goldberg is a hero He then tells Goldberg he will get someone tonight, and it will be on him. After Abbott leaves the ring, he looks around ringside for someone to beat up in the front row. Suddenly, he stops infront of Bruce MacArthur, owner of the Chicago Blackhawks, and gets him in the ring. Bob Probert gets in the ring and saves MacArthur, and after security shows up, Abbott is escorted from the ring as MacArthur is checked on.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan is still looking for Kidman when Terry Taylor tells him he has seen Kidman outside.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett is met by Vince Russo, who says that Jarrett's opponent still wants the match. Russo asks Jarrett to give him some time so he can get back to him on how he can get Jarrett out of the match.

"The Franchise" Shane Douglas beats The Total Package by disqualification. During the match, Buff Bagwell shows up and grabs The Total Package by the legs, allowing Shane Douglas to hit a low blow. Buff Bagwell then goes Miss Elizabeth while a man in a Sting mask and black wig sitting in the front row hits The Total Package with a baseball bat before doing the same to Shane Douglas. The man then climbs over the guardrail and into the ring before unmasking and revealing himself to be "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. After the match, Vince Russo shows up and gets Shane Douglas out of the ring. Buff Bagwell is then angry at Russo for not showing up sooner, even though that would have cost him and Shane Douglas the WCW World Tag Team Championships.

In the parking garage, Hulk Hogan finds the white Hummer.

Hulk Hogan finally gets his hands on Kidman. Torrie Wilson hits Hulk Hogan with a 2x4, and Kidman tries to take advantage of the distraction only to get laid out by Hulk Hogan again. Meanwhile, Eric Bischoff is seen watching from a distance before Hogan throws Kidman into a dumpster. Hogan then sees Bischoff, who then flees into the white Hummer, which refuses to start. Bischoff then runs up the ramp, and Hogan manages to get the white Hummer started. Hogan then runs the white Hummer into the dumpster a few times in an attempt to crush Kidman before driving up the ramp.

Backstage, Kidman - already placed on a board - is pulled out of the parking lot dumpster by EMTs.

It is revealed that the person who signed the open contract on Jeff Jarrett's locker room door and is taking Jarrett on for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is WCW United States Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner, who is accompanied to the ring by three women.

Jeff Jarrett retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Steiner by disqualification after Booker T hits Scott Steiner with the Ax Kick as Steiner has Jarrett in the Steiner Recliner. After the match, Booker T grabs Jarrett by the head and says "You're welcome, punk!" before leaving.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan is seen wielding a pipe as he is seen looking for Eric Bischoff.

Hulk Hogan finally find Eric Bischoff in the backstage production office and chases him to the ring. The show end with Hogan kicking Bischoff in the groin. Vince Russo shows up with a baseball bat, but Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up with a steel chair. Bret swings the chair, but the intended target is not made clear as the show fades to black.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 20, 2000

In footage from earlier today, Sid Vicious is seen arriving to the arena while greeted by throngs of fans.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious in the ring to start tonight's show. Sid says the weight of the world is off his shoulders, and tells Jeff Jarrett he is not all that smart after spouting out of his mouth for the past few weeks that he would become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, which did not happen. Sid then talks about a time when someone told him that you can take a pig and tie a purple ribbon around its neck, but the pig still a pig. He says that Jarrett is a pig and that he has shown him who the master, ruler and champion of the world is. Before the interview can continue, Jarrett shows up with The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris), and says he is not done with him by a long shot as everyone knows that he beat him three times in the past and that if it weren't for Hulk Hogan, he would be the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett demands another title shot, but knows that Sid will not give him one. He then proposes a tag team match, as he claims that Sid is scared of him and the ground that he walks on. He then says that if he beats Sid, he gets another title shot; if Sid beats him, however, he will never ask for another shot at the World title again. He then brings out his tag team partner for the tonight to show just what Sid is getting himself into: Scott Steiner, who is wearing a piece of tape saying "CENSORED" around his mouth. He removes the tape, then says WCW could not censor him, and tells Sid he will kick his ass tonight and there is nothing he can do it. Sid says he does not need a tag team partner to kick Jeff Jarrett or Scott Steiner's asses; however, it would not be hard to find somebody who would want to tag team with him as there are plenty of people who would want to plant a foot in their asses. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan's music hits, and Hogan shows up. Hogan says Sid "definitely rules the world" and that he knows about "the nWo chumps" out here as he was the baddest man in the nWo until he left the group. He says that Sid has carried the belt well and that he is the man who can get WCW back on track, and if he wants to have him as a partner, he would be glad to kick Jarrett and Scott Steiner's asses. Sid asks Hogan to team with him tonight and help him put an end to the nWo once and for all. Hogan tells Scott Steiner and Jarrett to get ready to have their asses kicked Hulkamaniac style.

