The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom vs. High Voltage (Rage and Kaos) ends when The Giant shows up and choke slams all four men. The Giant then tells "Rowdy" Roddy Piper that if he wants mean, he's got mean.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who shows up with The Giant. Piper says he now has a mean giant for Spring Stampede, and says there will be no bats until then. He tells Kevin Nash that if he thinks he's a giant, then so did the Titanic. Piper then says he hates waiting for things, and talks Nash arguing with "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan on last week's Thunder. He then says Nash will get back in the ring with Sting and Lex Luger, but his partner cannot be Hogan. He then says we'll see who smashes Nash before Spring Stampede. Piper then addresses Hogan, saying that Hogan is the one stirring the pot all along, and also mentions that the mysterious bearded nWo member is E. Harrison Leslie, aka Brutus Beefcake, aka The Zodiac, aka The Booty Man. Piper says that he's taking Hogan on in the ring tonight, and says that it's going to be "fight for your life," not "nWo 4 life."
Saturn beats Fit Finley with the Rings of Saturn.

Scott Hudson reports from Tampa, Florida - the site for this Thursday's show - for the Starburst Fruit Chews Road Report.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, backed up by the New World Order. Bischoff says he feels nothing but love in "the house that Hollywood built," and Hogan says he was in the back with the nWo when "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was in the ring, and has three things for him. The first is that if Piper he wants to get in the ring with him tonight, he can come on down as he has a surprise in store for him. The second is that the crowd of people who worship him. The third is that the mysterious bearded man has followed him for years, and deems him "The Disciple" and the leader of all the people who follow him. He calls The Disciple the #1 man who worships the ground he walks on, then tells Piper he will bury him along with all his tricks, verbage and backstory tonight, and that all Piper needs to know is that The Disciple is here to cover his back when Piper, Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage want to "cheat and backstab people." and he needs an even playing field. Hogan then address Kevin Nash - who is not in the ring - and admits they have had a few disagreements. He hasn't forgotten Nash booting him in the face, and tells Nash to get a partner so the nWo can see what he's made of, as he's not getting him or the rest of the nWo members for a partner. It doesn't take long for Nash to show up. Nash tells Hogan to take heed to what Savage said, as there may be one - or there may be many - waiting to stick a knife is back. He tells Hogan not to worry about him, as he'll shoot him right between the eyes. Hogan tells Nash that at the pay-per-view, if he covers his back, he'll cover Nash's, and they'll take care of any problems between them afterwards. For now, though, Nash doesn't have a partner, and he won't be able to find one in the nWo. Nash says he has a partner already, and tells Hogan to spend the rest of the night figuring out who it is before mockingly calling him "brother."
It is announced that this week, Thunder is pre-empted, but there will be "Malice at the Palace" at the Ice Palace in Tampa, FLorida from 7-11 PM Eastern time Thursday night, streaming in real audio live only on the internet at WCWWrestling.com.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho comes out with a cup of water and tears up a sign saying "I came here for Monday Night Jericho," then dedicates the next match to the memory of Dean Malenko, saying Malenko let a lot of people - including himself - down when he quit and went home after he beat him at Uncensored. Jericho says Malenko isn't the first or lost to submit to the Lion Tamer, but he was the first to take his ball and go home. He tells Malenko he claims he was trained by the best, and asks if Malenko has shamed his father's memory enough as his father wasn't a quitter like him. Jericho then kisses Malenko and his career goodbye, and quotes Hanson by saying "Mmmbop, it's gone."
Chris Jericho retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship with the Lion Tamer. Jericho pulls out a large stack of paper consisting of 1,000 holds that he claims Dean Malenko really has, and reads off every single on them. This continues even after the break is over, and "arm bar" is mentioned on the list multiple times. Pyrotechnics signal the second hour, but Jericho is still in the ring reading off the list as this happens. When Prince Iaukea shows up for his match, Jericho refuses to leave the ring and continues to read from the list until Iaukea yanks the microphone from him, and tells Iaukea that Malenko's father trained him and that he will not let him dishonor his memory. Jericho runs away with his list of holds, and says "I still got 200 more!" as he leaves.
Prince Iaukea beats Glacier with a Northern Lights suplex pin after catching Glacier on his way down from the top rope.

This week's Nitro Party Pack winner is Scott Wilson and the students of Waupakaneto High School in Waupakaneto, Ohio. We see some footage of their Nitro party.
Juventud Guerrera beats El Dandy. Raven's Flock is briefly seen in the front row during the match.
Chavo Guerrero Jr. beats Kaz Hayashi. After the match, Chavo helps Hayashi up and shakes his hand before leaving.
Before the next match, Raven says there have been some complains over the last eight months that what he's been saying has not been easy to understand because of his excessively large vocabulary and his high level of diction. Tonight, he will put what he has to say in terms so clear that everyone, even those of limited intelligence, will know exactly what he means. He tells Diamond Dallas Page to listen especially close, as he should understand his problems as he knows them better than anyone. He was voted "Most Unpopular" in high school, and his father never spent time with him. He says Page picked him up from the hospital the first time the first time he got out of rehab, and says Page should know his pain but does not. Four years ago, when WCW let Page go, they said they'd never be anybody, much less a superstar, and that he was the one to lend him a shoulder to cry on. When Page had a problem of any nature, he was the one to listen to him on the telephone. HE then tells Page, "What about Raven? What about me?" Raven says he spent three years in "barbed wire city," being torn apart, put through tables and hit with frying pans and chairs, and says Page could have prevented it by calling him into WCW as a favor but didn't because he was jealous and scared of Raven being a bigger star than him. Raven then says he should have listened to "the Snake," as he says that Page would turn his back on him when he became a star. He says times are different, as he felt Page's pain and says Page will feel his. He ends by saying "Quoth the Raven, United States Champion, forevermore" despite not being the official United States champ.
