Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 13, 2019

Kenny King guests on commentary for the next match.

Shane Taylor beats Rhett Titus. After the match, Kenny King heads to the ring and tells Rhett Titus he is "flat out disgusted" after his performance and asks what happened to him. He says that they fought and scrapped together and became one of the best tag teams in ROH history, and that Rhett Titus has "the body of a god and the heart of a bitch." He says that he would tear up his contract right now, then brings up his family, saying that his future son would see him as a coward and that his wife is disappointed in him. Rhett Titus gets mad, and when Kenny King dares Rhett Titus to hit him, Rhett Titus walks away, and Kenny King says the Rhett Titus he knew was a man, but now he is "a punk-ass bitch."

We hear from Kelly Klein, who says that ROH has some of the best women's wrestling in the world, and she loves it. She says that if Maria Manic wanted her attention, she's got it, for she will take on all comers and defend her title.

We see a video package where Alex Shelley surprisingly shows up as Matt Taven and Jay Lethal are in the ring, where he tells Matt Taven to respect what he has done for pro wrestling before proclaiming that he still has talent on loan from God.

Kelly Klein guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Velvet Sky says that Angelina Love is the only person in the next match that matters and the true #1 contender to the ROH Women of Honor World Championship, having proved herself when she beat Kelly Klein at Best In The World, while everyone else in the ring does not belong here.

Tasha Steelz beats Stella Grey, Jenny Rose and Angelina Love in a Four Corners Survival Match to become #1 contender for the ROH Women of Honor World Championship. After the match, Maria Manic shows up behind Tasha and Angelna. Angelina gets out of the ring, and security has to get between Tasha and Maria. Tasha gets out of the ring, but Maria lays out security in no time flat.

We hear from Rush, who says he is sick and tired of Dalton Castle, and if Dalton Castle wants to mess with his family, he has no problem taking him out.

Timekeeper Amy Rose leaves at Jay Lethal's request before the next match.

The Bouncers (The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas) and Jay Lethal beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan). After the match, Taven yanks Lethal off the apron and hits him with the Climax on the outside.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for November 24, 2018

Before the next match, Matt Taven asks if the match he is in is a joke, and says he knows The Boys are trying to stick up for Dalton Castle before telling them he and TK O'Ryan will hurt them and put them on the shelf like they did Castle. He tells TK O'Ryan to go up to the commentary table and talk about how great he is, as he can beat them all by himself and teach them a lesson their father should have taught them: you don't mess with the leader of the pride, especially when he is the real ROH World Champion. He then hits one of The Boys with his championship belt, starting the next match.

Matt Taven beats The Boys after Vinny Marseglia drags one of The Boys underneath the ring.

We hear from "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, who talks about his time in ROH as well as how the odds have always been against him when it came to reclaiming the ROH World Championship, and says when it comes to a one-on-one match for the title against Jay Lethal, he would not want it any other way.

Ian Riccoboni interviews "The Octopus" Jonathan Gresham in the ring. Gresham says that it is obvious that his tag team partner Jay Lethal has a ROH World Championship match at Final Battle, leaving him without a match. He says that he wants to prove he is the best pure wrestler in the world, and at Final Battle, he is issuing an open challenge to anyone in the world at Final Battle so he can prove he is best pure wrestler in the world. Suddenly, Zack Sabre Jr. shows up on the video screen to announce that he will take on Gresham at Final Battle. Afterwards, Gresham tells the fans to tune in to Honor Club so they can watch him make Zack Sabre Jr. tap out.

We see "Almighty" Christopher Daniels on the phone in a hotel room. After he hangs up, he tells "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky that they have contracts, but he does not, because they are tag team champions. Daniels tells Kazarian and Sky that he will figure something out.

