We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Lash LeRoux vs. Juventud Guerrera ends after Sid Vicious gets in the ring and decimates both men. Sid then announces that, in case nobody knows what is happening, that his name will be heard the loudest. In the year 2000, he will accumulate more wins than anyone in the history of professional wrestling, and that the name "Goldberg" will be obsolete. He says he does not enjoy beating people up like this, but it is what he has to do. He then says the fans can chant for Hulk Hogan all night long, but Hogan has something that belongs to him: the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says Hogan is not the World champ until he goes through him, and he will continue to beat people down like he did Lash LeRoux and Juventud Guerrera all night until he gives it to him.
"Lord" Steven Regal vs. Scotty Riggs ends when Sid Vicious stays true to his word and destroys both men. He tells Hogan that the rest of the locker room does not have to go through this, and to give him the World title or else this will happen all night long. He then tells Goldberg that is one more win towards making Goldberg's own name obsolete.
Before the next match, Mike Enos gets in Ernest "The Cat" Miller's face. The Cat then makes a prediction that he will beat Enos in less than four minutes, or else he will leave town and never come back.
Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Mike Enos in three minutes and thirty-nine seconds when Sonny Onoo gets on the apron, distracting Enos. Enos lifts Onoo over his head, but The Cat kicks Enos in the back of his head, giving him the win after Enos drops Onoo.
We see a short video package from Berlyn, who has not been seen in months.
Sid Vicious is seen beating up Silver King and La Parka in a commissary storage room. He says that maybe now, Hogan will lsiten, as he does not want to see this happen to everyone in WCW. He tells Hogan to give him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and this will all be over.
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Lenny Lane ends with Sid Vicious destroying booth men in the match as well as Lodi, who ends up being part of a double choke slam with Lenny Lane. Sting runs in before Sid can hit Rey with a second power bomb, and both Sid and Sting brawl until Hulk Hogan runs into the ring. Sid leaves the ring, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews both Hogan and Sting. Sid tells Hogan knows he does not want any of him, and tells him to tell his fans that he will give him the World title. Hogan tells Sid that he looks pretty happy that he got away from Sting, but not as much as he got away from him. When he puts the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line, he wants Sid at 100%, because he came to train, say his prayers and kick Sid's ass. Sid says there is a miscommunication and that Hogan should think about it, but Hogan says Sting has his back and that Sting is the reason he put Kevin Nash out of the business and the reason he will beat Sid Vicious, and when he does that, he will give Sting a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship next week. Hogan thanks Sting, because he will prove himself when he beats Sid, and says it looks like Sting accepted his challenge. Sting says it is "a big, fat, definite yes." Hogan tells Sting that they are friends right now, but next week, he is coming to train, say his prayers and kick Sting's ass.
Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) beat Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock). During the match, Public Enemy puts Shaggy 2 Dope through a table. As Johnny Grunge continues to splash Violent J - who is told by referee Johnny Boone that he is not the legal man - Violent J uses Boone as a human shield, knocking Boone out. Vampiro goes up top and hits Grunge with a spinning heel kick off the top rope, then places Violent J on top of Johnny Grunge to get the win, even though Violent J is still not the legal man.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray). Booker T says it was a long two years, but he and Stevie Ray are back again. There is no love lost for The Triad (Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon, Bam Bam Bigelow), but he thanks Diamond Dallas Page for making Harlem Heat the eight-time WCW World Tag Team Champions. Stevie Ray says he had a relationship with "four fruit booties who couldn't get the job done." Be that as it may, he and Booker T are family. Booker T says they will defend the tag team titles each and efery week, and next week, they will "turn this mother out" in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It is announced that Berlyn will be making his debut on Nitro in two weeks. (Despite being identified as Alex Wright when he appeared the last time he was on Nitro, he is hyped up as a brand new athlete.)
The nWo (Horace Hogan, Vincent, Scott Norton, Brian Adams) show up. Horace says he heard Stevie Ray's comments about them being "four fruit booties that couldn't get the job done." He doesn't care if Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) are tag team champs or not, and says that they could not beat any member of the nWo, even in singles competition. Horace tells Vincent that there is nothing worse than a brother gone bad, and hands the microphone to Scott Norton, knowing he has something to say about it. Norton gives Stevie Ray some advice: if he thinks he can come and go from the nWo, he is mistaken, and if Stevie Ray comes crawling back, he might give him his spot back. He then reconsiders, saying Stevie Ray is on the nWo's most wanted list. Brian Adams - now clean shaven - takes the mic and says that Norton came up with a heck of an idea. He says he and Vincent will take on Harlem Heat tonight, and Norton tries to get Adams' attention. When Adams pushes him away, Vincent, Horace and Norton attack Brian Adams and rip off his nWo shirt. Horace then says that Adams is now "former nWo" before he, Vincent and Norton leave him laying. Referees check on Brian Adams afterward.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kidman. Kidman says that he, Rey Mysterio Jr., Konnan and Eddie Guerrero are creating their own circle of friends among each other that hang out both on-camera and off and have mutual respect for each other having all faced other in the ring in the past. Kidman goes on to say "We're just a bunch of filthy animals, y'know?", which ends up becomingthe basis for their group name, The Filthy Animals. Okerlund asks Kidman if he has seen the Nitro Girls pay-per-view, but Kidman says the real question is how many times he has seen it. He says the Nitro Girls are all good looking, but he says Kimberly is drop-dead gorgeous and his personal favorite. Despite saying that this is being said with no disrespect to Diamond Dallas Page, an irritated and angry DDP shows up. Kidman says he has nothing but respect for him and his wife, and says Kimberly is a beautiful woman. DDP says Kidman cannot even spell "respect," and midway through spelling the word out for him, he slaps Kidman in the face before plowing him into the mat before asking for areferee, saying Kidman "thinks he's got the shot, but not on my dime." Referee Billy Silverman shows up, and the bell is called for an impromptu match.
Kidman beats Diamond Dallas Page in an impromptu match after reversing a delayed Diamond Cutter into a roll-up. After the match, DDP attacks Kidman from behind, then hits referee Billy Silverman with a Diamond Cutter. Kidman jumps on top of DDP, but he also eats a Diamond Cutter before he slams him in the corner, puts him in the tree of woe position. He then removes Billy Silverman's belt and rips off Kidman's tanktop before whipping Kidman in the ribs with it. Kimberly shows up and tries to get DDP to calm down, telling him Kidman is his friend. She gets DDP to calm down and escorts him to the back.
Before the next match, Disco Inferno says he is a superstar, a sex symbol, a bonafied booty-shaking badass and an icon. He says Kidman's clique has been calling him all week getting him to join, but he says that for future reference, "Don't call me, I'll call you." He then says there are a lot of guys in the back who want to be the next superstar in WCW, and says they might as well stay on the bench as he is the present and future superstar of WCW, and he is willing to prove it. "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit shows up and says Disco is right, but tells Disco that he won't be climbing up his ladder, as he lays down for no one. He says Disco's problem is that he stepped in the way of The Revolution (Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Shane Douglas), and tells him to get in the ring and see what that experience is all about. Disco tells Benoit there is a fine line between courage and stupidity, and he has crossed it. He plans to give Benoit "a good old-fashioned New York tushy kickin'."
"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Disco Inferno.
Goldberg quickly beats Barry Windham after Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr.'s attempts to lay a hand on him fail.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The nWo (Scott Norton, Vincent and Horace Hogan) after Brian Adams shows up and gets vengeance against the nWo for kicking him out of the group, taking on all three men at the same time. All the while referee Nick Patrick lets this happen, more or less making Brian Adams the unofficial third man on Harlem Heat's team in the match.
Rick Steiner says he does one thing that he does well. He says he is the D.F.G. and he rules the dog point. If anyone wants some, they can come get some. If anyone doesn't like him, they can bite him.
Rick Steiner retains the WCW World Television Championship against Brian Knobbs after Rick Steiner whips Brian Knobbs into Jimmy Hart, who is holding Rick Steiner's dog collar in his hand. Knobbs runs face first into the collar, and Rick Steiner hits the top rope Steiner Bulldog to retain.
Perry Saturn beats Bam Bigelow. During the match, Bam Bam Bigelow shoves Perry Saturn off the top rope and into referee Johnny Boone. Kanyon runs in and gets involved, then goes up top only to be pushed off by Shane Douglas, pushing Perry Saturn on top of Bigelow as Bigelow readies Greetings From Asbury Park to give Saturn the win. Kanyon and Bigelow continue to attack Saturn after the match, but "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko show up and run Kanyon and Bigelow out of the ring.
Hulk Hogan retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Sid Vicious by disqualification after Rick Steiner hits Hogan after Hogan hits the leg drop. Sting runs in and fights Rick Steiner, then Hulk gets the better of Sid Vicious to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for December 28, 1998
The show begins with Eric Bischoff, Buff Bagwell, Scott Steiner and Curt Hennig partying in the limousine after Starrcade. Buff Bagwell makes fun of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's heart attack before making fun of Flair himself.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the first hour. It is announced that Howard Krimski of Atlanta, Georgia is this year's final Nitro Party contest grand prize winner. We see some footage of his Nitro Party.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller tells everyone that they should be glad to see him in the ring, as he is the greatest. After making fun of how the crowd looks, he says he can beat anybody. He then says he will whup somebody tonight. All of a sudden, Chris Jericho and Ralphus show up with a third man, Shima Nobunaga, whom they consider a worthy opponent. Jericho names the guy "Shima-rama-lama-ding-dong," and says they will have his back until they end as they are true friends and mentions that he has been trained by Ultimo Dragon. This man does not look as enthusiastic as Jericho is, and The Cat nearly annihilates him.

