Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 15, 1999

RAW

The Rock shows up to start tonight's show. The Rock tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that he has exactly 13 unlucky days before he does what he does best: laying the smackdown on his candyass. He proposes two options. The first is Austin finding the nearest set of training tracks, laying his head on the tracks and waiting for the truck to crush his head. The second is Austin coming to WrestleMania, going one-on-one with The Great One, and having his monkey ass kicked all over God's green earth. At WrestleMania, he will prove to Austin and the fans exactly why he is The Chosen One, The Great One and the best damn WWF Champion there ever was. For weeks, he has said he cannot trust "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight, and last night on Sunday Night Heat, Wight and Austin proved they were together as once. He then says WWF co-owner Vince McMahon has not given him any answers to his questions, and demands he come to the ring to "sing his song of monkey crap" to him. Vince shows up and tells The Rock he smells what he is cooking, and that it is a load of monkey crap. He tells The Rock (whom he calls "Dwayne") that he needs a reality check after all he has done for him, and tells The Rock that he has Vince to thank for everything done for his father "Soul Man" Rocky Johnson and grandfather "High Chief" Peter Maivia as well as for his family, then says the WWF Championship is his, not The Rock's, and that neither of them will lose it to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He says this may be a bad dream, but there is no chance in hell this will become a nightmare in the form of Austin beating The Rock for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 15. He tells The Rock that this family. He knows that is personal between them, but he thinks of him just like he thinks of his son Shane McMahon. Through three generations, Vince's family has been looking after The Rock's family, and to protect the family, he reaches out at great expense and brings out Paul Wight (now known as "The Big Show"). Wight may not ever become a family member, but he will do his job and has done his job, and will continue to do so to make sure the WWF Championship stays around his waist at WrestleMania 15. Vince says he may not be "as quick on the update" as they are, but he will make sure The Rock is still WWF Champion. "The Big Show" Paul Wight shows up, and asks Vince what he means by not being "as quick on the uptake" as him or The Rock, and considers taking one of the checks Vince has given him and cashing it on The Rock before giving Vince the change. Vince reminds The Big Show he was brought here at great expense to do a job, and he has done it. He does not like the tenor in his voice, and tells him to continue to do what he tells him as he always gets his money's worth. Vince then slaps him, and that leads to The Big Show grabbing Vince, shoving him in the corner and threatening to destroy him if he ever touches him again. He lets him go, and Vince says he has gone too far and that this is all his fault. He says that their bickering is what Austin and all the fans want, and none of them will get it. Instead, they will get Big Show and The Rock as a functioning unit in the ring tonight, as they will be in a tag team match tonight. Vin e tells Big Show he will be working out some of his frustrations in that match, as one of the opponents will be Mankind. He then tells The Rock that Mankind's tag team partner is Austin. He then tells Big Show and The Rock to shake hands and be the unit that they will soon be at WrestleMania. Big Show and The Rock shake hands, then all three men celebrate in the ring.

A construction crew shows up at the commentary table, presumably to build something.

Before the next match, Jerry "The King" Lawler talks to one of the men on the construction crew, and asks what they are doing. The man does not elaborate on what he is building, and simply states that they are doing a job that they were paid to do. Also, Val Venis says that this is "The Shark Tank," and tells the ladies that if they are looking for some fresh meat to chomp on, he will send them all into a feeding frenzy.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James beats Val Venis to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship! During the match (and for part of the show), the construction crew continues to build something in front of the commentary table. After the match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn shows up and tells Val Venis to suck it.

The Rock is seen talking to "The Big Show" Paul Wight backstage. He tells Paul Wight he does not need his help, but Wight tells him that if The Rock, he has to cover his candyass. The Rock says he will slap the taste out of his mouth as much as the day is long.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James is interviewed in the locker room. Road Dogg tells The Rock he is coming for the WWF Championship next. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn says he is happy for him, but says he wants a shot at the title.

WWF co-owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon show up. Shane says he knows X-Pac is backstage, and says beating him at WrestleMania "will be as easy as 1...2...3...kid." Just to show how tough and deserving he is to be the WWF European Champion, he will take on The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk). Instead of Animal and Hawk, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up looking vaguely like Animal and Hawk. Vince McMahon guests on commentary for this match.

Shane McMahon beats Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco (whom WWF co-owner Vince McMahon insists are Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk of the Legion of Doom) after hitting both men with the WWF European Championship. Vince and Shane celebrate after the match. As they head to the back, a house is seen on the TitanTron, and the voice of The Undertaker asks Vince if he knows where he is. He says the lights are on, but nobody is home...yet. However, "she" is coming home, and when "she" does, The Ministry of Darkness will be waiting. The Ministry is seen approaching the house and peering inside. Shane and Vince are in disbelief.

We find out that the house from earlier is WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's house. We then see Vince McMahon calling someone on the phone.

The construction crew is now done, and what they have built have been covered with a black cloth. Jim Ross and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams show up. After we see the WWF Slam of the Week, Jim Ross uncovers it to reveal a smaller commentary table in front of the usual commentary table, with a WWF-style "JR" logo and the words "JR is Raw" on the front. Jim Ross says that he had the table built, and says he cannot believe that people are booing him.

Before the next match, we see footage from earlier today where Kevin Kelly interviews Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock, the latter now known as "Flyboy Rocco" to prevent confusion with The Rock). Flyboy Rocco says that if the WWF executive committee wants to throw them a bone and give them a shot at the tag team titles, that is fine, but they do not want anything handed to them. Johnny Grunge says they want to earn respect in the World Wrestling Federation.

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and Flyboy Rocco) after Jarrett nails Johnny Grunge with a guitar shot to the head. During the match, Jim Ross and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams" get in the way of Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler's view of the match, and also tries to talk over them. (This continues for a while past this match.)

WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon are seen talking to the police sergeant about what is going on at their house. The sergeant is skeptical, and thinks that this is a publicity stunt because he is watching him on television.

WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon are still backstage. Vince says the cops do not believe him, and that he cannot get in touch with anybody. Suddenly, the phone rings, and Shane picks up. Shane answers, then hands the receiver to Vince, saying "It's him." Vince puts the speaker to his ear, then hangs up after a couple of seconds. Vince tells Shane that the voice on the other end said "It's almost 10 o'clock; do you know where your family is?", implying that The Undertaker was on the other end of the telephone.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon talks with the rest of The Corporation. He tells The Corporation of his plan to deal with The Ministry of Darkness during the next match.

Backstage, Mankind is seen talking to Mr. Socko, saying he likes having him around but he is the filthiest sock around, and he plans to give him a bath with "The Big Show" Paul Wight's saliva.

WAR ZONE

Mideon vs. The Big Boss Man in a Hard Times Match ends in a no-contest. During the match, The Corporation shows up and all attack Mideon. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon tells The Undertaker that he knows he can see what is going on, and says he will make sure Mideon will never see out of his eyes again and give the signal for The Corporation to destroy him if he does not get away from his home. We then see footage of The Ministry at the front door of Vince's house on the TitanTron, and The Undertaker tells Vince to take Mideon as The Ministry is ready to sacrifices themselves for The Lord of Darkness, as their mission is only to die for him. He then says there are those who are forced to die and never know pain, only pleasure. He tells Vince to do what he needs to do for now, and he will do the same. The camera feed cuts off as a car approaches the garage.

Backstage, WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon continue to get help concerning The Ministry of Darkness' home invasion.

We see footage of Jerry "The King" Lawler and Sable's tour of the Playboy Mansion, complete with Playboy Playmates, the magic wishing well and the Grotto. During the tour, Hugh Hefner shows up. Lawler eventually gets kicked out of the mansion after jumping into the Grotto with the Playmates, but he leaves with a copy of the newest edition of Playboy with Sable on the cover.

Jerry "The King" Lawler is in the ring. He brings out Sabel, who will show the world her entire Playboy spread. Sable shows up, and we see censored images of Sable's photo shoot for Playboy on the TitanTron. It is announced that the issue has been so popular that a second shipment of this month's issue had to be ordered. The sneak peek is over as quickly as it began, and Sable says there will be "no more freebies." If people want to see her, they will have to pay from now on. Suddenly, Tori shows up in a red dress and heels, and says the people can see her for free. She says it took her a while, but Sable made it perfectly clear to her last week that she is just a woman and there is nothing about Sable that makes Sable better than her. She refuses to stand in her shadow for one moment longer, and unlike Sable, she is willing to show everything she has to the people free of charge. She did not come here to talk the talk, but to strut the strut. She knows that Sable is looking for an opponent for WrestleMania 15, and challenges her to a match before asking if she wants some. Sable says this is the difference between them, as Tori just wants some and she wants it all. She says she will see her at WrestleMania, and that she will put her on the map before she drops the bomb on her. Tori says that's fine, and says she has a bom b to drop on her. She then takes off her dress to show her bra and panties underneath.

The police pull up to WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's home. A police officer shows up and searches the outside of the house when nobody knocks on the door.

We hear more from Rodney as well as Willie Green, the latter of whom is obscured by shadows. They talk about how some guy talked about how tough he was until Rodney and Willie Green started a fight with him, which ended up being 20-on-2 until WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up and tackled them all.

Not to be outdone by "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beats Hardcore Holly with a Fameasser into a steel chair. During the match, Gunn tosses Holly into Jim Ross' announce table, much to the chagrin of Ross, who yells at Holly for breaking his table. After the match, Jim Ross and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is seen screaming at the police, telling them to head back to his home again.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon says the police saw nothing, yet he is still concerned that The Ministry of Darkness are still at his home. He then hears the voice of The Undertaker on a nearby monitor, where he reveals that the police did not find them, and that "she" will be coming and that he will be there to greet here, and that maybe he could be the father figure she never had...or maybe he could just torture. As the sound of a burning fire can be heard and a flaming Undertaker symbol can be seen, he says that in due time, Vince will be witness to his madness.

