Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 12, 1995

Jim Cornette says that Yokozuna will be the King of the Ring, and Lex Luger the pawn. Luger is sick and tired of Yokozuna embarassing and humiliating America, and plans to put all of this to an end tonight.

Bob Backlund's campaigning for President continues.

Bama Bam Bigelow beats Duane Gill. During the match, Vince McMahon interviews Diesel via telephone. Diesel doesn't know if he'll be back at 100%, but says he will be there for Bam Bam.

We get our first look at Waylon Mercy. He plans to smash the

The WWF blimb will fly over tthe Shea Stadium, New York City, the U.S. OPen Golf Tournament and Fenway Park on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Barry Didinsky, The Mad Capper and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) play - and advertise - Mad Caps backstage for $25 plus $3.95 shipping and handling. Coming with it for free - the official WWE Mad Caps T-shirt.

Kama beats David Haskins. Before the match, a black funeral wreathe is left in the corner at ringside by two unemotive, pale-faced fans of The Undertaker fully clad in black. Kama isn't very appreciative of it.

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Sycho Sid and Tatanka tells Diesel and Bam Bam Bigelow that they will be dealing with reality when they get in the ring with them. Also, Jerry "The King" Lawler pulls out a nasty-looking fake foot, saying that this is a sample of what Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be placing his lips on at King of the Ring.

Undertaker takes on Mabel, Shawn Michaels takes on Kama, and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly takes on The Roadie in the first three first-round matches of the King of the Ring tournament.

"The King of Harts" Owen Hart, Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji encourage Yokozuna to bulk up on rice before tonight's event.

The WWF World Tour de Force takes place in Germany and California during the week.

Man Mountain Rock quickly beats Bob Cook with the Whammy Bar.

The Fabulous Moolah, Pedro Morales, The Grand Wizard and George "The Animal" Steele have been inducted into the 1994 WWF Hall of Fame Class.

Bob Backlund gets his hands on Man Mountain Rock's guitar, rants about Man Mountain Rock's music while showing how uninformed he is, and takes out the cameraman as he rolls to the ground.

Tekno Team 2000 (Travis and Troy) beats John Crystal and Mike Khoury - who wear jean shorts in their Raw debut.

Man Mountain Rock is devastated that his guitar has been destroyed by Bob Backlund. He tells Backlund he's made this personal, and that he will deal with him.

Sycho Sid and Tatanka take on The Headshrinkers (Fatu and Sione) next week on Raw.

Lex Luger fan Scott Anton carries the American flag for Lex Luger's entrance. (Scott Anton would later join World Championship Wrestling later that year under the name Scotty Riggs.)

Yokozuna beats Lex Luger by count-out to qualify for the King of the Ring tournament when Mr. Fuji confronts Scott Anton. Luger goes after Fuji, then turns around and attacks Jim Cornette, who is trying to attack him with his tennis racket. Yokozuna takes advantage of the situation and gets Luger from behind, slamming him into the ring post and hitting him with a leg drop before climbing back into the ring before the ten count.

Next week: The Undertaker! Shawn Michaels!

We see Jerry "The King" Lawler's "training" footage of himself walking barefoot in manure in his royal stable. Jerry "The King" Lawler then finds obscene amounts of joy in replaying the footage of himself making "The Portuguese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya kiss his royal foot on last week's Superstars.
