Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 21, 2026

General Manager Robert Stone tells a referee that Tony D'Angelo and Naraku cannot touch each other before the main event. Thea Hail shows up, then Nattie shows up saying she will tap Jaida Parker out. Stone leaves before Thea Hail is able to say what she has to say.

DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) beats Saquon Shugars, Noam Dar and Romero Moreno in a six-man tag match. Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox have to be held back after the match.

Lizzy Rain, Skylar Raye, Jaida Parker, Thea Hail, Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair talk about their matches and current plans in the women's locker room. Thea with Jaida luck with Nattie tonight.

Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair head to the ring. They are soon joined by Lola Vice. Kendal says she is glad that Lola wants to face her again, and Lola says that she is not done running the women's division and that "Vice City" continues to grow. Kendal says Lola became everything everyone said she could be, then ran into her. She says that Kendal was right when she said she saw a champion, but Lola saw someone who needed validation when she looked at Kendal. Kendal says she does not need validation, as the NXT Women's Championship is validation, and that she did not need years to prove she belonged here. Lola says Kendal got here fast, then wants to know how fast Kendal will fall. Lola says she knows her worth, and that Kendal is shy, weak and vulnerable. Kendal says she is honest with herself and the fans, and says that there is not a woman in the back who can match her. Lola says Kendal beat her once in a match, but not in a fight. Wren Sinclair is hesitant, and Kendal knows where Lola is going. Kendal tells Lola to think about it, as she will be exposed if she goes where she is taking her. Lola gives Kendal a week to train for an NXT Underground match, then says she will send Kendal to the mat. Kendal says she will beat Lola's ass and send her back to "shakin' it."

We see a video package chronicling the events between Tony D'Angelo and Naraku leading to tonight's street fight for the NXT Championship.

Keanu Carver beats Hank Walker. After the match, Carver attacks Hank, and when Tank tries to stop him, Carver sends him into the announce table. Carver grabs the top of a set of ring steps, but EK Prosper shows up out of the crowd and drop kicks Carver. Hank and Tank double-team Carver back in the ring, and EK Prosper gets the last word on Carver from the top rope.

Backstage, Nattie (along with Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic) meets with Thea Hail about inviting her to "The Dungeon," saying she has worked wonders for Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons and that Thea can either be a legend like her or "a soft bitch" like Jaida Parker. Thea says she has no problem with Jaida; it is Nattie she does not like. Karmen tells Thea that she will reject this as she, Nikkita and Nattie leave. Thea genuinely hopes that Nattie gets her teeth punched in.

In footage from last night, Shiloh Hill meets Danhausen. Shiloh asks for Danhausen's help with Tristan Angels and mentions that Tristan smashed his tooth. Danhausen hands Shiloh a tooth, but says adhesive will cost a lot of human monies. Shiloh pays Danhausen in Bitcoin. Danhausen takes the Bitcoin payment, then tries to put it in his computer.

Jaida Parker beats Nattie by referee stoppage. As Jaida has Nattie in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring, Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons fight over the white towel in Nikkita's hand. All of a sudden, the towel is thrown into the ring, and Nattie looks at Nikkita and Petrovic only to see Thea Hail at ringside. An alternate camera shot of what happened at the end of the match shows that Thea Hail suddenly showed up, took the towel away, and threw it in the ring. Nattie is embarrassed.

In tonight's NXT Spotlight, we see the events from last week that have led to tonight's street fight for the NXT Championship between Naraku and Tony D'Angelo.

Backstage, Kelani Jordan meets with General Manager Robert Stone, who is on the phone again, saying that she kicked out before the three count, but Stone says the referee's decision is final. Kelani leaves, then OTM shows up. Bronco Nima being part of Los Perros del Mal in AAA and one-half of NXT leads to complications as to what matches Bronco Nima will be in on the weekend of NXT Heatwave.

