Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 24, 1998

RAW

The Undertaker is in the building. So is Kane, who is right behind him.

The Undertaker and Kane show up to start tonight's show. It is noted by the commentary teams that the cell from the Hell in a Cell matches is hanging high above the ring. WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up with a smile on his face, proclaiming that The Undertaker and Kane have "come out of the coffin" and that this is the best moment since United States President Bill Clinton's mea culpa from last week. Vince tells the crowd "I told you so," and that Kane and The Undertaker together are the most destructive force in the WWF, and that with Kane at his side, The Undertaker will not need his help to win the WWF Championship at SummerSlam, though he will need him again in the future for his wisdom, his brilliant strategy and his friendship. He then asks The Undertaker if he is friend or foe to him, and tells him to think about it before giving him an answer before the end of the night. Paul Bearer shows up, and tells Kane to tell him it is not true, as he has always been the one to be there for him and love him, as his mother - who he calls "that sleazy whore" - did not do. Kane gently keeps The Undertaker back upon that comment, and Bearer tells Kane to look in his eyes as his blood runs through Kane's veins and that he knows who has been honest to him and who has been deceitful to him. He then tells Kane that if he never does anything else for him again, to destroy The Undertaker for him as one last request. Kane turns his back on Bearer, and The Undertaker attacks Paul Bearer. Mankind shows up, and Kane and The Undertaker beat him down. Mankind fails to even fight back as Kane and The Undertaker hit him with a spike Tombstone Piledriver. Vince McMahon then tells The Undertaker that there is only one man left standing between him and the WWF Championship: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin shows up immediately upon the utterance of his name, and his boots are not quaking as Vince has just said. A ball of fire shoots out from the stage, and nearly roasts Austin. Austin says he knew along they were together, and that he nearly got choked up by the family reunion because he was happy about it. He is not happy, however, about being nearly set on fire, and says it will take an effort on his part to beat The Undertaker at SummerSlam. With Kane at The Undertaker's side however, he may not have much of a chance, but he nevertheless tells The Undertaker to grow eyes in the back of his eyes as he will take somebody out tonight, and that he will burn The Undertaker's ass if he wants to play with fire and believe he is in Austin's head.

We see footage of Mankind being taken away on a stretcher from the commercial break, then we see Mankind being placed in an ambulance.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Dan "The Beast" Severn by disqualification after Owen Hart gets in the ring and tries to choke Shamrock out. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman gets in the ring and hits a running front kick on Severn. After the match, Blackman tries to keep Shamrock back, but gets hit with a German suplex. Blackman responds with a belly-to-belly suplex, then referees and officials have to restore order. Shamrock then snaps and scares everyone else in the ring out as Blackman leaves, then he butts his head on the steel steps.

Mankind is out of the ambulance, pushing a stretcher around while two people are knocked down.

Mankind makes his way down the entrance ramp on the stretcher, and enters the ring with a bag of tacks. He says he was warned by Vince McMahon that Kane was no good, and he tried not to believe it. Now that it is true, Vince McMahon has offered him his chance in redemption, and redemption lies above his head. Vince knows that when Kane and Mankind are locked in the Cell, he will get his ass kicked. He asks what kind of an idiot whould get in the same match that nearly cost him his life, and says that idiot is him. He has a plan, and it does not involve getting in the ring, but instead, walking up to the top of the cage. If he can get Kane up there, he has a surprise for him: 7,000 thumbtacks that will turn him into the world's largest pincushion. If this all goes his way, history will be made, and if they take a turn for the worse, it wouldn't be the first time he got his ass kicked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Either way, he doesn't give a damn, and he will see Kane in Hell.

We revisit the Hell in a Cell Match between The Undertaker and Mankind from King of the Ring.

Sable shows up and introduces Kurrgan before the next match before dancing with The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Kurrgan, Golga, Giant Silva). "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up without Jacqueline, and if Kurrgan has any guts, he'll fight him without the rest of The Oddities at ringside. The Oddities leave, while Sable stays behind.

Kurrgan beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero by disqualification. During the match, Sable is attacked by Jacqueline, who is wearing a hat with fake dreadlocks. Mero hits Kurrgan with a low blow, but the referee sees it and disqualifies Mero, who flees through the crowd with Jacqueline.

X-Pac leads a camera crew to the locker room, where he urinates on a pair of cowboy boots.

Before the next match, Road Warrior Hawk guests on commentary. Hawk's speech is notably slurred as he keeps asking questions and saying strange things.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight). During the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett rips the headset off the head of a sloshed-looking Road Warrior Hawk and demands X-Pac show up, wanting a piece of him after X-Pac urinated on his cowboy boots and declaring that he will give him a beating and a shaving of the head at SummerSlam. Mark Canterbury is distracted by what's going on with Jarrett, and Gunn hits Knight with a piledriver before Road Dog makes the pin. Jarrett and Southern Justice beat up a cameraman and shave his headafter being warned one too many times not to shoot him from the waist down.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, Mankind beats up several referees as they try to stop him from climbing to the top of the Cell. Kane goes after Mankind, who then tries to get on top of the cage again, only to be pulled off the top and into a commentary table by The Undertaker. After a beating by Kane, Mankind is finally in the ring and the match begins.

Kane vs. Mankind in a Hell in a Cell Match ends after "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes out from underneath the ring and stomps a mudhole in Kane. The Undertaker tries to get in the Cell by stomping a hole in the top as Austin hits Kane with a Stone Cold Stunner, and is about to make his way in when the Cell suddenly rises up. It is revealed that WWF owner Vince McMahon is the one at the controls for the Cell, raising it up. Austin hits Kane with another Stunner, then takes a stretcher located near the ring.

After the commercial break, The Undertaker tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin he has given far too much respect, as he has just come out and proved that he is nothing more than a coward after jumping Kane from behind with no provocation. Is is noted that Kane is bleeding from the head, and The Undertaker tells Austin he just sealed his fate. Before the night ends, Austin will come face-to-face with his destiny, and that this is personal.

Chyna shows up alone, followed by "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, with The Nation (Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) not far behind as they carry a ladder to the ring. The Rock tells Chyna that if she wants to be a big shot and call him out, here he is. Before he goes any further, he tells Chyna that he knows this is a set-up and that he is one step ahead. He then tells Chyna to look at the TitanTron. We see D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) trapped in their locker room backstage by a forklift by a door. The Rock then tells Chyna to tell Triple H to face him in New York City one-on-one at SummerSlam for the WWF Intercontinental Championship in a Ladder Match, where he will climb "The People's Ladder" "rung by damn rung" and prove why he is The People's Champion. The Rock then tries to hit on Chyna, who tries to dump the ladder that The Rock is standing on only to be held down by Owen and D'Lo. The Rock tells Owen and D'Lo Brown to get her on her knees, then implies that Chyna is a whore before threatening to kiss her in the most uncomfortable matter, which he then ultimately decides against as there is no way he would kiss "a piece of trash like [Chyna]." He then tells Mark Henry to "give her the thrill of her life," making the kiss even more uncomfortable than before. He is about to do it when "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - of all people - suddenly shows up and hits Mark Henry with a steel chair to the back of the head. Shawn then tosses the Intercontinental title to The Rock, then hands the steel chair to Chyna before dancing on the commentary table.

"D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are seen outside of the arena looking for The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels guests on commentary from this point forward.

Before the next match, Val Venis says the ladies can forget past cheese steaks and try The Big Valbowski's, as his has "more meat than your buns can handle."

Val Venis beats Taka Michinoku by disqualification when an enraged "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley smashes a steel chair into Venis' back before hitting Taka in the head with it. Triple H then says "The Rock" Rocky Maivia has just crossed a line, and that at SummerSlam, The Rock's role will become real clear, as The Rock will become his bitch.

X-Pac beats Gangrel by disqualification after "Double J" Jeff Jarrett shows up and hits X-Pac in the head with a guitar. Edge is seen in the crowd during the match. After the match, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley chases Jarrett out of the ring, and he and Chyna check on X-Pac As Triple H and Chyna help X-Pac to the back, Edge suddenly rushes into the ring and assaults Gangrel, and referees have to pull them apart. Gangrel is seen laughing during the pull-apart, and Edge leaves through the crowd.

The Undertaker is seen dragging a casket backstage.

An interview with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is promises of Code Red on WWF.com.

Bart Gunn beats Bradshaw by knockdown with 20 seconds left in the first round to win the Brawl For All Tournament and the cash prize of $75,000. (Bradshaw wins $25,000 for being runner-up.)

Michael Cole interviews WWF owner Vince McMahon, who says he will get his answer as to whether he will be friend or foe to The Undertaker, and that he will get the answer he wants.

