WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is backstage with D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). She talks about how last night was a proud moment in the World Wrestling Federation when Triple H became the WWF Champion. However, the rest of D-Generation X could not defeat The Rock. She says DX is all about perfection and they can all strive to do better. She announces that she is taking care of Mick Foley, as she and Triple H have a warrant out for his arrest should he show up again. "Road Dogg" Jesse James does not have a match yet, but X-Pac has a chance to redeem himself against Big Show, and when X-Pac complains, Triple H tells him that if he has a problem with that, then he can beat Big Show's ass, as X-Pac is just as every bit as good as he is. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn is then placed in a 2-on-1 handicap match against The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw), and Triple H tells him that he is not the only one sacrificing for the betterment of D-Generation X. Meanwhile, Triple H has entered himself into a random lottery, where anybody can get a shot at him and the WWF Championship tonight. Stephanie says she is proud of Triple H, who says he is proud to be part of DX and the McMahon-Helmsley Era.

X-Pac beats Big Show by disqualification after Big Show shoves referee Mike Chioda. After the match, Big Show choke slams Chioda, then X-Pac hits Big Show in the back with a steel chair to no effect. Big Show punches the chair into X-Pac's face, and referees and officials run into the ring to restore order. That ends quickly when Big Show scares them all out of the ring and nearly tosses Mike Chioda out of the ring from under the bottom rope.

Backstage, Chris Jericho tells Chyna he does not want to be partners with Chyna and The Kat. Chyna says she doesn't want to be in this situation, either.

A police officer is seen in front of the arena, waiting for Mankind aka Mick Foley should he show up.

Backstage, Jericho tells Chyna to stay on the apron and look good while he does all the work.

The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) beat Chyna and Chris Jericho following a lack of teamwork between Chyna and Jericho, which leads to Chyna clotheslining Jericho at ringside. After the match, Chyna and The Kat walk off with the Intercontinental Championship.

X-Pac - as Mankind - is seen in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, talking to some parkgoers. Meanwhile, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H are seen watching this unfold, hoping the real Mick Foley gets arrested when a knock on the door is heard. Tori comes in, and asks to use the bathroom as all the bathrooms are occupied. Stephanie lets Tori use the nearby bathroom.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James talks to WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. He wants to know what his match says, but Stephanie says that is Triple H's decision. When he asks where Triple H is, Stephanie says he is in the bathroom. Road Dogg opens the bathroom door only to find Tori in there. He shuts the bathroom door as he gets angry at Stephanie as he leaves, as Stephanie says she forgot Tori was in there.

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) beat "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn by disqualification in a 2-on-1 handicap match when "Road Dogg" Jesse James gets involved. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn then brawl with The Acolytes in the crowd.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are watching the brawl in the crowd from backstage. As Triple H makes The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) for Royal Rumble official, Kane barges in, demanding a match with "that pervert" "Road Dogg" Jesse James. Stephanie tells Kane he's got it. Triple H asks what is up with Kane, and Stephanie says she doesn't know, but it will be one hell of a match.

Police officers are seen looking for Mick Foley outside of the arena.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James is seen backstage with Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. If "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn gets involved in his match, Billy Gunn will be fired. Road Dogg is then put in a match against Kane, and when Road Dogg confronts Stephanie and asks her if she told Kane what happened with him and Tori, Triple H tells him to back off. When Triple H asks Stephanie what Road Dogg is talking about after Road Dogg leaves, Stephanie says she has no idea.

Kane beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James despite X-Pac running towards the ring and distracting Kane, allowing Road Dogg to hit Kane with a low blow behind the referee's back.

The Rock is seen in his wrestling gear backstage. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley see him on the screen, and Stephanie asks who The Rock is facing tonight. Triple H tells her that The Rock's opponent is the up-until-now-undefeated Kurt Angle. Stephanie is not happy about that.

X-Pac as Mankind is on the Jaws ride at Universal Studios in Florida, talking about his accomplishments and how he is not scared of anything when he is scared by the mechanical shark that comes out of the water.

Before the next match, it is announced that The Rock's new book, The Rock Says..., is on sale now. The Rock talks about last week's Handicap You're Fired Match and how he came out on top against D-Generation (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), thus declaring this the millennium of The Rock and declaring The Rock "The People's Champion." He then asks if the people see, taste or smell what The Rock is cookin'. When Kurt Angle shows up, he says he stands before everyone tonight as an Olympic champion, an American hero, and a representative of America. He says he is a man who has gone and one battle in the Olympic games and came out a winner, and he is still undefeated in the World Wrestling Federation. He is a man of intensity, integrity and intelligence, and he feels that he should be "The People's Champion." He then calls The Rock "a CQ, smooth-talking smart-aleck." The Rock gets back on the microphone and tells Angle he should never have annoyed him, and while Angle is no doubt a true American hero, he could not help but realize he is wearing Olympic gold medals. Tonight, he asks Angle to take the medals, shine them up real nice with an all-American cloth and some all-American wax, put them down, do about thirteen jumping jacks, 37 sit-ups and some squats, then take the medals, turn them sideways and shove them straight up his Olympic ass.

Kurt Angle beats The Rock by disqualification. During the match, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman gets involved. The Rock attacks Blackman with his own Kendo stick, but also hits Kurt Angle with it, ending the match. After the match, The Rock hits Blackman with a Rock Bottom. When Kurt Angle celebrates, however, The Rock gets back in the ring and hits Angle with a spinebuster followed by The People's Elbow. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk about Kurt still being undefeated backstage.

We see a tumbler full of names for Triple H's match being spun, as well as cops stationed at certain points around the arena waiting for Mick Foley aka Mankind to show up.

Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) talk about the Christmas bonus that D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will give them if they win tonight.

Edge, Christian and Jeff Hardy beat Al Snow and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley). Al Snow attacks The Dudleys with Head after the match.

At Universal Studios, X-Pac, as Mankind, is in front of Woody Woopecker's Nuthouse Coaster. When he cannot get on the ride due to the rid being closed, he tries to bribe the security guard, but fails. He runs away when the security guard calls for security.

Test beats The Big Boss Man when Prince Albert inadvertently hits Boss Man with a Bicycle Kick after Test ducks it. After the match, Albert and Boss Man argue. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk about the finish of the match backstage, with Triple H calling Test's win an upset. Stephanie hopes nobody upsets Triple H in his match tonight, but Triple H says he is "the game" and that nobody will beat him tonight for he is that damn good.

The tumbler is still spinning backstage.

X-Pac as Mankind is in front of the Back to the Future ride, thinking it will actually take him back in time. Meanwhile, cops are seen near the backstage entrance to the arena.

Before the next match, Triple H tells WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley that The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are being rewarded for their efforts against The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) last week with their first tag team win when Stephanie asks why the Posse are in the ring.

Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki) beat The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) when Rodney inadvertently takes out Pete Gas. After the match, Triple H leaves with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon Helmsley for his match.

The WWF locker room is in a large room backstage. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley announces that one of the people in the room will have the opportunity to face Triple H, as there has never been a champion with such honor and dignity to defend the WWF Championship in a random lottery. Everyone is entered, but only one will win, and Triple H will defend against all comers as he is a champion with spirit and pride, and she is honored to be his wife. She says Triple H is not only her champion, but everyone's champion, and introduces Triple H into the room. He hopes everyone is proud to have him as WWF Champion, and is proud to be their WWF Champion. He ses this as an opportunity to be a leader and role model for everyone in the ring, for when he retires, someone can take his place and become the WWF CHampion and leader to everyone in the WWF. He wants that person to take notice to what they are about to do, as never has a champion gone teo the lengths to defend the title in a random drawing where anybody can have a chance to be champion. Stephanie draws a name, and that name is Andre the Giant, who is obviously not here. Stephanie draws another name, and that name is The Fabulous Moolah. He says the match could be one for the ages, but he wants a more serious competitor. He asks Howard Finkel to draw a name, but he knocks the tumbler over. He picks up a random name, and that name is Rikishi. Everyone cheers for Rikishi as Triple H and Stephanie get angry with Howard Finkel.

X-Pac - as Mankind - comes out of the Back to the Future ride only to meet the real Mankind. The real deal beats the faker up for talking about his wife and family, then tells him "Have a nice day...you son of a bitch!"

WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley guests on commentary for the next match.

