Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Claudio Castagnoli. Claudio says "The Technical Beast" Josh Woods is a tremendous athlete and one of the best mat wrestlers in AEW and Ring of Honor. He has a lot of respect for him and looks forward to getting in the ring and testing himself. He says that Woods has yet to reach his true potential while he has been the testing block and the final boss for year, and that he is the guy people want to step into the ring with to see how good they really are. He says he does not care where he defends the ROH World Championship, because it is the world title where he defends it and his opponent is in for a fight.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 28, 2018

KUSHIDA beats Jonathan Gresham in a close match with an inside cradle.

We hear from "The Villain" Marty Scurll, who asks Shane Helms if he is trying to piss him off and upset him, as it seems he has come to ROH to make a name for himself off his back. Next week, when they get in the ring, a broken finger will be the least of his problems, as the main difference between them is that Helms cosplays as a superhero while he is a real villain.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky). Daniels says that Cody beating him for the World title was nothing compared to people cheering Cody, and they decided to take the hurt and take their anger out on those who have hurt them, to the point that ROH COO Joe Koff have told them they are done after Final Battle. Daniel says they have six months left, and that they will not be forced out of ROH because his feelings were hurt. He says he could beg for forgiveness from Joe Koff, but instead, he has decided to make a spot for them in ROH and make ROH better than when they found it so that ROH cannot fire them. In order to do that, they have to go after The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe). Kazarian says that if you only had so much time left on the earth, you would either make amends and make things better or go out in a blaze of glory. He says that The Briscoes have never been the hunted or had a team like SoCal Uncensored go after the tag team titles, as their lives depend on beating them for the titles. Scorpio Sky says he has worked his entire career and life to be in ROH, and while he came in with The Addiction, if he has to, he will go out SoCal Uncensored.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon guests on commentary for the next match.

Odeo Tai (Hana Kimura and Kagetsu) beat Jenny Rose and Matu Iwatani following interference attempts by HZK.

Cheeseburger and Jushin "Thunder" Liger beat The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara).

Dalton Castle says so many questions are in the air, and one of them is who the next challenge for the ROH World Championship will be, considering "The Villain" Marty Scurll claims he has a shot at the title after beating and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes claims the same and also holds a victory over him. Regardless of whoever it is, he is more than ready to get in the ring with either of them.

Sumie Sakai retains the ROH Women of Honor Championship against Jenny Rose.

We see a video package chronicling the recent events between Dalton Castle, "The Villain" Marty Scurll and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky), who have lost the six-man tag team titles as well as any leverage to keep their jobs after Final Battle. Kazarian there is nothing they will not do to take the titles back. Scorpio Say says he will never get tired of beating up The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and they have a score to settle with The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan). Daniel say The Kingdom may be the first six-man tag champions and Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) may be the most popular six-man team, but they are the best.

We hear from "The Last Real Man" Silas Young, who says there are two kinds of people : those who are proud of the work and those who whine and cry until they are given what they want. He says that the latter best describes Austin Aries, who gets a shot at the ROH World Television Championship despite not being in the company for years. Next week, everyone will find out why he is not only "The Last Real Man," but also why "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is the biggest joke he's ever heard.

SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky) beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) by disqualificaiton after Kazarian swings a steel chair only to hit the top rope, causing it to rebound and hit Karazian in the head. Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for May 5, 2018

Caprice Coleman guests on commentary this week.

Coast To Coast (Shaheem Ali and LSG) beat The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonis.

We hear from Jay Lethal, who says that without ROH gold around his waist, he is lost. He has went to management, and has been told to rack up a few more wins if he wants championship gold. He has decided to do one better and beat the people who have beaten him, and he will wrestle as many matches as he has to in order to stand on top with gold around his waist. He may be lost right now, but that will soon change.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jason) want to go at it for the ROH World Tag Team Championships with The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) one more time, since they put on a show and because they want to invite The Briscoes to a superkick party. That match will happen next week.

Before the next match, Rhett Titus says that Will Ferrara will tear Jonathan Gresham into calamari. He then guests on commentary for the next match.