Backstage, Team Package (The Total Package, Miss Elizabeth, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair) take offense to Vampiro wanting to take them on and get ready for the big time. The Total Package says he will give Vampiro a taste of the big time, while Flair will be taking Sting out as nobody knows Sting better. Flair says Vampiro made a big mistake last night and that he will fall to The Total Package, and that nobody knows Sting better than him and that Sting will fall at his hands tonight.

Chavo says he wants the belt and the money that goes along with it. He then asks if something nearby belongs to Okerlund, then swipes his wallet while Okerlund is distracted, then leaves.

Paisley and The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea guest on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, "Hard Knox" Chris Candido tells everyone to take a good, long, hard look at "the greatest example of a pure professional wrestler in this sport today," as he does not have a gimmick, a ridiculous costume, a stupid catchphrase or a trashy valet, as he comes from the school of hard knocks and that he had to earn everything. As Candido talks about how he was once in a 10-on-1 handicap match, Lash Leroux dropkicks him in the back, starting the next match.

"Hard Knox" Chris Candido beats Lash Leroux in his debut match in WCW.

XS (Lenny Lane and Rave) see Miss Hancock backstage, and ask what she meant when she said that she found a couple of "real men." Miss Hancock says they will see this Wednesday night on Thunder, and that not only do the ladies due to the two studs she has in mind, but that XS could take some pointers from them. She then says that the two men in question are "Latin America's most desirable men, Los Fabulosos."

Before the next match, La Parka (through a dubbed voice heard throughout the arena) gives Fit Finley a chance to leave the ring before he "busts his Lucky Charms ass." It soon becomes apparent from La Parka's mannerisms as well as when La Parka begs Fit Finley off that somebody else is doing voiceovers for him.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews David Flair and Daffney in the ring. David Flair pulls a table out from underneath the ring and sets it up, then heads into the ring. David says he has just heard from the hospital that Crowbar and Bam Bam Bigelow is sharing a room and that there is one bed left. He demands that The Wall come to the ring so he can put him through a table right now. The Wall shows up, and Okerlund hightails it out of the ring. David Flair fights The Wall with a crowbar, but The Wall grabs him by the throat to say something to him. He lets David go, then attacks him from behind, gets him on the apron and tries to choke slam David through the table, which he does when Daffney spraying a fire extinguisher in his face proves completely ineffective. WCW and arena security immediately move into place to tell The Wall to go to the back as a trainer and referee Nick Patrick check on David Flair.

Brian Knobbs tells us not to do what we see on television at home.

He welcomes Vampiro to the major leagues, then tells him to "get [his] ass out here." When Vampiro shows up, however, he shows up from behind and sneak attacks The Total Package, getting the next match started.

The Total Package beats Vampiro. During the match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and gets on the apron, but gets hit by a back elbow from Vampiro. As referee Mickey Jay is dealing with Flair, The Total Package hits Vampiro in the head with a bat and puts him in the Torture Rack for the win. After the match, Flair and The Total Package stomp Vampiro, then Sting runs in and makes the save for Vampiro, forcing Flair and The Total Package to run away.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jeff Jarrett in The New World Order's dressing room. Jarrett says he has done it before and he will do it again, and after the night is over, he will walk out of the arena with a World title shot. He also says that if anyone thought last night was uncensored, then tonight will be truly uncensored. Scott Steiner says Okerlund is only happy becuase WCW tried to censor and suspend him, and says it is hard to keep a good man down and harder to keep a hard man down. He then tells Hogan that he only held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship while in The New World Order because he had guys like him watching his back. Scott Stiener then says that tonight, he will prove that he is the guy with the largest arms in the world and a genetic freak, and that he will kick Hogan's ass and that there is nothing Hogan can do about it.

