Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 26, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem" Aaron Roberts, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case says Roberts had a problem and took care of it, and Washington says he is tired of "The GunShow" Brett Michaels getting opportunities and that he will beat him and become the Heritage Champion. Robert tells the WWE ID Prospects that this is his house and threatens to fight any one of them. All of a sudden, Jackson Drake shows up, introduces himself and says he is here to solve a problem. He says he looks at Roberts and sees not a problem, but a joke and "a 400 lb. parade floatie with anger issues" who wants to fight people, then says he is just "the baddest man talking." Referees have to stop a brawl from breaking out after Drake challenges Roberts for next week.

We see footage from earlier in the week of Oso watching "The Gift" Ray Sanders training in the WrestleCenter. Oso tells Sanders that he hopes to hear from him.

The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow), now without Reverend Ash Taylor, beat The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2).

We see footage of Reverend Ash Taylor travelling down a dirt road and into a forest with his jacket in one hand and his collection plate in the other. He soon finds a sign in the leaves, and it leads him to an abandoned barn-like building. We then hear a news report for The Slaugterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James).

"The Chosen One" Zay Washington beats CJ Blaine following the distraction by CJ Money and Mama Money. After the match, CJ Money and Mama Money get in the ring, and CJ hits Blaine in the back with a leather belt.

Backstage, Nixi XS tries to call someone to help her deal with Diana Taylor when Sevyn Cruz and KJ Rockett show up and propose to back Nixi up against Diana.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against J. Webb after taking a piece of candy out of Makkari Kandy's candy bucket. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. After mentioning that the sour candy he just got was extra sour, Anthony declares another victory before asking who is next.

Backstage, Tim Grind and Xya Wolfe are met by Lil' Homie Lance, who shows up with new jerseys and a new name - the Bizzness Dawgs - and makes it clear he wants a piece of The L.A. Hustlers. Grind says Lance is not ready, but Lance says they can work as a team.

Wonderboy beats Larintiz X.

In backstage footage from earlier this week, Matchmaker King Cobra meets with Tim Bosby. He finds out that his rematch with Marko Harris will be two-out-of-three falls and will have the Cobra Cup on the line. Bosby is okay with the first stipulation, but has to think about the second one.

Indi Hartwell and Diana Taylor beat Nixi XS and KJ Rockett.