Rikishi beats Triple H by disqualification. During the match, the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) watch the match from backstage. Later on, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley hands Triple H a steel chair, then distracts referee Tim White as Triple H hits Rikishi with the steel chair. Rikishi gets his shoulder up afterwards, and Stephanie hands Triple H the WWF Championship to use as a weapon. Triple H hits Rikishi with the title, and the match is over. Rikishi still manages to get up, and Triple H grabs a steel chair outside of the ring and hits him in the guit with it before hitting him in the back. Referees and officials get in the ring to restore order and keep Rikishi away from Triple H. Too Cool (Grandmaster Saxay and Scotty 2 Hotty) show up and celebrate with Rikishi afterwards to end the show. Triple H retains the WWF Championship.

Raw Is Owen - Raw recap for May 24, 1999

RAW

WWF Superstars, officials, referees, ring announcers, backstage staff and the McMahon family - some of whom are wearing black armbands with "OWEN" or "OH" in white on them (and in Goldust's case, around his neck) - line up towards the ring to pay tribute to Owen Hart. Ring announcer Howard Finkel asks the audience to please rise and join everyone as the bell is tolled ten times in tribute to Owen Hart. (The only two people who are noticeably absent are Kane and The Undertaker, the latter of whom flew to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to see Owen's brother and personal friend Bret "The Hit Man" Hart.) A video tribute to Owen is played on the TitanTron. Jim Ross announces that tonight will be a tribute to the life of Owen Hart. In addition to ten unique matches (with no angles behind them and with all Superstars involved voluntarily working in the ring that night), we will hear very real sentiments from Owen Hart's fellow WWF Superstars. (In addition, all storylines are cancelled for the week).
We hear from Mick Foley, otherwise known as Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack. Mick says that Owen was his son Dewey's favorite wrestler, and for the first few years of his life, Dewey had long hair because of it. One day, his son Dewey was so proud as he looked like Owen Hart. Dewey and his sister Nicole also chanted "Nugget!" in the car for no reason, not knowing that it was a negative chant. Mick is proud that his son Dewey wanted to be like Owen, and says that if he could grow up to be a man like Owen, he would be even prouder. He says Owen was "the nicest, funniest person he has ever met, and talked about his family warmly and with love and affection. He says there is a special place in Heaven for Owen, and that the locker room will love and miss him.

Bradshaw says Owen Hart took a lot of kidding and ribbing from the guys in the back about how cheap he was on the road and how much money he saved, saying he saved in a month what most of the locker room spent in a few days. He says he did it because he wanted to retire early and spend time with his children. He is sad that his kids will never get to grow up with a father like Owen, and that they realize nothing can replace the loss of a father, especially one as good as Owen, and that they will realize how good a father they ahd. He says Owen was a terrific guy, and while he will not miss him as much as his family will, he will miss him a lot.

Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett says for the record that Owen Hart was never a nugget. It is also announced on commentary that memorial tributes to Owen Hart may be made directly to: The Alberta Children's Hospital, 1820 Richmond Road S.W., Calgary, Alberta, T2T 5C7. (The Alberta Children's Hospital was Owen's favorite charity.)

Jeff Jarrett beats Test with a reverse Russian leg sweep into a Sharpshooter following the distraction - and slap - by Debra from the apron. During the match, it is announced the rest of the week's live events starting Wednesday in Peoria, Illinois and ending Sunday in Ottawa City, Ottawa, Canada are cancelled in Owen Hart's memory.

"Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry reads a poem dedicated to Owen Hart, breaking down in emotion halfway through.

Droz says he has not been in the wrestling business for very long and that he has only known Owen Hart for a year to a year-and-a-half, and in that time period, he was the one person who could walk into a locker room when things were not going right and liven everyone up. He mentions the little things he would do to entertain people and says that he would go out of his way to put himself down and pull a prank on somebody. He says Owen was one of the best guys around who could always lighten up the mood. He talks about an autograph session in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he temporarily filled in for Jeff Jarrett and Owen interacted with the fans. He says that Owen loved the ring, and says that he feels for his family, hoping they can look back, remember what kind of person he was, and never look back. He knows he won't.

X-Pac and Kane beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge).

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna think that Owen Hart would not be happy if he were to look down on them now, for he was constantly trying to get a laugh out of everybody and making people cry. Chyna calls Owen one of the truest, most honest, faithful guys that she knew and says he gave everyone a lot of happiness of memories. Chyna talks about how her hair would be extended completely outwards when she woke up, and how Owen would come to the building and try to get his hair to look like that. She says that Owen would always get people to laugh somehow, and says that if Owen were to hear everybody now, he would know he is loved and that he means an awful lot to everyone. Triple H says that in a business where you often see the worst of everything and the worst of everybody's personalities, everyone is a family is everyone is around each other at both their best and worst. He says that Owen was always at his best and was always up. He says that Owen was never a piece of trash and was always there for everybody to make them laugh and also make them mad. He also says Owen was the only one to have the balls to schoolboy him and not let him out at Royal Rumble. He says that Owen made him laugh more than anyone else in the locker room, and also says that Owen loved his family, whom he talked about all the time. He says that Owen was one of the guys who truly lived for them and was upfront about that. He says that always have a place in his heart, and that he will always be his friend. He says he love Owen and will never forget him.

WWF official Dave Hebner says he has been in WWF for 16 years and known Owen for 10. He says that Owen was that special person who could always make you smile and make sure you had a good day. He talks about how Owen cared for everybody, and would take out pictures, head to the back of the building, and sign them for the kids. He mentions that Owen was a big family man who loved his wife and two children to death, and says that he was one of the best. He talks about how he had fun with him, and how Owen tied his shoes together when he went down for the count. He says that Owen loved to play around, and that Owen's loss was a loss of one of the best.

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki, who is known as Funaki at this point). During the match, it is announced that Martha Hart, Owen Hart's wife, would like to extend her gratitude to Owen Hart's fans and friends for their support during this time.

Bruce Prichard says Owen Hart will be remembered as a great practical joker as well as a tremendous performer in the ring who provided people numerous hours of entertainment in and out of the ring, and he will always remember Owen for being a great friend and a wonderful father and husband to his wife and kids. He says he will miss him very much.

Dustin Runnels mentions some memories of Owen Hart. He says that Owen loved his family tremendously. He also talks about how every time he would come to Kansas City, Harley Race would invite all the guys over for chili and barbecue. One time, Harley cooked an entire pot of chili, and as he checked on the barbecue, Owen took a whole bottle of hot sauce and dumped it all in the chili. Not surprisingly, everyone's mouths were on fire, Owen was laughing and Harley Race was mad. Harley Race then took a stun gun and went after Owen. He says that Owen was well known for his practical jokes, and says he will be missed and is in a better place.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Hardcore Holly with the ankle lock.

Faarooq says it is hard to put in words, but says that when he leaves his family at home, the locker room is his family away from his family. They all love each other, and they loved Owen Hart, and Owen knew it. It hurts a lot knowing Owen Hart is gone.

Test talks about a moment from a few months ago when they went to Chicago, Illinois to do a double shot (two live shows in one day) and the weather was so bad that the first show was cancelled. The office had told everyone to sit tight and that they would do the show later that night. At the hotel room, the phone rang, and he picked it up. At the other end was the guy who ran the arena where the show would take place, and that he was told that Test was the go-to guy to see whether the show would go on or not. Test kept telling him he had to talk to the office, as he was not the guy to talk to, but everyone said they were cancelling and that he was the last man to talk to, and wanted to know what he thought was happening. After a few times of telling him he didn't think much of it and that he was not the guy to talk to, the guy on the other end said "I'll tell the guys that Test said to cancel the show." Test said not to bring his name into it, and hung up. He just now found out that Owen was the guy on the other end. As funny as it was, it was a hard way to find out. All his memories of Owen are good, and he will never forget them. He thanks Owen for them all.

Before the next match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn says that if you're not down with Owen Hart, he's got two words for ya: Suck it.

WAR ZONE

Mankind beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn with the Mandible Claw when Gunn goes outside of the ring for a steel chair only for Mankind to catch him with the Mandible Claw before he can get back in the ring with it. During the match, Jim Ross talks about how Owen Hart hid his hat for three straight television tapings, and how he always saw Owen Hart in his wrestling gear with his hat. After the match, Mankind says "Owen, this one's for you! Woooooo!"