He says that Curt Hennig might not be as hold as Terry Funk, as disgusting as Diamond Dallas Page, as desperate as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper or as laughable as Hulk Hogan, but he has made his list, and he will learn what it means to come face-to-face with "The American Nightmare" and bite the dust.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 3, 2000

A Lear jet lands in the airport at Greenville, South Carolina. It is announced that a brand new WCW Commissioner will be announced as WCW Executive Vice President Bill Busch's office tries to keep the new nWo in check.

Before the next match, Mike Rotunda calls the crowd "losers," then talks about the Clemson Tigers, saying they don't deserve to wear the color orange. Kevin Sullivan then guests on commentary for the next match.

The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) beat Buzzkill and Mike Rotunda to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery Tag Team Tournament. During the match, Standards and Practices (Lenny Lane and Lodi) show up with with their assistant (whose name is Miss Hancock), and give Leia Meow a hard time by covering her up with one of their coats. Kevin Sullivan and Mike Rotunda fight them off in the aisle, but this leaves Buzzkill high and dry and allow The Harris Boys to get the win. After the match, Sullivan and Rotunda fight off The Harris Boys but are easily overpowered.

It is announced that a new WCW Commissioner will be named later tonight due to the actions of the nWo last week. It is also announced that Sid Vicious has only suffered compressed vertebrae in his neck, and with proper rest, he will be cleared to face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Souled Out.

A black limousine with the WCW logo on the back window is seen in the parking lot. Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett of the nWo are seen watching this backstage from a monitor, and Scott Steiner says they don't give a damn about the new commissioner. Jarrett says that won't happen, and Kevin Nash says the name for the new commissioner is "a toss-up between Orson Bean and "The Z Man" Tom Zenk." Jarrett then asks where Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is, then Bret is seen entering the building. All of a sudden, Bret is attacked from behind by Sid Vicious, who is wearing a neck brace.

After the break, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner check on Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. When paramedics approach, they attack them. (One of the paramedics is the future Air Styles, who would be in the company the following year and find greater fame as "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.) We then see a police motorcade surrounding a limousine on Interstate 85.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. Diamond Dallas Page finds out he has his match with Buff Bagwell at Souled Out, and it will be a Last Man Standing match. Suddenly, Curt Hennig shows up and tells DDP that the powers that be need him in the ring tonight. DDP says he has no problem with that.

PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) show up before the next match, J.C. Ice says that when PG-13 get in the ring, they have something to talk about, but since they are in Greenville, South Carolina, they have nothing to talk about. They proceed to make fun of a fan's looks Wolfie D introduces PG-13 through hip hop verse. Diamond Dallas Page then runs in and makes quick work of PG-13, then he leaves through the crowd as Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner make their way to the ring. The two of them get in the ring, and Kevin Nash pins J.C. Ice while hooking the tights to win, then Scott Steiner spray paints "NWO" on J.C. Ice while Nash does the same to Wolfie D. The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) beat PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament.

Jeff Jarrett and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart approach the ring with baseball bats and guitars.

We see the police motorcade surrounding the commissioner's limousine outside in downtown Greenville, South Carolina.

