Title Tuesday - Dynamite recap for October 10, 2023

Eddie Kingston retains the Ring of Honor World Championship and the New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Openweight Championship against Minoru Suzuki in the Buy-In. After the match, both men hug in a sign of respect.

Tony Khan announces that Jon Moxley cannot be cleared by AEW doctors and will not be able to compete tonight, but Rey Fenix will be defending the AEW Intercontinental Championship. Orange Cassidy and Hook show up, and Hook recommends Orange, saying he never got his rematch. Tony agrees, and Orange accepts the match for tonight. Hook allows Tony to have a Dorito.

The main show beings with Christian Cage in the production truck, stating tonight is the biggest Dynamite ever, and that it is fitting that he is the first thing people see. He says there are serious implications for the TNT Championship, starting with "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland squaring off for a shot against him and his championship this Saturday on Collision. He thne says that if Swerve wins the match, it will be fine by him, as Swerve left a bad taste in his mouth after costing him the match against Sting and Darby Allin at All In. He then says that Danielson still fancies himself the best in the world, but his title says otherwise. Christian also announces that Luchasaurus will end Adam Copeland's run in AEW before it even gets started, and that he may have to elaborate on the words that he left Copeland with last week. Christian then announces that as the face of TNT, he has procured the first thirty minutes of the show commercial-free.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Swerve Strickland to earn a shot at the TNT Championship after "Hangman" Adam Page stops Swerve Strickland from using Prince Nana's crown to steal the win.

We hear from Samoa Joe, who states that he will begin his road to championship gold at Collision by showing why he is violence manifest and domination made flesh as he takes what he wants when he wants to.

Powerhouse Hobbs beats Chris Jericho, then attacks him one more time after the match.

Earlier today at Roderick Strong's house, Roderick Strong has Adam Cole cut his front lawn while on the scooter. He also gets a "Neck Strong" T-shirt, then Adam Cole mentions that there is no cell service at the house and not a single television in it, either. Roddy says it keeps him and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) engaged and that "TV is the devil." When Adam is about to leave, Roderick Strong still needs one more thing.

Orange Cassidy beats Rey Fenix to become the AEW International Champion for a second time!

Backstage, RJ City interviews "Timeless" Toni Storm, who says that tonight does not have enough cinema and premieres her newest silent film, "Lover's Lament."

Wardlow quickly beats Matt Sydal by referee stoppage following four consecutive powerbombs, then leaves through the crowd.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Chris Jericho. Daniel Garcia shows up to check on Chris Jericho, while "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard says "We're better than that."

"Switchblade" Jay White beats "Hangman" Adam Page after the rest of Bullet Club Gold ("Rock Hard" Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) distract referee Bryce Remsburg while Prince Nana distracts Adam Page, allowing Jay White to grab the tights on the schoolkid pin for the win. After the match, Adam Page chases Prince Nana to the back, then MJF shows up and tells Jay White that if he wants a main event match with him, he has it. He then demands the return of the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Jay White says he was going to return it until MJF decided to be rude, but MJF says he knows Jay White better than Jay White because he used to be that, and that Jay White does not care about anyone else and will use, abuse and main employee and that Jay White could give less of a shit about Bullet Club Gold and is using them to get to where he wants to be because it is part of his playbook. He then says that when he wakes up, he does the hard thing and tries to be a better man, and while it is his hard, it is working because he does not punch out the mirror's reflection and he has earned the fans' respect. MJF says there are two things he cares about right now - Adam Cole and his legacy and livelihood in the AEW World Heavyweight Championship - and states that holding the AEW World title makes one the best in the world. MJF admits that if Bullet Club Gold was not in the ring, he would have broken Jay's neck and taken back what is his, and that he knows he is very talented, and while he may one day be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, that day is not today. MJF then tells Jay White to dig deep, be a man, show some dignity and show some respect to everyone and return the AEW World Heavyweight Championship that he has not yet earned. Jay White refuses, saying MJF has to earn it, and tells him to be patient and that he will earn his chance to face him for it and fail. He then dares MJF to find three other people who can tolerate it and beat the four of them, and says that maybe then, he can return the belt to him. "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson then announces that next week, there is a Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal for a chance to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring and that he will be in it and beating MJF and taking his ring, and after he takes everything MJF loves, he will give him a present: a roll of quarters with the word "Friedman" on it. This immediately infuriates MJF while simultaneously opening some old wounds, who threatens to end Robinson's life if he comes at him with the roll of quarters, then leaves.

