We hear from The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Kama Mustafa, D'Lo Brown, The Rock). Faarooq says there will be 30 men in the Royal Rumble Match, but it does not bother them at all as they have been in the ring all their lives fighting more than 30 men. The Rock says that Ken Shamrock may be "The World's Most Dangerous Man," but he is the world's most dangerous Intercontinental Champion, and he will throw his hat into the Royal Rumble Match, win it and head to WrestleMania. D'Lo Brown says the Royal Rumble Match is one giant street fight, and nobody knows street fights better than The Nation. He says the winner will be a Nation member. Kama Mustafa says The Nation loves their chances, and says they will win the Royal Rumble Match by any means necessary.
WrestleMania 14 is eleven weeks away!
It is announced that there will be more information regarding Mike Tyson at WrestleMania 14 next week on Raw.
Taka Michinoku beats Pablo Marquez in a Light Heavyweight Division Match. During the match, it is announced that a special edition of WWF Magazine that pays tribute to Brian Pillman is available on newsstands now, with all profits going directly to the Brian Pillman Memorial Fund. After the match, Brian Christopher hugs Pablo Marquez before turning on him.
We see footage from last Monday's Regis and Kathie Lee, where The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) make a guest appearance for 5-year-old Cosby star Angelo Massagli.
Mosh beats Phineas I. Godwinn after referee Mike Chioda sees Henry O. Godwinn hit Mosh with a leather strap. It is announced during the match that there is more information on the situation regarding Jim Cornette and the National Wrestling Alliance on Prone With Cornette on Option 4 of the WWF Superstar Line. After the match, Henry Godwinn takes the leather strap to both Thrasher and Mosh.
We hear from The Undertaker, who tells "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels that before he gives him his sentence that will be acted out at Royal Rumble, he will sing his praises, as he is a very tough individual. He says there is not many people who would come back after the two beatings he has given him. At Royal Rumble, they will find out how tough Shawn really is, as he can do with Shawn what he wants to do when he fees like it, and there is nothing he or D-Generation X (Shawn, Triple H, Chyna, "Ravishing" Rick Rude) can do about it. He tells Shawn to think long and hard before Royal Rumble, for this time, nobody will be able to save him and he will become WWF Champion.
Before the next match, Chainz tells The Rock he has been talking the talk, and tonight he has to walk the walk, as he wants a piece of The Rock.
The Rock beats Chainz after Chainz is distracted by a brawl between the rest of The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) and the rest of The Nation of Domination (D'Lo Brown and Kama Mustafa).

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 22, 1997
D-Generation ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) show up, with Shawn and Triple H in white bathrobes. Shawn wants to know if all the fans of the WWF have been good little boys and girls, because if they are, DX has a present especially for them. Until then, they have some business to take care of. Triple H focuses on The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) and how they brought their domination to a screeching halt. As for the newly-christened team of The New Age Outlaws - "Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn - who want to take credit for L.O.D.'s downfall, in Triple H's words - they are just vultures trying to pick the bones off their kill, and if they know what's best for them, they'll stay out of DX's business. He then focuses on Owen Hart, he has Owen in his sights and he will be his worst nightmare and send him packing. He tells Owen that if he needs a pacifier to suck on - since he's the baby of the family - then he can come see him because he's got one just for him before doing a crotch chop. Shawn then takes the microphone and focuses on The Undertaker, whom he says couldn't beat him the first or second time and will not beat him the third time. At the Hell In A Cell Match, he beat him like a red-headed stepchild, and tells 'Taker he can ask any woman in the world, and they'll tell him he doesn't rest in peace, but instead stays up all night long. He then gives the WWF their special Christmas present: disrobing to holiday-themed boxers before stripping down to holiday-themed thongs which are covered up on-screen. Shawn then tells the WWF Superstars that if they want, they can come out to the ring and kiss them under the mistletoe as Chyna holds up mistletoe with both hands behind Shawn and Triple H's backsides. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up, and Shawn and Triple H put their robes back on. Slaughter says it's close to the Christmas season and he's in the giving mood, so he gives them a gift. He first tells Shawn he hasn't defended the WWF European Championship in over 60 days, and either gives him the choice of defending it against an opponent of his choosing or being stripped of the title. Shawn tells Slaughter that he's not afraid to be stripped of anything, and that he doesn't give away belts for anybody, saying he will defending the European title against anyone, anywhere, any time. Slaughter then announces that Shawn's opponent is Triple H, much to the chagrin of both Shawn and Triple H. DX have a team huddle, then Triple H says that he knows Slaughter is trying to ruin D-Generation X by having him beat Shawn. Shawn takes the microphone and says he was with him until he made it to the part about beating him, and tells him he doesn't wear a championship on each shoulder by being a loser. He tells Triple H to ask around in the locker room and he'll find out that he doesn't lay down for anybody.
Before the next match, Michael Cole interviews The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn). Henry O. says that The Headbangers did not outsmart him an Phineas. He also says that he and Phineas haven't forgotten about The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), saying that they owe them a tag team title shot.
Thrasher beats Henry O. Godwinn after Phineas I. Godwinn stomps Thrasher. Henry O. hits Mosh with the Slop Drop, then he and Phineas pull out leather straps and whip Thrasher and Mosh with them until referees and officials get in the ring to try to restore order.
Mankind is in the bowels of the arena. He says that when you break Dude Love's ribs, his ribs hurt too. He doesn't want to drink eggnog around the fire. Instead, he wants to make the yuletide gay and give rather than receive. He says he will give The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) a beating in what he calls "the fight before Christmas."
We see footage from last week's Raw after the show went of the air. Santa Claus is in the ring, expecting Sable, but Sable doesn't show up and Santa finds out Sable isn't coming. Santa goes a boy from the audience instead, and Santa isn't impressed. Santa asks the boy what he wants for Christmas, but the boy tells him he's not the real Santa Claus. Santa asks the boy who gave him the right to say that and sends him back to the audience, then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. Santa wishes Austin a merry Christmas, then Austin tells him to shut up. The boy, who is still at ringside, is mentioned by Austin, and tells Santa not to kick the boy out of the ring. When confronted about his authenticity, Santa insists he's the real deal. Austin then asks Santa what he asked for when he was six years old and had been "a good little S.O.B. all year." Santa says it was a Barbie doll and tiddlywinks. Austin says it wasn't a Barbie doll, and says he can tell him what he can do with all those tiddlywinks. Austin says Santa is fat enough and has the rosy cheeks, then tells him to stand up. Austin asks the boy if that's the real Santa. The boy says no. Austin tells the crowd to give him a "Hell No" if he's not the real Santa, and he gets one. Austin then gives him a Christmas present straight from his own heart: a Stone Cold Stunner. He then hits Santa with an elbow drop off the second rope before tossing him out of the ring.
We hear "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley arguing behind the door of their locker room before Shawn leaves and Chyna tries to reason with him.
Paul Bearer shows up during the next match. Kama Mustafa crotches The Undertaker on the rope as the referee is preoccupied with Bearer before the break.
The Undertaker plants "The Rock" Rocky Maivia with a Tombstone Piledriver when Paul Bearer comes back with Kane. The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, The Rock) get out of the ring, then Paul Bearer tells the world to feast their eyes on The Undertaker before calling him a shell of a man that he once was. Last week, he gave him one last chance to step up and face his brother, but he tucked tail and ran. Bearer says that he is ashamed to ever have anything to do with him, and cannot believe that he proudly stood by his side and called him his friend. He says 'Taker is nothing anymore, and says it is said that his poor parents with the maggots and the worms. The Undertaker puts his hands on Bearer, then Kane puts his hands on The Undertaker. The Undertaker is about to attack Kane but relents, and Kane gets the upper hand. Bearer dares The Undertaker to attack his brother as Kane continues to stomp The Undertaker in the corner. Bearer calls Kane's attack on The Undertaker proof that The Undertaker, then declares 1998 will be the year of Kane.
The intro to War Zone plays to signal the start of the second hour.
Before the next match can take place, Owen Hart attacks "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley from behind, and is stopped by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. Shawn and Triple H accuse Slaughter of being in on Owens' attack on Helmsley.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are wearing miner's helmets as they go into the bowels to the building to find Mankind. They find someone and assault him from behind, but when they turn the lights on, the find out it's not him.
Before the next match, "Marvelous" Marc Mero says that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and he thanks the Marc Mero fans who braved the weather so the greatest boxer-wrestler in the world. He has something special for each and every one of his fans: a look at "his property" Sable, who is in a reindeer suit. He says that things are going to be his way before ordering Sable to disrobe him, which she does. The light on the reindeer nose glows, then Marc Mero makes fun of it before telling her to get out. After the match begins, Sable takes off the reindeer mask and stays at ringside.
"Marvelous" Marc Mero beats Scott Taylor, then hits him with a low blow after the match. Tom Brandi shows up before Mero can hit Taylor with another TKO and fights off Mero. Mero tries to retreat, but Brandi hits in the back of the head with a baseball slide, causing Mero to hurt his knee. Sable then takes off the reindeer outfit to reveal a Santa-style dress, leggings and black high heels underneath. She then grabs the microphone and wishes the WWF fans a very merry Christmas before blowing a kiss.
"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley says that if "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels wants a fight, he'll get one. Chyna tells Triple H he has nothing to prove by beating Shawn, but Triple H says he has everything to prove, especially since Shawn keeps calling himself the showstopper. Triple H says he has his lucky shirt on, and tells Shawn he has a lesson to be taught, and he's going to teach it to him.
The Jackyl grabs a microphone and puts Kurrgan on a pedestal during the next match, and addresses being called a cult leader by saying that he simply has a message to start a revolution.
Kurrgan the Interrogator beats 8-Ball, then 8-Ball attacks Kurrgan and The Jackyl. Recon and Sniper attack 8-Ball along with Kurrgan, then Skull shows up with a 2x4 and clears the ring.

