The King has painted a portrait of The Ultimate Warrior to give to him as a peace offering and to show that there are no hard feelings between him and Warrior.
Owen Hart beats Yokozuna to continue to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament after Yokozuna stumbles off the second rope and Owen puts his foot on the ropes for the pinfall.
We see footage from last night's show at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, Illinois.
The WWF Attitude Adjustment Tour continues in Salt Lake City, Utah; Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; St. Louis, Missouri and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!
Jake "The Snake" Roberts guests on commentary for the next match as an excerpt from his interview on yesterday's Action Zone is re-aired, in which Roberts talked about how drugs ruined his life and how his wife had to keep him alive.
Jim Ross interviews Yokozuna, who doesn't know what to think and says "This is not the old Yoko." He says he's concerned about getting his hands on Jim Cornette that he's lost it, and he now feels he has to go and find himself.
"Wildman" Marc Mero beats Skip to contine to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament.
Next week on Raw: "Wildman" Marc Mero vs. Owen Hart and Savio Vega vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the King of the Ring tournament quarter-finals!
Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler are in the ring as McMahon brings out The Ultimate Warrior. Jerry "The King" Lawler tries to make it up to The Ultimate Warrior, saying he saved him the trouble of being a king for a year from winning the King of the Ring tournament, and offers him the portrait he made of the Warrior as a peace offering. Vince thinks that Lawler is trying to get out of the match, but Lawler says the match is not necessary. The Warrior tells Lawler that he may be an artist, but he sees him as the biggest con artist there ever was. He appreciates the portrait and the time taken to get it done, but there is only one king in the World Wrestling Federation, and that King of the Ring, he's going to kick his ass. Lawler hits Warrior with the portrait, shattering the glass upon impact with the back of his head, but it doesn't have any effect on Warrior. He chases Lawler to the back.
Before the next match, Vince McMahon interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, who is at WWF Studios. Shawn looks forward to righting the wrong from In Your House: Beware of Dog at King of the Ring. Jim Cornette butts in and tells Shawn that in agreement for getting the suit against Gorilla Monsoon settled out of court, the referee for the WWF Championship rematch between The British Bulldog and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will be one of Cornette's and Clarence Mason's choosing and not "some 98-pound weakling" who could easily get knocked out. Jim Cornette then guests on commentary for the next match.
On Option 6 of the WWF Superstar Line, has Brian Pillman aka Flyin' Brian joined the ranks of the WWF Superstars?
The British Bulldog beats The Undertaker by count-out when Mankind keeps The Undertaker from getting back into the ring by grabbing him by the ankle. Mankind, the Bulldog and Owen Hart beat up 'Taker for a little bit, then Cornette gets Bulldog and Owen out of there because he doesn't want to be anywhere near Mankind. Mankind drives 'Taker into the mat with a piledriver, but officials and referees stop Mankind from applying the Mandible Claw.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 8, 1996
Mr. Perfect replaces Jerry "The King" Lawler on commentary this week.
Yokozuna vs. Vader ends when Vader breaks Yokozuna's leg from the second rope. Vader then hits Yokozuna with multiple Vader Bombs, then Vader and Jim Cornette celebrate as Vader is handed the win by decision. Officials and medical personnel check on Yokozuna, and Yokozuna has to be taken out on a stretcher.
After the break, we see footage of Yokozuna with a splint on his left leg as he is carried to the back on a forklift. (It was the only way anybody could move Yokozuna, who was over 660 pounds at the time.)
Vince McMahon interviews The Ultimate Warrior in the ring. In the 3 1/2 years that he has been gone, the voices would not die. He says that the fans spoke to him in that time, and they all said one thing: "We wanted Warrior, and we want it bad, and we want to live one more time in the power of the Warrior." When Vince asks how The Warrior will fare against the New Generation, he says the powers of the Warriors will rise and meet, and that anyone who challenges them will fall. As Warrior speaks, Goldust and Marlena arrive, and Goldust tells Warrior to "come out and play" and that he can come in his house, but nobody will be there. Goldust then wants to have his way with The Warrior, but The Warrior is not in the mood for it. Warrior tells Goldust that his mind games won't work and that he doesn't "give a shit" about what Goldust is into. It doesn't take much after that for Warrior to hit Goldust with a standing clothesline, but not before giving Goldust an idea for a full-length feature: "Kicking your ass from beginning to end."
