Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up to start tonight's show. He says that nobody knows more than he does what it is like to be caught in a tough situation and what emotions runs through his body time in and time out, every time he steps in the ring and gives all that he has. He then mentions there is one man in the dressing room who his heart goes out to, as he is playing tug-of-war with his conscience and the fans are not helping. He asks Sting to understand that he knows where he is coming from as people pull from him on both sides of the nWo and want him to make a decision, and tells him that the red-and-black is not and will never be Sting. Bret also tells Sting that he has the key to his wrestling future, and if Sting hears him out, Bret can take him to the top and he will never need the fans again.
The Barbarian beats Jim Powers following the distraction by Jimmy Hart.
Tony Schiavone interviews Chris Jericho on the ramp. Jericho shows up with a sign saying "Conspiracy Victim," and says he feels pretty bad after he and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon had a confrontation on Monday night, and apologizes, saying it will never, ever happen again. He asks Dillon to come listen to what he has to say. Schiavone reminds Jericho that Dillon is not here, and asks Schiavone to hold the sign - with the arrow pointing at him - as he calls Dillon a "fat, balding, unethical, hypocritical heathen" for having the gall to insult him in front of his peers, family and Jerichoholics worldwide on national television, and says it is not over. On Monday, he will go to Washington, DC and find the jurisprudence that Dillon is asking for to reinstate him as WCW Cruiserweight Champion, and when that happens, Dillon will never intimidate or screw with him ever again, for this is war.
The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beat High Voltage (Ronnie Rage and Kenny Kaos).
The black-and-red nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Konnan, Lex Luger, "Macho Man" Randy Savage"), now with new music, shows up. Nash says he has heard Bret "The Hit Man" Hart running his mouth earlier tonight, and Savage says they have something important to say, but there is only one man who can say it, and Lex Luger is the man. Luger says that sometimes in life, you have to go by your gut instinct to do what feels right, and he could go into a thousand reasons why he is the Wolfpac; however, it is bigger than any individual in the ring right now and it is happening right here and all over the country. He says Monday night felt right for him, that he turned his back on nobody despite holding the WCW banner for years, and that he still respects WCW. He says that when the ship is ready to sail and you have to make a decision whether or not to play in the ballgame, he is always a player and that is why he is in the Wolfpac right now. Luger then announces that he is not here just to talk about himself; he is also here to talk about Sting, who he has stuck with through thick and thin for years. He says he has talked to Sting on Monday night, and that everybody - he, the fans and even Sting himself - felt it that night, and he asks Sting to "take that step" and cross over to the Wolfpac and became part of the greatest force assembled in professional wrestling right now, as the Wolfpac is just too sweet.
Van Hammer beats Glacier by disqualification after Saturn shows up and hits Glacier with a standing side kick after Glacier puts Van Hammer in the Rings of Saturn. After the match, Saturn attacks both men, then Raven runs into the ring and hits Hammer with the Evenflow DDT while Saturn hits Glacier with the Death Valley Driver. Afterwards, Raven pleads with Saturn to re-join him and become a team again, as they have been friends since childhood and he has always been there for him. Saturn joins Raven's side again, then the two of them attack random people - first a concession stands worker, then a ring crew member - when Raven thinks those people are Mortis. Suddenly, a man dressed as a technician hits Raven in the head with a cookie sheets, then removes his headgear and runs away from Raven's riot squad after throwing the Mortis mask at Raven. Saturn and the riot squad then help Raven to the back.
Booker T beats "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit in the second match of their Best of Seven Series. Both men have now won one match apiece. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Benoit on the ramp. Benoit admits Booker T has undeniable talent, but he questions his heart, as this is a best of seven series and Booker T will find out what he is made of. He also says Booker T will find out why they call him "The Crippler."
Fit Finley retains the WCW World Television Championship against Brad Armstrong.
Saturn beats Barry Darsow after Darsow argues with referee Mickey Jay.
Goldberg retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Barry Horowitz.
Eric Bischoff and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart show up with the black-and-white nWo. Bret says the wrestling world is full of broken heroes and Sting is just another one like him, and he is the only person that Sting can trust as he has always had his back and that Sting would still be World Heavyweight Champion if he had his way. Bret tells Sting that unlike the fans, he respects him, and that they both have plenty in common. He also claims that nobody in the Wolfpac is trustworthy following past events, and says that even he doesn't trust Lex Luger. As he wants to know where Sting stands, Bret says he knows Sting's true colors: black-and-white. As Bret tells Sting to make up his mind, the nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Lex Luger, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, Konnan) shows up, and Nash tells Bret that he can run his mouth all night long, as everybody all over the country knows that Sting needs to be with them. Bret says he begs to differ, and that Sting belongs to him as he calls the Wolfpac "scum." Nash says they could sit here all night long and discuss this, but Sting has made up his mind and will make the right decision: black-and-red. The Giant then gets out of the ring and brawl with Nash, and both factions of the nWo brawl as the show ends.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for May 14, 1998
We hear from Mando Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero's brother and Chavo Guerrero Jr.'s uncle, who says that Eddie and Chavo grew up together and that Eddie is currently leading the third generation of Guerreros. He feels Eddie is going to town on Chavo, and that this bet is dividing the Guerrero family. He cannot understand why Eddie is keeping Chavo under his shadow, especially since the family loves the sport, and says that Eddie is going about this the wrong way. Mando says he is trying to accept what is happening, but he cannot.
Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero says that the Guerrero family is distraught and want him to be more lenient to Chavo Guerrero Jr. He says that he has done just that and hand-picked a suitable opponent for Chavo who is about the same height and weight: Reese, who is clearly taller and heavier than Chavo. Eddie begs Chavo not to embarrass the Guerrero family, and to do his best and show what he can do. He also tells him that what happened Monday night will not happen again.
Reese quickly beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. After the match, Eddie Guerrero smacks Chavo with his towel and chews him out as Ultimo Dragon heads to the ring, and Chavo inadvertently shoves Eddie into Ultimo Dragon, who puts Eddie in the Dragon Sleeper. Chavo walks away, and referees show up to try to get Ultimo Dragon to break the hold.
This Saturday night on WCW Saturday Night: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Fit Finley! Yuji Nagata vs. Goldberg!
Raven shows up with four riot control officers. Raven says he is sick and tired of hearing about Diamond Dallas Page, and informs DDP that he is not Wyatt Earp, this is not Dodge City and he is not some outlaw he can "backjump and string up like Josie Wales." He tells DDP that if he wants to bring his noose and fight, then he has left Raven's Flock in the back so they can go one-on-one. He continues to call out DDP, and DDP shows up from out of the crows with a bullrope around his neck. The riot control officers move into place, but DDP leaps over them and onto Raven. The riot squad then attack DDP and hold him so that Raven can hit DDP with an Evenflow DDT. Raven then ties the bullrope around DDP's neck and sends him over the top rope in an attempt to hang him.
It is announced that Goldberg is in a Gauntlet Match against Raven's Flock at Slamboree, and if he cannot win the Gauntlet Match, the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship will be awarded back to Raven.
Despite interference by Ronnie Rage, Fit Finley retains the WCW World Television Championship against Kenny Kaos.
Goldberg beats Sick Boy. After the match, Riggs tries to attack Goldberg from behind, but Goldberg makes quick work of him and the rest of Raven's Flock thinks twice before going after Goldberg.
Before the next match, Kidman gives "Gentleman" Chris Adams a choice between losing to the Rings of Saturn or the Death Valley Driver. Suddenly, Van Hammer tries to get in the ring only to be stopped by WCW security and pushed back to the back, and Kidman and Saturn decide that Adams will lose to the Death Valley Driver.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Ronnie Rage with the Crippler Crossface.
Eric Bischoff shows up. Bischoff talks about his challenge to WWF owner Vince McMahon from last Monday night, as well as McMahon whining about being invited to where Bischoff is. Bischoff then says he just got a letter from McMahon's attorney Jerry McDivett of Kirpatrick & Lockhart, which he reads. The letter states that McMahon will not be appearing at Slamboree and that Bischoff has no authority to suggest that he will do so. It also states that McMahon is one of Titan Sports' leading television personalities and is responsible for some of its highest ratings ever. Nevertheless, Bischoff says the invitation is still open and that security will be looking for Vince McMahon outside of the venue, ready to take him to his dressing room should he show up, even though Bischoff says Vince doesn't "have the guts" and that Vince's attorney has stated that he will not be here.
Before the next match, Kevin Nash does not show up with Scott Hall. Nash says Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will not allow Hall to be on live television, but they cannot stop Hall from being at Slamboree on Sunday. He then asks if he is looking incredibly sexy tonight, and says he is like Brad Pitt except with a lot more meat on his bones before bringing out "a confidant of The Wolfpac:" "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says that Bischoff and Hogan are attempting to crack the Wolfpac and that Hall will be at Slamboree. As for tonight, he will stand in counsel with Kevin Nash.
Kevin Nash beats Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes makes himself part of the match, beating up Johnny Grunge outside of the ring after dragging him out of the ring while Nash hits Rocco Rock with a Jackknife Power Bomb, then hitting Rocco Rock with an elbow drop.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Sting ends with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart getting into the ring with a steel chair. Savage takes out Bret Hart, but when he goes for a top rope elbow drop, The Giant runs in and catches Savage. Kevin Nash makes his way into the ring and hits The Giant with a steel chair, but Sting takes a steel chair and smacks it into Nash's back. The Giant then grabs a microphone and says that Sting probably wants to know what he is doing, and says he has made a decision to walk in as partners at Slamboree. He then says that if they win the tag team titles, then Sting will have to make a decision. The Giant then pulls out a black-and-white nWo shirt and hands it to Sting, and Sting looks at the shirt before looking at The Giant, who leaves the ring as Lex Luger gets on the apron to talk to Sting in an attempt to reason with him.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for April 22, 1998
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and The Disciple show up. Bischoff says the time has come to give the fans what they have been waiting for, and says there is nobody else he would want to do the honors with than The Disciple, who takes the can of black spray paint and spray paints "nWo" on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Bischoff says he has learned a lot since first meeting Hogan and says everyone in the world, including the Turner organization from Ted Turned down, is afraid of him, and even after the political infighting, jealously, and everything else that worked to keep Hogan out of the WCW, everything is now as it always should be. Hogan says it is the same as it ever was, and while he doesn't want to talk about the jealously of the wrestlers in the back and the promoters who cannot stand him being the leader and the man who made professional wrestling what it is today, as the back of his newest shirt states that he is the man. He says that World title should never have left his hands, and that it was stolen from him and he got it back the first chance he could. He says that the nWo is back together and celebrating in the back, and says the celebration is a little too sweet for live TV. Now that the belt is back in his hands, so is his power and the ratings, and now that the record is set straight, there is a new rule in the wrestling world: if anyone in the back lays a hand on Bischoff, they will have to answer to the entire nWo. Hogan then says that he has beaten "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the center of the ring with a certified referee making the count and ultimately broke him, and that Savage is now retired. He makes an example of Savage, saying that this is what happens when you mess with someone who the whole world worships and that this is the final goodbye for Randy Savage.
It is announced that Miss Elizabeth was injured last weekend and has suffered rib injuries.
Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Disco Inferno.
The Barbarian beats Prince Iaukea.
This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night, one hour later than usual: Rick Steiner vs. Scott Norton! The Barbarian! The entirety of Goldberg vs. Raven for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede!
Vicious and Delicious (Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell) vs. Lex Luger and Rick Steiner ends in a double pin after Scott Steiner shows up as Vincent carries a steel chair to the ring, takes the steel chair from Vincent and smashes it into Rick Steiner's back himself while the referee is pre-occupied with Ted DiBiase on the ring apron. Scott puts Bagwell on top of Rick Steiner, but Bagwell and Rick Steiner end up pinning each other. Referee Mark Curtis rewards the match to Norton and Bagwell after heading to the back and seeing what happened.
Scott Norton and Vincent still in the ring with Buff Bagwell and a trainer, as it is mentioned that Bagwell had trouble extending his arm to make the pinfall in the last match. WCW and medical staff bring out a stretcher. It is then noted that Buff Bagwell's head hit the back of Rick Steiner, which caused Bagwell to lose control of his right arm. Bagwell is checked on and immobilized, and Sick Boy and Kidman of Raven's Flock watch from the front row as Bobby "The Brain" Heenan leaves the commentary to get updates on Bagwell's condition from executive producer Craig Leathers. When he comes back, he mentions that Bagwell cannot be moved due to a cervical injury and that medical staff are waiting for the ambulance to bring a gurney so that they can. After a commercial break, the paramedics are in the ring immobilizing Bagwell and placing him on a gurney, and it is announced soon afterwards while the commentary team recap "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan from this week's Nitro in-depth that Bagwell is slowly regaining some movement.
It is announced that the man who helped Raven win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede is named Horace Boulder, whose career includes a stint in Japan and parallels that of Raven's.
Horace Boulder beats Evan Courageous after Diamond Dallas Page gets in the ring and hits Horace with a Diamond Cutter for costing him the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede. During the match, it is announced that Buff Bagwell will be fine and that he has been taken to a local hospital. After the match, Evan Courageous and referee Billy Silverman also receive Diamond Cutters, then DDP takes the microphone and says he did not come here to take down any of the three men as he came to Greenberg, South Carolina jacked and ready to get his hands around Raven's throat. DDP calls Raven out, and Raven shows up only to walk away. DDP tells Raven to walk away from him like he did his sister when she needed him most and how he walked away from his mother and left him crying. Both times, Raven considers heading back to the ring, but turns around and heads to the back. DDP says he will not leave the ring until Raven feels the bang, then leaves through the crowd.
Tony Schiavone interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Savage says he isn't giving up; he's just giving started. He says he is at least 90% okay, and says everyone knows "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is total scum and that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper now knows that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart has reached a new level: nuclear scum. He then tells Piper that Hart did what he did because Hart is a loser and that he should join all the losers who suck up to Hogan. Savage then says he is so sick of listening to Bret saying he got screwed, and that he was sick of it then and he is sick of it now. He then says that instead of the best there is, was and ever will be; Bret is the best there is and was as well as the best con man to walk the face of the earth, and that he is totally underpaid, unproven and the biggest mark for his own publicity to walk the face of the earth. He then says that Bret has graduated to the top of his intergalactic hit list and that he is coming to get him.
We see a video package of Goldberg.
Goldberg retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Mike Enos.
It is announced that Nitro will air for one hour this Monday from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM Eastern this Monday and that a special "Tuesday Nitro" will air the following night from 6 PM to 8 PM Eastern.