"Triple H' Hunter Hearst Helmsley shows up and calls out Kane, telling him that when he plays with fire, he will eventually be burned. He burned Chyna last week, but he knew the fire was meant for him and that it was him Kane wanted to incinerate. All Kane has done, however, is light his fuse. Triple H knows he is backstage, and calls him out for a fight, telling him to feel his fire and that he will burn. Kane shows up, and Kane and Triple H brawl. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up, and calls for Kane, telling him he needs his help, telling Kane that he can talk to The Undertaker. Kane takes his mask off, and we find out that it was The Undertaker the entire time. He grabs Vince by the neck, and the lights go out, saying "It's that simple...anytime, anywhere." When the lights come back on, The Undertaker has disappeared. Vince is distraught.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is more distraught than ever backstage.

The Rock and "The Big Show" Paul Wight vs. Mankind and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ends with both teams fighting each other outside of the ring until the show's end.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for March 7, 1999

The Rock shows up to start tonight's show. He says that at WrestleMania 15, he and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be in what will prove to be the most electrifying match in sports entertainment. He says that Austin will go one-on-one with the Great One, and after WrestleMania, he will prove why he is The Great One and Austin is not. He says it is humanly and genetically impossible for him to ever like Austin, as there is a deep-seated heated between him and Austin, and as far as he is concerned, the greatest book ever written is "The Rock vs. Stone Cold," and that the beauty of it is that there are infinite chapters and he will be kicking Austin's monkey ass all over God's green earth. The Rock says that when all is said and done, Austin will thank him for the memories and The Rock will thank him for being "the biggest piece of Texas trailer park trash walking God's blue heaven. The Rock then addresses the special guest referee situation, saying he does not care who the special guest referee is due to Paul Wight's questionable actions in the last two weeks, and says WWF owner Vince McMahon has the answers to all his questions.

Backstage, Paul Wight is approached by Howard Finkel, who tells him that The Rock has "buried [him] with a ton of dirt." Paul Wight says he will have to have a talk with The Rock.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and Flyboy Rocco) vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) ends with The Acolyte decimating Public Enemy with steel steps, steel chairs and a wooden table. The assault ends with both members of Public Enemy being whipped into steel steps held by Faarooq before Flyboy Rocco is hit with a Dominator.

Backstage, Paul Wight is seen looking for The Rock.

Backstage, The Rock is on the phone when Howard Finkel tells him that Paul Wight is angry and looking for him. The Rock says he is not too hard for anyone to find, unaware that Howard Finkel is stirring the pot.

Kurt Angle, a United States Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, is seen in the front row before the next match.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James beats Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Owen Hart shows up to attack Road Dogg from the top rope, but someone dressed as The Blue Blazer shakes the top rope to knock Owen off before hitting Jarrett with a spinebuster as Debra distracts Road Dogg and referee Tim White. After The Blue Blazer leaves, Road Dogg turns around and get the win. After the match, The Blue Blazer unmasks, and he is revealed to be D'Lo Brown.

Last Thursday afternoon in New York City, Sable held an autograph session for the cover of the newest Playboy magazine, which features Sable on the front cover.

Backstage, The Rock is seen looking for Paul Wight.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Goldust beat Val Venis and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn in a quick tag team match that also sees Ryan Shamrock shows up. After the match, Ryan runs away with Goldust and The Blue Meanie, Ken Shamrock runs after them, then Billy Gunn and Val Venis brawl as referees rush into to separate both men.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, but Val Venis, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Goldust run in, continuing a brawl between all four men that referees have to break up.

Tiger Ali Singh shows up with the Indian Flag in one hand and another item rolled up on a stick in the other. He says that the American patriotism that the fans cherish deep in their hearts is renowned throughout the entire world, and he knows that American patriotism is a sham. He says that the only thing Americans cherish is cold, hard cash, and tonight, he will offer anyone in attendance $500 to come in the ring and blow their nose in the other item he has brought into the ring: the American flag. He then mentions that "a genuine American hero," "a local boy" and "an Olympic gold medalist" is in attendance tonight, and he notices Kurt Angle in the front row, telling him to get in the ring and prove his American patriotism. Angle climbs over the barricade, and proposes $500 in cash to blow his nose in the American flag. Angle tells him "No chance," but Tiger Ali Singh says there is a really good chance and ups the offer to $2,000. Angle tells him "Forget about it," and Tiger Ali Singh mocks him before upping the offer again to $5,000. Angle accepts, then places his nose in the American flag. As soon as Tiger Ali Singh turns his back, Angle grabs the Indian flag and blows his nose in it. Tiger Ali Singh attacks Angle with the American flag, but when it has no effect and Tiger Ali Singh eggs him on, Kurt Angle hits Tiger Ali Singh with a belly-to-belly suplex and a hip toss before Tiger Ali Singh retreats.

The Big Boss Man beats Al Snow as Snow tries to use Head as a weapon. After the match, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) show up and go after The Big Boss Man, and Boss Man manages to hold them at bay as he makes his way to the ramp.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen entering the arena.

Paul Wight shows up. He calls out The Rock, saying what he is cooking smells "a lot like BS" to him. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon is not here, and The Rock is in so much trouble, as he was hired to protect the WWF Championship from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He tells The Rock that if he wants answers, then he should step in his world and face him like a man. The Rock shows up and tells Paul Wight there is nobody that calls him out and lives to tell about it, and says Paul Wight wants to be like him but is nothing more than a roody-poo candy ass. As The Rock and Paul Wight stare down, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's music hits, and Paul Wight goes up the right to head Austin off at t he pass. Instead of coming out down the ramp, he comes out from the crowd and hits The Rock with a Stone Cold Stunner to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for February 28, 1999

Note: During the show, there were technical difficulties due to the mix of rain and snow in Dayton, Ohio, and only the audio could be heard. After Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) vs. Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett, last week's episode of Sunday Night Heat was broadcast, with the results of the rest of the current show being available on WWF.com. When the episode was brought to the WWE Network, the episode appeared as intended to be shown with the aforementioned technical difficulties absent.

The show begins with Gillberg heading to the ring for a match only for him and his security team to be attacked by Chyna. Chyna makes her way to the ring, laying out Gillberg and the two men carrying sparklers on the stage before entering the ring and telling "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley - who is in the locker room watching the show with X-Pac - that he has laid his hands on her for the last time. She says that while her time is valuable, Triple H does not add up to the price anymore and that she will finish this one-on-one once and for all. She started this story, and now she plans to end it by knocking Triple H stiff. Triple H tells X-Pac that if Chyna wants her, she's got it.

Backstage, Shane McMahon tells Chyna that she will annihilate "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Chyna responds by grabbing Shane by the shirt collar, shoving him against the wall and telling him that she will kill Triple H.

Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) beat Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett. During the match, D'Lo Brown and Ivory show up, distracting Owen Hart and Debra and allowing The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) to attack Owen as referee Jimmy Korderas is pre-occupied with Jeff Jarrett and Scott Taylor outside of the ring. After the match, D'Lo takes the microphone and says it is not over between them, Debra, Owen and Jarrett, then says Ivory has something to say to Jacqueline. Ivory says that last week, Jacqueline put her hands on D'Lo, and while D'Lo is a gentleman, she is not and she will put her hands on her. Ivory gives Jacqueline two minutes to get in the ring as she takes off her jacket to reveal a purple bustier underneath. After the commercial break, Ivory and D'Lo are still waiting for Jacqueline.

The newest issue of Playboy with Sable on the cover - and nude inside of the magazine - will be on newsstands next week.

Jacqueline and Terri Runnels show up, and Ivory and Jacqueline immediately go at it.

Ivory beats Jacqueline with a DDT after rolling out of the way of a top rope splash from Jacqueline.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews Kurrgan, who is with the rest of The Oddities (Golga, Giant Silva, George "The Animal" Steele). Kurrgan says he just wants to dance with The Undertaker.

WrestleMania 15 is only four weeks away!

The Blue Meanie is seen feeding Goldust grapes backstage.

The Undertaker quickly beats Kurrgan. After the match, The Ministry of Darkness outnumber and overpower the rest of The Oddities (Golga, Giant Silva, George "The Animal" Steele) in the ring as they try to check on Kurrgan, all while The Undertaker watches. The Undertaker then tells WWF owner Vince McMahon that he was informed that Vince was unable to be here tonight, and says that word will get back to him about the carnage The Ministry they leave here tonight that is a reminder that tomorrow night, he has something in store for Vince. He also tells Vince he will own the WWF just like he owns Vince: mind, body and soul.

Michael Cole interviews Goldust and The Blue Meanie in the ring. Goldust questions Michael Cole's morality when he calls their alliance a "relationship," and when told that he has had an effect on The Blue Meanie, Goldust responds that maybe The Blue Meanie has had an effect on him. He says that The Blue Meanie wants to be like him, as he idolizes him like a son would to his father, and says that while he may not be The Meanie's real father, he "could be his mommy," saying he could care for him and shield him from all of "the evil, angry place in which we live." He then buries Michael Cole's head into his chest as he says that when The Meanie's head is nuzzled deep between his bosom, then and only then, he knows that "his mommy is here," and tells Michael Cole to re-examine his values when Cole says that he is sick. Goldust says that he is not The Blue Meanie's mother yet, but he can already feel the labor pains. Goldust and The Blue Meanie then crawl out of the ring together.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, who is in a Kendo Stick Match against Droz tomorrow night on Raw. He questions Droz's audacity for challenging him to such a match and says he is "The Lethal Weapon" for a reason. He is then attacked from behind by Droz with a Kendo stick.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and Flyboy Rocco) beat The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) after putting Matt Hardy through a table. At the beginning of the match, The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) show up on the stage to watch the match from a distance, distracting Public Enemy at the beginning. After the match, The Brood attacks Public Enemy as referees run in to restore order.