Yokozuna is about to be placed on the ambulance when Vader shows up and attacks Yokozuna's injured leg with a steel chair.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Duke "The Dumpster" Droese. During the match, we hear a pre-recorded message from Marc Mero that Hunter Hearst Helmsley took him by surprise, but the real surprise begins next week.
Diana Hart Smith is seen in the front row as The British Bulldog shows up with Owen Hart.
Yokozuna is finally placed into the ambulance as it rains outside.
Ahmed Johnson and The British Bulldog show up for their arm wrestling match. Owen Hart tells Ahmed to turn back now as The British Bulldog is the strongest man there is. Owen then accuses Ahmed of trying to cheat, saying he has a bunch of oil on him that could give him extra leverage, which leads Ahmed to wipe his hands on the back of the referee's shirt. The referee tells Owen Hart to knock it off or else he's going to the back. Owen then accuses Ahmed of getting more leverage, and Ahmed picks up the steel chair in preparation to smack Owen with it. The ref tells him he's going to the back if he hears any more out of him. Owen then says that Bulldog isn't ready yet, and that leads the ref to tell Owen to go back to the back, and it takes another referee to get Owen to go over there. The arm wrestling match then commences, after a back-and-forth battle, Ahmed wins. The Bulldog then proves himself a sore loser by hitting Ahmed with a steel chair before putting the table in the corner, hitting the ref, hitting Ahmed with the steel chairs in the ring and whipping Ahmed into the table when Ahmed tries to fight back. After two attempts to send Ahmed through the table, Bulldog picks up the table and throws it into Ahmed before hitting the table with multiple double-foot stomps while the table is on top of Ahmed. Officials have to keep The British Bulldog from attacking Ahmed further. After Bulldog leaves, officials help Ahmed to the back.
Savio Vega faces off against Goldust for the WWF Intercontinental Championship next week on Raw!
Diesel guests on commentary for the next match.
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels beats Jerry "The King" Lawler. Diesel and Shawn stare down from opposite ends of the ropes after Shawn calls him out, and the two of them brawl as soon as Diesel gets into the ring. Mr. Perfect steals the WWF Championship, and when Shawn notices, Diesel takes advantage of the situation and gets the upper hand. Mr. Perfecthands the WWF Championship to Diesel, who hits Shawn with it. Diesel places the title on top of a downed Shawn Michaels and celebrates, then gives Mr. Perfect a high-five before leaving.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 11, 1996
Savio Vega and The Ringmaster - now known as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - fight to a double count-out. After the bell, Austin and Vega continue to fight each other as the referee tries to break them up. During the match, US Olympic hopeful Mark Henry can be seen in the front row.
Earlier tonight, Mark Henry puts Jerry "The King" Lawler in a gorilla press slam, much to the surprise of Dr. Isaac Yankem, D.D.S., after Lawler says Henry couldn't possibly jump over the guardrail and get in the ring with him.
Last week on Superstars, Savio Vega and Razor Ramon beat The Million Dollar Corporation (The 1-2-3 Kid and Tatanka) to continue to the next round of the Tag Team Tournament. This weekend on Superstars, The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) will take on The Bodydonnas (Zip and Skip) in the final first round match of the tournament.
Goldust and Marlena show up before the break.
Tonight's featured WWF Store item is the limited edition WrestleMania 12 denim jackets. Only 5,000 are available, and once they're gone, they're gone.