Jonathan Gresham beats Will Ferrara, then Ferrara and Rhett Titus attack Gresham after the match until The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) make the save.

We hear from Cody and Marty Scurll. Cody says that the #1 contender will face Dalton Castle at Best In The World on June 29th, and Scurll says it is him and that he will beat Dalton Castle for the ROH World Championsip. Cody takes Scurll aside and tells him that Bullet Club is fine and that he had his shot, and to go with him on this. Nevertheless, Scurll tells Castle he will beat him for the ROH World Championship again.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky), who say that The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) proved they are as dumb as they look when they stole the six-man tag titles, pissed off Bullet Club and infuriated them. Scorptio Sky says they should pay attention to tonight's main event, as there is nothing stopping them from taking back what is theirs. Daniel says the difference between them and The Kingdom is that they do not play by the rules and that they will end The Kingdom any way they see fit.

Before the next match, Shane Taylor says that for eight years, he ran the streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the same way he rules ROH right now, and that is being paid to beat people down and knock them out. No matter how much money he makes, however, there is only so much money to go around, and that leads to guys like Ryan Nova who do not even have a spot on the roster, as the money they make could just as easily be in his pocket, and he might as well knock people out until he is the only one left.

Shane Taylor quickly beats Ryan Nova by referee stoppage after he knocks Ryan Nova out. After the match, Shane Taylor stays at ringside and takes a payment from The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan).

The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) beat Dalton Castle and The Boys. During the match, "Almighty" Christopher Daniels tries to take the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships away from Shane Taylor, but Shane Taylor does not let him. In the midst of this, which distracts the referee, The Boys switch positions. Later in the match, Matt Taven hits Dalton Castle from behind with a championship belt, and is able to hit the Climax on one of The Boys to lead The Kingdom to a win. After the match, The Kingdom continue to attack Dalton Castle and The Boys, and put a steel chair around Castle's right wrist before Taven stomps on it from the top rope in an attempt to injure Castle.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for November 4, 2017

It is announced that Mark Briscoe vs. Kenny King for the ROH World Television Championship is off due to Mark Briscoe injuring his elbow during Global Wars: Pittsburgh.

The Kingdom (Vinny Marseglia and TK O'Ryan) beat The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara) and Coast To Coast (Shaheem Ali and LSG). After the match, Taven joins Marseglia and O'Ryan in the ring. Varseglia says there is a conspiracy against them in ROH, but a couple of weeks ago, they pinned and beat Search and Destroy (Jay White and Johnathan Gresham). TK O'Ryan mentions says he has come back from a leg injury and The Kingdom has yet to get a rematch for the six-man tag team titles. He then says The Kingdom are top talent and demand a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

Flip Gordon says The Young Bucks' ribs are out of control, and if they have a Bullet Club, then it is time for him to create an army out of a group of guys who have nothing to lose and everything to gain just like him.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up. He says if you tell one lie, all your truths become questionable. Tonight, he promised a World title match, as there is a certain individual that the ROH faithful want to see him face. He tells Ian Riccobonni to come to the ring. Cody knows he is not interested in facing him, but wants to know who he wants to see face him. Ian says "Dalton Castle." Cody asks the crowd if they want to see that and see that right now, then tells the fans that Dalton Castle is not here tonight. However, he introduces the #1 contender to the title: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's own Ryan Nova.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the ROH World Championship against Ryan Nova with the American Deathlock. At the beginning of the match, Ryan Nova removes the Ring of Honor from Cody's finger with his mouth. This leads to a short but chaotic match that ends with the American Deathlock. Suddenly, Dalton Castle then shows up, and asks Cody if that is all he has. He then says he speaks for everybody when he says that everyone is disappointed, as he thinks Cody is a good wrestler; however, as ROH Champion, his performances have been lackluster. He asks Cody why he could keep doing that when he could give everyone here the match that they want to see. Cody asks if this is Wrestling 101, and says that they do not need to do this match. With his lineage and connections, he can help you as he guarantees that Dalton Castle beat him, and asks him why he would waste his time. He can make one phone call and - in an obvious jab at NXT - get Dalton Castle one of those development contracts, and he can come back when he is ready, as all his friends have already done it and it is a guaranteed contract. Cody says he will walk right past him, and he knows it is what Dalton Castle wants. He tells Dalton Castle to think about it. Dalton attacks Cody from behind and gets him in the ring, where he hits Bang-A-Rang. Castle says he's thought about it, and says he loves it here and he will take his title away.