Buff Bagwell beats Raven by count-out when Raven runs out through the crowd as Diamond Dallas Page goes after him, security in tow. Page then briefly joins the commentary table, and says he's here to straighten a few things out and "air some of this Raven-Page saga in its proper context." Page says he and Raven both helped each other, and the only problem that emphasizes everything is that Raven has a selective memory that goes back to his childhood. After calling Raven "Poor little Scotty," he says Raven was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and that he had an upper-class upbringing, and that his father didn't look out for him and Raven is starving for attention. He then says that after airing Raven's dirty laundry, he'll talk about his, and says his mom had three kids before she was 20 and divorced, and had to live with his father, which led to him being bounced from family to family. Page says he doesn't even remember the first eight years of his life, but he's okay with that as he learned how to turn negatives into positives while Raven turns positives into negatives. He tells Raven he doesn't even know what hardship is after all he's been through, and says hardship is that guy who works at the nine-to-five job he absolutely hates and goes to the job he hates even more to make it all work. He says it's the mom whose husband walked out on her and her kids and is forced to restructure her life. He tells Raven his "hardships" are nothing but crap, and tells him to weight it out before leaving the table.
Disco Inferno beats Kidman.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.
Rick Rude boots Mike Tenay to guest on commentary for the next match.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beats Curt Hennig by disqualification. Rick Rude gets in the ring, shoves referee Scott Dickinson down, and after Hennig helps him escape a bear hug, handcuffs Neidhart to the middle rope before the two of them beat him down. The British Bulldog rushes in and goes after Hennig, but Brian Adams runs into the ring and hits Bulldog with a piledriver. Roode chokes out Neidhart with is belt, and Scott Dickinson finally comes to and calls for a bell before Brian Adams punches him out. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart gts in the ring and fights off Adams, Hennig and Roode. After Adams, Hennig and Rude retreat, WCW Head of Security frees Neidhart from the handcuffs, and Bret says taht stuff like what just happened is coming to an end. As far as the nWo goes, he will tear them down brick by brick until he gets to the very end, and says that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's time is coming sooner than later.
In a rematch from last week, Booker T and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit wrestle to a time limit draw for a second time, and Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship. The crowd chants "Bullshit!" almost immediately after the bell rings. During the match, it is announced that Prince Iaukea will face Chris Jericho for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship at Spring Stampede, and that Curt Hennig will face The British Bulldog at the event.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Ultimo Dragon vs. Psychosis is thrown out after Psychosis is attacked by Raven's Flock. Both Ultimo Dragon and Psychosis work together to keep Raven's Flock out of the ring.
Goldberg beats Ray Traylor. After the match, Hammer and Reese have to hold Saturn back when he jumps the guardrail to get a piece of Goldberg.
Before the next match, Kevin Nash shows up alone. As Sting and Lex Luger show up while waiting for Kevin Nash's partner, Sting is attacked from behind by "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Kevin Nash confirms that Savage is his partner as soon as he and Savage are in the ring at the same time.
Kevin Nash and "Macho Man" Randy Savage beat Sting and Lex Luger. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan goes after Sting, but Sting fights back. As Luger gets Nash in the Torture Rack, The Disciple shows up and lays Luger out with a jawbreaker before putting Nash's hand on top of Luger as the referee is preoccupied with Hogan. After the match, Piper goes after Hogan with a belt, but Hogan gets the belt around Piper's neck thanks to The Disciple, as the two of them double-team Piper on their way to the back.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper take their backstage fight back to the ring, and The Disciple also joins in.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan by disqualification after The Disciple attacks Piper during the sleeper. The Disciple then lays Piper out with the same jawbreaker that he used to lay out Lex Luger earlier (which is known as The Apocalypse), then Kevin Nash shows up and holds Piper up so that Hogan can hit him. Piper ducks and Hogan accidentally hits Nash, and The Giant shows up with only one kneepad on to clear the ring and save Piper. Hogan and The Disciple confront Nash outside of the ring, and Hogan tells Piper and The Giant he'll deal with them at the pay-per-view.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 16, 1998
The New World Order shows up. Eric Bischoff says that just when everyone though there would be a split in the nWo, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan saved the day for the family. Hogan says he's got his family with him, and is proud to have "the real giant" Kevin Nash with him and to have been behind him all the way, saying that Kevin Nash would have beaten The Giant in an army wrestling match as The Giant would have been stooping low enough to cheat. He then says that Kevin Nash beat The Giant, and everyone in the nWo bows down to him. He then focuses on "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who he says he loves like a brother, saying that Savage put him to the test by crossing the line with him. He welcomes him back into the fold after he beat Savage in the steel cage within an inch of his life, and says that while Savage is stubborn, his stubbornness is one of his endearing qualities and one of the things that the nWo likes about him. Now that the nWo is all together, Hogan has a surprise for Savage: a signed contract for a tag team match with the team of Savage and Hogan against the team of Sting and Lex Luger later tonight. He says that this match will be the chance for Savage to put the icing on the cake and prove he is part of the fold again. Eric Bischoff then addresses Sting, saying there's no rafters to hide above and no way to hide in the water below, but Hogan tells Bischoff that Savage told him that Sting isn't even here.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls. It is announced that the encore for Uncensored is tomorrow night on pay-per-view.