"The Rock" Rocky Maivia shows up with a microphone, saying Shamrock is lucky as The Nation (Faarooq, D'Lo, Kama, The Rock) can tear him up with a snap of his fingers. He then says his fans want to know how he feels about the Gulf crisis, then says it isn't really important. He then acknowledges that Shamrock is called "The World's Most Dangerous Man" before saying the UFC is full of has-beens and never-was. He then has a gift for Shamrock: a one-on-one match at Royal Rumble for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. He then asks Shamrock if he has the guts before he and The Nation leave. Once again, Faarooq reluctantly looks at The Rock like he's lost his mind before heading to the back with him.

Goldust reads 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. Suddenly, Santa Claus shows up and tosses candy into the crowd. Luna Vachon takes offense to this, as does Goldust. Goldust then continues to read, then Santa smacks Goldust in the back of the head with his sack. Santa then unmasks and reveals himself to be Vader. Goldust and Luna retreat.

Shawn pretends to cry while Chyna console him and Triple H celebrates his title win. As WWF Commissioner Sgt. Triple H and Shawn hug, then Triple H says that other than his kid being born - even though he doesn't have one that he knows of - winning the European Championship is the greatest moment of his life. Triple H, Shawn and Chyna celebrate. Shawn tells Slaughter they didn't need his help, but they made an ass out of him anyway. Triple H points at Slaughter and laughs. We hear Sgt. Slaughter tell Triple H from afar that he will defending the title against Owen Hart next week.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 17, 1997
After the cameras stopped rolling last week during "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter fights back against Triple H and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, shoving both Triple H and Shawn. Shamrock puts Shawn in a schoolboy pin while Sgt. Slaugher counts the pinfall. Despite Triple H being his opponent and not Shawn, Shamrock gets the win, albeit unofficially.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and takes the microphone from ring announcer Tony Chimel. He says that Vince McMahon has metnioned that anything can happen in the WWF, and he asks the crowd to give him a "Hell Yeah" if they want to see Rocky Maivia get his ass whipped. He says Maivia makes challenges like he's something special, and tells him that if he thinks he's something special and can beat the hell out of him, he tells him to show up and bring whoever he wants with him as he has something for him. The whole Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia) shows up, and Rocky has the rest of The Nation approach the ring instead. Austin fights off D'Lo Brown in the ring, and Maivia steals the WWF Intercontinental Championship while Faarooq and Kama Mustafa get D'Lo Brown out of there. After The Nation of Domination leave, Austin takes Jim Ross's headset off of his head and tells him he'll get the belt back tomorrow at the airport when Maivia goes through security, as he won't be safe anywhere. He leaves, then comes back and tells Jim Ross that he's not going anywhere, as he's going to be in the building for the entire show and that Maivia will get his payback.
"Butterbean" Eric Esch is in the front row once again.
Before the next match, Sable waves at "Butterbean" Eric Esch, and Butterbean is confronted once again by Marc Mero. After the match begins, "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher shows up and stands in Jerry "The King" Lawler's corner before guesting on commentary.
Jery "The King" Lawler beats Marc Mero by disqualification when Lawler takes advantage of a distraction by "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher trying to get Sable's phone number by getting a cheap shot on Mero and hitting him with a piledriver. Vince decides that if Bret was not a great investment for the WWF - although he didn't want him to go - the least he could do is help Bret help himself, and tells Bret that if he took the WCW deal, he would be the first to congratulate him, which he was and did. Savio Vega and Miguel Perez immediately realizes that Road Dog and Billy Gunn vandalized their locker room and immediately go after them, starting their tag team match early. The match ends as quickly as it begins when Jose Castillo and Jesus Estrada Jr. show up and attack Road Dog and Billy Gunn.