The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) shows up. Bret talks about how he was attacked backstage by Sid Vicious, and says Sid "didn't get the number of that truck last week" and is now playing petty games with him. Bret calls himself the company's best champion and the best wrestler to put on a pair of tights, and says he has gotten no respects. He says everyone knows what happens when he doesn't get any respect, and he tells Sid he will take Sid out at Souled Out by bashing his skull in and beating him to a pulp like he deserves. He talks about Sid talking about how this is his time, and says this is his time, not Sid's, as he is the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be. He will prove that at Souled Out, and says the nWo can have the night off from here on in, as he will have some fun tonight. He then hands the microphone over to Jarrett, tells Sid Vicious that if Bret wasn't so hot at him, he would be kicking his ass, and that he might as well kill two slapnuts with one stone. He says his match with "The Canadian Crippler' Chris Benoit will be a three-time ass-whipping by torturing him in the Dungeon Match before manhandling him in the Bunkhouse Brawl, then he will come off the top in the Caged Heat Match. He tells Benoit he should be glad he is in Japan tonight, then says Sid Vicious is here alone tonight. Kevin Nash says the nWo rears its sexy head one more time, and WCW had decided to appoint a Commissioner just to make rules they are going to break. He tells WCW Executive Vice President Bill Busch it is a new millennium but things have not changed and they are still the same sons of bitches they have always been. Scott Steiner says he thought he was going to come out here to retire again, but he does not feel like getting misty eyed two weeks in a row. Last week, when he feigned being injured and shed a tear, the people wanted to like him and did not want him to go, but says the feeling is not mutual. He does not see his fans in the crowd, as his fans are educated, wear a suit and tie and are out on Wall Street. He then calls the Greenville, South Carolina crowd "a bunch of gas pumpin', tobacco chewin', inbred white trash." He tells them to boo him all they want, as he does not give a damn, as Goldberg and Sid Vicious are no match for them. He then tells the fans to stand up and bow down to the greatest athletes in the world in the nWo, then kiss their asses.

The police motorcade with the Commissioner's limousine is at the back of the building.

Stevie Ray guests on commentary for the next match.

David Flair and Crowbar beat Lash LeRoux and Midnight to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, Stevie Ray grabs Midnight by the leg and drags her out of the ring, then hits her. Tony Marinara, Disco Inferno, Johnny The Bull and Big Vito then show up as Booker T runs to ringside and confronts Stevie Ray only to be smacked with a slapjack as he checks on Midnight. Lash LeRoux has the match won, but Johnny and Big Vito attack Lash LeRoux behind the referee's back before Crowbar drags David Flair on top of Lash for the win.

The Total Package - dressed like Sting - is seen approaching the ring with Miss Elizabeth.

The new WCW commissioner's limousine is still parked at the back of the building.

Lash LeRoux confronts Disco Inferno backstage only to be attacked by Johnny The Bull and Big Vito as Disco explains himself.

The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth show up to Sting's entrance theme. The Total Package pretends to be Sting, saying the last time he faced The Total Package, he annihilated him, and that there is a no-name wrestler line dup for a match with him tonight so he can redeem himself and protect his reputation. That "no-name wrestler" happens to be Tank Abbott, who approaches the ring. The Total Package tries to beg for mercy, but Miss Elizabeth maces Abbott in the eyes. The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth leave, then Jerry Flynn runs in and attacks Abbott as he is blinded, but as The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth try to leave, they see a black crow near the rmap.

Security gets in front of the WCW Commissioner's limousine to keep The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) from attacking the limousine with baseball bats.