Before the next match begins, X-Pac chases Shane McMahon around the ring and into the crowd, distracting "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and allowing Chyna to land the first blow. As Triple H hits the facebreaker knee smash and goes for the Pedigree, the lights go out and Kane shows up. Triple H lets go of Chyna to confront Kane, but Chyna hits Triple H with the low blow from behind and Kane hits Triple H with two choke slams followed by a Tombstone Piledriver to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 22, 1999

RAW

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. He says that tonight is not a night for the weak at heart, and tells those with a squeamish stomach to leave the arena. He also tells the crowd that he hopes they brought their marshmallows, as tonight will be a roast and a roast of human flesh. If The Undertaker wants to threaten him, then he will put him in an Inferno Match against Kane tonight, and somebody is going to fry. He then says that if that is spectacular, there is the WWF Championship match at WrestleMania 15, when The Rock defends the title against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He also announces again that the special guest referee for that match will be Paul Wight, whom he introduces. Wight heads to the ring, and Vince welcomes him to the WWF. Wight says that thanks to Vince, he exited Hell's fire and entered Heaven's gate, and says it is very good to do business with him. He says that the WWF will never be the same again, as the money in the bank and the dividends are already paying off, as Austin took a ride through a steel cage and Mankind experienced first-hand "the Big Nasty" as he single-handedly he put the WWF Championship around The Rock's waist for Vince. As far as WrestleMania 15 goes, it will be as easy as 1-2-3. Suddenly, The Rock shows up, and says that his hearing may not be all that great, but wants to know if Wight say that he put the WWF Championship around his waist. Paul Wight boldly says he does, and The Rock asks Vince "Who is this roody-poo?" He asks Paul Wight if he thinks he can just walk onto his show and onto Know Your Role Boulevard, and have the audacity to speak to him in a bold manner, and tells him to know his role and shut his mouth. He calls The Rock "pebble" to shut his mouth or else he will close it with his fist. Vince says The Rock and Paul Wight are just having fun and making jokes and fooling around, but The Rock says "Make jokes, The Rock's ass!" He calls Wight an "overgrown, 500-pound bag of monkey crap" and tells him that he is three seconds away from him laying the smackdown on his candyass. Wight places Vince behind him and argues with The Rock, then Mankind shows up. He says this looks like something that needs a moderator or a referee, and he has the guy for the job: Mr. Socko, who has stripes on on this occasion. He says there is no better way to show to WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels he has the guts, the pride and the inner testicular fortitude to step inside the ring at WrestleMania 15 as the second special guest referee than by refereeing his very first match tonight in a match between The Rock and Paul Wight for the WWF Championship. Wight is game for this and ask The Rock "Whaddya say, champ?" and says they could talk about it all night or they can just do it. The Rock says if Wight wants to go one-on-one with him, the only thing he will be doing is checking into the Smackdown Hotel, and he's got him tonight.

The Rock and Paul Wight are seen arguing with each other backstage in The Corporation's locker room.

The debuting Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge) by disqualification after Christian gets involved. Public Enemy get out while the getting is good, and are about to bring steel chairs into the ring when the arena goes dark and red lights flash around the arena as The Brood beat Public Enemy up outside of the ring. Not surprisingly, Public Enemy are the recipients of a bloodbath, and they rush to the back after The Brood.

During the break, we see The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) are disciplined by The Ministry of Darkness with a beatdown outside of the arena.

Val Venis guests on commentary for the next match. During the match, Val Venis admits that he used Ryan Shamrock to get the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

"Bad Ass' Billy Gunn vs. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock ends in a no-contest. During the match, Val Venis gets up from commentary and tosses Gunn back into the ring. Shamrock notices Venis and attacks him, then all three men go at each others' throats. Referees have to restore order, and Ryan Shamrock shows up. Ken asks Ryan what she is doing, and grabs her and takes her to the back.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon tries to talk The Rock out of facing "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight in a match for the WWF Championship, but The Rock has his mind made up.

Kevin Kelly interviews Sable, who insists that the fans admire her newfound confidence - which can be read as arrogance - and admire everything she does. She says that she was to die for on Regis and Kathie Lee, then notices her stalker in the crowd and asks her to come down to the ring. She admits she was a little hard on her last week, and asks what her name is. Her name is Tori. She asks Tori what it is about her that she finds so fascinating. Tori says Sable is so beatiful, graceful, athletic and powerful, and adores everything about her. Sable then tells Tori she is pathetic, and that she needs to get a life as she is sick and tired of wanna-bes wanting to live their lives through them. She then says "Hit the road, skank!" Suddenly, Luna Vachon shows up and tells Sable that all women cannot be Sable, and that some women just have to deal with the cards they are dealt, but they don't use people. She says Sable is the WWF Women's Champion only because of her looks. Sable says she doesn't care about "all the women," and says she only cares about the men, and as far as "the card you've been dealt," Luna needs to reshuffle the deck. She then demands her music be played, then hits Luna with the WWF Women's Championship before doing the same to Tori.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon asks "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight to pull back on his match with The Rock for the WWF Championship, saying he has made a huge impact and will get his shot at the title in time. Wight has made up his mind, saying that he has to put The Rock in his place and become the new figurehead of the Corporation, seeing no problem in having a match with The Rock.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown tells Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett that they had better recognize who they pissed off, as they have taken out "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry and Debra has taken Ivory out with a guitar, leaving him standing alone. He begs for the two of them to come down to the ring and face them like men. Owen and Jarrett show up with Debra.

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett beat D'Lo Brown in a handicap match. During the match, Debra distracts D'Lo as P.M.S. (Terri Runnels and Jacqueline) show up, and Jacqueline hits D'Lo from behind with a drop kick from the top rope, allowing Owen and Jarrett the win. After the match, Owen and Jarrett continue to attack D'Lo and try to take him out as well, but referees show up to stop this.

Mankind, now spray painting stripes on his shirt, pretends to be a referee in the boiler room.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up and says he regrets to inform the crowd that the WWF Championship match between The Rock and "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight will not be happy, and tells Mankind and Mr. Socko to leave the ring. As soon as Vince tells Mankind "Nice try," The Rock shows up and tells Vince to go to the commentary table, as he wants none of what is going to happen. Vince reluctantly heads to the commentary table, then The Rock tells "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight to bring his roody-poo candyass down the ramp so he can put his fist in his mouth and his foot in his ass. Wight shows up, and the match starts, but it is not long before The Rock and Paul Wight both beat up Mankind. Vince laughs on commentary and says Mankind "fell for it again," revealing that this was all a set-up. Vince, The Rock and Wight all celebrate in the ring, and Wight and The Rock hold down Mankind so Vince can hit him with a right hand to the face. The three of them then celebrate on the stage on their way to the back.

During the break, The Corporation celebrate The Rock, "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight and WWF co-owner putting the boots to Mankind backstage.

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats Droz. During the match, it is announced that Droz is back after a two-week suspension following his recent attack on Kevin Kelly. After the match, Droz attacks Blackman with one of his own glowsticks until referees and officials restore order.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is seen telling Kane to promise him that he will make The Undertaker burn in Hell.

The Undertaker says the battle has been joined, and his agents of darkness are poised to unleash his reign of terror in the WWF, all in the name of his master. If WWF co-owner Vince McMahon thought he had problems with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, his problems have just begun, and if he thinks he can eliminate him with an Inferno Match, then he will find out some flames cannot be extinguished and that he is one of them. Vince will realize that he is his worst nightmare, and tonight, he intends on showing him just how serious he is with his threat, and if he likes, Vince can call it "a surprise." The Undertaker says the WWF will be his.

Before the next match, Val Venis says he may not be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, but he is most certainly the biggest.

Goldust beats Val Venis. During the match, The Blue Meanie shows up and suddenly attacks Venis from behind as the referee is checking on Goldust. Goldust rolls over and pins Venis to get the win. The Blue Meanie is seen saying "You're welcome," and Goldust sees The Meanie blowing him a kiss.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon is seen showing off in an "X-Chump" tanktop with the European Championship around his waist in front of a wall-length mirror as Chyna watches on.

Bob Holly retains the WWF Hardcore Championship against Bart Gunn after a man in a red karate outfit and a kabuki mask shows up and attacks Gunn from behind before putting him through a table 15 feet under the stage.

X-Pac beats Chyna to get a match against Shane McMahon for the WWF European Championship at WrestleMania 15. Before the match, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells X-Pac that there is no way he can get past Chyna, much less beat him in another match. X-Pac shows up with "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and after Chyna hits X-Pac with a low blow, Triple H chases Shane around the ring and back to the back. Chyna goes for a Bronco Buster and misses, then Shane tuns back to the ringside area and X-Pac chases him around the ring as Triple H gets in the ring and hits Chyna with a Pedigree. X-Pac chases after Shane, but sees Chyna is down in the middle of the ring and pins her for the win. After the match, Triple H and X-Pac are on the stage, and Triple H says "One bitch down, one to go!" X-Pac tells Shane he will be seeing him at WrestleMania, and that there is nothing he or his dad Vince McMahon can do about it.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up with a piece of paper in his hand before the next match. He says that he warned those with a squeamish stomach to leave at the beginning of the show if they did not like the smell of burning flesh, and tells The Undertaker he will get what what he deserves as what comes around, goes around. He says that nobody threatens him, and that The Undertaker will burn in Hell, just like his parents and their home both burned. He then introduces Kane as The Corporation's instrument of destruction, then guests on commentary for the match.

