Owen Hart, 1965 - 1999.
Backstage, Bam Bam Bigelow tells Raven and Saturn that if it were not for Kanyon, they would not be tag team champions. He also says he has a partner after they told him to get himself one last week: Diamond Dallas Page, who attacks Raven and Saturn with a 2x4. DDP and Bigelow wipe out Raven and Saturn.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Tony Schiavone announces that WCW is saddened at the recent death of Owen Hart, and that WCW sends their thoughts and prayers to Owen's family at this time.
Van Hammer, now with a new, more aggressive and modern all-black look with studded leather boots, beats Chavo Guerrero Jr.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Disco Inferno. Okerlund asks Disco to take his sunglasses off, and we see the results of what "Macho Man" Randy Savage did to him last week. Disco says Savage is running around with three women he says Savage could have picked up from the bowling alley at four o'clock in the morning, and calls them Savage's "traveling show of pimps and hos." He says that he has blurred vision in one of his eyes after the attack on him and everyone else in the ring so Savage could get to Kevin Nash, and that if Savage wants Nash so badly, he could have led him to him as he is not a hard man to find. Instead, Savage tried to make a statement by taking out younger talent. He wants to know why Savage wants to pick on young talent, and chalks it up to feeling threatened by them. He says that the young talent will not lay down for this, and that Savage has created more problems than solutions because of it. Ernest "The Cat" Miller suddenly shows up along with Sonny Onoo. They say that they are tired of Disco being a crybaby, and The Cat tells Disco to be a man. He goes on to say that everyone in the locker room is a punk, but Disco tells The Cat to get out of the ring. The Cat says people came here to dance, not to see Disco cry. Disco tells him to leave, and The Cat responds by telling Okerlund to leave before pushing Disco. Disco responds by punching The Cat, and that starts a beatdown that has to be stopped by two other referees. The Cat then asks if anyone else wants some, and dares someone to get in the ring with him. All the while, the black-and-white nWo are watching from backstage, and tell Scott Norton - who has shaving cream on his face - that The Cat is calling him out again. Scott Norton heads to the ring as the rest of the black-and-white nWo laugh, and attacks The Cat. The Cat leaves the ring, saying that he did not have time to tell him his hands and feet are registered weapons, and that he cannot tear him apart tonight. He ends up carrying Onoo to the back after Onoo runs away from Norton.
Tony Schiavone plugs the WCW Hotline with an interview with Booker T on The Ross Report on Option 2.
Mike Tenay enters WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's office.
WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson talk to El Dandy. Flair says there are convinced that El Dandy is the greatest Mexican warrior of all time, and that past champions have come and gone and that El Dandy is the man. Flair says that as President, he wants to make him the biggest Latin star in the world. All he has to do is lose to his son David Flair and he will make him a star. Also, he tells him that he will be eating better in America after that, and that he will be eating steaks and chicken instead of tacos. After El Dandy leaves, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker shows up, calling Flair out and accusing him of reneging on his word on giving him a job in the WCW offices. Flair makes it up to him by putting him in a tag team match with one of The Four Horsemen (Flair, Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko). Anderson tells Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker that he has a match with Benoit, and that tonight is his shot. After Parker leaves, Flair and Anderson tell the cameraman to cut the camera off.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Mike Tenay. Tenay talks about "Macho Man" Randy Savage's recent actions, and announces that Kevin Nash has demanded a match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Savage. The match has now been made official for The Great American Bash on June 13th. Okerlund then interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and tells Nash that he issued the challenge and has the match. He says that Savage is a punk for elbow dropping his personnel, and before all is said and done, the elbow drop will be made illegal and Nash will roll him up like a sheet of paper at The Great American Bash. He also tells Eric Bischoff that he and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper can tell their story walking, as he is the one and only president of WCW and nobody in blue jeans and Nike tennis shoes is ever going to take his position or place. As for his dealing with Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker and El Dandy, he is simply giving superstars in WCW a chance to climb up the ladder at a faster pace.
David Flair beats El Dandy after WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair distracts the referee from the apron and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits El Dandy with a spinebuster. Before the match, Tony Schiavone and World Championship Wrestling send their condolences to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, who has cancelled his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno - where he would have answered Kevin Nash's challenge - to be with his family in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Buff Bagwell. He thought it was a big deal to be in the ring with "Macho Man" Randy Savage, but he says Savage is not so tough. If he wants to attack everyone, then Disco is right to say that the older guys feel a bit threatened. If Savage wants another shot at him, he has no problem, but tonight, there are bigger and better things. He talks about how Rick Steiner left him laying paralyzed in the ring, and that Rick has a change of heart in following "Big Poppa Chump" Scott Steiner. He tells Rick to bring it on, because in the end, he will prove why he is buff and he is the stuff. As for Diamond Dallas Page, he has no problem taking him on in the ring, too.
