Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for December 10, 1999

Bill Alfonso says everybody wants to know how he is going to handle the problems between Rob Van Dam and Sabu, and says there is a simple solution. All of a sudden, the dressing room door opens, and Francine calls for "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer to get in the room as Raven is beating his head on the wall again. Dreamer runs in and tells Raven to stop, because he did the right thing. He tells Raven that he has come so far, and he cannot mess it up now.

Joey Styles and "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner introduce everyone to the show. After a replay of the end of what happened at the end of last week's show, Steve Corino and Jack Victory are in the ring. Corino says what happened at the Limp Bizkit concert proved that hardcore wrestling is bad and hardcore music is even worse. He says there are a lot of great music groups out there, like The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Britney Spears (whom Corino calls his soon-to-be-girlfriend), calling it "real music" that is not generated for high school dropouts like the people in the crowd. He says there is one man who was stupid enough to start the hardcore revolution, and that man is "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. The crowd chants for Dusty as he is seen in the back of the crowd. Corino says Paul Heyman might bleep it out now that he has mentioned his name, then thanks Dusty for "ruining every one of these people's lives," since 90% of them are probably drunk right now. Dusty leaves, but Corino says he is not done with him and then says he left his spine at the last place that he killed. Dusty Rhodes then stands at the aisle leading up to the ring. Joey Styles tells Dusty to stop, but Dusty tosses Jack Victory's wheelchair away. Corino says he is a big boy and that he has beat everybody in the locker room in the last year, and that he will not let "an old fossil" push him around. Dusty gets in the ring, and Corino tells him the business has changed. He says this is not 1985, and that Dusty is not the bull of the woods in his territory anymore. He says Dusty has made all these great phrases, and that he has nothing to say for himself right now as he is looking into the eyes of the future of professional wrestling. Corino says he has no respect for Dusty and never did, then he slaps him. Dusty respons by hitting Corino and Jack Victory with bionic elbows, then he slams Corino on the mat. Dusty dances around a little bit, then hits Corino with an elbow.

After the commercial break, the crowd is stil chanting for "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty points at everyone in the crowd and bows.

Justin Credible says that when you are a master, it is not that hard to figure out. He tells The Sandman he is the only true master of the Singapore cane as well as the only true hardcore icon. He has beaten him once, and he will beat him again. This time, he will do it all by himself. He says it is not because he his partner does not want to help, and he does not want anybody's help. Lance Storm says that just because they stand together does not mean they cannot stand alone, as it is one more way to make an impact. Tonight, it will be at Sandman's expense, as being impact players is not just a name, it is who they are and what they do. Justin says it is not just a name, but a lifestyle, and dares The Sandman to come get some.

Spike Dudley quickly beats Uganda with a low blow followed by the Acid Drop.

Rob Van Dam says that when he and Sabu were partners and he was carrying Sabu for a tag team championship reign, he never liked sharing the ring with him. He knew then just like he knows now that the spotlight will shine bright on Van Dam, and he always has to shine in his light. He says sending him out of the ring injured was like a load being lifted off his shoulders, but he knows he will always come back. When he does, he will keep beating his ass and he will not take the World Television title away from him. He says there is a reason why he holds the Television title, as he is "the whole fuckin' show."

Mike Awesome retains the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against 2 Cold Scorpio. At one point in the match, Jazz tries to save 2 Cold Scorpio from going through a table, and Scopio goes for a top rope drop kick. Both he and Jazz pin Awesome, but it only leads to a two-count.

Justin Credible and "The Sexiest Man Alive" Jason are in the ring. Justin says there is a guy in ECW who walks around drinking beer and smoking cigarettes, and another guy in ECW with the nerve to carry around a Singapore cane just like his. However, there is ony one man in ECW with a big stick, and you are looking at him. Jason says that tonight, he personally made sure that there is only one cane in the locker room, and this is to get The Sandman in the ring. It becomes apparent that Jason has stolen The Sandman's Singapore cane, Sure enough, The Sandman shows up through the crowd with a broom.

Justin Credible beats The Sandman. During the match, Rhino runs into the ring and Gores both men through the timekeeper's table. When The Sandman goes for a White Russian Leg Sweep on Justin Credible and tries to get a steel chair out of his hands, Lance Storm runs in and hits a springboard drop kick on The Sandman to give Justin Credible the win. After the match, Lance Storm attacks The Sandman, but "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer goes after him while Francine and Dawn Marie have a catfight. Rhino runs back in and grabs Fracince, but Draemer hits him a steel chair. Lance Storm hits Dreamer with a springboard drop kick, then Justin Credible grabs the microphone and says that's not just the coolest, that's not just the best...that's Justin Credible.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for January 17, 1999

The Corporation shows up - minus The Rock - to start tonight's show. WWF owner Vince McMahon says he has come out tonight to apologize, as he is man enough to admit that he made a mistake. He says that he has tried to apologize to "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, but Shawn could not physically meet him face-to-face and Shawn's mentor Jose Lothario did not want to listen. He then introduces The Rock, who shows up, and Vince apologizes for last night, saying he should have never made that match last night between Kane and Mankind for the WWF Championship. The Rock accepts his apology, but asks Vince what he was thinking putting Kane in a match against Mankind for the WWF title in the first place. Kane takes offense, and The Rock proceeds to make fun of him. Vince then announces that Mankind will take on The Big Boss Man in a non-title match tomorrow night, and Mankind will be serving hard time when it is all over. He also tells "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock that he has a present for him: the week off to train, as Royal Rumble is only a week away. As for Shamrock's opponent, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, however, he will have to face Test in a singles match. Vince then focuses on Chyna, saying anything can happen in the WWF and that she is #30 in the Royal Rumble match. As Vince says that he could have punched her lights out, Shane McMahon and Kevin Kelly receive a message from the producers. Shane gets in the ring as Vince proposes that Chyna face him in an arm wrestling match, and even says that he will be wearing a sweatshirt so that Chyna will not be intimidated. Shane tells Vince that Shawn has called in tomorrow night's main event between Kane and The Rock. The Corporation is livid.

Backstage, WWF owner Vince McMahon tells The Rock that tomorrow night will be great, because Kane is "a retard" and he will do what Vince tells him to do under threat of being returned to a mental institution.

Before the next match, Tiger Ali Singh issues an open challenge to "any American peasant who is stupid enough to stand up for this disgusting and deplorable country." The challenge is answered by Gillberg.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry, who denies that anything happened between him and Chyna.

Backstage, Shane McMahon is seen talking to Luna Vachon.

2 Cold Scorpio beats a reluctant "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry. During the match, Chyna shows up and tells Mark Henry that he has 24 hours to make his decision, which distracts Henry to the point that Scorpio wins with a jackknife pin.

Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge). During the match, it is announced that "Halftime Heat" will be airing in two weeks during the Super Bowl halftime show. Later on in the match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James rushes out to attack Gangrel in revenge of the blood bath The Brood gave him. Edge tries to win the match on a powerbomb as referees rush into get both men separated, but Owen Hart hits Edge with a drop kick to allow Jarrett to roll up Edge for the win.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews Goldust, who now has Head dolled up to look just like him. Goldust asks why he does what he does, as his intellect is way below Cole's comprehension and he was in the need for "a little Head."

The Godfather beats Goldust. During the match, one of The Godfather's hos is dragged underneath the ring, then another person in a dress and wig comes out. It is Al Snow dressed as one of The Godfather's hos, and he steals Head from Goldust and runs off. This distraction allows The Godfather to get the win with a schoolboy pin. After the match, Goldust chases after Snow, who cannot run very fast in high heels, and attacks him before stealing Head again.

Backstage, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson arm wrestle each other.

WWF owner Vince McMahon and Chyna show up for the arm wrestling match. Before Chyna shows up, Shane McMahon leaves the commentary table to tell Vince that he is a gentleman and that he doesn't have to do this,, but Vince tells Shane he will rip Chyna's arm clean off if he has to. Shane says he has a little better idea and has provided a substitution: Luna Vachon, who is attacked from behind by Sable almost as soon as she shows up. Referees have to separate Sable and Luna on the entrance ramp, then Chyna shows up as scheduled. After a couple of false starts, Chyna wins the arm wrestling match after Gerald Briscoe pushes Pat Patterson into Vince as they argue. Afterwards, Pat Patterson tells Chyna she didn't beat anybody, and that he is a man and he can beat anybody before proposing a wrestling match against him. Gerald Brisco tells her to forget Patterson and to face him in a match tomorrow night. Chyna does one better and takes the challenge against both men at once for Raw to end the show.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for November 14, 1998

Tiger Ali Singh beats 2 Cold Scorpio following the distraction by Babu.

We hear from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says that going into Survivor Series is like a scene from Cool Hand Luke. He says that what he and The Big Boss Man have a failure to communicate, and Big Boss Man working for WWF owner Vince McMahon does not mean a thing to him. He says there is no way that Boss Man will be able to beat him at Survivor Series.

Michael Cole and Grand Master Robbie host the Totally Twister Game Center, where George & Adam explain the rules of Turbo Pass before Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Men's Teioh, Dick Togo) play it...or at least try to.

Christian retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Taka Michinoku. After the match, the rest of Kaientai (Sho Funaki, Men's Teioh, Dick Togo), and Edge and Gangrel get in the ring to clean house.