The Undertaker beats Kane in an Inferno match after placing one of Kane's feet on the fire around the ring. During the match, Paul Bearer shows up and brings a black gift box to WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, and tells him to open it. Vince eventually opens it to find a teddy bear inside. An upset Vince throws down the headset and walks away, and takes the teddy bear - at this pointed noted to be symbolic of something - with him. Vince catches up with Paul Bearer, who is at the top of the entrance ramp, and asks him "What are you doing?" After the match, The Undertaker confronts Vince - who repeatedly asks "Why?" - and takes the teddy bear, placing it on the fire. This action brings Vince to his knees as the show ends.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for May 14, 1998

We hear from Mando Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero's brother and Chavo Guerrero Jr.'s uncle, who says that Eddie and Chavo grew up together and that Eddie is currently leading the third generation of Guerreros. He feels Eddie is going to town on Chavo, and that this bet is dividing the Guerrero family. He cannot understand why Eddie is keeping Chavo under his shadow, especially since the family loves the sport, and says that Eddie is going about this the wrong way. Mando says he is trying to accept what is happening, but he cannot.

Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero says that the Guerrero family is distraught and want him to be more lenient to Chavo Guerrero Jr. He says that he has done just that and hand-picked a suitable opponent for Chavo who is about the same height and weight: Reese, who is clearly taller and heavier than Chavo. Eddie begs Chavo not to embarrass the Guerrero family, and to do his best and show what he can do. He also tells him that what happened Monday night will not happen again.

Reese quickly beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. After the match, Eddie Guerrero smacks Chavo with his towel and chews him out as Ultimo Dragon heads to the ring, and Chavo inadvertently shoves Eddie into Ultimo Dragon, who puts Eddie in the Dragon Sleeper. Chavo walks away, and referees show up to try to get Ultimo Dragon to break the hold.

This Saturday night on WCW Saturday Night: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Fit Finley! Yuji Nagata vs. Goldberg!

Raven shows up with four riot control officers. Raven says he is sick and tired of hearing about Diamond Dallas Page, and informs DDP that he is not Wyatt Earp, this is not Dodge City and he is not some outlaw he can "backjump and string up like Josie Wales." He tells DDP that if he wants to bring his noose and fight, then he has left Raven's Flock in the back so they can go one-on-one. He continues to call out DDP, and DDP shows up from out of the crows with a bullrope around his neck. The riot control officers move into place, but DDP leaps over them and onto Raven. The riot squad then attack DDP and hold him so that Raven can hit DDP with an Evenflow DDT. Raven then ties the bullrope around DDP's neck and sends him over the top rope in an attempt to hang him.

It is announced that Goldberg is in a Gauntlet Match against Raven's Flock at Slamboree, and if he cannot win the Gauntlet Match, the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship will be awarded back to Raven.

Despite interference by Ronnie Rage, Fit Finley retains the WCW World Television Championship against Kenny Kaos.

Goldberg beats Sick Boy. After the match, Riggs tries to attack Goldberg from behind, but Goldberg makes quick work of him and the rest of Raven's Flock thinks twice before going after Goldberg.

Before the next match, Kidman gives "Gentleman" Chris Adams a choice between losing to the Rings of Saturn or the Death Valley Driver. Suddenly, Van Hammer tries to get in the ring only to be stopped by WCW security and pushed back to the back, and Kidman and Saturn decide that Adams will lose to the Death Valley Driver.

Saturn beats "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Ronnie Rage with the Crippler Crossface.

Eric Bischoff shows up. Bischoff talks about his challenge to WWF owner Vince McMahon from last Monday night, as well as McMahon whining about being invited to where Bischoff is. Bischoff then says he just got a letter from McMahon's attorney Jerry McDivett of Kirpatrick & Lockhart, which he reads. The letter states that McMahon will not be appearing at Slamboree and that Bischoff has no authority to suggest that he will do so. It also states that McMahon is one of Titan Sports' leading television personalities and is responsible for some of its highest ratings ever. Nevertheless, Bischoff says the invitation is still open and that security will be looking for Vince McMahon outside of the venue, ready to take him to his dressing room should he show up, even though Bischoff says Vince doesn't "have the guts" and that Vince's attorney has stated that he will not be here.

Before the next match, Kevin Nash does not show up with Scott Hall. Nash says Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will not allow Hall to be on live television, but they cannot stop Hall from being at Slamboree on Sunday. He then asks if he is looking incredibly sexy tonight, and says he is like Brad Pitt except with a lot more meat on his bones before bringing out "a confidant of The Wolfpac:" "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says that Bischoff and Hogan are attempting to crack the Wolfpac and that Hall will be at Slamboree. As for tonight, he will stand in counsel with Kevin Nash.

Kevin Nash beats Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes makes himself part of the match, beating up Johnny Grunge outside of the ring after dragging him out of the ring while Nash hits Rocco Rock with a Jackknife Power Bomb, then hitting Rocco Rock with an elbow drop.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Sting ends with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart getting into the ring with a steel chair. Savage takes out Bret Hart, but when he goes for a top rope elbow drop, The Giant runs in and catches Savage. Kevin Nash makes his way into the ring and hits The Giant with a steel chair, but Sting takes a steel chair and smacks it into Nash's back. The Giant then grabs a microphone and says that Sting probably wants to know what he is doing, and says he has made a decision to walk in as partners at Slamboree. He then says that if they win the tag team titles, then Sting will have to make a decision. The Giant then pulls out a black-and-white nWo shirt and hands it to Sting, and Sting looks at the shirt before looking at The Giant, who leaves the ring as Lex Luger gets on the apron to talk to Sting in an attempt to reason with him.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 3, 1997

It is announced that the match between Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was made official for Starrcade during a commercial break during the premiere of Assault On Devil's Island last Tuesday. We see a scene from the movie, then the press conference where Sting suddenly shows and signs the contract for the match before pointing his baseball bat at Hogan as he leaves.

Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio Jr. and Steven Regal with a Texas Cloverleaf to Rey after Malenko tags himself in before Eddie goes for the frog splash, much to Eddie's chagrin.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

It is announced that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has suffered nerve damage in his face after the events of Halloween Havoc and that there is no telling how long he will be out of action.

Fit Finlay beats Dave Taylor. Raven, Perry Saturn and Billy Kidman are seen heading to the front row during the match.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Lex Luger and The Giant in tag team action! Disco Inferno! The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian)!

Eric Bischoff cuts in on commentary via telephone, telling them that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has challenged Sting on numerous occasions and has not hid from him, and that Sting is the coward. He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's injuries are consistent with brain damage that caused him to get in the steel cage with Hogan in the first place and that Sting suffers from similar brain damage. He also acknowledges the WWF and USA Network trying to put Assault On Devil's Island and Hulk Hogan down and steal Hogan's thunder, and calls all the attempts a miserable failure. He then announces that there will be more movies to come, and next week, the entire New World Order will be on hand with a huge surprise for everyone in WCW.

Yuji Nagata beats Psychosis with the Nagata Lock after Sonny Onoo kicks Psychosis in the face from the apron.

We hear another message from Raven: "Mrs. Landis' sixth-grade classroom. I sat in the third row, next to Teresa Hayes. It was there that I first discovered that alienation is a barren path. The taunting and the badgering by the other kids made me realize the depths of human evil and the dark underbelly of human society. I closed my eyes and pretended I was someone different, that I wasn't a misfit. You can't erase the dream, you can only wake me up. I didn't care. I never obeyed the rules 'cause even back then I realize that nothing in nature behaved so consistently and rigidly as a human being in pursuit of destruction. Quoth the Raven, nevermore."

Raven, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman, Sick Boy and Stevie Richards are seen in the front row.

Perry Saturn beats Disco Inferno with The Rings of Saturn to win the WCW World Television Championship in his Nitro debut.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows his appreciation for the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He tells Curt Hennig that he will find him in the building and make sure he does that on the air, saying he will be Eric Lindross and Hennig will be Yeager. He dares Hennig, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to cut the sleeves off of his robe. He hopes to eliminate Hennig in the World War 3 match and go on to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour, and we see another performance by The Nitro Girls. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko replaces Bobby "The Brain" Heenan on commentary for the second hour.

Scott Hall is seen wearing a WCW Tag Team Championship belt around his waist as he heads to the ring. After seeing who is nWo for life and announcing that Kevin Nash and Syxx are at home in Phoenix, Arizona and Minneapolis, Minnesota respectively, he calls out "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, saying he is a decent announcer and on his best day as a wrestler, he couldn't touch The Wolfpack (Nash, Hall, Syxx) as his best day was about ten years ago. He tells Zbyszko he doesn't want any part of him because he can't even beat Eric Bischoff. After showing the footage of Hall and Bischoff's beating on Zbyszko at Halloween Havoc in typical nWo black-and-white, he then tells the backstage area to bring out Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho beats Scott Hall after reversing The Outsider's Edge with a roll-up, then Hall hits Jericho in the back of the head and hits him with The Outsider's Edge not once, but twice before threatening to do the same to referee Billy Silverman. Hall is about to go for a third Outsider's Edge on Jericho when "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko leaves the commentary table and confronts Hall, telling him to sign the dotted line on his open contract in his hands. Hall walks away, and tells him he will be known by every fan as the biggest coward in the nWo who is afraid of a two-handicap broadcaster.

We see another report by Mike Tenay on lucha libre and the Mexican luchadores. This week's report is on the many high-risk maneuvers of lucha libre.

Barrett Brooks, Kevin Turner and Steve Everett of the Philadelphia Eagles are in the front row for tonight's show. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan joins commentary for the rest of the show.

The Giant shows up during a Cruiserweight Battle Royal and destroys everyone in the ring. Once the ring is cleared, The Giant says that's how you train for a battle royal before telling Kevin Nash he's the only big man in wrestling and that he will send him straight into the crowd in the World War 3 match.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Alex Wright with the Figure Four Leg Lock.