Norman Smiley beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. with the Norman Conquest after Pepe is introduced into the match more than once. During the match, Norman Smiley's dance from the last several weeks is officially christened "The Big Wiggle" by "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko.
We see footage of Raven's homecoming. Raven, Raven's mom and Kanyon head home, and Kanyon has to keep Raven away from the alcohol. Also, the TV doesn't work.
Booker T beats Fit Finley.
"Mean Gene" Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with some luggage. After last night's loss, he immediately headed for Baltimore, Maryland, the site of tonight's Nitro, after "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson told him that it was over and his wife told him to go home. He asks Eric Bischoff to hear him out for the very last time, and says his life is just starting as he tells Bischoff he has always traveled in custom-made suits and ties, for he has lived the life of a king because the people have allowed him to. After pulling out some things from his gear before pulling off his clothes and tearing a few $100 bills in half, he then takes off his shoes, tosses them into the crowd, pulls his pants off and hits an elbow drop in the middle of the ring with little more than boxer shorts and socks on. He tells Bischoff that he will leave the wrestling world forever, and sign his house, cars and whatever money he has over to him, giving him the satisfaction of saying he raped The Nature Boy if he has the guts to walk the aisle one more time. There is one stipulation: if he beats Bischoff, he gets to run WCW for 90 days, and the first thing he will do is taking Bischoff's head out of Hollywood Hogan's ass. He says Bischoff has Ted Turner blindfolded, calls him a scammer and a schemer, and tells Bischoff he has the brain of a pissant. He tells Bischoff that tradition is what it is all about, then pulls out a pair of handcuffs from his gear and cuffs him to the top rope. He then hangs on the rope, then tells Bischoff that if he turns the camera off, he will be naked when he comes back.
"Mean Gene" Okerlund and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair are still in the ring. It does not take long after the return from the commercial break for Eric Bischoff to show up. Bischoff gets in the ring and laughs at Flair, and Flair dares him to get close and kick sat him. Bischoff says that being up Flair's "punk kid," kissing his wife and ruining his career, but nothing is better than literally taking all of his money and everything he owns. He says it will all be his, and Flair dares him to take everything as he continues to punch and kick at him. Bischoff tells Flair he will die of a heart attack if he does not settle down, but Flair tells him that if he dies of a heart attack, it will be on Bischoff's girlfriend, as his wife told him that Bischoff is a "Cushman scooter" after "riding [him] for 20 years." Bischoff tells Flair that if he wants him and to run the company, he's got it, and says he'll be more than happy to kick his rear end again. Flair says that if he loses his career or dies tonight, it will be with him have a piece of Bischoff in his hand.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Tom Atchkinson, member of WCW security and sergeant of a SWAT team. He is holding the cattle prod used by Scott Hall at Starrcade. We learn that this weapon was invented to hurt cattle and get them into a truck, and that law enforcement used it to to hurt criminals for a time. It was designed to cause a motor dysfunction, interrupting electrodes in the mind and disabling muscles. Continuous use can lead to a shutdown of the entire nervous system, and it can be concluded that this cost Goldberg the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says he feels like he's been to Hell and back after last night, and not only is The Giant the biggest, he is the strongest. He says he felt like a Raggedy Andy doll, but that it is how much you want it, and when The Giant made a mistake, he went straight for the Diamond Cutter. He then says he is here to brag about last night's win, and he says that there are two dark clouds hanging overhead; the first being "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff over ownership of WCW and the other being Scott Hall zapping Goldberg with the cattle prod over the World title. He says that it would be smart money to bet on Kevin Nash to do the right thing, but if he is betting anything tonight, it is for Ric Flair to beat Bischoff, whom he says is toast tonight. He tells Flair he would love to work for him, and tells Bischoff he will find a whole other way to feel the bang.
Backstage, Konnan is talking to Disco Inferno. Kevin Nash whacks Disco Inferno with a rolled-up piece of paper as he shows up with Lex Luger, and chews Disco out for nearly costing him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, even though Disco says he "took a grenade for him." Nash says he will take care of a few things in the ring shortly, and tells Disco that if he wants to be in nWo Wolfpac that badly, he can get him a match, and if he wins it, he is in. Disco agrees to the match, but Nash refuses to tell him who his opponent is, telling him "Don't worry about it."
Eddie Guerrero and Juventud Guerrera beat Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman after Eddie sends Rey Mysterio Jr. into Kidman, sending him off the top rope.
Kevin Nash, Konnan and Lex Luger show up. Nash says there are people who are happy over his victory last night, but he wishes he could share the same sentiment. He says that when he got into the business nine years ago, he did it for three reasons: money, power and respect. He then says that last night was not about money, and that being the World champ definitely brings some power, and he plans to right some of the wrongs from Starrcade. He has gone to the WCW Executive Committee and made a match for Disco Inferno, who wants to be part of nWo Wolpfac, vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, whom he says can't stay away from both him and Goldberg. If Disco wins, he is in the Wolfpac; if not, he wants Disco to stay away from them. He also mentions Scott Hall, whom he has more love than anybody else in the world, and knows that Hall believes he did him a favor. Nash then implies Hall will have to answer to him. Nash then talks about respect, saying that he has nothing but respect for Goldberg, and demands that next Monday, he and Nash have a rematch for the World title. Nash then says he made some mistakes last night and will not make them again, and says he can kick Goldberg's ass and will give it his best shot. He then says it is ironic that the World title still has Goldberg's name on it, and if Goldberg wins it, it is his; otherwise, the nameplate will change to Nash.
Bam Bam Bigelow beats Disco Inferno, ending Disco's chances of entering nWo Wolfpac.

Curt Hennig helps Eric Bischoff train backstage.
We hear from Dr. Charles Brock, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's cardiologist, live from Charlotte, North Carolina. It is revealed that when Ric Flair was taken to the hospital, he had an abnormally low blood pressure, and a pulse that would be rapid and violent only to become weak and irregular. It is also revealed that Flair that did not suffer a myocardial infarction; however, it is revealed that he had been poisoned by digitalis. Flair's stomach was pumped, and Flair was prescribed chloroform. The source of the toxin is still under investigation.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eric Bischoff, who is backstage with Curt Hennig. Bischoff calls "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's doctor is a quack, and says he will not utter another word until he has his attorney. He then tells Okerlund that he did nothing wrong when asked about Flair being poisoned.
Before the next match, Scott Steiner takes the microphone away from Konnan, and Buff Bagwell says that Baltimore, Maryland sucks. As Buff continues to speak, Konnan hits Scott Steiner and Buff's nWo referee with a facebuster. Referee Scott Dickinson replaces the nWo referee, who is carried out of the arena by arena and WCW security. Scott and Buff try to attack Dickinson, but Konnan stops them by attacking Buff.
Scott Steiner beats Konnan with the Steiner Recliner to become the WCW World Television Championship despite Lex Luger's best attempts to keep Buff Bagwell from interfering.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
It is announced that The Best of Nitro, a 3-hour special, will air tomorrow night on TNT at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central.
Before the next match, Scott Hall says he has heard what Kevin Nash had to say, and says Nash was right about three things being important, saying that those three things are money, money and money. He tells Nash he handed him the World title, and yet he didn't invite him to the victory party. If Nash says he is not the guy he used to know, then Nash is not the guy he used to know, either.
Scott Hall beats Bryan Adams after Adams celebrates prematurely on the second rope.
Before the next match, Eric Bischoff tries to escape the arena through his limousine, but he is carried to the ring by Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko.
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Eric Bischoff with the Figure Four Leg Lock to gain control of World Championship Wrestling for 90 days. Durng the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko fight off Horace Hogan and Vincent. Buff Bagwell, Curt Hennig, Scott Steiner, Scott Norton and The Giant also get involved, and The Giant hits Flair with a headbutt. As he is about to hit Flair with a choke slam, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Diamond Dallas Page, the returning "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with a woman at his side) also show up, and Savage pretends to be back on nWo Hollywood to hit The Giant with a low blow from behind before leaving, allowing Flair to put Bischoff in the Figure Four Leg Lock for the win. Konnan and Booker T show up at the end, and everyone at ringside celebrates. Flair hits Bischoff with an elbow drop, and Tony Schiavone, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko also show up to celebrate in the ring.

He says he felt like a Raggedy Andy doll, but that it is how much you want it, and when The Giant made a mistake, he went straight for the Diamond Cutter. He then says he is here to brag about last night's win, and he says that there are two dark clouds hanging overhead; the first being "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff over ownership of WCW and the other being Scott Hall zapping Goldberg with the cattle prod over the World title. He says that it would be smart money to bet on Kevin Nash to do the right thing, but if he is betting anything tonight, it is for Ric Flair to beat Bischoff, whom he says is toast tonight. He tells Flair he would love to work for him, and tells Bischoff he will find a whole other way to feel the bang.
Backstage, Konnan is talking to Disco Inferno. Kevin Nash whacks Disco Inferno with a rolled-up piece of paper as he shows up with Lex Luger, and chews Disco out for nearly costing him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, even though Disco says he "took a grenade for him." Nash says he will take care of a few things in the ring shortly, and tells Disco that if he wants to be in nWo Wolfpac that badly, he can get him a match, and if he wins it, he is in. Disco agrees to the match, but Nash refuses to tell him who his opponent is, telling him "Don't worry about it."
Eddie Guerrero and Juventud Guerrera beat Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman after Eddie sends Rey Mysterio Jr. into Kidman, sending him off the top rope.
Kevin Nash, Konnan and Lex Luger show up. Nash says there are people who are happy over his victory last night, but he wishes he could share the same sentiment. He says that when he got into the business nine years ago, he did it for three reasons: money, power and respect. He then says that last night was not about money, and that being the World champ definitely brings some power, and he plans to right some of the wrongs from Starrcade. He has gone to the WCW Executive Committee and made a match for Disco Inferno, who wants to be part of nWo Wolpfac, vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, whom he says can't stay away from both him and Goldberg. If Disco wins, he is in the Wolfpac; if not, he wants Disco to stay away from them. He also mentions Scott Hall, whom he has more love than anybody else in the world, and knows that Hall believes he did him a favor. Nash then implies Hall will have to answer to him. Nash then talks about respect, saying that he has nothing but respect for Goldberg, and demands that next Monday, he and Nash have a rematch for the World title. Nash then says he made some mistakes last night and will not make them again, and says he can kick Goldberg's ass and will give it his best shot. He then says it is ironic that the World title still has Goldberg's name on it, and if Goldberg wins it, it is his; otherwise, the nameplate will change to Nash.
Bam Bam Bigelow beats Disco Inferno, ending Disco's chances of entering nWo Wolfpac.

We hear from Dr. Charles Brock, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's cardiologist, live from Charlotte, North Carolina. It is revealed that when Ric Flair was taken to the hospital, he had an abnormally low blood pressure, and a pulse that would be rapid and violent only to become weak and irregular. It is also revealed that Flair that did not suffer a myocardial infarction; however, it is revealed that he had been poisoned by digitalis. Flair's stomach was pumped, and Flair was prescribed chloroform. The source of the toxin is still under investigation.