Kelly Klein beats Jenny Rose to qualify for the Four Corners Survival Match for the ROH Women of Honor World Championship at Final Battle. During the match, Sumie Sakai sits in a steel chair on the stage to get a closer look.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) ends in a double disqualification after Jay Brisco and Matt Jackson throw steel chairs at the partners of the other team at the same time. Afterwards, Jay Brisco and Matt Jackson fight each other with the steel chairs, then the chairs get thrown at referee Todd Sinclair, who gets knocked out. After this, both team brawl until security shows up and stops everything. Suddenly, SoCal Uncensored ("The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) show up, and Scorpio reminds everyone that this match was supposed to decide #1 contenders for the tag team titles, but both teams lost. He says this does not work for the fans and that it definitely does not work for SoCal Uncensored. Kazarian mentions that the last time he held one of the titles, The Young Bucks took it from them in something other than an ordinary match that sent both him and "Almighty" Christopher Daniels to the hospital. He also reminds The Briscoes that SoCal Uncensored is still at war with them before declaring that they are ready to defend the tag team titles at Final Battle, but not in a ordinary match. Instead, it will be in a Ladder War.

Next week: Jeff Cobbs vs. Josh "The Goods" Woods! "Almighty" Christopher Daniels vs. Kenny King! Guerrero Maya Jr. and Stuka Jr. vs. SoCal Uncensored ("The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky)!

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for November 3, 2018

Before the next match, Bully Ray - who shows up with a manila envelope with "Flip Punishment" on it - mentions that if "The Last Real Man" Silas Young wins, then he can do whatever he wants to do to Flip Gordon; likewise, if Flip wins, he can do whatever he can do to Bully Ray. When Flip shows up (with a manila envelope saying "Bully Ray Punishment"), he points to the commentary table, revealing that his mystery partner is Colt Cabana. Bully Ray is not impressed with Flip's choice - having beaten Colt Cabana in Las Vegas, Nevada - but Colt Cabana says he is here to see what Bully Ray's face would look like when he finds out it is not him, but instead, it is The Sandman, who shows up out of the crowd with a can of beer and a Singapore cane.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young beats The Sandman in a Pick Your Punishment Match. After the match, Bully Ray announces that Flip Gordon will take ten shots from The Sandman's Singapore cane. (The ten lashes are edited and censored for international TV, with the full, uncut footage appearing on Honor Club.) During the beating, Bully Ray gives Flip the opportunity to say "I quit," which Flip rejects. As Flip takes the lashes, more and more people from the locker room show up to watch and confront Bully Ray, and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up with The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and gets in the ring to tell Flip to take it, as does everyone else who has showed up to watch. Bully Ray gives Flip another chance to quit, and Flip replies with "Fuck you!" The tenth Singapore cane shot ends up being a low blow, and Bully Ray has to defend himself on his way to the back.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon guests on commentary for the next match.

Jenny Rose, Madison Rayne and Sumie Sakai beat Karen Q, Britt Baker and Kelly Klein after Kelly Klein refuses to be a team player.

We hear from The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan). Vinny Marseglia asks Jay Lethal if the underside of the ring looks familiar, and Taven says the red balloons were the last thing Lethal says before he popped his bubble showed him who the real World champion is. TK O'Ryan says Lethal and Johnathan Gresham's mystery does not scare them, and tells Lethal to "go ahead and call Will Ospreay." Marseglia then says to check under the ring, whoever you are.

Jay Lethal guests on commentary for the next match.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Kenny King by disqualification. During the match, Kenny King throws an elbow pad at Brandi Rhodes, and Cody Rhodes grabs the IWGP United States Championship to use as a weapon. Senior referee Todd Sinclair is brought in as an enforcer. After that, King kicks Cody in the groin, then Jay Lethal runs out from the commentary table and tries to talk sense into Kenny King. Kenny King responds by hitting Kenny King with the IWGP United States title from behind.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for August 18, 2018

Chris Sabin beats Scorpio Sky. After the match, Alex Shelley says that he and Sabin have been a tag team for about twelve years, and when they came to ROH many years ago, their goal was to make it to the top of the mountain, and they did it. Alex Shelley says he feels he does not have much left to offer to pro wrestling as a whole, and that The Motor City Machine Guns are no longer needed. Shelley says he has come to this conclusion after having his teeth put back into place a third time, as a visit to the dentists makes you wonder how you got there. He says that this may be either retirement or a "see you later," and asks Chris Sabin to validate everything and prove they were the best tag team in professional wrestling for a period of time. The crowd chants "Thank you!", but Shelley says he should be saying that to the fans, and says he and Sabin's individual talents were what made them a great tag team in addition to the fans. Shelley then asks Sabin to fulfill his potential however he can and become a great singles competitor, hopefully by starting with the ROH World Television Championship. As Shelley and Sabin hug, Punishment Martinez shows up and pulls both men apart before driving Sabin face-first into a steel chair. He is about to do the same to Shelley when Scorpio Sky runs back into the ring with a steel chair, driving Martinez out.