Ray Traylor beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael. During the match, Bill Goldberg shows up with Mongo's Super Bowl ring on his pinky, and this is enough to distract Mongo.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. Page says he is living a dream and doing exactly what he wants to do. Whether he is hurt or not, he's loving every minute of it. He announces that Halloween Havoc had the biggest pay-per-view viewing audience for a wrestling PPV of all time, and that he is honored to be part of the double main event. He says that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan calling him out jacks him up, and beating him by disqualification doesn't get it for him. What does get him is that he wrestled Savage with torn cartilage in my ribs on Sunday and then wrestled Hogan the next week, and he stood toe-to-toe with Hogan and both men gave it everything they had, and that Hogan still couldn't beat him. At 6'5" and 250 lbs., he is not he biggest or the strongest, but he has the most heart in the business today, as nobody wants it more than him. If he wins the World War 3 match and Hogan is still the champ, he knows Hogan a lot better and says Hogan should be worried.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) in a Philadelphia Street Fight.

We see a replay of what happened at last year's World War 3 Match.

Curt Hennig beats Lex Luger by disqualification and retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship after "The Nature Boy" Ric FLair attacks Hennig once again. Lex Luger then puts Hennig in the Torture Rack, but Flair continues to go after Hennig. Luger chases after Flair and catches him just before Flair can get his hands on Hennig on the way to the back, and confronts Flair for costing him the United States title as the show goes off the air.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for May 5, 1997

Tonight's episode is one hour long due to the NBA Playoffs.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Kevin Greene are at the commentary table, which has a black nWo banner with the words "Tradition bites!" behind it. As Piper is about to speak, commentary notices it and Piper tears it off. The three of them are in the ring after the show's intro, and more nWo papers with the words "Tradition bites! nWo 4 Lyfe" on them fall from the sky. "Tradition bites" banners surround the arena where the Nitro banners should be. Piper says he has reading the papers falling from the top of the arena last week, and tells Flair that he will not leave him. Referring to Kevin Nash demanding 75% of the gate, Piper says he wants no money. James J. Dillon shows up, and tells Piper that there are people here that are playing mind games. He knows that the "75% of the gate" demand got to Piper, and tells him that Eric Bischoff made some sweet deals for the New World Order that he can't do a thing about because they are all legal. Piper will get 25% of the gate, and if he doesn't show up for the match, he will be in breach of contract and will let WCW down. Dillon asks Piper to come with his head on straight, but Piper says his head has never been on straight and that he and his friends are lions. Flair tells Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Syxx that he doesn't know much about Hall and Nash, but insists that Syxx is his, and at Slamboree, a man with no regrets who has performed at 120% his whole career will promise that when one drives out of Charlotte, North Carolina, there will not be a pothole in the road.

The Dungeon of Doom (Konnan and Hugh Morrus) bring out a table of their own before their match with Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock).

The Dungeon of Doom (Konnan and Hugh Morrus) beat Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after Morrus puts Rocco Rock through a table that Konnan is lying on top of. A trainer has to tend to Johnny Grunge during the match.

Syxx shows up with The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) before the next match, and also fights in an nWo T-shirt and blue jeans. Hall and Nash distract the ref before the next match so that Syxx can get a cheap shot in, and Rey Mysterio, Jr. fights off all three men only for the referee to be distracted as Hall hits Rey with The Outsider's Edge before Syxx beats Rey Mysterio, Jr. with the Buzzkiller. James J. Dillon shows up with security and Nick Patrick, who is now wearing a white WCW Monday Nitro shirt, and Eric Bischoff and the New World Order soon follow. After Dillon tells Syxx to release the hold or the decision will be reversed, Bischoff tells Dillon to back off, saying that Dillon has "no stroke." Syxx tells Dillon that if he thinks he can pull "the same crap he did with McMahon, he's got another thing coming," while Nash yells to him that he has had enough of him in New York, and tells him not to get in his face because he's got one coming.

Lee Marshall calls from Baltimore, Maryland - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Bischoff shows up with an nWo shirt saying "Bite me..." on it. With The Wolfpack (Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Syxx) taking care of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Kevin Greene, Hogan says that he's been "making money and buying land." He says it's hard to be himself when he tunes in to Nitro and sees everyone wanting a piece of him, and since he's here, he wants a piece of the big dog and calls out Sting. Sting doesn't show, and Hogan says "Once a god, always a god."

The Taskmaster puts a very quick end to "Lord" Steven Regal vs. Meng, after Regal goes after The Taskmaster and Meng puts a nerve hold on Regal. Jacqueline, Jimmy Hart and The Taskmaster have to pull Meng off of Regal. Even after he is let go, Regal continues to fight but Meng puts him in the hold again. It is announced before the break that next week's show will air at 7 PM Eastern, 6 PM Central.

We get a video package detailing the feud between Diamond Dallas Page and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly. Page says that before he was a wrestler, he grew up in the nightclub business, and from the Jersey shore to Fort Myers, Florida, he's been in more barfights than he can remember. At Spring Stampede, however, he was in a fight like he had never been before, and he calls it a defining moment, saying that either you define the moment or the moment defines you and that he defined "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Kimberly says that Savage claims she is obsessed with him just to get at DDP and that Savage has a one-track mind and the traffic is very light. Suddenly, Savage and Miss Elizabeth make their presence known in the crowd, saying Kimberly is a liar and that everyone wants him. He tells Kimberly to stop calling and writing him, and Page tells Savage he has two words for him: Diamond Cutter. Savage says it's too bad he's hurt, as he would come down there and kick his ass. Page dares him to come down to the entrance so they can go, but Savage and Elizabeth leave.

Jeff Jarrett beats Alex Wright with the Figure Four Leg Lock after Debra McMichael distracts the referee as well as Alex Wright, who dances towards her just to get her mad.

Glacier quickly beats Lizmark, Jr. with a Cryonic Kick in the latter's WCW debut after Lizmark backflips off the top rope. James Vandenberg and Mortis run in and attack Glacier after the match, and the big masked man shows up to do some more damage. Glacier almost lays out Mortis, but Mortis gets back up and whips Glacier into the big man. Mortis hits the Flatliner on Glacier before whacking Glacier in the kidneys with his jester-like staff. James Vandenberg is seen still carrying Glacier's helmet as trainers get Glacier to the back.

Lex Luger is supposed to team with The Giant for the next match, but Lex Luger is injured and The Giant comes out alone. The Giant grabs a microphone that he does have a partner for tonight, however: Diamond Dallas Page. Page and Kimberly show up, but they see "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. Page grabs one of Savage's crutches and tries to swing at him as Savage uses Elizabeth as a shield, but it's all a set-up as Hogan attacks Page from behind and the rest of The New World Order attack Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and The Giant. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Kevin Greene show up, and while Flair has Syxx in the Figure Four Leg Lock, Greene and Piper take a beating. Hogan and Savage take over the commentary table, announcing that the nWo has everything under control and that Savage's leg feels a whole lot better while they mock the WCW Superstars in the ring.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 14, 1997

The New World Order show up at the commentary table and take it over once again. Kevin Nash says that one thing that is clear to him tonight is that Philadephia, Pennsylvania is definitely nWo country. He then tells Lex Luger, who is in the back, that he has to go through him to get his shot at "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. The nWo then leaves.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats The Barbarian, then The Dungeon of Doom attacks Benoit after the match. Jeff Jarrett and Steve "Mongo" McMichael rush in to make the save. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Benoit after the match as Jarrett and McMichael leave. Benoit tells The Taskmaster that he's listened to his interviews lately and notices he goes on about retribution and karma as he tries to justify himself. He admits he hasn't always done the right thing, and says The Taskmaster is like the plague. If Benoit does not destroy The Taskmaster, The Taskmaster will destroy him. He tells The Taskmaster that the sun will soon set on his career.

Dean Malenko beats Hector Guerrero with the Texas Cloverleaf. Eddie Guerrero, now with his left hand in a cast, confronts Malenko as he is on his way out. Eddie tells Malenko that if he hurts his brother, he will bring out a side of him that he will not like. Malenko says he knows what Eddie is about, and so do the rest of the fans. Eddie then checks on brother Hector.

Reggie White of the Green Bay Packers is seen in the front row. It is announced that Reggie White has signed to wrestle for WCW in a match against Steve "Mongo" McMichael, and that McMichael has not signed his name on the contract for this match yet.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Luna Vachon. She says she is the woman who lacks the restraints that hold an ordinary chameleon together, and she is the woman that is the number one contender for the WCW Women's Championship. She tells Madusa she will take the belt from around her waist and calls her "a pumped-up beauty queen."

The Ultimate Dragon beats Lane Carlson.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock)! The Ultimate Dragon! The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner)! Glacier! Lex Luger and The Giant!

Syxx retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Prince Iaukea by submission with a move Syxx calls "The Buzzkiller."

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Kevin Greene and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper says that every time he is at Nitro, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan happens to be staying at home, and instead of seeing a big bald guy, he sees the rest of the New World Order surrounding him. He says that are no brains between all of the collective members, and dares the New World Order to come on down to the ring at Slamboree so they can take them on. He says that he and Flair laid the foundation back in the 1980s, and if it weren't for them, Hulk Hogan and the nWo wouldn't look so cool right now. Greene tells Hogan's advice, and it worked, then he stabbed everyone in the back and became part of The New World Order. He says that Piper and Flair made wrestling, and that he knows about a little something called respect. Flair talks about how he looked Verne Gagne in the eye in 1973 and thanked him for helping him get in the greatest sport in the world, how ten years later he wrestled Dick the Bruiser and made it to the big time, and how he took on "Macho Man" Randy Savae in 1993. He says he will go all night long for years to come.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat High Voltage (Rage and Kaos) in a Philadelphia Street Fight after Rage is put through two tables.

The Giant quickly beats Big Al.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Konnan. After the match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth can be seen in the stands, and Savage tells Page that if he has a problem with him, he has a problem with Page. He tells Kimberly to quit fantasizing about him and calling him. Page immediately makes his way into the crowd and goes after Savage and Elizabeth.
Ray Rhodes, head coach of the Philadephia Eagles, is seen in the crowd.