Before the next match, Scott Steiner takes the microphone away from Konnan, and Buff Bagwell says that Baltimore, Maryland sucks. As Buff continues to speak, Konnan hits Scott Steiner and Buff's nWo referee with a facebuster. Referee Scott Dickinson replaces the nWo referee, who is carried out of the arena by arena and WCW security. Scott and Buff try to attack Dickinson, but Konnan stops them by attacking Buff.
Scott Steiner beats Konnan with the Steiner Recliner to become the WCW World Television Championship despite Lex Luger's best attempts to keep Buff Bagwell from interfering.

It is announced that The Best of Nitro, a 3-hour special, will air tomorrow night on TNT at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central.
Before the next match, Scott Hall says he has heard what Kevin Nash had to say, and says Nash was right about three things being important, saying that those three things are money, money and money. He tells Nash he handed him the World title, and yet he didn't invite him to the victory party. If Nash says he is not the guy he used to know, then Nash is not the guy he used to know, either.

Before the next match, Eric Bischoff tries to escape the arena through his limousine, but he is carried to the ring by Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko.
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Eric Bischoff with the Figure Four Leg Lock to gain control of World Championship Wrestling for 90 days. Durng the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko fight off Horace Hogan and Vincent. Buff Bagwell, Curt Hennig, Scott Steiner, Scott Norton and The Giant also get involved, and The Giant hits Flair with a headbutt. As he is about to hit Flair with a choke slam, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Diamond Dallas Page, the returning "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with a woman at his side) also show up, and Savage pretends to be back on nWo Hollywood to hit The Giant with a low blow from behind before leaving, allowing Flair to put Bischoff in the Figure Four Leg Lock for the win. Konnan and Booker T show up at the end, and everyone at ringside celebrates. Flair hits Bischoff with an elbow drop, and Tony Schiavone, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko also show up to celebrate in the ring.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 30, 1998
The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls. It is announced that Hollywood Hogan has told the world on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday that he is retiring from professional wrestling to run for President of the United States. It is also announced that Mike Tenay is out today due to being under the weather (revealed in the third hour to be a case of laryngitis) and will hopefully be back next week.
nWo Hollywood walk out of a pair of white limousines on their way to the arena. They eventually make their way to the ring. Eric Bischoff declares Scott Steiner to be "the heir apparent" to nWo Hollywood. Scott tells everyone in the building to put their heads down in a moment of silence for the greatest champion that ever lived: Hollywood Hogan. If the people do not think that Hogan is not watching the show right now, they are highly mistaken. Scott Steiner says he has flown in from Los Angeles, and that Hogan has made him the new leader of the black-and-white nWo. He says that Hogan was the originator of the "24-inch pythons" and the largest arms in the world, and both was and is the biggest name in professional wrestling today. He says it is no question why he is the new leader, as he now has the largest arms (and the biggest peak) in the world in addition to the greatest body in professional sports. Behind him is a band of thieves who do not care about anyone or anything, and they will all be rapid dogs who take care of business the same way that the nWo has always done it. After talking with Hogan this morning, nWo Hollywood's first order of business is take care of someone who left the nWo not too long ago: Scott Hall. Scott Steiner tells Scott Hall he is their first order of business, and tonight, they will make him pay and make him wish he was never in the nWo. He also tells Hall he has Horace Hogan as his partner, and tells Hall to find a partner, because tonight, the black-and-white is going to bury him.
Konnan beats Chris Jericho to become the WCW World Television Champion! During the match, Jericho swings the title belt at Konnan's head when he finds out he has not won the match, and Konnan ducks the swing before hitting Jericho with a facebuster into the front plate of the belt. Konnan's music video is replayed as Lex Luger and Kevin Nash celebrate with Konnan.

He says there are a lot of wrestlers, some dead, some alive. He is disappointed with Barry Windham, and says Bischoff is a gutless, classless asshole. If Bischoff wants to fire him, he can fire him, but he wants it to be known that he called him out tonight and that everyone will look at him and say "that old man of diminished skills called you out." He says they will have it out once and for all, and tells Bischoff to "come jump on this old man."
Scott Hall shows up in blue jeans and an Outsiders T-shirt. He has heard what Scott Steiner and nWo Hollywood had to say about beating him up tonight, and tells nWo Hollywood that in case they haven't noticed, getting beat up is what he does. The only problem is that he doesn't have any friends, and he might as well fight them off one-by-one as he is doing everything by himself these days. If Scott Steiner and Horace Hogan are excited about carrying on "that family name" and want to take him on, they've got it. Suddenly, Kevin Nash shows up. He admits he and Hall have not seen eye-to-eye as of late, but if Hall needs a tag team partner, he'll be his huckleberry. Nash is confirmed to be Hall's tag team partner for later tonight.
Before the next match, Raven speaks into a microphone and talks about his mother again, but Kanyon takes the mike and says it's been the same song and dance for two years. He says Raven is being a manchild and tells Raven to get over his lousy childhood. Scott Armstrong and Steve Armstrong then get the first shot on Kanyon before Kanyon can say anything else. Raven continues to sit in the corner, then gets up when Kanyon confronts him again, then walks off, leaving Kanyon to wrestle the match alone.
Scott Armstrong and Steve Armstrong beat Kanyon and Raven after Scott Armstrong gets a schoolboy pin on a distracted Kanyon, who looks to the back entrance for Raven after hitting Steve with the Flatliner.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Hart says he's been hurt really bad, and that Diamond Dallas Page stooped so low that he has enticed other men to injure him, as Dean Malenko injured his groin. He says he wants to go at it, but the doctors tell him he cannot fight DDP tonight. DDP shows up through the crowd, and accuses Bret of ducking him. Bret says the doctors are not allowing him to wrestle tonight, but DDP thinks he is lying and says he will feel the bang. Hart says he doesn't have his ring gear, but then tells DDP that if he wants to put the title up against him, he'll face him under the condition that it is a no-disqualification match, and he will feel the pain from him. DDP accepts the stipulation.
Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Eddie Guerrero. During the match, Kidman accidentally knocks referee Charles Robinson out of the ring as he moves Eddie Guerrero to the top turnbuckle. Juventud Guerrera tries to interfere, but Kidman stops him, and Rey Mysterio Jr. hits Eddie Kidman with a springboard drop kick to the back, allowing Kidman to hit the Shooting Star Press. After the match, the Latino World Order shows up, and chase both Rey and Kidman to the back.
Bam Bam Bigelow is seen sitting in the crowd with two security guards standing right behind him.

Bischoff talks about how he went to Cody, Wyoming to clear his head for the holidays, and how a good friend of his told him "Eric, what we need now is another hero." He says his friend is right, with crime rates escalating around the United States, taxes out of control and people not being able to put food on the table. Bischoff says he will give the people that hero tonight, and that it is time to bring him out right now: Dean Malenko. Malenko shows up with the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael). Anderson tells Malenko to smack Bischoff in the mouth when he gets the chance, then Malenko approaches and enters the ring. Bischoff says he is impressed and that Malenko has his respect, and that he will also have his opportunity for all the people who cheered for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tonight. He also plans to give Flair what he wants, and that Malenko will give Flair his opportunity. Bischoff puts Malenko in a match against Barry Windham, and if Malenko can beat him, he will give Flair the opportunity to wrestle Bischoff if Flair wants it. Malenko says a Horseman never backs down from a challenge, and tonight is no different. He then adds a clause to this agreement: a special guest referee in the form of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who has not been seen in some time and is still a member of nWo Hollywood. Dusty says justice will be swift and the call right down the middle, as he has always stood for right and wrong and will not let any shenanigans get in the way.

Wrath beats Bobby Blaze in a matter of seconds.
Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller says he came out to beat somebody up and threatens to fight someone in the crowd. He says that if there is anyone who wants a piece of him to come to the ring. When nobody shows up and The Cat calls everyone a bunch of chumps, Saturn shows up. Ernest Miller makes fun of the fact that he was pinned by Sonny Onoo, and decides to leave the ring and not tear him apart because he is "weak." Saturn calls him out on that, and calls that an excuse, telling him to say he is scared if he is scared. Miller gets back in the ring, calls his bluff, and tells him that if he beats Sonny Onoo, he will give him a match. Onoo is reluctant, but The Cat talks him into it. It does not take long for Saturn to lay out Sonny Onoo, but Miller yanks the referee out of the ring. Suddenly, Glacier hits Saturn with a Cryonic Kick and leaves. Onoo goes for the pin, but Saturn kicks out. Miller tosses a chain to Onoo, but when Onoo tries to punch him, he falls victim to a Death Valley Driver. Saturn beats Sonny Onoo, but the referee sees the chain in Saturn's tights - placed there by Onoo during the Death Valley Driver - and reverses the decision. Onoo beats Saturn by disqualification, and Saturn chases the referee out of the ring.
Another white limousine is seen pulling up to the arena.
Goldberg is seen coming out of the white limousine after the commercial break. He then makes his way to the ring with a police escort. A table and a few chairs are in the ring, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring alongside Terry Taylor, a representative of the WCW Executive Committee, for a contract signing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between challenger Kevin Nash and champion Goldberg. Bam Bam Bigelow is seen in the crowd, saying that should be him signing the contract and not Kevin Nash, who shows up moments later with Konnan and Lex Luger. Kevin Nash and Goldberg sign the contract, which states that Goldberg will not defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship between now and Starrcade to ensure that Goldberg is World champ at the time of the match and that the World Heavyweight title will be defended on that night. Bam Bam Bigelow jumps the guardrail and tries to get in the ring, but local law enforcement and security quickly get in place to stop him from getting in the ring. He is carried back to the backstage area and ejected from the arena yet again.

Bam Bam Bigelow is still outside of the arena leading a "Goldberg" chant on the grassy knoll near the arena, wanting a piece of Goldberg outside of the building.

It is also announced that referee Mark Curtis is currently battling cancer, which explains why he has not been refereeing matches for some time, and that he will hopefully get well and come back to WCW soon. During the match, Luger knocks Brian Adams into referee Mickey Jay with a forearm shot. Vincent tries to get involved, but his attacks have no effect. Adams grabs a steel chair and smashes it into Luger's back before he and Vincent hit Luger with a double-team spike piledriver on the steel chair. Adams revives the ref, but Luger is able to kick out. Vincent tries to hit Lex Luger with a steel chair after an Irish Whip, but Luger reverses it and Vincent almost blasts Adams with a steel chair shot to the head. Luger then pushes Adams forward, knocking him into Vincent and the steel chair, before locking in the Torture Rack for the win.