Shawn Spears beats Niko Vance by disqualification. During the match, Lizzy Rain shows up and brawls with Izzi Dame, and as this goes on, Shawn Spears hit the mat with the chair and tosses the chair to Niko Vance before lying down on the mat behind the referee's back. When the referee turns around, Niko Vance has the chair and Spears is lying on the mat. The referee calls for the bell and gives Spears the win via disqualification, and multiple referees have to hold Vance back after the match.

Backstage, Kam Hendrix tells General Manager Robert Stone that he is not yet medically cleared. Myles Borne and Tavion Heights show up, and Myles Borne wants a tag team title match, saying that he will defend the North American title next week if he can get the match. Myles wants Hendrix, but says that Hendrix's hurt leg is attached to a coward. Kam Hendrix suddenly gets a text from the medical team stating that he is clear. Stone tells Myles that he has his tag team title match, and that he has his North American title match next week. Kam Hendrix says he will see Myles Borne next week.

We hear from Reina Volcan, who says that people mistake beauty for weakness. She says that NXT will suffer, not survive, her.

Reina Volcan beats Skylar Raye by submission with a backbreaker rack in her NXT debut.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone is met by Shiloh Hill. Shiloh Hill says that Tristan Angels embarrassed him by destroying his tooth, and that the fog is coming and that Tristan needs to be put down. Stone gives Shiloh a match with Tristan next week, and Shiloh thanks him before taking all of the KFC Popcorn Chicken on the desk on his way out.

A black SUV pulls up in the parking lot, and the back door of the SUV opens.

Tony D'Angelo retains the NXT Championship against Naraku in a street fight after blocking Naraku's poison mist with his hands and getting it in Naraku's eyes before putting Naraku through a table with Dead to Rights on top of some ring steps. After the match, Mike Santana - now out of TNA and signed to WWE - shows up in the crowd and stares down D'Angelo to end the show.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 7, 2026

Kali Armstrong is in the ring to start tonight's show. She says she does not call herself "The Difference Maker" for no reason, and says that last week got to her after she watched Kendal Grey win the NXT Women's Championship. The only thing that went through her head as everyone cheered for Kendal was "There's my target," and says that she has been in the locker room and has heard it all about how some women do not get opportunities while others get them and blow it. Kali then says that once she flipped on Kendal Grey, everyone started talking about her, and that it was a matter of when, and not if, she leads the women's division and gets the NXT Women's Championship, and she has something for Kendal and Nattie. Lola Vice suddenly shows up and tells Lola Vice to slow her roll, and says that Kali did not do something just because she jumped Kendal, which she says makes Kali impatient. Lola also mentions she has yet to get her rematch. Lola says she will also be watching and that she will get her title back, and as Kali states that she will also be watching, Kelani Jordan shows up and says that neither of them are entitled to a championship match. Kelani says she did what one is supposed to do and earned an opportunity, yet nobody is talking about her and everyone is talking about Tatum Paxley, then says the title conversation revolves around her. Lola finally has it with Kelani, and Kelani punches Lola. Kali jumps in and clotheslines them both.

Dorian Van Dux and "Super" Sean Legacy beat Birthright (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Uriah Connors, DarkState (Cutler James and Osiris Griffin) and OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) in a NXT Tag Team Championship #1 contender's Fatal 4-Way match During the match, Saquon Shugars is seen watching the match from backstage before heading out with a baseball bat in his hands. Saquon later shows up, and Dion Lennox appears to cut him off. OTM has a brawl that heads to the back with Stacks and Charlie Dempsey, and that allows Van Dux and Legacy to double-team Connors to win the match and the title shot.

Tonight's NXT Spotlight sees Jaida Parker talking about her feud with Nattie that has seen her tap out to the Sharpshooter. Jaida says she has beaten Karmen Petrovic, then says that she is close to where she wants to be and that Nattie is only her to make her career relevant again, which has gotten Nattie a shot at the NXT Women's CHampionship. Jaida also says both she and Nattie are trying to level up, and that for her to level up, she has to put Nattie down.