After the match, the nWo gang up on Sting, but Rick Steiner shows up and chases Scott Steiner to the back. The Giant then runs into the ring and immediately takes out the nWo, saving Sting. Sting then grabs a microphone and says every single week is the same old thing: fighting all the bad guys like it is a bar room brawl. He feels like buying everyone a round, and then says that all the jokes have been played and that Kevin Nash should be doing stand-up comedy because he is too good, too big, too sexy and too sweet. He says that Nash should know better and that every joke has a punch line. He then says he has a spot for Nash - not his spot, not his dog Spot, not a liver spot, not Arn Anderson - but a spot at Slamboree, and if they bring the tag team titles, he'll bring The Giant and they'll get it on.

He then tells Piper that Hart did what he did because Hart is a loser and that he should join all the losers who suck up to Hogan. Savage then says he is so sick of listening to Bret saying he got screwed, and that he was sick of it then and he is sick of it now. He then says that instead of the best there is, was and ever will be; Bret is the best there is and was as well as the best con man to walk the face of the earth, and that he is totally underpaid, unproven and the biggest mark for his own publicity to walk the face of the earth. He then says that Bret has graduated to the top of his intergalactic hit list and that he is coming to get him.

It is announced that Nitro will air for one hour this Monday from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM Eastern this Monday and that a special "Tuesday Nitro" will air the following night from 6 PM to 8 PM Eastern.
Sting beats Scott Steiner by disqualification after the nWo runs in. During the match, it is announced that Buff Bagwell is doing fine and is now moving around. After the match, the nWo gang up on Sting, but Rick Steiner shows up and chases Scott Steiner to the back. The Giant then runs into the ring and immediately takes out the nWo, saving Sting. Sting then grabs a microphone and says every single week is the same old thing: fighting all the bad guys like it is a bar room brawl. He feels like buying everyone a round, and then says that all the jokes have been played and that Kevin Nash should be doing stand-up comedy because he is too good, too big, too sexy and too sweet. He says that Nash should know better and that every joke has a punch line. He then says he has a spot for Nash - not his spot, not his dog Spot, not a liver spot, not Arn Anderson - but a spot at Slamboree, and if they bring the tag team titles, he'll bring The Giant and they'll get it on.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for April 16, 1998
We see an announcement from the New World Order where Buff Bagwell admires his body in a mirror as he talks about how he goes the extra mile to be buff, and says that you're buff and the stuff, the girls just can't get enough.
Rick Steiner beats Buff Bagwell by disqualification after Scott Steiner gets involved by tripping Rick Steiner off the top rope and attacking Rick along with Bagwell. As they continue to double-team Rick, Lex Luger shows up and evens the odds for Rick Steiner, forcing Bagwell and Scott Steiner to retreat.
We hear from "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, who says "Macho Man" Randy Savage is not smart enough to be WCW World Heavyweight Champion after "jaywalking backwards in an eight-lane highway" and getting knocked down, and tells Sting he is ready to take the World title back.