Dean Malenko beats Barry Windham by disqualification. After being impartial to Barry Windham, special guest referee Dusty Rhodes disqualifies Windham when he refuses to take Malenko out of the corner, betraying Barry Windham and Eric Bischoff in the process. Bischoff rushes out and demands to know what Dusty Rhodes is doing, but Dusty turns his back on him when he tells him to get in the ring. Bischoff then fires Dusty Rhodes, and as Barry Windham goes after Dusty, he runs into the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael), who give him quite a beating. Flair goes after Bischoff, but nWo Hollywood quickly get him to the back. Flair demands his match with Eric Bischoff - which he calls "the greatest Christmas present The Nature Boy or The Horsemen have ever had" - right now.
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) beat Scott Steiner and Horace Hogan. During the match, it is announced via the WCW legal counsel that WCW is forcing Eric Bischoff to wrestle "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at Starrcade. During the match, Scott Hall hits Horace Hogan with the Outsider's Edge, but Scott Steiner's personal referee refuses to make the three-count and Kevin Nash hits him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. Referee Billy Silverman rushes in to make the three-count afterwards. Scott Hall is the only one in the ring to have his hand raised, as Kevin Nash has already left and headed to the back at that point.

Miller gets back in the ring, calls his bluff, and tells him that if he beats Sonny Onoo, he will give him a match. Onoo is reluctant, but The Cat talks him into it. It does not take long for Saturn to lay out Sonny Onoo, but Miller yanks the referee out of the ring. Suddenly, Glacier hits Saturn with a Cryonic Kick and leaves. Onoo goes for the pin, but Saturn kicks out. Miller tosses a chain to Onoo, but when Onoo tries to punch him, he falls victim to a Death Valley Driver. Saturn beats Sonny Onoo, but the referee sees the chain in Saturn's tights - placed there by Onoo during the Death Valley Driver - and reverses the decision. Onoo beats Saturn by disqualification, and Saturn chases the referee out of the ring.
Another white limousine is seen pulling up to the arena.
Goldberg is seen coming out of the white limousine after the commercial break. He then makes his way to the ring with a police escort. A table and a few chairs are in the ring, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring alongside Terry Taylor, a representative of the WCW Executive Committee, for a contract signing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between challenger Kevin Nash and champion Goldberg. Bam Bam Bigelow is seen in the crowd, saying that should be him signing the contract and not Kevin Nash, who shows up moments later with Konnan and Lex Luger. Kevin Nash and Goldberg sign the contract, which states that Goldberg will not defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship between now and Starrcade to ensure that Goldberg is World champ at the time of the match and that the World Heavyweight title will be defended on that night. Bam Bam Bigelow jumps the guardrail and tries to get in the ring, but local law enforcement and security quickly get in place to stop him from getting in the ring. He is carried back to the backstage area and ejected from the arena yet again.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.
Booker T beats Mike Enos.
Bam Bam Bigelow is still outside of the arena leading a "Goldberg" chant on the grassy knoll near the arena, wanting a piece of Goldberg outside of the building.
Lex Luger beats Brian Adams with the Torture Rack. Before the match, it is announced that Mike Tenay is down with a case of laryngitis, which explains why he is not at the commentary table this week. It is also announced that referee Mark Curtis is currently battling cancer, which explains why he has not been refereeing matches for some time, and that he will hopefully get well and come back to WCW soon. During the match, Luger knocks Brian Adams into referee Mickey Jay with a forearm shot. Vincent tries to get involved, but his attacks have no effect. Adams grabs a steel chair and smashes it into Luger's back before he and Vincent hit Luger with a double-team spike piledriver on the steel chair. Adams revives the ref, but Luger is able to kick out. Vincent tries to hit Lex Luger with a steel chair after an Irish Whip, but Luger reverses it and Vincent almost blasts Adams with a steel chair shot to the head. Luger then pushes Adams forward, knocking him into Vincent and the steel chair, before locking in the Torture Rack for the win.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Dean Malenko beats Barry Windham by disqualification. After being impartial to Barry Windham, special guest referee Dusty Rhodes disqualifies Windham when he refuses to take Malenko out of the corner, betraying Barry Windham and Eric Bischoff in the process. Bischoff rushes out and demands to know what Dusty Rhodes is doing, but Dusty turns his back on him when he tells him to get in the ring. Bischoff then fires Dusty Rhodes, and as Barry Windham goes after Dusty, he runs into the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael), who give him quite a beating. Flair goes after Bischoff, but nWo Hollywood quickly get him to the back. Flair demands his match with Eric Bischoff - which he calls "the greatest Christmas present The Nature Boy or The Horsemen have ever had" - right now.
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) beat Scott Steiner and Horace Hogan. During the match, it is announced via the WCW legal counsel that WCW is forcing Eric Bischoff to wrestle "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at Starrcade. During the match, Scott Hall hits Horace Hogan with the Outsider's Edge, but Scott Steiner's personal referee refuses to make the three-count and Kevin Nash hits him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. Referee Billy Silverman rushes in to make the three-count afterwards. Scott Hall is the only one in the ring to have his hand raised, as Kevin Nash has already left and headed to the back at that point.
Bam Bam Bigelow is still on the grass near the arena, demanding a piece of Goldberg.
Goldberg is seen running out of the arena and brawling with Bam Bam Bigelow outside. The brawl goes into the parking lot, and security and local law enforcement have to pull both men apart. Bigelow is led away by security, but Goldberg manages to get his hands on him again.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Diamond Dallas Page to become the WCW United States Champion in a no-disqualification match. Not long into the match, The Giant rushes in, stomps DDP and tosses him into the ring to choke slam him. Bret stands over DDP, then instead of going for the Sharpshooter, he gets him up so that The Giant can choke slam him again. Bret then puts DDP in the Sharpshooter, and DDP is knocked out by the time the hold is applied.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 11, 1998
RAW
WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up to start the show. He says that when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes through that locker room door, he will have to take part in tag team action tonight. He then takes the opportunity to introduce someone who has proven he is willing to make sacrifices to the extent that he has become #1 contender to the WWF Championship: Dude Love. Instead of the usual tie-dye, he is wearing a suit, carrying a copy of The Wall Street Journal, has a shaved beard and has artificial front teeth in his mouth. Dude says that last week, he was confused as to what his true identity was, but knows who he is now: a well-educated man, a speaker of four different languages, a reader of Greek tragedy, a student of American history, a lover of women, a leader of man, a surprisingly good dancer for a big man, the king of hardcore wrestling, and - as Austin will find out at Over The Edge - the world's toughest S.O.B. He is the future WWF Champion, and he is Dude Love. Dude Love and Vince shake hands, and Dude Love says that for quite some time, Dude Love had lost his smile and is happy to report that with the support of Vince McMahon and the WWF, he has found that smile and it certainly feels good. He says that this time, a handshake won't do it, and he and Vince both hug. Vince says he is proud of Dude Love, and has a surprise for him: the special guest timekeeper for his and Austin's match at Over The Edge will be none other than Gerald Brisco. Brisco shows up and shakes hands with both Dude Love and Vince, and Vince says he has another surprise: Pat Patterson is special guest ring announcer for the match will be Pat Patterson, who also shows up and shakes hands with everyone in the ring. Vince then gives us one more surprise: a special guest referee in the form of...someone who doesn't show up. Vince McMahon heads to the back to see what's going on, as does Gerald Briscoe. Pat Patterson then introduces the special guest referee, and after teasing it will be Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, he announces it will be Vince McMahon, who comes back in black slacks and a sleeveless referee's shirt. Vince then mocks Austin's ring entrance before all four men raise their arms in triumph.
Kevin Kelly is backstage as Sable shows up. Sable has no time to talk as enters in preparation of her public confrontation with "Marvelous" Marc Mero.
We see footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) on their way to the CNN Tower in Atlanta, Georgia, where they where they make their way to World Championship Wrestling. They have no way of getting in, however, after being stopped by security, but they still have their fans in the area.
Kevin Kelly opens a garage door backstage when it is banged on. Instead of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, it's Al Snow from Extreme Championship Wrestling, who has Head with him as well as tickets to the show. He admits that he is a little lost, and Kevin Kelly gives him directions to his seats. Kevin Kelly is bemused by the fact that Al Snow is talking to a mannequin head.
Vader, back in action from injury after three months. beats Barry Windham. During the match, it is announced that Vader will face Kane at Over The Edge, and the loser will be forced to unmask. After the match, The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) fail to take out Vader, and Vader leaves the ring as soon as it becomes apparent that it will be a 3-on-1 brawl. It is also announced that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will debut on MTV Celebrity Deathmatch this Thursday on MTV.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has arrived.
During the commercial break, Kevin Kelly interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin says Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF owner Vince McMahon don't qualify to be "The Three Stooges" and that they're so pathetic that they're "The Three Jackasses." He says that whatever Vince does, he won't take the WWF Championship from him. As for tonight, he's not a tag team wrestler, and upon being told that nothing about the match has been revealed, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin takes the microphone and heads further into the building.
Skull beats Road Warrior Hawk with a roll-up. Actually, 8-Ball does after he and Skull pull the old switcheroo on Hawk.
We see more footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) at the CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
We see another vignette of Edge, in which he mostly walks around.
We see footage from earlier today of Bradshaw teaching Taka Michinoku how to drive in America while the two of them smoke cigars. When they make it back, they are suddenly jumped by Club Kamikaze, who is accompanied by an older man in a business suit.
Faarooq beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett after Kama Mustafa and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry attack Faarooq and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman." Jarrrett takes advantage of the situation by striking Blackman in the back with his own nunchaku before choking him with them.
Tony Siragusa of the Batlimore Ravens is seen in the crowd.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon may have stacked the deck against him at Over The Edge, but he doesn't care as it doesn't bother him one bit. He knows Vince can't stand him, and he feels the same way about Vince. He says that if Vince won't tell him anything about the tag team match he is part of tonight, then the least he can do is show up and give him some information if he is any kind of man. Vince shows up on the TitanTron with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, saying they're having a board meeting. As for Over The Edge, he says his title reign is going "over the edge." As for the tag team match, Patterson and Brisco say they know nothing, before imitating the "Speak No Evil, See No Evil, Hear No Evil" monkeys. Austin tells the threesome they can cover up their eyes, ears and mouths but they can't cover up their asses, and when it's all said and done, it where he'll stick the WWF Championship.
We see a splicing of Val Venis vignettes before the end of Raw.
WAR ZONE
Sable gets in the ring and calls out "Marvelous" Marc Mero. When Mero shows up, Sable says she never thought he'd take it this far, but if has to come to this, she'll give him her best. Mero tells Sable not to weasel out of this match as it's a little too late, then immediately attempts a TKO only to put her down and says he could have finished her off quickly, only to let her go because he's a gentleman. He gives Sable a chance to apologize for ruining his WWF career, but Sable kicks him in the groin before putting him in the Sable Bomb.
The Undertaker suddenly shows up, throws the chair that Jerry "The King" Lawler was sitting in, and punches Lawler in the face for his locker room remarks in his inadvertently-recorded conversation with Paul Bearer from last week. Lawler gets choke slammed, but Kane and Paul Bearer make their presence known before 'Taker can put Lawler in the Tombstone Piledriver. Bearer tells The Undertaker that either the truth hurts him badly instead or he doesn't believe him at all, but then reminds him that he told him Kane was alive and that he didn't believe it, either. Next week, he will prove once and for all that he is Kane's father. After Kane and Paul Bearer leave, The Undertaker stops Lawler from leaving and continues where he left off, hitting him with the Tombstone Piledriver.
