Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 26, 1995

Shawn Michaels guests on commentary this week to fill in for a conspicuously absent Jerry "The King" Lawler, who is still feeling the effects of last night's Kiss My Foot Match.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Jason Ahrndt and The Black Phantom.

Earlier today, Jerry "The King" Lawler is in the office of his best friend Isaac Yankem, D.D.S., who has worked on his mouth for the past hour. Lawler says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart has not seen the last of him, and that Isaac Yankem will take care of Bret Hart himself, as he was once a great wrestler (under a presumed name) before he became a great dentist (in Lawler's words), and extract revenge along with some teeth. All the while, Lawler is trying to fix his breath with toothpaste, chewing gum, gargling water and any other means necessary.

The Encore Plus edition of King of the Ring 1995 will be aired tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern/Pacific.

Barry Didinsky gives us one last chance to get the King of the Ring hat and T-shirt. Also available: The official Bret "The Hit Man" Hart glasses with a signature Bret "The Hit Man" Hart hat for only $19.

Skip beats Scott Taylor.

This past Saturday, the WWF Superstars had a charity softball games with the stars of Hollywood and the NFL as part of "Hitting for the Heartland." Benefits went to Disaster Educational Fund, founded by local businesses to provide college funds to the children of those who lost a parent or guardian in the Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing earlier this year.

Due to Sycho Sid's actions last night, Diesel gets another shot at Sid in a Lumberjack Match at In Your House, live on July 23rd.

Earlier tonight, Savio Vega said that "Double J" Jeff Jarrett may be a tough guy, but he's bringing the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Puerto Rico.

Bam Bam Bigelow takes on Sycho Sid next week on Raw.

Man Mountain Rock beats Phil Apollo with the Whammy Bar. During the match, it is announced that Jim Ross' current status report on Razor Ramon is available on The Ross Report on Option 6.

Before the next match, Mabel - in full King of the Ring royal regalia - is carried on a throne to the ring.

Mabel - now calling himself King Mabel - beats Kenny Kendall.

Waylon Mercy debuts on Raw next week. As he sits in a lifeguard's station by the beach, he says that the lives of the Superstars he goes up against will be "in Waylon Mercy's hands."

This weekend on Superstars, we see the debut of the music video for the long-awaited "Double J" Jeff Jarrett single, With My Baby Tonight.

Savio Vega beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett by disqualification to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship after The Roadie interferes.. During the match, The Roadie almost gets physical with Shawn Michaels for pulling on his hair and putting his hands on him. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett tries to take advantage of the situation, but Shawn Michaels gets a shot on Jarrett as he does a running double axe handle on him. After the match, Shawn Michaels goes to town on Jarrett and The Roadie and sends them both out of the ring, then raises Savio Vega's hand in victory.

After the break, Shawn Michaels dances and poses on the announce table while his entrance music still plays to much applause. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie come back, and Jarrett gets on the mic, but he cannot be heard at all before the show ends.