He then says that he agrees with him, as everyone knows that "a turd floats." Nash then tells Hogan he has one more chance to stop Armageddon in the nWo, and he has to either be his partner in the Bat Match or he will be the man that drives the stake in his heart that ends his career. He also warns The Giant and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper that he will beat them both himself whether Hogan is with him or not, and in the case of being a little redundant, he will take the bat and beat up all three men if that is what it takes. He tells Hogan to sit back and watch what a real partner does, as he and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are tagging up, and he tells Sting to put on his best face paint and to bring Bret Hart, because he, not WCW, calls the shots around here and he wants a tag team match tonight.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Scott Norton by disqualification after Vincent attacks Benoit as he has Norton in the Crippler Crossface. Vincent and Scott Norton double-team Benoit until Booker T runs into the ring. They retreat, but when Booker T helps him up, Benoit shoves him before heading back to the back.

He says it is time for a bat match, and he has a giant. He says that The Giant is mean, and says Kevin Nash will not look too sexy when The Giant shoves a baseball bat down his throat. He also tells "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash that they are not taking Spring Stampede seriously enough and that The Giant is the real giant of WCW, and that he is ready to chop the big vine so that Hogan will fall right into his arms before he beats him within an inch of his life. This Sunday, if Hogan and Nash want to play ball, he and The Giant will bring the bat while they bring the balls, and they will see who hits a home run.
Rick Rude guests on commentary for the next match, forcing Lee Marshall off the commentary table in the process.

Chris Jericho retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Chavo Guerrero Jr. with the Lion Tamer after Eddie actively. After the match, Prince Iaukea gets in the ring and hits Jericho in the back with a scale before he and Jericho brawl their way to the back. After the match, Chavo confronts Eddie for his actions, and Eddie tells him he cannot win against a wrestler of Jericho's caliber when Chavo says that he can. Eddie gives Chavo a chance to prove it: if Chavo beats Jericho on Sunday, the deal between him and Eddie is off. However, if Chavo loses, Chavo will be in a world of "you-know-what" because Eddie will ride him twice as hard.
Eric Bischoff, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, and The Disciple show up. Bischoff says that one of the first things he learned from Hogan back in July 1994 in their very first meeting in Orlando, Florida was to never, ever litter. Hogan says the whole world knows that the world is littered with bodies that challenge his power, as he has left promoters begging him to come back to save him, and left wrestlers laying for challenging his power. As far as Kevin Nash goes, he will give him one last chance to save his Armageddon from happening, for if he challenges him, he will be just another body left laying. Hogan then says he understands the jealousy and the fact that he made wrestling and makes more money that all of the fans combined, and that being the most powerful man in the wrestling business has a downside, but as his new movie was premiering last week and he was on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, he saw the jealousy and the controversy, and he has Nash and "Macho Man" Randy Savage and everyone digging at Sting. He says that the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is his, and that the nWo has decided that he is the only man deserving of a World title shot and that he will get the title back.

Savage - still wearing a cast on his right arm - shows up with Miss Elizabeth, and tells Dillon that he has no jurisdiction over the madness, and if he wants to do something constructive, he should head outside of the arena and watch out for red-and-yellow Dodge Vipers with drivers who have balding blonde heads who are running people over before they can make it into the arena. Dillon says WCW has suspicions, but no evidence, of who ran Savage over, and that he and the WCW Executive Committee Chairman want to know that he is fit for the World title match on Sunday. Savage says he is tough enough, and that Dillon is weak and makes him sick. He plans to take Sting on Sunday and become the guy who goes after the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and that nobody, not even Dillon, can do anything about it.
The Giant beats Brian Adams by disqualification after the rest of the nWo goes after The Giant only to be completely overpowered.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for April 9, 1998
We see footage from this week's Nitro where "Macho Man" Randy Savage is given an IV feed before being placed in the ambulance.
Perry Saturn beats Tokyo Magnum with the Rings of Saturn after applying the move three times in quick succession as if to prove he can apply it whenever he wants. After the match, he tells the rest of Raven's Flock to stay out of the next fight, saying it is his own, then calls out Goldberg. Raven's Flock gets in the ring, but Goldberg clears the ring out and Hammer and Saturn are seen brawling with each other as they make their way to the back.
Prince Iaukea beats Yuji Nagata with a Northern Lights suplex. During the match, Iaukea accidentally lands on one of his knees, and shortly afterwards, Sonny Onoo tries to trip Iaukea from the outside. Iaukea hits Onoo with a double axe handle off the top rope, but Yuji Nagata gets the momentum and goes for the Nagata Lock only to take too much time showboating. Iaukea kicks Nagata away from him, and hits a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge pin to win. After the match, Chris Jericho shows up and says that Iaukea is not a cruiserweight because he is too fat to be one. Jericho says he will bring a scale to the ring later in the evening and have Iaukea stand on it to prove he is a liar, cheater and a fake who is above the 225 lb. weight limit and undeserving of a Cruiserweight title shot.
Raven shows up. He says that for years, he has listened to how Diamond Dallas Page has professed to be the hardest-working man in wrestling. Before he can say much else, a fan jumps the guardrail and tries to pull Raven out of the ring from the outside. Security quickly apprehends the fan, then Raven gets in the ring. He tries to speak again, but the microphone is cut off and he cannot even be heard until the camera near Raven is able to pick up Raven talking about how he had to spend time in Extreme Championship Wrestling and that all DDP had to do was leave his home, knock on his door and ask him for a job. He says that DDP refused to do that because he was jealous of him and how he was a bigger star than him. Raven then says DDP was supposed to be here tonight for a shot at the WCW United States Championship, but every time DDP has to earn something, he never shows up. As he says this, Raven has to switch microphones. Raven then says that when he kicks out of his Diamond Cutter and hits DDP with the Evenflow DDT at Spring Stampede, he will have his revenge.

Bagwell then says that at next week's Nitro, he will show Luger why he is buff and why he is the stuff along with why he is "the real Total Package."
"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Konnan with the Crippler Crossface. During the match, it is announced that there will be no time limit in the WCW Television Championship match between Benoit and Booker T at Spring Stampede.
Rick Rude boots Mike Tenay off the commentary table to guest on commentary for the next match.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after Rick Rude leaves the commentary table and handcuffs Duggan to the top rope from the apron. After the match, Hennig and Rude continue to gang up on Duggan until Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and The British Bulldog run to the ring. Hennig and Rude head to the back, but not before Rude tosses the keys to the handcuffs into the ring.
Lex Luger beats Glacier with the Torture Rack. During the match, Buff Bagwell is seen lounging on the stage while watching the match.
Kidman beats Psychosis. During the match, Chris Jericho shows up with a scale and standing on the apron, distracting referee Mark Curtis. La Parka shows up and hits Psychosis with a steel chair as he goes for the top rope guillotine leg drop, allowing Kidman to win with the Seven Year Itch. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Jericho in the ring. Jericho demands that Tony Schiavone refer to him as the master of 1,004 holds as well as lord and master of all the Jericho and that he not let any of the fans put their hands on him. He then says he has showed up with a scale as promised and calls out Prince Iaukea for the weigh-in. Iaukea shows up and gets on the scale, which reads 218 lbs. Jericho says the scale is not calibrated properly, then hits Iaukea in the head with the scale before putting him in the Lion Tamer.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship by disqualification against Chris Jericho after Jericho pulls Mickey Jay into the path of Booker T's drop kick off the top rope.
Mike Tenay announces that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is not in the building at this time due to inclement weather and will therefore not be interviewed tonight. After an apology is made, Eric Bischoff and Scott Steiner show up. Bischoff tells Schiavone to stop lying, as he, the people, and even Flair all know when he is lying. Bischoff tells Schiavone he can make excuses for Ric Flair, and says Flair is not here because he wakes up every morning, looks in the mirror and looks back at his career only to ask himself why he could not be remembered as the greatest wrestler in history and why he could not be better than "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. Bischoff says that Flair has to look at the empire as the nWo and ask himself why he could not be the man who built WCW. The show then goes to break.