When we come back from break, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up. Piper wants to know exactly what is up with Goldust, and criticizes his appearance. Roddy says he's seen the "Piper's Pit" movie, and says that Goldust is embarassing him just so he can get some attention. He reminds us that he beat Adrian Adonis half to death with a baseball bat, and that Goldust's mind games aren't working for a second. He says "it's time to get our sexuality right," stating that Goldust is what he is and that Roddy himself is a lesbian. Piper says that what really bothers him is the pride that Goldust doesn't have, that he's not holding the Intercontinental Championship with pride, and that he's only in it to raise the ratings. Piper says that not even Freddy Krueger enters his nightmares. Goldust takes the microphone and states that he wants a piece of him really bad and knows Piper wants a piece of him, and tells him to stop pretending. He says that Piper has strayed from reality and is here to bring him back down to earth as he kneels down. He invites Piper to come to his backlot as that is where he does his best work and knows that Piper can do some of his there, too. Goldust tries to lay a hand on Piper, much to Piper's chagrin, and tries to pull up his skirt for a "sneak preview." Piper pushes Goldust's hand away, saying no more. Goldust and Piper stare down, then Goldust tries to seduce him. Piper pushes Goldust back, and Goldust slaps Piper in the face. Piper slaps Goldust back, knocking him down to the canvas and also knocking his wig off his head. Piper tells him he's got his backlot fight, and that he's going to make a man out of him. (This effectively turns the Miami Street Fight between Goldust and Razor Ramon into a Hollywood Backlot Brawl between Goldust and Piper, as Razor Ramon is suspended due to drug use.)
The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) beat Alex Porteau and Jerry Mead.
We see "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels training at home in San Antonio, where he introduces us to his mentor Jose Luthario, who made his every dream come true if he just listened to him. Eleven years later, he is now within grasp of the WWF Championship.
We see Bret "The Hit Man" Hart at home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Bret notes the difference in wrestling styles between him and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, saying that HBK's wrestling style is more in tune with Mexican wrestling, while his is more of a tough submission style. He says that talk of Shawn Michaels being better than him drives him nuts, and says that while Shawn is good, he will never be the best.
It is announced that Hunter Hearst Helmsley will be facing The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 12.
Michelle Snickler accompanies Hunter Hearst Helmsley to the ring tonight.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Ben Greer.
"Scheme Gene" covers The Huckster vs. Nacho Man being aired for free on the Free For All before in the "Geriatric Match Report." Once again, the WWF makes fun of Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage's storyline in WCW with a "no handcuffs or ladies' shoes allowed at ringside" stipulation being added to this fabricated match-up. We also see The Huckster train only to put his back out and rely on a walker and an oxygen mask. Meanwhile, The Nacho Man has spray-on hair applied to his bald spot. We also find out that "Billionaire Ted" is the special guest referee for this match...if he can pull himself away from the FTC hearings, that is. The WCW Hotline is parodied again, with the burning question being "Will there be nightfall?"
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart prepares for WrestleMania in a match against Tatanka next week on Raw.
Diesel watches the next match from the back in preparation for a tag match this weekend where he teams with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels against The Undertaker and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. He hopes that the rumors about Shawn Michaels aren't true, but he won't say what those rumors are.
Diesel shows up during Yokozuna and The Undertaker vs. Owen Hart and The British Bulldog and attacks Paul Bearer, then leaves. The Undertaker spots Diesel and leaves the ring, tends to Paul Bearer, then goes after Diesel, effectively making this match a 2-on-1 handicap match.
After the commercial break, Vader shows up and knocks down Yokozuna. Ahmed Johnson shows up and makes quick work of Owen Hart and The British Bulldog before beating Vader at his own power game. Jake "The Snake" Robert shows up to fully even the odds, and Cornette tries to help out on his side and direct traffic. Officials have to get into the ring to restore order, but Yokozuna fights back against Vader, and he, Ahmed and Roberts force Cornette's camp to retreat. Vader grabs a chair and smacks it against the ringposts, but is unable to do much else.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 26, 1996
Jake "The Snake" Roberts beats Isaac Yankem, D.D.S.
We see last week's video package of the Warrior, interspersed with young fans asking for "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to bring him back.
Diesel beats Bob "Spark Plug" Holly. As Diesel is heading to the back, the lights go off. When they come back on, the Undertaker is in the ring. Diesel, noticing that 'Taker is in the ring, heads straight for it, but it goes dark again. When the lights come back on, The Undertaker has disappeared. The lights go dark a third time, then The Undertaker appears on the video wall. He says he hopes Diesel doesn't expect things to be that easy, and tells him that if Diesel wants to play mind games, he is the master. He then tells Diesel he will see him on the dark side.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart takes on Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels takes on The 1-2-3 Kid...next week on Raw.
