Generation NXT - NXT recap for December 30, 2025

"All Ego" Ethan Page retains the NXT North American Championship against Moose.

Male Superstar of the Year: Je'Von Evans

Je'Von Evans thanks the fans for this honor, as he did not expect to win it, then mentions how he has been to Las Vegas, Mexico and even Madison Square Garden before looking forward to 2026.

Backstage, Izzi Dame wants to confront Tatum Paxley, but Shawn Spears and Niko Vance are cautious following being chased with a chainsaw last week. Izzi decides to take matters into her own hands.

Backstage, it is revealed that Kendal Grey has been attacked backstage and that Wren Sinclair is calling for help.

Izzi Dame is in the ring. She regrets trying to turn Tatum Paxley into something else, and says that if Tatum looked in the mirror, she would see the source of her problems. Instead, she had to be the bad guy and break her heart. She says that trying to eliminating Shawn Spears and Niko Vance does not solve her problems, and says that Tatum Paxley cannot be fixed. Izzi then says she was Tatum's cure, not the villain. After Izzi states that she took Tatum out of rock bottom only to put her back there when she refused to evolve, Tatum shows up and tells Izzi that she was listening and that she did care, and that she saw and felt everything. Tatum Paxley then says she is sorry...for Izzi being insecure and losing sight of who she is, saying that she has to put fear in people and hurt them to gain control and that Izzi is too scared to look into the mirror herself. Tatum says she needs friends that have been with her since the start, like the fans, and not friends like Izzi, and while Izzi may have gotten her at Deadline, she is not finished yet. Izzi says that if Tatum listened to her, she would still be NXT Women's Champion, and if Tatum wants to play games, she will play them. When Izzi asks Tatum what her next move is, Tatum challenges Izzi to a one-on-one match at New Year's Evil. Izzi says she is all for this so she can make Tatum lose twice, but after that, "playtime is over." Tatum says Izzi is not in control and that it is not over until she says it is. Tatum then bends backwards to avoid a big boot from behind and lays Izzi out.

Tag Team of the Year: Sol Ruca and Zaria

We hear from Sol Ruca and Zaria. Sol Ruca says they have had their ups and downs, but they are the tag team in the world, and she thanks the fans for the honor. Zaria talks about where they've been and who they've faced in 2026, and says that this is just the beginning.

Jacy Jayne beats Wren Sinclair. After the match, Jacy Jayne attacks Wren Sinclair, but Kendal Grey runs to the ring and makes the save, even putting Jacy Jayne in a cross arm breaker.

Backstage, Joe Hendry is tuning up his vocals when he finds out that his concert is all set.

Joe Hendry heads to the ring for his New Year's Eve Eve concert. Hendry talks about his 2025 in WWE, including signing to the company, then sings a song about NXT in the current year, but as soon as he mentions DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin), the lights go out and DarkState shows up. Hendry immediately grabs the chair he is sitting on to use as a weapon, but it proves no match for the numbers game that comes to the ring for him.

Backstage, after General Manager Ava tells Robert Stone to make sure the rest of the year-end awards are ready, she finds Blake Monroe in her office. Blake wants a different referee for her championship rematch, and Ava says she will do her best, given the state Blake is in. Ava then tells Blake that if she wants her title back, "The Glamour" needs to show up, and she knows she has it in her.

NXT and Total Nonstop Action Superstars pick who they think will win between Leon Slater and Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at New Year's Evil.

Tavion Heights beats Lexis King in just eight seconds to advance to the finals of the Speed Championship Tournament.

Match of the Year: Je'Von Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. Oba Femi for the NXT Championship, Stand & Deliver

OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) beat Swipe Right (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes) and also decimate Jackson Drake whenever he gets involved.

Backstage, Jordynne Grace talks with Thea Hail about Thea's celebration from last week, and Thea refuses to let the negativity get in the way. Thea Hail then asks Jordynne to be in her corner for New Year's Evil. Jordynne accepts.

Female Superstar of the Year: Sol Ruca

We hear from Sol Ruca, who talks about her 2025 as a double champion as well as her tag team matches all over WWE with Zaria, then thanks the fans for their support and promises that 2026 will be even bigger.

Ricky Saints beats Je'Von Evans with a low blow after shoving the referee into the path of the OG Cutter and hitting the Ro-Sham-Bo as another referee arrives to count the pin.