Chants are heard, and druids bring a casket to ringside. After the druids leave, The Undertaker arrives and states that he will take what is rightfully is at SummerSlam - the WWF Championship - and do it like a man. He will not jump "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and that Austin need not worry about kane as Kane has his own agenda at SummerSlam. The Undertaker says he has been up front from beeginning, and at SummerSlam, it will be him, Austin and the WWF Championship. Tonight, however, Austin made it personal, and tells Austin that when he jumped on Kane, he jumped on him. He dares Austin to take a ride on the highway to Hell tonight, but as The Undertaker continues to speak, WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up. He takes the microphone and tells The Undertaker to forget about Austin, and asks if he is friend or foe. Vince extends his hand, but The Undertaker choke slams him. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin climbs out of the coffin, mouths off at Vince, then Kane also comes out of the casket and attacks Austin from behind before Austin can attack The Undertaker. Austin wisely gets out of the ring and tries to re-enter the ring with a steel chair, but the referee stationed nearby does not let him. Austin leaves, and as he does, a line of fire travels up the entrance ramp. The show ends.

After the show goes off the air, Austin goes back down the ramp without the steel chair, takes his shirt off and heads towards the ring. Kane leaves the ring and The Undertaker gets near the ropes. Austin backs away and leaves, then Kane gets back in the ring and stares towards the stage along with The Undertaker. WWF owner Vince McMahon leaves as the fire on the ramp is put out, but then Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up. Vince then heads towards the ring, but Austin returns and pushes the threesome towards the ring while beating them pu. Patterson is choke slammed by The Undertaker, while Briscoe is rammed into the casket. Austin then leaves again.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 17, 1998

RAW

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin tries to force his way into WWF owner Vince McMahon's office backstage.

The show starts with a hearse backing up into the arena. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes out of the driver's seat, and gets in the ring to tell WWF owner Vince McMahon to either get in the ring or he'll sit there and drink about 23 more beers until he does. Pat Patterson shows up, followed by Gerald Brisco, followed by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. It is then and only then after Austin asks someone to fetch him another beer than Vince shows up. As Vince heads to the ring, it is announced that Vince McMahon will be live on America On-Line this Thursday night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central (Keyword: WWF). Austin tells Vince he must be happy that he and The Undertaker are no longer tag team champs, but Vince says "not really." Austin says Vince is so full of crap it's unreal, but that is okay with him because he and The Undertaker are no longer "bound together" due to tag team gold, as he does not trust or depend on anybody. As for The Undertaker saying he pissed him off, Austin says he was "born pissed off." As for "having one foot in the grave," he plans to pull the foot out of the grave and put it in The Undertaker's ass to let him know how SummerSlam will be like before he beats him and stuffs him in the hearse. Austin threatens to stuff Vince in the hearse if he gets in his way, and chauffeur the three of them down the highway to Hell that is SummerSlam.

The rest of The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are ejected from ringside before the next match.

Dan "The Beast" Severn beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Owen Hart in a Triple Threat Match by choking Shamrock out as Owen kicks as Shamrock's abdomen. Owen and Severn continue to beat up Shamrock, but "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up, attacks Owen and stares down Severn before checking on Shamrock. Severn then chokes out Blackman from behind, and Owen then attacks Blackman. Referees and officials have to rush in to restore order. Severn the does a double high-five with Owen Hart before leaving. Shamrock then snaps, and Blackman tells Shamrock he came in to save him. Shamrock calms down a little bit, then threatens to knock fifty pounds off WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter after he says something to him.

Bart Gunn beats "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa by knockout in the third round to continue to the finals of the Brawl For All Tournament. Before the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls President Bill Clinton (or in this case, an impersonator), who says that he "likes it Raw" and that "even Monica knows that." The Godfather considers giving Bart Gunn a choice to either fight him or spend a night with his hoes, but then decides against it and says he's going to kick his ass. After the match, Gunn from Jim Ross, to which Jim Ross replies "Nothing's given; you've earned it."

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock are seen tearing things up backstage while looking for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, while Gangrel - a man with a gothic, vampiric gimmick - is seen backstage waiting for his debut, which is next.

Michael Cole announces that Owen Hart's trainer for his Lion's Den Match against "The World's Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is none other than Dan "The Beast" Severn. Owen and Severn have already left the building, but Shamorck and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman will make a statement concerning this later tonight.

Gangrel beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher in his Raw debut. Edge is seen in the crowd, paying close attention to Gangrel as he makes his entrance, which involved Gangrel coming out through a ring of fire in the stage and drinking blood from a goblet before spitting it out.

Michael Cole interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who says that there had better be two hospital beds for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, as he will pop every bone in their bodies. He then threatens to do the same to Michael Cole if he does not leave, before he and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman trash the backstage set.

Cameras are trained on the entrance to the arena as commentary waits on The Undertaker to arrive.

Michael Cole interviews D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) concerning their Street Fight with The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). Before they can say anything, The Nation shows up and both sides brawl backstage. Referees and officials are quickly in place to try to stop the carnage.

The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat Faarooq and Scorpio. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews "President Bill Clinton," who says that despite all the scandals, his job is getting done. Also during the match, the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) continues backstage, and the brouhaha quickly spills into the arena. The brawl between DX and The Nation distracts the referee, allowing Skull and 8-Ball to switch places after Scorpio hits the 450 Splash.

WAR ZONE

After the commercial break, the Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) starts proper.

The Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) ends in chaos. During the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) get involved, attacking both X-Pac and "Road Dog" Jesse James as Jarrett cuts some of X-Pac's hair. Triple H is ganged up on by The Nation and even has his mouth busted open.

Tiger Ali Singh and Abu show up. Singh makes fun of America again, saying that the people of India are in way better condition than the people of America. We see footage of Abu training heavily, and we see that Abu is still caked in sweat from being unable to bathe himself afterward. Tiger Ali Singh then offers $500 cash to anyone who is willing to lock Abu's unwashed feet. Abu picks a person out of the audience, and Abu removes one of his socks so that he will lick the toe jam between Abu's toes, which the young man is all too eager to do. He gets his $500 and quickly leaves after showing it off on camera.

The arm wrestling contest between Sable and Jacqueline ends in controversy. Before the contest, Sable shows up with Jacqueline's bikini contest trophy and says that if she wants it back, to come and get it. During the arm wrestling contest, Jacqueline pushes the table onto Sable, and smashes the bikini contest trophy on Sable's back. "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up, but The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) rush in and both Mero and Jacqueline flee. The Oddities check on Sable and help her up and to the back.

Michael Cole interviews Val Venis, who wants to run the gauntlet against Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) as he has been conditioned to run all night along, and if he wins, he gets five minutes with Yamaguchi-san during which he will show him what it's like to be severed at the head.

On Droz's World, Darren "Puke" Drozdov talks about his tattoos and body piercings.. We then see footage of some guy in a production room who says "anyone who yaks is an okay person in my book."

Bradshaw beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov to continue to the finals of the Brawl For ALl Tournament.

It is announced that Al Snow is back in the World Wrestling Federation. We then see Al Snow talking to Head, who is on the floor drunk. Al Snow has to take the keys to the car from Head, who is close to losing his license.

Backstage, an angry Sable heads to the ring.

Dustin Runnels says that according to the Bible, your body is a temple, and that we should be careful what we put into it. He asks wy one should poison their mind. He suggest that instead of watching the next segment, one should curl up with a good book like Oliver Twist, Ivanhoe, or his personal favorite, the New Testament. He says the viewer will be glad they did, and that He is coming back. We then see the "The preceding was sponsored by the Evangelists Against Television, Movies & Entertainment" message.

Sable shows up, and calls Jacqueline out so they can fight. Jacqueline is on the TitanTron, saying she wasn't born yesterday and that if they want to fight, they'll do it at SummerSlam in a mixed tag team match. The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silvan) then storm "Marvelous" Marc Mero's locker room and go after Mero and Jacqueline.

Michael Cole announces that The Undertaker has made it to the arena, and that it will not take long for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to find him. In case the two men go at it, cameras will be backstage to capture the action.

Before the next match, Val Venis shows up with a pink Super Soaker. It is announced that Val Venis will show up on Code Red at WWF.com. Val Venis then tells the ladies that they can forget about trying to blackmail him, because even though he is not a screamer -unlike Bill Clinton - after he leaves his mark, he always "Shouts it out" before imitating the act of squirting a spray bottle. When Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) shows up, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up and says only one man can be in or around the ring at any one time.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku) beat Val Venis in a Gauntlet Match after Taka hits the Michinoku Driver on Val Venis. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls "Bill Clinton," who says that he did not have any improper relationships with Monica Lewinsky and that it was "just good sex." After the match, Kaientai beat up and mock Val Venis, and also hold Venis down as Mrs. Yamaguchi slaps Venis. Venis then pulls out his pink Super Soaker and soaks everyone in the ring, including Mrs. Yamaguchi-san.

The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin confront each other in the ring. It is then revealed that Kane is in the ring with Austin, not The Undertaker, and is wearing The Undertaker's robe and clothes. Kane attacks Austin, and both men brawl in and out of the ring and into the crowd until Austin tosses Kane into the hearse and closes the back door. Austin tries to get in the hearse, but finds out that the door is locked and that the real Undertaker is in the driver's seat. The Undertaker drives away with Kane in the back to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for August 16, 1998

Kane and Mankind retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov).

"Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline show up. Jacqueline tells Sable to get "her Madison Avenue butt down here" as she has something to say to her, and tells her to put down "those ring things" and the cheap wine. Sable shows up and says she likes her wine fine and her men even finer, and that the only cheap thing around here is Jacqueline's perfume as well as Jacqueline's "day rate." Jacqueline demands her bikini contest trophy back, and says Sable does not want any part of her in the ring. She then says they can wrestle for it, and dares Sable to put "that toothpick arm" into play. Sable tells Jacqueline she will beat her at whatever game she has, whether it be a bikini contest, a wrestling match or an arm-wrestling contest, and that she is always ready to drop the bomb on her.

Edge beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen walking around in the crowd carrying a sign saying "The Choice Is Yours" on one side and "He's Coming Back" on the other. Scott "Too Hot" Taylor runs in after the match, but Edge lays him out with a clothesline.

The Godfather guests on commentary for the next match.

Bart Gunn beats Vader by disqualification after he is attacked on the outside by The Godfather. After the match, Vader and The Godfather both attack Bart Gunn.

Tomorrow night on Raw: Dan "The Beast" Severn vs. Owen Hart vs. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock!

The debuting Gangrel beats Scott "Too Hot" Taylor.

Tiger Ali Singh shows up in the ring with a manservant named Abu (who is portrayed by former Light Heavyweight Division wrestler Pablo Marquez and later named Babu). Singh says he believes that Americans have no class, no morals and no ethics, and that they are not prideful like the people of his country of India. He then says American will lower themselves to any depths for the almighty dollar and that he has proven this week after week, and that they have no more backbone than the "common, ordinary nightcrawler." After the camera cuts to Abu holding a worm, Singh claims he will pay any American $500 to come in the ring and eat the worm. A man in a D-Generation X shirt is picked out of the front row, and the man eats the worm with almost no hesitation and receives the $500, much to the delight of the crowd.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and X-Pac) beat Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) by disqualification after "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, now with shorter hair, kicks X-Pac in the groin from behind and tries to cut his hair with an electric razor. The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) run in and chase Jarrett out of the ring.

The Undertaker shows up. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who has been seen watching the show from a backstage monitor the entire night, is seen watching what is going on in the ring on the monitor. The Undertaker then tells Austin he came to the ring and challenged him like a man, and when he became the #1 contender for the WWF Championship, he vowed to him that he would be the safest S.O.B. in the World Wrestling Federation. He says that he has done everything he said he was going to do, and did everything he could to protect his investment in the WWF Championship, but the one person he could not protect him from was himself, as Austin has pissed him off. Austin is seen leaving the room and heading to the ring as The Undertaker says he came after him like a man just like he will at SummerSlam, and while he will be in his face, Austin has one foot in the grave. He tells Austin that if he is hell-bent on self-destruction, then he will meet him at the intersection to the Highway to Hell and he will take the WWF Championship from him. Austin shows up, but as he comes halfway down the aisle, Kane shows up to end the show as Austin is caught between Kane and The Undertaker.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for August 8, 1998

Bart Gunn beats Pepe Gonzales.

We hear from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says that the highway to Hell will be exactly that as The Undertaker wants to take the WWF Championship back. He says he will not give either him or WWF owner Vince McMahon the satisfaction of seeing him lose the title, as they are on the highway to Hell and he is smack dab in the middle of it. At SummerSlam, it will be one hell of a fight, but there is no way The Undertaker will take the title from him.

SummerSlam is three weeks away!

On Droz's World, Droz talks about how "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry grabbed his shirt and blew his nose in it during training, and how he got back at him by nearly puking on Mark Henry's hand. We then see a preview for the next Droz's World segment, where Droz shows off a tattoo of a dog on his rear end.

Tiger Ali Singh and Abu show up. He gives all the "American peasants" an opportunity to redeem themselves for the low-class lives that they live by having them stand up and bow down to show him the respect that he deserves for being a proud member of Asian royalty. He says there is no limit for how low an American will go for the thing they most cherish and worship: the U.S. Dollar. He then asks for a show of hands of volunteers who want to make $300 in cash today. Many people in the crowd raise their hands, and Singh says all they have to do is get in the ring and eat dog food. He also says that Abu had specially prepared a bowl of Asian curry dog food before asking Abu to pick a volunteer. Abu picks a volunteer, and a woman comes out of the crowd to head into the ring. Singh says dog food is one of the main meals that Americans eat and that it is considered a delicacy for their senior citizens. At Singh's command, the woman gets down on all fours and grovels before him before eating the dog food. He then offers her $400 for another dollars, which Abu produces. The woman gets down and eats another bite of dog food, and the woman is paid $400. The food is placed in the dog food, and the woman picks it up and wipes it off on Abu before doing a D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg' Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) crotch chop and leaving.

We hear from The Undertaker, who says that SummerSlam is near and that it will be two men, one ring and one fight. He tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that when all is said and done and he is laying flat on his back staring up at him, he should not feel bad because he was beaten by a better man.

RAW

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels starts the show in his first appearance since WrestleMania 14. He then guests on commentary for the show, saying it's good to be back and that nobody knows when he will get back in the ring. Kane, Paul Bearer and Mankind show up before The Undertaker and Vader square off, and watch from ringside.

The Undertaker beats Vader. After the match, Mankind is about to hit The Undertaker with a steel chair, but Kane takes it away from him. The Undertaker leaves the ring to get one of his own as Kane nails Vader, then Kane and Mankind leave. Edge is then seen in the crowd before the commercial break.

Charles Wey and Tyrone Wheaton of the New York Giants are seen in the front row.

"Bodacious" Bart Gunn beats "Bombastic" Bob Holly simply by landing more punches to continue on to the next round of the Brawl For All Tournament, with neither man attempting a takedown. Before the match, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler make a slight dig at Bash at the Beach, saying "The Mailman [Karl Malone] didn't deliver." At this point, the unofficial results just shows the score and do not show the points breakdown. Also, WWF referees are used for matches from this point forward. After the match, Bob Holly swipes at Bart Gunn, and both men have to be pulled apart.

The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are backstage, unhappy about D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) parody of them from last week.

Jason Sensation, the Owen Hart impersonator from last week's parody of The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, guests on commentary and imitates Owen Hart, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, The Undertaker, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Backstage, The Rock says he's flattered, but says nobody can ever be The People's Champ. The Godfather tells "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn that if he wants to be a pimp, he'll show him that "pimpin' ain't easy." (Author's note: that sounds familiar.) Mark Henry tells X-Pac he should be worried about his hands around his neck. D'Lo Brown tells "Road Dog" Jesse James he's not the one to mess with, and Owen Hart says that if Jason Sensation thinks he's funny, he'll slap the piss out of him. Jason Sensation continues to imitate Owen Hart to the point that he runs into the arena and slaps Jason Sensation before tossing him into the ring and putting him in the Sharpshooter. The rest of The Nation has to calm owen down, and D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to fight off The Nation.

We see footage from during the break where D-Generation X's ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) helps Jason Sensation to the back.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Helmsley and X-Pac) beat The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart) after Chyna distracts the referee so that Triple H can nail The Rock with the European Championship.

Sable guests on commentary for the next match. She says that the bathing suit she will be wearing at Fully Loaded will make the suit she wore at the Slammy Awards look like an evening gown. Sable also she is not at liberty to discuss her professional relationship with WWF owner Vince McMahon which allowed her to return to the World Wrestling Federation.

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero. At one point in the match, Jacqueline confronts Sable at commentary, allowing Mero to hit Blackman with a low blow as referee Jimmy Korderas is trying to keep them apart. Jacqueline tries to hit a splash on Blackman, but Sable crotches her on the top rope and Blackman is able to recover.

WAR ZONE

The Undertaker shows up before the next match and watches from ringside.