We see part two of "Lover's Lament."

Hikaru Shida beats Saraya to become the AEW Women's World Championship for a record third time following being sprayed in the eyes, two Nightcaps and a series of roll-up attempts. During the match, a black-clad and masked Ruby Soho - who is banned from ringside for this match - tries to sneak up on Shida and blast her in the eyes with spray paint, but Shida is able tos top her, unmask her and spray her in the eyes before "Timeless" Tony Storm runs out and hits Ruby with both of her shoes. Later on, Saraya tries to cheat with Shida's Kendo stick and a can of spray paint, and when the Kendo stick is taken away, Saraya spray paints Shida in the eyes, but Shida is able to kick out even after a second Nightcap.

It is announced that due to internal injuries, Chris Jericho has been taken to a local hospital to see how severe his injuries are. It is also announced that this Christmas, over 50,000 AEW toys will be donated to Toys For Tots.

Backstage, we hear from Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita. Callis draws a picture of Jericho being stabbed in the neck, then he and Takeshita brag about how Powerhouse Hobbs destroyed Chris Jericho with a bunch of signs and how The Don Callis Family is in AEW to exact revenge. They also state that sammy Guevara will be back and that Chris Jericho will pay for what he did to him.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MJF. MJF says the old him would be freaking out right now and that he is not in the mood for an interview, and that he just wants to call Adam Cole and get some advice. This time, he manages to get Adam Cole, but not for long. The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn) then show up, and Max Caster offers to team with MJF, but MJF walks away. Billy Gunn wants to know why Caster is offering up their services and why Caster has an infatuation with him, to which Caster replies that they both started together before admitting that he likes it when MJF "plays hard-to-get."

Before the next match, Christian Cage makes fun of the Kansas City Chiefs, saying he does not need any extra help to get his wins. He then addresses telling Edge to go fuck himself last week as well as Copeland stating that Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus will turn on him as soon as they get the information they need, proclaiming that he did not pick up some ragtag tag team, dress them up like it was Halloween and convince them that they were tough guys and that he is their father, not their leader. He also admits that Edge almost made him smile at the attempt of reuniting as a tag team, saying that the same sentiment was not there a few years ago when he was being deliberately held back despite being more talented while Copeland was being pushed to the moon, and asks where Copeland's tag team aspirations were back then. He then says that Copeland's career is on a downward slope while his continues to reach new heights, for he is the most talked about in the business. Christian Cage then tells Adam Copeland that Copeland needs him, not the other way around, then says he does not blame him for being a fan, as "Beth Copeland is also a huge fan." Christian then admits that he is getting bored and that he will unleash Luchasaurus and have him end Copeland once and for all, then tells Copeland to take solace in the fact that his daughters will be well taken care of as their new father is coming home. Adam Copeland runs into the ring, and Nick Wayne grabs Copeland by the ankle, allowing Luchasuaurs to hit the Extinction lariat before the bell. Despite the gang-up, Edge is still willing to fight.

Adam Copeland beats Luchasaurus. During the match, Nick Wayne is able to set up a chair in the corner as Christian Cage distracts referee Bryce Remsburg, and despite running into it, Copeland is able to kick out following a Luchasaurus choke slam. Later on in the match, Nick Wayne distracts Remsburg so that Christian Cage can attempt to hit Copeland with the TNT Championship, but Adam blocks it, takes the title, hits Luchasaurus in the back of the head with and throws it back to Christian to trick Luchasaurus into thinking Christian hit him. Copeland then hits a Spear to win his AEW in-ring debut. After the match, Nick Wayne hits Copeland with a chop block, and Luchasaurus joins in on the attack, then "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson rusn into the ring only to be overpowered. Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta then show up and even the numbers game. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) and Swerve Strickland then show up and join in on the brawl, then "Hangman" Adam page shows up and brawls with Swerve on the outside. Copeland hits Nick Wayne with a Spear as Danielson makes Christian Cage tap out to the Lebell Lock to end the show.
