Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 21, 2025

John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cena demands ring announcer Mark Nash head to the ring, and stops him at the apron briefly before allowing him in the ring and handing him a card to read from. Mark Nash announces that his announcing has been deemed "disrespectful," and re-announces Cena while reading from the note Cena has given him. He then hands Cena the microphone. Cena says that winners write history and that "you are not worthy," and that he refuses to forgive the audience for bullying him on Friday and cheering him on Sunday. Cena states that this is not how a functioning relationship works and that he can still tell someone who is in a good mood to go straight to Hell, and that the fans do not have the courage to apologize to him. He tells the fans that they have gone, and the fans chant "We aren't sorry." Cena calls the fans "sorry low-lifes" and proclaims that they mean nothing to him, which starts an "asshole" chant. Cena says he may be an anus, but the fans are a group of idiots, and in 25 years, he has taken the worst of their abuse and that tonight's crowd will not be the one to crack him. He says their noise means nothing to him. He proclaims that he had 36 dates until he is done and that this is the only thing that matters, and that the fans have already wasted a quarter of them, and states that he only has to show up; he does not have to wrestle. Cena then dictates that the professional wrestling timeline stops cold when that number hits zero, and when it does, the Undisputed WWE Championship goes home with him, as he will be the last to hold the title. He says winning the title was the hard part and that the rest is a cakewalk, and that he just has to play the fans like a fiddle. Cena says Cody Rhodes was their best shot, but he was "flat out destroyed." Cena tells the fans to take a bold look in the mirror, as there is no one in the WWE with the strength, speed, wisdom or ruthless aggression that he has. He also says he has a heart and would like to do something nice for the fans. He tells everyone to get out their cameras and be sure to get a great picture, as they will want to remember this and because the last real champion is here. All of a sudden, Randy Orton show up behind Cena, and when Cena turns around, he goes "SHIT!" before eating an RKO. Orton then holds up the Undisputed WWE Championship over a downed Cena.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias, actor Rana Daggubati, the crew from The Pat McAfee Show, and the team of Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley are seen in the crowd.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez beat Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria to become WWE Women's Tag Team Champions for the fourth time after Raquel keeps Lyra from putting Liv away. After the match, Becky Lynch helps Lyra Valkyria up before hitting her with a lariat and yelling at her. She then teases leaving the ring before attacking Lyra again and hitting her with the Manhandle Slam three times.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) head to the ring and demand that everyone get on their knees, raise their hands to the sky and scream "Thank God for The New Day!" Kofi says there is no tag team, alive or dead, who is better than them, and as he and Woods brag about beating The War Raiders, Alpha Academy (Otis, Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri) shows up. Maxxine Dupri and Otis reminds The New Day that the last time they were in the ring, Alpha Academy won in sixty seconds. She then wants The New Day to put the World Tag Team Championships on the line. Woods refuses, and when Maxine asks if "the Minutemen" are scared, Kofi takes this as a challenge and makes the match, with a referee running into the ring. As the match is about to start, however, Rusev - formerly known as Miro in the indies and in All Elite Wrestling following his release from WWE about five years ago - suddenly appears and decimates Otis and Tozawa after The New Day run away before putting Otis in the Accolade (formerly known as Game Over).

Survivor Series is live on Netflix and Peacock on November 29th!

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carltio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) celebrate their new championship bounty and Rey Mysterio missing WrestleMania when Finn confronts Dominik. After Liv says that at least one of them having the Intercontinental Championship, Finn says that "whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." He still looks at the Intercontinental Championship as if he wants it, however.

Iyo Sky heads to the ring. She calls last night the best night of her career and says that she is over the moon after beating the best there is, which makes her the best. She says Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair both tried to forget her, but the fans did not, because she is "The Genius of the Sky" and the Women's World Champion. Suddenly, Stephanie Vaquer shows up and congratulates Iyo Sky, then introduces herself and says she is here to show respect, then states that Iyo is the best and she wants to face the best. Iyo Sky accepts Stephanie Vaquer's challenge for right here, right now, then General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and asks the fans if they want the match. He then says he wants the match and makes it official.

Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer ends with Iyo suddenly being attacked by Roxanne Perez. Afer the match, Giulia shows up and boots Vaquer in the face, then she and Roxanne go on the attack. All of a sudden, Rhea Ripley shows up and gives Roxanne a headbutt as she runs away, then has a staredown with Giulia befre Giulia leaves the ring. Rhea hands Iyo the Women's World Championship, then makes it known to Iyo that she is coming for the title again.

"Main Event" Jey Uso heads to the ring. Jey says that he has wanted to be a world champion since he was a kid and that he is here now, and while the road was not easy, he gave his all to beat Gunther and make him tap. He says that he is grateful and happy to have the World Heavyweight title on his shoulder, and he will show up and put the work in like he always has. Sami Zayn shows up and hugs Jey, which leads to "Ucey" and "Sami Uso" chants, and admits that not being here the last eight weeks was hard on him and that he wishes that he had been there, and admits that missing WrestleMania was hard on him and that he almost did not show up in Las Vegas at all, but he had to so he could be the first one to stand across from Jey in the ring and tell him how proud he is of him and how much Jey deserves this. Smai then says that they are here to celebrate, and Jey's music hits again. Jimmy Uso's music hits as Jey and Sami celebrate, and Jimmy Uso joins in on the proceedings.

Producer and songwriter Metro Boomin, Las Vegas Aces players Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes, and Chase Briscoe of Full Speed are seen in the crowd.

In post-match backstage footage from WrestleMania, Cathy Kelley interviews Logan Paul, who only cares that he won and that whoever and whatever he wants is next.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Styles says WrestleMania is a hard pill to swallow, and while he was prepared for Logan Paul and his flunkies, he is taking the loss and moving on. Suddenly, Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up, and Kross chews Styles out for legitimizing his loss against Logan Paul and not being the person he was a year ago. Styles says he looked in the mirror and hated who he was a year ago and that he is not going back, and says that hitting Logan with brass knuckles would have meant nothing. He tells Kross that if he is going to be angry at the world, then he had better not drag him down with him. He then tells Kross to solve his anger problem himself. Styles leaves, and Kross says "Maybe I will."

An angry Gunther is suddenly at the commentary table, where he takes his anger out on Michael Cole before shoving Pat McAfee and nearly putting Michael Cole in the sleeper hold. As officials led by General Manager Adam Pearce try to put a stop to the brawl, Gunther puts McAfee in the sleeper hold, and Pat McAfee's show crew also have to be held back when they jump out of the crowd. After Gunther lets go of the hold, McAfee is helped to the back.

Backstage, Pat McAfee is helped to the trainer's room. General Manager Adam Pearce asks Michael Cole - who may have a broken nose - to take the rest of the night off. Cole says commentary is supposed to have opinions, then says he will not allow some bully to keep him from doing his job, even after Pearce says that he will deal with how commentary is treated by the locker room. Joe Tessitore replaces Pat McAfee for the rest of the night. Michael Cole comes out to "Daddy Cool"-style chants.

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Penta after JD McDonagh suddenly returns and shoves Penta off the top rope while Carlito distracts the referee. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez shows up to celebrate after the match, and Finn Balor is a bit reluctant to celebrate at first.

We see a sepia tone celebration of El Grande Americano's WrestleMania victory.

Paul Heyman and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins head to the ring. Rollins talks about how he took a wiseman from Roman Reigns and a best friend from CM Punk as he won the main event of WrestleMania before Punk suddenly shows up and brawls with Rollins. Punk then confronts Heyman, but Rollins goes for Punk's eyes from behind before hitting Punk with The Stomp. Heyman then proclaims that there is a new reigning, defending, number one top star in this entire industry: Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up, and when he gets in the ring, he hits Rollins with a Spear. Roman then hits Heyman with a Superman Punch, but as he prepares to hit Heyman with a Spear, he is taken out from out of nowhere by Bron Breakker in a black hoodie. Rollins almost confronts Breakker, but Breakker hits Punk with a Spear when Punk gets up. It then becomes apparent that Rollins, Breakker and Heyman are in cahoots, especially after Rollins directs traffic and sics Breakker on Roman. Roman smacks Breakker, but Breakker puts him through the barricade with a Spear. Breakker then puts Roman in a choke hold back in the ring as Rollins hits Punk with The Stomp. Rollins then Stomps Roman before he, Breakker and Heyman celebrate to end the show.