Referees and officials show up, but they don't even do anything as DX celebrates their actions and continue to mock Slaughter. (Rick Rude's appearance on the second hour of Raw after appearing on the first hour of Nitro is significant, as it proved that Nitro really was broadcast live, while Raw was taped; this episode in particular was taped six days earlier. Meanwhile, Rude had also appeared on ECW Hardcore TV over the weekend, making Rick Rude the only man to be in all of the "big three" promotions at one time.)
Scott Taylor beats Eric Shelley to continue to the semi-finals of the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship tournament. Jef Jarrett announces via telephone during the match that next week, he will make his in-ring wrestling debut. He says that Vince has promised that he will shine the spotlight briglhtly on his and that he will have a chance to prove he is the greatest wrestling talent walking on the earth today. He promises that he will not let anyone down and prove that he is the greatest wrestler.
After the previous match, Marc Mero and Sable - the latter now wearing her sunglasses again - show up, and tells Jim Ross to interview him in the ring. Marc Mero says his woman - his property - has been stalked and that WWF has done nothing to help him. He says that "Butterbean" Eric Esch has been stalking her, and tells him not to wave or even look at her, saying that she is just like the rest of the fans who are chanting for Sable and wants to hurt him. He says that he is a boxer - a five-time New York state Golden Glove champion - and that Butterbean isn't and that Butterbean can't even beat anybody, much less himself. Butterbean jumps the guardrail along with his manager, then Butterbean confronts Mero, who tells him not to even enter an arena again before calling him a fatass. Mero shoves Butterbean, then Butterbean shoves back to greater results. Butterbean's manager tries to stop a physical confrontation, and referees have to show up to separate both men.

He says that Bret jumped ship to World Championship Wrestling for the money, and that Bret loses credibility every time he says he didn't. When asked if the deal with Bret affected him personally or financially, Vince says that from a business perspective, the WWF will go on without Bret, but it has affected him personally as you can't simply end a 14-year relationship without having feels and regrets being forced into making the decisions he had to make. He also regrets the decisions that Bret made, and also regrets the Bret Hart fans who are hurt in any way by this. He regrets that Bret's family has to endure what Bret is going through, and that his own son had to witness some of what happened in the locker room. He regrets all that happen, but remains steadfast that he made a tough decision that was the best decision for both the WWF and the fans. If he had an opportunity to speak with Bret, he would tell him he made a mistake that he will regret from a professional standpoint that he didn't have to make, and that he had to do what he had to do for both the fans and the company. Vince says he is unwavering in his point of view, and feels Bret feels the same way about his. He doesn't know if they'll ever get together again, and says it's too bad that a 14-year relationship was destroyed because one member of that relationship forgot that we're in the sports entertainment business and forgot where he came from. Vince says he is over this now, and at the same time, Bret has been such a part of the WWF and always will be, and he will remember the good times and what Bret did to the greatest degree, and remember Bret as "The Excellent of Execution," but says it's too bad that Bret wasn't the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, as he had the opportunity to prove that in his last match in the WWF and failed.

Goldust then shows up in leggings, black-and-gold checkerboard face paint with some parts in red, a white pajama top, black pantyhose and gold house slippers, accompanied by WWF official Gerald Brisco as his left arm is in a blue sling. Goldust grabs a microphone and says he is an invalid, broken and crippled, and that the doctor hasn't given him clearance to wrestle. Vader says the whole world knows he's not hurt, and that he doesn't care what his doctor's note says. He reads the note, and asks Gerald if he's going along with this before balling it up and tossing it away. Suddenly, Goldust pulls a hammer out of his sling and strikes Vader in the head with it, knocking him down before heading to the back.

WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter gets in the ring and says that a few months ago, he accepted the position as Commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation. He knew it wasn't an easy task, but he cast aside being the Army sergeant that he is most famous for being and put on a sports coat and walked into the battlefields of the WWF with nothing more than a rule book. He knows the fans cheered the decisions they liked and the booed the ones they don't, and says that the commentary table said he was drunk with power, but he did his job and did it well. He tells D-Generation X - especially Triple H - that they crossed a line and made it personal between them. He can call them names back all day if they want, but at In Your House: D-Generation X, he orders Triple H to get in the ring with him, announcing that he is taking off the sports coat, spitting in his face, lacing up the combat boots and seeing who the better man is. He's not saying he's winning or losing, but he is giving Triple H the fight of his life, and in a sort of Pearl Harbor reference, tells Triple H that December 7th will live with him forever in infamy.
Before the next match, Rocky Maivia shows up with the rest of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa) says that his match is a non-title match (even though he is not the Intercontinental Champion) and that he is not a thief as "The Rock" was the best Intercontinental champ there was. He says he is a world-class athlete, an intelligent man and better than the rest. He tells the fans that if they wanted "The Rock," then "The Rock" has answered their call.
Dude Love beats Rocky Maivia by disqualificaton after the rest of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa) attack Dude Love after the Double Arm DDT. The Rock is about to use the Intercontinental Championship as a weapon when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows and fights The Nation along with Dude Love as Maivia flees. Maivia stands at the stage with the Intercontinental title to end the show.

Austin fights off D'Lo Brown in the ring, and Maivia steals the WWF Intercontinental Championship while Faarooq and Kama Mustafa get D'Lo Brown out of there. After The Nation of Domination leave, Austin takes Jim Ross's headset off of his head and tells him he'll get the belt back tomorrow at the airport when Maivia goes through security, as he won't be safe anywhere. He leaves, then comes back and tells Jim Ross that he's not going anywhere, as he's going to be in the building for the entire show and that Maivia will get his payback.

Suddenly, Goldust pulls a hammer out of his sling and strikes Vader in the head with it, knocking him down before heading to the back.

WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter gets in the ring and says that a few months ago, he accepted the position as Commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation. He knew it wasn't an easy task, but he cast aside being the Army sergeant that he is most famous for being and put on a sports coat and walked into the battlefields of the WWF with nothing more than a rule book. He knows the fans cheered the decisions they liked and the booed the ones they don't, and says that the commentary table said he was drunk with power, but he did his job and did it well. He tells D-Generation X - especially Triple H - that they crossed a line and made it personal between them. He can call them names back all day if they want, but at In Your House: D-Generation X, he orders Triple H to get in the ring with him, announcing that he is taking off the sports coat, spitting in his face, lacing up the combat boots and seeing who the better man is. He's not saying he's winning or losing, but he is giving Triple H the fight of his life, and in a sort of Pearl Harbor reference, tells Triple H that December 7th will live with him forever in infamy.
Before the next match, Rocky Maivia shows up with the rest of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa) says that his match is a non-title match (even though he is not the Intercontinental Champion) and that he is not a thief as "The Rock" was the best Intercontinental champ there was. He says he is a world-class athlete, an intelligent man and better than the rest. He tells the fans that if they wanted "The Rock," then "The Rock" has answered their call.
Dude Love beats Rocky Maivia by disqualificaton after the rest of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa) attack Dude Love after the Double Arm DDT. The Rock is about to use the Intercontinental Championship as a weapon when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows and fights The Nation along with Dude Love as Maivia flees. Maivia stands at the stage with the Intercontinental title to end the show.