Lee Marshall calls from Saginaw, Michigan - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

The Four Horsemen (Jeff Jarrett and Steve "Mongo" McMichael) beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) by disqualification after Sister Sherri keeps Debra at bay and causes the use of the steel Halliburton briefcase to backfire. Sister Sherri tries to whack Debra in the head with the briefcase, but misses. Before the match, it is announced that next week will have an announcement of what has been going on behind the scenes in World Championship Wrestling since Eric Bischoff was suspended from his duties as Executive Vice President. It is also announced that Nick Patrick has petitioned to be re-signed as a referee to World Championship Wrestling, implying that Nick Patrick is defecting from the New World Order. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jarrett and Mongo after the match, and it is announced that Steve "Mongo" McMichael will face Reggie White in a wrestling ring at Slambree, calling it an honor that White wants him in the squared circle while accusing White of selling out when he won a Super Bowl last year for the Green Bay Packers. White gets in the ring and stares down Mongo, and Mongo spits in his face as security tries to separate the men. Reggie White wastes no time tackling Mongo before behind held back by security, while Jarrett has to keep Mongo from going at White.

Lex Luger beats Kevin Nash by disqualification after The New World attack Luger. Diamond Dallas Page shows up and fights the nWo, but the numbers game quickly catches up with him. The Giant shows up , and Nash dares him to come into the ring with a lead pipe into his hand that was brought to the ring by Vincent. The Giant does not enter the ring, but the real Sting does, and he shows up with three black baseball bats. He tosses one to Luger, one to Page and one to The Giant. Sting gets into the ring with his own baseball bat, then the others rush in, sending the New World Order running and Sting nails Nash with the bat.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 7, 1997

The show begins with the aftermath of Diamond Dallas Page vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Spring Stampede.

The Dungeon of Doom (Konnan and Hugh Morrus) beat "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright and Psychosis. During the match, we see footage from earlier today where Diamond Dallas Page says that it is not over between himself and "Macho Man" Randy Savage as he enters the building.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats "Lord" Steven Regal by disqualification when Regal refuses to break the Regal Stretch after Rey grabs the bottom rope. The New World Order - at least its main contingent - shows up to the arena, during the match, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says that they will take care of the family business, draw the line and bring the family back together. After the match, Prince Iaukea tries to make the save, but Regal puts Iaukea in the Regal Stretch. Two more referees have to get into the ring to break the hold. There is then news that another limousine is arriving at the arena, which contains the rest of The New World Order. "Macho Man" Randy Savage is now on crutches after what happened at Spring Stampede.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Ice Train. During the match, The New World Order gets together, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan wants to know where everyone stands. "Macho Man" Randy Savage says that Eric Bischoff has gotten soft since his suspension, but Bischoff says he's gotten smart and not soft. Kevin Nash, who is standing in the back, is noticed walking away during their conversation.

We see footage from the world premiere for Double Team, where "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Dennis Rodman are spotted. We learn that Rodman is in the nWo because he wants to have fun, make a lot of money and doesn't want to be fined anymore. Hogan tells Rodman that nobody is in his league. Double Team is premiering in theaters July 13th.

The Taskmaster beats Hector Guerrero. Once again, Jacqueline pounds on The Taskmaster's opponent outside of the ring.

The New World Order shows up. Ted DiBiase says it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that there is turmoil within the family, and that they will all end it tonight as it is all for one and one for all and they will either walk out together or go their separate ways. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says it's time to take care of family business, or else the "nWo World Heavyweight Championship". Hogan first focuses on Kevin Nash, who has problems being in Chicago around the time of Spring Stampede, and tells Nash that if he has a problem, it needs to be aired right now. Nash says he has no problem with Dennis Rodman and welcomes him to the nWo, but he sat in the hotel room with Syxx and apologizes if he was a little grouchy last week. Hogan says that he'll make sure Nash goes on an nWo Easter hunt next year. Hogan says Nash having no problem with Rodman solves half the equation, then asks why Scott Hall was nowhere to be found, and wants to know where Hall is. Nash says that Hall is "nWo 4 Lyfe," as he has known him for seven years. Hogan then says that if the rules haven't changed, the family is still a family, yet Nash is burning a hole through him. Hogan tells Nash that either he and Hall are in it "4 Lyfe," or Nash and Hogan need to get it on right now. Hogan gets ready for a fight, and Nash tells Hogan he doesn't have to love him to respect him, as where he comes from in Detroit, Michigan, you're only as big a man as your word. Nash tells Hogan he gave him his word then, and he's giving it now, as "nWo 4 Lyfe" means just that. Everyone makes up except for "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who is still angry with Eric Bischoff. Hogan then proclaims that Sting is on the boderline of getting stung as the crowd chants for him, then tells Savage that if he and Nash can see things the same way - while telling Nash he does not want to get it on with him - then Savage can bury the hatchet with Bischoff. Savage says he is willing to go with the flow, but just like how Bischoff is on probation with Ted Turner, he is on probation with him and Savage is on probation with Bischoff. Bischoff says that's good enough for him, and all is well with The New World Order...for now.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that last week, he and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper bonded, and The New World Order knows because the word is out that they're ready to play ball one more time. Flair then introduces Piper to the ring, who says that it is time to strike, and Flair says that Kevin Greene wants to join in on the fun. Piper then says that he saw the confusion within The New World Order, and says they smell like six dead otters in the drainpipe and can't wrestle. He then says that if Ric Flair says Kevin Greene is okay with him, that's gold in his book. Suddenly, Kevin Greene shows up out of the blue, and makes it known that he's got Piper and Flair's back. Te three of them then dance around in the ring together before leaving.

Dean Malenko retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship after a swift kick to the head. Jericho has to be tended to by medical staff after the match.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Jeff Jarrett! Chris Jericho! "The Crippler" Chris Benoit! The Taskmaster and Jacqueline! Lex Luger and The Giant!

High Voltage (Rage and Kaos) beat Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after Johnny Grunge sends himself through a table after Kaos rolls of it. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Public Enemy after the match. Grunge says it's all good, and Rocco Rock gives credit where credit is due, and challenges High Voltage to a Philadelphia Street Fighter next week after telling them they may have started something they can't finish.

Backstage, Prince Iaukea is tended to by medical staff, getting his rips taped up.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The Four Horsemen (Jeff Jarrett and a very late Steve "Mongo" McMichael) after Mongo shows up late, gets a few hits in, then tags Jarrett in order for Jarrett to fall victim to a Harlem Side Kick. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jarrett, Mongo and Debra McMichael, and Jarrett says that he is tired of Mongo making him out to be an idiot, and says "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair would not approve of his behavior tonight. Jarrett asks where Mongo was, but Mongo never answers his question and says he will get his due and everyone in the locker room should be afraid of him.

Lee Marshall calls from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

The Ultimate Dragon takes advantage of Prince Iaukea's injured ribs to beat Prince Iaukea and become WCW World Television Champion!

Scott Steiner is attacked by Konnan and Hugh Morrus of The Dungeon of Doom before the next match. The Giant shows up to help, and when Hugh Morrus hits The Giant in the back with a steel chair, it has no effect. Konnan and Hugh Morrus are forced to retreat, and the match is thrown out.

Diamond Dallas Page shows up, battered and bruised and with his right arm in a sling from his match at Spring Stampede. Page says that last night, he faced one of the biggest superstars in professional wrestling, and if anyone ever said that he would be in the main event two years ago, they would be nuts. Page considers himself an anomaly that wasn't supposed to happen, and it happened to "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He tells Savage that if he found him grabbing Kimberly by the hair and slapping her upside the head, he would have killed him. He takes his sling off, and tells Savage that if he has any guts, he would get in the ring and face him again right now. Savage shows up on crutches and without Miss Elizabeth, but "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan shows up and tells him "this one is on me." The rest of The New World Order shows up, and tells Savage that he's taken care of the New World Order, and now Hulk will take care of Savage by facing Page himself. As Hogan rips his shirt, Sting shows up in the rafters on a cable, and rappels down to the aisle. Sting stands between the ring and The New World Order, and he tosses the baseball bat to the ring, where Page catches it. He then pulls another bat out and points it at Hogan before joining Page in the ring.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 24, 1997

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Jeff Jarrett when McMichael smacks Jarrett in the back with the steel Halliburton briefcase, refusing to recognize Jarrett as a member of The Four Horsemen. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews the Horsemen. Mongo is still sore with Jarrett beating him at SuperBrawl VII, and doesn't exactly consider him "family." Flair tells Mongo they need team players and solidarity as he stays to his word that if Jarrett won, he would be a Horseman. Anderson says that The Dungeon of Doom and the New World Order are getting stronger, while they are getting weaker and Lex Luger and The Giant are now a team. Anderson admits that "The Crippler" Chris Benoit may never come back after what happened at SuperBrawl VII, before he tells Jarrett he earned his spot and commands Mongo and Jarrett to shake hands. Mongo says he'll mess with him, but he will make sure no one else will, and extends his hands. Jarrett and Mongo shake hands, then Anderson tells Jarrett that he has proven himself and that it is time to show the world. The Four Horsemen and Debra McMichael raise the four fingers in the air in a show of solidarity.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats Galaxy. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Duggan after the match, who is shocked by "Macho Man" Randy Savage turning on WCW, telling Savage that his heart is black. Duggan says he will not quit, stop or waver against the New World Order, as he tells "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage not to get his way or he'll trample them. After saying that he is not responsible for the attack on Big Bubba, he says that he will kick the front door down when he takes on the nWo.

The encore presentation of SuperBrawl VII will air on pay-per-view on the nights of February 26th and February 27th.

Hugh Morrus beats Joe Gomez.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) vs. High Voltage (Rage and Kaos)! Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) vs. The Amazing French-Canadians (Jacques Rougeau and Carl Ouelette)! Chris Jericho! Super Calo! Scotty Riggs!