He then says Flair is not here tonight for all the wrong reasons, and says that while Flair wasn't a movie star or a bodybuilder, he left a piece of himself wherever he went and he gave the people what they came for. He says that it is all about wrestling, and that all Flair ever asked for in return was a little dignity and respect and to be treated for who he is, as it is better than anything the nWo has going. Bischoff says Flair is garbage, and that he will be treated like it and that he hopes the people remember Anderson as the only person in WCW to come out and defend him. Suddenly, Lex Luger shows up, and Anderson says it is clear he is not the only one. Bischoff teases attacking Anderson, but Scott Steiner attacks Luger and they brawl to the back. Rick Steiner then sneaks up behind Eric Bischoff and hits him with a vertical suplex on the floor near the ramp while Ted DiBiase watches.
Before the next match, Kevin Nash says he has been watching clips throughout the show of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in the back and that he has noticed that "everything is hunky-dory when it's Hogan's way," but when someone gets in Hogan's path, "Macho Man" Randy Savage gets run over. He also says that he had Sting beat on Monday night until Hogan was so jealous of the fact that he would be World champion that he had to interfere. Nash goes on to say that he told Hogan how it would be, and that tonight, Hogan will see where the nWo lies and who they are loyal to - him, not Hogan. As for the Bat Match at Spring Stampede, he and Hogan are at a disadvantage, as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper made the match and everyone knows that Piper is "the finest switch hitter in the business." He also tells The Giant that he has not forgotten about him, and that he will take him out once and for all at Spring Stampede. He then says being this big and this sexy is just too sweet. After Rick Steiner shows up for the next match, Nash tells Rick Steiner that he is the one who got in Scott Steiner's head and that the rest of the nWo has showed up to back his actions.

Kevin Nash hits Rick Steiner with the Jackknife Power Bomb, and as WCW security shows up to arrest Nash again, the nWo attacks security. Ted DiBiase shows up with The Giant, who attacks the nWo, to end the show.
Perry Saturn beats Tokyo Magnum with the Rings of Saturn after applying the move three times in quick succession as if to prove he can apply it whenever he wants. After the match, he tells the rest of Raven's Flock to stay out of the next fight, saying it is his own, then calls out Goldberg. Raven's Flock gets in the ring, but Goldberg clears the ring out and Hammer and Saturn are seen brawling with each other as they make their way to the back.
Prince Iaukea beats Yuji Nagata with a Northern Lights suplex. During the match, Iaukea accidentally lands on one of his knees, and shortly afterwards, Sonny Onoo tries to trip Iaukea from the outside. Iaukea hits Onoo with a double axe handle off the top rope, but Yuji Nagata gets the momentum and goes for the Nagata Lock only to take too much time showboating. Iaukea kicks Nagata away from him, and hits a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge pin to win. After the match, Chris Jericho shows up and says that Iaukea is not a cruiserweight because he is too fat to be one. Jericho says he will bring a scale to the ring later in the evening and have Iaukea stand on it to prove he is a liar, cheater and a fake who is above the 225 lb. weight limit and undeserving of a Cruiserweight title shot.
Raven shows up. He says that for years, he has listened to how Diamond Dallas Page has professed to be the hardest-working man in wrestling. Before he can say much else, a fan jumps the guardrail and tries to pull Raven out of the ring from the outside. Security quickly apprehends the fan, then Raven gets in the ring. He tries to speak again, but the microphone is cut off and he cannot even be heard until the camera near Raven is able to pick up Raven talking about how he had to spend time in Extreme Championship Wrestling and that all DDP had to do was leave his home, knock on his door and ask him for a job. He says that DDP refused to do that because he was jealous of him and how he was a bigger star than him. Raven then says DDP was supposed to be here tonight for a shot at the WCW United States Championship, but every time DDP has to earn something, he never shows up. As he says this, Raven has to switch microphones. Raven then says that when he kicks out of his Diamond Cutter and hits DDP with the Evenflow DDT at Spring Stampede, he will have his revenge.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for March 26, 1998
The show starts with Eric Bischoff telling the production truck staff not to show anything until the nWo tells them to, or else they will have hell to pay. Doug Dellinger and WCW security are called to remove Eric Bischoff, and the footage from the main event from last Monday's Nitro is replayed.
Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero asks Chavo Guerrero Jr. if he has a title shot against Booker T and if he has to do everything he says. Chavo answers "yes" to both questions. Eddie says he is doing this because he loves him and because Chavo has not proven to him and the family, and tells him that Chavo will face "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit while Eddie takes his shot at the WCW World Television Championship.
"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. with the Crippler Crossface. During the match, Eric Bischoff and Rick Rude boot the commentary team off the commentary table and take over, insisting that there is no dissension within the New World Order and that WCW is manipulating footage to lie to the people.
The commentary team is back after the commercial break.

Bischoff says it does not take a college education to figure out why Hogan has disciples all over the world and see through "the gaga that WCW and [WCW Executive Committee Chairman] J.J. Dillon are trying to create." Hogan says it is another weak attempt by WCW to undermine the most powerful wrestling organization in the world today, and that the nWo is here for life. He says that he is as sure as all the men, women and children who worship the ground he walks on that he and Kevin Nash will win the Batmatch at Spring Stampede and that The Giant has run away, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was beaten up so badly that he will not be seen again and that "Macho Man" Randy Savage is hiding in the rafters with Sting. Suddenly, Kevin Nash shows up and says that since all the dirty laundry is being put out, he has a couple of questions. He says that everyone knows who is pulling the strings around here and that nobody is pulling his. He tells Hogan that he comes out week after week as the leader of the nWo, but that everyone knows that the Wolfpac (Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx) is the heart and soul of the nWo. Nash then asks why Syxx no longer has a job anymore in the nWo, as well as why Scott Hall isn't on live TV anymore due to being "too dangerous." Hogan tells Nash that it isn't his fault that Syxx can't "cut the mustard and run with the rest of the nWo," and as far as Scott Hall is concerned, he has no idea where he is at. Nash says that Hall isn't here, and Hogan tells Nash that they have a lot on the line at Spring Stampede and that there should be no reason for anybody to think there is dissension in the nWo. He says that Nash is the true giant, and if he has a problem with him or the decisions made in the nWo, he wants to hear them right now. Nash says there is a trust problem going on in the nWo already and that they already don't trust each other. Hogan says they have the same agenda, and that as long as they get the job done, that is all they have to worry about. As far as trusting him goes, he is willing to team up with Nash and trust him with his life while protecting him against anybody in WCW. Nash says "It would be an honor...brother" in a rather sarcastic fashion and leaves.

Dillon which stated that he would do all in his power to get the United States title from him. He tells Dillon "thanks, but no thanks," and says he would rather get it back himself as it would be more fun that way. He then says that he had a shot at the US title last Monday, and says that there is nobody with more respect for Sting than him. He then calls Raven "scum," and says that it was Jake "The Snake" Roberts who took him under his wing and that he will get him for everything he said on MTV. DDP also says he is sick to death of Raven's constant whining and complaining, and while Raven is at the bottom of the list of people he feels sorry for, he is at the top of the list of people ready to feel the bang.
Rick Rude guests on commentary for the next match, replacing Lee Marshall.
The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart vs. Curt Hennig and Brian Adams ends in a no-contest when the match gets out of control.
Saturn beats Diamond Dallas Page by count-out, and Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Raven shows up telling DDP to come and get the title if he wants it before DDP hits Saturn with the Diamond Cutter. Afterwards, DDP chases after Raven.

Rick Steiner beats Scott Norton. During the match, it is announced that there will be no Thunder next week. Later on, Scott Steiner shows up and tries to toss Rick Steiner's dog collar into the ring, but Rick grabs it and manages to nail both Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton with it. After the match, Rick chases Scott to the back.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash vs. Lex Luger and Sting ends in a no-contest after "Macho Man" Randy Savage runs in and attacks everyone in the match, including the referee. Hogan attacks Savage, but Nash shoves Hogan away from Savage, causing Hogan and Nash to argue with each other. The rest of the nWo runs in to attack Luger, and Sting has to make the save for him. Sting and Luger clean house, then Hogan and Nash argue again to end the show as the rest of the nWo hold them back.