Jim Cornette is sick and tired of wrestlers calling themselves wrestling icons, saying that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is one of the single greatest talents inside of the ring but is an adolescent, obnoxious jerk who takes his tights and goes home if he doesn't get his way outside of it. He says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is also a great talent, but says that if he screwed by the WWF as often as he says he was, he'd have struck oil by now. He says "Macho Man" Randy Savage is a legend, but asks how many records Frank Sinatra sold last year. He then focuses on the steel cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at WCW Halloween Havoc, saying the match was only the greatest in three weeks since Badd Blood's Hell In A Cell Match and that it included a 46-year-old bald movie star wanna-be who looks like Uncle Creepy with a good build (Hogan) and a guy with an artificial hip who hasn't wrestled a full schedule in ten years (Piper), calling it a tribute to the massive egotism of both men and an indictment of WCW's promotional policies that this match even took place, much less be in the main event, when the card for Halloween Havoc was probably the best of what WCW was capable of having. He says that both Piper and Hogan were so winded after the ten-minute mark that the first three rows died of oxygen deprivation, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Cornette says he is tired of men claiming they're the icon, especially from guys who didn't know when to quit, stating that Piper was his idol when he was a teenager...which was twenty years ago. He calls Hogan in his best years "50% media creation" and that those years are long gone. He calls the match a slap in the face to every wrestler who takes pride in his profession, and no one man is bigger than the sport. He says that if there really is an icon, it would be a man of great ability in the ring, and professionalism and maturity outside of it. He calls for the "I make more money than you B.S." to be left outside with the hat check girls and calls for a focus on talent and attitude. He says The Undertaker, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin have never claimed to be icons, which makes them prime candidates to be just that - icons. He then tells Hogan that he is a household word, but so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old, too.

They put their career on the line and they knew what they had to lose, and they took everything the WWF could throw in their face. They faced The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart), Los Boricuas (Savio Vega, Miguel Perez, Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada Jr.), The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia) and The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) and beat them, and after all their tactics, they beat The Godwinns for the WWF Tag Team Championships. Hawks says if he were not a Road Warrior, he'd be a Sooner. He says there are a lot of people who want a tag team title shot, but they will beat them because they're good at it, because they like it and he gets a shiver up his spine whenever he hurts someone. Hawk says that between there is great brotherly love between him and Animal, who toughed out a hurt shoulder to secure the tag team titles. Animal says they are not johnny-come-lately, and they have won the tag team titles wherever they've gone, and the tag teams in the WWF are toughest they've ever faced; for that, the WWF tag team titles are very special to them. Hawk says they will face everybody, even if they have to face the cameraman, as they are the type of team who says they will do something and then go out to do it.

Jim Cornette says that Phil Mushnick's message board on TV Guide's website has been flooded with comments from outraged pro wrestling fans, and he reads excerpts from a few posts that criticize Mushnick's opinion on professional wrestling. It is announced Mushnick has written that he has "badly overrated the intellect and social graces of most pro wrestling fans as they believe what they want to believe, think what they want to think and have no regard for the truth. Not all but most pro wrestling fans provide what the pro wrestling industry covets: knuckleheads." Cornette finishes by saying that people with similar opinions not only founded the United States of America, but also put a man on the moon. He tells the pro wrestling fans that if they are tired of others giving them the sideways glance, looking down their nose at them, treating them like the guy who runs the Ferris wheel at the county fair just because you like wrestling or anything else, they should stand up and say they are mad as hell and that they won't take it anymore, and to voice their opinion as their opinion makes a difference. Cornette then goes on to say that Phil Mushnick isn't the only target, but he is a fine place to start. Not all but most pro wrestling fans provide what the pro wrestling industry covets: knuckleheads." Cornette finishes by saying that people with similar opinions not only founded the United States of America, but also put a man on the moon. He tells the pro wrestling fans that if they are tired of others giving them the sideways glance, looking down their nose at them, treating them like the guy who runs the Ferris wheel at the county fair just because you like wrestling or anything else, they should stand up and say they are mad as hell and that they won't take it anymore, and to voice their opinion as their opinion makes a difference. Cornette then goes on to say that Phil Mushnick isn't the only target, but he is a fine place to start. Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 23, 1997
Vince McMahon interviews The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Ahmed Johnson) to start tonight's show. Ahmed, when asked why he joined the Nation, tells Vince to ask himself why, then says the fans never backed him up for a title, and that he never got another shot at the Intercontinental Championship after returning from injury as he is a Black man. Vince tells Ahmed he was going to get an opportunity, but Ahmed says that Martin Luther King Jr. was going to live another ten years and that never happened because he got assassinated for "trying to be nice." He then says Louis Farrakhan is alive because he doesn't preach the peace. Ahmed goes on to announce that he has no respect for The Undertaker anymore, saying that a man who has to listen to another man is "a low-down, dirty slave dog" and says that when The Undertaker puts his hands on him, he won't be dead enough. D'Lo Brown proclaims that Ahmed came back because he was held down and the people, including Vince, turned his back on him. Faarooq says the truth kills everybody, and says Savio Vega and Crush couldn't get the job done. He says the most feared threat in the world today is powerful, intelligent Black human beings getting together for a cause, and that the new Nation will get the job done. D'Lo Brown calls the Nation the four most dominating men in the WWF today, and that nobody will stop them. Ahmed tells Vince that if he crosses his eyes at the Nation again, he will wish he was never born. Kama says he is proud of himself for single-handedly defeating The Undertaker last week, and is also proud of The Nation as well as Ahmed Johnson, who finally has a chance to take down The Undertaker and prove The Nation are the champions. D'Lo Brown says The Nation rules the WWF, and will do so by any means necessary. Suddenly, four men in biker gear show up on motorcycles, and one of them is Crush. They surround the ring and rev up their motors as a means of intimidation, then get off the bikes and into the ring. Crush says he can't remember hearing so much crap in his entire life, and tells Faarooq he never fired him because he quit. He then introduces the Nation to a real brotherhood: D.O.A., the Disciples of Apocalypse, who live together, ride together and fight together. This starts an all-out brawl that not only referees have to quell, but also WWF officials and police officers.

Former UFC and current NWA champion Dan Severn guests on commentary for the next match to provide some insight on "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, having faced Shamrock on two occasions.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Rockabilly with the ankle lock submission. The Honky Tonk Man almost whacks Shamrock in the head with his guitar, but Shamrock turns around and makes him think twice. Shamrock then notices Dan Severn at the commentary table, and both men stare down for a few seconds before shaking hands. Shamrock then raises Severn's hand.
Henry O. Godwinn says that his recent neck injury that broke his C4 vertebrae was no accident, and didn't feel like on either. He tells The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) that what they will do to them tonight will be no accident. He's not stupid, and neither is his brother, Phineas I. Godwinn, and the Godwinns - now sans shirts - will do things their way from now on.
Chyna, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock will be at Muscle Beach in Venice, California this Saturday from 1 to 2 PM.

Paul Bearer tells The Undertaker it's all about him, and The Undertaker finally put his hand on the throat of Bearer...as well as Vader, who rushes in to protect Bearer. Bearer tells The Undertaker to remember the fire, and 'Taker leaves the room.
Owen Hart is disgusted with the triple threat with the Intercontinental Championship on the line, considering it unfair that a Canadian has to face two Americans at the same time on American soil. Owen is not worried, as he has a big surprise in store.