Kane and Mankind beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) to become the WWF Tag Team Champions. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart show up during the match and watch from the entrance ramp, but "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and X-Pac show up and attack them from behind. The ensuing brouhaha distracts referee Tim White, allowing D'Lo Brown to show up from out of the crowd and hit Road Dog with a frog splash from the top as "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry also shows up, allowing Kane to hit Road Dog with a Tombstone Piledriver for the win as referees and officials try to break up the ringside brawls.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley asks WWF owner Vince McMahon for a tag team title re-match and even makes the case for Vince being special guest referee. Vince tells Triple H that he knows The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) were screwed out of the tag team titles, and that he will give it some thought.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki) beat Taka Michinoku and Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and "Too Hot" Scott Taylor) after some miscommunication between Taka and Taylor. After the match, Christopher attacks Taka and tosses him out of the ring. Val Venis then shows up and tells Yamaguchi-san last week, while Kaientai came out and attacked him from behind and he slapped him across the face, he realized two things: he was wrong and that no man should ever mess with another man's wife. With that in mind, he offers him his most deepest, sincere apologies, and to show exactly how sincere he is, he offers him a special viewing of his latest video entitled "Land of the Rising Venis." The sexual acts are mosaic blurred, and then it is revealed that he slept with Yamaguchi-san's wife. Venis tells him that when they get a taste of "The Big Valbowski," they never, ever come back. Yamaguchi-san is distraught.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up. He introduces "the most demonic, twisted soul in the history of the WWF," The Undertaker. Vince asks what The Undertaker won't do to become WWF Champion, mentioning what he did to Mankind at King of the Ring and choke slamming nearly every WWF Superstar into oblivion before disguising himself as Kane and fooling everyone, including himself. Vince says that The Undertaker had to have had some help from his brother Kane, and refuses to answer everyone who has asked about. Vince says that he won't refuse to answer him, however, and asks The Undertaker if he is in cahoots with his brother Kane. The Undertaker tells Vince that if he wants an answer, he can go to Hell. Vince asks The Undertaker who he thinks he is, then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. Austin tells Vince that The Undertaker told him to go to Hell, and to spin around so he can kick him in the ass and give him a head-start. As far as The Undertaker goes, at least he had the decency to challenge him face-to-face like a man, and that he can respect that, but the problem is that they are tag team partners at Fully Loaded against Kane and Mankind. He wants to know if it's the two of them against two opponents, or if it will be him against three opponents, and he wants to know where The Undertaker is coming from. The Undertaker tells Austin to go to Hell with him. Suddenly, D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) shows up. Triple H says everyone is looking for answers, then calls Austin and The Undertaker "the two toughest S.O.B.s in the business today," before saying that Road Dog and Billy Gunn will get their rematch and that Vince will find out if The Undertaker and Kane are in cahoots. Triple H then demands three referees for the tag team title rematch: one on the inside, and two special guest enforcers on the outside: Austin and The Undertaker. Vince gives them the tag team rematch without hesitation, then DX tells Vince to suck it.

Dan "The Beast" Severn beats "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa by scoring more points to continue on to the next round in the Brawl For All Tournament. The fans are heard booing at the end of the match.

Before the next match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up with a cooler full of cans of beer.

. During the match, Mankind is whipped into referee Mike Chioda, knocking him out. "Stone Cold" Steve AUstin tries to make a pinfall with Road Dog has Kane in a small package, but The Undertaker pulls him out of the ring and Kane hits Road Dog with a choke slam. The Undertaker makes the pin for Kane, but Austin interrupts the count. Kane hits Austin with a cheap shot as Austin confronts The Undertaker, then Kane and Mankind brawl with Austin and The Undertaker. The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) runs in, as does the rest of D-Generation X, ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), and The Nation and DX brawl in the ring along with the other four men as the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 9, 1997

Before the next match, it is noticed during The Nation of Domination's entrance that Crush and Savio Vega are reluctant to do the Black power salute that is customary of their entrance.

Ahmed Johnson and The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) beat The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Savio Vega) after extreme miscommunication between Faarooq, Crush and Vega that leads to Crush and Vega walking out on Faarooq.

The King of the Ring encore is tomorrow night on pay-per-view at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central.

Vince McMahon interviews Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna in the ring. Helmsley says he should have been King of the Ring a year ago, but because of Vince and his politics, he never got a shot, and what he did last night was him taking his career out of Vince's hands and into his own because he couldn't get the job done, and nobody in the WWF is ever going to stand in his way again. He deems the ring to be his house and his backyard, and says the door is wide open for any WWF Superstar that wants to step in with him. Mankind is then heard on the TitanTron, wanting admission to his house of pain as well as a rematch. Helmsley says he enjoyed every minute of what he did to Mankind last night, as every time Mankind got back up, it meant there was more he could do with him. He then consults with Chyna, who tells Mankind to come into the ring and kiss her ass. Mankind says it's Chyna's lucky day, because he's a good kisser. It doesn't take long for Mankind to make his way to the ring only for Helmsley to attack him with his crown just like he did last night. Helmsley and Chyna then leave the ring, but Mankind takes the crown and puts it on.

We see The British Bulldog's road to the WWF European Championship, which features live event match footage against Mankind and Vader from the tournament.

Goldust almost beats The British Bulldog for the WWF European Championship, but the referee realizes that Bulldog had his foot on the bottom rope during the pinfall and the match continues. Goldust and The British Bulldog then wrestle to a double count-out, and when Bulldog continues to attack Goldust, he is smacked by Marlena not once, but twice. Bulldog grabs a steel chair and pushes the referee away when he tries to stop him. Bulldog is about to swing the chair when Ken Shamrock shows up and takes Bulldog down. Bulldog decides to retreat instead of take on Shamrock.

Dok Hendric is backstage behind The Nation of Domination's locker room. The door is locked, but there is loud arguing behind the door. Faarooq comes out and tells Hendrix that he's got something to say and that he is heading to the ring to say it now. Hendrix enters the Nation's locker room. Crush tells him to leave, but Savio Vega says he gave Faarooq he gave him the back of his own people. Crush tells Hendrix not to come in unless he is invited, and says The Nation is doing just fine before he tells him to get out before he knocks his teeth down his throat. Jim Ross then interviews Faarooq in the ring. Faarooq says he recruited people who would watch his back at all costs, only to be stabbed in the back. Faarooq fires Savio Vega and Crush. He then tells everyone with him in a tuxedo to leave, then tells D'Lo Brown to hold the ropes open for Clarence Mason, whom he also fires. Faarooq says that from this day forward, there will be a new Nation formed under Faarooq that is more powerful and more loyal than before. He then wants the two people in WWF he hates most - The Undertaker and Ahmed Johnson - to be the first two victims of the "New Nation," and challenges them to a match next week on Raw.

"The Wildman" Marc Mero is backstage, and so is Sable...

"The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer and Paul E. Dangerously of Extreme Championship Wrestling show up in the crowd to watch the next match from the front row.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon.

Jerry "the King" Lawler is backstage with Rob Van Dam, who is somehow on Raw despite Paul E. Dangerously doing all he can to keep him off the show. If Paul E. Dangerously and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer interfere, there will be hell to pay.

The intro to the show is replayed to signify the start of the second hour. At this point, the graphics for "War Zone" are shown and is treated as its own section proper.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is interviewed in the ring by Vince McMahon. Austin says he's proud of giving Brian Pillman a swirly, and says that he's only sorry that the toilet wasn't full of "certain contents." As for tonight, Pillman is getting his ass kicked up and down the ring and hit with the Stone Cold Stunner when Austin sees fit before Austin drags him to the back and finishes him off. When asked about Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's challenge for In Your House: Canadian Stampede, he volunteers for the match, and says he'll stampede The Hart Foundation regardless of whether or not he has four guys with him. He then tells WWF President Gorilla Monsoon he'll beat his fat ass like he did Bret's if he gets in his way, and says he'll beat up the whole Hart family if he has to.

Vince McMahon and Jim Ross read some fan comments about King of the Ring from America On-Line.

Paul E. Dangerously and WWF officials have to keep "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer from swinging a steel chair at Jerry "The King" Lawler and Rob Van Dam before the next match.

We see the promo for SummerSlam 1996, which won a Promax Award this year.

We see footage from last Saturday night at ECW Arena, where Jerry "The King" Lawler was in action. Jerry "The King" Lawler guests on commentary for the next match, his voice hoarse from the effects of Mankind's Mandible Claw from last night.

"Mr. Monday Night" Rob Van Dam beats Flash Funk. Paul E. Dangerously and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer jump the guardrail and go after RVD and Jerry "The King" Lawler after the match, and officials have to keep all four men apart.

Jim Ross tells the audience that he has interviewed wrestlers for over 20 years, but after this recent one, he never felt so helpless and wishes that he did not take the assignment. We then see the final part of the interview with Mankind. Mankind says Cactus Jack would have set the WWF on its ear if he showed up, and wonders why Vince McMahon did not take him when he was good and when he was good. He states that this is where the Mandible Claw, its power tempered in mercy, comes from. He wonders why "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels looks like he does and why he himself looks like he does, and wonders why his boyhood dream coming true has never come true. He wishes Shawn and the other WWF Superstars nothing but personal trauma and tragedy in their personal and professional lives, wanting the suffering to be on the other side as well as be the cause of it, as he considers it a nice day. When asked if diagnosed with any mental disorders, Mankind says he doesn't believe in doctors and that if there was something wrong with his mind, he'd be the first one to know. Jim Ross then asks if he thinks it's time to look in the mirror and accepted personal responsibility for who he is, Mankind tells Jim Ross to end the interview, saying that he has the power to tell the truth about him but neglects to do it. Mankind asks JR what it is about pain that he loves, saying it hurts, especially when he can't play with his son or when a doctor injects a needle into his spine so he can wrestle one more day. He says Jim Ross has misled people by saying that he is having the time of his life when he is in pain, and inflicts the Mandible Claw on him. After the interview has aired, Jim Ross takes personal responsibility for "pushing some buttons" and asking some personal questions of Mankind.

After several months, the former Smoking Gunns finally have their rematch as Rockabilly beats his brother Bart Gunn.

The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) attack a cameraman backstage.

The Hart Foundation (Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) attack "Stone Cold" Steve Austin during his ring entrance, and his tag team title belt is used against him as a weapon. Mankind shows up out of nowhere and fights Pillman in the ring. Mankind takes Austin's place, and as Austin is helped to and tended to in the back, Mankind vs. Brian Pillman becomes an official, albeit impromptu, match. It is then announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels have both been tossed out of the building after an "unprofessional display of conduct."