Later on, Scott Steiner shows up and tries to toss Rick Steiner's dog collar into the ring, but Rick grabs it and manages to nail both Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton with it. After the match, Rick chases Scott to the back.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash vs. Lex Luger and Sting ends in a no-contest after "Macho Man" Randy Savage runs in and attacks everyone in the match, including the referee. Hogan attacks Savage, but Nash shoves Hogan away from Savage, causing Hogan and Nash to argue with each other. The rest of the nWo runs in to attack Luger, and Sting has to make the save for him. Sting and Luger clean house, then Hogan and Nash argue again to end the show as the rest of the nWo hold them back.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for March 19, 1998
Before the next match, Chris Jericho says everyone knows that "Terry Hut" is his favorite town, and that the Jerichoholics deserve to give him a round of applause for being their hero and role model. On the subject of Rey Mysterio Jr.'s knee, he says that sometimes, faces get slapped and feelings get hurt, and that it will never happen again.
Chris Jericho retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Super Calo with the Lion Tamer.
Kendall Windham beats El Dandy. During the match, Raven's Flock takes their seats in the front row, and Raven is seen holding up the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, which he has never officially won.
Tony Schiavone interviews Curt Hennig and Rick Rude. Hennig says "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan sent him on a mission to destroy Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, who was not in the building on Nitro and is not in the building tonight. He says that Bret is as dumb as he looks, and that if Bret says in Canada forever, he and Rude will have gotten the job done. Rude says Bret has a new nickname: Bret "The Zit Man" Hart, because at Uncensored, he and Hennig proved that Hart was "nothing more than a 240-lb. boil on the booty of life." He also says that with the rest of the Hart family, one will dredge up the same results should they fester up "a bad case of acne." Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for March 12, 1998
The Giant shows up to start tonight's show. He wants to know where Kevin Nash is, as he has not seen him around lately after it became an even playing field. Tonight, if the nWo has the guts, he will take them on single-handedly and by himself. He says that if they are as tough as they say they are, he will be slim pickings for Nash at Uncensored; if not, Nash will have hell to pay. Suddenly, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth show up, and Savage asks The Giant if he is hearing what he is thinking he is hearing before saying that if The Giant gets rid of Kevin Nash, it will leave "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan alone in the steel cage with him. He then says that with Hogan gone, the madness will get to business and he will get his hands on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Sting shows up and tells Savage it is his title, not "the title," but Savage warns Sting that with the right guy in the right place and the right time, there is no telling what will happen when the madness gets out of control. Sting tells Savage this is the right place and the right time and that he is the right guy, and tonight is good with him. Savage accepts the challenge.
Before the next match, Raven tells Brad Armstrong that tonight, they are scheduled to do battle; however, he advises him that discretion is the better part of valor. Raven tells Armstrong he understands his pain and frustration, and remembers how Armstrong was Rookie of the year and one-half of the tag team champions, and says that since then, his career has descended into mediocrity. Raven says he is aware of the "Armstrong Curse," and says the sins of the father are visited upon the son. He understands his respect for his father, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, but the bookers in WCW were jealous of him and took it out on Brad. He tells Armstrong to give in to his hate, anger and frustration, as he feels his pain. He then hits Brad Armstrong with an Evenflow DDT and pins him while saying "Quoth the Raven, nevermore." Raven beats Brad Armstrong.

Jericho then says he is not only the man of 1,004 holds; he is also the collector of trophies, as he has Juventud Guerrera's mask, the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and Rey Mysterio Jr.'s T-shirt. He plans to beat Malenko with the Texas Cloverleaf - Malenko's own hold - and when he does, he hopes Malenko will change the name of it to the "Canadian Jericho Leaf." He then says he and everyone knows that Malenko will never beat him for the title again.

Eddie says that last Monday night, his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr. had a chance to become a champion, but he dropped the ball like always and disgraced the Guerrero name. As a result, he has to come back out and raise the family name back up to the top. As Eddie continues to complain about Chavo, Chavo shows up and asks Eddie if he has something to say. Eddie says he has tried beating Chavo up, dragging his face all over the mat and handpicking opponents to move him up the ladder, but nothing has worked. He then says they should settle this man-to-man in the ring, and if he wins, Chavo has to do things the way he says, to whom he says and how he says, as he is going to change him from a loser to a winner. Chavo accepts on the condition that if he loses, Eddie had to do things "the Guerrero way" with honor, integrity and respect. Eddie accepts, and Chavo tells him to get in the ring right now.

He then tells Hogan the Thanksgiving feast is not over yet, because at the end of the night, Sting will have his hands full with him while "Macho Man" will be in the steel cage with Hogan. He says he will be watching Savage vs. Sting tonight, and that the nWo hates controversy and that they all just want to get along. Hogan says that after picking The Giant's bones, he and Hall will be on vacation as they watch Sting and Savage wrestle, because they will get rid of Sting and Savage once and for all.
Konnan beats Lizmark Jr. with the Tequila Sunrise. After the match, Konnan tries to unmask Lizmark Jr., but Juventud Guerrera shows up and hits Konnan with a springboard drop kick. Konnan sneaks up on Guerrera and attacks him from behind before knocking Lizmark Jr. out of the ring, then trips up Guerrera on the top rope and continues to attack him.

Hennig says that the people will see one of the best wrestling matches in a long time as he is a good wrestler, but there is a difference between being good and being great, and that when you talk about him and Rude beating up people since eighth grade along with Scott Norton, they have never lost a fight. Rude says WCW will be "Hart-less" next week on Nitro, as he and Hennig have purchased a round-trip ticket to Hades and back for Bret.

Yet again, head of WCW security Doug Dellinger cuffs The Giant's wrists with chains and a padlock with the help of local law enforcement, and he is once again led backstage. Suddenly, Kevin Nash shows up with a cup of coffee in his hand, and he splashes the coffee in his face. The Giant breaks the chains padlocked around his wrists under his own power and chases Kevin Nash to the back.

After the match, Malenko attacks Jericho from behind and unmasks Jericho only to reveal that the man behind the mask is not Jericho, but is instead Lenny Lane. Malenko is then struck from behind with the WCW Cruiserweight Championship by the real Jericho, who then puts Malenko in the Lion Tamer.

Scott Steiner tries to run away, but Luger punches Scott and throws him into the ring. Eric Bischoff mocks "Macho Man" Randy Savage, saying he is not a real man compared to "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, that a real man would admit that he has lived under Hogan's shadow all of his career, and that Savage is the second-most delusional human being he has ever met in his life. Hogan says it is quite clear that with him as the big kahuna, the whole nWo and his nWo-ites know that when you are with the nWo, you are with the nWo for life. He then says that once they line their ducks up in a row, Sting will be stung and that "Macho Man" will not be so macho anymore. Hogan then boasts about beating Savage like a dog on Nitro and proving that he made professional wrestling what it is today before calling himself "the real macho man." He also calls Harvard Lampoon's "Real Man of the Year" the biggest joke he has ever seen, as everybody knows that Miss Elizabeth was also his manager and that you would have to look at her skinny legs to see he is a man. He says that Scott Hall will make sure Sting is stung at Uncensored, and suggest that WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon find him another opponent, because Savage will not be there. He also says that if Savage had the intestinal fortitude to enter the arena tonight, he will beat him up again. Suddenly, Brian Adams interrupts, saying he does not want to stomp on any toes and that Hogan has nothing to prove, as Savage and everyone knows that Hogan is an icon and that he will beat the hell out of Savage. He also asks Hogan for the honor to take out Savage himself and let Hogan have the night off should Savage show up tonight. Hogan accepts, and Savage nothing to do with the nWo as they are just two sweet.
Bill Goldberg beats Vincent in mere seconds with just the Spear and the Jackhammer.
Eddie Guerrero beats Prince Iaukea after dropkicking Iaukea into the knee, tripping his off the top rope before he can hit a springboard move.

Kimberly, Spice and Fire and the Nitro Girls announce that WCW Road to Spring Party is making a stop at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina with "Mean" Gene Okerlund and all of the Nitro Girls. They will be broadcasting live from the campus and they will be bringing Nitro right to the Devil's Den. Students are asked to show their school spirit by partying with them, and while the University of Tennessee had a great Nitro party, they want to see if Duke can throw a better one. There will be free Domino's Pizza, WCW merchandise give-aways and much more.
Juventud Guerrera beats El Dandy. During the match, Raven's Flock takes their seats in the front row. After the match, Konnan shows up, calls Juvi "AnÃbal González" (which is part of his real name), then confronts him for interfering in his match and losing his mask before telling him to "get ready to get got" if he wants to challenge him on Nitro. Juvi says he does not care what Konnan has to say and that he is ready any time, anywhere.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up. He calls out Brian Adams and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, who show up along with Eric Bischoff. Savage confronts Hogan and Bischoff for calling him delusional and Hogan in particular for considering himself the leader of the nWo, and says the rest of the nWo want to shake his hand, smile to his face and stab him in the back at the drop of a hat. He also says his phone is ringing off the hook and that Hogan's friends want to band together with the main goal of getting Hogan out of the nWo. He then says he has known Hogan for too long, and the way he looks at it, Hogan is like a horse with a broken leg and is no good to anybody. He then says that at Uncensored, he will send Hogan to the glue factory. As for Brian Adams, if he is betting his career on Hogan, he will take that bet and raise him five, and after he gets done crushing Brian Adams, he wants Hogan in the middle of the ring so he can give him a piece of the madness. Hogan laughs, and says that Savage will be a comedian after Uncensored, and that he would love to come down to the ring and watch Brian Adams vs. Randy Savage tonight.

