Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 19, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Morrow, Sister Asa) at the announce desk. Reverend Ash Taylor says he has been thinking about the last seven days and has been met with nothing but disappointment, and blames everything on Brother Bruce and Morrow, stating that he was the one member who was closest to the tag team titles. He asks Morrow where he was when The Twins of Salem (Jackson Crowley and Abel Booker) put him through a table, then slaps him. Brother Bruce gets in front of Reverend Ash Taylor only to get slapped as well, then yells at Sister Asa for running away, "scared like a child." Morrow stops the Reverend from slapping Sister Asa, and Brother Bruce says that Reverend Ash Taylor has been overstepping for the past year, and while he has had his back and has been his right-hand man since day one, he has been caging a monster, and calls him "nothing but a fake-ass reverend." Reverend Ash Taylor tries to beg Bruce off, but Bruce punches him in the face. Bruce and Morrow surround Reverend Ash Taylor in the ring and slam him down into the mat, then Morrow takes the collection plate and stomps it. Bruce, Morrow and Sister Asa then enter the face locker room, signifying a face turn.

Tim Bosby beats Gio Savage.

We hear from Sycho Simon, who talks about he tried to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight only for the devil to fail to show up, because even he knows that he rules Memphis Wrestling. He asks what it feels like to put someone through a table and braek bones in half, and says he is the one everyone should worry about. He then says it will be over soon.

Backstage, members of the Memphis Wrestling receive a weigh-in from Derrick King.

We see footage of Indi Hartwell with the fans at the WrestleCenter.

Dustin Starr interviews Indi Hartwell at the announce desk. Indi says he is looking for the best indies and has heard that Memphis Wrestling is one of the best indies around, then Diana Taylor shows up. Diana apologizes and introduces herself before welcoming Indi to Memphis Wrestling, then Nixi XS shows up and says that she is the one that matters in the women's division before punching Diana in the face and telling her she is nothing. Indi throws Nixi XS off of Diana and checks on Diana, and Nixi XS tells Indi she will regret laying her hands on her.

We see footage of The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James) putting "The GunShow" Brett Michaels through a table at a Memphis Showboats event and The GunShow beating The Slaughterhouse at Showboats Showdown with the help of Memphis Showboats mascot Skipper.

In footage from earlier this week, "The Gift" Ray Sanders is met by Oso at the front of the WrestleCenter. Oso hands him his business card, then walks away.

Dustin Starr interviews The Big Manes (K-Toomer and Big John Dalton) at the announce desk. K-Toomer says that Big John Dalton is ready to slap some meat while he is ready to beat some meat.

The Big Manes (K-Toomer and Big John Dalton) beat The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) by disqualification after Ray Collins and Jay Smooth attack K-Toomer and Big John with weapons. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock also joins in on the attack, as does his Secret Service agents, who also steal the tag team titles. K-Toomer takes the majority of the chair shots as he protects Big John Dalton.

We hear from "Super" Sean Legacy and Jack Cartwheel, who talk about their one-on-one match and state that there can only be one victor.