Jeff Jarrett says that in this business, you have a lot of acquaintances and very few friends. He calls Owen Hart one of those friends, and says there are a lot of funny stories regarding his personalities and some of the crazy things he used to do, and has told his wife and his daughter that he spends more time with Owen than he does with them, and goes on to say that Owen has said the same thing about his family. Now that Owen is gone, one tends to look at it almost selfishly, as he does not have Owen with him anymore. He knows Owen is in a better place, laughing and cutting up. When he thinks about Owen's life, he thinks about integrity, for the wrestling business is cold, callous, selfish, self-serving, unrealistic and a fantasy world, but Owen was real and a man's man. His wife and kids were three of the luckiest people in the world because he loved them more than anyone else in the world, which is why Owen did what he did to provide for them, and he did it with integrity. He says that integrity in the wrestling business is few and far between, and while not a good thing to know, it is the truth. Outside all the laughs, the fans get to see Owen for 15 minutes, but when you see him 24 hours a day for ten to twelve days at a time, he is one of the guys that made it fun and made coming to work entertaining off-camera, which is just as important as on-camera. Jarrett says that wrestling films will be the one thing Owen's son Oje and daughter Athena will have to fall back on to see what their dad was like, but he promised himself as the years go by to let them really know what a great man their father was.

Edge says Owen was the leader of a band of merry Canadians known as "The Canadian Mafia." To him, Owen was a guru who helped him on the road when it came to a match or traveling, but what he remembers most is Owen's ability to make anybody laugh. When he thinks of Owen, he smiles. Today, it is a little bit tough, but he looks back at some of the things Owen did and had the pleasure Owen in what proved to be his last match, a tag team match between him and Christian and the team of Owen and Jeff Jarrett. He knew Owen was in a good mood that night, since he came out with the blue-and-white boots and the silver, white and red outfit on with messed-up hair and a goofy grin on his face. He was also wearing the "It's time for a change!" T-shirt as he went to the corner and started posing and flexing. They got into the match, and he had Owen in an arm bar. Owen kipped up, wound up and gave him a big chop to the back with a "Hi-yah!" which knocked him down. They had a good time that night, and it was Owen's last match. He says it is nice to look back on things like that, and says that Owen made everyone laugh and that he will be sorely missed. Edge then talks about how he grew up watching Owen, and how he got to wrestle him in television and pay-per-views as well as all over the world as he also traveled with him. He wishes his family godspeed and says the locker room will miss him.

D'Lo Brown and "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry beats The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) after D'Lo Brown dodges a big boot meant for him, which ends up hitting Faarooq in the face, allowing D'Lo to get the schoolboy pin on Bradshaw. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler talks about a time at the airport where he, Owen Hart and Jack Lanza watched "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and Bradshaw fight in baggage claim, and how Owen Hart had a laugh about it. It is also mentioned that Owen's funeral will be one week from today at 11 AM in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with full details on WWF.com.

Pat Patterson says that with 40 years in the business, he has seen a lot of wrestlers, and Owen Hart was very special. Owen, in his estimation, was one of the best performers inside the ring. He goes on to say that not only was he good in the ring, but that he was a great person out of it, as he was great to be with. He says he will be missed by people all over the world, and that after all his time in the business and everywhere he has ever been, there has never been anyone quite like Owen. He thanks Owen for being the person he was, and says he will miss him.

Hardcore Holly remembers Owen as the guy who made you laugh regardless of what mood you were in. He also says he was "a big ribber," playing harmless pranks on everyone, including himself, just to get a laugh out of everybody. The one thing that sticks out in his mind is something he did for him three years ago in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, where he volunteered to put him over (let him win) in the ring. He says Owen never had any enemies, and was the guy you always wanted to be around. He admits that Owen was aggravating at times, but he knew how to make you laugh. He says Owen may be gone, but he is not forgotten at all, and he will always be remembered.

Before the next match, "Road Dogg" Jesse James says everybody knows who he is and that it's all about Owen Hart tonight. When the match begins, Godfather proposes that instead of having their match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, they go downtown in St. Louis, Missouri and blaze it up all night long. Road Dogg proposes they blaze one up and "tell some Owen stories." Both men leave along with the hos.

Paul Bearer says of Owen Hart: "He will not grow old like we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary him, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember him. Goodbye, old buddy."

X-Pac says that everyone will agree that Owen Hart is one of the funniest guys who ever walked the face of the earth, and is definitely one of the funniest guys he has ever met. He says that Owen had a different sense of humor, but he was so funny. In the ring, he was one of the best ever and one of his favorite guys to work with. He says that everyone walked in today and everybody was crying as soon as they got in, and it feels like a nightmare as it is unbelievable he is gone. He knows that he and everyone else in the locker room will miss him, and says a prayer for his wife and two children. He goes on to say that Owen Hart is one of the best guys he ever met in his life, and that he will miss him.

King of the Ring will take place June 27th, live on pay-per-view!

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Al Snow.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James says it's a little soon to ask him about Owen Hart, as he only got to really know him for the last six months of his life and learned that he was a lot like him. He knows he has two children, and that he was a good man who took part in the business to provide for his family. He says Owen is in a better place, and he will be missed. He says he will pray for his family.

Gerald Brisco says he always looked at Owen Hart with a lot of respect, and one of the reasons he looked at Owen was that he could relate to him, having also been the younger brother of a wrestling superstar and knowing the drive within Owen's heart to be an outstanding wrestler and give everything that he could for the fans. Looking back at Owen's career, he says that he did just that every night and never cut anything short. He says that Owen did it all for his friends, fans and family, and says he remembers him as a man who never cut corners. He says that Owen was a guy that you could have a laugh with it, but when it came time to get in the ring, Owen was able to do all the could to make the fans happy. He says Owen will always be remembered for that, and thanks him for those memories.

Big Show beats Goldust and The Blue Meanie in a 2-on-1 handicap match. (The match is supposed to be Big Show vs. Goldust, but when Goldust pushes The Blue Meanie into Big Show, it becomes a handicap match.)

As she says a few words for Owen Hart so that his children can see this message when they get older, Debra says that in the short time she has been in the WWF and traveled and worked with Owen, she has to admit that the world has lost a really great person and just wishes that all the people could have seen how funny he was. Whether it was a good day or a bad day, he knew how to make people laugh. She talks about the autograph sessions that they did together, and says Owen would always kid around. She says that people take others for granted because they are always around them, and remembers the last time she talked to him was backstage at Over The Edge, when she complained about her shorts. Owen said "maybe you should change" before he went out to the ring, and it ended up being the last time she talked to him. She looked at the schedule of her autograph sessions that she would have done with Owen Hart this week, and realized that life is precious and that people should not be taken for granted. She says that Owen has touched her life and brightened her day, and looks back on all the work they did together, especially with The Blue Blazer character. She says she will definitely miss Owen, and that she loved him as a friend and she cannot believe he is gone, as she is always looking for him. She admits it will be hard to walk out to the ring with Jeff Jarrett, especially at the house shows, since Owen will not be there anymore making all sorts of jokes and making them laugh. She admits she will miss Owen a lot, and wants to let his family know that he was a great guy and that she was honored to work with him all this time. She loves Owen, and says he will always be in his memories.

Shane McMahon says Owen Hart was always the prankster. If you did one to him, he always got one back on you. He remembers a time when he and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart were in Chicago, Illinois about ten years ago. He and Bret were at the bar, and Owen, who was The Blue Blazer at the time, went upstairs to get some sleep. He and Bret were hanging out and they decided to "wake up the Blazer," as Bret would say. They went upstairs and tackled him as he was asleep. The next morning, Bret's boots were missing and Shane's things were in the shower. Shane goes on to say that the relationship between the McMahon family and the Hart family goes back many years, and says Owen will be truly missed.

Before the next match, Val Venis tells the ladies to rest assured that he will have his time in the sun, but tonight, everyone is here to celebrate Owen Hart. When The Rock shows up, he says that it with great pride that he can come to the ring tonight and entertain in the name of Owen Hart, and that Owen would want him to kick some roody-poo candy ass. He says that this is Owen's night, and that he loved him like no other. He goes on to dedicates The People's Elbow to Owen tonight.

The Rock quickly beats Val Venis.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He grab two beers, then raises and drinks one for Owen, whose image is on the TitanTron and is shown-on screen to end the episode.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for October 11, 1998

Jacqueline retains the WWF Women's Championship against Starla Saxton. After the match, Jacqueline conitiues to attack Starla Saxton until Sable gets in the ring and beats up Jacqueline, forcing her to retreat.

Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Men's Teioh, Dick Togo) beat The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) after Funaki puts Teioh on top of Taylor following a top rope elbow drop as the referee is pre-occupied. After the match, Too Much and The Hardy Boyz point fingers at each other over who cost them the match, and this starts a brawl between the two teams that is quickly broken up by referees.

Vader beats Edge. (This ends up being Vader's last match in WWF for several years, as he is released from his contract shortly after this match.)