We hear pre-recorded comments from Theodore Long, who says he sent Jacqueline a message, saying it was too much sacrificing herself for The Taskmaster and asking if The Taskmaster would do the same for her. She tells her to get out of their relationship before it's too late.

Ice Train beats La Parka.

The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) beat Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho after Meng stops the Lionsault and Dean Malenko rushes into the ring to push Eddie Guerrero off the top rope during his frog splash in response to inadvertently costing him the Cruiserweight title at SuperBrawl VII.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera.

Lee Marshall calls from Atlanta, Georgia - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

Prince Iaukea beats Pat Tanaka.

The Ultimate Dragon beats Dean Malenko by disqualification after Malenko snaps and chokes the life out of Ultimate Dragon, not letting go when the referee tells him to. Sonny Onoo gets on the apron to stop Malenko, but Malenko turns around and forearms him. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Malenko, and tells him that Eddie Guerrero was only trying to help him at SuperBrawl VII. Malenko says he is sick, tired and fed up with the lack of respect he has gotten recently. He tells Syxx he hasn't forgotten about him and what he said about his dad, and he plans to take the Cruiserweight title back from him. He then accuses Eddie of stealing the Cruiserweight title from him before leaving.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) approach the ring just before Diamond Dallas Page hits "Squire" David Taylor with the Diamond Cutter. Nash and Hall get on the apron, while "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with a can of black spray paint to attack Page from behind. A fan gets in the ring to fight the three of them, but he gets chased out of the ring before he is apprehended by security and ejected from the building. Savage then spray paints "nWo" on DDP's back, then Savage puts on an nWo tanktop before Hall and Nash position DDP for a top rope elbow drop from Savage.

After the commercial break, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are still in the ring as Diamond Dallas Page is being taken out of the arena on a stretcher. Hall then welcomes the crowd to another edition of "nWo Monday Nitro." He then asks for a round of applause for Savage, then says that the New World Order isn't stopping there, as they introduce "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan to the ring. Hall congratulates the nWo on a job well done at SuperBrawl VII, then Hogan says that the nWo is on a roll and compliments Sacramento on loving to party just like them. Hogan tells Savage that he should be justly rewarded for SuperBrawl VII, and award him with Miss Elizabeth, who is smiling for the first time in months as she, Eric Bischoff and Ted DiBiase head to the ring. Hall announces that all is well in the nWo, as when you're nWo, you're nWo for life and everyone in the nWo knows it. He then proclaims that Sacramento, California is "nWo territory."

Eric Bischoff shows up before Lex Luger and The Giant can have a tag team match against Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray), and he shows up with the entire New World Order. He says he has a problem, but it is a very simple one to fix. He tells Lex Luger and The Giant that they are out of order, as the tag team titles belong to The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall). He says that Lex Luger was not cleared to compete at SuperBrawl VII, and wants the tag team titles back. Luger tells Bischoff that he'll have to put him on a stretcher to take the titles back, and gives him a proposition: he'll hand them the belt if every belt in WCW is put on the line at Uncensored. Eric Bischoff says they have a deal, and they hand over the tag team titles to Bischoff. He then tells Bischoff to put his best team together. Bischoff says they've got the stuff, and Scott Hall says they're easy to find as the nWo is "packing all the gold." Sting then shows up, baseball bat in hand, as Luger proposes that Bischoff put his team together right now, and Sting gets in the ring. He stands between WCW and nWo, then stares down "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. Hogan hugs Sting, and it appears that Sting has joined the New World Order.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for September 30, 1996

At the start of the show, Eric Bischoff is at the commentary table. Bischoff says that the war between WCW and nWo is about the history of the company that dates back to the beginning of the NWA in 1905. He calls the New World World "dirtbags" and calls bringing Hulk Hogan the worst mistake he has ever made in the five or six years he has been with the company. He says that he and the company have had enough of The New World Order's antics and that it's time for them to stop.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Juventud Guerrera and El Technico. El Technico is put through a table by Public Enemy after the match, then Public Enemy leaves through the stands.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan hawks the "Where The Big Boys" T-Shirt...only $19.95 plus $5.95 shipping and handling!

Mike Tenay interviews "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Debra McMichael backstage. Despite not being scheduled to wrestle tonight, he makes it clear that if you see one of the Four Horsemen, you see them all. Debra McMichael reminds us that Mongo got his Super Bowl ring by being a team player. Benoit says Rick Steiner is a great wrestler with quite the reputation, but he plans to make a statement that The Four Horsemen are unparalleled, elite and perennial.

In another nWo announcement, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has a boy in his lap as he announces that "Nasty Nick at Nite" has made a deal with his mom that allows him to stay up every night from 8 to 10 PM eastern for every "nWo Monday Nitro" from here on out. The New World Order celebrates in the penthouse suite of the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, as Ted DiBiase states that WCW is paying for this announcement because they lost at War Games. Scott Hall welcomes the stars of World Championship Wrestling back from Japan, and "Sting" is deemed the best impostor in professional wrestling. Kevin Nash asks "Isn't it funny that you never see Bill Marriott and H. Ross Perot in the same spot?" Syxx dials room service.

Dean Malenko heads to the ring with the mask he yanked off of Rey Mysterio's face when Mike Tenay interviews Rey on WCW Saturday Night.

Alex Wright beats Dean Malenko with a surprise cradle pin. During the match, it is announced that Sting is not here and that he has not been seen since deserting Lex Luger and WCW after recent events.

Mike Tenay interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage at the entrance ramp...almost. Savage doesn't show up, and Mike Tenay has no idea what's going on.

You can get a customized Slim Jim monster truck or a trip to Vegas you and three of your friends including tickets to Halloween Havoc in the Slim Jim Halloween Havoc sweepstakes. Just go to your local convenience store and look for the Slim Jim Snap 2 Win Sweepstakes display! We even see the WCW race car in Halloween Havoc colors, and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair nearly steals the scene.

Eddie Guerrero beats Jim Powers with a German suplex bridge pin despite Jim Powers getting the shoulders up just in time. During the match, U.S. Olympic Greco-Wrestling Silver medalist Matt Ghaffari is seen in the front row, referee Nick Patrick is now seen wearing a neck brace after being attacked by "Macho Man" Randy Savage over the weekend on WCW Saturday Night, and the nWo street team is seen carrying signs while moving around in the stands. After the match, Theodore Long argues that Power kicked up in time and that Eddie Guerrero's shoulders were also down during the pin, and Nick Patrick tells him to get the blue shirt and bowtie if he wants to question his authority when Teddy Long asks him if he needs to go back to wrestling school. Teddy Long takes that challenge.

The New World Order is watching Nitro when The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) show up to "talk business." Room service brings food, and Sags says that this is more than WCW ever did for them before making fun of Eric Bischoff.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) vs. The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael)! Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) vs Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock)! Jim Powers vs. Disco Inferno! Dean Malenko! Eddie Guerrero!

Mike Tenay interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Woman and Miss Elizabeth. Anderson and Woman question Miss Elizabeth about her actions last week on Nitro and Saturday Night, and Anderson says that if you're a Horseman, you're one all the way. Anderson says he has an opponent tonight as well as Lex Luger at Halloween Havoc, and Aderson tells Elizabeth that there is no gray area and that if you're a Horseman, you're a Horseman 100%.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Hugh Morrus beats Brad Armstrong.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Woman are still having problems with Miss Elizabeth backstage.

Eric Bischoff leaves the commentary table due to the tense situation, and to try to find out what hotel The New World Order is at. Tony Schiavone replaces Bischoff on commentary, and is behind Bischoff and what he is doing right now 100%.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Woman head to the ring without Miss Elizabeth. Miss Elizabeth is later spotted watching the match on a monitor backstage near the ring entrance.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beats Chris Jericho.

Miss Elizabeth is seen leaving the arena alone.

Lex Luger beats V.K. Wallstreet (now known as Michael Wallstreet) with the Torture Rack.

Tony Schiavone gives a peace offering to Sting on behalf of World Championship Wrestling, and announces that the WCW Motorsports car is the Sting Motorsports Car. The car will be at the All-Pro Bumper-To-Bumper event in the Busch Grand National Series and will be driven by Elliot Sadler.

The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) when Gibson is too focused on getting his hands on Jimmy Hart. During the match, Tony Schiavone announces that The New World Order are at the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. After the match, The Faces of Fear attack the Rock 'n Roll Express, and when Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) rush into the ring, The Faces of Fear work on the injured leg of Johnny Grunge.

At the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, the Don Perignon is about to be delivered to The New World Order, and we learn that Kyle Petty really is driving the nWo car. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says that he will beat "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Halloween Havoc.

Nick Patrick says that he doesn't see anyone else in WCW working hurt, and insists that he will be the law in the ring whenever he's around.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Rick Steiner after Steve "Mongo" McMichael blasts Steiner in the back with his briefcase.

Miss Elizabeth is in the Marriott Hotel penthouse suite with The New World Order as The Giant announces that he has done two movies, one of them with Arnold Schwarzenegger and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan tries to get Miss Elizabeth to join their side. Miss Elizabeth says that "everything has changed since this deal was made," then Vincent shows up with a gift box. Miss Elizabeth leaves, but she runs into "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who confronts her and thinks she has joined The New World Order, especially after seeing the piece of paper that she drops.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for August 19, 1996

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats V.K. Wallstreet with a taped fist. He pulls the tape out of the tights, but the referee takes it away from him and V.K. Wallstreet puts it around his fist. However, Duggan pulls out more tape, tapes the fist up and lets Wallstreet have it. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Duggan, and Duggan tells Hogan he wants to talk to him as a man, wanting to know why he's turned his back on everybody. "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up and says he and Duggan are on the same wavelength, and says he's got a problem with Hulk Hogan and he's going to get it taken care of. He plans to make things happen and not hang back even a little bit when it comes to Hogan. Savage says The Giant didn't take care of everything after he stepped aside and Hogan now has the World title, and now he's got a problem with The Giant.