Mankind beats Brian Pillman by disqualification when Owen Hart, The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart show up and attack Mankind. A hurt "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up, as does "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, to even the numbers game. WWF officials keep The Hart Foundation (Owen, Bulldog, Neidhart, Pillman) from Austin then hits Shamrock with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for April 12, 1997

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog beat Barry Horowitz and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly.

A picture of a bloodied Vader on the cover and hot photos of Sable can be seen in the newest issue of Raw Magazine, available on newsstands this Tuesday.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Honky Tonk Man in the ring. Honky says that when someone like "Double J" Jesse Jackson takes his prized Gibson guitar and breaks it, it hurts him real bad. He says that the things have been happening in the WWF are hurting him real bad, but he has a boxcar load of shiny new guitars and he can promise everyone that on April 20th at In Your House, he will have his man there, and he can promise everyone that the hits are just going to keep on coming. He says that all you have to do is line them up, and he and his protege will knock them down, as he has "the rockin' pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu" and his man will shake, rattle and roll.

Bart Gunn vs. Leif Cassidy ends in a no-contest when Mankind runs into the ring and applies the Mandible Claw to Bart Gunn. Just before this, Brian Pillman leaves the commentary to agitate Bart Gunn and Leif Cassidy but is unsuccessful.

Billy Gunn beats Freddie Joe Floyd with a spinning DDT off the top rope.

It's time for Sunny Undercover. Sunny says the hottest thing going in the WWF is the reconciliation of The British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and that these three men want nothing more than to monopolize the championship gold of the WWF. They already have the European and tag team gold, but Bret plans on taking his frustrations out on Rocky Maivia and win the Intercontinental Championship for the third time. She also says that "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is fair game for all the WWF Superstars after his actions at WrestleMania 13, but that it may be a "Beast" and not a Superstar that may beat Shamrock at his own game. Sunny then recaps Mankind burning The Undertaker with a fireball, and asks if The Undertaker could be horribly disfigured after his face was not seen during a recent interview. She also wants to know what is going on with Jim Cornetete, who is keeping a low profile after splitting with Owen Hart and The British Bulldog and trying to manage another tag team. She says that if Jim Cornette can't take Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon to the top of the tag team division, then she will be back and ringside and taking them to the tag team titles herself.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 24, 1997

The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) say they have returned to the WWF for the tag team titles, and they don't care who they beat to get them and become the greatest tag team champs of all time. Hawk is ready to rip some breainstems out, and also says that if they have to bring another kitchen sink, he would prefer something other than stainless steel.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat Owen Hart and The British Bulldog by disqualification after Bulldog shoves the referee. Owen Hart and The British Bulldog retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. During the match, Thrasher inadvertantly sends The British Bulldog into Owen Hart, who has his back turned to the ring. Bulldog and Owen argue again, and this time, Owen almost walks out on him. Later, The Bulldog helps Owen out again while the ref is distracted with Mosh, and Owen argues with Bulldog again because of it. As they argue, Bulldog shoves the ref. Owen and Bulldog finally come to blows and go at it, and officials have to pull them off each other. Owen then tells Bulldog that he is "sick and tired of [his] crap" and carrying the team, and says he's the only reason Bulldog is a champion and that he could have beaten Bulldog for the European Championship at anytime. He says that he is the captain of the team and that he is the best. He tells Bulldog that is if he is any kind of a man, he would give him a shot for the European Championship at any time, then calls him "a worthless coward." Bulldog says the Slammys mean nothing to him, and that he beat Owen fair and square for the European Championship. Nevertheless, Bulldog gives Owen a shot as the people know that he is the best, and he doesn't care when it happens, but it will be the only shot Owen will get. He then tells Owen to keep himself in line, as they still have the tag titles to defend. Owen says he will put family aside and kick Bulldog's butt.

Mankind is in the boiler room. Mankind says "he" is gone, and that "he" has left him. When asked who "he" is, "he" turns out to be "Uncle Paul," a reference to Paul Bearer. He says his WWF Championship won't mean anything without him, and asks "Uncle Paul" to come back and tells him not to make him find him.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is on the TitanTron, and has a message for the American fans. He requests to get all the time that he needs to provide that message later tonight, and tells Vince McMahon that he will not use abusive language.

Hunter Heast Helmsley beats Bart Gunn with the help of Chyna. During the match, Goldust says there are no more words, and that now, there are only actions. Last night, as he carried Marlena back to the dressing room, it was the longest walk of his life. He says that Hunter has silenced the lamb, and that his pain will be deafening. With Chyna banned from ringside in their match next week, there will be no more sequels, as Raw is war. He vows that Hunter will remember the name of Marlena. Also, we see more of Chyna's formidable strength as she scoop slams Bart Gunn outside of the ring as Hunter distracts the referee.

The team of Venum, Super Nova and Discovery beat the team of El Mosco, Hysteria and Abismo Negro. During the match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart demands to know where the time for his message is. Vince promises Hart he will get plenty of time tonight.

In footage from earlier tonight, Vince McMahon interviews Rocky Maivia and Rocky Johnson. Rocky Maivia says that he will never forget WrestleMania 13, yet reveals that he he has a pact with his father in which his father not intefere in his matches. Rocky Johnson tells him that paid his own way to get there as he reminds Maivia that he carries their family name. At the same time, any man that has feelings for his son will not watch three men try to hurt him, and promises he will never interferes in his matches again.

The Honky Tonk Man guests on commentary for the next match.

Flash Funk beats The Brooklyn Brawler.

Ken Shamrock is on the TitanTron. He stopped last night's Submission Match because "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was in a great deal of pain throughout the match, and that he had to protect him when he went unconscious. Shamrock admits that Austin did not say that he was quit, but he was hired to call the match down the middle and had to end it with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart as the winner as Austin could not protect himself. He says that a lot of pain was dished out, but he had to step in when Hart attacked Austin after the match when it was clear that Hart wanted to end Austin's career. At the end of the day, he admits that he and Austin have traded harsh words in the past and that he doesn't care for him, but he gives credit where credit is due and says that Austin has no quit in him and that he is one of the toughest men he has ever seen.

The intro is replayed to signify the beginning of the second hour.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up. Hart apologizes to all of his fans throughout the world, but not to his fans for America. He tells the American fans that he apologizes to them for nothing, as no matter how much he tries, especially after "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a bloody pulp, the American fans treat him he just lost a match. He blasts the fans for cheering Austin after the match like he won. He then says that when the WWF Championship was around his waist shortly before this time last year, it was where it belonged, but when the fans cheered for "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, they allowed Shawn to screw him out of the title. When he found him watching WWF at home in Canada, and when the WWF needed a role model that they could look up to, he says that Shawn did not fit the bill due to his wearing earrings and posing for "a gay magazine" such as Playgirl. As a result, he saw this as a calling to come back and clean up the WWF, and beat Austin at Survivor Series and garnered a little bit of respect. He then faced Sycho Sid, but Shawn cost him the WWF Championship...and nobody cared, saying that the American says didn't do anything about it. At the Royal Rumble match, he had the match won as the last legal man in the ring, but, in his words, the fans turned on him and justified in their minds that Austin won. He says a better man would have quit, and that maybe he should have quit and gone home. He has Vince McMahon and Gorilla Monsoon on their hands and knees, begging him not to quit and to think of his fans. He came back, and when In Your House: Final Four happened, he won. He also states that Shawn faked an injury so he could vacate the WWF Championship and "find his smile." The next night, he put the title on the line, and he had the match won after being booed all through the match by the American fans, only for Austin to smack in the back of the head with a steel chair, and blames the American fans, saying they find this perfectly acceptable. After that, he wanted Steve Austin, and got him in a Submission Match. Before that, he had his steel cage match with Sycho Sid, and The Undertaker ruined his chances of becoming a five-time WWF Championship. He then says that everyone in the World Wrestling Federation "screwed" him and that the American wrestling fans abandoned him. He went into the Submission Match with the plan of giving Austin "an old-fashioned ass whuppin'," and after doing what he said to do, the American fans booed him and cheered Austin. Hart says he's proven himself so many times in the World Wrestling Federation and tried to be everything the fans wanted him to be, but it seems to him that nobody understands what it's like to have dignity, poise, prestige and class, as the American fans would rather cheer for someone like Charles Manson or O.J. Simpson, "as nobody glorifies criminal conduct like the Americans do." Every other country he has been to respects what's right and what's wrong, and tells the American wrestling fans that they don't respect him...and he doesn't respect them, either, as they don't deserve it. From here on in, the American wrestling fans can kiss his ass. All of a sudden, Shawn Michaels shows up, and tells Bret that he can say whatever he wants about him as everyone does, and that he doesn't have to explain to him or the WWF that he would never give up the WWF Championship, as nobody knows better than him or the WWF that it takes a hand-written note "from the Lord almighty" to get the title from him. As he gets in the ring, he tells Bret that just because he chooses to live his life openly and freely instead of putting on a facade like him, does not make Bret a better man. Shawn says that he is aware of his faults, and that he can admit them up and down the line. As far as Austin is concerned, he was there, and Austin did not give up. He admits he is not a fan of Austin, but he knows Austin passed out, and says that Bret has enough "Hit Man" left in him to admit that Austin is "one tough S.O.B." Shawn then says that he has tried to take the high road, but he is tired of Bret acting like he owns the place while he is here because he enjoys wrestling. He reminds Bret that when the fans pay a ticket to come to the arena, they have the right to cheer or boo whoever they want. He says he never got bent out of shape about being both booed and cheered, because the United States has something called the First Amendment, which allows people to live their lives as they see fit as long as it causes harm to no one. Shawn admits that he is in no shape to wrestle, but if Bret wants to go at it with him, they can go at it right now. Shawn then says that there is an old saying in America: "Love it or leave it." Hart tells Shawn that he should go back to the dressing room and out of his face, but Shawn gets in his face and stares him down, then tells him he's not good with authority. He then asks Hart how he knew he was in "that girly magazine," and says Hart couldn't help himself and had to flip through the pages a little bit. Shawn then tosses the microphone in Hart's direction and is about to leave the ring when Hart goes right for his knee and puts him in a Figure Four Leg Lock on the ring post. As officials try to pull Hart off Shawn, Sycho Sid shows up and chases Hart into the ring, daring Hart to fight him. Hart walks up the entrance ramp and heads back to the back, and teases changing his mind and getting back in the ring as Sid calls him a chicken.

