Generation NXT - NXT recap for December 23, 2025

Lola Vice beats Izzi Dame after Tatum Paxley suddenly appears with a chainsaw. After the match, Lola is attacked from behind by Kelani Jordan.

Jordynne Grace is watching Thea Hail's win from last week when Thea shows up. Thea Hail thanks Jordynne and says that she will address the fans, still not feeling like her championship win is real, then thanks Jordynne again for standing up for her against Blake Monroe.

Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page runs into Myles Borne, who says that he could have the match against him that Leon Slater does if he had just made a small change, then tells him that NXT is a pool full of great whites and tells him up to move up or move out. He also tells Myles that he gets to watch a real champion take care of business and beat one of Total Nonstop Action's best.

Thea Hail heads to the ring. She admits that last week was a little controversial and that she still cannot believe that she won, and while she has heard about what it is like to be a champion, it never prepared her to be one. She says that she grew up in front of the fans since she showed up as a high school senior and that she has been through a lot, and while people doubted her, she believed in herself and became a champion. Thea Hail says that with the Women's North American Championship, she finally feels like "a grown ass woman," and as she wants to celebrate with everyone, Blake Monroe shows up and calls Thea's win a fluke and a mistake. She says that she now has to deal with that mistake, and she now wants the title back. Thea tells her she lost, but Blake says the ref had no idea what she was doing. Thea gives Blake her rematch for New Year's Evil, but Blake punches her in the face. This starts a brawl that referees have to break up.

We see a video package for Eli Knight from Evolve (and formerly from Reality of Wrestling), and Tavion Heights, as they both face off in the Speed Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Zaria and Sol Ruca. Sol Ruca says that you cannot control the waves, but you can learn how to ride them. While she has lost two championships, she beat Bayley in front of millions of fans and is lucky to be friends with Zaria. Sol Ruca hopes to beat Chelsea Green tonight and become a champion again. Zaria says that Sol Ruca deserves to be a champion again and that she will be in her corner.

Tavion Heights beats Eli Knight to advance in the WWE Speed Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Blake Monroe is met by Jackson Drake, and she also meets Swipe Right (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes). The three of them give her some Christmas presents and tell her that she should still be champion, and that she will win her title back. When they entertain the idea of Thea Hail still holding the Women's North American Championship, Blake tells them to get out of her face, but leave the presents.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Leon Slater and Oba Femi. On the subject of 2025, Oba Femi says that he had a fantastic year and even corrected the one blemish in, then says that he is not here to rule NXT, but to rule WWE, and that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and the fans felt a shift in the universe. Oba then says that Leon Slater will also feel that shift. Slater says he is walking into the biggest match of his life against Oba Femi, and that his life had a void that was filled by professional wrestling since he was a kid. He also talks about how he was the only man in the house growing up with just a mother and a sister, then says that he has made moments and history and that he will soon make another moment. Oba tells Slater that his story will not have a happy ending, but Slater says that he is not one for trash talk and that they will find out who speaks louder.

General Manager Ava is in the ring with members of security. She introduces Je'Von Evans first, then introduces Ricky Saints. Security stands between them as Saints says that Je'Von does not have the emotional intelligence to carry a brand and should be more like him, but Je'Von says that Saints is jealous of his success. Saints says he can do it all, but Je'Von says that the General Managers of Raw and SmackDown want him on their shows and he was on John Cena's last show while Saints was not even thought about. As Saints and Je'Von are about to throw down, Ava puts them in one last one-on-one match to prove who is better for the last time.

Backstage, Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) show up and mock Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair. Both sides have a war of words before Javy Jayne says that Kendal Grey is not on her level and challenging Wren Sinclair to a match to warm up. Wren Sinclair accepts the challenge.
Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye beat Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace in a Christmas Chaos Match.

Backstage, General Manager Ava meets with DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin), and Dion Lennox wants Joe Hendry after Hendry cost him a title shot.. Hendry appears, and things nearly come to blows until Ava tells them not to fight in her office. DarkState leaves, with Cutler James telling Joe Hendry to keep his head on a swivel, as they will be watching.. Joe Hendry proposes a concert for next week, which Ava approves.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price). As they state that Hank Walker and Tank Walker will see them again, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smoke, Jackson Drake) show up and interrupt them. OTM almost beats them up for the interruption.

Lexis King beats Andre Chase to advance in the WWE Speed Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Myles Borne meets with Tavion Heights. As Myles Borne considers "All Ego" Ethan Page's advice as they talk about next year, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger show up and says that if they keep going the way they're going, they will get to where they want to go.

Chelsea Green retains the WWE Women's United States Championship against Sol Ruca after "All Ego" Ethan Page puts Chelsea Green's foot on the rope during a pinfall attempt by Sol Ruca. Zaria confronts Ethan, who soon gets beaten up by Moose, and within the confusion, Alba Fyre stops the Sol Snatcher, allowing Chelsea Green to hit the Un-Pretty-Her to win and retain. After the match, Alba hits Chelsea and Alba with a double Spear, and Sol Ruca hits Chelsea and Alba with a double Sol Snatcher.