New, never-before-seen WWF memorabilia will be sold on The Home Shopping Network immediately after Survivor Series!

Before the next match, The Godfather asks the crowd what they think of his hos, then questions where he should offer "Marvelous" Marc Mero the women or give Jacqueline a job. He mentions that Mero has female problems, then says his will do what Mero says. He gives Mero the choice of fighting him, knowing The Godfather will kick his ass, or a pick - for a small fee - of either of the two women with him for the whole night. Mero hugs Jacqueline, then The Godfather says Mero doesn't know how to treat a woman and says that Jacqueline needs a pimp like him in her life, as he knows how to treat her right and he can "pop that thang." Mero proceeds to beat The Godfather up, starting that match.

The Godfather beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero by disqualification. During the match, Jacqueline gets physically involved only to get spanked by The Godfather. Later on, Jacqueline slaps The Godfather in full view of the referee before he can hit the Pimp Drop, ending the match in a disqualification, and Marc Mero retreats when an attack from behind fails to work. This leaves Jacqueline high and dry, and she is forced to roll out of the ring.

We hear from numerous WWF Superstars concerning the Deadly Gamers Tournament for the WWF Championship at Survivor Series and their first-round opponents.

We see footage of Sale training for her match at Survivor Series.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for October 18, 1998

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats Bradshaw, but is then attacked by The Blue Blazer after the match. He then covers his face with his arms on the way to the back.

We see footage from earlier today of Paul Bearer in catering.

The Oddities (Kurrgan, Giant Silva and Golga) beat Los Boricuas (Miguel Perez, Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada Jr.). After the match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) gang up on The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope), but The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up and beat up The Headbangers. Referees have to break up the brawl as the Outlaws head to the back.

We see more footage from earlier today of Paul Bearer at catering.

Before the next match, The Godfather tells Faarooq that he has known him for a long time and that Faarooq knows he is a pimp. He then says that what Faarooq doesn't know is that Chicago, Illinois has "some of the best hos ever born." He announces that he has hand-picked two hos - both of whom have accompanied him to the ring - especially for Faarooq, and even though they are not his normal type of ho, it is good enough for him. He then gives Faarooq a choice of facing him in the ring knowing The Godfather will kick his ass, or he can pick one of the hos for a small fee. Faarooq gives the two women a look over, then picks the one on the left before hitting The Godfather with a cheap shot to start the match. Suddenly, D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry show up to get a close look at the match.

The Godfather beats Faarooq, then D'Lo Brown and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Mark Henry toss Faarooq into the steel post before attacking The Godfather in the ring. The Rock then shows up and chases D'Lo and Mark Henry to the back.

We see footage from during the break where Faarooq is met by The Jackal, who says something into Faarooq's ear. Faarooq follows The Jackal to the back, speaking to him as he does.

Val Venis guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Michael Cole interviews Paul Bearer, who insists he is here for the food as well as to catch up with other people backstage in addition to enjoying the big show tonight.

2 Cold Scorpio beats Jeff Jarrett. During the match, an usher shows up with a gold package, and hands it to Val Venis from the front row. Venis opens it to find a golden cup, which angers Venis to the point that he heads to the back. Later on in the match, Jarrett pushes Scorpio into referee Jimmy Korderas, sending him out of the ring. Al Snow shows up out of the front row and helps Korderas back up, sticking Head in Korderas' back pocket. This distracts Jarrett, and Scorpio wins with a roll-up as Snow pulls Head out of Korderas' back pocket.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen entering the arena, and Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter take him to the "referee's quarters," which is nothing more than a broom closet.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up, followed by D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac). Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter have entered the ring in the meantime. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching from the "referee's quarters" backstage. Sgt. Slaughter orders Chyna and X-Pac, out of the ring and back to the back, which they do. Sgt. Slaughter then introduces Pat Patterson. Patterson tells Shamrock that he reminds him of his younger self when he became the very first Intercontinental Championship, then tells Triple H that since he stole the belt at WrestleMania - actually, at SummerSlam, as Triple H reminds him - he has been nothing but a disgrace to the championship. He also says that Austin is backstage listening to him, and tells him to listen well and make some notes, because later tonight, this is the way WWF owner Vince McMahon wants it and how he will humble himself tonight. Patterson then asks Triple H to hand the Intercontinental title to Shamrock, then takes the microphone away from Patterson and staring him down before handing the title to Shamrock. Triple H then tells Shamrock that he, DX and the whole of Chicago, Illinois have two words for him: suck it.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen in a wheelchair backstage. Aside from local law enforcement, Vince is also accompanied by The Big Boss Man, who is in a black ski mask, a black leather jacket, gloves, pants and boots.

Backstage, "The World's Moost Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock finds "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a nearby car and slams the door on his leg, further injuring it. Chyna tries to save Triple H, but she is held back by Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is on the stage with The Big Boss Man and local law enforcement. He tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that tonight, he will crown a new WWF Champion, or he guarantees that he will fire him live on pay-per-view. Vince then says that all he asks for is some understanding from the fans, as they can relate to Austin's predicament and there is no doubt in his mind that each and every one of the fans have done certain favors for a boss, teacher or a dominating family member. He says the vast majority have not only done just that, but also "sucked up" to their superiors. Vince then says a "very large quotient" have not only done both of these things, but also "kissed ass." He then says that is all right and that there is nothing wrong with that, as it is the American way. Vince then says that tonight, he will ask Austin to slightly bend his values, since he will never get a rematch for the WWF Championship. He then tells the fans not to blame him, and tells Austin that if he defies him, it will not be "Vince McMahon screwing Stone Cold, it'll be Stone Cold screwing Stone Cold," and that Austin is no different from the rest of the fans in terms of defying authority, as nobody has the guts to defy him. Vince then says that one way or another, he will be humbled, "because Vince McMahon said so." Austin is then seen destroying the TV in the "referee's quarters" to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 5, 1998

Note: This episode aired on Saturday due to the U.S. Open.

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He announces that on September 27th, a brilliant, Machiavellian plan will be unfolded, as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will suffer a physical and emotional breakdown that will cause him to no longer be the WWF Champion once the plan is executed, and guarantees that this will happen and that he should not even be WWF Champion right now. Vince says The Undertaker dominated Austin and even had an insurance policy in the form of Kane, but he sent him back to the locker room. Vince calls The Undertaker "a damned fool." He then talks about Austin's appearance on Regis and Kathie Lee, where he said SummerSlam was a hard-fought battle and that he has respect for The Undertaker. Vince knows The Undertaker is somewhere in the building and can hear him, and that his "retarded" brother Kane can hear him, too. He tells them they should be striking terror in the heart of every WWF Superstar, and that they should be dominating and terrorizing the World Wrestling Federation, but instead, the Superstars are starting to snicker at their mere sight and are not terrorized any longer to the point that they could not terrorize a kindergartner. The crowd starts calling Vince an asshole, and Vince responds "That's class all the way," then days The Undertaker and Kane have been reduced to "two putrid pussies." Kane and The Undertaker show up, and Vince McMahon leaves through the crowd immediately, with The Undertaker and Kane following.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) vs. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman comes to an end when The Undertaker and Kane show up and attack Blackman, with a choke slam by Kane and a leg bar by The Undertaker. The D.O.A. and Paul Ellering start running as soon as Kane and The Undertaker come their way, and Shamrock is angry when he sees Blackman is injured.

Val Venis is spotted making out with a woman in a bathroom stall backstage.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski is like your family dog: he's loyal, he's obedient and he comes when he's called."

Val Venis vs. Vader ends in a no-contest. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen in the crowd holding up a sign with the message "He's coming back." Later in the match, Bradshaw shows up and confronts Vader, but when The Undertaker and Kane show up, he gets out of the ring before The Undertaker and Kane demolish both Venis and Vader.

Michael Cole interviews "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. The Rock tells says The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are like everyone else he has laid the smackdown on. As for "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmesley, he will always be the people's champ, even if Triple H left him laying in a pool of his own blood at SummerSlam.

Michael Cole interviews The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says the boys are back, and that they did what they said they would do. Road Dog says they aren't just going to get a piece of "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, they're getting his whole ass, and if "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry wants a shot, they'll knock him off too, as it's their first title defense and the only good offense is "a damn good defense."

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification after Chyna rushes into the ring and goes after Mark Henry. The New Age Outlaws, who retain the WWF Tag Team Championships, have to hold her back.

Tiger Ali Singh and Babu show up. Singh says he has proven that American men have no class or courage, and that they will do anything for money. He says they have continually embarassed themselves by eating worms and licking Babu's feet. He has also proven that American women have no morals and no self-respect, and that they have degraded themselves continuously by taking their clothes off and eating dog food. He has now concluded there is no limit to how low Americans will go. As he speaks, Babu is eating sardines, and Singh notices this, saying the stench has gotten on his nerves and that he hasn't even brushed his teeth in four days. This gives Singh an idea: offer $500 to any American woman who will get in the ring and French kiss Babu. Babu picks a younger American woman, and since she is beautiful, Singh bumps the reward up to $600. All she has to do is kiss Babu for five seconds - which he will count - to get the money, but if she stops at any point, she does not get paid. She plays tonsil hockey for more than five seconds, thanks to Singh telling the crowd to shut up, and gets the $600. After this, The Undertaker and Kane show up as the young lady leaves, and they both choke slam Singh and Babu, and Babu is choke slammed out of his shoes.

Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh).

The Undertaker and Kane find the door to WWF owner Vince McMahon's office. kane tries to reak the door with a sledgehammer, and manages to do just that. Mr. McMahon is not in the room, however.

WAR ZONE

We see unseen SummerSlam footage where X-Pac, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), Howard Finkel, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) and Darren "Puke" Drozdov continue to cut "Double J" Jeff Jarrett's hair in the locker room.

X-Pac beats D'Lo Brown by disqualification after "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, now with a shorter haircut and brand new ring gear, shows up and attacks X-Pac. As X-Pac and Jarrett fight in the crowd, The Undertaker and Kane show up yet again and attack D'Lo Brown. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia runs in and confronts The Undertaker and Kane, but he gets a beatdown while D'Lo Brown escapes through the crowd. D'Lo Brown retains the WWF European Championship, and The Rock gets choke slammed.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero vs. Edge ends in a no-contest when Gangrel rushes out and brawls with Edge. Mero and Jacqueline have almost made it to the back when The Undertaker and Kane show up yet again and attack Mero.

Jim Ross interviews Al Snow and Head. We see footage of Snow in Extreme Championship Wrestling, and Snow says that ECW is a completely alternate experience, and there, he was able to show that he was capable of carrying the ball when it was giving it to him, taking his chance and running with it. He was a star in ECW, and he can be a star in WWF, and if he isn't given the opportunity, he'll take it, even if he is talking to a mannequin head. Snow says he is a normal human being with a regular life, a wife and kids. Snow says the voices he hears from Head are numerous but regular people. Snow says he has had numerous challenges in his life, but he will overcome them. It is also acknowledges that Snow has competed as both Avatar and Leif Cassidy. Snow apologizes for his outburt towards Jim Ross back then where he screamed that he could not take it anymore, but says he did not have a breakdown or was pushed over the edge, but rather had an awakening. If he had clearance to see WWF owner Vince McMahon, he would not even entertain the act of talking to him. Snow also says it is him running the show, not Head.

The Undertaker and Kane are seen backstage again.

Before the next match, Road Warrior Hawk is seen wearing street clothes and his L.O.D. 2000 helmet, dancing with The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva). After being Road Warrior Hawk then tries to dance with Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope), but when they refuse, Hawk attacks them. Despite his extremely compromised state, he is still part of the match, which does not bode well for Road Warrior Animal or Darren "Puke" Drozdov. As everyone else fights outside of the ring, Giant Silva chokes slams Hawk in the middle of the ring. The Oddities (Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) and Darren "Puke" Drozdov. The Undertaker and Kane attack a random backstage worker and trash the backstage interview area.

Before the next match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett tells 2 Cold Scorpio not to look him in the eye, because that enough to piss him off.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats 2 Cold Scorpio by disqualification after he is attacked by X-Pac. During the match, it is announced that "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman has been taken out of the arena earlier with a knee injury, and may be out for a while. Updates on his injury will be provided tomorrow night on Sunday Night Heat. It is also announced that tomorrow night on Sunday Night Heat, The Undertaker and Kane will fight together in a tag team match for the very first time against Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov. After the match, X-Pac and Jarrett take their brawl to the crowd, then The Undertaker and Kane show up yet again and attack 2 Cold Scorpio before he can leave the ring, and WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up and watches from the stage as The Undertaker choke slams Scorpio before he and Kane hit Scorpio with a spike Tombstone Piledriver to end the show. It is not long before The Undertaker and Kane notice Vince and chase him to the back to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for August 23, 1998

Before the next match, The Rock shows up with a ladder and lays it on the stage before heading to the back.

Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) beat The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga) by disqualification after Luna Vachon gets on top of Mark Canterbury and tries to put him in a sleeper hold. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen in the audience carrying a sign saying "He's Coming Back." After the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett shows up with a pair of clippers to cut Luna Vachon's hair, but Giant Silva gets in the ring. Jarrett retreats, and Silva choke slams Mark Canterbury.

An inebriated Road Warrior Hawk shows up unexpectedly before the next match, much to the irritation of Road Warrior Animal. "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and hits Hawk with a splash, then he and D'Lo Brown double-team Animal. Darren "Puke" Drozdov then runs into the ring with a steel chair, and Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown retreat, with the WWF European Championship match ending before it can even begin.

Edge is seen in the audience before the next match.

Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) by submission after Owen Hart puts Mosh out with a rear naked choke.

The Rock shows up, and he takes the ladder that he left on the stage at the top of the show with him into the ring. He talks about how he watched all the fans come to the arena and how he came to one conclusion: tonight is the largest collection of trailer park trash he has ever seen. He then mentions "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's challenge to a Ladder Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, and accepts it, saying "You bet your pretty ass." The Rock then says he will both enter and leave SummerSlam as WWF Intercontinental Champion after beating Triple H from pillar to post all over the ring before hitting him with the Rock Bottom and climbing up the ladder to take back the title, and says that he will look into Triple H's eyes and Triple H will realize that there is nobody who can beat him.

It is announced that Chyna will call out The Rock tomorrow night on Raw.

Taka Michinoku beats 2 Cold Scorpio after Mrs. Yamaguchi-san distracts the referee and Mr. Yamaguchi-San distracts Scorpio, allowing Michinoku to hit the Michinoku Driver for the win. After the match, Val Venis shows up and says he has just read Taka's fortune cookie, and that tomorrow night on Raw, "The Big Valbowski" will be speaking softly and carrying a big stick, and he will be ready to unload on him.

We hear from Pacific Blue star Mario Lopez, who had a great time on Sunday Night Heat. He also talks about his confrontation with Val Venis.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett vs. Darren "Puke" Drozdov ends in a no-contest. During the match, X-Pac comes out of the crowd and attacks Jarrett, then grabs an electric razor and cuts some of Jarrett's hair while Droz holds Jarrett down. Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) run in, but X-Pac and Doz retreat and celebrate the cutting of some of Jarrett's hair to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 3, 1998

RAW

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up. The Rock says that the entire world is ready to see him and Owen Hart take on The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and asks them why they should wait when they can just have their match right now before calling them out. Instead of getting The Undertaker and Austin, he gets WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter instead, and The Rock tells him to get out and get their opponents. Austin shows up along with The Undertaker, but as Austin gets in the ring, The Undertaker is distracted by Kane and Paul Bearer, who follow close behind. The distraction leaves Austin on his own in the ring, and as The Undertaker heads back to the back to give chase, Mankind shows up and he and The Undertaker fight near the stage. Austin manages to hit a Stone Cold Stunner on Owen Hart, and eventually fights back before nearly hitting a Stunner on The Rock. Austin gets out of the ring, grabs a chair, and gets back in the ring with it as The Nation retreats.

Golga quickly beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero after Luna Vachon smashes flowers into Jacqueline's back. (This match is mysteriously missing from the episode as it appears on the WWE Network.)

"The Godfather" Kama Mustafa beats 2 Cold Scorpio to continue on to the semi-finals of the Brawl For All Tournament. Before the match, Dan "The Beast" Severn says he has nothing to prove in the tournament, and if he has a score to settle it, he will settle it when his hands are not bound. This allows The Godfather to come back into the tournament. The Godfather then gives 2 Cold Scorpio a choice: either go three rounds with him in which he'll beat his ass, or spend the night with three of his finest hos. Scorpio chooses to fight The Godfather.

Michael Cole interviews The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Road Dog says revenge is sweet, but not as sweet as wearing the tag team titles. They are more afraid of the lengths they'll go to to get the tag team titles back as they are of Kane and Mankind. Gunn says they'll keep sticking it in everyone's face as the "D" stands for determination and the "X" stands for excellence.

Kane and Mankind beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) despite Road Dog not being the legal man in the match when he is pinned.

Road Warrior Hawk addresses the fans, Titan Sports and even Road Warrior Animal as his real self - not as Hawk - and apologizes for his behavior last week. He hopes that everyone can find it in their hearts to forgive. He then says it's time to "do the Hawk thing."

In footage from earlier today, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett says that Road Warrior Hawk embarrassed everyone last week, and that it's time he scared him straight, Double J-style.

Road Warrior Hawk beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett as Tennessee Lee tries to give Jarrett his belt to use as a weapon. As Road Warrior Animal shows up to congratulate Hawk, Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) attack Animal and Hawk, and Darren "Puke" Drozdov goes after Jarrett, who eventually retreats.