We see a video package spanning Eric Bischoff's career in WCW all the way up to the present moment.
Juventud Guerrera slips on water that falls onto the ramp as he douses his head with it, and lands on his rear end. Thankfully, he is not hurt.
A 12-man cruiserweight battle royal to determine the next #1 contender for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship is thrown out. During the match, it is announced that WCW Mayhem will be coming to Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation in August. Also, Jimmy Yart gets in the ring and eliminates several of the cruiserweights before throwing the referee out of the ring. Kidman is the last to stay and fight, but Hugh Morrus decimates him and hits him with No Laughing Matter. Rey Mysterio Jr. eventually shows up and hits Jimmy Hart before drop kicking Hugh Morrus off the top rope as he goes for a second No Laughing Matter.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper says he has had about 50 fights in Greenville, South Carolina and two or three in the ring there. He says Greenville is a fighting town and is getting a reality check tonight. He talks about "Macho Man" Randy Savage's attack on him last week, then proceeds to pick up where they left off, lies on the mat and tells Savage to come on down. Miss Madness, Madusa and Gorgeous Show up, but Savage do not. Piper wants to know where Savage is, but Gorgeous George says Savage is being honored someplace where Piper isn't. Piper says Gorgeous George should be dating someone from Baywatch, not The Addams Family, and Piper says he will not hit her. Suddenly, WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and goes at it with Piper, and Madusa, Miss Madness and Gorgeous George run away alongside "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow also run into the ring and attack Piper, and Bigelow hits Piper with a top rope headbutt. DDP then tells Flair he owes him. Flair says "Whatever your heart desires, DDP, name it." Diamond Dallas Page says he wants a shot at the tag team titles with Bam Bam Bigelow. Flair makes it official for The Great American Bash, then attacks Piper again as two men check on him and asks "Now who's the boss?" He then tells Piper that it's the two of them at The Great American Bash.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson talks to "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko backstage. Malenko says it has come to a point where he is fed up with not being used in the right capacity after three years. He says that he and Benoit have been in the company for three years and have gotten nothing, and even after Flair took over, Flair and everyone else is out for themselves. Malenko says it is like you have to have a driver's license saying you are 45 years old in order to get a push. Anderson tries to talk to them, but Malenko tells Benoit they have to take care of themselves and do things their way. Malenko tells Benoit to take his time with Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker, and asks "What are they gonna do? Fire us?"
We see a video package regarding Sting and Lex Luger.
We see footage of the grand opening of The Nitro Grill at the Excalibur in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring many WCW superstars as well as Kevin Eubanks of the Tonight Show band.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who is having his ribs taped up by a trainer. Piper says he got a reality check, but he tells WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair that he is just getting started. He tells Flair to keep Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow and challenges him to a six-man tag team match tonight.
It is announced that a new announcement concerning WCW and Tommy Boy Records will be made next week. Suddenly, Curt Hennig guests on commentary, and when told about the new partnership between WCW and Tommy Boy Records, Hennig says "Is that more rap?", says he destroyed Konnan and showed how much of an athlete he is, then asks what happened to country and rhythm and blues. He says that hip-hop music makes him so sick that he almost tossed his cookies, and if he sees one more car jumping up and down or another Konnan wanna-be, then makes fun of the hip-hop genre before asking what happened to music. He goes on to say he can sing and dance and do everything that there is to offer.
We see footage of a press conference concerning World Championship Wrestling and Tommy Boy Records.
"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker with the Crippler Crossface.
Before the next match, Scott Steiner apologizes to all his female fans watching on TV, because tonight, he came here to find a freak, not to wrestle. He says that when he's on top, he keeps it tight, and he doesn't stop until you say "boomshakalaka." He also says to whisper something nice, and he'll make you scream twice. He also makes it clear that Rick Steiner with him, and to bow down to him, Rick and the greatest tag team that ever lived. Now that they are back together due to Rick coming around to his way of thinking and because WCW sucks, they have a commissioner running around in a dress, and while that is a big hit here, he wouldn't last two minutes in Detroit. He also says that WCW has a president in a psychiatric ward getting shock treatment. From now on, Rick is with him in the nWo red-and-black. Rick says Bagwell is crying about his neck injury, and says it will be the first thing he goes for. When he not's riding with Scott Steiner, he's sitting on the porch with a bone and waiting for fresh meat, and Bagwell is fresh meat. He says if you don't like him, to bite him. He also says that if anyone in the back wants some, they can come get some, because he is "the D.F.G.," and he's going nowhere.
