Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 5, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) at the announce desk to start today's show. Notorious Bradley says it is Dustin Starr's fault they are in a ladder match when he knows they are afraid of height, and Ruffshot Lamont is not too thrilled, either. The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa) shows up, and Reverend Ash Taylor admits he does not care what anyone has to say, as the tag team titles are coming to the Righteous Path. The Hollywood Clique (Ray Collins, Jay Smooth, Secret Service) shows up minus "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, and as the crowd throws Twinkies at them, one of the Secret Service agents says that this is an unsafe working environment and that Jimmy fears for his life. The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) show up and state that the ladder match is time to prove that they rule, then K-Toomer and Big John Dalton show up. K-Toomer says everyone is talking when he and Dalton want to fight. Matchmaker King Cobra shows up to restore order by making them the guests of honor for the eight-man tag match that is coming up next.

We hear from Sycho Simon, who says that he likes breaking rules because they are meant to be broken like bones. He then says that the show is running out of time.

The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow) and The Hollywood Clique (Ray Collins and Jay Smooth) vs. K-Toomer, Big John Dalton and The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) ends in a no-contest when the match goes completely out of control and de-evolves into a brawl that security has to break up.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Lance talks with Xya Wolfe, saying he wants to get back at The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) for what they did to Flex. Tim Grind shows up and says that he and Xya Wolfe will take on James Ellsworth and Shazza McKenzie.

We see footage of Indi Hartwell with the fans at the WrestleCenter.

Nixi XS beats Makkari Kandy. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Nixi XS at the announce desk. Nixi tells Diana Taylor that she does not just hate her, she also pities her, as she will never be capable of what she is and she will expose her as a fake champion. She says Diana will never beat her and be a real champion.

Backstage, Momma Money tells CJ Money that she is proud of him and that he has proven he is the best, and that the bad influences are over and done with. CJ says he loves his momma and that he knows what she is doing is just for him. Momma Money says that no matter what, she will always love him, for he is a momma's boy.

We hear from "Main Event" Bradley, who says that "Main Event" is not a gimmick and that he lives this, and that the underestimating will stop. He dares anyone who thinks he is on his level to step up to him, because he is the best here and everyone knows it.

Icemane Sosa beats Sevyn Cruz after KJ Rockett inadvertently slaps Sevyn Cruz from the ring apron.

We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who says that the more things change, the more they stay the same. He says he is used to "The Problem" Aaron Roberts' tricks, and after what "The Chosen One" Zay Washington did to him, Washington is staring down the barrel of a GunShow Lariat, but this time, he will not be getting back up.

We see another vignette for The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James).

"The Problem" Aaron Roberts beats Cappuccino Jones.