We hear from Kenny King, who says he is at a crossroads between who he is now and the champion he wants to be. He says that he cannot stop, and his path has led him to "The Villain" Marty Scurll. Tonight, he plans to take a page from Scurll's playbook and make a villain bend the knee.

"The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein guests on commentary for the next match.

Karen Q beats Jenny Rose. During the match, "The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein gets on the apron and tosses her mouth guard into the ring, distracting Jenny Rose and giving Karen Q the schoolgirl pin for the win. After the match, Klein stomps Jenny Rose, then Karen Q tells Klein that she did not need her help to win. After Karen Q leaves, Klein continues to stomp Jenny Rose and then slams her dentist's bill on her in revenge for Jenny Rose chipping one of her front teeth.

In three weeks: Johnathan Gresham vs. Jay Lethal in a 30-minute Iron Man Match for the ROH World Championship!

Backstage, Chris Sabin calls for help after finding Alex Shelley laid out with a steel chair again.

Caprice Coleman guests on commentary for the next two matches.

FR Josie vs. Eli Isom in the first round of the 2018 Top Prospect Tournament ends when both men are decimated by Olympic wrestler Jeff Cobb. (Jeff Cobb is also best known for playing "The Monster" Matanza Cueto in Lucha Underground.)

We hear from The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan, Vinny Marseglia). Marseglia congratulates "The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks for getting on the same page. He says that Cody and The Bucks feed off of each other and as a result, ROH has handed them a six-man title shot that they do not deserve. O'Ryan tells them to get on whatever page works best for them, as they will rip that page from the manual and burn it until there is nothing but dust.

Kenny King beats "The Villain" Marty Scurll with a schoolboy pin with his feet on the top rope for leverage after referee Paul Stone takes Scurll's umbrella away from him!

Next week: "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Briscoe! The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan, Vinny Marseglia) vs. Bullet Club ("The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships!

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 28, 2018

KUSHIDA beats Jonathan Gresham in a close match with an inside cradle.

We hear from "The Villain" Marty Scurll, who asks Shane Helms if he is trying to piss him off and upset him, as it seems he has come to ROH to make a name for himself off his back. Next week, when they get in the ring, a broken finger will be the least of his problems, as the main difference between them is that Helms cosplays as a superhero while he is a real villain.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky). Daniels says that Cody beating him for the World title was nothing compared to people cheering Cody, and they decided to take the hurt and take their anger out on those who have hurt them, to the point that ROH COO Joe Koff have told them they are done after Final Battle. Daniel says they have six months left, and that they will not be forced out of ROH because his feelings were hurt. He says he could beg for forgiveness from Joe Koff, but instead, he has decided to make a spot for them in ROH and make ROH better than when they found it so that ROH cannot fire them. In order to do that, they have to go after The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe). Kazarian says that if you only had so much time left on the earth, you would either make amends and make things better or go out in a blaze of glory. He says that The Briscoes have never been the hunted or had a team like SoCal Uncensored go after the tag team titles, as their lives depend on beating them for the titles. Scorpio Sky says he has worked his entire career and life to be in ROH, and while he came in with The Addiction, if he has to, he will go out SoCal Uncensored.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon guests on commentary for the next match.

Odeo Tai (Hana Kimura and Kagetsu) beat Jenny Rose and Matu Iwatani following interference attempts by HZK.

Next week: Tenille Dashwood vs. Karen Q vs. Kelly Klein vs. Madison Rayne in a Four Corners Survival Match to determine a #1 contender for the ROH Women of Honor Championship!

We hear from Jay Lethal in footage from last week after the show went off the year. Jay Lethal says the ROH World Championship has been out of his possession for nearly two years, and he now stands on top of the wrestling world again. He knows he has a target on his back, and everyone is coming after him for the title. He tells everyone who wants a shot at the World title to come and get it.

Austin Aries guests on commentary for the next match.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) retain the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against the team of Kenny King, Chuckie T and Eli Isom.