Al Snow shows up, this time at ringside, and he and Head almost guest on commentary only to be escorted out by security and Pat Patterson. Snow insists he needs to see WWF owner Vince McMahon, then runs into the ring and into the crowd.
D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is still at the CNN Center. He says the Atlanta, Georgia version of "Operation DX" is complete, then we see a computer-generated rocket "hit" the CNN Center and create a computer-generated explosion.
D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. X-Pac says they have gotten back from Atlanta, Georgia where World Championship Wrestling nearly had them arrested, and tells Eric Bischoff that he doesn't know what he's smoking and that he never asked him for anything, much less an apology, except for him to be a man. As for kissing ass, he never kissed Vince McMahon's ass and he never kissed Bischoff's, and tells Bischoff to "suck on it." The New Age Outlaws (James, Gunn) introduce themselves, then Gunn tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that they're either with them or their ass better call somebody. Triple H then tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that DX loves them and that he has a surprise for their state bird. Before he can show that surprise, Owen Hart shows up and says he's heard enough before telling Triple H they have unfinished business. Triple H says if they have unfinished business, he's right here waiting, and Owen tells him he's coming down to the ring to kick his ass before bringing out the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry).
Jim Cornette guests on commentary for the next match.
Triple H vs. Owen Hart ends with a nasty confrontation between the rest of D-Generation X (Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) after Owen Hart bites Triple H's ear and Chyna crotches Owen Hart on the top rope.
It is announced that there will be a Six-Man Tag Match between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) at Over The Edge.
The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up as Dustin Runnels, carrying his Goldust outfit, wig and a steel can wit a gas can in it. He takes the suit and wig, places them in the can, pours gas on it, then lights a entire box of matches and throws it in the steel can, setting them ablaze. Runnels tells WWF owner Vince McMahon he has worked "too damn hard" for him for three years, and that the Rhodes name goes way back and has a lot of pride, history and dignity in it. He does not have that dignity because of Vince taking it away from him due to his imagination. He blames Vince for losing his father "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and causing him so much heartache his wife Terri and daughter Dakota over the Goldust persona. He says Vince punished him for not beating "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the WWE Championship by putting him in the ring with Kane, and says he will be punished no more. He then says that Goldust dies tonight, and tells him that he will never forget the name of Dustin.
We finally learn the identities of "Club Kamikaze:" Yamaguchi-san is the older gentleman in the business suit, while the three members are Dick Togo, Men's Taioh and Sho Funaki. (Men's Teioh is better known as Terry Boy from his appearance at ECW's Barely Legal pay-per-view.) Together, they are known as Kaientai. Yamaguchi-san calls the crowd "scumbag Americans," and introduces "the new generation with the new Japanese attitude." He then introduces Kaientai, and says we will never know where or when they will strike. Kaientai then attack Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio from behind.
Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Taioh, Sho Funaki) beat Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio by disqualification after Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw clear the ring out, causing Kaientai to flee through the crowd.
WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen talking to somebody backstage, and this person is implied to be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner
Al Snow tries unsuccessfully to enter the building again.
The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up. The Rock says the fire between himself and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin finally reignites, and tells Austin that unless his partner is Godzilla, he's ready to lay the smack down on the WWF Championship. Before the commercial break, WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco pride themselves on what they believe to be a job well done.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner is revealed to be WWF owner Vince McMahon.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vince McMahon vs. The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia) ends when Vince McMahon clotheslines Austin in response to being flipped off. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Dude Love all attack Austin, and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) get in the ring to brawl with The Nation of Domination (The Rock, Owen Hart, D'Lo, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 23, 1998
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up, and is interviewed in the ring by Kevin Kelly. He knows that Vince McMahon does not want him as WWF Champion, and tells Vince he cannot mold or break Steve Austin. He may look like the biggest piece of trash in Vince's eyes, but he does what he wants when he wants and nobody's stopped him. THe most important thing in his career right now is to get "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the ring and beat him for the championship. He has respect for Shawn and says it will be the toughest match of his life. He says that Vince and the WWF can throw as much horseshit as they can as he will walk through it and make it through the match. When he hears that "Iron" Mike Tyson and D-Generation X (Shawn, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) are coming out in full force, Austin takes it as an insult, then says that's fine with them as he has the night off and that he'll be in the back with a cooler full of "Steveweisers" and he wil drink every last one of them. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up, but it is not for a beer like Austin initially thinks. Slaughter informs Austin that he does not have the night off and that he will wrestle tonight as per WWF owner Vince McMahon, who cannot be here tonight. Austin will be facing "The Rock" Rocky Maivia tonight, and Austin says that if Vince is too much of a chicken to tell him himself, so be it. If Maivia shows up tonight, he'll either wrestle him for 30 minutes or snap his lights off in seconds. Slaughter then says that if Austin does not wrestle The Rock tonight, his match with Shawn at WrestleMania 14 will be a non-title match. Austin tells Slaughter he just told him that he was going to do what Vince wanted him to do, and takes this as an insult. Sgt. Slaughter eats a Stone Cold Stunner as a result.
Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie beat The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) by disqualification after The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attack Cactus Jack. During the match, The New Age Outlaws shows up in black suit and tie, with Road Dogg setting up a table with wine glasses, champagne, a vase with a rose in it, a tablecloth and blow-up dolls that look like Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie while Billy Gunn bringing in a dumpster, which briefly distracts Cactus Jack. After the match, a champagne bucket is used as a weapon, and the table is smashed into the skull of Chainsaw Charlie before Cactus Jack is sent head-first into a steel chair by both men with a spike piledriver.
"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats Steve Blackman, snapping Blackman's undefeated streak after Tennessee Lee grabs Blackman's foot and keeps holding it during the pinfall. Referee Jack Down tells the referee of the match what happened, which causes Jarrett to attack Done and the other referee before Blackman fights off Jarrett. Blackman then chases Tennessee Lee to the back.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) will hold a public workout this Thusday at noon at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, Massachusetts.
A white limousine is seen arriving to the venue. Out comes "Iron" Mike Tyson and D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna), who tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to "get over it."
We see The Undertaker talk to his parents in a graveyard. He says that he has done things in his life that he is not proud of and there are time where he has not lived up to their expectations. He hopes that they understand that he has come to his crossroads, and that the devil stands before him in the form of his brother Kane. He asks his mother to forgive him for the sin he is about to commit, a sin so heinous but in the end must be done, for in the end, he only hopes that together, as one, they can rest in peace, a family once again. If that is not the case, he alone is willing to serve his penance and burn in his own damnation. He is willing to look his destiny in the eye and go where the reaper leads him. He asks his parents once again to understand as Kane has given him no other choice, and he has to fight. He tells them to just know that he loves them.
Paul Bearer and Kane show up. Bearer is tired of hearing The Undertaker speak about his parents and what he had to tell them, and that his brother Kane has the same powers that he does. He then allows Kane to provide a demonstration, and Kane causes a lightning bolt to ignite the lighting truss above the stage. Bearer then decides to have Kane display more of his powers, this time on the announcers, and one of the monitors is fried by a lightning bolt. Kane then zaps a spotlight near the stage when Bearer says the spotlight has been on him all day. Bearer then says that The Undertaker had better become a believer, as it will all be over after WrestleMania. He then says it was The Undertaker's fault that Kane lost an eye, both of his parents died, and that it was his fault that Kane was locked up for twenty years and until he was brought to the WWF by Bearer. Bearer says that Kane would destroy everyone in his path, and he did. Bearer, having enough of the audience, asks Kane to do whatever he wants. Kane focuses on a crew member and strikes him on lightning, setting him on fire. The man has to be put out with a couple of fire extinguishers and a thick blanket.
The crew member who was set on fire by Kane is taken out on a stretcher.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) vs. The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) ends in no decision. During the match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), the team of Sniper and Recon, the team of Savio Vega and Miguel Perez, The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre), the team of Jose Estrada Jr. and Jesus Castillo all slowly show up and surround the ring only to start a brawl involving all the teams before officials and referees try to restore order.
The intro to War Zone plays to signify the start of the second hour.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) and "Iron" Mike Tyson show up. After some footage from last week, Triple H boasts about taking back the European Championship from Owen Hart and says that Chyna won't be a favtor as he will own Owen. He tells Owen not to show up at WrestleMania and milk his leg injury, or else he'll send him back home in a wheelchair for good. As for "all the desert ladies out there," if they play their cards right, they could end up at his place tonight, and after they get pricked by his cactus, he'll let them play with his prairie dog. Shawn focuses the camera on a woman with "DX" on her tanktop carrying a sign saying "DX Three Words Bring It Here," and asks the woman if she has "two nipples for a dime." Triple H says she is "the breast looking fan here" and asks if she is "double or triple-DX." Shawn then says that she is a skank and that DX realizes that as security continues to keep her away from the guardrail the entire time the spotlight is on her. Shawn they says they couldn't resist but to bring attention to someone with the cajones to wear "DX" on their breasts. Shawn then says he's been listening to WWF owner Vince McMahon and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the last few weeks in "the biggest pinch fight I've ever seen," and tells them that they have a catfight at WrestleMania and the last thing DX needs is them slapping each other around. On the subject of Vince saying he does not want Austin to be the next WWF Champion, Shawn says he appreciates Vince's support, but if he needed "another dirty, stinky, stanky jock strap in his drawer," he'd give him a call, but until then, Vince should leave his opinion as neither he or Austin cares what Vince says or does. He then tells Austin to forget about Vince or stunning WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, and that he should focus on one thing and one thing only: the WWF Championship that is around his waist. The only way Austin can achieve his dream that he has waited for for eight years, and that is to beat him. He tells Austin he is the big dog in the WWF and that he will give him the one chance he has been waiting for, but he tells Austin he has to beat him. He then tells Austin he might have another problem at WrestleMania: Mike Tyson as special guest enforcer, whom he calls "the baddest man on the planet." Tyson tells Austin that if he gets in his way, he will knock him out. Faarooq beats Chainz by disqualification after "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, who shows up during the match with a steel chair, hits Faarooq in the back of the head with a steel chair. The Rock then brings out the rest of The Nation of Domination (D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) to help Faarooq out, and it is questioned whether The Rock did this on purpose.