Al Snow beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock by disqualification when Al Snow grabs the bottom rope and Shamrock refuses to let go of the ankle lock. After the match, 2 Cold Scorpio gets in the ring, but Shamorck easily takes him down and goes back to putting the ankle lock on Al Snow. Mankind then gets in the ring with a steel chair, but Shamrock sees him coming and gets away.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews "Road Dogg" Jesse James, who says that he can give him "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn's personal information if he wants to know where he is that badly. As for "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, he has a little payback in the form of a braid-headed freak who is 250 lbs. of braid-headed badness, and tonight, he is kicking his ass.

We see a vignette for Steven Regal - a real man's man - who cuts his own oranges with a knife and squeezes the juice out.

Jeff Jarrett beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James by disqualification after Road Dogg hits Jarrett in the head with his guitar. After the match, Road Dogg shows no remorse over his actions and even does his best Chuck Berry impression in a brief, post-match celebration.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats D'Lo Brown, then hits "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry with a Stone Cold Stunner when he runs into the ring after the match.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for October 10, 1998

Before the next match, Mr. Yamaguchi-san says WWF has been pushing Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Men's Teioh, Dick Togo) to split up, and that they have chosen Sho Funaki as the #1 contender for Taka Michinoku's WWF Light Heavyweight Championship. He says that Kaientai will not split up, as they grew up together and will always be together.

Taka Michinoku retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Sho Funaki. After the match, Taka and Funaki go at it again, and the rest of Kaientai (Men's Teioh, Dick Togo, Mr. Yamaguchi-San) have to force them to shake hands.

Tiger Ali Singh and Babu show up. Singh says that over the past several weeks, he has accomplished his mission and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no limit for how low Americans will go to earn a dollar. He says that no task has been too degrading or too vulgar for the American people. As he speaks, Babu falls over, and Singh stomps on him for interrupting him before apologizing for Babu being deathly ill from a sinus infection. This gives Singh the idea to pay any American $500 to come to the ring and eat a booger from Babu's finger. Babu picks a man in a WWF Attitude shirt, and Babu sticks his finger in his nose to look for a booger, and pulls one out. The man eats the booger and swallows it, and is promptly paid $500.

Sable guest stars on Pacific Blue tomorrow night after Sunday Night Heat!

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) by disqualification after Brian Christopher attacks referee Jack Doan to stop a pinfall attempt.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for September 27, 1998

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson shows up as the steel cage is coming halfway down to start tonight's show. Vince says he comes forward to apologize to three WWF Superstars who fought their hearts out last Monday night on Raw: "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, The Rock and Mankind. He says that the three of them competed to see who would become #1 contender for the WWF Championship; unfortunately, there was no winner due to the interference of The Undertaker and Kane. He said that night that he would not be responsible for the actions of The Undertaker and Kane, and he remains steadfast as he was not responsible. However, some are saying that The Rock, Mankind and Shamrock lived up to their end of the bargain while he did not; therefore, those three same individuals will compete in a second Triple Threat Match tonight at Breakdown. However, it will be held in a steel cage to ensure there is no outside interference so there can be a definite winner at #1 contender for the WWF Championship. He also announces that if anyone interferes in the Triple Threat Match for the WWF Championship between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Kane, he will order the match stopped and Austin will be stripped of the WWF Championship. After saying that the only thing better than one Triple Threat Match at the pay-per-view is having two, Vince says that his only regret is that the pay-per-view has to take place in Canada. He then guarantees the fans that tonight, Austin will not leave the ring as WWF Champion.

Backstage, Michael Cole awaits the arrival of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for an interview.

Golga beats Mosh, then Giant Silva and Kurrgan come out on top in a post-match brawl against The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh).

Michael Cole reports backstage that "Triple H" Hunter Hearstl Helmsley has been attacked in his dressing room while X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James rush in to assist.

Backstage, Michael Cole reports that someone has attacked "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley in the knee with a lead pipe. X-Pac pushes Michael Cole out of the dressing room.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up, even though he is scheduled to face the now-injured "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley later tonight at Breakdown. After ordering ring announcer Tony Chimel out of the ring, he says he has heard that Triple H has gotten himself hurt and will be able to wrestle him tonight. He then says he came out tonight to wrestle and take the WWF Intercontinental Championship for his own while impressing all of his fans and proving he is deserving of tonight's title shot. He says that he is here to impress his mother as well as Chyna, whom he calls his girlfriend. Henry says the fans should be just as mad as he is that Triple H is not in this ring, then calls Triple H a coward and says he is about to head home. Suddenly, WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up and says he can help Henry and Henry can help him. He gives Henry a non-title match against another champion, and he also wants to know to know if the steel cage above the ring is reinforced enough. He says that at 400 lbs., Mark Henry can put the steel cage above the ring tonight to the test. Vince then proposes a non-title match against another champion prior to Breakdown, and while Henry says he did not come here to wrestle in a cage, Vince changes his mind when he tells him that his match is against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Backstage, Michael Cole reports that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is in the building and that he will interview him after the next match. Meanwhile, "The World's Most Dangeorus Man" Ken Shamrock, The Rock and Mankind learn about their Triple Threat Matvh tonight from officials in the background.

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat Kaientai (Men's Teioh and Sho Funaki) in their Sunday Night Heat debut after Men's Teioh inadvertently hits Sho Funaki with the Japanese flag as Yamaguchi-san distracts the referee.

We see footage from earlier today where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was presented with the key to the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada as well as a street named "Stone Cold Way" after him.

Backstage, Michael Cole tries to interview "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but finds out his dressing room is empty aside from his belongings.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Before the match, it is announced that if X-Pac and/or "Road Dogg" Jesse James interfere in the match, their pay-per-view matches will not happen and they will not be able to get his revenge against "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. After the match, Paul Ellering and D.O.A. attack Billy Gunn, and X-Pac and Road Dogg make the save only to be ambushed by Jarrett and Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight). Referees and officials have to get in the ring to restore order.

The Undertaker and Kane show up with WWF owner Vince McMahon before "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry vs. "Stone Cold" Steve AUstin can take place. The cage lowers and surrounds the ring as Vince, The Undertaker and Kane make their way to it, and Vince checks to see how sturdy the cage is. Henry's entrance music plays, but fails to show, much to the confusion of Vince. It is then revealed that Chyna is attacking Henry outside of the arena, and referees and officials have to keep them apart. Henry heads to the ring and referees hold Chyna back, but Chyna overpowers them and hits Henry in the back with a pipe before pressing Henry's face to her rear end and telling her to kiss it. All of a sudden, one of the two men working on the cage pushes the other out of the cage, then locks the door and reveals himself to be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He beats up Vince, then The Undertaker and Kane climb up the cage while Austin climbs out.

WWF owner Vince McMahon tells the fans who have gotten enjoyment at what "Stone Cold" Steve Austin did to him earlier that he who laughs last laughs loudest, and that tomorrow night on Raw, he will be holding the WWF Championship as he guarantees that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will not leave the arena with the WWF Championship in his hands tonight.

Edge beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after Jarrett is caught hitting Edge in the head with a guitar. Mark Canterbury then leaves a card on top of Edge reading "Southern Justice" and "Problem Solvers."

Bradshaw beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov after using the ropes for leverage. When Droz complains to referee Jack Doan, Bradshaw nails Droz with a clothesline.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero beats Miguel Perez.

Michael Cole interviews The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Gorga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva, Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope). Luna says that tonight, the entire world is going to learn that The Oddities aren't just a bunch of pretty faces. Violent J says he and Shaggy 2 Dope are not wrestlers, but they know it can get rough around here, and that he'll ride a bike up and down the backs of The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) if they have to.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat The Oddities (Golga and Kurrgan) by disqualification. During the match, Golga accidentally breaks the top rope, and The D.O.A. use it as a weapon. The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) try to stop it, but they get attacked. The D.O.A. are able to quickly get away. (Yet again, The Oddities' entrance is excised on the WWE Network.)

WAR ZONE

"The Rock" Rocky Maivia shows up. He addresses the Ladder Match against "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental title at SummerSlam, and says he did to him what he said he was going to do. As he laid on his back and watched Triple H take the Intercontinental title, he realized that even though Triple H took the title, he will always be "The People's Champ." He then says that there a lot of people in the WWF who don't know their roles, and two of these people in particular are The Undertaker and Kane. Last week, when they showed up, he knew he was going to get his ass whupped, and tells Kane that for one second that he will get away with choke slamming him, he will take his big right hand, raise The People's Eyebrow and lay the smackdown on him.