Sabu and his manager Bill Alfonso leave through the crowd after the match.
Mankind comes to the ring for his match wearing an Austin 3:16 shirt as well as a cardboard sign around his neck saying "Pick Me Steve." He dedicates his efforts in the ring tonight to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a man he is proud to call his friend. (The sign gets ripped in half by The British Bulldog during the match.)
The recently injured "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is interviewed via telephone, who says never to call him collect again because he will not accept the charges. He also says hello to his brother Kevin, who was recently stepped on by a bull and owes him $30. He will be back on Friday night in Salt Lake City, Utah. As for Mankind's campaign to be his tag team partner, he sees it as a tribute to himself and appreciates the effort, but also calls him a freak and would still defend the tag team titles by himself even if Mankind is a worth tag team partner.
Mankind beats The British Bulldog by disqualification after Bulldog repeatedly hits Mankind with a steel chair. Four chair shots aren't enough, however, as Mankind cinches the Mandible Claw on Bulldog until Bulldog is able to escape.
WWF President Gorilla Monsoon has no problem with Brian Pillman managing Owen Hart in the Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship.

Bret and Hearns stare down, then Hearns punches Neidhart in the gut several times. Officials have to keep Hearns away from Bret, while Neidhart is out on his feet.

During the match, The Disciples of Apocalypse show up and attack The Nation of Domination, but are cleared out during the break when The Undertaker also fights the D.O.A. off. After the match, Paul Bearer confronts 'Taker, but "Taker waves him off. Vader fights The Undertaker, but falls victim to a Tombstone Piledriver. Bearer runs away, and 'Taker is about to leave when Bearer tells him to turn around. He threatens to tell 'Taker's secret next week, and 'Taker answers with a throat slash gesture before heading to the back.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for June 14, 1997
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beats "Double J" Jesse James. During the match, Brian Pillman shows up late, throwing Jesse James into the ring before heading to the commentary table. He also tosses water into Jesse James' face during the match, and does it again after the match before tossing the bottle at referee Tim White.

Ahmed says he loves The Undertaker just as much as the fans do, but all he wants from The Undertaker is to wake up and come back to reality in regards to Paul Bearer. As far as the new Nation of Domination goes, he used to run with a gang, and if they want a gang fight, he is the man they can take it to. If The Undertaker comes out as himself, that is fine, but if he wants to listen to Paul Bearer, he will do whatever he has to do for his people, and if that means hitting The Undertaker with the Pearl River Plunge, he will do that. The Undertaker shows up with Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer tells Ahmed to listen to him, as this Monday, he will be in the same boat as The Undertaker and he will do what he tells him to do. He also tells The Undertaker they can do this the easy way or the hard way. Ahmed tells The Undertaker he loves and respects him like a brother, and that he has always been the man and there is nobody like him, but as a brother, if he crosses him, he will stomp his ass. As for Paul Bearer, he is using The Undertaker like a slave, and he will break Paul Bearer's slave mentality on The Undertaker any way he can as he does not play around. Paul Bearer commands The Undertaker to leave the ring with him, but Ahmed begs him not to do it. Ahmed and 'Taker shake hands, then The Undertaker leaves.
We see footage from last weekend at the ECW Arena where Jerry "The King" Lawler and "Mr. Monday Night" Rob Van Dam fought the ECW locker room prior to Paul E. Dangerously's revenge last Monday night.
Jerry "The King" Lawler and "Mr. Monday Night" Rob Van Dam vs. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) after "The Innovator of Violence" ends when Tommy Dreamer gets into the ring and goes after Rob Van Dam. Paul E. Dangerously is seen at ringside directing traffic, but referees and officials get in the ring and keep everyone away from Dreamer.
Henry O. Godwinn beats Salvatore Sincere in his first match back from his neck injury. Compared to Phineas I. Godwinn, Henry O. Godwinn is not as jovial when he makes his way to the ring, and his wrestling style is more aggressive. After the match, Henry O. Godwinn absolutely refuses to dance with Phineas, and makes it known to him.

Henry O. Godwinn beats Salvatore Sincere in his first match back from his neck injury. Compared to Phineas I. Godwinn, Henry O. Godwinn is not as jovial when he makes his way to the ring, and his wrestling style is more aggressive. After the match, Henry O. Godwinn absolutely refuses to dance with Phineas, and makes it known to him.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for May 31, 1997
The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Savio Vega, Crush) beats Mankind, Vader and The Undertaker after Faarooq gets Vader in a schoolboy pin. Before the match, Paul Bearer demands that The Undertaker hand him the WWF Championship, but The Undertaker hands it over to the timekeeper instead. Bearer takes it from the timekeeper and insists it is his belt now. During the match, The Undertaker makes it known that he wants no part in this match, staying far away from Mankind and Vader, hitting Vader with a cheap shot as both men are on the apron, and - at one point in the match - standing near the middle of the ring after the commercial break. After the match, Paul Bearer has to keep The Undertaker from choke slamming Vader, and The Undertaker leaves soon after before Mankind, Vader and Paul Bearer.
Blackjack Bradshaw vs. Phineas I. Godwinn ends in a double count-out after Blackjack Windham tries to drag Phineas out of the ring by his leg and Henry O. Godwinn gets physically involved.