Next week: SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL, BUSHI, SANADA) vs. Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page)! Chris Sabin vs. "The Last Real Man" Silas Young to determine a #1 contender for the ROH World Television Championship!

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 14, 2018

We hear from The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan), who says that it is time for "The March of the Melvins," and tonight, there will be #1 contenders for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships that have never had to deal with any conspiracies like they have. In the meantime, they will be the first, last and only six-man tag team champions, as it took them a year to get the titles back. Taven says that one thing is for sure: they are keeping the six-man tag team titles because this is his kingdom.

"The Gatekeeper" Kelly Klein beats Jenny Rose with The End Of The Match.

We see footage from earlier today where The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara) meet up with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and try to ask him for money so that they can pay off Shane Taylor. Cody Rhodes suddenly finds an envelope full of money that he forgot about and tosses the whole stack to them.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) guest on commentary for the next match.

The team of Kenny King, Chuckie T and Eli Isom beat the team of Shane Taylor and The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara), the team of "The Last Real Man" Silas Young and The Bouncers (The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonis), the team of Alex Shelley, LSG and "The Octopus" Jonathan Gresham and SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky) in a six-man tag team Gauntlet Match after Eli Isom reverses Angel's Wings into a suplex bridge pin to become #1 contenders for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.

Saturday, May 26, 2018

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for May 26, 2018

Before the next match, The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara) say that they have been beaten Cheeseburger's ass in the last few weeks, and tonight will be no different, even with Jushin "Thunder" Liger as Cheeseburger's partner.

Cheeseburger and Jushin "Thunder" Liger beat The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara).

Dalton Castle says so many questions are in the air, and one of them is who the next challenge for the ROH World Championship will be, considering "The Villain" Marty Scurll claims he has a shot at the title after beating and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes claims the same and also holds a victory over him. Regardless of whoever it is, he is more than ready to get in the ring with either of them.

Sumie Sakai retains the ROH Women of Honor Championship against Jenny Rose.

We see a video package chronicling the recent events between Dalton Castle, "The Villain" Marty Scurll and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky), who have lost the six-man tag team titles as well as any leverage to keep their jobs after Final Battle. Kazarian there is nothing they will not do to take the titles back. Scorpio Say says he will never get tired of beating up The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and they have a score to settle with The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan). Daniel say The Kingdom may be the first six-man tag champions and Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) may be the most popular six-man team, but they are the best.

We hear from "The Last Real Man" Silas Young, who says there are two kinds of people : those who are proud of the work and those who whine and cry until they are given what they want. He says that the latter best describes Austin Aries, who gets a shot at the ROH World Television Championship despite not being in the company for years. Next week, everyone will find out why he is not only "The Last Real Man," but also why "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is the biggest joke he's ever heard.

SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky) beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) by disqualificaiton after Kazarian swings a steel chair only to hit the top rope, causing it to rebound and hit Karazian in the head. TK O'Ryan tries to pin Kazarian, but referee Paul Stone sees the chair as everyone else in the match surround Paul Stone, Matt Taven and Freankie Kazarian and stops the match.

It is announced that Dalton Castle will be defending the ROH World Championship against both "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and "The Villain" Marty Scurll in a three-way dance at Best In The World.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 29, 2017

Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff guests on commentary for this week's show.

Kris Wolfe beats Sumie Sakai.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser show up. Silas says he knows this is a show for women of honor, but says he does not mind injecting a little testosterone into the proceedings. He says it has been 36 days since Jay Lethal has last been seen on Ring of Honor television, and if the crowd things Jay Lethal will do something, they are wrong, as he is bruised, beaten, battered and a shell of his former self. He tells the crowd they can do whatever they want, because it will not matter and Jay Lethal will never be seen on ROH television again in his life.

Jenny Rose beats Mandy Leon.

Kenny King says he recently decided to step out on his own two feet, and his own two feet have made him become the #1 contender to the ROH World Television Championship. He respects KUSHIDA, but KUSHIDA's time as champion is limited when he gets in the ring with him.

Karen Q beats Deonna Purrazzo and Kelly Klein after drop kicking Klein out of the ring and pinning Purrazzo with a schoolgirl pin.

We see a video package for next week's main event between Cody Rhodes and "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match for the ROH World Championship.