The Lion's Den match between Owen Hart and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock from SummerSlam is replayed.

Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) beat Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor).

Vader beats Dustin Runnels. During the match, Val Venis walks around in the crowd carrying a sign simply reading "I have come." At one point, this distracts Runnels, who is wearing a T-shirt with the words "He is coming back" on the back.

Al Snow and Head come out of the crowd and get in the ring. Snow says "What does everybody want?", "What does everybody need?" and "What does everybody love?" as the crowd chants "Head!" (These three questions would be sampled for his WWF entrance theme.) Snow says he and Head will not leave the ring until they see a WWF official. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter show up, then Snow says the word of the day is "stooge" before asking the crowd to say the word "stooge" and introducing the crowd to "The Stooge Is Right." Snow lets Slaughter know that since everyone loves a little Head, the crowd has been chosen as the new WWF Commissioner. Slaughter tells Snow and Head to leave the ring. Snow tells Brisco he and Head have been reinstated, but Brisco tells him to leave the ring. SNow asks Patterson where the dressing room is, but Patterson tells him to leave the ring or he is going to jail. Snow then decides to give the three of them a parting gift: a little Head. Snow hits Patterson in the groin with Head and then runs back into the crowd, out of the grasp of Slaughter and Brisco.

Michael Cole interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), who are confused about the fact that this is Raw Saturday Night and not Shotgun Saturday Night. Thrasher says he will keep "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry in the corner and feed himi bananas, while Mosh will beat up D'Lo Brown. Mosh does not understand why D'Lo is WWF European Champion when he grew up right by them in South Jersey.

The Nation (D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) by disqualification after Chyna rushes into the ring and attacks Mark Henry. Multiple referees have to keep both Chyna and Mark Henry separated, but Chyna is able to get her hands on Mark Henry again and also knock down a few referees. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) have to calm Chyna down, and Mark Henry is left with a bloody nose.

Before the next match, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley announces that at SummerSlam D-Generation X (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) came, saw and kicked their asses.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku). Chyna knocks out Sho Funaki and Yamaguchi-san after the match, and the show ends with a young woman flashing her panties to DX.

Jim Ross introduces Bart Gunn to the ring as part of a celebratory award presentation. Jim Ross gives him giant golden boxing gloves for his Brawl For All win, then Bart Gunn says that his victory was no fluke. He says that he had waited eight long months for an opportunity to come to his door, and he realized that he had to do the knocking. He did just that and knocked out three men to get to this point, and he tells WWF owner Vince McMahon that he will have to start taking notice of him. If there is anything that he needs to do to prove himself to anyone in the back, he will issue an open challenge to anybody who wants to face him in a Brawl For All-style match, and this challenge is not only for the locker room, but for the rest of the world.

We hear from The Rock, who says that he did what he set out to do: climb "The People's Ladder" rung by rung and grab. He then says if it weren't for Chyna, he would have won it. He says "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley can enjoy his reign and he hopes that it is a great one, but there is only one People's Champion. As time goes on, he proves day in and day out that he is The People's Champion, The People's Choice and the best damn champion there ever was. We then hear from Triple H and Chyna. Triple H says that the obvious symbolism here is that D-Generation X (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are on top of the world. Triple H says that Sunday night was an all-time classic and that The Rock gave him all that he had, but when all was said and done, he took the WWF Intercontinental Championship and placed it back around his waist. There is just one thing he wants to know from The Rock after that: "Who's your daddy, big man?"

Dustin Runnels beats Lance Diamond. After the match, Runnels helps Lance Diamond up, but Diamond is surprised by this and gets out of the ring.

We see footage from last week of a WWF meet and greet Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in New York City as well as a tag of war competition between the WWF Superstars, the local fire department and the local police department.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 17, 1998

RAW

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin tries to force his way into WWF owner Vince McMahon's office backstage.

The show starts with a hearse backing up into the arena. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes out of the driver's seat, and gets in the ring to tell WWF owner Vince McMahon to either get in the ring or he'll sit there and drink about 23 more beers until he does. Pat Patterson shows up, followed by Gerald Brisco, followed by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. It is then and only then after Austin asks someone to fetch him another beer than Vince shows up. As Vince heads to the ring, it is announced that Vince McMahon will be live on America On-Line this Thursday night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central (Keyword: WWF). Austin tells Vince he must be happy that he and The Undertaker are no longer tag team champs, but Vince says "not really." Austin says Vince is so full of crap it's unreal, but that is okay with him because he and The Undertaker are no longer "bound together" due to tag team gold, as he does not trust or depend on anybody. As for The Undertaker saying he pissed him off, Austin says he was "born pissed off." As for "having one foot in the grave," he plans to pull the foot out of the grave and put it in The Undertaker's ass to let him know how SummerSlam will be like before he beats him and stuffs him in the hearse. Austin threatens to stuff Vince in the hearse if he gets in his way, and chauffeur the three of them down the highway to Hell that is SummerSlam.

The rest of The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are ejected from ringside before the next match.

Dan "The Beast" Severn beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Owen Hart in a Triple Threat Match by choking Shamrock out as Owen kicks as Shamrock's abdomen. Owen and Severn continue to beat up Shamrock, but "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up, attacks Owen and stares down Severn before checking on Shamrock. Severn then chokes out Blackman from behind, and Owen then attacks Blackman. Referees and officials have to rush in to restore order. Severn the does a double high-five with Owen Hart before leaving. Shamrock then snaps, and Blackman tells Shamrock he came in to save him. Shamrock calms down a little bit, then threatens to knock fifty pounds off WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter after he says something to him.

Bart Gunn beats "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa by knockout in the third round to continue to the finals of the Brawl For All Tournament. Before the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls President Bill Clinton (or in this case, an impersonator), who says that he "likes it Raw" and that "even Monica knows that." The Godfather considers giving Bart Gunn a choice to either fight him or spend a night with his hoes, but then decides against it and says he's going to kick his ass. After the match, Gunn from Jim Ross, to which Jim Ross replies "Nothing's given; you've earned it."

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock are seen tearing things up backstage while looking for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, while Gangrel - a man with a gothic, vampiric gimmick - is seen backstage waiting for his debut, which is next.

Michael Cole announces that Owen Hart's trainer for his Lion's Den Match against "The World's Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is none other than Dan "The Beast" Severn. Owen and Severn have already left the building, but Shamorck and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman will make a statement concerning this later tonight.

Gangrel beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher in his Raw debut. Edge is seen in the crowd, paying close attention to Gangrel as he makes his entrance, which involved Gangrel coming out through a ring of fire in the stage and drinking blood from a goblet before spitting it out.

Michael Cole interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who says that there had better be two hospital beds for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, as he will pop every bone in their bodies. He then threatens to do the same to Michael Cole if he does not leave, before he and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman trash the backstage set.

Cameras are trained on the entrance to the arena as commentary waits on The Undertaker to arrive.

Michael Cole interviews D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) concerning their Street Fight with The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). Before they can say anything, The Nation shows up and both sides brawl backstage. Referees and officials are quickly in place to try to stop the carnage.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat Faarooq and Scorpio. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews "President Bill Clinton," who says that despite all the scandals, his job is getting done. After the commercial break, the Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) starts proper.

The Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) ends in chaos. During the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) get involved, attacking both X-Pac and "Road Dog" Jesse James as Jarrett cuts some of X-Pac's hair. Triple H is ganged up on by The Nation and even has his mouth busted open.

Tiger Ali Singh and Abu show up. Singh makes fun of America again, saying that the people of India are in way better condition than the people of America. We see footage of Abu training heavily, and we see that Abu is still caked in sweat from being unable to bathe himself afterward. Tiger Ali Singh then offers $500 cash to anyone who is willing to lock Abu's unwashed feet. Abu picks a person out of the audience, and Abu removes one of his socks so that he will lick the toe jam between Abu's toes, which the young man is all too eager to do. He gets his $500 and quickly leaves after showing it off on camera.

The arm wrestling contest between Sable and Jacqueline ends in controversy. Before the contest, Sable shows up with Jacqueline's bikini contest trophy and says that if she wants it back, to come and get it. During the arm wrestling contest, Jacqueline pushes the table onto Sable, and smashes the bikini contest trophy on Sable's back. "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up, but The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) rush in and both Mero and Jacqueline flee. The Oddities check on Sable and help her up and to the back.

Michael Cole interviews Val Venis, who wants to run the gauntlet against Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) as he has been conditioned to run all night along, and if he wins, he gets five minutes with Yamaguchi-san during which he will show him what it's like to be severed at the head.