WWF owner Vince McMahon arrives with Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. McMahon says the highway to Hell ends at SummerSlam, and the way he sees it, both The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are on two different highways that will eventually merge and that there might be a roadblock when The Undertaker and Austin lose the WWF Tag Team Championships. He says that new tag team champs who know about unity will be crowned in Owen Hart and "The Rock" Rocky Maivia. Vince then asks about what he considers a coincidence from last week's Raw, where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin threw a beer to The Undertaker, and says that when The Undertaker drank Austin's beer, he knew that Kane was about to obliterate Austin. Vince also brings up what happened earlier tonight with Austin and The Undertaker, then asks The Undertaker to come to the ring and try to disprove this "conspiracy theory" with a viable explanation. The Undertaker shows up, and when Vince tosses him a microphone and The Undertaker catches it, Vince says that he just proved his point. Austin shows up immediately after, and says he doesn't trust anybody and that Vince should know better than anyone else. As for the beer, The Undertaker looked thirsty, so he threw him a beer. It does not mean that they are friends, and the fact that he has both tag team belts doesn't mean anything to him as all he cares about is beating him at SummerSlam. He tells The Undertaker he can keep both tag belts, as he wants nothing to do with them and that the WWF Championship is the only title that matters to him. As Austin leaves, The Undertaker tells Austin to listen for a minute, as he is doing what Vince wants him to do and is trying to drive a wedge between them, as he does not want them to be champions. Just like he came to Austin like a man to ask for a shot at the WWF Championship, he asks him to come back to the ring and take what is his. Austin heads back to the ring, and takes one of the tag titles before leaving again, keeping his eyes on The Undertaker as he does. Vince is livid. The Undertaker then tells Austin one more thing: between now and SummerSlam, Austin is "the safest S.O.B. in the World Wrestling Federation," but at SummerSlam, he will take what is rightfully his: the WWF Championship.

Backstage, "The Rock" Rocky Maivia says he and Owen Hart could care less about who the tag team champs are and tells The Undertaker to rest in peace and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that he will hit rock bottom. Owen Hart says that after they win the WWF Tag Team Championship, everyone will find out who the real "nugget" is.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats X-Pac after Chyna hits X-Pac in the face with a forearm to face "The Rock" Rocky Maivia for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. X-Pac confronts Triple H after the match.

Before the next match, Val Venis tells the ladies that if they are fans of the San Diego Chargers, he's got the lightning bolt to charge for their goal.

Val Venis and Taka Michinoku vs. Kaientai (Dick Togo and Sho Funaki) comes to a bizarre end after Taka turns on Venis by hitting him with a drop kick before joining Kaientai, saying that Yamaguchi-san wife is his sister. Kaientai and Taka then drag Venis to the back.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown announces that he is being forced to defend the European Championship even though most of the people in San Diego are not even American citizens, and that he is wrestling in this match under protest.

D'Lo Brown retains the WWF European Championship against Dan "The Beast" Severn by disqualification. During the match, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and watches the match from ringside, and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up to watch the match from ringside from another corner. It is announced during the match that D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) locker room is locked, and has asked not to be interviews. After this announcement, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up and gets in a fight with D'Lo Brown before throwing him and Mark Henry into the steel steps, ending the match. Severn is not happy, and Blackman attempts to calm Severn down. After D'Lo Brown makes it to the stage, he is suddenly attacked by Edge, who then makes his way back to the back. D'Lo Brown does not even know what happened.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), Yamaguchi-san and Taka Michinoku are seen attacking Val Venis backstage.

Tiger Ali Singh shows up. He says that American women have no class, morals or self-respect, and that tonight, another American woman will prove to the world that there is no limit to which an American woman will go for money. For every piece of garment they remove, he will give them $500. He commands his servant Babu to chose a woman, and he picks one out of the crowd. He picks a rather corpulent woman, who is commands to immediately strip, which she does. She takes off the shirt, followed by the skirt, then offers her $500 for every piece of clothing she puts back on. She puts the skirt and the shirt back on, and is immediately rewarded with $2,000.

We see footage from moments ago of Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), Yamaguchi-san and Taka Michinoku dragging Val Venis into a room, with Yamaguchi-san carrying a katana as the camera man is shooed out of the room.

Before the next match, it is announced that the woman who took off her clothes for Tiger Ali Singh for money will be on WWF Code Red on WWF.com after Raw, among others.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart. After the match, Kane and Mankind go after The Undertaker, but Kane seemingly accidentally hits Mankind with a steel chair. The Undertaker takes the chair from Kane and hits Mankind with it, then The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) get into the ring and fight off Kane and Mankind. Austin gets back into the ring and hits Road Dog with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Security manages to get into the locker room where Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki), Yamaguchi-san and Taka Michinoku are located, and Yamaguchi-san is seen trying to cut Val Venis' privates off. The broadcast fades to black as the katana comes down.

WWF pays tribute to "The Junkyard Dog" Sylvester Ritter, who passed away in a car accident last Tuesday.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson show up in black tie and tuxedo. Vince thanks the fans for making Raw the most-watched sports entertainment program in history, and says he comes before the fans as a humble man with generosity, caring and sharing in his heart. He tells the fans they only know the side of him they see on television, and tonight, they will meet "the true Vince McMahon." Tonight, as a result of his many years of contributions that he has had the privilege to make to many charitable organizations, he will be honored by two of the most respected charitable organizations in the country and named Humanitarian of the Year. At this black tie event, which takes place later on tonight, the fans - both in the arena and worldwide - are invited, and Vince extends the olive branch to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who he hopes will take part in the event. Vince then thanks the fans from the bottom of his heart.

Before the next match, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry are ejected from ringside.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Kama Mustafa - now nicknamed "The Godfather of the Nation of Domination," or simply "The Godfather - with the ankle lock to qualify for the King of the Ring Tournament. D'Lo Brown attacks Shamrock after the match, but Dan "The Beast" Severn gets into the ring and takes him down. Severn is eyeing Shamrock as Shamrock limps around the ring, then Severn leaves.

Friday night's show at Madison Square Garden had a sell-out crowd of 19,506. It was announced that night that SummerSlam will take place at Madison Square Garden this year.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) spread the word that SummerSlam is coming to Madison Square Garden in a segment known as "DX in New York City."

Faarooq and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beat "Marvelous" Marc Mero and "Double J" Jeff Jarrett after Faarooq knocks Jarrett into Mero, who can't keep his eyes off Jacqueline. Jarrett and Tennessee Lee chew Mero out after the match. During the match, it is mentioned that The Undertaker is on his way to the arena.

We see the awards that Halas-Payton Foundation and Minority Athletes Networking will honor Vince McMahon with later tonight.

Chainz beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov, then The Undertaker shows up, choke slams both men and tosses them out. The Undertaker then makes it known he wants WWF owner Vince McMahon. After the commercial break, The Undertaker sees Vince chatting with Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and charity dignitaries George Martin and Darnell Autry backstage on the TitanTron. THe Undertaker makes his way backstage.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. Triple H says that DX has unfinished business with The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry), but before he can say more, L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal, Road Warrior Hawk, Sunny) show up and tells DX they have bigger problems to worry about than The Nation, and demand a shot at the WWF Tag Team Championships. Triple H tells Hawk not to have aneurysm, and that they have their title shot. Suddenly, Skull and 8-Ball show up and says they beat Road Dogg and Billy Gunn before L.O.D. 2000 did, and says they should be the ones with the title shot. DX have a brief huddle, and tells both teams to suck it since they can't fight all four of them at once. Suddenly, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaugher shows up in black tie and tuxedo, and decides both L.O.D. 2000 and The Disciples of Apocalypse are both #1 contenders. He puts all three teams in a Triple Threat Match tonight, with the winner becoming the WWF Tag Team Champions.

The Undertaker is seen throwing around chairs and tables backstage.

Vader vs. "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry ends in a no-contest after The Undertaker shows up, choke slams both men, demands WWF owner Vince McMahon and heads backstage once again.

Dan "The Beast" Severn beats D'Lo Brown by submission to qualify for the King of the Ring Tournament. After the match, Owen Hart attacks Severn from behind, but "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock limps into the ring and chases Owen Hart through the crowd.

We see a video tribute to Sable.

We see some footage from earlier today of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shaking hands with Minority Athlete George Martin and Darnell Autry.

Before the next match, Val Venis says he and Dennis Rodman have a lot in common. They're both called "The Worm," but the only difference is that Rodman dominates the boards while he dominates the broads. (Interestingly, Dennis Rodman made a surprise appearance with the nWo during this week's WCW Monday Nitro.)

Val Venis vs. Dustin Runnels ends when The Undertaker gets in the ring and choke slams both men involved in the match yet again.

Dok Hendrix gets blasted by X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn with the Super Soaker CPS 1500 before a cameraman meets the same fate.

Before the next match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James says The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and Chyna are the real triple threat, and if The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) and L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) think they are going to win the tag team titles, they've got another thing coming. We then see The Undertaker attack WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter backstage as he demands to know where WWF owner Vince McMahon is.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) and L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) when both men are made the legal participants and Billy Gunn pins Road Dog. During the match, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and X-Pac are seen sitting on steel chairs and watching the match from the stage, showing signs such as "Where's Rocco?" (a reference to L.O.D. 2000's wooden dummy from years ago) and "I'd rather be in Chyna."

Police are seen backstage.