:The Cripller" Chris Benoit beats "Earl" Robert Eaton.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting and Lex Luger. They've got a little surprise for The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) and they're going at it with a new plan. Sting tells Flair and Anderson that life in WCW has never been a cakewalk, and they've got a surprise for them.

Scott "Flash" Norton beats Disco Inferno with a Flashback followed by a single arm bar.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Theodore Long and Ice Train. Teddy thanks everyone for the well wishes for a speedy recovery, and says Scott "Flash" Norton didn't beat Ice Train due to Nick Patrick calling the match. Ice Train tells Norton he can't attack him from behind and that he'll have to face him eventually, and he won't be wrapped up in tape for long.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: "Squire" David Taylor vs. Lex Luger for the WCW Television Championship! Dean Malenko vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship!

Dean Malenko beats "Lord" Steven Regal.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderosn and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Anderson knows Sting and Lex Luger hates them, but at least he has guts and he has never had to have a weapon in his back pocket to feel tough. He says Sting and Lex Luger have rolled with them for 10 years, and tonight won't be any different. Flair says that tonight, Luger and Sting will be styling and profiling with them. As the pyro goes off to signal the second hour, Flair tells Hulk Hogan that if he's watching tonight, then he should know that Flair has more playing time than Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan or Hogan.

The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) beat Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after Public Enemy accidentally put themselves through a table. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Nasty Boys after the match. Sags says that everyone who enters Nastyville will leave Nastyville face down like Public Enemy, be it WCW or nWo. Knobbs says Hulk Hogan can go do his thing while they do theirs, and that The Nasty Boys are ready to be tag team champs for a fourth time.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. beats Diamond Dallas Page after reversing the Diamond Cutter into a backslide pin. An angry DDP rips the belt off the pants of referee Nick Anderson and whips Chavo with it, and referee Randy Anderson has to stop Diamond Dallas Page. Patrick defends himself yet again to "Mean" Gene Okerlund, saying it wouldn't be the best option to go it alone. As for the recent accusations, he blames them all on Okerlund, saying it's all his fault the media is blowing everything out of proportion and that WCW is fractured.

Fall Brawl is coming to pay-per-view Sunday, September 15th!

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs).

Before the next match, Sting wants Steve "Mongo" McMichael and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit to come down to the ring as he knows they will show up. After the commercial break, "Mean" Gene Okerlund shows up to make heads or tails of the situation. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson says if Sting has something to say, then let him say it. Sting says he and Luger can keep going at it with the Horsemen. He knows he and Luger can't trust them, but knows they are as much WCW as he and Luger. He says that War Games will happen in 30 days, and it was created for The Horsemen by The Horsemen, and demands that he and Flair take two of the slots in War Games with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Anderson says he doesn't like Sting and Luger and that they don't share his philosophy, and tells Luger to bring power and dedication with him to War Games if he is to survive. Luger says he knows Anderson and Flair knows he doesn't let up. Anderson then asks Sting for one night not to do the ring thing and to get down in the gutter and do something so violent and painful that the other man is forced to quit, then says when he gets in War Games with The Outsiders (Hall and Nash), they'll have to kill him because he will never quit. Sting says WCW has never been a cakewalk, and that he has lived the life of WCW. Flair says he knows Sting and Luger better than anyone else, and if Benoit and Mongo are willing to step aside, he'll walk the path, otherwise Benoit and Mongo are part of the team. Benoit says he will respect their decision, while Mongo says he is willing to sacrifice but will be watching Sting and Luger to make sure they hold up the end of the bargain, otherwise the nWo will be a walk in the park. Anderson tells Sting and Luger they have a deal, and Sting and Luger join Flair and Anderson in War Games.

We see another announcement paid for by the New World Order where Hall and Nash are out and about in Denver. They brag about taking the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and leaving The Giant laying. They say they don't someone like The Booty Man as part of their team, then make fun of Sting and Lex Luger.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage attacks The Giant with a steel chair before their match can begin. The Giant makes quick work of Savage, who manages to take down Jimmy Hart and take his steel chair to swat Hugh Morrus and Big Bubba before hitting The Giant, Meng and The Barbarian with it before rushing out of the ring. The Giant quickly runs to the back to look for Savage. Also, Sting and Lex Luger teaming up with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at War Games is official for Fall Brawl.

Monday, June 24, 1996

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for June 24, 1996

Eric Bischoff is still recuperating and is not on commentary for the second week in a row.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting, Lex Luger and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Savage and Luger are wearing facepaint matching Sting's. Savage admits the three of them are focused in different directions, but they're still united and they plan to divide and conquer. Savage leaves, then Sting says he doesn't mind anyone walking into WCW to make a statement, but a grown man does not come to make a statement to a commentator. Sting wants to know why Razor Ramon says he has three guys yet only produces two. Luger says that they are unified as a team, and that WCW stands tall and strong, and that Razor and Diesel are about to find out what a war is all about. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) show up and tell Sting and Luger that if they need someone to have their back, they'll be there down the line...but tonight, however, the tag team titles are on the line. Suddenly, Harlem Heat (booker T and Stevie Ray) show up with a score to settle with Lex Luger from weeks ago. This leads to a shouting match between the three teams.

We see pre-recorded comments from Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock), where the duo challenge The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) to a double dog collars match with tag team tornado rules at Bash at the Beach. When they come to the ring, they come with a pair of dog collars connected to each other with a steel chain.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock") beat The Blue Bloods ("Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor) after Johnny Grunge hits David Taylor with the cast on his right hand. During the match, it is announced that Razor Ramon and Diesel are in the parking lot and have made their way to the arena.

The Taskmaster fights Kip Abee in the audience, the concession stand and in front of the nearby Subway. Thankfully, the match-turned-brawl does not go into the ladies' restroom. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, who says that he and The Taskmaster came to Charlotte, North Carolina, and walked in and out alive. Taskmaster joins Jimmy Hart soon after, and he tells "The Crippler" Chris Benoit that he and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson are coming to his turf at Bash at the Beach. Okerlund reminds The Taskmaster that if he or The Giant loses the night after on Nitro, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. The Taskmaster knows that everybody wants "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to face The Giant for the World title, but it's not going to happen. Jimmy Hart says that if he hears "Woman, oh woman, won't you marry me now" or "I'm going to Space Mountain" one more time, he'll choke himself to death.

Dean Malenko beats "Hardwork" Bobby Walker. During the match, Disco Inferno shows up to show off his gold record for selling one million copies of his "Shake Your Booty" CD, then his music hits and he dances on the turnbuckle. This distracts Walker after he comes out of a monkey flip in the corner from Malenko, and Malenko drop kicks Walker from behind into Disco, knocking Disco out of the ring. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Dean Malenko, who tells Disco to back off. Disco says this show is about television ratings, and that he just hit gold and everybody wants to see him dance. He says Malenko and Walker were not having a good night, and that Malenko was "stinkin' up the joint." He figured it was the perfect time to get down, and if Malenko has a problem, then excuse him. He celebrates his gold record again, saying that Malenko is the man of a thousand holds, but he just sold a million CD's before walking out. Malenko tells him he's the man of a thousand holds, but it's only going to take one to finish him off.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Sting, Lex Luger and Macho Man in six-man tag action! Rey Mysterio Jr.! "Earl" Robert Eaton vs. John Tenta!

Eddie Guerrero beats The Barbarian after The Barbarian slips off the top rope during a vertical suplex and Eddie manages to pin him. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eddie, who says he wants another shot at the United States Heavyweight Championship. As for "the invasion," he says Razor Ramon and Diesel are coming here with disrespect towards WCW, and wishes he was one of the three men facing them. He wishes Sting, Lex Luger and "Macho Man" Randy Savage his best.

Fireworks go off to signal the second hour.

The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) after Steve "Mongo" McMichael hits Robert Gibson with his briefcase. After the match, Joe Gomez rushes in and attacks The Horsemen in revenge for postponing his debut, but McMichael smacks him with the briefcase, too. "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Kevin Greene show up and chase The Horsemen out.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair along with Debra McMichael, Miss Elizabeth and Woman. Flair is glad that the Four Horsemen are back and in full force, and tells both "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Kevin Greene that he and the women are secured and under guard, and tonight business will be mixed with pleasure. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael - who has a new ring - show up. McMichael says that nobody can stop the Horsemen at this rate.

Diamond Dallas Page beats "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, then gets interviewed by "Mean" Gene Okerlund. It is announced that DDP will be facing "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in a Taped Fist Match at Bash at the Beach. He considers him being put in the match a conspiracy theory to hold him down, as nobdoy has beaten Duggan in a taped fist match. He dares Duggan to tape his entire body, as Duggan won't take his "Lord of the Ring" title from him.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kevin Greene, who has some unfinished business with Steve "Mongo" McMichael for his turning on him at The Great American Bash. Greene says Mongo sold him out for the money, and thought that they were partners. He has a game plan: kick ass with the Carolina Panthers, and that he'll remember Mongo's "backstabbing slimy face" with everything he does. In the offseason, he's going on a Mongo hunt, and when that's done, him, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and two more superpowers from WCW are going to get some payback in a big way.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats V.K. Wallstreet when Kevin Greene sends Wallstreet into the post outside of the ring.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and the team of Sting and Lex Luger to become the WCW World Tag Team Championships...and the win almost goes unnoticed. During the match, Razor Ramon and Diesel show up with aluminum baseball bats in their hand, and as policemen surround the ring to keep them from entering, Booker T gets Lex Luger in a schoolboy pin while Stevie Ray holds his legs during the chaos. (The pinfall can be seen on the left side of the screen.) The policemen stay in the ring, keeping Razor and Diesel from entering the ring, and Razor and Diesel slowly back away.