On Droz's World, Darren "Puke" Drozdov talks about his tattoos and body piercings.. We then see footage of some guy in a production room who says "anyone who yaks is an okay person in my book."

Bradshaw beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov to continue to the finals of the Brawl For ALl Tournament.

It is announced that Al Snow is back in the World Wrestling Federation. We then see Al Snow talking to Head, who is on the floor drunk. Al Snow has to take the keys to the car from Head, who is close to losing his license.

Backstage, an angry Sable heads to the ring.

Dustin Runnels says that according to the Bible, your body is a temple, and that we should be careful what we put into it. He asks wy one should poison their mind. He suggest that instead of watching the next segment, one should curl up with a good book like Oliver Twist, Ivanhoe, or his personal favorite, the New Testament. He says the viewer will be glad they did, and that He is coming back. We then see the "The preceding was sponsored by the Evangelists Against Television, Movies & Entertainment" message.

Sable shows up, and calls Jacqueline out so they can fight. Jacqueline is on the TitanTron, saying she wasn't born yesterday and that if they want to fight, they'll do it at SummerSlam in a mixed tag team match. The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silvan) then storm "Marvelous" Marc Mero's locker room and go after Mero and Jacqueline.

Michael Cole announces that The Undertaker has made it to the arena, and that it will not take long for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to find him. In case the two men go at it, cameras will be backstage to capture the action.

Before the next match, Val Venis shows up with a pink Super Soaker. It is announced that Val Venis will show up on Code Red at WWF.com. Val Venis then tells the ladies that they can forget about trying to blackmail him, because even though he is not a screamer -unlike Bill Clinton - after he leaves his mark, he always "Shouts it out" before imitating the act of squirting a spray bottle. When Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) shows up, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up and says only one man can be in or around the ring at any one time.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku) beat Val Venis in a Gauntlet Match after Taka hits the Michinoku Driver on Val Venis. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls "Bill Clinton," who says that he did not have any improper relationships with Monica Lewinsky and that it was "just good sex." After the match, Kaientai beat up and mock Val Venis, and also hold Venis down as Mrs. Yamaguchi slaps Venis. Venis then pulls out his pink Super Soaker and soaks everyone in the ring, including Mrs. Yamaguchi-san.

The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin confront each other in the ring. It is then revealed that Kane is in the ring with Austin, not The Undertaker, and is wearing The Undertaker's robe and clothes. Kane attacks Austin, and both men brawl in and out of the ring and into the crowd until Austin tosses Kane into the hearse and closes the back door. Austin tries to get in the hearse, but finds out that the door is locked and that the real Undertaker is in the driver's seat. The Undertaker drives away with Kane in the back to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for August 2, 1998

WWF owner Vince McMahon introduces the host and star of Sunday Night Heat, his son Shane McMahon. Shane leaves, then comes back with two women (named Ally and Kylah) and heads to the commentary table. Shane joins in on commentary along with the two ladies, one of whom has posed for Playboy in lingerie, and even has his own make-up done in the middle of the first match.

Edge beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett after Tennessee Lee mistakenly trips Double J. After the match, Double J shoves Tennessee Lee before heading to the back.

Amy Hunter-Cornelius and Mario Lopez of Pacific Blue are seen in the front row.

Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac). Lawler announces that WWF owner Vince McMahon has ordered a match between Triple H and X-Pac for tomorrow's night's Raw, with the winner getting a shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. X-Pac makes it clear that he and Triple H are professionals and that they will go out tomorrow night, rip it up, and shake hands. After they both tell Vince to suck it, Triple H says that from the very beginning, when DX was formed, Vince could not stand them as they did exactly what we wanted, from what they wanted to say to whose ass they wanted to kick, and became the most titillating part of the show every week. He then says the crowd knows what they mean by "titillating," and if any of the ladies have the good, they have the time, and get a woman in a black vest to flash her breasts. Another woman flash her breasts after the interview ends.

Before the next match, Val Venis shows up on the stage with Mrs. Yamaguchi-san. Yamaguchi-san is furious. Val Venis and Mrs. Yamaguchi-san then caress and watch the match from the stage.

Darren "Puke" Drozdov and The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki). After the match, Mrs. Yamaguchi-san leaves and Val Venis walks down the ramp to the ring. Kaientai and Yamaguchi-san leave, then Val Venis tries to turn Amy Hunter-Cornelius on in the front row. Mario Lopez gets shoved when he comes between them, and he leaps the guardrail before taking down Venis with a double-leg takedown. Mario Lopez is pulled off Venis and is escorted out of the building.

D'Lo Borwn retains the WWF European Championship against "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock after D'Lo agitates Severn, causing Severn to attack him. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up and has to play peacemaker between Shamrock and Severn. After Severn and Blackman, Shamrock smashes a chair on the floor mats at ringside and kicks down a set of steel steps.

Paul Bearer says the road to destruction begins tonight. It does not matter who they have to go through tomorrow night, for they will take back the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Shanna Moaker of Pacific Blue talks with Bart Gunn about his Brawl For All match against "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. Gunn says anything can happen in the WWF and that he has respect for Dr. Death, and when they got in the ring, he got him with a good left hook. After Shanna asks Bart Gunn to show her a few moves, she announces that Pacific Blue is coming up next.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen in the locker room, drinking beer and watching the next match.

The Nation (Owen Hart and The Rock) beat Kane and Mankind by count-out to become #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships tomorrow night on Raw.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin says he tossed The Undertaker because he looked thirsty. As for the attack from Kane and Mankind, Austin says he was stupid to lower his guard, but finds it interesting that The Undertaker did not help him and that they are still only a team. He then says he has respect for "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart, he has all the respect in the world for them a tag team, but somebody is going to get their ass beat when the bell rings and he and The Undertaker will retain the WWF Tag Team Championships tomorrow night.

As for what is next for him, he is still the WWF Intercontinental Champion and he will continue to lay the smack down in a major way.

Kaientai (Men's Teioh and Sho Funaki) beat Sean Casey and Papi Chulo.

We hear from "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who claimed that he would climb the mountain and become King of the Ring. Now that he has fulfilled that, he sees bigger and better mountains to climb, and he will climb them.

Dustin Runnels and Terry Funk beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification after Chyna hits Terry Funk with a low blow. After the match, Dustin Runnels says something to Chyna and puts his hands on her face, and receives a low blow and an elbow in response.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for June 20, 1998

"The Godfather" Kama Mustafa - now known as just The Godfather - vs. Faarooq ends in a double count-out. Both men keep fighting after the match, and referees have to break up the brawl.

We hear from The Rock, who says he set out to do what he said he would do. After planting Vader with a Rock Bottom in the middle of the ring, he has "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, whom he plans to beat in order to go on to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to become the King of the Ring.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 18, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson show up. As a result of Vince's devastating clothesline delivered to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin last week on Raw, Austin has supposedly suffered a mild concussion. Vince calls Austin "a spirited individual," and says he might try to get revenge on him, Brisco or Patterson. He then says that revenge would be nothing compared to the injury he might suffer at their hands, and that therefore, for Austin's protection, has barred Austin from the arena tonight. We then see footage from earlier tonight of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin not being allowed into the building by a security guard whom Austin allows five minutes to reconsider as only Austin himself would allow, telling him they can do this the easy way or the hard way. Vince then introduces Dude Love to the ring as the next WWF Champion. Dude Love finds it ironic that as Austin's reign comes to an end that the Dude only becomes stronger as he looks younger, handsomer and more well-educated every day. He says that May 31st will be a night where dreams come true for everyone, especially for Brisco, Patterson and McMahon when Austin's reign is finally ended, and also especially for himself when he becomes a hardcore legend, the toughest S.O.B. in the WWF and the new WWF Champion. Vince then calls out Dustin Runnels for the burning of his Goldust attire last week, and Runnels shows up. Runnels' right knee is bandaged due to recent surgery. Vince confronts Runnels for blaming everything on him and tells him to take some accountability for his own life and that he gave him an opportunity as Goldust. Vince thinks Runnels wants to prove himself, and gives him an opportunity to prove himself tonight. If Runnels can beat Dude Love in the ring tonight despite having a recently worked-on right knee, he will be the #1 contender for the WWF Championship, but if he loses, he will be working without pay for 30 days. Runnels accepts, saying the sooner the better, and attacks Dude Love. The numbers game quickly catches up to runnels when Brisco and Patterson stomp on him, and referees and officials have to get Dustin Runnels out of the ring.

Jerry "The King" Lawler lets someone cloaked in a blue cloth out of a mini-van. It is not "Stone Cold" Steve Auustin, but reather someone who is sent to take care of Austin. Security checks the man out and lets him in.