WCW Championship Committee representative Rob Garner shows up. As a spokesman for the Executive Vice President of WCW, Bill Busch, he is here tonight to deliver a message. Since the writers with iron-clad contacts have come to WCW, the company has been in constant struggle, and it has been a constant power struggle between the powers that be and Bill Busch since day one. Two weeks ago, the powers that be swerved the entire world and reformed the nWo. Tonight, things will be a little bit different as all those people they have depended on the past cannot help WCW at this time, like Sting and Goldberg, as they are at home nursing injuries. All along, Bill Busch knew there was one man with the power and knowledge to bring WCW out of the situation it is in, and in the end, if all else fails, he will have to go hardcore on them. He then introduces the man who made hardcore fashionable when he first set foot into a wrestling ring as well as the new WCW Commissioner: Terry Funk. Terry Funk shows up with a group of security guards who then surround the ring, then takes the microphone. He tells the people that he accepted the job as Commissioner of World Championship Wrestling because he loves real professional wrestling, real pain, real desire, real dedication and the real personalities of professional wrestling, not the paper tigers that are created by the powers that be. As far as the nWo is concerned, they are just "a bunch of fat hogs following along behind the slop wagon," except Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara are not throwing out slop; instead, they are throwing out easy money. What he would like to do to Russo and Ferrara is stick a skyrocket up their exhaust and "blow their damn brains out," but he cannot do that without help from an enforcer, and he wantw that enforcer to come down to the ring. That enforcer is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, who shows up. The crowd chants "We want Falri!" He asks the powers that be if they hear that, then says he sees a lot of familiar faces in the crowd, and whether they love him or hate him, it is real emotion that he earned by dumping a gallon of blood in the arena on any given night. He says Russo and Ferrara know nothing about that, as he did not script all the blood and guts he gave when the fans saw him. This is why he he can walk through the dressing rooms without looking over his shoulder while living in an ivory tower and sending people to do his bidding, as he is man enough to do what he wants to do himself, as does Terry Funk. He says somebody recognized that when he was put back to work, and guys like Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara try to get rid of guys like him because they never had to guts to do it face-to-face. If anyone thinks the nWo will crank up on its own and run roughshod again, you are out of your mind, and if anyone wants them out of the business, they will have to drag them out of the ring by the balls of their feet. Suddenly, The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner). Bret says some guys do not know when to quit, and though Terry Funk was so over the hill that he was broken down on the other side, but here he is\, still kicking. He syas this is still a classy way for Funk to go, as he can go in style with him and the nWo. He may have security protecting him, but he can go the easy way or the hard way, and it is only a matter of time. Funk tells Bret he has all the time in the world, and that he is not going anywhere as Bret will not beat him and he will not allow himself to be eaten, as he is the commissioner and he will see that Bret is beaten at Souled Out. He will put a couple of stipulations on his match: if the nWo comes down to ringside and causes a disqualification, he will automatically lose the WCW World Heavyweight Championship; also, there will be a special guest referee who will do justice to WCW, and that man will be "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, who accepts the position. Anderson tells Bret that if he even gets half an inch out of line, he will not be the only one wearing stripes. As far as the rest of the nWo is concerned, Jarrett will get a chance to "kick big Sid's ass" tonight, as he will face Sid Vicious in a Powerbomb Match with the WCW United States Championship on the line. Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner will be going for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, and while he may be middle aged and crazy, he will msee to it that they get screwed. Kevin Nash says he thought Funk was dead. Funk says he is a dead man walking, and Nash says that can be arranged. He compares Terry Funk and Arn Anderson to Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, and says "The Enforcer" has dead and died of tuberculosis. He says their days are days are over and numbered, and he can make all the threats he wants, but they will do things their way and they can go through everybody in two seconds. He then mentions David Flair is running around half-crazy, then proposes playing the nWo way, as they make the rules, not Funk and Anderson. Funk dares Nash to get in the ring, and Nash tells Funk he is a dead man.

WCW Commissioner Terry Funk is seen talking to security, telling them to look for David Flair. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson talks to Funk. Funk tells Anderson that Anderson's problems are his problems, and that he will make sure they get through them together.

Before the next match, Chris "Champagne" Kanyon says he has been to Hollywood, and that Greenville, South Carolina. He says Buff has done the same and made movies, and his movies suck. Luckily for them, Buff is a better wrestler than he is an actor, and for that, he helped him advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship, and offers him his champagne in appreciation. Bagwell takes the champagne, then says Greenville is Hollywood and that the town thinks Kanyon sucks. He does not like champagne, and unfortunately for Kanyon, and Greenville does not drink it. He then smashes the bottle of champagne on Kanyon's head. "Screamin'" Norman Smiley then shows up as Grrruff, the mascot of the Greenville Gruff of the East Coast Hockey League. Meanwhile, a trainer helps Kanyon to the back along with Kanyon's entourage.

Buff Bagwell beats "Screamin' Norman Smiley and Asya single-handedly to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament after Smiley inadvertently nails Asya in the head with the had of the Grrruff costume. After the match, the rest of The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko) show up and attack Bagwell, then they have to keep both Saturn and Asya apart . Suddenly, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan runs into the ring and fights off The Revolution. Saturn grabs Hacksaw's 2x4 and attacks him with it, then the numbers game catches up until Konnan and Kidman run into the ring, causing The Revolution to retreat.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and WCW Commissioner Terry Funk are frantically looking for David Flair. Meanwhile, the nWo (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) are also looking for David Flair.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and WCW Commissioner Terry Funk are still looking for David Flair, as the nWo (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) Daffney catches up with Funk and Anderson.

