Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 15, 1999

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley - decked out in a football uniform - beats Jimmy Hart, who is in a medieval suit of armor, in a hardcore match after Jimmy Hart falls through a table set up by Brian Knobbs. After the match, Knobbs continues to attack Smiley, and Smiley screams every time he gets hit with a trash can. Knobbs then helps Hart to the back after he falls in a portable trash dumpster.

Mike Tenay interviews Curt Hennig, who says that the powers that be have put him in an uncomfortable situation. If Golberg wins, he is gone. If he wins, he gets a new contract with WCW. Regardless of whether or not he wins, he will put up a fight.

Kimberly finds Terry Taylor (formerly of the World Wrestling Federation) backstage, who wants to know why the powers that be want to see her. He doesn't know, but he tells her that she had better go see them.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are backstage, with Nash wearing a blonde curly wig and make-up that makes him look like Sid Vicious.

Mike Tenay interviews Spice of The Nitro Girls in footage from earlier today. Spice says AC Jazz, whom she is scheduled to face in a match tonight, is indeed a no-show, and says that AC Jazz has not only figured out what is best for the team, but she is officially out of The Nitro Girls. All of a sudden, Spice is suddenly attacked by Tygress.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) show up. Scott Hall says they have a message for Sid Vicious: he is as dumb as he looks and he has the proof right next to him. Kevin Nash, in make-up and a blonde wig that makes him look like Sid, mocks Sid, and says he would be the United States champion right now if he could walk and chew gum at the same time. He says he may be a little slow, look like a jackass and have the face and brains of a mule, may be outwitted and not even be able to form a complete sentence, but he is the ruler of the world. Suddenly, the real Sid Vicious shows up, and says he has enough of The Outsiders as they have screwed him and made him look like a jackass, but it all stops tonight. Nash can wear any costume he wants, but Nash is half the man that he is as and that he has half the brains that Nash does. (Author's note: he seriously says this.) Week after week, they tried to make him look like a jackass, but it stop tonight, and for Nash, the road to the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends. Even though he is already scheduled to wrestle night, if he can get his "chickenshit ass" out of retirement, he will show him who the master and ruler is when they go one-on-one. Nash says he is still retired, but Sid tells him to be a man, not a clown, as he can look at him and see a shell of the former him.

Mike Tenay interviews Booker T. Booker T says the time is counting down, and tonight, midnight will strike for Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald, an obvious reference to Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco). Creative Control will learn a good mystery always come together in the end, and midnight will strike sooner that we think.

Kimberly meets Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald). One of them lets Vince Russo know that she is here, while the other one tries to hit on her.

Kimberly tells Vince Russo she does not want to be a wrestler, but Vine Russo tells her that she does not know what she wants to be, and if she is not going to dance as a Nitro Girl, she will wrestle like everyone else as she is still under contract to him. To show there are no hard feelings, she will be in a "tune-up" match against Asya, and that there will be a special guest referee to ensure she does not get hurt. Kimberly does not want to do the match, but Vince Russo and Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) tell her it is in her best interest. After Russo tells Kimberly to leave, Russo tells Creative Control to deal with Booker T, as he does not want him as a thorn in his side any longer. Creative Control leaves, then Kevin Nash enters the room and sits in front of Russo.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. tries to sell his Amway products to Booker T, but Booker T is far from interested as he heads to the ring.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) beat Booker T in a two-on-one handicap match. At the beginning of the match, it is announced that the powers that be have waived Kevin Nash's retirement, and Nash will take on Sid Vicious in an anything goes Street Fight later tonight. After the match, Creative Control continue to take the boots to Booker T when the lights go out. When they come back on, the woman from last week is in the ring, and she helps Booker T stand tall against Creative Control. It soon becomes obvious that the woman's name is Midnight.

Jimmy Hart and Brian Knobbs argue while The Barbarian and Jerry Flynn get in a physical altercation, as cracks show in The First Family. Flynn tells The Barbarian that he will see him "at the block."

Goldberg is seen entering the building.

Vince Russo chews out Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) for being beaten up by Midnight, and tells them that he saved their careers, and asks them if they remember being The Blu Brothers (Eli and Jacob Blu) before asking if he should call Dutch Manel (aka "Uncle Zebekiah") up. He also asks if they remember being Skull and 8-Ball of D.O.A., then tells them to "get on the stick" or they will be out the door. He then tells them to get out of his sight and bring him Torrie Wilson and The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero), whom he calls "Torrie and the luchadors."