Rocky Maivia beats Leif Cassidy. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows back up, this time on commentary. When Vince McMahon asks Bret why he has snapped, Bret says he has not snapped and that he has just "opened his eyes," and asks Vince "Why don't you open up yours?" As Bret speaks, we see footage of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels being helped out of the arena, and Vince tells Bret that he is flushing his legacy down the toilet. Bret doesn't care, saying that every other country but the United States of America has given him respect, and if Vince wants to see bad, he'll show him bad. He does just that by attacking Rocky Maivia from behind, taking his knee out and trying tod estroy the leg. Leif Cassidy gives Bret the thumbs up as he leaves, then Bret flips a kid off as he looks at the fans in disdain as he heads back to the back.

Ahmed Johnson beats Savio Vega by disqualification after The Nation of Domination pull Savio Vega out of the ring. Before the match, it is announced that Faarooq is suffering a separated shoulder and a puncture lung, and is currently in the hospital. It is announced that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be back and appearing on Raw next week, and so will Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. After the ring, Ahmed tells The Nation of Domination that this has gone too far, and makes them a deal: if he beats one of them, they have to leave the WWF. The Nation don't seem to give Ahmed much of a response.

Paul Bearer is seen backstage. He is here to speak to someone specific...

The Undertaker in interviewed in the ring by Vince McMahon, who congratulates him for winning the WWF Championship. The Undertaker welcomes everyone to "the dark days of the World Wrestling Federation," and announces that this title is theirs and that he is the knight who will fight anyone who tries to oppose the fans. He thanks Sycho Sid for being a man and having the courage to step in the ring against him, and applauds him for his efforts. When his time is due, he will give him his chance as well. 'Taker says his first reign was short, because he lost his edge, but due to people like Mankind, he must stay sharp. He admits that Mankind is the most dangerous individual in the World Wrestling Federation, and that Mankind has made him a better gladiator. If Mankind applies the Mandible Claw to anyone, they will go down. Suddenly, Paul Bearer walks down the entrance ramp, and Bearer tells The Undertaker that if he still feels the need to beat him up, then he will have to do what he has to do. Nevertheless, Bearer asks 'Taker for a minute of his time, Mankind then appears on the TitanTron, crying out for Bearer as Bearer tells 'Taker that everything he has done, he has done it for him. The show then ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 17, 1997

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin goes after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart during the opening bout of Hart vs. Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship. Sid fights Austin, but Austin hits Sycho Sid with a chop block to the knee and Hart has to fight Austin off. Despite being in pain, Sid still wants to wrestle Hart, but the match is over before it can begin.

Kevin Kelly interviews Sycho Sid in the locker room. Sid says that sleet, snow, rain, high water or even "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will stop him from reaching his destiny and becoming WWF Champion, as he is the master and ruler of the world. It is announced that Sid will get his title shot against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart later tonight.

"Wildman" Marc Mero vs. Savio Vega ends when Sable has to hide behind Mero from the rest of The Nation of Domination. Ahmed Johnson quickly rushes to the ring to attack The Nation.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says that all he can do is focus on every battle and not worry about "Stone Cold" Steve Austin dogging his every move. He plans to retain the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid and then go on to the next challenge. He says that if you stop looking after #1, you start "stepping on #2." He says to bring on The Undertaker after he retains against Sid, and tells Jerry "The King" Lawler to shut up when Lawler asks him if he's happy that Sid's knee is injured.

Sunny is special guest timekeeper for the next match.

Rocky Maivia retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Leif Cassidy. During the match, we hear from Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who says that Rocky Maivia is the luckies punk in the world and that Rocky couldn't beat him in a million years, and that Rocky has his Intercontinental Championship, which he plans to take back. Rocky only had the better of him because of Goldust, and says this isn't over between him and Goldust. He knows that Goldust is in the building tonight, and if he finds him, he's all his. It is also announced that Raw will air in two weeks from Berlin, Germany, where the finals of the tournament for the WWF European Championship will take place. After the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler grabs an "ECW rules" sign from a fan and badmouths Extreme Championship Wrestling, calling it a promotion full of "thugs, misfits and has-beens" and saying that he is sick and tired of people bringing ECW signs to shows. He then issues a challenge to ECW to come to Raw next week and prove that they've got what it takes.

Kevin Kelly interviews Goldust and Marlena in the ring. Goldust says everyone knows he is from the Hollywood Hills, but this is reality. He tells Hunter Hearst Helmsley that this is now personal due to the indecent proposal he has made towards Marlena, and he has crossed a line. He says all the money in the world cannot buy Marlena, and the only way to her is over his dead body. Marlena says there has been speculation about Goldust's masculinity and manhood, and while they play a lot of games, Goldust is all man, and more of a man than Helmsley will ever be. Helmsley shows up and confronts Goldust and Marlena at ringside, and throws water into Goldust's face before attacking him. After a Pedigree, Marlena turns Helmsley around and slaps him, but the muscular woman who appeared at In Your House: Final Four and attacked Marlena shows up and attacks her again, grabbing her from behind and shaking her back and forth in a bear hug like a rag doll. Once again, she is escorted out of the arena from officials and arena security. After the carnage, Goldust carries Marlena to the back once again.

The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) beat The Hardy Boys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). During the match, Faarooq says he finishes everything he starts, and calls Ahmed Johnson "a big front" who lives the high life and has no idea what the streets are like. He says that Ahmed has an advantage over everyone else and that Ahmed doesn't have to die to go to Hell, for Ahmed is in it, Faarooq is the devil, and Faarooq has all his demons with him. Faarooq proposes a Chicago Street Fight between him and Ahmed at WrestleMania 13 to show Ahmed what the streets are really like. It is also announced that the WWF Championship between Sycho Sid and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart from earlier tonight will happen as intended tonight.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin attacks Bret "The Hit Man" Hart again, this time backstage before his match with Sid. Sycho Sid comes back to the back to break it up, and Vince McMahon is also backstage to separate both men.

Kevin Kelly interviews WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who admits that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has a personal vendetta against Bret "The Hit Man' Hart and states that WWF will indeed deliver Sycho Sid vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWF Championship tonight as intended.

Owen Hart beats Flash Funk after The British Bulldog hits Funk in the back with Owen Hart's Slammy Award and holds down one of Flash Funk's legs during the pinfall. It is announced before the match that Marlena is coughing up blood due to the attack on her from earlier tonight and is being taken to hospital. During the match, Jim Ross tells Jerry "The King" Lawler that he has a phone call from a representative of Extreme Championship Wrestling, who turns out to be none other than Paul E. Dangerously, also known as Paul Heyman, who accepts Lawler's challenge for next week. After Heyman hangs up, The British Bulldog confronts Clarence Mason and forces him to get out of ringside, saying that he will cost Owen Hart the match. After the commercial break, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin says he's already gone over the edge and very close to whipping WWF President Gorilla Monsoon's ass as he says he would be WWF Championship if it weren't for WWF holding him back. He plans to open a whole keg of whupass all over the World Wrestling Federation.

WrestleMania 13 is coming live to pay-per-view on March 23!

The Honky Tonk Man guests on commentary for the next match. Also, Hunter Hearst Helmsley says that he has no idea who the woman who has attacked Marlena twice in 24 hours is, and also doesn't care. The Superstar Line has updates on both "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and negotiations involving top WWF Superstars on Option 6.

Bart Gunn beats Hunter Hearst Helmsley by count-out after Goldust rushes into the ring and chases Hunter through the stands and out of the arena.

We hear from Dr. James Andrews from HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He states that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels' injury dates back from five years ago when he tore a ligament, and that his recent surgery has to do with that torn ligament. Shawn has a degenerated area on the inner side of his knee that is sore, and the twist from a week or two ago may have set his injury off. It has been recommended that Shawn not have surgery at this point, and that he will be rehabbed at his home in San Antonio, Texas. In four to six weeks, he will be re-assessed, and that he may get better without the need for surgery.