Jay Lethal says that as of late, people have been asking him what is left for him in Ring of Honor. He says that there are still a few things he has left to do, but when he stops and thinks about it, all that matters is being the greatest wrestler in the world. He says only one thing proves it: holding the ROH World Championship. He promises he will hold it once again.

Mark Briscoe confirms his elbow is broken, but he has earned his shot at the ROH World Television Championship, and he wants his match next week. Jay Briscoe shows up and asks him if he wants that title shot, and asks how many times he has went for the title, and tells him they are a tag team.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships against War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe). During the match, The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian show up, with Daniels shooting Silly String at War Machine while Kazarian makes fun of the crowd chants. War Machine chases Daniels out of the ring, and Chris Sabin pulls the win out from under War Machine with a jackknife pin.

Next week: Best Friends (Trent Baretta and Chuckie T) vs. The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian)!

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up and asks what happens when the undesirable becomes the undeniable. He then says that the ROH World Championship happens. He then says that is not him, and as much as he loves this championship, he says it is time for a change. He then asks somebody to come to the ring, and Nick Glendall - a ring announcer for Future of Honor and Women of Honor - shows up with a jewelry box. Cody asks the fans if they want to see him open the box, and asks the crowd to give him a drumroll as he introduces the official Ring of Honor...Ring of Honor. Cody takes the ring out of the box and, at the behest of the fans, places it on the ring finger of his right hand. He then mentions that the Code of Honor, and instead of shaking hands, people will be kissing his ring. Nick Glendall becomes the first man to kiss the ring, and in exchange Cody gives him a wad of cash. He then asks who in the crowd wants to be among the first to kiss the ring, then walks up tot he front row and has somebody kiss the ring.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 4, 2015

Dalton Castle beats Takaaki Watanabe. After the match, he says that he's the only real man in Ring of Honor after Best in the World. Not surprisingly, this raises the ire of Silas Young, who approaches the entrance ramp while being held back by several officials.

Nigel McGuinness introduces Jay Lethal, who comes down to the ring along with Truth Martini, J Diesel and Donovan Dijak. McGuinness congratulates Lethal, and Martini says that history was made at Best in the World as the world's greatest first-generation wrestler conquered Jay Briscoe. As for Lethal himself, he says what he's been saying the whole time: he is the best in the world. Before Lethal leaves, McGuinness asks Lethal which title he will vacate - the World Television title or the actual World title. Lethal has no plans of vacating either title, and that if he has to defend both titles on the same night in two separate matches, he'll do it. Next week on television, he defends against Mark Briscoe, and Lethal plans to destroy him. As for Death Before Dishonor on July 24th, he plans to retain against Roderick Strong. Roderick Strong shows up and tells Lethal he plans to walk out of the event as the new World champ.

Roderick Strong says that he now has not only the title shot that he wanted, but that he earned. He plans to take the World title from Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor.

Next week: Adam Page faces "Reborn" Matt Sydal. Page plans to use him as example of what he'll do to ACH at Death Before Dishonor.

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) beat The Kingdom (Adam Cole, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett). To the surprise of Taven, Bennett and Maria Kanellis, Cole raises O'Reilly arm after they shake hands, and leaves without the rest of The Kingdom.

The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) say they have reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) right where they want them, and that they will retain the ROH World Tag Team titles tonight.

The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) announce that Bobby Fish, who has been attacked in the parking lot earlier, is medically unable to compete (even though they attacked him). Nevertheless, Kyle O'Reilly shows up solo to fight them.

Kyle O'Reilly beats The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) by disqualification after Daniels hit O'Reilly with one of the tag team titles. After the match, Daniels attacks the ref, then he and Kazarian continue to attack O'Reilly. Matt Sydal and ACH run in to make the save.