Al Snow and Head are seen at ringside, but they are arrested by police.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson head to the ring as the police are still backstage. The Undertaker is surrounded by police as McMahon, Brisco and Patterson shake hands with Kevin Kelly, former New York Giant and Minority Athletes Networking co-founder George Martin and former Chicago Bears and Halas-Payton Foundation representative Darnell Autry. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin makes his way to the ring, the only major change to his usual wardrobe being a black tie around his neck. Vince McMahon confronts Austin for his attire, but thanks him for showing up. When George Martin thanks Vince McMahon for his "dubious" contribution, he mentions that it is significantly less than originally promised and that the check cleared after after two attempts. He also mentions that the children understand his busy schedule and his inability to spend time with the organization, before telling him that Austin is his favorite WWF Superstar. When Autry presents Vince with the Halas-Payton Foundation Humanitarian Award, he says he doesn't remember Vince sending them a check, and mentions that his favorite Superstar is also Austin. Vince says their humor is exceeded only by his generosity, and thanks not only Autry and Martin but also the fans. He believes that he humbly, yet deservedly accepts these awards tonight, and hopes that his awards will be placed in a futre WWE hall of fame along with the rest of them. Suddenly, Austin picks Vince pocket, finds $1200 in $50 bills, calls Vince "the tightest son-of-a-bitch," donates the money to both foundations in Vince's name, and asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they think Vince should be named "Jackass of the Year." At the end of the show, The Undertaker's music hits and druids show up with a casket, and Mankind comes out from underneath the ring as the casket is place d in front of the ring. Kane comes out of the casket, and Mankind and Kane attack Austin, proving this to be a set-up by Vince McMahon ater Austin is tossed into the casket.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 18, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson show up. As a result of Vince's devastating clothesline delivered to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin last week on Raw, Austin has supposedly suffered a mild concussion. Vince calls Austin "a spirited individual," and says he might try to get revenge on him, Brisco or Patterson. He then says that revenge would be nothing compared to the injury he might suffer at their hands, and that therefore, for Austin's protection, has barred Austin from the arena tonight. We then see footage from earlier tonight of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin not being allowed into the building by a security guard whom Austin allows five minutes to reconsider as only Austin himself would allow, telling him they can do this the easy way or the hard way. Vince then introduces Dude Love to the ring as the next WWF Champion. Dude Love finds it ironic that as Austin's reign comes to an end that the Dude only becomes stronger as he looks younger, handsomer and more well-educated every day. He says that May 31st will be a night where dreams come true for everyone, especially for Brisco, Patterson and McMahon when Austin's reign is finally ended, and also especially for himself when he becomes a hardcore legend, the toughest S.O.B. in the WWF and the new WWF Champion. Vince then calls out Dustin Runnels for the burning of his Goldust attire last week, and Runnels shows up. Runnels' right knee is bandaged due to recent surgery. Vince confronts Runnels for blaming everything on him and tells him to take some accountability for his own life and that he gave him an opportunity as Goldust. Vince thinks Runnels wants to prove himself, and gives him an opportunity to prove himself tonight. If Runnels can beat Dude Love in the ring tonight despite having a recently worked-on right knee, he will be the #1 contender for the WWF Championship, but if he loses, he will be working without pay for 30 days. Runnels accepts, saying the sooner the better, and attacks Dude Love. The numbers game quickly catches up to runnels when Brisco and Patterson stomp on him, and referees and officials have to get Dustin Runnels out of the ring.

Jerry "The King" Lawler lets someone cloaked in a blue cloth out of a mini-van. It is not "Stone Cold" Steve Auustin, but reather someone who is sent to take care of Austin. Security checks the man out and lets him in.

After the commercial break, Jerry "The King" Lawler loses the guy in the blue cloak and finds him on a payphone on the WWF Superstar Line.

Val Venis beats 2 Cold Scorpio in his WWF debut with his dive from the top rope known as the Money Shot.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin approaches the security guard and deals with him the hard way, beating him up for not letting him in. He then makes his way into the arena.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin makes his way to the ring. He tells the crowd to give him a "hell Yeah," then says he'll crash the party any time he wants to, because if there's a Monday Night Raw, he's going to be there. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon can pull the strings all he wants, but he's getting more and more pissed off with him every single day. Austin calls out McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson out so they can settle this once and for all, and if they don't show in 30 seconds, he'll tear up every camera they have. McMahon asks Austin who he thinks he is, breaking into "his" arena. Austin says he's the one looking at three jackasses dressed up in suits, and warns Patterson he will stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry if he heads past the stage. He says he wants to talk to all three of them like men and does not want to fight them, and tells them to get in the ring. Vince still wants to fight Austin, and Austin watns them them not to take a step as they don't want a piece of him. Vince says he doesn't go a street fight in a suit like the one he, Brisco and Patterson are weraing, and asks Austin if he wants a street fight against the three of them. Austin then asks the crowd to give him a "Hell Yeah" if they want to see one. Patterson says he wants to take him on, saying Austin is an idiot and that he does not suck as Austin said on commentary two weeks. Brisco also wants a piece of Austin while showing immense loyalty for McMahon. McMahon allows Austin two out of the three of them, to allow for some fairness, but Austin says he'll put knots on all three of them before the night is over. Vince tells Austin he's looking at three musketeers, but Austin tells them they can all screw themselves and that two of them will get their asses whipped regardless of who shows up, and that's the bottom line.

We see another vignette for Edge.

Jerry "The King" Lawler catches his mystery man at the make-up booth.

Sable shows up before the next match, and asks "Marvelous" Marc Mero to come to the ring. She tells him she has been looking back on their relationship lately, and is allowing to let bygones be bygones, and if he can be an adult about it, they can have an amicable split and they can go their separate ways. Mero asks Sable if she wants to leave him, and Sable says yes. Mero tells Sable she forgot one detail. Two years ago, she signed a contract with him, which basically states that she is still his property and tells her to get in his corner "like a good little girl." Sable realizes he won't be an adult and will hold her hostage, and Mero warns her that she will sue her for everything she has and for every cent she's made under him.

Terry Funk beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero. After Terry Funk pushes referee Jack Doan to the ground, Mero hits a low blow followed by a TKO, but Sable distracts the referee, calling Mero out for his low blow and allowing Terry Funk to hit Mero with a DDT to get the win.

The security guard as well as two Nashville police officers look for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin backstage. They come across Jerry "The King" Lawler and his mystery partner in the blue cloak, and even they can confirm that the man below the cloak is not "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz and Skull) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) after 8-Ball comes out of the crowd and gets the pinfall on Animal while the referee isn't looking. After the match, Animal wants a six-man tag match against The Disciples of Apocalypse next week.

Jerry "The King" Lawler is seen heading to the ring with the man beneath the blue blanket.

Earlier today, Paul Bearer and Kane went to a medical center outside the arena to take a DNA test to prove that Kane is his biological son. Kane is seen wearing a black ski mask and a jacket with multiple dark colors instead of his usual ring gear.

WAR ZONE

The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.

Jerry "The King" Lawler heads to the ring with the person in the blue blanket when he comes to the commentary table, and says he has the man in the blanket with him to protect him in case he is jumped at the commentary table. The man below the blanket is none other than Al Snow, who has showed up with Head and wants to see WWF owner Vince McMahon. Lawler, Head and Snow leave through the crowd.

Dude Love beats Dustin Runnels with the Mandible Claw to stay #1 contender for the WWF Championship. Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson show up during the match, and Brisco distracts Runnels, allowing Dude Love to win with the Mandible Claw. As a result of Dude Love's victory, Dustin Runnels must work without pay for 30 days. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching the match backstage, and cameras are on him when the police arrest him.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson approach "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as he is being arrested by two Nashville police officers, confronting Austin for defying him yet again and gloating over the fact that he and his men won't have to face him in a street fight tonight.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) vs. Kaientai (Dick Togo and Men's Teioh) ends in a no-contest after Yamaguichi-san distracts the referee, allowing for Sho Funaki to attack The Headbangers along with Togo and Teioh. Bradshaw and Taka Michinoku rush towards the ring, forcing Kaientai to retreat through the crowd. During the match, Al Snow and Head are in the front row, demanding to Jerry "The King" Lawler that he wants to see Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen in the back of a county squad car, with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco standing just outside talking to a police officer.

We see more footage of Paul Bearer and Kane taking their DNA test in Bearer's attempt to prove that Kane is his biological son.

Before the next match, X-Pac says there are a lot of WWF Superstars looking at the monitor, and says D-Generation X ("Triple H" HUnter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) "got game." Triple H says he's a hell of a hummer, as he can bang the skin. He tells the ladies that if he's not too enthralled with the show, they can swing around to the back and twirl his stick while he's beating the tom-tom. Road Dogg tells "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart that if he and Billy Gunn are just going to let them have the tag titles, they've got another thing coming, as law around here is DX law, and he who breaks the law goes back to the house of pain. Triple H tells "The Rock" that if he messes with them, it won't be "know your role," instead, it will be "shut your hole." When The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up, they all go after D-Generation X, and referees and officials have to restore order. A cameraman is injured during the ringside brawl between both factions.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart) after Chyna distracts the referee, allowing Faarooq to run in and hit The Rock with a piledriver. Al Snow is seen talking to Head, still wanting to see WWF owner Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is still in the squad car, which is still in the arena.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is out of the squad, and is released from his handcuffs after he apologizes to the security guard for "beating his ass" and "for [him] being so damn stupid," then heads to the ring.

Kevin Kelly is in the ring with Dr. Chuck Woosley, who has the results of Kane and Paul Bearer's DNA test. He announces that he can say without a doubt that Paul Bearer is the biological father of Kane. Kane and Paul Bearer show up, and says he's the fat man who tells the truth and not the little boy who cried wolf. He tells The Undertaker that he was telling the truth about Kane being alive and Kane being his son, and then tells The Undertaker that his mother was "nothing but a damn two-bit whore, and that's the truth." The Undertaker comes out from the back, beats up Paul Bearer, then choke slams Kane before beating up Paul Bearer some more. Kane gets back up, and he and Paul Bearer attack The Undertaker until Vader runs in and goes at it with Kane. The Undertaker leaves the ring and goes after Paul Bearer, who runs to the back.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up for the main event Street Fight, while WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter is announced as the special guest referee for the match. When "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gets in Slaugher's face and flips him off during his ring entrance, Slaughter attacks him from behind, starting the match early. A fan in a Steve Austin mask is seen standing next to Al Snow in the front row.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco in a Street Fight ends in chaos. Brisco, Patterson, and special guest referee WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughteer all get Stone Cold Stunners, then Dude Love and Steve Austin brawl. The fan in the Steve Austin match jumps the guardrail and attacks Austin, and unmasks to reveal himself as WWF owner Vince McMahon as Dude Love locks the Mandible Claw on Austin.