Bill Goldberg - now known as just plain Goldberg - beats Lodi in seconds while the rest of Raven's Flock (Saturn, Scotty Riggs, Hammer, Kidman, Sick Boy, the unnamed big man). After the match, everyone else in the Flock fights Goldberg, but none of them are able to do anything.

When Bischoff welcomes Savage back, Savage takes the microphone, tells Bischoff he never left, and that he did what he did to Sting last night for him, not for Bischoff or Hogan, and did it for life. He tells Bischoff - and tells Bischoff to tell Hogan - he will beat Sting for the World title and control nWo, and the nWo will control the world. Then, Hogan will now what it feels like to be at the bottom of the pecking order.
Before the next match, Raven says "The Crippler" Chris Benoit cost him the United States title, and because of Benoit, Diamond Dallas Page is still the champion. He calls Benoit "a brave and valiant warrior," but it's time for him to fulfill his destiny, and that it's time for their feud to end and that he must feel the Evenflow. As for DDP, it didn't have to be like this, and they could have ruled wrestling side by side, but he deserted him and there can be only one. He says "The Snake" is watching, and that he would want it that way.
Raven beats "The Crippler" Chris Benoit in a Raven's Rules grudge match with an Evenflow DDT into a steel chair to go on to face Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW United States Championship at Spring Stampede.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, this time in the balcony seats and with plenty of silly string.
Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Yuji Nagata.
We see yet another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Scott Steiner beats Ray Traylor with the Steiner Recliner after Buff Bagwell shows up and pushes Ray Traylor off the top rope. During the match, Traylor tosses Steiner into the Club La Veda pool. After the match, Buff Bagwell whips Traylor with a leather belt.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, followed by pyrotechnics signalling the start of the third hour.
Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero gives his nephew Chavo Guerrero, Jr. a gift as part of their reconciliation, but Chavo refuses to wear it when he finds that it says "My favorite wrestler is Eddy Guerrero" on the front and "Cheat To Win" on the back. Eddie tells him it's part of their reconciliation, and forces him to wear the T-shirt, which Chavo reluctantly does.
Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Reese. During the match, it is announced that the music video for "Rising" by Stuck Mojo, feature Diamond Dallas Page and Raven's Flock, will premiere on MTV Live on April 18th.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho welcomes everyone to "Monday Night Jericho" before running down everything he's taken: Rey Mysterio Jr.'s knee, Juventud Guerrera's mask, the Cruiserweight title and Dean Malenko's dignity. He mocks Malenko saying he was going home after losing to him at Uncensored. He also says his future is so bright he's got to wear shades, and he is going known for generations to come not as an icon or legend, but as a legacy. He also plans to take Malenko's Texas Cloverleaf, re-christen it the Jericho Maple Leaf and make it hold #1,005 just for the Jerichoholics.

He then calls The Giant out, saying he's in a good mood and he and Hall want to beat him up. The Giant shows up, now without a neck brace, and when he chases after Hall and Nash, Nash does a cannonball into the pool, and The Giant chases after Hall. Hall trips on some camera wires, and The Giant grabs him and tosses him into the pool.
Before the next match, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are visibly at odds with each other, and Eric Bischoff has to play peacemaker. After Lex Luger shows up, Eric Bischoff says that Sting isn't coming and that Lex Luger is dinner for the nWo, who have "one hell of an appetite." Suddenly, a helicopter is seen flying low above the ring, and Sting rappels down from it into the ring. Hogan confronts Savage for not getting the job, and the mysterious bearded nWo member shows up to stop Savage from escaping to the back.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for January 15, 1998
Tony Schiavone interviews The Giant in the ring to start tonight's show. The Giant says this is a while coming, but if it took a $1.5 million performance bond, he wants Kevin Nash to show up as he has a choke slam ready for him. Suddenly, Lodi shows up carrying a sign saying "Nash Rulz Giant Drools." The Giant grabs the sign and rips it up, and Lodi confronts him about it. This proves a mistake, as he gets choke slammed. Perry Saturn gets The Giant in a sleeper hold only to be backed into the corner, and when Kidman goes for a high-flying cross body, The Giant tosses Kidman into the front row where Van Hammer is there to catch him. Suddenly, Kevin Nash gets in the ring and gets in The Giant's face, and The Giant does what he can to avoid hitting him. Nash tosses coffee into The Giant's face, but The Giant does not give in even as Nash follows him to the back, goading The Giant into hitting him all the while.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and Ray Traylor beat Black Cat, Michiyoshi Ohara and Gedo. During the match, it is announced that Diamond Dallas Page was mugged during an attack in the parking lot after this week's Nitro and that DDP's right knee is injured to the point that he may not be able to wrestle tonight. It is also announced that WCW Executive Committee Chairman is currently in a heated discussion with DDP backstage. Near the end of the match, Scott Steiner grabs Mickey Jack by the neck at the corner, refuses to tag Rick Steiner in before getting the victory himself, much to Rick's disappointment. After the match, Scott Steiner shoves Mickey Jay with one hand.

