Do The Evolution - Evolve recap for April 2, 2025

We get a closer look at "The Real Deal" Zayda Steel, who talks about how she is always ready for the spotlight and how she has become the very first WWE ID prospect after having fought everyone and being prepared for anything.

Brinley Reece beats "The Real Deal" Zayda Steel. During the match, Jackson Drake is seen in the VIP Section. After the match, Swipe Right (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes) show up to help Zayda to the back.

Backstage, Kylie Rae is met by Zara Zakher as she gets mentally ready for Wendy Choo. Zara tells Kylie to focus on Wendy Choo and look her in the eye.

We get a closer look at Luca Crusifino, consigliere to The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Crusifino, Adrianne Rizzo). He states that Tony D'Angelo has given him his blessing to come to Evolve and push the family's influence on the show. He says he is here to make a statement as well as a name for himself.

Keanu Carver beats Luca Crusifino.

Chantel Monroe beats Masyn Holiday with a schoolkid pin after grabbing the tights. Chuey Martinez interviews Chantel after the match, and Chantel says winning two matches in Evolve is not surprising because she sees a winner when she looks in the mirror and that winners win championships. She says she has been hearing whispers about the Women's Evolve Championship and that she will be the center of the title conversation.

We see a face-off between Kali Armstrong and Dani Palmer. Palmer admits she misfired on the dive that took Armstrong out and that they are clearly not a good team, but they are here to evolve their talents. Armstrong says Palmer has just described a loser's mentality and is trying to convince herself that she does not suck, and tells her to learn from her mistakes when she is not attached to a partner like her who can actually win. Palmer warns Armstrong that she will have a short career and lots of enemies with that mindset, but Armstrong says she is doing absolutely fine and will continue to do so as long as she is not handcuffed to "a poor excuse for a consolation prize" like Palmer. Palmer says Armstrong reeks of insecurity and is trying to push all her buttons to get her to lash out, but it is not going to work and that she is saving it all for the ring because Armstrong is writing checks that her skills cannot cash.

Harlem Lewis beats Joe Coffey after Coffey inadvertently punches the ring post on the outside.

Wendy Choo beats Kylie Rae by submission with the Dirtnap.