After the end of the show, WWF owner Vince McMahon and Dude Love get in the ring after checking on Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, who join them in the ring soon afterwards. Vince hugs Dude Love, then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gets in the ring and gets his hand on Vince McMahon, chasing him to the back.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 11, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up to start the show. He says that when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes through that locker room door, he will have to take part in tag team action tonight. He then takes the opportunity to introduce someone who has proven he is willing to make sacrifices to the extent that he has become #1 contender to the WWF Championship: Dude Love. Instead of the usual tie-dye, he is wearing a suit, carrying a copy of The Wall Street Journal, has a shaved beard and has artificial front teeth in his mouth. Dude says that last week, he was confused as to what his true identity was, but knows who he is now: a well-educated man, a speaker of four different languages, a reader of Greek tragedy, a student of American history, a lover of women, a leader of man, a surprisingly good dancer for a big man, the king of hardcore wrestling, and - as Austin will find out at Over The Edge - the world's toughest S.O.B. He is the future WWF Champion, and he is Dude Love. Dude Love and Vince shake hands, and Dude Love says that for quite some time, Dude Love had lost his smile and is happy to report that with the support of Vince McMahon and the WWF, he has found that smile and it certainly feels good. He says that this time, a handshake won't do it, and he and Vince both hug. Vince says he is proud of Dude Love, and has a surprise for him: the special guest timekeeper for his and Austin's match at Over The Edge will be none other than Gerald Brisco. Brisco shows up and shakes hands with both Dude Love and Vince, and Vince says he has another surprise: Pat Patterson is special guest ring announcer for the match will be Pat Patterson, who also shows up and shakes hands with everyone in the ring. Vince then gives us one more surprise: a special guest referee in the form of...someone who doesn't show up. Vince McMahon heads to the back to see what's going on, as does Gerald Briscoe. Pat Patterson then introduces the special guest referee, and after teasing it will be Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, he announces it will be Vince McMahon, who comes back in black slacks and a sleeveless referee's shirt. Vince then mocks Austin's ring entrance before all four men raise their arms in triumph.

Kevin Kelly is backstage as Sable shows up. Sable has no time to talk as enters in preparation of her public confrontation with "Marvelous" Marc Mero.

We see footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) on their way to the CNN Tower in Atlanta, Georgia, where they where they make their way to World Championship Wrestling. They have no way of getting in, however, after being stopped by security, but they still have their fans in the area.

Kevin Kelly opens a garage door backstage when it is banged on. Instead of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, it's Al Snow from Extreme Championship Wrestling, who has Head with him as well as tickets to the show. He admits that he is a little lost, and Kevin Kelly gives him directions to his seats. Kevin Kelly is bemused by the fact that Al Snow is talking to a mannequin head.

Vader, back in action from injury after three months. beats Barry Windham. During the match, it is announced that Vader will face Kane at Over The Edge, and the loser will be forced to unmask. After the match, The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) fail to take out Vader, and Vader leaves the ring as soon as it becomes apparent that it will be a 3-on-1 brawl. It is also announced that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will debut on MTV Celebrity Deathmatch this Thursday on MTV.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has arrived.

During the commercial break, Kevin Kelly interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin says Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF owner Vince McMahon don't qualify to be "The Three Stooges" and that they're so pathetic that they're "The Three Jackasses." He says that whatever Vince does, he won't take the WWF Championship from him. As for tonight, he's not a tag team wrestler, and upon being told that nothing about the match has been revealed, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin takes the microphone and heads further into the building.

Skull beats Road Warrior Hawk with a roll-up. Actually, 8-Ball does after he and Skull pull the old switcheroo on Hawk.

We see more footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) at the CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

We see another vignette of Edge, in which he mostly walks around.

We see footage from earlier today of Bradshaw teaching Taka Michinoku how to drive in America while the two of them smoke cigars. When they make it back, they are suddenly jumped by Club Kamikaze, who is accompanied by an older man in a business suit.

Faarooq beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett after Kama Mustafa and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry attack Faarooq and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman." Jarrrett takes advantage of the situation by striking Blackman in the back with his own nunchaku before choking him with them.

Tony Siragusa of the Batlimore Ravens is seen in the crowd.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon may have stacked the deck against him at Over The Edge, but he doesn't care as it doesn't bother him one bit. He knows Vince can't stand him, and he feels the same way about Vince. He says that if Vince won't tell him anything about the tag team match he is part of tonight, then the least he can do is show up and give him some information if he is any kind of man. Vince shows up on the TitanTron with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, saying they're having a board meeting. As for Over The Edge, he says his title reign is going "over the edge." As for the tag team match, Patterson and Brisco say they know nothing, before imitating the "Speak No Evil, See No Evil, Hear No Evil" monkeys. Austin tells the threesome they can cover up their eyes, ears and mouths but they can't cover up their asses, and when it's all said and done, it where he'll stick the WWF Championship.

We see a splicing of Val Venis vignettes before the end of Raw.

WAR ZONE

Sable gets in the ring and calls out "Marvelous" Marc Mero. When Mero shows up, Sable says she never thought he'd take it this far, but if has to come to this, she'll give him her best. Mero tells Sable not to weasel out of this match as it's a little too late, then immediately attempts a TKO only to put her down and says he could have finished her off quickly, only to let her go because he's a gentleman. He gives Sable a chance to apologize for ruining his WWF career, but Sable kicks him in the groin before putting him in the Sable Bomb.

The Undertaker suddenly shows up, throws the chair that Jerry "The King" Lawler was sitting in, and punches Lawler in the face for his locker room remarks in his inadvertently-recorded conversation with Paul Bearer from last week. Lawler gets choke slammed, but Kane and Paul Bearer make their presence known before 'Taker can put Lawler in the Tombstone Piledriver. Bearer tells The Undertaker that either the truth hurts him badly instead or he doesn't believe him at all, but then reminds him that he told him Kane was alive and that he didn't believe it, either. Next week, he will prove once and for all that he is Kane's father. After Kane and Paul Bearer leave, The Undertaker stops Lawler from leaving and continues where he left off, hitting him with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Al Snow shows up, this time at ringside, and he and Head almost guest on commentary only to be escorted out by security and Pat Patterson. Snow insists he needs to see WWF owner Vince McMahon, then runs into the ring and into the crowd.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is still at the CNN Center. He says the Atlanta, Georgia version of "Operation DX" is complete, then we see a computer-generated rocket "hit" the CNN Center and create a computer-generated explosion.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. X-Pac says they have gotten back from Atlanta, Georgia where World Championship Wrestling nearly had them arrested, and tells Eric Bischoff that he doesn't know what he's smoking and that he never asked him for anything, much less an apology, except for him to be a man. As for kissing ass, he never kissed Vince McMahon's ass and he never kissed Bischoff's, and tells Bischoff to "suck on it." The New Age Outlaws (James, Gunn) introduce themselves, then Gunn tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that they're either with them or their ass better call somebody. Triple H then tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that DX loves them and that he has a surprise for their state bird. Before he can show that surprise, Owen Hart shows up and says he's heard enough before telling Triple H they have unfinished business. Triple H says if they have unfinished business, he's right here waiting, and Owen tells him he's coming down to the ring to kick his ass before bringing out the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry).

Jim Cornette guests on commentary for the next match.

Triple H vs. Owen Hart ends with a nasty confrontation between the rest of D-Generation X (Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) after Owen Hart bites Triple H's ear and Chyna crotches Owen Hart on the top rope.

It is announced that there will be a Six-Man Tag Match between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) at Over The Edge.

The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up as Dustin Runnels, carrying his Goldust outfit, wig and a steel can wit a gas can in it. He takes the suit and wig, places them in the can, pours gas on it, then lights a entire box of matches and throws it in the steel can, setting them ablaze. Runnels tells WWF owner Vince McMahon he has worked "too damn hard" for him for three years, and that the Rhodes name goes way back and has a lot of pride, history and dignity in it. He does not have that dignity because of Vince taking it away from him due to his imagination. He blames Vince for losing his father "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and causing him so much heartache his wife Terri and daughter Dakota over the Goldust persona. He says Vince punished him for not beating "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the WWE Championship by putting him in the ring with Kane, and says he will be punished no more. He then says that Goldust dies tonight, and tells him that he will never forget the name of Dustin.

We finally learn the identities of "Club Kamikaze:" Yamaguchi-san is the older gentleman in the business suit, while the three members are Dick Togo, Men's Taioh and Sho Funaki. (Men's Teioh is better known as Terry Boy from his appearance at ECW's Barely Legal pay-per-view.) Together, they are known as Kaientai. Yamaguchi-san calls the crowd "scumbag Americans," and introduces "the new generation with the new Japanese attitude." He then introduces Kaientai, and says we will never know where or when they will strike. Kaientai then attack Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio from behind.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Taioh, Sho Funaki) beat Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio by disqualification after Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw clear the ring out, causing Kaientai to flee through the crowd.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen talking to somebody backstage, and this person is implied to be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner

Al Snow tries unsuccessfully to enter the building again.