Ahmed Johnson beats Shinobi. During the match, Vince McMahon interviews Goldust via telephone, who makes fun of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper through poem and says he wants to "play his bagpipe."
We hear from Mankind again. He says the most beautiful woman in the world is his mother, who he claims always understood him until she sent her away. He says that Mankind is suffering and in agony, and that the time has come to release that pain, which will be wonderful for him and not very wonderful for everyone else. He says he's coming home.
Today's featured item in the WWF Store is the official WrestleMania 12 T-Shirt, only $18 plus shipping and handling. It even lists all the cities and venues to hold the first 11 WrestleManias on the back.
This past weekend on Superstars, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog beat Hakushi and Barry Horowitz to advance in the tag team tournament. Next week, The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) take on The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) in another first-round matchup.
Vince McMahon interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in the ring. Shawn says that there is not a person in this building that has more respect for Bret than him, and that Bret is indeed the best there was and is, and possibly the best that ever will be, but he doesn't believe that Bret is the best there is because that title belongs to him. Bret says Shawn is one of the greatest wrestlers he's ever had the privilege of wrestling, and that the last five months have been the hardest of his own career, but he looks forward to getting in the ring with Shawn to show exactly why he's the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. He says it's not his job to beat Shawn, and as WWF Champion, it's Shawn's job to beat him. He has nothing but respect for him, but when the bell rings, he plans to hit Shawn with everything but the kitchen sink as he will be in the biggest dogfight in this life. Shawn says conditioning will play a big part in this match, and says Bret has had one tough opponent after another, but he's been holding his own lately, too. He tells The Hit Man that they do have a lot of respect for each other, but he's in the best shape of his life. As for Bret's condition, Bret compares himself to the Energizer Bunny. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up, and says that he was listening to this interview and wanted to make sure the fans got a fair shake on every fight at WrestleMania 12, and says that you can't boo guys like Bret and Shawn. He says that March 31st is the night to fight, and if there's going to be a fight, there will be a winner. He then announces that Bret vs. Shawn at WrestleMania 12 will be a 60-minute Iron Man match. He tells both men to shake each other's hands now, as they'll be hating each other afterwards.
Yokozuna beats Owen Hart and The British Bulldog in a handicap match by disqualification after Vader attacks Yokozuna. Suddenly, Ahmed Johnson and Jake "The Snake" Roberts show up. Ahmed takes out Hart and Bulldog, then Ahamed and Roberts (the latter with his snake Revelations) force Vader to retreat.
"The Huckster" and "The Nacho Man" appear on "Larry Fling Live." Nacho says they left WWF because they were too old to wrestle and they couldn't keep up with the new generation. Huckster says their continuing careers are no charade. Billionaire Ted appears via satellite, and almost causes a ruckus when he says that if he's as overpaid as Huckster and Nacho Man, then maybe he should get in the ring like those "has-beens." The "has-beens" remark causes The Huckster to pull out a steel chair meant for Larry Fling, but Larry Flying pulls out a high heel to make him back off. When Huckster and Nacho are asked who will win their match at "WrestleMania," both of them say they will, causing Huckster to hit Nacho with the steel chair as well as a bunch of producers. Larry Fling has to keep the Huckster at bay with the high heel.

He then hear from Gorilla Monsoon, who says that he will be okay and apologizes for his actions towards Vader that evening, saying he responded as Gorilla Monsoon and not as the interim WWF President. He thanks the fans for their well-wishes. As for Vader, it's out of his hands and into those of the Board of Directors, and that an apology to him is "highly unlikely." Concerning "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as the new President, he considers Piper a good friend of his and says that desperate times lead to desperate actions. thinks that Piper will be good for the WWF until he returns at WrestleMania.

Diesel then grabs a steel chair and rams it into 'Taker's back, then sends him into the ring and hits him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. The Undertaker does what he can to get back up, and Diesel puts The Undertaker in another Jackknife Power Bomb before leaving the ring.
During the commercial break, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart gets back up and attacks Diesel. Officials have to break the brawl up. Meanwhile, The Undertaker is lying in the ring.