Mike Tenay interviews Raven in the ring. Raven says he has yearned from release from the labyrinth of his past, and the walls are bitters memories and the corridors hate. He then says he and Diamond Dallas Page had a volatile past, and that he helped him when nobody else would despite his arrogance. He says DDP did not remember him on the path to fame and glory while he spent three long years in "barbed wire city" making a name for himself and learned that if one is scarred badly enough, they no longer feel the pain. Tonight will be his vindication and DDP's Waterloo. He proved he can destroy "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, and tonight, he is taking the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. He says that if he wins, he will not put the title on the line at Uncensored so that Benoit and DDP can suffer in silence and agony like he did, and learn that they cannot escape their fate, as someone must pay for the pain of his past.

He says that he has realized that the fans really like him, and says he is their role model, hero and paragon of virtue and that they will continue to cheer for him like they always do. He says the fans have becoming "raging Jerichoholics," which he considers a big responsibility. He says the things that he has done for his fans have been misconstrued. He says he is a three-time Cruiserweight champion and that he is the man the fans should be looking up to, and that he should be put on a pedestal like the role model that he is. He also says that his heinous actions as of late will never happen again.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho says that he addresses the Jerichoholics with nothing but the honest truth each and every week, and that there has been a man in the dressing room asking for his advice and opinions. He says that Dean Malenko used to be "The Man of 1,000 Holds" before saying he knows 1,004 holds. Chris Jericho beats Ciclope with the Lion Tamer. After the match, Jericho refuses to release the hold, and Dean Malenko shows up to grab Jericho by the hair before suplexing him and putting him in the Texas Cloverleaf.
Scott Norton vs. The Renegade ends when The Giant makes a surprise return and Jackknife Power Bombs Norton before choke slamming The Renegade. The Giant then takes the microphone and hopes that Kevin Nash is watching closely from home, as the playing field is now even with his bad neck and Nash's bad back. He says "Checkmate...show up," before leaving the ring, having chains wrapped around his wrist and padlocked by security and local police, and getting escorted to the back.
Before the next match, Raven gives Diamond Dallas Page one last chance to beg for forgiveness before announcing that the next match is under Raven's Rules. DDP shows up, then tells him he's got his forgiveness "right here" before saying the match will be under "DDP rules" and that there will be no referee. DDP and Raven brawl their way towards the back, and "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit shows up from behind the backstage curtains and fights both Raven and DDP. As the match de-evolves into a brawl and returns to the ring, a rather large man in a tanktop, blue jeans and a plaid shirt wrapped around his waist shows up and attacks both DDP and Benoit. Hammer tosses a guardrail into the ring as the rest of Raven's Flock surrounds the ring, and Raven hits Benoit with an Evenflow DDT on the guardrail before doing the same to DDT.

Savage then fights both Adams and Hogan, and even hits them both with Hogan's weight belt. Adams grabs Savage from behind, and Miss Elizabeth goes for Adam's eyes before being trapped in the corner by Hogan. Savage then fights both Hogan and Adams again, but suddenly, he is attacked by a man in black leather and a jacket with the nWo logon the back. The man with the long blond hair and the sunglasses has shown up again, and he hits Savage with a neckbreaker before the rest of the nWo shows up and attacks Savage until Sting runs into the ring, chasing out the nWo members to end the show.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for February 26, 1998
Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho beat Booker T and Dean Malenko after Eddie pins Booker T while Malenko has Jericho in the Texas Cloverleaf.
This week on WCW Saturday Night: Disco Inferno! The British Bulldog! Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart! Eddie Guerrero! Raven! "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit!
Mike Tenay interviews Diamond Dallas Page in the ring. DDP says last week's match was everything he thought it was going to be, and "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit took him to another level as they both gave everything they had. He has more respect for Benoit now than he did before that night. DDP then says Benoit is not the kind of guy who will talk about you behind your back and not say it to your face in the ring, and that they have slapped each other when face-to-face, and knows that Benoit was "blind punching" when he hit him last week when he helped out against Raven. He then goes on to say that both he and Benoit think Raven is a piece of garbage. Suddenly, Raven shows up with the rest of Raven's Flock, asking where his shot at the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship is. DDP says that if he wants a title shot, all he has to do is come into the ring and get it. Raven says no, and says he wants him in the main event next Thursday. DDP tells Raven to be careful what he wants, as he just might get the bang.
Fit Finley beats Brad Armstrong.
The British Bulldog beats Dave Taylor.

Hennig says Bret "The Hit Man" Hart has to be one of the stupidest human beings alive, as he was given an opportunity to join the nWo and they welcomed him with open arms but he decided to join WCW. Hennig then says that he stepped up to the plate when "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan wanted Bret dealt with, as he and Bret Hart are the same size, have the same amount of experience and happen to be second-generation wrestlers. He also says that Bret's father could not beat his father, and asks what makes Bret think he can beat him. As for Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Neidhart is only facing him tonight because Bret is avoiding him, as he is the greatest athlete and wrestler the nWo has ever had. Hennig says it takes a lot of guts for Bret to call himself "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be," but when Bret steps in the ring with "the wrestler that made Minnesota famous," he will get the job done.

Yuji Nagata beats La Parka with the Nagata Lock. During the match, Sonny Onoo gets on the apron to distract referee Nick Patrick, and Disco Inferno runs in and hits Onoo with a Chart Buster. Meanwhile, La Parka tries to hit Nagata with the chair, but Nagata boots the steel chair into his face and applies the Nagata Lock for the win.
Scott Hall shows up. After the usual WCW/nWo survey, he talks about his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Uncensored, and says he has been wrestling every single night for the last two years while Sting has been hanging out up in the rafters. He admits that Sting has a cool entrance, but he wants to know what Sting has got when he steps through the ropes. The fans chant for Sting, and Hall says the fans want Sting, but not as bad as he wants Sting, and says that at Uncensored, he will have to prove to him that he is better, and he does not think he can. He then says that if Sting wants Scott Hall, "Don't sing it...bring it."
It is announced that WCW has been in negotiations with Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage all day, and next week on Nitro, Sting will team with Savage against "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan ans Scott Hall. Before the announcement is made, Lee Marshall is hit in the head with a football thrown from the crowd.
Buff Bagwell shows up, pretending to be Michael Buffer as he introduces Scott Steiner before making of Marty Jannetty. Scott Steiner then says it is great to be part of one of the best organizations in sports today, and says 24 hours can make quite a difference. On Sunday, he was eating breakfast with Rick Steiner, Lex Luger and Sting, and on Monday, Luger has the audacity to challenge him to a fight. If Luger wants to challenge him to a fight, he is there, and he beat him up and left him laying face down. He then says Lex Luger is an educated man who went to college, but did not go to Michigan University because Michigan did not want him. Instead, Michigan wanted him, because he is a better athlete. Scott Steiner then recites Michigan University's fight son, and says the song is about him and about Michigan, and while Luger may have a million dollar body, he will take that body and force him to suck his meals through a two cent straw if he challenges him again.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after Vincent tries to get involved. As Neidhart gets Vincent in a rear chinlock, he is attacked from behind by Brian Adams. During the match, Scott Steiner shows up on commentary, takes Lee Marshall's headset and tells both Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan that if they try to turn his brother Rick against him, he will smack them. He then tries to convince Rick Steiner to join the nWo, saying that he made a career decision to join the nWo and that the longer he waits, the window of opportunity for him to join will get smaller and smaller. He tells Rick that he wants an answer by tonight, and that the door is still open but is closing fast. After the match, Hennig, Vincent and Brian Adams gang up on Neidhart until The British Bulldog runs into the ring, clearing the nWo out.
We see a vignette where Kevin Nash brags about dropping The Giant on his head during Souled Out, demanding he be called "Big Sexy, the Giant Killer."
Before the next match, Raven says that Kevin Nash "is not popular with the suits at the corporate Superstation," and that it is no secret that he himself is considered a misfit and a freak. He says the powers that be have decided to have Kevin Nash wrestle him tonight, as they figured that someone was bound to get hurt and be put out of the sport. Raven then says he will wrestle Nash tonight, but it will be under Raven's Rules, and tonight, it will be battle royal style.
Raven's Flock beats Kevin Nash by disqualification in a Raven's Rules battle royal after Nash hits Lodi with a Jackknife Power Bomb. As predictably as ever, WCW head of security Doug Dellinger, WCW security and local law enforcement handcuff Nash and escort him out of the building as he speaks into the camera and tells The Giant that he everything is his fault and that The Giant does not want any of him.
Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship ends in a no-contest after Raven gets in the ring and attacks both men. Near the end of the match, the show cuts to the hard cam and zooms out due to Diamond Dallas Page's face being bloodied. After the match, Benoit tackles Raven out of the ring and fights him, and Diamond Dallas Page slingshots over the top rope to go after Raven to end the show.

