Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 14, 2023

In footage from earlier today, Andre Chase says he is cooperating with the investigation regarding him and The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) and that it is business as usual.

The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) beat Andre Chase and Duke Hudson to become two-time NXT Tag Team Champions! This happens as members of the Chase University Student Section walk out, leading to "Walkout!" chants from the crowd.

We hear from Lita, who picks Roxanne Perez vs. Lash Legend for the women's qualifier and Trick Williams vs. Joe Coffey for the men's qualifier tonight.

Backstage, Baron Corbin congratulates "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio on staying a champion, then talks about his match with Wes Lee and how he plans to add a trip to the hospital to his list. Dominik says he will be watching and will have his back.

It's time for Supernova Sessions. Tonight's guests are Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa). Chad Gable tells Noam Dar that he is lucky he still Heritage Cup champion, but Jakara Jackson says luck has nothing to do with it. Noam Dar says Akira Tozawa is not on his level, but Tozawa says the cup would be his if not for the rest of Meta-Four (Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson). As Lash Legend says nobody tells Noam Dar what to do and that she will qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge tonight and Otis get turned on by what Lash says, Oro Mensah tells Akira Tozawa to stick to dancing, and this leads to both sides arguing. This leads to Alpha Academy teasing Otis as his next challenger, but it ultimately becomes Gable, and when Noam Dar swings at Gable, Gable ducks and headbutts him.

Lash Legend beats Roxanne Perez to qualify for the women's Iron Survivor Challenge after an already ejected Jakara Jackson shows up, distracting the referee so that Kiana James can grab Roxanne from the outside so that Lash Legend can hit a pump kick and eventually win.

Backstage, people are talking about the tag team and Heritage Cup matches tonight when Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo show up saying nobody cares what anything has. Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo show up to celebrate, and not even they want anything to do with Humberto and Garza, who eventually start a brawl with everyone else.

In footage from yesterday, Lyra Valkyria is invited to a warrior's tea ceremony by Xia Li as she is coming up with a gameplan for Xia Li.

Lyra Valkyria heads to Xia Li's warrior's tea ceremony. Xia Li says her warriors' spirit has been alive in the last months, but she wants to make sure they are on a better playing field when they challenge for the NXT Women's Championship. Xia Li makes the tea, and says that much like the tea leaves in the hot water, Lyra Valkyria will crumble, and that she will consume her. When Xia Li offers the tea, Lyra declines. Xia says she will show no remorse, and Lyra says she expects nothing less.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes. Trick says the punch to Carmelo's face was an accident, and Carmelo insists that he did not attack Trick. He says things got heated, but it is squashed now. Trick says he does not know what tricks Lexis King has up his sleeve, but he will get his. Carmelo then says Trick needs to get his and qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge, then says Gallus will be out there and so will he.

In backstage footage from moments ago, Kiana James brags about keeping Roxanne Perez out of the Iron Survivor Challenge this year. Meanwhile, Arianna Grace is still angry at Karmen Petrovic, and when Gigi Dolin confronts her for it, she ends up challenging Arianna to a match.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Bron Breakker, who says he has no regrets for what he did to Mr. Stone because he hurts people and breaks everyone. Dijak then shows up and declares himself the one man Bron cannot break, and Bron tells him to stay out of his way or else he will be begging for retribution.

Trick Williams beats Joe Coffey to qualify for the men's Iron Survivor Challenge despite some inadvertent miscommunication that leads to Trick tumbling out of the ring as Cameron Hayes pulls Wolfgang off the ring apron.

Backstage, Wes Lee is met by Ilja Dragunov, and congratulates Dragunov on staying champion. Wes Lee admits he needed some time off after that match, but he is getting back on track starting with Baron Corbin tonight. Dragunov says he will get a closer look tonight, and Wes Lee says Dragunov should be wary of any and all challengers that will be coming out from all sides for him and his title.

Backstage, Baron Corbin is met by Lexis King. Corbin gives Lexis King credit for taking Trick Williams out to make a name for himself. After keeping his means of taking Trick out mum, he tells Corbin he will be watching him in the main event tonight.

The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) beat OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price).

We hear from Joe Gacy, who says he has been wandering aimlessly like a man in the desert looking for water that doesn't exist and that he is trying to find his place and purpose, and on nights like this, he can feel the energy of the fans who label him and put him into occupied spaces because he seems like somebody familiar to him. He then says he is his own person and that he is here right now. He admits he may be unhinged, but NXT is where is begins and where it ends and it may be where he lets go.

Gigi Dolin beats Arianna Grace after Arianna gets caught by the referee using the ropes for leverage on a pinfall attempt.

We see a video package chronicling the history between Von Wagner and Mr. Stone.

Backstage, Von Wagner and Mr. Stone say they have been through a lot, and Mr. Stone invites Von Wagner to his family's home for dinner. Von Wagner is seen rubbing on the scar on his head.

Backstage, Jacy Jayne helps Andre Chase get away from the media.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Eddy Thorpe, who says 2023 has been a trip and that his strap match with Dijak depleted him physically and mentally. He says that he is back and proving he is ready to go when Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne show up. Dempsey says he will stretch Eddy like he has never been stretched before. Eddy says the toughest have tried to bend him but have never broken him, but Dempsey says it is because he has not step in the ring with people like them.

Baron Corbin beats Wes Lee after Wes Lee inadvertently takes out "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio on the outside shortly after he shows up and runs back into the ring only for Corbin to hit End of Days. After the match, Ilja Dragunov gets in the ring and fights Corbin, but Corbin also hits him with End of Days. Afterwards, Dragunov tells Corbin that he made a grave mistake and that he will have to live with the consequences, and if he wants an NXT Championship match that badly, he has it, and he will see him at Deadline.