Sable - with "Marvelous" Marc Mero - shows up in an evening gown, a contrast to Mero's bandanna, sleeveless button-down shirt, bluejeans and black boots. Mero says Sable's success is off of his coattails, but is allowing her this one time to bask in the glory and that he will leave the ring while she enjoys this. Vince Russo, editor-in-chief of Raw Magazine, awards Sable and Sunny an award for making the January 1998 issue of Raw Magazine the biggest-selling WWF publication ever. It is announced Sunny is not able to be here as she is under the weather and it is hoped she gets well soon, and Sable is presented with the award on behalf of her and Sunny. Sable thanks all the fans for buying the magazine and making it possible, but it isn't long before Luna Vachon and The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up. After the match, D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) and "Iron" Mike Tyson show up and Shawn tells Austin they have turned his lights out twice and that he will turn his lights out for the last time at WrestleMania. Austin flips Shawn off, and Shawn takes his jacket off before heading towards the ring. Triple H stops Shawn from getting in, telling him to save it for WrestleMania.
Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie beat The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) by disqualification after The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attack Cactus Jack. During the match, The New Age Outlaws shows up in black suit and tie, with Road Dogg setting up a table with wine glasses, champagne, a vase with a rose in it, a tablecloth and blow-up dolls that look like Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie while Billy Gunn bringing in a dumpster, which briefly distracts Cactus Jack. After the match, a champagne bucket is used as a weapon, and the table is smashed into the skull of Chainsaw Charlie before Cactus Jack is sent head-first into a steel chair by both men with a spike piledriver.
"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats Steve Blackman, snapping Blackman's undefeated streak after Tennessee Lee grabs Blackman's foot and keeps holding it during the pinfall. Referee Jack Down tells the referee of the match what happened, which causes Jarrett to attack Done and the other referee before Blackman fights off Jarrett. Blackman then chases Tennessee Lee to the back.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) will hold a public workout this Thusday at noon at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, Massachusetts.
A white limousine is seen arriving to the venue. Out comes "Iron" Mike Tyson and D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna), who tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to "get over it."
We see The Undertaker talk to his parents in a graveyard. He says that he has done things in his life that he is not proud of and there are time where he has not lived up to their expectations. He hopes that they understand that he has come to his crossroads, and that the devil stands before him in the form of his brother Kane. He asks his mother to forgive him for the sin he is about to commit, a sin so heinous but in the end must be done, for in the end, he only hopes that together, as one, they can rest in peace, a family once again. If that is not the case, he alone is willing to serve his penance and burn in his own damnation. He is willing to look his destiny in the eye and go where the reaper leads him. He asks his parents once again to understand as Kane has given him no other choice, and he has to fight. He tells them to just know that he loves them.
Paul Bearer and Kane show up. Bearer is tired of hearing The Undertaker speak about his parents and what he had to tell them, and that his brother Kane has the same powers that he does. He then allows Kane to provide a demonstration, and Kane causes a lightning bolt to ignite the lighting truss above the stage. Bearer then decides to have Kane display more of his powers, this time on the announcers, and one of the monitors is fried by a lightning bolt. Kane then zaps a spotlight near the stage when Bearer says the spotlight has been on him all day. Bearer then says that The Undertaker had better become a believer, as it will all be over after WrestleMania. He then says it was The Undertaker's fault that Kane lost an eye, both of his parents died, and that it was his fault that Kane was locked up for twenty years and until he was brought to the WWF by Bearer. Bearer says that Kane would destroy everyone in his path, and he did. Bearer, having enough of the audience, asks Kane to do whatever he wants. Kane focuses on a crew member and strikes him on lightning, setting him on fire. The man has to be put out with a couple of fire extinguishers and a thick blanket.
The crew member who was set on fire by Kane is taken out on a stretcher.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) vs. The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) ends in no decision. During the match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), the team of Sniper and Recon, the team of Savio Vega and Miguel Perez, The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre), the team of Jose Estrada Jr. and Jesus Castillo all slowly show up and surround the ring only to start a brawl involving all the teams before officials and referees try to restore order.
The intro to War Zone plays to signify the start of the second hour.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) and "Iron" Mike Tyson show up. After some footage from last week, Triple H boasts about taking back the European Championship from Owen Hart and says that Chyna won't be a favtor as he will own Owen. He tells Owen not to show up at WrestleMania and milk his leg injury, or else he'll send him back home in a wheelchair for good. As for "all the desert ladies out there," if they play their cards right, they could end up at his place tonight, and after they get pricked by his cactus, he'll let them play with his prairie dog. Shawn focuses the camera on a woman with "DX" on her tanktop carrying a sign saying "DX Three Words Bring It Here," and asks the woman if she has "two nipples for a dime." Triple H says she is "the breast looking fan here" and asks if she is "double or triple-DX." Shawn then says that she is a skank and that DX realizes that as security continues to keep her away from the guardrail the entire time the spotlight is on her. Shawn they says they couldn't resist but to bring attention to someone with the cajones to wear "DX" on their breasts. Shawn then says he's been listening to WWF owner Vince McMahon and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the last few weeks in "the biggest pinch fight I've ever seen," and tells them that they have a catfight at WrestleMania and the last thing DX needs is them slapping each other around. On the subject of Vince saying he does not want Austin to be the next WWF Champion, Shawn says he appreciates Vince's support, but if he needed "another dirty, stinky, stanky jock strap in his drawer," he'd give him a call, but until then, Vince should leave his opinion as neither he or Austin cares what Vince says or does. He then tells Austin to forget about Vince or stunning WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, and that he should focus on one thing and one thing only: the WWF Championship that is around his waist. The only way Austin can achieve his dream that he has waited for for eight years, and that is to beat him. He tells Austin he is the big dog in the WWF and that he will give him the one chance he has been waiting for, but he tells Austin he has to beat him. He then tells Austin he might have another problem at WrestleMania: Mike Tyson as special guest enforcer, whom he calls "the baddest man on the planet." Tyson tells Austin that if he gets in his way, he will knock him out. Tyson then says that Shawn will come out of WrestleMania the WWF Champion and that he will come out of WrestleMania the baddest man on the planet. Taka Michinoku beats The Fallen Angel (who will be known in a few years from now as Christopher Daniels, who will go one to be one of the most famous wrestlers in Ring of Honor history).
The WWF Legend Series - "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Andre the Giant, "Classy" Freddy Blassie, "Captain" Lou Albano - is now available at Toys 'R Us from Jakks Pacific!
The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), then Ricky Morton attacks Bob Holly after the match. The New Midnight Express get the upper hand along with Jim Cornette, but they are soon chased out of the ring by The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). Afterwards, The Headbangers and The Rock 'n Roll Express briefly stare down, then The Rock 'n Roll Express - having no problems with The Headbangers - leave the ring.
We hear from "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who says that he beat Owen Hart to take back the WWF European Championship before warning Owen Hart to stay away from WrestleMania if he is smart, or else he will send Owen packing back to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in a wheelchair. We then hear from Owen, who says that he has seen the video footage and that he should have known better after Chyna hit him with a baseball bat. He also says that even though Triple H called him a gutless coward, he at least showed up for the fight even though he was in no condition for it. He plans to get revenge - and the European title back - at WrestleMania whether his ankle is 100% or not. It is then announced that Sgt. Slaughter will be handcuffed to Chyna at ringside at WrestleMania next Sunday.
The WrestleMania Millennium Moment is Willie Nelson singing "America the Beautiful" at WrestleMania 7.
Barry Windham beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman by disqualification after Blackjack Bradshaw runs in and attacks Windham. Blackman then chases Jim Cornette to the back after he realizes that Cornette slipped him a foreign object use when the referee was not looking in order to knock him out.

The hat is removed, and it is revealed that Goldust is wearing a blonde wig as well as black permanent marker all over his face. Luna says that at WrestleMania, she will give Sable the lesson of her life, as all her life, she has been passed over by "blonde bimbos with boob jobs like [Sable]," and that for Sable, it has been fine cars, fine wine and fine people. Luna goes on to say that Sable turns her nose on people like her, and makes it clear she hates Sable. Goldust then says that if "Marvelous" Marc Mero thinks it is over between the two of them, he will get him. Luna then tells Sable to enjoy her cover girl while she still can, for at WrestleMania 14, she will need a bag to cover her face when she rearranges it like a jigsaw people and put half of the pieces in the wrong places before eating the other half of the pieces for lunch.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 2, 1998
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) start tonight's show. Triple H says that tonight, the road to WrestleMania officially begins, and WrestleMania is now X-rated. He tells the parents to get their kids' permission as discretion is advised but will be completely ignored. As for Owen Hart, Triple H says he has been dancing around with his European title and that his run is about to come to a screeching halt, and that he will go through him like a hot knife through butter. Speaking of utensils, he then tells the ladies he has a utensil they'd like to get in their drawers. Shawn then takes the microphone and tells "Iron" Mike Tyson that when he and his posse make it to the arena tonight, D-Generation X will make them an offer that they cannot and will not refuse, and in case Tyson makes the wrong decision, he will never, ever forget D-Generation X. Shawn then says that at WrestleMania 14, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will challenge the #1 man in the World Wrestling Federation, and he will show the world that "the toughest S.O.B. in the WWF" isn't tough enough to take him on. He tells Austin he showed him once how close he would get to the WWF Championship, and tells him to lace up his boots as he will "boogie to the sounds of Sweet Chin Music, courtesy of HBK," and tells him to shine up his head so he can crack it like an egg. Austin shows up, and as soon as he confronts Shawn, the lights go out and Kane's music hits. Kane shows up with Paul Bearer, who tells Austin that he won't have to worry about WrestleMania, as he will cross the bridge to eternity and Kane will send him straight to Hell. The lights come back on, and Austin is the only person left in the ring. Austin takes a commentary headset, and says that he will whip Kane's ass and that he'll do it in the dark if he has to. Austin says the WWF has jerked the carpet from under him for too long, and Kane won't do a thing as he will go on to WrestleMania. As for "Iron" Mike Tyson, if he wants to put a pair of gloves on, he'll knock him out. Austin says he's not scared and that his time has come.