In the Mayhem Match of the Week, Evan Karagias beats Johnny Boone. Madusa is seen walking behind Evan Karagias as he heads to the ring before the match, and she joins on commentary, and it sounds like Madusa has found someone special in her life. Later on, Madusa gets in the ring and lifts Johnny Boone's shirt over his head before pushing him back to Karagias, giving him the win. After the match, Madusa and Evan Karagias share a few kisses, then Karagias carries Madusa to the back.

Villano IV, Silver King, El Dandy and Psychosis are meeting with Vince Russo. Juventud Guerrera shows up with a pinata, and Vince gives all give of them a chance to get a lot of money. Their match will involve Juvi's pinata as well as a bunch of sticks, and everybody can hit each other with them. They can also beat the pinata with the stick to get a check for $10,000. Whoever gets the check is the winner.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams is seen heading to the building with a guy who looks like Jim Ross.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) are seen looking for Torrie Wilson and The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysteryio, Kidman, Eddie Guerrero).

Juventud Guerrera vs. Silver King vs. El Dandy vs. Villano IV vs. Psychosis in a Pinata On A Pole Match ends in a no-contest. During the match, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams shows up and watches the match from ringside, and the Jim Ross look-alike guests on commentary to re-introduce the world to Steve Williams and hijack the match's commentary. At the beginning of the match, the pinata comes off the pole, and at the luchadores try to put it back on the pole to no success. The match ends when Dr. Death gets in the ring and levels everybody. Silver King gets the check, but Dr. Death takes it from him before gorilla press slamming him on the top rope.

Mike Tenay interviews Goldberg. Goldberg says professionally, he has no thing but respect for Curt Hennig, but personally, he does not give a damn about the powers that be. He says he is the power, and that strange things have been happening and that nobody remembers who he is or what he represents. Tonight, he gets in the ring because it is his job, and there will be a reality check for the rest of the world when they find out who he really is.

Mike Tenay interviews Kevin Nash, who is no longer disguised as Sid Vicious. He says that Tony Schiavone was right when he said that the retirement angle was bogus, and he goes on to say that WCW sucked at the time. He decided he was going to take time off until the company got fun again, and after Scott Hall returned, it got fun again. As for Sid, there is an old wrestling proverb that states "Don't wake a sleeping giant." He plans to not only kick Sid's teeth out, he plans to crawl up his ass and kick them out from the inside.

Goldberg is on his way to the ring when Curt Hennig shows up and slams a door in his face. When he opens it back up, Goldberg gives him the fight of his life in the hallway. As they make their way to the ring, the cameraman gets kicked, and the bell rings when both men make it down to the aisle.

Goldberg beats Curt Hennig with a leg bar. After the match, Curt Hennig slaps referee Mickey Jay, and Goldberg Spears Hennig before hitting him with the Jackhammer.

Kimberly is on the phone with Diamond Dallas Page. When she hangs up, the lights go out. Thankfully for her, David Flair has nothing to do with it, and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan shows up saying a fuse has blown out. He hands her a flashlight while he replaces the fuse.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) find The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio, Kidman, Eddie Guerrero), and ask where Torrie Wilson, threatening to fire them if they don't get her to the boss' office. The Filthy Animals go looking for her.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, now wearing brown coveralls, is looking for a fuse. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. tries to sell him a fuse.

Berlyn - who shows up with a long metal chain - and his bodyguard (now known as The Wall, an obvious reference to the Berlin Wall) beat Vampiro and The Misfits. During the match, Berlyn pulls The Wall out of a pinfall, telling him to go to the corner so he can get the win. The Wall obeys, but when Berlyn goes for the over, The Wall pulls him off. This leads to a shoving match between Berlyn and The Wall, and Vampiro rolls up Berlyn. Berlyn kicks out, and Vampiro runs into a choke slam from The Wall. The Wall gets the three-count on Vampiro, then Berlyn grabs the chain and chokes Vampiro out with it.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) take Torrie Wilson to the office. Goldberg is seen backstage despite having his match.