Backstage, Emily Agard interviews Saquon Shugars. Saquon says DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) played a ruse on him, yet learned something from him, then says he is playing chess while they play Hungry Hungry Hippos and that they get scared when he pulls over. Saquon says this is not over and that he may have to find some friends, even though nobody trusts him at the moment and he will have to prove that he has changed. He says that DarkState will learn that he is up next and that they are up never.

Keanu Carver beats Tank Ledger.

We hear from Naraku, who says that he will not just accept defeat and walk away after The Great American Bash. He says Tony D'Angelo has gotten the win, but has not escaped his punishment, and that he will break his will and spirit. Naraku then asks D'Angelo how far he will go to keep the NXT Championship when he has blinded him with fire and blurred his path forward as champion, and says that there is more torture and pain in D'Angelo's future. Naraku says D'Angelo may have researched his career, but he still has no idea of what he is capable of, including becoming NXT Champion.

Backstage, Tate Wilder and Kam Hendrix argue over whether or not Wilder can beat Naraku next week. Hendrix says he is about 72.8% cleared. Suddenly, Mason Rook shows up and tells Kam Hendrix that he knows Hendrix is saying he put him on the shelf, and says that if she actually did, Hendrix would not be getting back up. Hendrix soon runs out of the room.

Suddenly, Mason Rook shows up and tells Kam Hendrix that he knows Hendrix is saying he put him on the shelf, and says that if she actually did, he would not be getting back up. Hendrix soon runs out of the room.

Layla Diggs beats Thea Hail, Izzi Dame and Lizzy Rain in an NXT Women's North American Championship #1 contender's Fatal 4-Way Match.

We hear from Nikki Blackheart, who says that when disaster strikes, it does not discriminate. She says that Tatum Paxley was her first victim last week, and that there is no telling who she will go after next. Nikki says she is here to dominate and that she is a natural disaster with purpose, then we learn her new name: Reina Volcan.

Tavion Heights suddenly shows up in the ring. Tavion says he was not going to come out here, but he was thinking about all he said before The Great American Bash. He says he can be cocky and arrogant as well as a bad brother, but he has the potential to be great and he can admit when he is wrong. He then says that he came to NXT expecting success only to be humbled, and when Myles Borne got the success he expected, that only blinded him. Tavion then shows up wanting to apologize to Myles Borne man-to-man, but The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) shows up. Baylor and Smokes says that Tavion should be apologizing for screwing them over, and Drake says that Myles handed Tavion a shot at his title only for Tavion to fumble the bag, and says that Tavion's biggest victory was a total fluke. He also says that if it weren't for Myles, Tavion would not have beaten him. Tavion tells Drake that if he wants a rematch, they can have it, then he punches Drake in the face only to be overpowered until Myles Borne makes the save. Both Tavion and Myles hug afterwards.

Backstage, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno are talking when Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux show up. Moreno says Legacy and Van Dux had one match and are one win away from becoming tag team champions, but Noam says he and Moreno do not know each other as much as Legacy and Van Dux know each other, and they have known each other for years. Legacy says it takes time to build chemistry, and Van Dux says they will get there. Legacy and Van Dux then argue over whose name will come first when they become champions.

Niko Vance beats Shiloh Hill after Tristan Angels shows up and takes Shiloh Hill's fake tooth, distracting Shiloh and allowing Niko Vance to win. After the match, Shiloh chases Tristan to the back, and Shawn Spears shows up from behind Niko and blasts him in the back with a metal folding chair.

Nattie retains the NXT Women's Championship against Kendal Grey. During the match, Wren Sinclair attacks Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic at ringside when they try to get involved in the match, and Sinclair is outnumbered until Lola Vice makes the save and brings the brawl to the back. After the match, Jaida Parker shows up and confronts Nattie, and when Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic try to confront her, Jaida turns around and clocks them. Meanwhile, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice and Kali Armstrong surround Kendal Grey on the ring apron to end the show.
