After mentioning his match with Lashley and his match at Bound For Glory - and pretending to choke - he tells Sydal that he is missing a killer instinct, which he claims he has as he says he is the best guy here and the grandest champion the company has. He goes to say the big difference between him and Sydal is that he is a killer and Sydal is a nice guy. He teases getting in the ring with Sydal, but goes on to say that in another life, Sydal could have been reborn a winner.

Johnny and El Patron eventually take it outside, and El Patron tells Johnny Impact that the Global title is his title and that this is the way it is going to be before they go back indoors. Security eventually gets involved, but they get overpowered. El Patron tosses Johnny into a bathroom, then he climbs up a ladder and kicks it down after he gets on the roof of what looks like a restroom. Licking the ladder down does not faze Johnny as he uses his parkour skills to climb up and fight him above the restroom. El Patron continues to insist that the company screwed him, and says that if Johnny wants a fight, he will get one tonight, and all he has to do is get in the ring. Johnny gets in the ring, and security lets El Patron go in. El Patron only teases getting in the ring, and Johnny tells El Patron he's not even the pride of his own father. This gets El Patron's goat, and both men go at it. Security gets in the ring to separate both men. El Patron hits Johnny with a cheap shot, then DDTs Johnny before telling security to get out if they want to get paid tonight. When the two security guards turn their backs to leave, El Patron clotheslines them, then he puts Johnny in a Cross Arm Breaker on the ropes. General Manager William Regal is in the ring with security to moderate the contract signing between "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. Nakamura is introduced first, followed by Samoa Joe. Joe, however, leaves as soon as he sees security and heads back to the back to bring his own table complete with a steel chair to sit in as he places both on the entrance ramp, saying he'll do his business there so he doesn't have to put Nakamura down. He knows Nakamura knows he can put him out for a while, but tells him he is a benevolent future NXT Champion and will give him his chance for revenge at TakeOver and not on NXT television in front of "mouthbreathers." He then orders William Regal to hand him the contract so he can sign it from the entrance ramp. Regal slowly leaves the ring and walks up the ramp to hand him the contract, and he signs. Joe then makes Regal pick the contract up, and Regal takes the contract to the ring. Nakamura takes the contract, then drops it before fighting off all six security guards in the ring and laying them out, with one of them going through a table. He then signs the contract, then drops it on the guy laid on on the broken table to end the show as Nakamura dares Joe to get in the ring with him.