The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) beat The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, Scott Steiner guests on commentary, and Kevin Nash goes to the tabelfor a baseball bat. As the referee is dealing with Nash, The Varsity Club (Kevin Nash and Mike Rotunda) attack The Harris Boys with steel chairs before tossing one of them back into the ring. Scott Steiner then tags in and makes the pinfall with one of his knees while flexing his muscles.

WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson find out from Daffney that David Flair does not want to talk to anybody, even as they explain what is going on to her. As Daffney leaves, she is grabbed from behind by Jeff Jarrett.

As Buff Bagwell is heading to the ring, Chris "Champagne" Kanyon is about to attack Bagwell when Bam Bam Bigelow catches up to him and scoop slams him into a table off the side of the stage before heading to the back. Kanyon's entourage checks on Kanyon before David Flair and Crowbar show up. Vampiro then shows up, saying that he does not like Bagwell and that he is only here due to business he has with David Flair. Vampiro becomes Buff Bagwell's tag team partner for the next match.

David Flair and Crowbar beat Buff Bagwell and Vampiro to advance in the Lethal Lottery New Year's Evil World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up and try to talk to David Flair. Vampiro suddenly confronts Anderson, telling him to stay out of his match, but Funk grabs Vampiro and ebeats him up before tossing him back into the ring before telling Flair to get in the ring. Flair crawls into the ring as Bagwell hits Vampiro with a Buff Blockbuster and walks out, and Flair makes the cover to take himself and Crowbar to the finals against The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner).

Shortly after the previous match, The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) show up with Daffney, who is being held against her will by Jarrett. Scott Steiner says the Falir has surrounded themselves with ugly women and says Daffney is uglier than David Flair's mother, then asks who will get to her first, David Flair and Crowbar or The New World Order. They then leave with Daffney while Crowbar and David Flair head to the back.

David Flair angrily looks for Daffney along with Crowbar backstage.

Sid Vicious beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification in a Powerbomb Match. Members of Team Power Plant from The Power Plant (the training facility to World Championship Wrestling) are seen in the front row during the match. During the match, Jeff Jarrett inadvertently slides into the referee, tripping him up before Sid Vicious can hit Jarrett with a powerbomb. Sid helps the referee up, but as Sid goes for another powerbomb, Bret "The Hit Man' Hart shows up and hits Sid in the small of the back with a baseball bat. Jarrett takes the baseball bat and smacks it into Sid's back, then Bret sprays "NWO" on Sid's back with silver spray paint. As EMTs show up and check on Sid, Bret and Jarrett attack them. The EMTs then get "NWO" spray painted on their backs in silver. Jeff Jarrett retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.

David Flair and Crowbar are frantically looking for Daffney backstage.

David Flair and Crowbar beat The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) to win the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament and become the WCW World Tag Team Championships! During the match, Scott Steiner guests on commentary again as Kevin Nash beats up David Flair and Crowbar while a fan mouths off at Steiner. Afterwards, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson shows up in a referee's shirt alongside WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and WCW security. WCW security and Terry Funk confront Scott Steiner while Anderson hits Kevin Nash in the back with David Flair's golden crowbar, then places David Flair on top of Nash to give him and Crowbar the win, the tournament victory and the tag team titles. After the match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Jeff Jarrett show up with Daffney. Jarrett kicks David Flair, then David hits Anderson with his golden crowbar. Daffney reunites with David Flair and Crowbar, then Terry Funk checks on Anderson before Scott Steiner attacks Funk with a baseball bat before throwing Funk into the ring, where WCW security has been laid out. Funk starts fighting back, but Scott Steiner hits Funk with a low blow before Jarrett hits Anderson in the ribs with a couple of baseball bats and taking him to the back with Bret. As Anderson continues to be attacked, Nash lays Funk out with a Jackknife Power Bomb before Bret and Jarrett throws Anderson into the trunk of their Cadillac. Jarrett says if they have to run their car over, they will do what they did to Sid Vicious last week as Scott Steiner joins them at the Cadillac. Nash shows up soon afterwards, then The New World Order drives off to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 12, 1999

Note: Surge is plugged for the entire episode.