Meanwhile, La Parka tries to hit Nagata with the chair, but Nagata boots the steel chair into his face and applies the Nagata Lock for the win.
Scott Hall shows up. After the usual WCW/nWo survey, he talks about his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Uncensored, and says he has been wrestling every single night for the last two years while Sting has been hanging out up in the rafters. He admits that Sting has a cool entrance, but he wants to know what Sting has got when he steps through the ropes. The fans chant for Sting, and Hall says the fans want Sting, but not as bad as he wants Sting, and says that at Uncensored, he will have to prove to him that he is better, and he does not think he can. He then says that if Sting wants Scott Hall, "Don't sing it...bring it."
It is announced that WCW has been in negotiations with Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage all day, and next week on Nitro, Sting will team with Savage against "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan ans Scott Hall. Before the announcement is made, Lee Marshall is hit in the head with a football thrown from the crowd.
Buff Bagwell shows up, pretending to be Michael Buffer as he introduces Scott Steiner before making of Marty Jannetty. Scott Steiner then says it is great to be part of one of the best organizations in sports today, and says 24 hours can make quite a difference. On Sunday, he was eating breakfast with Rick Steiner, Lex Luger and Sting, and on Monday, Luger has the audacity to challenge him to a fight. If Luger wants to challenge him to a fight, he is there, and he beat him up and left him laying face down. He then says Lex Luger is an educated man who went to college, but did not go to Michigan University because Michigan did not want him. Instead, Michigan wanted him, because he is a better athlete. Scott Steiner then recites Michigan University's fight son, and says the song is about him and about Michigan, and while Luger may have a million dollar body, he will take that body and force him to suck his meals through a two cent straw if he challenges him again.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after Vincent tries to get involved. As Neidhart gets Vincent in a rear chinlock, he is attacked from behind by Brian Adams. During the match, Scott Steiner shows up on commentary, takes Lee Marshall's headset and tells both Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan that if they try to turn his brother Rick against him, he will smack them. He then tries to convince Rick Steiner to join the nWo, saying that he made a career decision to join the nWo and that the longer he waits, the window of opportunity for him to join will get smaller and smaller. He tells Rick that he wants an answer by tonight, and that the door is still open but is closing fast. After the match, Hennig, Vincent and Brian Adams gang up on Neidhart until The British Bulldog runs into the ring, clearing the nWo out.
We see a vignette where Kevin Nash brags about dropping The Giant on his head during Souled Out, demanding he be called "Big Sexy, the Giant Killer."
Before the next match, Raven says that Kevin Nash "is not popular with the suits at the corporate Superstation," and that it is no secret that he himself is considered a misfit and a freak. He says the powers that be have decided to have Kevin Nash wrestle him tonight, as they figured that someone was bound to get hurt and be put out of the sport. Raven then says he will wrestle Nash tonight, but it will be under Raven's Rules, and tonight, it will be battle royal style.
Raven's Flock beats Kevin Nash by disqualification in a Raven's Rules battle royal after Nash hits Lodi with a Jackknife Power Bomb. As predictably as ever, WCW head of security Doug Dellinger, WCW security and local law enforcement handcuff Nash and escort him out of the building as he speaks into the camera and tells The Giant that he everything is his fault and that The Giant does not want any of him.
Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship ends in a no-contest after Raven gets in the ring and attacks both men. Near the end of the match, the show cuts to the hard cam and zooms out due to Diamond Dallas Page's face being bloodied. After the match, Benoit tackles Raven out of the ring and fights him, and Diamond Dallas Page slingshots over the top rope to go after Raven to end the show.

We see footage from earlier today where Chris Jericho is about to interviewed outside of the arena by Mike Tenay only for the New World Order to run out of the building and attack "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Lex Luger.
Bill Goldberg beats Fit Finley.
Psychosis beats Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up. Bischoff says that in this world, there are people who just do not believe, but tonight, he knows that Hogan will put all of the controversy to rest. Hogan says he hates controversy, and now that everything is copacetic and that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has seen "the nWo light," he hopes that Sting is at his best tonight when Savage drops the elbow from the top rope on him, as Savage has the whole nWo behind him and he is at the top of his game. He hopes Sting fights for his life, as it is just him and Sting this Sunday. He asks Savage to save him a piece of Sting so that when he beats him, it will be etched in stone for eternity. He also wants it to be known that nobody was robbed after what happened at Starrcade, as he and referee Nick Patrick were both robbed and everybody in the nWo wants Nick Patrick to be the referee for the World title match at SuperBrawl VIII. Hogan wants Nick Patrick to count the pinfall on Sting, and he makes it known that with the World title around his waist again, the nWo will be just too sweet.

Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom beat The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) by disqualification after Kevin Nash punches referee Mickey Jay before hitting Wayne Bloom with a Jackknife Power Bomb. Suddenly, The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart show up, and Neidhart and Bulldog challenge Hennig and Adams to a match. Both teams brawl almost immediately, and this brawl becomes an impromptu match.

Jericho says he does not know if he can handle the responsibility of revealing Juventud's face to the world on Sunday, and says that he will let him keep his mask on because if you see Juventud's face once, you will never want to see it again.

The New World Order carries "Macho Man" Randy Savage - whose face is covered with a Sting mask and whose chest has "NWO" spray painted on it - to the ring. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says that when you are in the nWo, you are in the nWo for life, and nobody knows it more than Savage. He then announces that the match between Savage and Sting is not going to happen as Savage has realized it is much better to run with the pack in nWo and he does not want to destroy Sting tonight, as Sting has been left for him. He then announces that everyone will have to watch SuperBrawl VIII to see him beat Sting. He also says that even though Sting is advertised for tonight and in the building, there is no way he will show his face with the whole nWo in the ring. Sting runs in almost immediately and lays out the rest of the nWo single-handedly. When he goes for Hogan, Hogan runs, but when the nWo gets the upper hand, he gets back in. Lex Luger shows up despite his ribs being taped up and helps Sting out to force the nWo to retreat and end the show.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for February 12, 1998
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up to start tonight's show. Bischoff says it is time to get serious as things are getting out of hand, and that the New World Order is declaring war on anybody and everybody associated with WCW from the highest executives all the way to the guys watering the plants in the offices. Hogan then says all the WCW fans and anyone associated with them are also fair game, as is Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Hogan calls Bret the #1 man on his hit list, and says he would still be world champion if it were not for him. Hogan promises to beat Bret up from one end of the place to the other regardless of where they meet, even if it is in the middle of Canada, then brings out "Macho Man" Randy Savage as he has something to say to him. Savage shows up, and Hogan says it is time for him to bare his soul. He tells Savage that from everything they have been through in the wrestling, he knows when he is right and especially knows when he is wrong, and that an apology is necessary. He says things have been crazy around the nWo as of late, and that Bischoff has taken it upon himself to fix things and has booked a match with the two of them against Lex Luger and Sting. He says that Sting will be stung by Hollywood, but he has placed Savage and Luger in the ring so that Savage can take care of business and get Luger ripe for the picking at SuperBrawl VIII. Hogan tells Savage to thank Bischoff for the opportunity, then Hogan says he had delusions of grandeur as far as the pecking order goes, and when Savage had the ball in his court, he outright fumbled. Hogan then demands that Savage look him in the eyes and apologize to him and Bischoff for not living up to his expectations. Savage apologizes to Hogan, and says he should have done it sooner before hitting Hogan with a forearm, grabbing Bischoff by the jacket collar and doing the same to him. Savage then runs away as Hogan gets back in the ring with a steel chair. Hogan is livid.
Louie Spicolli guests on commentary for the next match, replacing Lee Marshall.
Kidman beats Prince Iaukea. During the match, Raven and Riggs are seen backstage. Raven asks Riggs to get Hammer, then Mortis shows up, wanting to be part of Raven's Flock. Raven mocks Mortis for following James Vandenberg, whom he accuses of making Mortis wear "a clown costume" before asking Mortis if his mask is one of hate or one of shame. He then asks if there is any reason why he would want him, and if there is anything about him he is not showing. Raven then tells Mortis that if he wants to join the Flock, he has to be himself and true to who he is, and to be unafraid to be different, laughed at or scorned. He also tells Mortis that he has to beat Diamond Dallas Page.