Buff Bagwell vs. Rick Steiner for the WCW World Television Championship ends when a monster truck when a man in a Sting mask drives a Sting monster truck down the aisle. The man in the mask is Lex Luger, and the real Sting is in the ring with his baseball bat, keeping The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) out of the ring. Rick Steiner retains the WCW World Television Championship.
Konnan's "Str8 Up" T-shirt is available for $20 plus $5.95 shipping and handling.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Curt Hennig complains about Konnan and hip-hop again. Konnan shows up, grabs Curt Hennig off commentary and proceeds to fight him. Hennig takes the boots of Konnan, but Konnan fights back and sends him rolling out of the ring with a facebuster. The brawl continues to the backstage area before the commercial break.
Hugh Morrus and Jimmy Hart are in the ring. Mike Tenay interviews them, and Jimmy Hart calls out Rey Mysterio Jr. Hugh Morrus says that it has been the same old guys in the same old matches for the last four years, and says it was time for him to shake things up a a bit. Rey Mysterio Jr. runs into the ring, and they have an impromptu match. Rey ends up going down, and Hugh Morrus and Jimmy Hart place a steel chair through Rey's neck. Konnan shows up and keeps Morrus pre-occupied, telling him not to do it. Kidman slides into the ring and powerbombs Morrus off the top rope, then Rey and Konnan take care of Jimmy Hart before they and Kidman take care of Morrus.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hollywood Hogan, who makes his first appearance since Spring Stampede. Hulk Hogan limps to the ring on crutches. Hogan says "the wheel" gets a little better each and every day, and says he is here to congratulate Kevin Nash for getting the "nWo/WCW World Heavyweight title" back in the Wolfpac. Hogan says he has had a lot of time to sit back in front of his big screen TV and watch a lot of wrestling, and says that when he gets his hands on Diamond Dallas Page, it will make losing the World title look pretty good in comparison. He says he will make DDP his number one priority when he comes back. He then says that what he has seen on TV lately is something he does not like. He says a lot of happening in the wrestling business, from the "triple-X porno wrestling" on the other stations right back to WCW, is something he does not like. He says a lot of people do not realize that he has been on top from day one, main eventing all over the world each and every night, but what many people don't know is that he is the master of backstage politics and "the stroke" behind the curtains, and when it comes to playing the game, nobody plays it better than he does. He says that people see Goldberg and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, but they don't see them backstage like he does. From what he has seen of the business, he does not like it one bit, and when he gets back, he will be coming back to make a statement and change the business, as he has wrestling in his blood and he is in the business for life.
Kevin Nash shows up. Nash talks about how "Macho Man" Randy Savage has been out of control for the past week, and where he grew up, if you had a problem with someone, you went to their house and worked it out one way or another, not beat everyone else in the streets up. If Savage wants him for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he's got him for the title at The Great American Bash. He says it is about time a championship put a shine on the World title, and he's started polishing it now and will continue to polish it for a very long time. Suddenly, "Macho Man" Randy Savage's music hits, but Miss Madness, Madusa and Gorgeous George are the only ones to show up. Gorgeous George is seen using crutches again on the way to the ring. Nash says that he does not have a problem with any of them, and assumes Madusa is Savage's spokesperson. Nash says he enjoys seeing Madusa wrestle, but he would rather see her box. Madusa tries to slap him, but he catches it. Miss Madness grabs his leg, and Gorgeous George hits him in the back with a crutch to no effect. Madusa then hits Nash with a low blow as soon as he turns around, then jumps on top of him for an attempted sleeper hold before Savage runs in and hits Nash in the head with the World title. Savage then pulls out a tube of lipstick and applies it to Nash's face.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper's partners are revealed to be "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko of The Four Horsemen. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson believe that Benoit and Malenko are here to help out, but they end up standing with Piper, causing a split in The Four Horsemen. A fan tries to charge the ring, but he is quickly caught by security.
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko after Raven and Saturn go into the ring and go after DDP and Bigelow. Piper puts Flair in a sleeper hold, but Asya hits Piper from behind with a double ax handle. Piper still manages to fight back and toss Flair over the top rope before putting him in the Figure Four Leg Lock while Benoit stomps Flair. Flair retreats, then we see Hogan standing in front of a downed DDP backstage. Hogan has apparently attacked DDP with his crutches, and tells him that paybacks are hell.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for March 5, 1998
The show starts with "Macho Man" Randy Savage receiving the Harvard Lampoon Real Man of the Year award for 1998 as part of a message from the New World Order. Savage says he knows what is wrong with the nWo and knows how to fix it as he receives his award. He is also seen signing autographs as he says that the pecking order of the nWo has changed and that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is no longer "the big kahuna."