After "Stone Cold" Steve Austin rushes out through the crowd to attack Bret "The Hit Man" Hart yet again - which he succeeds at doing by landing a successful chair shot from the apron as the referee is unable to see it during the Sharpshooter - Sycho Sid beats Bret "The Hit Man" Hart to win the WWF Championship for a second time, ending Hart's fourth reign after only a day. After the match, the arena lights blink before going dark, and The Undertaker makes his presence known. The show ends with both men staring each other down.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 20, 1997

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up unannounced with something to say to Vince McMahon. He says that when he came back to the WWF, Vince promised him an opportunity to fight for the WWF Championship. Vince put him in the ring with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and said that if he could beat Austin, he would be #1 contender. Hart, however, finds it convenient that Shawn is at ringside on commentary as he faces Sycho Sid and doesn't think it's a coincidence that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels was there costing him the WWF Championship and forcing him to partake in the Royal Rumble match to get his title shot there. Hart says he is the true winner of the Royal Rumble match and that he should be the one getting a shot at the WWF Championship. Instead, he has been screwed by Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, the WWF and Vince McMahon. As Vince McMahon paces back and forth, Bret realizes he won't get an opportunity at the WWF Championship, and quits. Hart drops the microphone, and as Vince tells Bret not to do this, Bret leaves through the crowd. Suddenly, Steve Austin shows up, and tells Bret Hart he can belly-ache and complain with the best of them and that all he has done is cry since he returned, and that when the going gets tough, the Harts get going back home. He tells Bret Hart to go back to Canada as the only person he can beat is his own father in the Hart Dungeon. Austin counters Bret Hart saying he's been jerked around by the WWF by saying that he's been jerked around for seven years, and that he's found out through WWF President Gorilla Monsoon that Sycho Sid is out with a concussion and that he won't be able to compete. Austin says Sid has a yellow streak down his back, while Monsoon has a bunch of bananas and that he knows where Monsoon can stick each and every one of them. He wants a match with The Undertaker, as he tossed him over the top rope at the end of the Royal Rumble match last night and he'll do it again tonight. Vince McMahon heads to the back.

It is announced that Royal Rumble had a record crowd of 60,525 people in attendance last night.

The encore for Royal Rumble is tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central.

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog beat Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon. During the match, it is announced that The Undertaker has been fined his entire Royal Rumble purse for choke slamming a WWF official last night. Also, when it is announced that back-to-back episodes of La Femme Nikita will air after Raw, Jim Ross brings up the idea of "putting Nikita in the ring with Robin Hood" and saying that WWF doesn't "bait and switch" their viewers in a shot at World Championship Wrestling for the end of last week's Nitro, when TNT showed the main event during commercial breaks as the season premiere of The New Adventures of Robin Hood aired.

Faarooq beats Bart Gunn after Bart Gunn attacks J.C. Ice and Wolfie D of the Nation of Domination for placing Faarooq's foot on the rope during a pinfall attempt, which leads to Faarooq hitting Bart Gunn from the apron to the outside before finishing him with the Dominator. Vince McMahon and WWF President Gorilla Monsoon show up after the match.

Vince McMahon and WWF President Gorilla Monsoon are in the ring. Monsoon admits a real travesty occurred in the Royal Rumble match, and while the referee's decision is final, he has created a four-man no-disqualification elimination match, with the winner facing the WWF Champion at WrestleMania 13. The four participants are three men illegally eliminated by "Stone Cold" Steve Autsin: The Undertaker, Vader, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart (assuming he accepts Monsoon's invitation) as well as Austin himself. Austin shows up, grabs the microphone, and tells Monsoon he can't have a four-way match because Hart walked out. He also asks Monsoon if WWF has the "instant replay rule," before telling Monsoon he calls himself "the Gorilla" when he "hee-haws his way out like a jackass." Austin then tells Monsoon he'll "toss [his] carcass around the arena" after he wins the four-way match. Vince confronts Austin when Austin gets in Monsoon's face, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows back up through the crowd. Hart gets in the ring, grabs the microphone, tells Monsoon he accepts and says that they don't have to wait until February because he and Austin can get it on right now, which they do. Officials have to break Hart and Austin up as they brawl in the aisle. Hart is escorted to the back after the commercial break while Austin stays in the ring to square off against The Undertaker. Before the match, however, Hart and Taker start brawling, and when Hart is escorted to the back, Austin tries to attack 'Taker from behind only for 'Taker to fire back, starting their main event match early.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker ends with Vader, who is now being managed by Paul Bearer, getting into the ring only to be choke slammed by The Undertaker. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler tries to get Austin's attention by telling him to work on The Undertaker's broken ribs. Also, Vader and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart are both seen backstage being held by officials before another brawl can take place. Vader gets choke slammed, then Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up and evens the numbers with 'Taker and Hart fighting off Austin and Vader as officials rush to the ring to separate all four men. Austin retreats, but Hart leaves the ring to fight Austin yet again as 'Taker and Vader continue to fight inside the ring.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 16, 1996

The show begins with Jim Ross interviewing Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in the ring. As bitter as ever, Hart says his mother always told him "Never ruin an apology with an excuse," but he's going to have to come up with an excuse as there is no good reason why he is not WWF Champion right now. Since he came back, things have changed as he can't tell friend from foe these days and "there are no rules" in the WWF. He tells "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Sycho Sid, and everybody in the WWF to understand one thing: if there's no rules, that's fine by him as he doesn't need them. He calls Shawn "a little prissy," and says he gave him his word that he would not interfere last night, yet proved he was set out to cost him the WWF Championship since day one and that he can never be as good as him. Hart says he will do anything and everything to get right back on top, and with some reluctance, he announces his candidacy for the Royal Rumble match, saying that the other 29 participants are in trouble. He then announces that he will guest on commentary in "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels' match to "call it right down the middle and be a nice, regular announcer" and "just mind [his] own business." Hart then guests on commentary for the next match.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Vader by disqualification in a Toughman Match when Bret "The Hit Man" Hart gets up from his seat on commentary and hits Austin with a chop block before putting him in the Sharpshooter. After the match, Vader tries to fight Bret, and Bret releases the Sharpshooter on Austin to brawl with Vader. Officials break the brawl up, then Bret puts the Sharpshooter on Austin again until officials break that up.

Next week on Raw: Bret "The Hit Man" Hart vs. "Razor Ramon!"

"Diesel" and "Razor Ramon" beat The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn).

Sycho Sid says nobody will take the WWF Championship, as he is the master of the game he plays. Anyone who steps in the ring with him will go down. He's going into Shawn Michael's backyard, but he thrives on adversity and plans to take Shawn ten feet up and ten feet down one more time at Royal Rumble. He tells Jose Lothario to stay at home where he belongs.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels says he's been humiliated before. He says that the problem between him and Sycho Sid is what happened to Jose Lothario, and while he doesn't cry over spilled milk, he promises to take back the WWF Championship. Shawn says he doesn't make excuses, and make his living every week on national television, and he plans to lay it all on the line at Royal Rumble. He tells Bret "The Hit Man" Hart that he's not him, that he wouldn't want to be him, and even if he was able, he wouldn't.

Doug Furnas and Philip LaFon beat Dr. X and T.L. Hopper.

Billy Gunn says he's already to lock up with Bart Gunn, and tonight he plans to show the WWF why he's the top Gunn.

In the continuing adventures of George and Adam, we find out George won a bet.

Sable beats Jerry "The King" Lawler in the finals of the Karate Fighters Holiday Tournament. Lawler accuses Sable of cheating and demands a rematch. "Wildman" Marc Mero fights Lawler, but is easily double teamed by Lawler and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Goldust shows up, nearly knocks Sable down on the way to the ring and fights Helmsley until he sends him over the guardrail. Mero chases Helmsley into the crowd while Sable runs to the back. Goldust gets in the ring, and Lawler confronts him, saying Marlena should be happy Helmsley made a pass at her before asking Goldust if he is "a queer." Goldust says no, then slaps Lawler in the face.

The WWF carolers, orchestrated by "Classy" Freddy Blassie, wish us season's greetings.

In Your House: It's Time will be replayed three times tomorrow on DirecTV beginning in the early evening, and on Wednesday at 7 PM Eastern, 6 PM Central on Request TV, due to technical difficulties from last night's broadcast.

Bart Gunn beats Billy Gunn by referee stoppage as horrified members of the Gunn family watch. Family members rush to the ring after Billy Gunn is injured after Bart sends Billy neck-first into the ropes, and tend to Billy. Billy is taken out of the arena on a stretcher as the show ends.

It is announced that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will guest on commentary for Bret "The Hit Man" Sycho Sid vs. Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship at In Your House: It's Time.

Sycho Sid beats Hunter Hearst Helmsley by count-out after Helmsley crawls away in retreat.

During the next match, Billy Gunn calls brother Bart Gunn "pathetic" and says that he carried him his entire career while holding the tag team titles three times.