Shane McMahon and "Iron" Mike Tyson are seen stepping out of a limousine backstage.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) show up wearing neck braces. They approach a dumpster thant has been placed near the ring, with the words "#1 in Cleveland" painted on the side. They say the dumpster is like a mascot that follows them everywhere they go, but last week it followed them a little too close last week. Road Dog says that they have pressed charges against Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie, saying they are "up for murder in the first degree." We see footage from Road Dog's camcorder, where they back into a dumpster before being attacked by Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie. The Outlaws apologize, saying they will not be able to compete tonight as they have been ordered by the doctors not to do so. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter appears on the TitanTron, says they're not hurt, and not only orders them to wrestle tonight, but also defend the WWF Tag Team Championships.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification after Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie storm the ring after coming out of the dumpster, slamming the doors on their heads. Road Dog and Billy Gunn end up running away through the titles. The New Age Outlaws retain the WWF Tag Team Championships.
"Marvelous" Marc Mero beats Tom Brandi. Luna Vachon shows up alone during the match, and slaps Brandi so Marc Mero can hit him with a low blow prior to the TKO, then Luna Vachon raises Mero's hand in victory and kisses him. A confused Mero is then attacked by The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, and Sable - who did not show up with Mero before the match, goes after Luna. Referees and officials have to restore order. Mero and Sable then proceed to argue, and Sable pushes Mero down before leaving. Mero then demans Sable come back to the ring, but when she does, Mero slides out of the ring.

Owen Hart retains the WWF European Championship against "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry by disqualification. During the match, Chyna shows up and slowly approaches the ring. When Owen has Henry in the Sharpshooter, Chyna slowly climbs towards the apron, stopping her. When he goes to the top rope, Chyna pushes her into Mark Henry, who is back on his feet and ready to catch him with a bear hug. As he has Owen where he wants him, Chyna gets in the match, wraps a chain around her first, and hits Henry with a low blow. When Michael Cole asks Chyna why she did it, she simply says "Because I can."
"Iron" Mike Tyson is seen meeting with Vince McMahon backstage.
Before the next match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) says they watched The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) when they were kids before bragging about beating them for the NWA World Tag Team Championships, and tells them to beat it if they're looking for an "8-Track flashback." Taka Michinoku calls Jim Cornette a jackass.

Cornette tells The Headbangers to put the NWA World Tag Team Championships on the line at WrestleMania 14 if they have he guts, so they can who is the 8-Track flashback and who is the flash in the pan.
The intro to War Zone plays to signify the second hour.
Vince McMahon is in the ring. After being encompassed by the boos of the audience, he introduces "Iron" Mike Tyson. McMahon asks if Tyson will be the enforcer, or if "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will enforce his own rules at WrestleMania, and says a lot of questions will be answered that night. Before Tyson can say who he thinks will win the match, D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) shows up, surrounded by referees and officials on their way to the ring. Shawn introduces himself to Tyson, and says DX is not here to disrespect him like Austin did, saying it's not DX's style. He is, however, here to call him out to his face and treating him like a man. Tyson tells Shawn that if he wants to do it, they can do it right now. Shawn says that if Tyson gets his people out of the ring, he'll get his people out. The ring is immediately cleared, and Shawn is about to fight Tyson when he rips Tyson's shirt off to reveal a D-Generation X tanktop underneath. Tyson, now a member of D-Generation X, does the crotch chop along with the rest of DX. Vince McMahon is livid. After everyone else leaves, Shawn then says that he is the man that runs the show.

Steve Blackman beats Kama Mustafa by disqualification after Faarooq and "The Rock" Rocky Maivia get back in the ring and attack Blackman. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock rushes into make the save and hit Kama Mustafa with a belly-to-belly suplex. Smacrock and Blackman fist bump afterward.
Col. Robert Parker - formerly of WCW - is seen in the ring. He then introduces Jeff Jarrett, who is now back in his "Double J" gimmick after going his separate ways with Jim Cornette and without the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship (which was awarded to Barry Windham by Cornette yesterday, only for Windham to be stripped of the title today by the NWA governing body). Jarrett is once again introduced as the world's greatest singer, entertainer and wrestler. Jarrett says he wishes Cornette and the rest of his men from the NWA good luck, and says the NWA was not prepared for a man of his stature and that there is only one man who can promote himself and do it right - the world's greatest showman, entrepreneur and promoter - Parker, who is now re-introduces as "Tennessee Lee." Jarrett ehn leaves us with three words: "Ain't I great?"

He then says it will be a bigger shocker for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin when he wakes up next to The Undertaker in the pits of hell. When Austin arrives, he notices Triple H on the stage and is about to confront him when he is superkicked from behind by Shawn. Referees have to check on Austin on the stage as D-Generation X is ordered to the back. Austin goes back to the back in search of DX.
It is announced that D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) and that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is still searching for them backstage. Paul Bearer and Kane are still in the ring, and Bearer asks Kane to get the ring bell. As Kane goes for the bell, Kane grabs a fan, pulls him out from behind the guardrail and beats him up before getting the ring bell and timekeeper Mark Yeaton. Bearer says he forgot to pay respects to The Undertaker several weeks ago, and asks Yeaton to toll the bell ten times in memory of The Undertaker. Yeaton tolls the bell ten times, then Bearer asks him to ring the bell one more time for himself. Kane then hits Yeaton with a choke slam followed by a Tombstone Piledriver. Bearer says he and Kane have reached the end of a long road, and says Kane has done what he said Kane would do. He dares the fans to laught at him and call him fat now, then says Kane has one more tombstone left in his giant body and that he isn't quite finished yet. Bearer says Kane has one more tombstone left, and teases it as being for Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross. Bearer dares someone to step up, then a gong is heard. The lights go out, and Bearer tells Kane that it's not The Undertaker. The bell continues to toll, then a lightning bolt is seen striking a coffin on the stage. The Undertaker is seen lying prone, and he stands upright. He welcomes Kane and Paul Bearer to Hell and the demon who will him to eternal damnation. The Undertaker tells Kane he has disappointed him, and asks if that is the best effort he could put together at Royal Rumble. He tells Kane that he cannot destroy that which does not wish to perish, and tells Bearer that every time he supposedly died, he returned to the world of darkness on his own accord. He soothed the souls of his own parents, and had to explain to them why he has to do the one thing he promised never to do. Bearer tells The Undertaker that he is standing next to "the real phenom," but Kane's fire does not impress The Undertaker, who tells Kane he will walk through the fires of Hell to fight him, and that Kane will understand he is the most feared entity of the World Wrestling Federation, the reaper of wayward souls and the lord of darkness. He tells Kane to think about when they fought as children and their parents to had to pull him off Kane. He then says nobody will save Kane, and the hounds of Hell will feast upon Kane's rotting soul as he rests in piece.

They approach a dumpster thant has been placed near the ring, with the words "#1 in Cleveland" painted on the side. They say the dumpster is like a mascot that follows them everywhere they go, but last week it followed them a little too close last week. Road Dog says that they have pressed charges against Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie, saying they are "up for murder in the first degree." We see footage from Road Dog's camcorder, where they back into a dumpster before being attacked by Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie. The Outlaws apologize, saying they will not be able to compete tonight as they have been ordered by the doctors not to do so. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter appears on the TitanTron, says they're not hurt, and not only orders them to wrestle tonight, but also defend the WWF Tag Team Championships.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification after Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie storm the ring after coming out of the dumpster, slamming the doors on their heads. Road Dog and Billy Gunn end up running away through the titles. The New Age Outlaws retain the WWF Tag Team Championships.
"Marvelous" Marc Mero beats Tom Brandi. Luna Vachon shows up alone during the match, and slaps Brandi so Marc Mero can hit him with a low blow prior to the TKO, then Luna Vachon raises Mero's hand in victory and kisses him. A confused Mero is then attacked by The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, and Sable - who did not show up with Mero before the match, goes after Luna. Referees and officials have to restore order. Mero and Sable then proceed to argue, and Sable pushes Mero down before leaving. Mero then demans Sable come back to the ring, but when she does, Mero slides out of the ring.

When Owen has Henry in the Sharpshooter, Chyna slowly climbs towards the apron, stopping her. When he goes to the top rope, Chyna pushes her into Mark Henry, who is back on his feet and ready to catch him with a bear hug. As he has Owen where he wants him, Chyna gets in the match, wraps a chain around her first, and hits Henry with a low blow. When Michael Cole asks Chyna why she did it, she simply says "Because I can."