The show starts with "Macho Man" Randy Savage thanking Diamond Dallas Page for becoming WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Savage tells DDP that he owes him a title shot, and Gorgeous George tells him "and don't you forget it." After Savage and Gorgeous George leave, DDP is attacked from behind with a steel chair by Scott Steiner, who tells him that he is nothing and that he will get even as far as DDP and his wife Kimberly are concerned.

Sting shows up. He says that it is good to be back in black. He says so many have tried and failed to put him out of wrestling over the years, and that it will never happen as he has cat's eyes and nine lives and he is here to stay. Many are overnight sensations, many are world champions, and many have power "where it lies," but there's only one Sting, and that he is the only one who has not built the house, but been here through thick and thin. He says the WCW house is his backyard and his turf, and if any one man said he built the house, it would have to be him, as it sure wasn't built by Diamond Dallas Page. Sting cuts to the chase, and says he will shake it up tonight by calling DDP out, and if DDP has anything hanging between his legs, he will be waiting.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera by disqualification after "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko toss Juvi out of the ring and attack Rey. Raven and Perry Saturn rush into the ring and send Benoit and Malenko packing. Rey shoves Raven and Saturn off afterwards, apparently not wanting their help.

Jimmy Hart and Hugh Morrus are met by Hak and Chastity backstage. Hak says he will do them a favor and show Hugh Morrus how to beat Bam Bam Bigleow, and he does that by hitting Hugh Morrus in the head with a kendo stick. This has no effect on Morrus, who laughs, says "Like this?", takes the kendo stick and whacks a random backstage worker behind him repeatedly with it.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Hugh Morrus in a Kendo Stick Match. After the match, Jimmy Hart tries to hit Bam Bam in the back with a Kendo Stick, but it has no effect and Bam Bam chases Jimmy Hart to the back.

Rey Mysterio Jr. speaks with Kidman, who is here from a personal appearance, and mentions "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko attacking him earlier in the show. Kidman reminds Rey he has his back, but WCW has him running around everywhere and that he won't always be able to watch his back all the time.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says that he "was not supposed to happen," and that either he is dreaming, or he is really WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He says "sorry about the leg" to Hollywood Hogan, and says that he wanted Hogan to be in there with Sting and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair when he had his hand raised, and when he was taken out of the match, it killed him. As far as Sting is concerned, nobody understands Sting more than him as they have a connection and thrive on competition. DDP says he sees a lot of him in Sting and knows what he wants, and says he deserves a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight. The problem is, he cannot give it to him tonight, as he has other things on his mind. Right now, he is in control and he is calling the shots. Tonight in the main event, he wants Scott Steiner, as there is unfinished business between them and he plans to show him that size doesn't matter when he kicks his teeth in.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and referee Charles Robinson. It is announced by Tony Schiavone that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is backstage tonight as Flair, Anderson and Robinson make their way to the ring. Flair says he cannot help but be enthralled by how tonight is playing out with Sting challenging Diamond Dallas Page to a World title match without talking to him as well as DDP challenging Scott Steiner to a match. Flair says that he has no choice but to hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship up. Shortly after Flair makes this proclamation, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Gorgeous George. Savage shows up with a piece of paper, and says that the WCW Executive Committee not only wrote what is on it and signed off on it, but so did Flair, and that the decision of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match is final. Savage tells Flair that his world is crumbling down on him, but Flair tells Savage that he is not reinstated and that he will never wrestle in WCW again as he does not want Savage to get the jump on him, and asks him who's world is crumbling now. As Flair tears the paper up, Robinson says he is areferee and Savage is not, and that Savage is not qualified to referee a match, much less a Four Horseman's match, and asks why Savage had "[his] bimbo" Gorgeous George out last night. Gorgeous George slaps Robinson in the face, and Flair tells Savage to move down the aisle while he still can. Savage challenges Flair to a match at Slamboree, and puts forward a match between his girl and "Flair's girl" Charles Robinson, and if Gorgeous George wins, he is reinstated. Flair tells Savage he has a deal, and says Robinson will beat Gorgeous George with the Figure Four Leg Lock. Savage says Gorgeous George with the big elbow. Suddenly, Sting shows up, and since "Diamond Dallas Trash" is dodging him and Flair won't reinstate Savage, he wants Flair in a match right now. Anderson tells Sting that Flair is not afraid of him, and that Flair will take the match and he will be with him. Sting says he's got more than enough to go around for Flair and Anderson, and calls Flair a punk. Flair and Sting then get in each other's faces as they froth in excitement over their match later on tonight.