Suddenly, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko shows up and tries to tell Spicolli that Hall will throw him in the garbage and that Hall is buttering up to him at the moment that he can achieve fortune and glory because Hall is afraid of him. Hall tells Zbyszko to bring it, not sing it, if he wants him so badly. Zbyszko gets in the ring and takes his suit jacket off, but Spicolli attacks Zbyszko from behind so he and Hall can gang up on him. This doesn't last as Zbyszko is able to duck under hall and hit a stunned Spicolli with a spinning back kick, sending Spicolli out of the ring along with Hall.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho says that during the past week, everyone has been wondering what is going on between him and Rey Mysterio Jr. He says that Rey talked under his breath and made derogatory statements about him and his family that only he could hear. Suddenly, Bill Goldberg shows up, and keeps Disco from leaving the ring. Disco tries to run at Goldberg, but Goldberg tackles him before hitting him with the Jackhammer.
Mike Tenay apologizes on behalf of WCW for the video problems taking place tonight, and announces that seemingly appropriately-timed thunderstorms in the Lakeland, Florida area are to blame.

Hogan has asked himself why WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon has to lie, and realized it is because he is the real champion. When he went to court, the judge told him and Bischoff that they are right and that they beat Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade. He gives J.J. Dillon two choices: give the WCW World Heavyweight Championship back to him, or run for his life and hand it to him next week, as he will take the title back one way or another. Bischoff then says that he agrees with Sting saying Dillon has no guts, and if Dillon does have any guts that they don't know about, he will hand the belt back to Hogan. Hogan then says he is the focus of professional wrestling, the man who made wrestling and the man who got everyone to come to tonight's show, then says Bischoff is the nWo's boss, the nWo is intact, and that Sting will never show his face again when Hogan takes back the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion for the third time after Juventud Guerrera is forced to land on his feet during the top rope 450 splash and Rey counters with a hurricanrana into a pinfall after he dodges the 450 splash.

DDP tries to get on the apron, but Hogan yanks DDP off the apron and attacks him with his crutch.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 10, 1997
The New World Order arrive to start the show, flying Canadian flags. Eric Bischoff "re-debuts" "the real giant in this industry today," Kevin Nash, who shows up for the first time in weeks. Kevin is wheeled out in a wheelchair by Syxx and, like Scott hall did last week as well as right now, carries a WCW World Tag Team Championship belt around him. Nash mockingly says he feels like the luckiest guy in the world, and as he was sitting at home for the last four or five weeks listening to The Giant talk, there's nothing he'd like to do more - besides win Ben Stein's money - than give The Giant the beating of his life. He doesn't work for free, however, and if The Giant wants to go toe-to-toe with him, he'll have to do it on his terms: in the World War 3 match, which takes place this year in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Bischoff says that not only is Kevin Nash the luckiest man in the world, so is he, because he spends time with guys like "Hollywood' Hulk Hogan and spends a billionaire's money to surround himself with some of the most impressive men in the business today. He then announces that he has a special gift for Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, who is fresh out of the World Wrestling Federation: a nWo rendition of O Canada and the announcement that Bret Hart is the newest member of the New World Order.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund shows disappointment in The New World Order's announcement concerning Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and plus the WCW Hotline, saying there was alleged confrontation between Bret Hart and an opposing promoter, and this inside story is only available on the WCW Hotline.
Steven Regal and David Taylor get an upset win on Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray).
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Chris Jericho beats Disco Inferno with the Lion Tamer. During the match, Raven and his men, regularly referred to as "Raven's Flock" (Raven, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman, Sick Boy) are seen heading to seats in the front row. After the match, Billy Kidman tosses water into Disco's face, and Disco tosses Kidman over the guardrail before pummeling him. Sick Boy then jumps the guardrail, almost slips on the ringside mat due to the water that was tossed at Disco and immediately goes to work on Disco. Scotty Riggs shows up and fights off both Kidman and Sick Boy, and it is noted that Scotty Riggs is wearing an eyepatch. Raven confronts Riggs, then almost immediately moves away, and the rest of Raven's men immediately leave Riggs alone upon seeing him.
This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Alex Wright! Glacier! Mortis!
Glacier beats The Barbarian. During the match, Jimmy Hart, who has not been seen on Nitro in weeks, shows back up in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to much applause and stands in The Barbarian's corner. He distracts the referee long enough to ask for Glacier to knock him off the apron with a Cryonic Kick, but Glacier is able to beat The Barbarian nevertheless. After the match, Glacier is attacked from behind by Meng, who applies the Tongan Death Grip on Glacier.
Raven suddenly gets in the ring with his Flock (Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman, Sick Boy). Raven apologizes to Scotty Riggs for all the damage he did to his eye, saying it was an accident and that he feels his pain. He then tells those not intelligent, able-minded or coherent enough to understand the message he has given in the last few months, he tells them he had an abusive childhood where he was teased, taunted, tormented, picked on, bullied and beaten, but that was then and this is now. Now, all the freaks, misfits, mutants, the disenfranchised, the hopeless, the unwanted, the dregs of society have come forth from out of the shadows to stand beside him and help him gain his vengeance against those who treated him poorly. He says not to blame him, but to blame themselves as they made him what he is. All of a sudden, he is jonited by another man in a black mesh tanktop with holes in them, blue lipstick, blue eyeshadow, a nipple piercing and short blond hair shows up, and Mike Tenay somehow recognizes him as former WCW wrestler Van Hammer - or some guy who looks a lot like him - and it is obvious by his appearance that he is the newest member of Raven's Flock.