Goldust beats Bart Gunn after Bart Gunn hurts his knee on a top rope cross body. Billy Gunn shows up and says that Bart is nothing without him and that "this is what happens when Billy Gunn's not around." Bart Gunn punches Billy Gunn in the face, sending Billy running to the back.

Uncle Zebekiah tells Jesse James that he's going to go to war when he is up against him and Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, and Bradshaw tells James that he'll be squealing like a branded cow instead of singing after the match.

Jesse James beats Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw and Uncle Zebekiah in a handicap match when Zebekiah accidentally hits Bradshaw with the branding iron after James ducks. After the match, Bradshaw knocks Zebekiah down and brands him with the branding iron.

Jim Ross interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in the ring. Hart says that the one thing he has learned is that things get crazier and crazier in the World Wrestling Federation, and that his match with Sycho Sid on Sunday will be a war. Hart says he has been repeatedly focused on the WWF Championship, and that he will finally obtain it when he excellently executes Sid.

We see footage of Mankind sitting barefoot in the sands of Dubai during the recent WWF tour of the Middle East, crying out for Paul Bearer and wanting desperately to go home.

We see the continuing adventures of George and Adam, this time in the arena locker room.

The Undertaker beats Mankind in a No Holds Barred Match. After the match, The Executioner puts The Undertaker in an Asiatic Spike as the show ends.

It is revealed at the beginning of the show that the reason The British Bulldog wanted to confront "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels last night was because of rumors that Michaels slept with his wife, Diana Hart Smith. When Michaels won his match last night, The British Bulldog headed down the aisles after In Your House went off the air.

Mankind beats Bart Gunn with the two fingers to the esophagus. We find out that the music that plays when Mankind wins has a calming effect on him.

Jim Ross interviews Bart Gunn, who says that Mankind's submission move was so devastating he couldn't move. As he speaks, Mankind shows up and sticks his fingers down Bart Gunn's esophagus again.

Savio Vega guests on commentary for the next match, and shows up with a leather strap, and immediately challenges "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a Carribean Strap Match at the next In Your House.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Scott Taylor with the Million Dollar Dream. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler almost gets whipped by Savio Vega. After the match, Savio Vega challenges Steve Austin to the Carribean Strap Match. Austin and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase reject the challenge. DiBiase leaves the ring, but Austin does not, and Vega smacks Austin from ebhind with the leather strap.

Vince McMahon interviews The British Bulldog and his wife Diana Hart Smith in the ring. He then introduces "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Michaels says that one month ago, nobody thought his wrestling style would last sixty minutes against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, but he adapated to Hart's style, danced for 63 minutes, and came out on top. Last night, nobody thought his wrestling style would hold up against Diesel, but he held his own and gave Diesel an ass-whipping of his own. Michaels then says he can adapt to any style and that he is ready for the best the WWF has to offer. Jim Cornette confronts The Heartbreak Kid for sleeping with Diana Hart Smith. It is shown through last night's footage that a production assistant asked Diana to come with him to the back, as Jim Cornette was in trouble. She goes to the back. Cornette was not waiting there, but Michaels supposedly was. Cornette says that Michaels put his arm around her, took her to a dark corner and propositioned her. Cornette wants to know what kind of person what do this, and calls Michaels a sleazebag (among other things). Cornette then forces Michaels to face Diana, and accuses Michaels of being a fornicator. Diana tells Michaels he knows he wants her, but Michaels tells her with all due respect not to flatter herself. Diana slaps Michaels in the face, then Michaels says "I guess we all know who wears the pants in the Smith family." Bulldog then attacks Michaels, starting a brawl before the break.

During the break, officials broke up the brawl between "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog.

The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) come to the ring with their own pet pigs before the next match as it is announced that the winner of the match will get a title shot against The Bodydonnas (Zip and Skip).

We hear from Sunny, who says she needs to get "a little closer look" to see which team she prefers to have The Bodydonnas' (Zip and Skip) tag team title match against.

Yhe Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) and The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) fight to a double count-out when both legal men are out of the ring and Hillbilly Jim chases after Sunny for trying to get Phineas' attention.

Jim Ross interviews Mankind in a backstage stairwell. He asks Mankind about his submission holds. Mankind says there are over 740 pressure points in the human body, and "during the course of an isolated adolescence, [he] explored them all and searched for the weapon from which there would be no escape." He says "It was a wonderful nerve, underneath the eye socket, but underneath the tongue where the flesh is weak and the nerves run deep, when enough force is exhibited, there is no escape. Temporary paralysis overcomes the body and the only hope for Mankind's love for humanity" - and he assures he is thine. He is surprised not only of the fact that he was able to beat Undertaker with the hold, and tells 'Taker to show some courage of he will destroy him whenever and wherever he chooses, as he is tired of 'Taker's weakness.

It is announced that as per WWF President Gorilla Monsoon that there will be a rematch between The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) and The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Garrett) on this week's Superstars.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 15, 1996

"Wildman" Marc Mero beats Leif Cassidy in his WWF debut. After the match, Vince McMahon interviews Diesel via telephone, and once again Diesel gloats about his recent actions. He says that "The Heartbreak Kid" has fallen into his trap and that he can't beat him.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Bart Gunn with the Million Dollar Dream.

In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies is coming to pay-per-view on April 28th!

Vince McMahon interviews Vader and Jim Cornette in the ring. Cornette talks about how Vader injured WWF President Gorilla Monsoon almost three months ago and how Vader injured Yokozuna last week. It is announced that Vader will take on Razor Ramon at In Your House, and Cornette says that Razor Ramon is the next man to step into Vader's path and see his career take a severe and sharp downward spiral, and that Razor Ramon may soon cease to exist.

We see a video package of Sunny.

Savio Vega beats Goldust for the WWF Intercontinental Championship...almost. When referee Earl Hebner is knocked out, referee Tim White shows up to check on him and sees Savio Vega use the Intercontinental Championship that Marlena tossed into the ring for Goldust to use as a weapon. Both referees are conflicted as to who is the champion until WWF President Gorilla Monsoon explains to ring announcer Howard Finkel what has happened. Goldust is then stripped of the WWF Intercontinental Championship. However, the WWF Intercontinental Championship is declared vacant and that a rematch for the title between Savio Vega and Goldust take place next week, which means that Savio Vega is not champion.

We see never-before-seen footage of Bret "The Hit Man" Hart from WrestleMania 12 after his championship loss to "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, where he takes off as soon as possible and tells the media to "fuck off for a while." This past weekend, Hart was interviewed in Bonn, Germany. He now accepts the result of the match, but is still miffed that the 60-minute Iron Man Match went into overtime, saying that Shawn Michaels was a beaten man at the end of the match. He rues the fact that he never went straight back to the dressing room after the initial 60 minutes. He then says he couldn't picture himself working for another wrestling organization as he sees it as a step down, and he knows that a certain organization is trying to throw money around to get him to cross over to their side. He says the only place where he can get respect is the World Wrestling Federation, and says that he feels a little bit betrayed and a little less interested in getting the title back every time he loses it, but he's still willing enough to go for it again.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats Doink with the Figure Four Leg Lock after The Roadie hits Doink in the back of the leg with a chop block as the referee is unintentionally distracted by Dink.

We get our first look at The Bodydonnas, Skip and Sunny...two fitness buffs who make fun of the "out-of-shape" WWF audience.

Bam Bam Bigelow looks back at Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 11, and says that not only does he respect Diesel as a wrestler and a man, but that his future is bright and that he plans to take down every member of the Million Dollar Corporation ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Tatanka, Irwin R. Schsyter, Sycho Sid, Kama, King Kong Bundy), starting with Irwin R. Schyster.

Vince McMahon interviews Sycho Sid and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase inside the ring. DiBiase tells Shawn Michaels to think about a few things: who suggested he get a bodyguard and that said bodyguard should be Sid. The answer to both questions is DiBiase, who calls Shawn Michaels the path to Diesel and the WWF Championship after Sid put him on the shelf weeks ago. DiBiase says that In Your House, he and Sid are taking over and taking the WWF Championship by "stopping a Diesel in its tracks" and "putting him in a rest hold." Sid calls himself a super-predator of the World Wrestling Federation, and says he will lift Diesel ten feet into the air and drive him through the mat, and that Diesel will tell him he is the man who rules the world.

Bam Bam Bigelow battles Irwin R. Schyster next week on Raw.

Hakushi beats Gary Scott. Before the match, it is announced that Hakushi and Shinja were in Calgary, Alberta, Canada this weekend, and that Jim Ross has the answer as to why on The Ross Report on Option 6 on the WWF Superstar Hotline.

Diesel says he can't wait for Sycho Sid to put up a fight at In Your House.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's match against Jerry "The King" Lawler is official for In Your House. Also official is The Smoking Gunns' (Billy and Bart Gunn) WWF Tag Team Championships rematch against "The King Of Harts' Owen Hart and Yokozuna, as well as a King of the Ring qualifying match between Adam Bomb and Mabel.

Bart Gunn beats "The King Of Harts" Owen Hart with help from Billy Gunn after continuous interference from Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette.