After the commercial break, Jerry "The King" Lawler loses the guy in the blue cloak and finds him on a payphone on the WWF Superstar Line.

Val Venis beats 2 Cold Scorpio in his WWF debut with his dive from the top rope known as the Money Shot.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin approaches the security guard and deals with him the hard way, beating him up for not letting him in. He then makes his way into the arena.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin makes his way to the ring. He tells the crowd to give him a "hell Yeah," then says he'll crash the party any time he wants to, because if there's a Monday Night Raw, he's going to be there. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon can pull the strings all he wants, but he's getting more and more pissed off with him every single day. Austin calls out McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson out so they can settle this once and for all, and if they don't show in 30 seconds, he'll tear up every camera they have. McMahon asks Austin who he thinks he is, breaking into "his" arena. Austin says he's the one looking at three jackasses dressed up in suits, and warns Patterson he will stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry if he heads past the stage. He says he wants to talk to all three of them like men and does not want to fight them, and tells them to get in the ring. Vince still wants to fight Austin, and Austin watns them them not to take a step as they don't want a piece of him. Vince says he doesn't go a street fight in a suit like the one he, Brisco and Patterson are weraing, and asks Austin if he wants a street fight against the three of them. Austin then asks the crowd to give him a "Hell Yeah" if they want to see one. Patterson says he wants to take him on, saying Austin is an idiot and that he does not suck as Austin said on commentary two weeks. Brisco also wants a piece of Austin while showing immense loyalty for McMahon. McMahon allows Austin two out of the three of them, to allow for some fairness, but Austin says he'll put knots on all three of them before the night is over. Vince tells Austin he's looking at three musketeers, but Austin tells them they can all screw themselves and that two of them will get their asses whipped regardless of who shows up, and that's the bottom line.

We see another vignette for Edge.

Jerry "The King" Lawler catches his mystery man at the make-up booth.

Sable shows up before the next match, and asks "Marvelous" Marc Mero to come to the ring. She tells him she has been looking back on their relationship lately, and is allowing to let bygones be bygones, and if he can be an adult about it, they can have an amicable split and they can go their separate ways. Mero asks Sable if she wants to leave him, and Sable says yes. Mero tells Sable she forgot one detail. Two years ago, she signed a contract with him, which basically states that she is still his property and tells her to get in his corner "like a good little girl." Sable realizes he won't be an adult and will hold her hostage, and Mero warns her that she will sue her for everything she has and for every cent she's made under him.

Terry Funk beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero. After Terry Funk pushes referee Jack Doan to the ground, Mero hits a low blow followed by a TKO, but Sable distracts the referee, calling Mero out for his low blow and allowing Terry Funk to hit Mero with a DDT to get the win.

The security guard as well as two Nashville police officers look for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin backstage. They come across Jerry "The King" Lawler and his mystery partner in the blue cloak, and even they can confirm that the man below the cloak is not "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz and Skull) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) after 8-Ball comes out of the crowd and gets the pinfall on Animal while the referee isn't looking. After the match, Animal wants a six-man tag match against The Disciples of Apocalypse next week.

Jerry "The King" Lawler is seen heading to the ring with the man beneath the blue blanket.

Earlier today, Paul Bearer and Kane went to a medical center outside the arena to take a DNA test to prove that Kane is his biological son. Kane is seen wearing a black ski mask and a jacket with multiple dark colors instead of his usual ring gear.

WAR ZONE

The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.

Jerry "The King" Lawler heads to the ring with the person in the blue blanket when he comes to the commentary table, and says he has the man in the blanket with him to protect him in case he is jumped at the commentary table. The man below the blanket is none other than Al Snow, who has showed up with Head and wants to see WWF owner Vince McMahon. Lawler, Head and Snow leave through the crowd.

Dude Love beats Dustin Runnels with the Mandible Claw to stay #1 contender for the WWF Championship. Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson show up during the match, and Brisco distracts Runnels, allowing Dude Love to win with the Mandible Claw. As a result of Dude Love's victory, Dustin Runnels must work without pay for 30 days. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching the match backstage, and cameras are on him when the police arrest him.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson approach "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as he is being arrested by two Nashville police officers, confronting Austin for defying him yet again and gloating over the fact that he and his men won't have to face him in a street fight tonight.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) vs. Kaientai (Dick Togo and Men's Teioh) ends in a no-contest after Yamaguichi-san distracts the referee, allowing for Sho Funaki to attack The Headbangers along with Togo and Teioh. Bradshaw and Taka Michinoku rush towards the ring, forcing Kaientai to retreat through the crowd. During the match, Al Snow and Head are in the front row, demanding to Jerry "The King" Lawler that he wants to see Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen in the back of a county squad car, with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco standing just outside talking to a police officer.

We see more footage of Paul Bearer and Kane taking their DNA test in Bearer's attempt to prove that Kane is his biological son.

Before the next match, X-Pac says there are a lot of WWF Superstars looking at the monitor, and says D-Generation X ("Triple H" HUnter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) "got game." Triple H says he's a hell of a hummer, as he can bang the skin. He tells the ladies that if he's not too enthralled with the show, they can swing around to the back and twirl his stick while he's beating the tom-tom. Road Dogg tells "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart that if he and Billy Gunn are just going to let them have the tag titles, they've got another thing coming, as law around here is DX law, and he who breaks the law goes back to the house of pain. Triple H tells "The Rock" that if he messes with them, it won't be "know your role," instead, it will be "shut your hole." When The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up, they all go after D-Generation X, and referees and officials have to restore order. A cameraman is injured during the ringside brawl between both factions.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart) after Chyna distracts the referee, allowing Faarooq to run in and hit The Rock with a piledriver. Al Snow is seen talking to Head, still wanting to see WWF owner Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is still in the squad car, which is still in the arena.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is out of the squad, and is released from his handcuffs after he apologizes to the security guard for "beating his ass" and "for [him] being so damn stupid," then heads to the ring.

Kevin Kelly is in the ring with Dr. Chuck Woosley, who has the results of Kane and Paul Bearer's DNA test. He announces that he can say without a doubt that Paul Bearer is the biological father of Kane. Kane and Paul Bearer show up, and says he's the fat man who tells the truth and not the little boy who cried wolf. He tells The Undertaker that he was telling the truth about Kane being alive and Kane being his son, and then tells The Undertaker that his mother was "nothing but a damn two-bit whore, and that's the truth." The Undertaker comes out from the back, beats up Paul Bearer, then choke slams Kane before beating up Paul Bearer some more. Kane gets back up, and he and Paul Bearer attack The Undertaker until Vader runs in and goes at it with Kane. The Undertaker leaves the ring and goes after Paul Bearer, who runs to the back.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up for the main event Street Fight, while WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter is announced as the special guest referee for the match. When "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gets in Slaugher's face and flips him off during his ring entrance, Slaughter attacks him from behind, starting the match early. A fan in a Steve Austin mask is seen standing next to Al Snow in the front row.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco in a Street Fight ends in chaos. Brisco, Patterson, and special guest referee WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughteer all get Stone Cold Stunners, then Dude Love and Steve Austin brawl. The fan in the Steve Austin match jumps the guardrail and attacks Austin, and unmasks to reveal himself as WWF owner Vince McMahon as Dude Love locks the Mandible Claw on Austin.

After the end of the show, WWF owner Vince McMahon and Dude Love get in the ring after checking on Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, who join them in the ring soon afterwards. Vince hugs Dude Love, then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gets in the ring and gets his hand on Vince McMahon, chasing him to the back.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 11, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up to start the show. He says that when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes through that locker room door, he will have to take part in tag team action tonight. He then takes the opportunity to introduce someone who has proven he is willing to make sacrifices to the extent that he has become #1 contender to the WWF Championship: Dude Love. Instead of the usual tie-dye, he is wearing a suit, carrying a copy of The Wall Street Journal, has a shaved beard and has artificial front teeth in his mouth. Dude says that last week, he was confused as to what his true identity was, but knows who he is now: a well-educated man, a speaker of four different languages, a reader of Greek tragedy, a student of American history, a lover of women, a leader of man, a surprisingly good dancer for a big man, the king of hardcore wrestling, and - as Austin will find out at Over The Edge - the world's toughest S.O.B. He is the future WWF Champion, and he is Dude Love. Dude Love and Vince shake hands, and Dude Love says that for quite some time, Dude Love had lost his smile and is happy to report that with the support of Vince McMahon and the WWF, he has found that smile and it certainly feels good. He says that this time, a handshake won't do it, and he and Vince both hug. Vince says he is proud of Dude Love, and has a surprise for him: the special guest timekeeper for his and Austin's match at Over The Edge will be none other than Gerald Brisco. Brisco shows up and shakes hands with both Dude Love and Vince, and Vince says he has another surprise: Pat Patterson is special guest ring announcer for the match will be Pat Patterson, who also shows up and shakes hands with everyone in the ring. Vince then gives us one more surprise: a special guest referee in the form of...someone who doesn't show up. Vince McMahon heads to the back to see what's going on, as does Gerald Briscoe. Pat Patterson then introduces the special guest referee, and after teasing it will be Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, he announces it will be Vince McMahon, who comes back in black slacks and a sleeveless referee's shirt. Vince then mocks Austin's ring entrance before all four men raise their arms in triumph.