Yuji Nagata beats Alex Wright with the Nagata Lock. During the match, it is announced that Ultimo Dragon will face Yuji Nagata at World War 3, and if Ultimo Dragon wins, he gets five minutes in the ring with Sonny Onoo. Also, Sonny Onoo hands Debra McMichael some yen and kisses her only to get slapped. This is enough to distract Alex Wright, and Yuji Nagata is able to put Wright in the Nagata Lock. Despite confronting Sonny Onoo for kissing her, she keeps the money that Onoo placed in her hands.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up again, and this time they are not in a good mood. Bischoff is seen holding a piece of paper that somebody decided to slip into their locker room: a poster of a movie called The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes, which noticeably features Sting as one of the stars. Bischoff says the crime here is that Sting is trying to break into Hogan's industry, and that only Hogan deserves to be in Hollywood. Hogan says Sting is getting this "bogus movie" on the market because he is a "Hollywood wanna-be," and that his movie Assault On Devil Island will body slam Sting's movie just like he will body slam Sting at Starrcade. He says he isn't waiting until December, and calls Sting out, saying if he wants to be him so badly, then all he has to do is face him. Bischoff tries to egg Sting on and tell Sting to come get some, asking what the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia is, anyway. Bischoff says he and Hogan know Sting is in the building, and that Hogan wants Sting tonight. It is announced that The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes, starring Sting, debuts this Friday night at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia as part of the Peachtree Film Festival on Friday night at 8:30 PM local time.
"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Perry Saturn by disqualification after Billy Kidman and Sick Boy try to interfere. Benoit puts Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, then Van Hammer - or a guy who looks like him - distracts Benoit, allowing Fit Finlay to show up and hit Benoit with a tombstone piledriver. Raven shows up, and watches Kidman and Sick Boy continue to attack Benoit. Perry Saturn retains the WCW World Television Championship.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair makes three things very clear: he will win World War 3, he's going to disable Curt Hennig, and that Lex Luger is number three behind him and Elvis Presley. If the Memphis, Tennessee doesn't believe he's number one, all they have to do is watch him dismantle Lex Luger in twenty minutes. He says that World War 3 will be more than a blowout, saying that Curt Hennig wants to be the greatest performer in the world. However, the countdown starts tonight as he plans to take Hennig apart as he is part of the New World Order. When Okerlund asks if he should expect a victory party after Flair wins the World War 3 match, Flair tells him they will have an all-night party with The Nitro Girls.
Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio Jr. to win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship! After the match, Dean Malenko shows up and stares down with Guerrero, then heads to the back.
Brandow Lowry of the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga is the winner of a WCW Nitro Prize Pack, and we see footage of his Nitro party in Lambda Alpha Chi house during rush week.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Ray Traylor after Miss Elizabeth yanks Ray Traylor off the top rope, despite being smacked in the head with a steel chair early in the match. As Savage goes for another top rope elbow drop, Miss Elizabeth heads to the back and brings back a can of black spray paint. Savage knocks out referee Billy Silverman and tosses him out of the ring, then Miss Elizabeth gets the the honors of spray painting Traylor. Savage hits the top rope elbow again, then says "This is how it's gonna be from now one...for lie!" After the replay of the match, it is announced that Ray Traylor is declared the winner by reverse decision due to the post-match attack.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Diamond Dallas Page beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after Hennig hits Page in the ribs with the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. Hennig and Page brawl, and Page fights back. Hennig is seen with blood coming out of his nose after the match. as he walks out. Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
Lex Luger beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair after Curt Hennig interferes and Lex Luger fights him off. During the match, it is announced that nobody has heard from Sting yet, and that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will issue another statement after the next commercial break. After the bell rings, Lex Luger press slams Ric Flair onto Hennig, allowing Flair to go after Hennig.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up again. Hogan says that Sting is a coward, and that the rest of the nWo agrees with him. He asks that Sting be brought out to the ring, and Bischoff says that even he can't make Sting appear as Sting is more fear than anything else. Hogan gets his wish, as Sting - and not a man in a mask - rappels down from the rafters adnd heads to the ring. Sting throws the bat away and takes off the gloves, and when "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up along with the rest of the nWo, Hogan nails Sting from behind, knocking Sting down and leaving him to the rest of the nWo, who gang up on Sting before holding him up so that Hogan can get a few shots in on him. The show ends with Eric Bischoff mocking what's going on as Hogan continues to hit Sting with leg drops.

Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up again, and this time they are not in a good mood. Bischoff is seen holding a piece of paper that somebody decided to slip into their locker room: a poster of a movie called The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes, which noticeably features Sting as one of the stars. Bischoff says the crime here is that Sting is trying to break into Hogan's industry, and that only Hogan deserves to be in Hollywood. Hogan says Sting is getting this "bogus movie" on the market because he is a "Hollywood wanna-be," and that his movie Assault On Devil Island will body slam Sting's movie just like he will body slam Sting at Starrcade. He says he isn't waiting until December, and calls Sting out, saying if he wants to be him so badly, then all he has to do is face him. Bischoff tries to egg Sting on and tell Sting to come get some, asking what the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia is, anyway. Bischoff says he and Hogan know Sting is in the building, and that Hogan wants Sting tonight. It is announced that The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes, starring Sting, debuts this Friday night at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia as part of the Peachtree Film Festival on Friday night at 8:30 PM local time.