The New World Order shows up. Eric Bischoff mocks "Macho Man" Randy Savage, saying he is not a real man compared to "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, that a real man would admit that he has lived under Hogan's shadow all of his career, and that Savage is the second-most delusional human being he has ever met in his life. Hogan says it is quite clear that with him as the big kahuna, the whole nWo and his nWo-ites know that when you are with the nWo, you are with the nWo for life. He then says that once they line their ducks up in a row, Sting will be stung and that "Macho Man" will not be so macho anymore. Hogan then boasts about beating Savage like a dog on Nitro and proving that he made professional wrestling what it is today before calling himself "the real macho man." He also calls Harvard Lampoon's "Real Man of the Year" the biggest joke he has ever seen, as everybody knows that Miss Elizabeth was also his manager and that you would have to look at her skinny legs to see he is a man. He says that Scott Hall will make sure Sting is stung at Uncensored, and suggest that WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon find him another opponent, because Savage will not be there. He also says that if Savage had the intestinal fortitude to enter the arena tonight, he will beat him up again. Suddenly, Brian Adams interrupts, saying he does not want to stomp on any toes and that Hogan has nothing to prove, as Savage and everyone knows that Hogan is an icon and that he will beat the hell out of Savage. He also asks Hogan for the honor to take out Savage himself and let Hogan have the night off should Savage show up tonight. Hogan accepts, and Savage nothing to do with the nWo as they are just two sweet.
Bill Goldberg beats Vincent in mere seconds with just the Spear and the Jackhammer.
Eddie Guerrero beats Prince Iaukea after dropkicking Iaukea into the knee, tripping his off the top rope before he can hit a springboard move.
This weekend on WCW Saturday Night: Disco Inferno vs. Lodi! Dean Malenko vs. Kidman! Scott Steiner vs. Ray Traylor!
Kimberly, Spice and Fire and the Nitro Girls announce that WCW Road to Spring Party is making a stop at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina with "Mean" Gene Okerlund and all of the Nitro Girls. They will be broadcasting live from the campus and they will be bringing Nitro right to the Devil's Den. Students are asked to show their school spirit by partying with them, and while the University of Tennessee had a great Nitro party, they want to see if Duke can throw a better one. There will be free Domino's Pizza, WCW merchandise give-aways and much more.
Juventud Guerrera beats El Dandy. During the match, Raven's Flock takes their seats in the front row. After the match, Konnan shows up, calls Juvi "Aníbal González" (which is part of his real name), then confronts him for interfering in his match and losing his mask before telling him to "get ready to get got" if he wants to challenge him on Nitro. Juvi says he does not care what Konnan has to say and that he is ready any time, anywhere.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up. He calls out Brian Adams and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, who show up along with Eric Bischoff. Savage confronts Hogan and Bischoff for calling him delusional and Hogan in particular for considering himself the leader of the nWo, and says the rest of the nWo want to shake his hand, smile to his face and stab him in the back at the drop of a hat. He also says his phone is ringing off the hook and that Hogan's friends want to band together with the main goal of getting Hogan out of the nWo. He then says he has known Hogan for too long, and the way he looks at it, Hogan is like a horse with a broken leg and is no good to anybody. He then says that at Uncensored, he will send Hogan to the glue factory. As for Brian Adams, if he is betting his career on Hogan, he will take that bet and raise him five, and after he gets done crushing Brian Adams, he wants Hogan in the middle of the ring so he can give him a piece of the madness. Hogan laughs, and says that Savage will be a comedian after Uncensored, and that he would love to come down to the ring and watch Brian Adams vs. Randy Savage tonight.
We see a video package of Lex Luger's calling out of Scott Steiner prior to their match at Uncensored.
Scott Steiner beats Chase Tatum with the Steiner Recliner.
We see a video package of The Giant hitting Kevin Nash with a Jackknife Power Bomb.
Curt Hennig beats Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart after Rick Rude hits Neidhart with a 2x4 as Hennig distracts referee Mickey Jay. After the match, Hennig and Rick Rude continue to attack Neidhart, then The British Bulldog runs into the ring and chases them away.
Mike Tenay interviews Raven in the ring. Raven says he has yearned from release from the labyrinth of his past, and the walls are bitters memories and the corridors hate. He then says he and Diamond Dallas Page had a volatile past, and that he helped him when nobody else would despite his arrogance. He says DDP did not remember him on the path to fame and glory while he spent three long years in "barbed wire city" making a name for himself and learned that if one is scarred badly enough, they no longer feel the pain. Tonight will be his vindication and DDP's Waterloo. He proved he can destroy "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, and tonight, he is taking the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. He says that if he wins, he will not put the title on the line at Uncensored so that Benoit and DDP can suffer in silence and agony like he did, and learn that they cannot escape their fate, as someone must pay for the pain of his past.