Kevin Kelly is backstage as Sable shows up. Sable has no time to talk as enters in preparation of her public confrontation with "Marvelous" Marc Mero.

We see footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) on their way to the CNN Tower in Atlanta, Georgia, where they where they make their way to World Championship Wrestling. They have no way of getting in, however, after being stopped by security, but they still have their fans in the area.

Kevin Kelly opens a garage door backstage when it is banged on. Instead of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, it's Al Snow from Extreme Championship Wrestling, who has Head with him as well as tickets to the show. He admits that he is a little lost, and Kevin Kelly gives him directions to his seats. Kevin Kelly is bemused by the fact that Al Snow is talking to a mannequin head.

Vader, back in action from injury after three months. beats Barry Windham. During the match, it is announced that Vader will face Kane at Over The Edge, and the loser will be forced to unmask. After the match, The New Midnight Express ("Bombastic" Bob Holly and "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) fail to take out Vader, and Vader leaves the ring as soon as it becomes apparent that it will be a 3-on-1 brawl. It is also announced that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will debut on MTV Celebrity Deathmatch this Thursday on MTV.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has arrived.

During the commercial break, Kevin Kelly interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin says Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF owner Vince McMahon don't qualify to be "The Three Stooges" and that they're so pathetic that they're "The Three Jackasses." He says that whatever Vince does, he won't take the WWF Championship from him. As for tonight, he's not a tag team wrestler, and upon being told that nothing about the match has been revealed, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin takes the microphone and heads further into the building.

Skull beats Road Warrior Hawk with a roll-up. Actually, 8-Ball does after he and Skull pull the old switcheroo on Hawk.

We see more footage of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) at the CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

We see another vignette of Edge, in which he mostly walks around.

We see footage from earlier today of Bradshaw teaching Taka Michinoku how to drive in America while the two of them smoke cigars. When they make it back, they are suddenly jumped by Club Kamikaze, who is accompanied by an older man in a business suit.

Faarooq beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett after Kama Mustafa and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry attack Faarooq and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman." Jarrrett takes advantage of the situation by striking Blackman in the back with his own nunchaku before choking him with them.

Tony Siragusa of the Batlimore Ravens is seen in the crowd.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He says that WWF owner Vince McMahon may have stacked the deck against him at Over The Edge, but he doesn't care as it doesn't bother him one bit. He knows Vince can't stand him, and he feels the same way about Vince. He says that if Vince won't tell him anything about the tag team match he is part of tonight, then the least he can do is show up and give him some information if he is any kind of man. Vince shows up on the TitanTron with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, saying they're having a board meeting. As for Over The Edge, he says his title reign is going "over the edge." As for the tag team match, Patterson and Brisco say they know nothing, before imitating the "Speak No Evil, See No Evil, Hear No Evil" monkeys. Austin tells the threesome they can cover up their eyes, ears and mouths but they can't cover up their asses, and when it's all said and done, it where he'll stick the WWF Championship.

We see a splicing of Val Venis vignettes before the end of Raw.

WAR ZONE

Sable gets in the ring and calls out "Marvelous" Marc Mero. When Mero shows up, Sable says she never thought he'd take it this far, but if has to come to this, she'll give him her best. Mero tells Sable not to weasel out of this match as it's a little too late, then immediately attempts a TKO only to put her down and says he could have finished her off quickly, only to let her go because he's a gentleman. He gives Sable a chance to apologize for ruining his WWF career, but Sable kicks him in the groin before putting him in the Sable Bomb.

The Undertaker suddenly shows up, throws the chair that Jerry "The King" Lawler was sitting in, and punches Lawler in the face for his locker room remarks in his inadvertently-recorded conversation with Paul Bearer from last week. Lawler gets choke slammed, but Kane and Paul Bearer make their presence known before 'Taker can put Lawler in the Tombstone Piledriver. Bearer tells The Undertaker that either the truth hurts him badly instead or he doesn't believe him at all, but then reminds him that he told him Kane was alive and that he didn't believe it, either. Next week, he will prove once and for all that he is Kane's father. After Kane and Paul Bearer leave, The Undertaker stops Lawler from leaving and continues where he left off, hitting him with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Al Snow shows up, this time at ringside, and he and Head almost guest on commentary only to be escorted out by security and Pat Patterson. Snow insists he needs to see WWF owner Vince McMahon, then runs into the ring and into the crowd.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is still at the CNN Center. He says the Atlanta, Georgia version of "Operation DX" is complete, then we see a computer-generated rocket "hit" the CNN Center and create a computer-generated explosion.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. X-Pac says they have gotten back from Atlanta, Georgia where World Championship Wrestling nearly had them arrested, and tells Eric Bischoff that he doesn't know what he's smoking and that he never asked him for anything, much less an apology, except for him to be a man. As for kissing ass, he never kissed Vince McMahon's ass and he never kissed Bischoff's, and tells Bischoff to "suck on it." The New Age Outlaws (James, Gunn) introduce themselves, then Gunn tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that they're either with them or their ass better call somebody. Triple H then tells the Baltimore, Maryland crowd that DX loves them and that he has a surprise for their state bird. Before he can show that surprise, Owen Hart shows up and says he's heard enough before telling Triple H they have unfinished business. Triple H says if they have unfinished business, he's right here waiting, and Owen tells him he's coming down to the ring to kick his ass before bringing out the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry).

Triple H vs. Owen Hart ends with a nasty confrontation between the rest of D-Generation X (Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and the rest of The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) after Owen Hart bites Triple H's ear and Chyna crotches Owen Hart on the top rope.

It is announced that there will be a Six-Man Tag Match between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) at Over The Edge.

The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust shows up as Dustin Runnels, carrying his Goldust outfit, wig and a steel can wit a gas can in it. He takes the suit and wig, places them in the can, pours gas on it, then lights a entire box of matches and throws it in the steel can, setting them ablaze. Runnels tells WWF owner Vince McMahon he has worked "too damn hard" for him for three years, and that the Rhodes name goes way back and has a lot of pride, history and dignity in it. He does not have that dignity because of Vince taking it away from him due to his imagination. He blames Vince for losing his father "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and causing him so much heartache his wife Terri and daughter Dakota over the Goldust persona. He says Vince punished him for not beating "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the WWE Championship by putting him in the ring with Kane, and says he will be punished no more. He then says that Goldust dies tonight, and tells him that he will never forget the name of Dustin.

We finally learn the identities of "Club Kamikaze:" Yamaguchi-san is the older gentleman in the business suit, while the three members are Dick Togo, Men's Taioh and Sho Funaki. (Men's Teioh is better known as Terry Boy from his appearance at ECW's Barely Legal pay-per-view.) Together, they are known as Kaientai. Yamaguchi-san calls the crowd "scumbag Americans," and introduces "the new generation with the new Japanese attitude." He then introduces Kaientai, and says we will never know where or when they will strike. Kaientai then attack Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio from behind.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Taioh, Sho Funaki) beat Terry Funk and 2 Cold Scorpio by disqualification after Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw clear the ring out, causing Kaientai to flee through the crowd.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen talking to somebody backstage, and this person is implied to be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner

Al Snow tries unsuccessfully to enter the building again.

The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) show up. The Rock says the fire between himself and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin finally reignites, and tells Austin that unless his partner is Godzilla, he's ready to lay the smack down on the WWF Championship. Before the commercial break, WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco pride themselves on what they believe to be a job well done.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner is revealed to be WWF owner Vince McMahon.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vince McMahon vs. The Nation of Domination ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia) ends when Vince McMahon clotheslines Austin in response to being flipped off. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Dude Love all attack Austin, and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) get in the ring to brawl with The Nation of Domination (The Rock, Owen Hart, D'Lo, Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) to end the show.