Terri Runnels is made the special guest referee for Kimberly vs. Asya, and is given a black-and-white striped two-piece swimsuit as Vince Russo tells her that she does not need to know how to referee a match and that all she needs to know is how to look good.

EMTs tend to Rick Steiner after the commercial break, and is taken to an ambulance on a stretcher.

Despite the many doubters he had in his career, his goal is now within reach, and not even Scott Hall can stand between him and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Before the next match, Asya goes at it with special guest referee Torrie Wilson, who is wearing a black-and-white striped two-piece bikini. Kidman hands Torrie Wilson a coat and gets her back to the back, then Asya and Kimberly fight each other without a referee in sight for a few seconds. Somebody in a referee's uniform shows up, but it is David Flair with a crowbar. Kimberly runs away upon seeing David, and when David gets in the ring, Asya proceeds to beat the crap out of him. David fights Asya off before she can hit him with her own crowbar, then puts her in a vertical suplex. Shane Douglas shows up in the ring, his left arm still in a cast, and David hits him with a crowbar before he escapes through the crowd as Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn run into the ring.

Someone is seen backstage delivering flowers to Sting. Sting gets them and a note from The Total Package saying "Let's talk." Sting tells the flower delivery man to tell The Total Package that he will knock his teeth down his throat. Meanwhile, The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth are seen watching the whole thing on a monitor somewhere else backstage, and The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth try to figure out what to do next.

Goldberg, now in his street clothes, is still backstage.

Kimberly is seen running out of the arena. David Flair stops short of the exit, looks into the camera and says "It won't be that easy six days from now, sweetheart."

A recovered Bret "The Hit Man" Hart accompanies "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit to the ring. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are not happy and want Bret out of the ring, but they are unsuccessful.

Hall tries to use a taped-up knuckle to knock out Benoit, but Benoit puts him in the Crippler Crossface before he can use it and makes Hall tap out.

Goldberg is seen watching the show on a monitor backstage.

Mike Tenay interviews Buff Bagwell. Buff says the powers that be have tried everything to bury him. It has gotten to him just a little bit, but he will not roll over and play dead for Jeff Jarrett.

WCW Mayhem: The Music is available in stores tomorrow!

Rey Mysterio Jr. guests on commentary for the next match.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Kidman with the Sharpshooter to advance in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) show up and get a peek at Torrie Wilson. He says it is no coincidence he is this far in the tournament, and he is going to the final four whether Bagwell likes it or not.

Jeff Jarrett beats Buff Bagwell to advance in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) show up and watch from the aisle, temporarily distracting Buff Bagwell. One of them gets up from ringside, and the other slides a guitar to Jarrett as the referee is tying his shoe. Buff grabs the guitar and smacks the first guy in the head, then Jarrett hits Buff Bagwell with The Stroke to win. It soon becomes apparent that the referee is in cahoots when the referee smiles and hugs Jarrett briefly before Jarrett and Creative Control attack Buff, with the referee directing traffic. Dustin Rhodes climbs over the guardrail dressed in all black, and he levels Jarrett and Creative Control as the referee runs away. Buff then clotheslines Jarrett out of the ring, and he and Dustin Rhodes high-five each other.

Backstage, Kevin Nash paces back and forth in the locker room. Meanwhile, Goldberg headbutts a Surge machine when it eats his spare change and gets a soda out of it, and Miss Elizabeth and The Total Package lace their brownies meant for Sting with Ex-Lax, saying "this oughta soften 'em up."

Mike Tenay interviews The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Asya), who will soon be holding the very first House Of Pain Match in WCW. Shane Douglas says The House Of Pain is where The Revolution will show the world exactly what they are made of, and says it is the most dangerous structure ever developed in WCW, a veritable torture chamber for The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero) and a spectacular forum for The Revolution. When The House Of Pain match is over, the pain has just begun.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan stops the delivery man who is delivering the brownies to Sting, saying he needs a pass to be in the hallway. He tells him he will deliver the brownies to Sting, then takes the brownies and eats them, not knowing they are laced with Ex-Lax.

Miss Elizabeth gets in the ring and sprays mace in Sting's face, then The Total Package gets Sting in the Torture Rack. The ref is still down, and Meng shows up and puts The Total Package in the Tongan Death Grip. Elizabeth tries to mace him, but it has no effect and he chases Elizabeth out of the ring.