We see a video package of Chris Jericho. He says that he has realized that the fans really like him, and says he is their role model, hero and paragon of virtue and that they will continue to cheer for him like they always do. He says the fans have becoming "raging Jerichoholics," which he considers a big responsibility. He says the things that he has done for his fans have been misconstrued. He says he is a three-time Cruiserweight champion and that he is the man the fans should be looking up to, and that he should be put on a pedestal like the role model that he is. He also says that his heinous actions as of late will never happen again.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho says that he addresses the Jerichoholics with nothing but the honest truth each and every week, and that there has been a man in the dressing room asking for his advice and opinions. He says that Dean Malenko used to be "The Man of 1,000 Holds" before saying he knows 1,004 holds. He says that until Malenko has the same respect for the business and experience that he has as well as half the talent he possesses, he will never win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from him.
Chris Jericho beats Ciclope with the Lion Tamer. After the match, Jericho refuses to release the hold, and Dean Malenko shows up to grab Jericho by the hair before suplexing him and putting him in the Texas Cloverleaf.
Scott Norton vs. The Renegade ends when The Giant makes a surprise return and Jackknife Power Bombs Norton before choke slamming The Renegade. The Giant then takes the microphone and hopes that Kevin Nash is watching closely from home, as the playing field is now even with his bad neck and Nash's bad back. He says "Checkmate...show up," before leaving the ring, having chains wrapped around his wrist and padlocked by security and local police, and getting escorted to the back.
Before the next match, Raven gives Diamond Dallas Page one last chance to beg for forgiveness before announcing that the next match is under Raven's Rules. DDP shows up, then tells him he's got his forgiveness "right here" before saying the match will be under "DDP rules" and that there will be no referee. He tells referee Nick Patrick to leave, then the next match begins. DDP and Raven brawl their way towards the back, and "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit shows up from behind the backstage curtains and fights both Raven and DDP. As the match de-evolves into a brawl and returns to the ring, a rather large man in a tanktop, blue jeans and a plaid shirt wrapped around his waist shows up and attacks both DDP and Benoit. Hammer tosses a guardrail into the ring as the rest of Raven's Flock surrounds the ring, and Raven hits Benoit with an Evenflow DDT on the guardrail before doing the same to DDT.
Before the next match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage says that what "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan said earlier in the show about Miss Elizabeth has some merit. After admitting she was his wife as well as his and Hogan's manager, then Miss Elizabeth says "Macho Man' Randy Savage is the real man. Brian Adams has to hold Hogan back. Savage says that if Hogan has a problem with that, then he will have problems with having to ask his wife who the real man is. Savage then fights both Adams and Hogan, and even hits them both with Hogan's weight belt. Adams grabs Savage from behind, and Miss Elizabeth goes for Adam's eyes before being trapped in the corner by Hogan. Savage then fights both Hogan and Adams again, but suddenly, he is attacked by a man in black leather and a jacket with the nWo logon the back. The man with the long blond hair and the sunglasses has shown up again, and he hits Savage with a neckbreaker before the rest of the nWo shows up and attacks Savage until Sting runs into the ring, chasing out the nWo members to end the show.
He says that Dean Malenko used to be "The Man of 1,000 Holds" before saying he knows 1,004 holds. He says that until Malenko has the same respect for the business and experience that he has as well as half the talent he possesses, he will never win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from him.

The Giant then takes the microphone and hopes that Kevin Nash is watching closely from home, as the playing field is now even with his bad neck and Nash's bad back.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 9, 1998
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Bischoff says he's achieved so much in so little time is because he followed "Hollywood's rules." Hogan says he is tired of hearing about the New World Order unwinding and that "Macho Man" Randy Savage is leading a rebellion. Hogan says the nWo is here to take care of all the family business tonight, saying that this is not a case of "spare the rod and spoil the child" as he will show Savage why there is a pecking order and why everyone should be worshiping the ground he walks on. He knows Savage is here, and as soon as he and the nWo find him, he will give him the wrestling lesson of his life. Hogan doesn't have to wait long, however, as Savage shows up in the crowd and accepts Hogan's challenge, saying he will put on his fighting clothes and beat him all the way to Mexico. After he exposes Hogan, he says it'll be him versus Sting at SuperBrawl VIII. Hogan tells Savage not to put the cart before the horse and to come down to the ring so he can set him straight.