Referee Tim White catches Flash Funk in the act of using the stereo as a weapon, and the match is over. Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 19, 1997
We see what happened after the cameras stopped rolling last week. After the cameras go off, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart keeps talking trash to "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and says Shawn doesn't have the guts to hit him as he stands from his wheelchair. Bret instantly eats a superkick, and Shawn runs around the ring avoiding the rest of The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman). That doesn't happen for long, as they eventually get a hold of Shawn and beat him up on the entrance ramp. They almost toss him off the side of the entrance ramp when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and attacks The Foundation. Officials have to keep Austin and Michaels from getting close to the Foundation again as the Foundation checks on Bret.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is interviewed in the ring by Jim Ross to start the show. Austin says he doesn't give a rat's ass about "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and that he only came out because The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) turned their backs. As far as Shawn is concerned, he can thank his lucky stars he was there as Shawn was about to take a hell of an ass whipping. He says the Foundation runs in a pack, and that he can run through the pack with or without Shawn, as they are both going different paths and the Foundation is just a common denominator. Suddenly, Shawn Michaels shows up and tells Austin with diction similar to his that it wasn't too long ago that he did the same for him and that he only did it because he hates the Foundation as much as any other guy in the World Wrestling Federation. He has fallen off ladders tossed off the top of steel cages before Austin showed up, and if he had been tossed off the side of the entrance ramp, he would have picked himself right back up. Austin tells Shawn that he didn't say he wasn't tough, and tells him to go back to the back before he kicks his teeth down his throat, but Shawn tells him he can just as well kick his guts in. This leads to a brawl between Austin and Shawn that leads to officials quickly scrambling to the ring to break apart. Owen Hart, The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart show up on the TitanTron, making fun of Austin and Shawn for failing to get along. Owen wishes Bret "The Hit Man" Hart to see this, but he will be there in a few minutes. He then issues a challenge to them for the tag team titles next week if they can get on the same page. Shawn and Austin both say that they'll find a partner other than each other for the match, and then they start brawling again.
It is announced that Vader will not be able to appear for his first round King of the Ring match against Crush, due to a ruptured septum in his nose suffered from the No Holds Barred Match against Ken Shamrock. In his place is Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who has a second chance in the tournament after being defeated via disqualification by Ahmed Johnson. According to Gerald Brisco, referee Tim White erred in instructing Hunter Hearst Helmsley that he could only win by pinfall or submission and that loss via disqualification would eliminate him from the tournament, and will therefore take Vader's place in the tournament in order to avoid any legal action.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Crush to continue to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament when Savio Vega tries to interfere, leading Helmsley to get some assistance from Chyna. Savio Vega gets off the apron and Chyna gets caught, and Savio Vega tries to take advantage of that by trying to roundhouse kick Helmsley from the apron while Crush holds Helmsley from behind. Unfortunately for Vega, Triple H escapes Crush's grasp and Vega ends up kicking Crush in the side of the head instead. Chyna grabs Vega by the foot to keep him from breaking the pinfall, and Crush confronts Vega after the match. This leads to a shoving match between the two, and Faarooq has to rush into the ring and tell both of them to knock it off.
We see pre-recorded comments from two WWF fans who wish hometown hero Bob "Spark Plug" Holly luck tonight. We also see footage of Jerry "The King" Lawler interviewing two local fans, and asks the older fan if he and his wife would still be brother and sister if they divorced.
Bob "Spark Plug" Holly gets a surprise win in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama on Owen Hart with an inside cradle. After the match, The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart go after Holly, who immediately sidesteps into the crowd.
It's time for Episode 2 of "Sunny's Search and Soak Mission," where Jim Cornette gets soaked with the Super Soaker CPS 2000.
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels has found a partner for tonight in the form of "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. Shamrock calls this a privilege and an honor, and asks Shawn to take care of Owen Hart so that he can give The British Bulldog more than he can handle.
Jim Ross apologizes for the satellite transmission problems tonight, as the show is in the middle of a huge thunderstorm.
We see the first part of an interview with Mankind. Mankind says that the biggest misconception fans have of him is that he is a bad person. Even though there are plenty of reasons to hate him, he does not want to be hated to due to "untruths, partial truths and rumors." He says that he always played the Indians in a game of Cowboys and Indians, and if he is the bad guy for standing for what he believes in, then Jim Ross has him dead to rights. He also talks about a time when he was playing dodgeball at eight years old when he was accidentally kicked in the lip and started bleeding, and noticed that he handled pain better than other people to the point that he loved it, and wanted to do something where he could be in pain and make a living out of it, which lead to him becoming a professional wrestler. This lead to him and his brother play wrestling, which ended with Mankind breaking his brother's nose. Even though he was forbidden from watching pro wrestling by his mother from that point on, the dream still lived. Mankind wants to tell his son when he turns 15 "not to be the guy who eats strange things," as he was always bullied by having worms thrown at him and he got back at his tormentors by eating the worms, which backfired as he went through his high school days without a single date.
It is announced by Jerry "The King" Lawler that Paul E. Dangerously has forbidden Rob Van Dam from returning to Raw via legal proceedings.
Scott Taylor beats Leif Cassidy with an inside cradle. (After six years of working as enhancement talent, Taylor is finally working in the WWF under contract.) After the match, Leif Cassidy jumps on the commentary table and says he can't take it anymore.

The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) show up. Bret is now on crutches instead of rolling around in a wheelchair. Once again, Bret trashes the American wrestling fans and says that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels would not allow him his right to free right, which he calls typical behavior of the American wrestling fans as he mocks the southern American accent. He says that Shawn is no better than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and that Shawn had to take it on himself to attack him last week. He doesn't care who Shawn picks for a partner for next week's tag team title match, as his days are numbered and he cannot think of anyone who would even want to tag team with Shawn. He tells his true fans around the world as well as the American fans that someone else - a real hero and a real man - will come back at King of the Ring with a bad knee, and that man is him. Despite many well wishes despite the bad knee, he challenges Shawn to a match at King of the Ring, and if he cannot beat him in ten minutes, he will never wrestle in the United States again. All of a sudden, Shawn appears on the TitanTron, and tells Bret he couldn't beat him in sixty minutes and says the only reason Bret thinks he can beat him in 10 is because of the rest of the Foundation. Shawn goes on to say he wants the rest of the Foundation at ringside, and adds a stipulation of his own: the rest of the Foundation must be handcuffed to a ring post so they can't jump in and he and Bret can settle once and for all if Bret can be beaten like a man, saying that Bret couldn't last ten minutes in any situation and that he will knock him down and drag him out. Bret accepts the challenge, saying ten minutes is all he needs to smoke Shawn. Shawn tells Bret he can smoke him, but he has to beat him, which he says Bret doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of doing.
Before the next match, Goldust asks the crowd if they want to see Marlena, and says he can do one better: two Marlenas. Not only does Marlena show up, but so does his and Marlena's daughter, Dakota, who has a bit of fun on the microphone.
Rockabilly beats Goldust by disqualification when he gets caught in the ropes and The Honky Tonk Man takes advantage of the ref helping Rockabilly out of the ropes by trying to hit Goldust with his guitar. Goldust takes the guitar away from him and hits him in the head with it, but Rockabilly walks away with the win when the referee sees .
Backstage, Ahmed Johnson calls Faarooq a sell-out, a liar, a racist and a cheat, but says that what Faarooq said last week about there never being a Black WWF Champion is the truth, and wants to know why. Ahmed says he's no racist and is tolerant of everyone, and says he will set out to become the first Black WWF Champion.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has found a tag team partner for next week: Harvey Wippleman. The Brooklyn Brawler wants to tag up with Stone Cold, but gets thrown into the backstage set for his trouble. Austin then tells Wippleman to stay at the corner and watch him whip ass next week.

The Undertaker says that last week, Faarooq played the race card, and says that he is not a "white savior" as he doesn't recognize color. He is neither white or black, only the reaper of wayward souls, and when all is said and done and Faarooq is wondering why he isn't WWF Champion, it's because he couldn't beat The Undertaker, not because he's Black. As for Paul Bearer's secret, 'Taker simply says that this is not the time. Paul Bearer then appears on the TitanTron, saying it is. He tells him to remember that dark, drizzling morning where his parents' caskets were lowered and he promised never to let the secret he knows out. He tells 'Taker to come back to him, or he reveal the secret. 'Taker says he needs more time, and Bearer gives him seven days, and if he doesn't rejoin him, he will open Pandora's Box.
Brian Pillman guests on commentary during "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, which quickly ends when Austin gets his hands on Pillman, who responds with a crutch to Austin's back. Owen hart and The British Bulldog also attack Austin, but "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up and nails everyone with a steel chair. Shawn says Austin can't be trusted as far as he can be thrown, and Austin doesn't want to tag with Shawn, either. Both Austin and Shawn fight each other, and officials have to break up the brawl.