"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Perry Saturn by disqualification after Billy Kidman and Sick Boy try to interfere. Benoit puts Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, then Van Hammer - or a guy who looks like him - distracts Benoit, allowing Fit Finlay to show up and hit Benoit with a tombstone piledriver. Raven shows up, and watches Kidman and Sick Boy continue to attack Benoit. Perry Saturn retains the WCW World Television Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair makes three things very clear: he will win World War 3, he's going to disable Curt Hennig, and that Lex Luger is number three behind him and Elvis Presley. If the Memphis, Tennessee doesn't believe he's number one, all they have to do is watch him dismantle Lex Luger in twenty minutes. He says that World War 3 will be more than a blowout, saying that Curt Hennig wants to be the greatest performer in the world. However, the countdown starts tonight as he plans to take Hennig apart as he is part of the New World Order. When Okerlund asks if he should expect a victory party after Flair wins the World War 3 match, Flair tells him they will have an all-night party with The Nitro Girls.
Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio Jr. to win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship! After the match, Dean Malenko shows up and stares down with Guerrero, then heads to the back.
Brandow Lowry of the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga is the winner of a WCW Nitro Prize Pack, and we see footage of his Nitro party in Lambda Alpha Chi house during rush week.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Ray Traylor after Miss Elizabeth yanks Ray Traylor off the top rope, despite being smacked in the head with a steel chair early in the match. As Savage goes for another top rope elbow drop, Miss Elizabeth heads to the back and brings back a can of black spray paint. Savage knocks out referee Billy Silverman and tosses him out of the ring, then Miss Elizabeth gets the the honors of spray painting Traylor. Savage hits the top rope elbow again, then says "This is how it's gonna be from now one...for lie!" After the replay of the match, it is announced that Ray Traylor is declared the winner by reverse decision due to the post-match attack.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after Hennig hits Page in the ribs with the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. Hennig and Page brawl, and Page fights back. Hennig is seen with blood coming out of his nose after the match. as he walks out. Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
Lex Luger beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair after Curt Hennig interferes and Lex Luger fights him off. During the match, it is announced that nobody has heard from Sting yet, and that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will issue another statement after the next commercial break. After the bell rings, Lex Luger press slams Ric Flair onto Hennig, allowing Flair to go after Hennig.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up again. Hogan says that Sting is a coward, and that the rest of the nWo agrees with him. He asks that Sting be brought out to the ring, and Bischoff says that even he can't make Sting appear as Sting is more fear than anything else. Hogan gets his wish, as Sting - and not a man in a mask - rappels down from the rafters adnd heads to the ring. Sting throws the bat away and takes off the gloves, and when "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up along with the rest of the nWo, Hogan nails Sting from behind, knocking Sting down and leaving him to the rest of the nWo, who gang up on Sting before holding him up so that Hogan can get a few shots in on him. The show ends with Eric Bischoff mocking what's going on as Hogan continues to hit Sting with leg drops.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 3, 1997
It is announced that the match between Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was made official for Starrcade during a commercial break during the premiere of Assault On Devil's Island last Tuesday. We see a scene from the movie, then the press conference where Sting suddenly shows and signs the contract for the match before pointing his baseball bat at Hogan as he leaves.
Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio Jr. and Steven Regal with a Texas Cloverleaf to Rey after Malenko tags himself in before Eddie goes for the frog splash, much to Eddie's chagrin.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
It is announced that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has suffered nerve damage in his face after the events of Halloween Havoc and that there is no telling how long he will be out of action.
Fit Finlay beats Dave Taylor. Raven, Perry Saturn and Billy Kidman are seen heading to the front row during the match.

He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's injuries are consistent with brain damage that caused him to get in the steel cage with Hogan in the first place and that Sting suffers from similar brain damage. He also acknowledges the WWF and USA Network trying to put Assault On Devil's Island and Hulk Hogan down and steal Hogan's thunder, and calls all the attempts a miserable failure. He then announces that there will be more movies to come, and next week, the entire New World Order will be on hand with a huge surprise for everyone in WCW.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. Page says he is living a dream and doing exactly what he wants to do. Whether he is hurt or not, he's loving every minute of it. He announces that Halloween Havoc had the biggest pay-per-view viewing audience for a wrestling PPV of all time, and that he is honored to be part of the double main event. He says that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan calling him out jacks him up, and beating him by disqualification doesn't get it for him. What does get him is that he wrestled Savage with torn cartilage in my ribs on Sunday and then wrestled Hogan the next week, and he stood toe-to-toe with Hogan and both men gave it everything they had, and that Hogan still couldn't beat him. At 6'5" and 250 lbs., he is not he biggest or the strongest, but he has the most heart in the business today, as nobody wants it more than him. If he wins the World War 3 match and Hogan is still the champ, he knows Hogan a lot better and says Hogan should be worried.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 20, 1997
The show begins with The New World Order laid out. Spray painted on the concrete floor is "DDP," and a black baseball bat and a "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shirt are also found on the floor. A spray paint outline is found around where Curt Hennig is laying. The nWo is outraged, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff take that rage to the ring along with "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who shows up with a black baseball bat as Bischoff says the bat is proof of who attacked them. He calls Piper scum, says Sting left his fingerprints all over that attack and that Diamond Dallas Page painted his initials in blood. We see that there is a cage above the arena as Hogan says that the crap stops here and calls out Piper, Page and Sting. He also says that he plans to beat Sting to death with his own bat once he gets his hands on Piper and Savage beats up DDP.
Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit.
It is announced that even though Diamond Dallas Page beat Curt Hennig last week, Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship by disqualification due to the interference of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who rushed into the ring as soon as referee Randy Anderson counted three.
