At the start of the show, Eric Bischoff is at the commentary table. Bischoff says that the war between WCW and nWo is about the history of the company that dates back to the beginning of the NWA in 1905. He calls the New World World "dirtbags" and calls bringing Hulk Hogan the worst mistake he has ever made in the five or six years he has been with the company. He says that he and the company have had enough of The New World Order's antics and that it's time for them to stop.
Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Juventud Guerrera and El Technico. El Technico is put through a table by Public Enemy after the match, then Public Enemy leaves through the stands.

Mike Tenay interviews "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Debra McMichael backstage. Despite not being scheduled to wrestle tonight, he makes it clear that if you see one of the Four Horsemen, you see them all. Debra McMichael reminds us that Mongo got his Super Bowl ring by being a team player. Benoit says Rick Steiner is a great wrestler with quite the reputation, but he plans to make a statement that The Four Horsemen are unparalleled, elite and perennial.
In another nWo announcement, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has a boy in his lap as he announces that "Nasty Nick at Nite" has made a deal with his mom that allows him to stay up every night from 8 to 10 PM eastern for every "nWo Monday Nitro" from here on out. The New World Order celebrates in the penthouse suite of the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, as Ted DiBiase states that WCW is paying for this announcement because they lost at War Games. Scott Hall welcomes the stars of World Championship Wrestling back from Japan, and "Sting" is deemed the best impostor in professional wrestling. Kevin Nash asks "Isn't it funny that you never see Bill Marriott and H. Ross Perot in the same spot?" Syxx dials room service.
Dean Malenko heads to the ring with the mask he yanked off of Rey Mysterio's face when Mike Tenay interviews Rey on WCW Saturday Night.
Alex Wright beats Dean Malenko with a surprise cradle pin. During the match, it is announced that Sting is not here and that he has not been seen since deserting Lex Luger and WCW after recent events.
Mike Tenay interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage at the entrance ramp...almost. Savage doesn't show up, and Mike Tenay has no idea what's going on.

Eddie Guerrero beats Jim Powers with a German suplex bridge pin despite Jim Powers getting the shoulders up just in time. During the match, U.S. Olympic Greco-Wrestling Silver medalist Matt Ghaffari is seen in the front row, referee Nick Patrick is now seen wearing a neck brace after being attacked by "Macho Man" Randy Savage over the weekend on WCW Saturday Night, and the nWo street team is seen carrying signs while moving around in the stands. After the match, Theodore Long argues that Power kicked up in time and that Eddie Guerrero's shoulders were also down during the pin, and Nick Patrick tells him to get the blue shirt and bowtie if he wants to question his authority when Teddy Long asks him if he needs to go back to wrestling school. Teddy Long takes that challenge.
The New World Order is watching Nitro when The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) show up to "talk business." Room service brings food, and Sags says that this is more than WCW ever did for them before making fun of Eric Bischoff.

Anderson and Woman question Miss Elizabeth about her actions last week on Nitro and Saturday Night, and Anderson says that if you're a Horseman, you're one all the way. Anderson says he has an opponent tonight as well as Lex Luger at Halloween Havoc, and Aderson tells Elizabeth that there is no gray area and that if you're a Horseman, you're a Horseman 100%.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Hugh Morrus beats Brad Armstrong.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Woman are still having problems with Miss Elizabeth backstage.
Eric Bischoff leaves the commentary table due to the tense situation, and to try to find out what hotel The New World Order is at. Tony Schiavone replaces Bischoff on commentary, and is behind Bischoff and what he is doing right now 100%.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Woman head to the ring without Miss Elizabeth. Miss Elizabeth is later spotted watching the match on a monitor backstage near the ring entrance.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beats Chris Jericho.
Miss Elizabeth is seen leaving the arena alone.
Lex Luger beats V.K. Wallstreet (now known as Michael Wallstreet) with the Torture Rack.
Tony Schiavone gives a peace offering to Sting on behalf of World Championship Wrestling, and announces that the WCW Motorsports car is the Sting Motorsports Car. The car will be at the All-Pro Bumper-To-Bumper event in the Busch Grand National Series and will be driven by Elliot Sadler.
The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) when Gibson is too focused on getting his hands on Jimmy Hart. During the match, Tony Schiavone announces that The New World Order are at the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. After the match, The Faces of Fear attack the Rock 'n Roll Express, and when Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) rush into the ring, The Faces of Fear work on the injured leg of Johnny Grunge.
At the Marriott Hotel in Cleveland, the Don Perignon is about to be delivered to The New World Order, and we learn that Kyle Petty really is driving the nWo car. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says that he will beat "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Halloween Havoc.
Nick Patrick says that he doesn't see anyone else in WCW working hurt, and insists that he will be the law in the ring whenever he's around.
"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Rick Steiner after Steve "Mongo" McMichael blasts Steiner in the back with his briefcase.
Miss Elizabeth is in the Marriott Hotel penthouse suite with The New World Order as The Giant announces that he has done two movies, one of them with Arnold Schwarzenegger and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan tries to get Miss Elizabeth to join their side. Miss Elizabeth says that "everything has changed since this deal was made," then Vincent shows up with a gift box. Miss Elizabeth leaves, but she runs into "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who confronts her and thinks she has joined The New World Order, especially after seeing the piece of paper that she drops.
