Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for November 1, 2023

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MJF. MJF has some ideas as to who he should team with tonight, then gets with Adam Cole via videochat on the nearby monitor. Adam Cole congratulates MJF on being the longest-reigning AEW World Champion, then tells him to consider Samoa Joe's order. MJF leaves, then Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) show up and asks Adam Cole if he is done pretending that the person in the Devil mask is not MJF. Adam Cole swipes out of the conversation. We then see the man in the Devil mask.

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against Claudio Castagnoli. During the match, Hook shows up, and he and Wheeler Yuta are ejected from ringside as they are about to go at it. Wheeler Yuta and Hook soon get separated by security backstage, with Hook being ejected from the arena. After the match, Jon Moxley shows up and joins Claudio Castagnoli in the ring. Orange Cassidy runs in the ring and brawls with Moxley, and Claudio stands there as Moxley gets the upper hand. Security shows up and goes after Moxley, and Claudio joins Moxley in taking out security before pulling him off of Orange Cassidy. Moxley then heads to the back.

Backstage, MJF knocks on Kenny Omega's door and Chris Jericho answers. When MJF asks if Omega is there, Jericho slams the door in his face. As MJF walks away, Wardlow pins MJF to the wall and tells him MJF that he took everything from him and that he will do likewise when he least expects it. MJF then runs into The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn), and Max Caster asks MJF to team with them. MJF walks away.

Backstage, we hear from Jon Moxley, who is not happy with Orange Cassidy costing him the AEW International Championship. He says he showed Orange respect when nobody else would by letting him walk away in Chicago and says that Orange wrote him off. Moxley then says he will beat Orange within an inch of his life at Full Gear.

The Mogul Embassy ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) beat The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) to become the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Champions for the second time. During the match, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana shows up, and Swerve brags about being at Adam Page's house. This leads to Adam Page chasing Swerve and Nana to the back, making the match three-on-two. After the match, security has to hold both Adam Page and Swerve Strickland back. Back in the ring, Matt Jackson snaps, taking a chair and smacking it against two ring posts.

Backstage, MJF moves away from Samoa Joe's door, then finds Darby Allin's door, takes the sign and writes the words "Emo bitch" on it. He then runs into The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn) again, but walks away.

Tony Schiavone interviews Adam Copeland in the ring. After praising Schiavone for all he does in AEW and stating the fans would chant louder for him if they knew, he says that he and Sting go way back, and says that he respects both Sting as well as Darby Allin, who he considers a foundation of the business going forward. On the subject of whether he will team with Sting and Darby at Full Gear, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne show up. Christian says that he will retire Sting at Full Gear whether he likes it or not and that Darby Allin has a "gimp arm" that will never be the same after what he did to him at WrestleDream. He also brings up Copeland's neck problem and suggests that Copeland back down from him right now before he snaps his neck and leaves him in a wheelchair to live the rest of his life undignified. Christian then sics Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus on Copeland, and when Christian slides into the ring, Copeland catches him out. That allows Luchasaurus to attack Copeland from behind and Nick Wayne to hit Copeland with Wayne's World. Nick Wayne then produces a chair from underneath the ring, and as Christian is about to go for the Con-Chair-To on Copeland, Sting shows up, and Darby Allin joins him soon after to even the numbers game. When Christian Cage gets the upper hand on Darby Allin, Copeland hits Christian with the Spear. Copeland then tells Christian that if he wants to snap his neck, then he will beat his ass. Copeland then teams with Sting and Darby at Full Gear.

We hear from Tony Khan and Nigel McGuinness. Tony Khan says it has been a great year for AEW, and that he cannot think of a better gift to give the fans than a ticket to next year's All In on August 25th, 2024. While tickets are available December 1st, it is possible to get them early by signing up at Ticketmaster's UK website.

The Don Callis Family guests on commentary for the next match.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega beat "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker and "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard. After the match, Don Callis considers Jericho and Omega to be like cockroachers who are hard to get rid of and proposes that this will only get finished on the street and not a wrestling ring. He then challenges Jericho and Omega to a street fight on Dynamite in two weeks. Omega says this was all about hurting him and Jericho for Don Callis' own purpose, then says that he has a spot ready for Kota Ibushi. Don Callis says that Jericho and Omega are still a man short, and Jericho says that while Powerhouse Hobbs is "a big, big man," he knows somebody bigger: Paul Wight, who shows up and takes out Kyle Fletcher the moment Fletcher rushes at him.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. As Jericho talks about the upcoming street fight, Nick Jackson shows up and asks why they are back together if they do not have each other's backs, then asks who let Jericho into the dressing room. He also says that Jericho and Don Callis are cut from the same cloth before he and Matt Jackson leave.

Hikaru Shida retains the AEW Women's World Championship against Willow Nightingale. After the match, "Timeless" Toni Storm shows up with her butler Luther and steals Shida's spotlight. Shida finally has enough and beats Toni up, then chases her to the back. Afterwards, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is behind Willow Nightingale. Julia offers her hand, then Skye Blue suddenly shows up and stands between Willow and Julia. She then spits blue mist into Julia's face. Julia is livid.

Backstage, MJF is met by The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). MJF makes it clear he to Max Caster to does not want to team with them under any conditions, then considers having to team with Jeff Jarrett and company, who desperately wants him to team up with them. MJF is reluctant to do so.

Backstage, Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) call Adam Cole, and Roderick says that MJF has yet to pick them for the main event. Adam Cole tells Roddy to "shut the hell up" before hanging up on him.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn) are revealed to be MJF's tag team partners for tonight's main event.

Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, "Rock Hard' Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) beat MJF and The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn) in an eight-man tag match. After the match, Jay White is about to hit MJF with the AEW World Championship when The Acclaimed make the save. Jay White attempts to hit MJF with the world title, but Max Caster gets in the way and takes the belt shot. Jay White then runs off with the AEW World Championship. Afterwards, Max Caster gets his hand up for the scissor, but MJF smacks it away . Billy Gunn tells MJF not to walk away after all Max has done for him and to scissor Caster now. MJF then takes part in the post-match scissor with The Acclaimed.