Bill Goldberg beats Wrath in mere seconds before Wrath can take off his mask and cape. A stunned James Vandenberg is beyond words. After the match, Goldberg simply says "Who's next? Who's next? That's all I've got to say! Who's next?" As Steve "Mongo" McMichael shows up for his match, he and Goldberg stare down before Goldberg heads to the back.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Mortis after knocking James Vandenberg off the apron. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Mongo after the match, and Debra McMichael shows up as Mongo says he doesn't care who his Halloween Havoc opponent is, complaining that Mongo is taking away his TV time. Debra refuses to give any hints on who Mongo's opponent will b, and tells him she can hire anybody with her looks and her money. Mongo tears up a sign being held by Stevie Richards in the front row on his way out.
Raven is seen in an abandoned, broken-down playground, and he gives us the following message: "All the joy, all the fun, all the excitement of childhood took place here. This is what every kid looked forward to: recess. Every kid could not wait to get here. Couldn't wait to get beaten up by the bullies. Couldn't wait to get teased and humiliated. Couldn't wait to get out here so they could be chosen last for all the tears. This is where all the fun of childhood took place. The only thing I remember rivaling that was one time, during my parent's attempted reconciliation, they took me skiing. And as I stood atop the mountain and looked across at another snow-covered hill, I saw my reflection...and then a landslide brought it down. You see, scars are souvenirs you never lose. The past is never far. But what do you do? What do you do when all your memories are razor blades? When everything you can possibly remember hurts? What do you do? Quoth the Raven, nevermore."

Mike Tenay's report on Lucha Libra and the Mexican Luchadores continues with the story of Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey introduces us to the barrio, tells us about how proud his uncle, the original Rey Mysterio, has passed the mask on to him and is happy to bring the tradition over to the States. He also talks about his mask, which might come off is he does not take the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from Eddie Guerrero at Halloween Havoc, and is afraid that if it comes off, he will lose not only his identity but also his career.
Yuji Nagata beats Juventud Guerrera with the Nagata lock, then chases Sonny Onoo around the ring before being attacked by both Nagata and Onoo before Nagata applies the Nagata Lock to Ultimo Dragon. Raven is seen in the crowd during the match. After the match, Raven is seen with Stevie Richards and Perry Saturn in the front row.
The Giant shows up after Villano IV, Villano V and Damian enter the ring, and it is noted that The Giant is not scheduled to appear tonight. The Giant takes the microphone and calls out Kevin Nash, saying he's not really hurt and that he's really hiding. He tells Nash he's not the big man in WCW and that there is only one giant in professional wrestling, and he's looking at him. He tells Nash to get ready as he's coming for him. Damian then decides to pick a fight with The Giant and gets knocked out. Villano IV and V don't fare much better, as Villano V gets choke slammed and Villano IV gets powerbombed after The Giant grabs the microphone again and says "Kevin Nash...this is how you be a giant."

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Disco Inferno by disqualification after Eddie Guerrero attacks Rey and tries to take his mask off. As the ref is preoccupied with Rey and Eddie, Jacqueline runs into the ring and pulls Disco off the second rope. She then goes after Disco as he tries to leave, and he tries to run to the back only to get beaten up again. Pyrotechnics then officially kick off the second hour.
Eric Bischoff, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage show up again, angry as ever with Savage still carrying a black baseball hat. Bischoff says nobody leaves the buliding until Hogan and Savage get their hands on Sting, and Hogan threatens to fight everyone in the building until he finds who is responsible for the attack on the nWo. Savage says there will be no Diamond Cutters, sleepers or bats. Bischoff says only one organization will control the industry, and it is them. He says nobody leaves the building until they get "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Sting and Diamond Dallas Page. After nobody shows up, Bischoff says Vince McMahon is afraid of Hogan's new movie Assault On Devil's Island, and that DDP and Piper are afraid of Hogan as he dares someone to step up.
Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko. Hennig's Fisherman Suplex, originally known as the Perfectplex, is now known as the Hennig-plex.

Scott Norton beats Ray Traylor after Vincent gets on the apron and spray paints Traylor in the eyes with black spray paint. Traylor goes after both Vincent nd Norton after the match, but the rest of the nWo gets into the ring and gangs up on him as he is still blinded.
We see a video package for the Sudden Death match between Diamond Dallas Page and "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Halloween Havoc.
Lex Luger beats Booker T with the Torture Rack. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Luger after the match. Luger admits that Booker T has gotten really good, and finds it "very sweet" that five or six men in the nWo have been laid out instead of doing the laying out. He says the tide has turned against Scott Hall, as he won't able to bully "The Living Larry" Larry Zbyszko, who will call the match down the middle and won't be intimidated. Zbyszko heads to the ring, and makes it clear that he will call the match between Luger and Hall right down the middle as promised, as it has taken him 20 years to earn the respect of everyone around the world and he won't lose it for anything. He tells Luger that Hall is not an easy man to beat, and tells him to do his best. Scott Hall beats Scott Steiner after Scott Hall lays out the referee and a masked referee (who is obviously Vincent) shows up to make the three count after Hall hits The Outsider's Edge on Steiner.