La Parka and El Dandy vs. The Master Blasters (two unknown men with pantyhose on their head who are accompanied by Jimmy Hart who are not related to the original team of Kevin Nash and Al Green - Steel and Blade, respectively - from 1990 and 1991) ends when Kevin Nash shows up during the match with a microphone and stops the match, saying he has something to say and asks all four men to leave the ring. Nash ends up taking down all four men when none of them listen. He then shows us footage of the video screen of his sudden meeting with Hollywood Hogan last week. He says that the business at hand with him and WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is that if Hogan walked out with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, then he would get a title shot at Slamboree. He tells Diamond Dallas Page that he hopes he makes it to Slamboree with the title as what he did to Hogan last night was wrong and that he will pay the price Wolfpac style.

Kidman beats Psychosis.

We see a teaser for a secret WCW club called the "Slam Society."

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Goldberg. Goldberg says that ever since he made his debut in WCW, he has destroyed every single person in his path, but he has made a couple of mistake. As he built his record to 174-0, he got screwed, but after last night, he feels vindicated. Goldberg then addresses Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and says that while Bret may announced his retirement, he is out of his mind. He says that Bret should also be out of the country, as he will come looking for him. When he had the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he was hunted, but he is now the hunter and he will find Bret. He then addresses Lex Luger, and says he has stuck his nose in his business for the last time, and he will knock his face off the next time he sees him. As for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he does not care who has it because he will get it, even if it is Diamond Dallas Page (whom he congratulates), and says he doesn't have to have the belt to be the champion.

Booker T retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Rick Steiner. During the match, referee Johnny Boone is briefly knocked down, and Stevie Ray shows up and whacks Rick Steiner from behind with the slap jack to give Booker T the win.

Scott Steiner shows up and says that finding a pretty woman in Yakima, Washington is like finding a needle in a haystack, but he refuses to let this town get the best of him as he will find himself a freak. He then says that he will be the only champion after tonight, as Diamond Dallas Page did not impress him by becoming World champion as he is not big, strong and smart enough to be a man like him because he is white trash. After the match, he will take DDP's wife Kimberly, making her feel the real deal and learn that size does matter, and he will take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Goldberg beats Kenny Kaos.

Sting beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair after "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes down "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to keep him from giving Flair leverage during the Figure Four Leg Lock and Sting reverses a vertical suplex into the Scorpion Death Drop. After Sting gets the win once he makes a reluctant Charles Robinson make the count, Sting attacks Anderson when he comes after him and puts him in the Scorpion Death Lock.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper guests on commentary for the next match. When Diamond Dallas Page makes his way to the ring, he is accompanied by his wife Kimberly, who is seen for the first time since tumbling out of a car prior to SuperBrawl IX. Page helps her to a seat at ringside, then gets into the ring.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Steiner. During the match, Scott Steiner pushes Diamond Dallas Page into referee Randy Anderson as DDP goes for a Diamond Cutter, then kicks DDP in the groin. He then goes to the commentary table, pulls a pair of bolt cutters out of the United States title and removes a cover from a top turnbuckle. He rams DDP into the exposed bolt, both head- and back-first, before putting DDP in the Steiner Recliner. Anderson is still down, however, and when DDP goes for a backslide pin, Scott Steiner kicks him in the groin again. Steiner then goes for the Steiner Recliner again, but DDP headbutts Scott Steiner in the groin again. Kimberly jumps the guardrail and hits Scott Steiner in the head with a steel chair, and DDP hits the Diamond Cutter to win the match.