Rockabilly beats Goldust by disqualification when he gets caught in the ropes and The Honky Tonk Man takes advantage of the ref helping Rockabilly out of the ropes by trying to hit Goldust with his guitar. Goldust takes the guitar away from him and hits him in the head with it, but Rockabilly walks away with the win when the referee sees .
Backstage, Ahmed Johnson calls Faarooq a sell-out, a liar, a racist and a cheat, but says that what Faarooq said last week about there never being a Black WWF Champion is the truth, and wants to know why. Ahmed says he's no racist and is tolerant of everyone, and says he will set out to become the first Black WWF Champion.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has found a tag team partner for next week: Harvey Wippleman. The Brooklyn Brawler wants to tag up with Stone Cold, but gets thrown into the backstage set for his trouble. Austin then tells Wippleman to stay at the corner and watch him whip ass next week.
Episode 2 of "Sunny's Search and Soak Mission" is replayed.
It is announced before the next match that J.C. Ice and Wolfie D are no longer part of The Nation of Domination after what happened last week against The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk).
Faarooq beats Rocky Maivia. After the match, Faarooq asks Savio Vega and Crush not to attack Rocky Maivia in a post-match beatdown. We then see The Hart Foundation (Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) beating up Bob "Spark Plug" Holly backstage, with officials trying to stop the carnage.
Vince McMahon interviews The Undertaker in the ring and asks about Faarooq, Paul Bearer's comments and the secret he swore not to tell. The Undertaker says that last week, Faarooq played the race card, and says that he is not a "white savior" as he doesn't recognize color. He is neither white or black, only the reaper of wayward souls, and when all is said and done and Faarooq is wondering why he isn't WWF Champion, it's because he couldn't beat The Undertaker, not because he's Black. As for Paul Bearer's secret, 'Taker simply says that this is not the time. Paul Bearer then appears on the TitanTron, saying it is. He tells him to remember that dark, drizzling morning where his parents' caskets were lowered and he promised never to let the secret he knows out. He tells 'Taker to come back to him, or he reveal the secret. 'Taker says he needs more time, and Bearer gives him seven days, and if he doesn't rejoin him, he will open Pandora's Box.
Brian Pillman guests on commentary during "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, which quickly ends when Austin gets his hands on Pillman, who responds with a crutch to Austin's back. Owen hart and The British Bulldog also attack Austin, but "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up and nails everyone with a steel chair. As The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brian Pillman) leaves, Austin grabs the chair and is about to hit Shawn in the back with it when Jim Ross gets in the ring and tells Austin and Shawn that as per WWF President Gorilla Monsoon that they have no choice but to tag together against Owen Hart and The British Bulldog for the WWF Tag Team Championships. Shawn says Austin can't be trusted as far as he can be thrown, and Austin doesn't want to tag with Shawn, either. Both Austin and Shawn fight each other, and officials have to break up the brawl.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 29, 1996
It is revealed at the beginning of the show that the reason The British Bulldog wanted to confront "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels last night was because of rumors that Michaels slept with his wife, Diana Hart Smith. When Michaels won his match last night, The British Bulldog headed down the aisles after In Your House went off the air.
Mankind beats Bart Gunn with the two fingers to the esophagus. We find out that the music that plays when Mankind wins has a calming effect on him.
Jim Ross interviews Bart Gunn, who says that Mankind's submission move was so devastating he couldn't move. As he speaks, Mankind shows up and sticks his fingers down Bart Gunn's esophagus again.
Savio Vega guests on commentary for the next match, and shows up with a leather strap, and immediately challenges "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a Carribean Strap Match at the next In Your House.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Scott Taylor with the Million Dollar Dream. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler almost gets whipped by Savio Vega. After the match, Savio Vega challenges Steve Austin to the Carribean Strap Match. Austin and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase reject the challenge. DiBiase leaves the ring, but Austin does not, and Vega smacks Austin from ebhind with the leather strap.
Vince McMahon interviews The British Bulldog and his wife Diana Hart Smith in the ring. He then introduces "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Michaels says that one month ago, nobody thought his wrestling style would last sixty minutes against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, but he adapated to Hart's style, danced for 63 minutes, and came out on top. Last night, nobody thought his wrestling style would hold up against Diesel, but he held his own and gave Diesel an ass-whipping of his own. Michaels then says he can adapt to any style and that he is ready for the best the WWF has to offer. Jim Cornette confronts The Heartbreak Kid for sleeping with Diana Hart Smith. It is shown through last night's footage that a production assistant asked Diana to come with him to the back, as Jim Cornette was in trouble. She goes to the back. Cornette was not waiting there, but Michaels supposedly was. Cornette says that Michaels put his arm around her, took her to a dark corner and propositioned her. Cornette wants to know what kind of person what do this, and calls Michaels a sleazebag (among other things). Cornette then forces Michaels to face Diana, and accuses Michaels of being a fornicator. Diana tells Michaels he knows he wants her, but Michaels tells her with all due respect not to flatter herself. Diana slaps Michaels in the face, then Michaels says "I guess we all know who wears the pants in the Smith family." Bulldog then attacks Michaels, starting a brawl before the break.
During the break, officials broke up the brawl between "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog.

Temporary paralysis overcomes the body and the only hope for Mankind's love for humanity" - and he assures he is thine. He is surprised not only of the fact that he was able to beat Undertaker with the hold, and tells 'Taker to show some courage of he will destroy him whenever and wherever he chooses, as he is tired of 'Taker's weakness.
The Ultimate Warrior beats Isaac Yankem D.D.S.
It is announced that as per WWF President Gorilla Monsoon that there will be a rematch between The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) and The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Garrett) on this week's Superstars.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 11, 1995
The British Bulldog beats Razor Ramon by disqualification. During the match, Razor Ramon accidentally whips The British Bulldog into the referee, knocking him down. Dean Douglas shows up and hits Razor Ramon from the top rope. The 1-2-3 Kid takes down Dean Douglas, forcing Douglas to retreat. The Kid then goes to the top rope to hit a splash on Bulldog, but Bulldog moves out of the way and The Kid hits Razor instead. Bulldog and Jim Cornette then attack Razor Ramon and the Kid. Also during the match, Vince McMahon introduces WWF's European fanbase to the show for the very first time, as this is the debut of Raw on Sky Sports.
After the break, Vince McMahon interviews both Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid. When he mentions the outcome of the match we just saw, The 1-2-3 Kid brings up Razor Ramon costing him a match last week. He then says he's tired of Razor Ramon treating him like a little kid, and says nobody took him seriously the first time he beat Razor. He challenges him to a match next week, thinking that beating him again will make Razor give him some respect. Razor says anything can happen in the WWF, and welcomes the three-front war of The British Bulldog, Dean Douglas and The 1-2-3 Kid. He accepts the challenge after The 1-2-3 Kid walks out.
Owen Hart and Yokozuna take on Men on a Mission (King Mabel and Sir Mo) next week as per interim WWF President Gorilla Monsoon on Raw.