The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up. The Rock says the fire between himself and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin finally reignites, and tells Austin that unless his partner is Godzilla, he's ready to lay the smack down on the WWF Championship. Before the commercial break, WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco pride themselves on what they believe to be a job well done.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner is revealed to be WWF owner Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vince McMahon vs. The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia) ends when Vince McMahon clotheslines Austin in response to being flipped off. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Dude Love all attack Austin, and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) get in the ring to brawl with The Nation of Domination (The Rock, Owen Hart, D'Lo, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 27, 1998

We see footage from earlier today in front of the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, fifteen minutes away from Hampton, Virginia, the site of this week's Raw. D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are dressed in helmets, camouflage pants and DX shirts. They have seen the enemy, and they are near. They will head to the Norfolk Scope and "blow them out of the water." He says this will start with the Norfolk Scope Virginia - with World Championship Wrestling, as the Norfolk Scope the site of this week's WCW Monday Nitro - and it will end at the Hampton Roads Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia. The five of them are driven in a Jeep from Hampton to Norfolk.

Owen Hart and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) doesn't even happen when Owen Hart kicks Ken Shamrock in the groin. The Nation (The Rock, Mark Henry, Kama Mustafa, D'Lo Brown) gang up on Shamrock, and Shamrock tries to injure Shamrock's leg before putting him in the Sharpshooter. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman jumps in, but The Nation attacks him as a snapping noise is heard while Owen has Shamrock in the Sharpshooter. Faarooq also gets into the ring, but he does not fare any better than Blackman, and referees have to convince Owen to release the Sharpshooter on Shamrock. Owen celebrates as referees and officials try to clear the ring, and Owen Hart tires to bite Shamrock's ear.

It's time for The Love Shack. Surrounded by two hot women, Dude Love says that last night's pay-per-view was one hot night, and says he can appreciate why everyone loves "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and admits he is a tough cookie. He says that Austin would be lying if he said he wasn't hurting a little bit, then Dude Love says he chewed him up and spit him out, and after that, he had to tell the ladies he just wanted to be held that night. Dude Love goes on to say that Austin tried to get himself disqualified and that WWF owner Vince McMahon had to convince him to get back into the ring only to get hit with a chair shot to the head. The way Dude Love sees it, there are three choices: find the former WWF Champion "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and match him up against Dude Love to see who the real champ is, have a tournament for the WWF Championship where he is the #1 seed, or fire Austin and strip him of the WWF Champion before handing it to him. Dude Love is obviously leaning towards the third choice, and asks the crowd if they want option #3 only for the crowd to respond with a "Hell No."

We see D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) in Norfolk, Virginia. After making fun of Eric Bischoff and World Championship Wrestling, DX fires a shot from the cannon affixed to the Jeep they rode in on, and calls it their first shot at World Championship Wrestling.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) lead a match in Norfolk, Virginia to the Norfolk Scope Arena.

Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen entering the arena backstage before the next match.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio after Terry Funk shoves referee Tim White. Nevertheless, both teams keep fighting.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) heads to the front of the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Triple H asks for free tickets to WCW Monday Nitro, while X-Pac gives a shout-out to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

WWF owner Vince McMahon heads to the ring. Vince says he comes with a heavy heart, as over the last 24 hours, he has had to make some very difficult decisions. He says he knows "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tried to take his head off with a steel chair last night, and as a result of that, he has sustained a mild concussion as well as dizziness and nausea, but none of those symptoms have clouded his judgement. Vince has decided not to fire Austin...yet. He says firing Austin would be too good for him, as he has other plans for him. Those "other plans" are a match tonight where Austin defends the WWF Championship against The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust. He then introduces the official who will officiate that match: Gerald Briscoe, whom he calls "a family friend" and "a warm, caring human being." Brisco shows up and shakes hands with Vince, and Vince informs him that if Austin lays a finger on him tonight, Austin will be fired and his WWF Championship will be revoked. Brisco confirms he will be a fair, impartial individual and that he is not scared of Austin under the current circumstances. He also says he will uphold the fine tradition of WWF referees. Vince then asks what kind of representative Goldust would make as WWF Champion, then says that anyone else as WWF Champion would be better than Austin.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is seen in Norfolk, Virginia again, this time trying to enter a gate leading to the arena. The gate closes, but Triple H demands that DX be let in so they can talk to Eric Bischoff.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats Bradshaw after an attack on Bradshaw by Club Kamikaze, who now has a fourth member in a suit and a mask. Taka Michinoku rushes in to fight them, but he doesn't fare very well. Before the match, it is announced that the encore for Unforgiven is tomorrow night on pay-per-view.

Kevin Kelly interviews Dude Love, who is not happy with Vince McMahon's decision. Vince McMahon gets Dude Love's attention, and tells Vince not to screw him. Vince, upon seeing Kevin Kelly and the camera crew, becomes enrages and demands the camera be cut off.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up. Triple H mocks WCW main event announcer Michael Buffer as he introduces The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog' Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), which becomes a DX trademark). The New Age Outlaws show up on tiny green motorbikes in an effort to mock their opponents for tonight, The Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz, Skull, 8-Ball), who bring some backup in the form of L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal, Road Warrior Hawk, Sunny).

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) when Skull and 8-Ball switch places, allowing the fresh man to get a surprise schoolboy pin on Billy Gunn.

The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.

The Undertaker quickly beats Barry Windham. After the match, The Undertaker tells Kane that he looked into the eyes of the dragon and got burned last night, and if he wanted to fight with him, it was only the beginning. He calls Kane out so they can finish it, and says he won't leave the ring until he shows up.

After the commercial break, Kane and Paul Bearer finally show up. Gauze can be seen wrapped around Kane's right arm. Bearer says the war between Kane and The Undertaker has to stop, as it was not supposed to be like this. Bearer says that The Undertaker was the one who should have burned in the flames, but once again, Kane had to suffer the pain and agony of the inferno. Bearer talks about how he remembered seeing a 3-year-old Kane wrapped in bandages and the saline solution poured on his body as the dead skin cells were removed from his body. Bearer says there must be a truce, and that he tasted his own blood as it ran down his face last night. When he looked up, he saw Kane on fire and says he could smell the flesh and feel Kane's pain. He says it was "his son" whose hand was on fire, which brings a look of slight shock to The Undertaker.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust and Luna Vachon. Goldust says he was born a star and a #1 contender, and says he would be a WWF Champion the people would be proud of. Dude Love attacks Goldust from out of nowhere, and Luna Vachon tries to get her hands on him as referees and officials have to separate both men.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up again. Triple H says he should be on top of the world as DX expands to take on new markets and new worlds, and says that nobody - not even The Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz, Skull, 8-Ball) - kills his buzz. Triple H says he's hot right now, and issues an open challenge for the WWF European Championship. 8-Ball of The Disciples of Apocalypse show up, but Jim Cornette rushes in with Dan "The Beast" Severn, who isn't even dressed for a wrestling match as Cornette tries to talk him out of the challenge. This doesn't matter to Severn, who immediately takes his suit off despite Cornette telling him he's the one signing the checks. Cornette slaps Severn in the face, but Severn proceeds to slam him into the mat and choke him out.

During the commercial break, Jim Cornette is helped to the back, seemingly suffering from issues with one of his shoulders from the attack from earlier.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says that WWF owner Vince McMahon has done everything he can to get the WWF Championship off of him. Austin says he'll defend the WWF Championship all week if he has to, and says nobody will screw him out of it. If someone beats him for the WWF Championship, so be it, but he will give Vince McMahon as many grey hairs as he can for as long as he tries to mess with him.

Val Venis is in a convertible on the set of "The Big Valboski." When it comes to "Venis envy," every male is at the head of the class, and regardless of what they say, good things do not come in small packages.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up. He asks the crowd if they want Sable, and when they make it obvious they do, Mero brings out Sable. Sable shows up, and Mero says she humiliated him last night by standing in the ring with nothing on but her bra and panties and that she should be ashamed of herself. He then asks her if she's figured out what happens when he's not in her corner, and Sable says she does and that she liked it...and so did the fans. But she has something even better that they like: her putting Mero in his place. Mero laughs, and asks if Sable is going to beat him up. Sabel says she doesn't know, but she's going to try and that it's time for her to make it on her own. Mero asks Sable if she's challenging him, and Sable says "You're damn right, I am." Sable asks Mero to give her two weeks and she'll embarrass him by kicking his ass on Raw.

We see WWF owner Vince McMahon talking to Gerald Brisco, who is now in a referee's uniform. Vince asks Brisco to call the WWF Championship match between The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin right down the middle.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up, takes the WWF Championship and dismisses Mark Yeaton to the back so he can take over as timekeeper.

The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ends in a no-contest. During the match, Dude Love goes after Austin after special guest referee Gerald Brisco pretends to have something in his eye to keep Austin from winning. Vince McMahon goes after Austin by hitting him in the head with the WWF Championship belt, but he accidentally nails Brisco in the head with it.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 20, 1998

Kevin Kelly is outside the cemetery where Kane and The Undertaker's parents are buried and where Kane and The Undertaker will meet. It is reported that Kane and Paul Bearer have been seen here, and that The Undertaker will be here shortly.