Eric Bischoff, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage show up yet again, this time in a better mood. Bischoff says "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Sting and Diamond Dallas Page have no heart, soul or will to win. Hogan apologizes for "overreacting," saying he forgets how much of a god he is and says that good things come to those who wait. After plugging Assault On Devil's Island, he says the nWo will wait until Halloween Havoc to get Sting, DDP and Piper, saying that all the beatdown on the nWo did was put more gas on the fire. Suddenly, a man in a Sting mask shows up and heads his way to the ring....and another one pops out of the crowd with him. Both men wear Sting masks and beat up Hogan and Bischoff as a third man in a Sting mask shows up. The first two "Stings" are DDP and Piper, and the nWo knocks down the third one on the way to the ring. Suddenly, the cage that was high above the ring all night comes all the way down, and the real Sting rappels down from the rafters to get his hands on Bischoff and anyone else who tangles with him. The nWo bails out through the cage door, but Page and Piper climb up the cage to get a piece of the nWo to end the show.
Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit.
It is announced that even though Diamond Dallas Page beat Curt Hennig last week, Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship by disqualification due to the interference of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who rushed into the ring as soon as referee Randy Anderson counted three.
Bill Goldberg beats Wrath in mere seconds before Wrath can take off his mask and cape. A stunned James Vandenberg is beyond words. After the match, Goldberg simply says "Who's next? Who's next? That's all I've got to say! Who's next?" As Steve "Mongo" McMichael shows up for his match, he and Goldberg stare down before Goldberg heads to the back.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Mortis after knocking James Vandenberg off the apron. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Mongo after the match, and Debra McMichael shows up as Mongo says he doesn't care who his Halloween Havoc opponent is, complaining that Mongo is taking away his TV time. Debra refuses to give any hints on who Mongo's opponent will b, and tells him she can hire anybody with her looks and her money. Mongo tears up a sign being held by Stevie Richards in the front row on his way out.
Raven is seen in an abandoned, broken-down playground, and he gives us the following message: "All the joy, all the fun, all the excitement of childhood took place here. This is what every kid looked forward to: recess. Every kid could not wait to get here. Couldn't wait to get beaten up by the bullies. Couldn't wait to get teased and humiliated. Couldn't wait to get out here so they could be chosen last for all the tears. This is where all the fun of childhood took place. Mike Tenay's report on Lucha Libra and the Mexican Luchadores continues with the story of Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey introduces us to the barrio, tells us about how proud his uncle, the original Rey Mysterio, has passed the mask on to him and is happy to bring the tradition over to the States. He also talks about his mask, which might come off is he does not take the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from Eddie Guerrero at Halloween Havoc, and is afraid that if it comes off, he will lose not only his identity but also his career.
Yuji Nagata beats Juventud Guerrera with the Nagata lock, then chases Sonny Onoo around the ring before being attacked by both Nagata and Onoo before Nagata applies the Nagata Lock to Ultimo Dragon. Raven is seen in the crowd during the match. After the match, Raven is seen with Stevie Richards and Perry Saturn in the front row.
The Giant shows up after Villano IV, Villano V and Damian enter the ring, and it is noted that The Giant is not scheduled to appear tonight. The Giant takes the microphone and calls out Kevin Nash, saying he's not really hurt and that he's really hiding. He tells Nash he's not the big man in WCW and that there is only one giant in professional wrestling, and he's looking at him. He tells Nash to get ready as he's coming for him. Damian then decides to pick a fight with The Giant and gets knocked out. Villano IV and V don't fare much better, as Villano V gets choke slammed and Villano IV gets powerbombed after The Giant grabs the microphone again and says "Kevin Nash...this is how you be a giant."

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Disco Inferno by disqualification after Eddie Guerrero attacks Rey and tries to take his mask off. As the ref is preoccupied with Rey and Eddie, Jacqueline runs into the ring and pulls Disco off the second rope. She then goes after Disco as he tries to leave, and he tries to run to the back only to get beaten up again. Pyrotechnics then officially kick off the second hour.
Eric Bischoff, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage show up again, angry as ever with Savage still carrying a black baseball hat. Bischoff says nobody leaves the buliding until Hogan and Savage get their hands on Sting, and Hogan threatens to fight everyone in the building until he finds who is responsible for the attack on the nWo. Savage says there will be no Diamond Cutters, sleepers or bats. Bischoff says only one organization will control the industry, and it is them. He says nobody leaves the building until they get "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Sting and Diamond Dallas Page. After nobody shows up, Bischoff says Vince McMahon is afraid of Hogan's new movie Assault On Devil's Island, and that DDP and Piper are afraid of Hogan as he dares someone to step up.
Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko. Hennig's Fisherman Suplex, originally known as the Perfectplex, is now known as the Hennig-plex.

Scott Norton beats Ray Traylor after Vincent gets on the apron and spray paints Traylor in the eyes with black spray paint. Traylor goes after both Vincent nd Norton after the match, but the rest of the nWo gets into the ring and gangs up on him as he is still blinded.
We see a video package for the Sudden Death match between Diamond Dallas Page and "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Halloween Havoc.
Lex Luger beats Booker T with the Torture Rack. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Luger after the match. Luger admits that Booker T has gotten really good, and finds it "very sweet" that five or six men in the nWo have been laid out instead of doing the laying out. He says the tide has turned against Scott Hall, as he won't able to bully "The Living Larry" Larry Zbyszko, who will call the match down the middle and won't be intimidated. Zbyszko heads to the ring, and makes it clear that he will call the match between Luger and Hall right down the middle as promised, as it has taken him 20 years to earn the respect of everyone around the world and he won't lose it for anything. He tells Luger that Hall is not an easy man to beat, and tells him to do his best.