Meng beats Hugh Morrus by pinfall with the Tongan Death Grip. During the match, it is announced that "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko will face Louie Spicolli at Souled Out. After the match, The Barbarian has to run into the ring to get Meng to let go of Hugh Morrus. Meng lets go, but then puts The Barbarian in the hold before chasing after Jimmy Hart.
Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Mortis. After the match, Raven's Flock shows up, and Van Hammer carries Mortis on his shoulders to the ramp, where he drops Mortis in front of Raven, who slaps Lodi before hitting Mortis with an Evenflow DDT.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart ends in a no-contest after The British Bulldog shows up and stops Mongo from using the steel steps, leading to a brawl on the outside between The Bulldog and Mongo.
It is announced that the brawl between Steve "Mongo" McMichael and The British Bulldog has been broken up backstage, yet both men are still shouting at each other.

He also mentions the Bill Clinton impeachment investigation as he does so. After the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichael runs into the ring and brawls with The Bulldog again, and referees and members of WCW security have to pull them apart again.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan then runs in and attacks Savage, then members of the nWo run in and attack Luger and Flair. Sting then runs into the ring and fights off the nWo alongside Luger and Flair to end the show.

During the match, Disco Inferno hits the Chart Buster, but Kidman jumps the guardrail and puts one of Saturn's feet on the bottom rope during the pinfall. Saturn hits a standing side kick, but Disco kicks out from that. Saturn ends up winning with the Rings of Saturn after Kidman pushes Saturn down and onto the back of Disco. After the match, Booker T gets in the ring and brawls with Saturn, and quickly gets the upper hand.
Mike Tenay interviews suspended referee Nick Patrick. He says it has been a week since WCW allowed him to tell his side of the story, and asks the fans if he made the right call at Starrcade. After accusing the fans of being brainwashed by the announcers, he then says he has gotten off the phone with his lawyers, and announces that next week on Nitro, he will be reinstated as head referee of WCW on the fact that he has never gotten a hearing, saying WCW Executive Committee Chairman never set one up because his lawyers would drag skeletons out of the closet that he was not want drug out.
Before the next match, Scott Hall admits he is not the smartest guy in town, but he still has not figured out how he does not get a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Souled Out even though he won the World War 3 Match. He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper might rip him and the fans off, but The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) pride themselves on being the fans' champions. He then says that if The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) want another shot at the tag team titles, they've got it.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for January 29, 1998
After only three episodes, the fourth episode debuts a new look with a lot of metallic-looking elements. Ventilation shafts can be seen in the background as part of the stage, and various rooftop elements can be seen at the side of the stage during the show. The detailed apron that is painted to look like a wall made of stones is gone; replaced by a simple gray apron and mat with the Thunder logo on the sides.
Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sick Boy after lifting Sick Boy up into the air before hitting the Diamond Cutter. Kidman and Lodi of Raven's Flock are seen in the front row during the match (it is revealed later in the show that Scotty Riggs and Van Hammer are there with them). After the match, Kidman and Lodi consider jumping the guardrail, but Scotty Riggs hits Lodi to make him reconsider, allowing Diamond Dallas Page to leave through the crowd in celebration.
Mike Tenay interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. Dillon says it would be an understatement to say he was shocked and appalled by the blatant disregard for rules and authority displayed by Kevin Nash on Nitro. He says the Jackknife Power Bomb was banned for good reason and that the Executive Committee means business, and announces that WCW has levied a fine of $50,000 against Nash. He hopes that this is the first and last time anyone is fined for performing the move, and also hopes it will wipe the smirk off Nash's face. Dillon also admits he has suspicions as to who will be paying the fine, and says that people who run in Hollywood circle know that there are budgets to everything. He says that if enough fines are levied, then the Executive Committee will get the people's attention and prove that they mean business.
Meng beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall with the Tongan Death Grip. At one point in the match, Duggan yanks the coat off of Jimmy Hart and drapes it over Meng's face before punching him a few times. Later on in the match, Jimmy Hart grabs Duggan's 2x4 and holds on to the referee to try to toss it to Meng. Duggan grabs the 2x4 instead and breaks it over Meng's back, but it only brings Meng to his knees and does not knock him out. After Duggan punches Jimmy Hart off the apron, Meng locks Duggan in the Tongan Death Grip as soon as he turns around. Meng pins Duggan to the mat with the hold to get the win.

Bill Goldberg beats Yuji Nagata. After the match, Sonny Onoo tries to attack Goldberg from behind, but Goldberg turns around and scares him off.
Scott Hall shows up. After taking a survey to see who came for WCW and for The New World Order, he reminds everyone that he won World War 3 in the midst of the drama between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Sting, and verbally blasts "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for "coming down in a dress" and telling him his dream of winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship won't come true. He then says where he comes from, it is not how many times one goes down but how many times one gets back up, and that he his coming for Piper and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. He then introduces "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who makes his way to the ring. Dusty tells the crowd to pay attention, and says that in 1981, corporate America tried to tear down what he helped build: the tradition of professional wrestling. He says that he talked to the corporate powers that be, and he told them to take their suits and shove them. Afterwards, he was moved down to color commentary, and after carrying Tony Schiavone for so many years, he got sick and tired of it. It was then that Eric Bischoff, whom he calls "a man of vision," eased in, and The New World Order became the soundboard for professional wrestling as we know it. He says that the nWo is why people watch television, go to the arenas, and help everybody make a living in WCW. Scott Hall then says that when you are nWo, you are nWo for life, and Dusty tells "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "the marks on the Internet" that there will be no comeback, and tells WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon not to tell the nWo what to do, as they will do what they want when they want to, how they want to and to whomever they want to do it. He also says that if someone much smaller than Kevin Nash cannot defend themselves against Nash, then they should not get in the ring with Nash. He also tells Syxx, who is still currently out with an injury, that he is just "too sweet."
It is announced that WCW Nitro is now available on Sony PlayStation wherever video games are sold.

Disco Inferno takes advantage of the situation by wriggling out of the Outsider's Edge and hitting the Chart Buster, but "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes pulls one of Hall's legs to the underside of the bottom rope to break up the pinfall attempt. Disco never regains any momentum, and Scott Hall hits the Outsider's Edge to get the win.

He says it has been a month since he has been suspended without pay following the outcome of Sting vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade, and asks the crowd if they have ever seen two officials officiate in exactly the same way, and says that all of the WCW referees have their own unique cadence. He then says the World title match at Starrcade match was more of a brawl than a wrestling match, and says there was only one pinfall attempt in the match which he counted with his own cadence before Bret "The Hit Man" Hart took it upon himself to knock him out and reverse the decision himself despite not being a licensed official. He then says it is an outrage to him and the fans that WCW agreed with Bret's reverse decision and fired him afterwards, as it desecrates the World title. He then says that according to his lawyers, the fans will be seeing him again on WCW programming, and that he stands by his reputation, his decision and his count until his dying day. As for the rematch, he wants to be the man who referees it so he can prove he is "for real," not "4 lyfe."

Rick Martel suddenly shows up and fights one of them off. When Saturn goes after Martel, Booker T goes for a roll-up from behind and gets the win. After the match, Saturn pushes Booker T into Martel, and Martel gets in the ring thinking Booker T hit him on purpose. This leads to an short argument between Booker T and Martel.
"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko beat Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero with a Crippler Crossface to Jericho. After the match, Mike Tenay interviews Benoit in the ring. He says his chapter with Raven has come to an end after their battle at Souled Out, and that he needs no belt of gold around his waist to prove how good he is, and all he needs is an opponent and the fans to tune in for the match. Due to his political incorrectness and his affiliations, however, he does not get all the opportunities, but he will continue inflicting pain and punishment and crippling opponents until someone takes notice. Suddenly, Diamond Dallas Page shows up and says he is taking notice. He says Benoit has never gotten a shot at the title or been in the main event is because "the so-called promoters" never saw Benoit as a main eventer. He says the promoters saw him the same way, but they were wrong about him and they are wrong about Benoit, because he can tell how badly he wants it by the look in his eyes, which reminds DDP of himself. He then says the only difference between himself and Benoit is that what Benoit wants, he has, and since the promoters won't make the match, he wants to see how the people react. He asks the crowd if there is anybody who wants to see them get it on, and he is met with positive fan reaction. DDP then says the people have spoken, and Benoit tells DDP to name the time and place, and if DDP wants to give him a shot, he will take it. DDP says it will be in Beaumont, Texas next week on Thunder. Benoit accepts.

Members of the local police show up, and Nash allows himself to be handcuffed and arrested when he gets out of the ring. Nash then says to the camera "Make sure Jack Ruby ain't sittin' in the back, alright?!" Konnan and Buff Bagwell asks if Nash will be bailed out, and Nash tells them to call "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan as Nash is led out to the back to end the show.