Dude Love shows up, and welcomes everyone to The Love Shack. Vince McMahon shows up, and says that he had an opportunity to humiliate and embarrass "Stone Cold" Steve Austin last week, and that Dude Love prevented that with his interference. He fines Dude Love $5,000 for his actions last week and tells him not to interfere in his business again before leaving. Dude Love admits the last week has been emotional, and says letters have been pouring in asking one question: "Why, Dude, why?" He explains that when he made his way to the ring, he wanted to create a little bit of peace, love and understanding. When he stepped up to Vince, he was victim to an attack from behind by Austin. Now Dude Love is wondering why Austin would do such a thing, and says the answer is simple: the root of all evil - the chicks. When he and Austin were tag champs, all the women followed them around, and while he was a chick magnet, Austin got all the uglier women while he got all the beautiful ones. Dude Love says he has a match with "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman tonight, but he and Austin don't have to wait until Unforgiven as Austin can be forgiven tonight. He is willing to forget about the #1 contender's match as long as Austin comes out and grovels on his knees before the end of the night. Otherwise, Unforgiven will be a long night. Dude finishes by claiming he knew he would take him, but never thought it would be that easy.

The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) come out through the crowd for their next match, a Long Island Street Fight. Mark Henry is seen carrying a beer keg with one hand.

As the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are sent to the back by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, both armed with weapons of their own, are kept in the back by WWF officials.

Faarooq beats Kama Mustafa in a Long Island Street Fighter after using one of his own cowboy boots as a weapon.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) have a laugh at the footage of themselves urinating on The Disciples of Apocalypse's (Skull, 8-Ball, Chainz) motorcycles, then Billy Gunn says he, Jesse James and X-Pac had all the fun while Triple H stayed to the side. He dares Triple H to not only "show us the bazooka," but to also "show [the crowd] a shower of some kind." Triple H accepts Billy Gunn's challenge.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up, with Triple H wearing a long, black trenchcoat. X-Pac gets the crowd fired up before handing the microphone to Triple H, who says that last week, The Disciples of Apocalypse's (Skull, 8-Ball, Chainz) "talked some trash, rode up in here on some brass, and left here with their heads shoved up their ass." James and Gunn introduces themselves as The New Age Outlaws, who says that at Unforgiven, L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) will learn that you can polish a turd all day and it'll still be doo-doo. Triple H makes fun of their valet Sunny, saying he doesn't like being called "skanky," which he says repeatedly. He then says you can put Chyna inside of a steel cage and haul her up over the ceiling, but if she rips open the bars, she'll rip off your head and do something down it that you don't want her to do. He then tells Owen Hart that at Unforgiven that he owns him, regardless of whether Chyna is inside a cage or not, then tells the ladies not to worry about taking a Sunday drive to a Montague lighthouse, as he has the tower "that's brick-thick and made for a chick." Billy Gunn then reminds Triple H of the dare, then Triple H teases it. He finally pulls out a super soaker from the trenchcoat and shoots water into the crowd. L.O.D 2000 and Owen Hart show up on the stage, and Hawk says they are DX are a lot alike, except they do what they say they're going to do. Tonight, instead of talking the talk, they're going to walk the walk. Triple H says "Don't sing it, bring it!" as the five of them head down the stage only to be stopped by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, who says that there is a time and place for what they are about to do, and that this is indeed the time and place and as WWF Commissioner, he is making a six-man tag team match between D-Generation X and the team of Owen Hart and L.O.D. 2000. Triple H accepts the challenge. As DX shoots the crowd with the super soaker, WWF owner Vince McMahon is backstage when a woman hands him a coffee. The woman's arm is noticeably shaking.

Kevin Kelly is a few moments away from the cemetery, and when he shows up, we will see what happens between Kane and The Undertaker. The Undertaker appears at the commentary shortly after the next match begins, and it is announced that after the match, the show will cut to the cemetery. Not long after, it is announced that something has happened there.

Dan "The Beast' Severn beats Mosh with an arm bar.

Kevin Kelly reports that The Undertaker left the cemetery as quickly as he arrived and that the sound of a blood-curdling scream was just heard. As Kevin Kelly says that camera crew have entered the cemetary to see what's going on, The Undertaker grabs Kevin Kelly, demanding to know where Kane and Paul Bearer are at and what happened to them, if anything.

After the commercial break, Kevin Kelly, now seated on the ground, reports in a low voice that he can only speculate on what happened in the cemetary, and that The Undertaker may be heading back to the arena.

Before the next match, Luna Vachon says that this Sunday at Unforgiven, Sable will be reborn and that she will be the woman to strip her of her soul, her mind and all of her clothes. After that, she will leave her naked and alone in the center of the room like the pathetic wench that she is.

Bradshaw beats The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust by disqualification when Bradshaw is suddenly attacked by Club Kamikaze.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen backstage...

The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. Last week, he asked WWF owner Vince McMahon who his opponent for Unforgiven was only to be told that Vince was still deliberating on it. Austin feels that Vince is lying, but it doesn't bother him as he says he's lied to him in the past. He also mentions Dude Love's interference and attack on him during his match with Vince last week, and says that there is a conspiracy between Vince and Dude Love. He asks the fans to give him a "hell yeah" if they feel that way, too, which they do. He says Dude can beat him if he has one arm tied behind his back any day of the week, but he can bet his last dollar that he will pick himself back up and beat his sorry ass. He says that Unforgiven is too long, and promises that before the show is over, he will get his hands on both Vince and Dude Love as he has some ass to kick tonight. Austin then accosts a photographer as well as ring announcer Tony Chimel, then flips the crowd off, accosts a cameraman on the stage and leaves.

Before the next match, a hearse appears outside of the arena. Also, Jim Cornette guests on commentary for the next match.

2 Cold Scorpio and Terry Funk beat The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn). After the match, Dan "The Beast" Severn hits Scorpio with a belly-to-belly suplex, but Funk throws a chair in the ring, forcing Severn and Jim Cornette to flee before Severn can do more damage with a submission hold.

We see Val Venis in the shower with a woman. He says there is nothing like a hot shower after a hot day's night, and when he comes, there will be no stopping him.

Sable is interviewed in the ring by Michael Cole. She says her body is far from humiliating, and the naked truth is that she could care less if Luna Vachon stripped her naked, and as long as she gets her hands on her, she doesn't care what she's wearing.

Kane and a ragged Paul Bearer are seen coming out of the hearse, pulling a coffin out from the trunk.

Michael Cole interviews WWF owner Vince McMahon backstage about "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's claims of a conspiracy between him and Dude Love. Vince says Austin has watched too many Oliver Stone movies and does not want to dignify the question with a response. As for Austin's threats to get his hands on him, he was ready for him last week and he is ready for him this week.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Helmsley, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Owen Hart and L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) when the referee is distracted by Owen Hart and Triple H on the outside while Chyna grabs Sunny, distracting Hawk. Gunn hits a piledriver on Animal, ending the match.

Paul Bearer and Kane have pulled a wooden casket out of the hearse. Bearer says The Undertaker will be so surprised, as they have exhumed the coffins of The Undertaker and Kane's parents.

Kane and Paul Bearer show up with the two wooden coffins. Bearer says he is here for The Undertaker as Kane pulls out a gasoline can, as The Undertaker was not able to attend his parents' funeral. Bearer says he has exhumed The Undertaker's parents so he can have a funeral for them, and brags about picking the cheap wooden caskets that he buried his and Kane's parents in, saying they were the cheapest pine boxes he could find. He says they have been in the ground for 20 years and that their coffins are rotten and worm-ridden, then The Undertaker shows up from out of the crowd. Bearer commands Kane to pour the gas on the coffins, and Bearer commands The Undertaker to stop. The Undertaker tells Bearer he will die a thousand deaths if he sets the caskets on fire. Bearer does it anyway, then Bearer sets one casket in fire while Kane choke slams The Undertaker into the other when 'Taker goes after him. It is then noted that the casket set on fire is that of his father's and that The Undertaker was choke slammed into his mother's casket when Bearer tells The Undertaker to "rest in piece with [his] dead mama."

Michael Cole reports that Kane and Paul Bearer have left the arena and that the remains of Kane and The Undertaker's parents are in a more secure area, with The Undertaker with the remains in vigilence. Cole says that The Undertaker passed by a few moments ago, and that he will never forget the look on The Undertaker's face.

WWF owner Vince McMahon guests on commentary for the next match. He announces that he will be at ringside for part of Unforgiven, and guarantees that something catastrophic will happen Sunday night.

The bell rings during Dude Love vs. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman as Dude Love has Blackman in an abdominal stretch, and Dude Love is given the victory. Blackman confronts timekeeper Mark Yeaton, and throws him to the floor when he can't explain why the bell was rung. As WWF owner Vince McMahon checks on Mark Yeaton, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up, tosse Dude Love out of the ring, then beats up Vince McMahon before brawling with Dude Love. Vince gets in the ring and takes his jacket off, then Pat Patterson and Gerald Briscoe join Vince in the ring only to eat Stone Cold Stunners. Dude Love and Austin brawl again as Vince leaves and the show ends.