We see Goldust in Hollywood at night. He talks about "the evil dead ghouls that walk astray" at night in Hollywood who call themselves "the creatures of the night" who call The Undertaker their leader. He says that gold sheds no darkness, only light.

Kama vs. The Undertaker at SummerSlam is now a Casket Match, after Kama attacked an Undertaker fan in the ring last week on Superstars as he picked up the pieces of the torn funeral wreathe...and Undertaker announces that he starts his death march to Sunday tonight.
Men on a Mission (King Mabel and Sir Mo) beat Joe Adcock and Roy Raymond. During the match, it is announced that Raw will be preempted for the next three weeks due to the U.S. Open. After the match, King Mabel says that while Diesel may be WWF Champion, he is the king, and he and Sir Mo are the greatest tag team of all time. He then calls out The Allied Powers (Lex Luger and The British Bulldog) for another "tune-up" match tonight. He thinks they're scared when they don't show up right away.
Dean Douglas is in the satellite classroom for the first time on The Report Card, and he talks about domination while giving Men on a Mission (King Mabel and Sir Mo) high marks.

We get another look at Goldust, this time in front of the fabled Hollywood sign. He says "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will soon see a real star and that there will be a vacancy in the Heartbreak Hotel.
Vince McMahon interviews Diesel in the ring. Diesel says he's ready for King Mabel at SummerSlam. He thanks "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels for being there for him two weeks ago when he was attacked by King Mabel. As for whether or not he can lift King Mabel for the Jackknife Power Bomb, there's only one way to find out. At the end of the interview, The British Bulldog shows up and wishes Diesel good luck at SummerSlam, then says that Lex Luger headed back to Atlanta, Georgia for a medical emergency, so he is doing what Lex Luger could do, and that's finding the best partner he can find. When he asks the audience if they want to get his hands on King Mabel before SummerSlam, the audience wants it...and so does Diesel.
Men on a Mission (King Mabel and Sir Mo) vs. Diesel and The British Bulldog ends with The British Bulldog attacking Diesel from behind. Jim Cornette shows up and stands on the apron, excited by the carnage, then keeps one of the officials trapped in the corner as The Bulldog, King Mabel and Sir Mo gang up on Diesel. Jery "The King" Lawler heads to the back to get a word from The British Bulldog as King Mabel carries the WWF Championship over his royal shoulder.
After the match, Diesel is able to get back up under his own power.

Lawler says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart has not seen the last of him, and that Isaac Yankem will take care of Bret Hart himself, as he was once a great wrestler (under a presumed name) before he became a great dentist (in Lawler's words), and extract revenge along with some teeth. All the while, Lawler is trying to fix his breath with toothpaste, chewing gum, gargling water and any other means necessary.

During the match, The Roadie almost gets physical with Shawn Michaels for pulling on his hair and putting his hands on him. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett tries to take advantage of the situation, but Shawn Michaels gets a shot on Jarrett as he does a running double axe handle on him. After the match, Shawn Michaels goes to town on Jarrett and The Roadie and sends them both out of the ring, then raises Savio Vega's hand in victory.
After the break, Shawn Michaels dances and poses on the announce table while his entrance music still plays to much applause. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie come back, and Jarrett gets on the mic, but he cannot be heard at all before the show ends.

We get out first look at Jean-Pierre LaFitte, a pirate and descendant of Jean LaFitte who plans to deep-six in the World Wrestling Federation with the power of some gold coins that are said to have magical powers. He takes on Duke "The Dumpster" Droese next week on Raw.
We finally see the beating that Sycho Sid gave Shawn Michaels last week. During the break, we find out that Shawn Michaels had enough of Sycho Sid and said he has been beaten up by people bigger and better than him, and more or less dismissed him from his bodyguard duty. Sid took offense to this and laid waste to Michaels with two devastating power bombs before putting his boot on the back of Michaels. After the show went off the air, Diesel got help from the officials as Sycho Sid mocked him and his friendship with Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels was then carried to the back on a stretcher. It is then announced that Shawn Michaels will be out of action for some time.
Kama - now wearing a gold chain melted down and made from The Undertaker and Paul Bearer's urn - around his neck - beats Scott Taylor.
It is announced that Alundra Blayze suffered a broken nose last week and had to undergo reconstructive nose surgery in Minneapolis after last week's post-match beatdown from an unknown individual, who is now revealed to be more than a fan.

During "Double J" Jeff Jarrett's entrance, the camera briefly focuses on a man with sunglasses, backstage ID stickers on the front and back of his shirt and a backwards Monday Night Raw cap. Even Vince McMahon doesn't know who he is, and thinks he's a ring attendant, though he is seen talking to Jarrett in the corner.
"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats The British Bulldog by count-out after the mystery man in Jarrett's corner grabs Bulldog's ankle, distracting him after he tosses Jarrett back into the ring and keeping him from beating the ten count.
The WWF Holiday Wish is coming to town this month!
Last Wednesday night, at the 10th annual American Sportscaster Association Dinner, Dink, Diesel, The Bushwhackers and a plethora of other sports stars rubbed shoulders with sportscasters.
The 1-2-3 Kid beats Barry Horowitz.
Bob Backlund takes on Doink next week on Raw!
Shawn Michaels plays WWF Raw for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. There will also be a companion video guide for the game from Coliseum Video with strategies and secrets from the game.

"The King" Jerry Lawler shows up to host this week's edition of The King's Court. This week is a little different, as the guest this time around is a mystery guest. After berating the crowd, The King reveals his guest, whom he calls a guiding light for the World Wrestling Federation: Shawn Michaels, who reveals that he knew that he was the mystery guest all along after saying he didn't know who it was. The King reminds everyone that Shawn Michaels made Diesel, but in the end, says that Diesel isn't very smart despite being made into a champion. Shawn once again claims that it was him who plucked Diesel from obscurity, and tells Diesel that he made him and that he can and will break him. He then tells Diesel that he's not hard to find.
Bob "Spark Plug" Holly was at the Snowball Derby, even though he didn't so hot. Nevertheless, he'll be in next year's racing season.
WWF Mania celebrates its 100th episode this Saturday at 10 AM Eastern/9 AM Central.
Footage of clouds reveal the word "Hakushi" before turning into storm clouds. Whoever Hakushi is, he is coming soon to the WWF.
Harvey Wippleman verbally berates Howard Finkel before introducing Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steve Dunn). He also comes close to attacking Finkel as well.
Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steve Dunn) beat The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) after Harvey Wippleman grabs Luke's ankle. This causes Wippleman and Howard Finkel to have a verbal argument that almost gets physical when Finkel tells the referee what happened. During the match, it is announced that there will be a tournament to decide the next WWF Tag Team Championship will take place exclusively on Superstars starting this weekend. The finals will take place at Royal Rumble on January 22nd. when new tag team champions will be crowned.
Bob Backlund says that clowns have no place in society and no place in the WWF. He also plans to take back the WWF Championship and bring up everyone's morality to the level of God's.