We see more from the "Billionaire Ted" press conference. When asked about WCW wasting millions of dollars, "Ted" says he's just having fun. As for the Time Warner merger, he doesn't care about the shareholder and is only concerned about having fun, saying that as long as he's having fun, that's all that matters. As for what motivates him? Power and money. We then see an advertisement concerning the $40 million dollars wasted on "Ted's" vendetta against the World Wrestling Federation that was rejected by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. A modified version of the ad will be published in The New York Times' Financial section this Wednesday.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 29, 1996
Diesel beats The British Bulldog after Bulldog's removal of a turnbuckle pad, Jim Cornette's distraction and a Yokozuna leg drop on Diesel all backfire. During the match, Yokozuna shows up and watches the match from The British Bulldog's corner, and it is announced that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is on his way to the arena.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart said he once had respect for Diesel and thought he was a great champion. He says WWF is run on Hitman power and that Diesel has a problem with that, constantly getting into his matches. He hopes to settle it once and for all in a steel cage match - a type of match he has never lost - as the Excellence of Execution wipes Diesel out.
At In Your House, Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid will be in a Cry Baby Match, where the loser of the match will get a baby bottle and a diaper change. Also, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese will take on Hunter Hearst Helmsley after Helmsley cut Droese's hair on last week's Superstars. It is then announced that a TBS systems official telephoned WWF and express his "delight" in the Billionaire Ted vignettes. We then see the letter from said official (WCW Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff) that threatens legal action against WWF. Dok Hendrix says the WWF is ready to fight for their rights, their company and their fans.
We then hear from "Billionaire Ted," The Huckster, and Nacho Man. Ted says he is not a hillbilly and he doesn't wear cheap suits. When asked questions, he refuses to answer them and says "The facts speak for themselves." The only thing he confirms is that he is trying to run WWF out of business. The Huckster and Macho Man start fighting when asked who will win their match at WrestleMania after Huckster says that it's in his contact with Billionaire Ted that he's not allowed to lose. Ted is then asked what he wouldn't do to put WWF out of business. When he says he'd only use his own money, Huckster and Nacho turn on Ted, and Ted freaks out before asking "Jane" where his lithium is.
The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) beat The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip) in Phineas' Raw debut. The Bodydonnas and Hillbilly Jim dance with a very reluctant Sunny after the match before celebrating on their own.
Clarence Mason calls Vader's suspension completely unfair as Interim WWF President Gorilla Monsoon put his hands on Vader and knew his history, and that he has already prepared a motion to nullify it as Vader did his actions in self-defense. He has also prepared a temporary stay on the suspension, and that he will also sue for civil and criminal action if Vader is not unsuspended immediately.
Well wishes to Interim WWF President Gorilla Monsoon can be mailed to the following address: Get Well Gorilla, P.O. Box 3857, Stamford, CT 06905.
Vince McMahon interviews in the ring the man that Gorilla Monsoon has chosen as the Acting President of the World Wrestling Federation: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper says it's a surprise to him as much as anyone, but says he's done some surprising things himself. He says he sees a new generation of the toughest athletes he's ever seen, saying they're stronger, faster and smarter but a little confused, and that he intends to straighten things out, saying there will be no government shutdown when he's President as he makes a Newt Gingrich joke. He then pulls out some hand-prepared notes, which happens to be rules, but puts them away when Vince says he's never lived by any rules. He then tells the fans that he loves them and that they're in good hands with him. As for the Superstars, everyone will pay the Piper and that Vince is no different. He then puts Vince in an airplane spin.
We hear from a man missing an ear who asks why the sky is blue, why his ear is missing, why he is how he is and why people are afraid of him. He then tells us to have a nice kind. Jerry "The King" Lawler says that this man is named Mankind.
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels beats Yokozuna with Jim Cornette and Owen Hart's interference attempt backfires. Yokozuna gets ticked off with Cornette and Hart, and The British Bulldog shows up to be the voice of reason in the dissension amongst the ranks. All of them go after Shawn Michaels, but Diesel shows up and joins Shawn, clearing the ring. Vince McMahon then interviews Cornette, who says there is no dissension amongst his men, and challenges Shawn and Diesel to a tag team match against Yokozuna and Bulldog next week to see who the better team is. They accept.
