Let's Go! - LFG recap for April 27, 2025 (Episode One)

The show begins with Bubba Ray chewing out both BJ Ray and Cutler James, the former for going into business for himself and Cutler James for walking out on the match, which Bubba Ray says would get BJ an ass-kicking and Cutler a firing. He then pits the two of them against each other in a match, which is going to happen right now.

BJ Ray beats Cutler James with a sleeper. The Legends are not impressed with the match, and Cutler James mentions that BJ was gassed after the first 30 seconds. BJ accuses Cutler James of being stuff and not selling his offense. Cutler says he is still learning and trying to be a good communicator, but says there is no excuse for not being in shape. Afterwards, Bubba Ray chews both men out for having an awful match, and tells them both to show something. He tells them to have another match, with the stipulation that the winner stays and the loser goes.

Shawn Michaels meets with the Future Greats. He announces that this week's challenge is about being prepared for the unexpected, whether it be a power outage in the venue or a fight breaking out in the stands. He says that sometimes, things will go wrong, and that Superstars should know how to deal with things. Afterwards, The Legends wonder what Shawn Michaels has in store, and know the Future Greats will have to be ready for anything. Bubba Ray says he needs to put Drake Morreaux in a match to make up for last week. Mickie James wants to see aggression out of Troy Yearwood. The Undertaker wants to get aggression out of Tyra Mae, and Booker T says that Leigh Laurel needs to be seen in a babyface role. A mixed tag match is proposed, and Booker T wants to see Penina in the mix, and Bubba Ray also wants to see Zena in the mix, as he has high hopes for her. Chris Island and Penia are put in a mixed tag with Zena and Shiloh Hill.

Tyra Mae Steele beats Leigh Laurel by submission with a single leg crab. During the match, the top rope breaks apart after Tyra Mae whips Leigh into the corner, but the match goes on. Afterwards, The Undertaker and Booker T feel there is a lot of work to do, and Bubba Ray says they are taking steps back and not forward. Bubba Ray takes Tyra Mae moving her eyes upwards as rolling her eyes instead of trying to calm down. Leigh feels they lost sight of the match.

Drake Morreaux beats Troy Yearwood. During the match, three more minutes is suddenly added to the match time. Mickie James says both men handled it, but not in the best way. Booker T mentions Troy Yearwood missing multiple punches, and The Undertaker tells Drake Morreaux to make his moves look bigger and to "work big." He does compliment both men on getting their time. Bubba Ray takes umbrage to Morreaux throwing Yearwood out of the ring, and The Undertaker says that he should have taken more advantage of the three minutes instead of just filling time. Morreaux says he will remember the advice for next time, and Yearwood says he is deep in thought after being chewed out along with his opponent, and that he does not want to bring others down.

Chris Island and Penina Tuilalepa beat Shiloh Hill and Zena Sterling in a mixed tag match. During the match, there is a power surge, and the arena goes dark. Bubba Ray enjoyed the match and felt everyone took a step forward and shined, and The Undertaker says Penina had her best match. Booker T praises everyone, saying that Penina has found what has gotten her on track, but mentions that Chris Island cannot stomp opponents well. Island says he will practice his stomps, and Shiloh takes the blame for him doing a stomp in the match. Penina is happy to get good feedback, and Zena says this has been her favorite match in the competition so far.

The points are awarded. Booker T says Shiloh Hill stood out for the men and that Penina stood out for the women by a sliver. Mickie James picks Shiloh for the men and Zena for the women, but does note that Penina had a fine match thanks to Zena. The Undertaker picks Zena, and says Penina and Zena had their best day, then picks Shiloh for the men. Bubba Ray picks Shiloh Hill for the men, stating that he loved his intensity and the little things that he has improved on, and that Shiloh has earned the point. He agrees with the rest of the Legends about Penina and tells her to feel proud about taking the definitive step forward, and states that Zena continues to blow them all away, even mentioning commitment and professionalism by stating that she watched old matches of luchadors, which explains the rolling around at the beginning of the match. Shiloh wins unanimously for the men, and Zena wins for the women. Zena notes her improvement from the start of the competition until now, and Mickie James says that while part of her wanted to vote for Chris Island, she still stands firm on Shiloh being the better man tonight and that it would not do anyone good to lie. The Undertaker praises Shiloh's range as a professional wrestler. Team Undertaker has 7 points, Team Booker T has five points, and Team Bubba Ray and Team Mickie James are now tied at 3 points each.

BJ Ray beats Cutler James in a Loser Leaves Town match with a crucifix pin. Mickie James mentions that she expected something more after the match. After the match, Bubba Ray gets with both men and says that neither man have impressed him, with BJ's problems being evident and with Cutler starting out strong only to taper off. Booker T says BJ talks a good game, but he cannot back it up. Mickie agrees with Booker T, saying he pulled for BJ at the beginning, but Cutler James has a better look and is more respectful. The Undertaker says Bubba Ray has a tough decision, and says he does not know what the stakes have to be in order to bring out more fire and emotion, and also agrees that BJ can talk the talk but not walk the walk. He does admit there is potential. Bubba tells BJ and Cutler that he would have them both their money back and told them to go home, and says that BJ is "a headache and a problem and an issue" and that there is something to be said everywhere he goes. He says that if there is one thing he learned about pro wrestling, it is that entertainment trumps wrestling. He then picks BJ to stay, causing Cutler James, and wishes him best of luck in his future endeavors before shaking his hand. Cutler leaves, and Bubba Ray notices that BJ's smirk is gone. Bubba Ray says that BJ is finally taking seriously, and despite the Legends wanting him gone for being a screw-up, he still sees something in him, and says that he will have to sink or swim on his own or else he will hold the door while everyone else kicks him out. Afterwards, BJ makes the decision to be more coachable. Cutler says he will have to do some digging and figure out his path to the top, and whatever he does, he knows it will be big.