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 5, 1998
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is outside of the arena. He says that everyone is gunning for him in the Royal Rumble match, but Austin says that's not happening as he strikes first and that he's got everyone else's number. He says will do unto others before they do unto him, and tells the television viewing audience to kick back, not touch that dial and watch him raise hell.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Faarooq with the ankle lock. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia shows up in the middle of the match, and talks strategy with Kama Mustafa and D'Lo Brown, much to Brown's and Kama's confusion. Kama and Faarooq argue after the match, then The Rock confronts Shamrock in the ring. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and hits both Shamrock and The Rock with Stone Cold Stunners before leaving through the crowd.
Royal Rumble is live on pay-per-view January 18th!
Jim Cornette escorts two men to the ring, and one of them is holding a championship belt. He talks about his commentary from last week where he said there needs to be more respect for tradition and good, old-fashioned competition in the WWF. He has taken matters into his own hands and has flown Howard Brody and Dennis Coralluzzo, respectively the president and vice-president of the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and - at one time - the world's largest sanctioning body in professional wrestling. He says that the NWA stands for tradition, and announces that the winner of the next contest will be the winner of the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship. The contestants are Barry Windham - formerly known in the WWF as Blackjack Windham - and Jeff Jarrett. Cornette then guests on commentary for the match.
Jeff Jarrett beats Barry Windham to become the NWA North American Heavyweight Champion after Dennis Coralluzzo distracts the referee and Jim Cornette smacks Barry Windham in the back with his tennis racket during a superplex attempt. Windham hits the superplex, but Jarrett gets the pin. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up, hits Jarrett with a Stone Cold Stunner, and mocks Jarrett's trademark strut before leaving through the crowd.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that they are both marked men at the Royal Rumble match, and he can't wait to eliminate 28 other men so he can have him alone in the ring.
Sunny is guest ring announcer for the next match, and The Jackyl guests on commentary. Despite his absence, The Jackyl assures that Kurrgan the Interrogator is in the back and can be called out at a moment's notice.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The Truth Commission (Recon and Sniper). Kurrgan the Interrogator shows up just before the match ends, and helps Recon and Sniper annihilate Skull and 8-Ball. The Jackyl gets in to the ring to slap Kurrgan in the face to remove his clawhold on one of the bikers.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) show up. Triple H is wheeled out on a wheelchair by Chyna, and it is confirmed that Triple H will have to get surgery in Birmingham, Alabama for his dislocated knee. Triple H says Chyna's breasts are like the sun: "You're not supposed to look at it, but once you start, you can't turn away." He tells Owen Hart that he has officially gone from being the hunter to being the hunted, saying that Owen was tossing threats around a few days ago only to find out he didn't have to goods to back up his words. He says that Owen stepped up to the plate without a bat and that he had to supply the lumber. He then tells all the ladies that "there's plenty more wood where that came from." He then challenges Owen to come out to the ring so he can flush him down the toilet for good, and he'll even go as far as call Shawn and Chyna off. Owen appears on the TitanTron, saying he won't exchange words with him. He says that Triple H was cocky last week, but now it's getting personal. He says he has compassion in his black heart, and he hopes Triple H heals so he can break the other knee, as he has a black heart and black hearts feel no pain. Triple H tells Owen to watch his back, as "DX is bigger than all of us."

D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) show up during the match and watch from the stage, and the rest of Los Boricuas (Miguel Perez, Jose Estrada, Jesus Castillo Jr.) is booted out of the ring by another referee during the match. Jesus Castillo Jr. tries to intefere as Owen has the Sharpshooter locked in despite this, but Owen Hart drop kicks him off the ring apron and rolls up Savio Vega for the win before going after D-Generation X. Before that can happen, he is attacked from behind by Savio Vega and the rest of Los Boricuas, who bring Owen to Triple H so he can slap him. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, referees and officials have to restore order, and we see Triple H pay off Savio Vega for bringing Owen to him.
Paul Bearer shows up in a distraught mood, and with a mustache back on his face. He hopes "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michael destroys The Undertaker at Royal Rumble, and curses the ground and despises the air that The Undertaker walks on and breathes, respectively. He tells 'Taker he hates his guts, and says it's because of him that he has lost Kane. He says that The Undertaker's actions have poisoned Kane's mind, and that Kane has left him and he can't find him. He tells Kane he knows he's watching him, and asks Kane to listen to him as he has taken care of him for all those years. He asks Kane to come home.
It is found out that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has attacked "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, and The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) check on Henry.
Marc Mero vs. Tom Brandi ends in a no-contest. During the match, Brandi knocks Mero out of the ring and into Sable, and Mero yells at Sable - who hurts her ankle on Mero's way down - for being where he landed. Brandi checks on Sable after punching Mero in the back, but Mero takes advantage. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up, hits Mero with a Stone Cold Stunner, looks at Sable and smiles, then heads back to the back.
The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up with a different, funk-based entrance theme as he shows up in a 1970s-inspired get-up, complete with blackface and an afro on his head as he carries a boombox to the ring.
Flash Funk beats The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust by disqualification after Luna Vachon is caught pushing Flash Funk off the top rope by the referee. After Goldust hits Flash Funk with the Curtain Call, Vader shows up and goes after Goldust, forcing Goldust to retreat.
We see a video package of Steve Blackman.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) when The Headbangers miss with the Stage Dive. The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up and watch from the stage during the match, but eventually head back to the back. After the match, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie show up and scare the Outlaws away.
Don King, registered promoter of Mike Tyson, announces that Mike Tyson will be part of WrestleMania 14, and when the deal is final, he and Vince McMahon will bring one of the greatest shows on earth.
We see footage from "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker's Hell In A Cell match at In Your House: Bad Blood.
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up. He says that he, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna called out Owen Hart, but Owen didn't have the guts. Shawn says he'll give calling someone out a shot and calls out The Undertaker, saying that he has beaten him three times and yet he's a glutton for punishment. At Royal Rumble, he will prove that The Undertaker is a loser and he will walk out the showstopper and WWF Champion. He then dares The Undertaker to get in the ring so he can slap him around. The Undertaker's music hits, then druids push the vandalized casket with the D-Generation X graffiti on it to the ring. He walks up to the casket, thinking Triple H and Chyna are inside, but Triple H and Chyna show up and warn Shawn from the stage. As Triple H tells Shawn to get away from the casket, Shawn asks who is in the casket. Not surprisngly, it's The Undertaker, and he drags Shawn into the casket to end the show.

He has taken matters into his own hands and has flown Howard Brody and Dennis Coralluzzo, respectively the president and vice-president of the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and - at one time - the world's largest sanctioning body in professional wrestling. He says that the NWA stands for tradition, and announces that the winner of the next contest will be the winner of the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship. The contestants are Barry Windham - formerly known in the WWF as Blackjack Windham - and Jeff Jarrett. Cornette then guests on commentary for the match.
Jeff Jarrett beats Barry Windham to become the NWA North American Heavyweight Champion after Dennis Coralluzzo distracts the referee and Jim Cornette smacks Barry Windham in the back with his tennis racket during a superplex attempt. Windham hits the superplex, but Jarrett gets the pin. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up, hits Jarrett with a Stone Cold Stunner, and mocks Jarrett's trademark strut before leaving through the crowd.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that they are both marked men at the Royal Rumble match, and he can't wait to eliminate 28 other men so he can have him alone in the ring.
Sunny is guest ring announcer for the next match, and The Jackyl guests on commentary. Despite his absence, The Jackyl assures that Kurrgan the Interrogator is in the back and can be called out at a moment's notice.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The Truth Commission (Recon and Sniper). Kurrgan the Interrogator shows up just before the match ends, and helps Recon and Sniper annihilate Skull and 8-Ball. The Jackyl gets in to the ring to slap Kurrgan in the face to remove his clawhold on one of the bikers.
D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) show up. Triple H is wheeled out on a wheelchair by Chyna, and it is confirmed that Triple H will have to get surgery in Birmingham, Alabama for his dislocated knee. Triple H says Chyna's breasts are like the sun: "You're not supposed to look at it, but once you start, you can't turn away." He tells Owen Hart that he has officially gone from being the hunter to being the hunted, saying that Owen was tossing threats around a few days ago only to find out he didn't have to goods to back up his words. He says that Owen stepped up to the plate without a bat and that he had to supply the lumber. He then tells all the ladies that "there's plenty more wood where that came from." He then challenges Owen to come out to the ring so he can flush him down the toilet for good, and he'll even go as far as call Shawn and Chyna off. Owen appears on the TitanTron, saying he won't exchange words with him. He says that Triple H was cocky last week, but now it's getting personal. He says he has compassion in his black heart, and he hopes Triple H heals so he can break the other knee, as he has a black heart and black hearts feel no pain. Triple H tells Owen to watch his back, as "DX is bigger than all of us."
The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.
Owen Hart beats Savio Vega. D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) show up during the match and watch from the stage, and the rest of Los Boricuas (Miguel Perez, Jose Estrada, Jesus Castillo Jr.) is booted out of the ring by another referee during the match. Jesus Castillo Jr. tries to intefere as Owen has the Sharpshooter locked in despite this, but Owen Hart drop kicks him off the ring apron and rolls up Savio Vega for the win before going after D-Generation X. Before that can happen, he is attacked from behind by Savio Vega and the rest of Los Boricuas, who bring Owen to Triple H so he can slap him. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, referees and officials have to restore order, and we see Triple H pay off Savio Vega for bringing Owen to him.
Paul Bearer shows up in a distraught mood, and with a mustache back on his face. He hopes "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michael destroys The Undertaker at Royal Rumble, and curses the ground and despises the air that The Undertaker walks on and breathes, respectively. He tells 'Taker he hates his guts, and says it's because of him that he has lost Kane. He says that The Undertaker's actions have poisoned Kane's mind, and that Kane has left him and he can't find him. He tells Kane he knows he's watching him, and asks Kane to listen to him as he has taken care of him for all those years. He asks Kane to come home.
It is found out that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has attacked "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, and The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) check on Henry.
Marc Mero vs. Tom Brandi ends in a no-contest. During the match, Brandi knocks Mero out of the ring and into Sable, and Mero yells at Sable - who hurts her ankle on Mero's way down - for being where he landed. Brandi checks on Sable after punching Mero in the back, but Mero takes advantage. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up, hits Mero with a Stone Cold Stunner, looks at Sable and smiles, then heads back to the back.
The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up with a different, funk-based entrance theme as he shows up in a 1970s-inspired get-up, complete with blackface and an afro on his head as he carries a boombox to the ring.
Flash Funk beats The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust by disqualification after Luna Vachon is caught pushing Flash Funk off the top rope by the referee. After Goldust hits Flash Funk with the Curtain Call, Vader shows up and goes after Goldust, forcing Goldust to retreat.
We see a video package of Steve Blackman.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) when The Headbangers miss with the Stage Dive. The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up and watch from the stage during the match, but eventually head back to the back. After the match, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie show up and scare the Outlaws away.
Don King, registered promoter of Mike Tyson, announces that Mike Tyson will be part of WrestleMania 14, and when the deal is final, he and Vince McMahon will bring one of the greatest shows on earth.
We see footage from "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker's Hell In A Cell match at In Your House: Bad Blood.
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up. He says that he, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna called out Owen Hart, but Owen didn't have the guts. Shawn says he'll give calling someone out a shot and calls out The Undertaker, saying that he has beaten him three times and yet he's a glutton for punishment. At Royal Rumble, he will prove that The Undertaker is a loser and he will walk out the showstopper and WWF Champion. He then dares The Undertaker to get in the ring so he can slap him around. The Undertaker's music hits, then druids push the vandalized casket with the D-Generation X graffiti on it to the ring. He walks up to the casket, thinking Triple H and Chyna are inside, but Triple H and Chyna show up and warn Shawn from the stage. As Triple H tells Shawn to get away from the casket, Shawn asks who is in the casket. Not surprisngly, it's The Undertaker, and he drags Shawn into the casket to end the show.
