Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for May 13, 2026

In backstage footage from earlier today, Renee Paquette interviews MJF. MJF walks away when Renee Paquette asks him if he will put his hair on the line as he suddenly keeps seeing bald people, including John Silver, Christopher Daniels, Sonjay Dutt, Tommaso Ciampa, and even Ricochet, who says that MJF will look great, but not as great as him.

Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay) and Tommaso Ciampa in a ten-man tag match. Stokely Hathaway guests on commentary for the match after the first commercial break.

In footage from earlier today, The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir) train outside. Daniel Garcia says that Will Ospreay has been making progress, and we see Ospreay leaning backwards with the top of his head on the ground. Ospreay and Jon Moxley strike up a conversation, and says that while Ospreay can still fly and nothing has changed, Ospreay is now more dangerous and is now a bird of prey, He tells Ospreay to go out there, not to protect, but to give.

We see a video package for the history of the Stadium Stampede Match.

We hear from The Demand and Mark Davis. Ricochet says that Chris Jericho runs his mouth while they get done, just like Mark Davis, who is now on his Stadium Stampede team. He also announces that Andrade el Idolo and The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay) are also on the team. Finlay says they will fight Jericho anywhere, and that there is nobody better to call than the The Dogs for chaos.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey beats BK Westbrook.

"The Jet" Kevin Knight's TNT Championship open challenge is answered by "The Machine" Brian Cage, who is back after fourteen months on the shelf due to injury.

"The Jet" Kevin Knight retains the TNT Championship against "The Machine" Brian Cage. After the match, Kevin Knight says that "Speedball" Mike Bailey is red hot before welcoming Brian Cage back, then says he is still standing as TNT Champion. As Knight says he could not get the job done against Darby Allin, Speedball says that Knight is a future AEW World Champion. Knight says Speedball has always been in his corner, then Speedball says he wants next between Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin. Speedball says that Takeshita has been his greatest rival in Japan and has wanted to face him in AEW, and that he wants to face Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship.

The Men's Owen Hart Tournament brackets are revealed. Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay, Mark Davis vs. Jack Perry, Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido, and Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brody King make up the first round.

We hear from "Jungle" Jack Perry, who says that Mark Davis is no champion to him as he still needed help from someone with a golf club to beat him. He hopes to beat Mark Davis in Stadium Stampede before beating him in the Owen Hart Tournament to become a future World Champion.

Will Ospreay beats Ace Austin by submission after kicking Austin in the arm following a hidden blade and making Austin tap to an arm bar immediately afterwards. After the match, The Opps (Samoa Joe, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata, Anthony Bowens) show up, and Samoa Joe says that Will Ospreay has had a hard time hearing and that fate has put them in the first round of the Owen Hart Tournament. Joe says that Ospreay could have had a bye in the tournament and been in a group that enhances each other by joining The Opps, but he chose differently and became "a lap dog for Jon Moxley" in The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir). Joe says Ospreay will pay for that decision and that he will leave Ospreay in peace before his moment with destiny, then says Shibata and Bowens are still slighted and that he does not put leashes on his friends. The Death Riders show up as Bowens and Shibata enter the ring, and The Opps make the smart decision to back off as Samoa Joe says "Soon."

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Don Callis and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. MJF shows up and speaks with Takeshita, saying that tonight, Takeshita will beat Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship and then beat "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada at Double or Nothing, and hopes to face Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. Takeshita shakes hands with MJF, then leaves, and MJF hands the Dynamite Diamond Ring to Don Callis "in case things get hairy." Andrade then shows up and confronts MJF, whips his hair around, and smiles at him. MJF leaves as Don Callis says that Takeshita will bring the AEW World Championship home, then Don Callis asks "How you know?" before saying that next time, he should be the one doing it.

The Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament brackets are revealed. Persephone vs. Hazuki, Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor, Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena and Skye Blue vs. Sareee make up the first round.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Willow Nightingale, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). Orange says that they have a tag team title shot, and Kyle O'Reilly says that he and Roderick Strong should go for the tag team titles, as he has some business with someone who put him on the shelf. Willow Nightingale hopes to stay TBS Champion by Double or Nothing, then Mark Briscoe shows up and says that the word of the day is "reunification," for he is back and he wants Tommaso Ciampa for Collision.

The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) and Hikaru Shida beats Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, "The Toxic Spider" Thekla) by disqualificaton after Thekla hits Hayter with the AEW Women's World Championship. After the match, Skye Blue puts Windsor in a sleeper hold, while Thekla pulls out a leather belt and hits Windsor - and a ref - with a leather belt. Triangle of Madness retreat when Thunder Rosa, Willow Nightingale and Mina Shirakawa make the save while Hikaru Shida walks away.

We see a video package for Rush.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Darby Allin retains the AEW World Championship against "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita with the Scorpion Deathlock followed by two Coffin Drops. During the match, El Clon distracts the referee so that Don Callis can hand the Dynamite Diamond Ring to Takeshita, who refuses to use it as a weapon. After the match, Darby Allin calls out MJF so that he can sign the contract for his match. A table with a microphone and the contract on top of it is brought into the match, as well as two chairs as MJF heads to the ring. MJF hesitates to sign the contract, then tells Darby that he hopes he had fun holding the AEW World Championship, as a small part of him feels bad because Darby will never hold the AEW World Championship again. He says that "stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends" like Darby are a dime a dozen and that one's legacy is all that matters, and that Darby's legacy is having his fifteen minutes of fame and making no impact in professional wrestling. MJF says that Darby will be known as "a little prick who got lucky" and was too reckless and stupid to stay on top, and after Double or Nothing, he will go down as a three-time AEW World Champion at thirty years of age and go down as the greatest of all time. He says that Darby brags about climbing a mountaintop, then says that he is the mountaintop. Darby says that MJF is vain for caring only about legacy, for he lives in the moments, and tells MJF to sign the contract so he can make him "a bald-headed bitch." MJF signs the contract, then attacks Darby before knocking him out with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and lifting up the AEW World Championship while standing over Darby. MJF considers heading to the back, but gets back in the ring and nearly hits a Tombstone Piledriver off the middle rope before "The Jet" Kevin Knight rushes in and chases MJF out of the ring.
