Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for November 9, 2017

Jeremy Borash and Josh Mathews introduces everyone to the show, where for the first time, Impact Wrestling broadcasts from Ottawa, Canada.

We see a video package summarizing Bound For Glory.

Eli Drake and Chris Adonis show up. Adonis asks everyone to sit down, shut their mouths and show him and Eli Drake respect. He claims that Eli Drake retained the Impact Global Championship without anybody's help (even though Alberto El Patron interfered). Drake says that Bound For Glory went as planned, and says he hit a home run when it came to coming back out as Global Champion. He says that Johnny Impact had it in his head that he would take the title away from him, but somebody told Johnny Impact "the wrong damn story," as he is still here with the gold. He goes on to say everything was perfect that night except for one thing: Alberto El Patron sticking his nose in the match to make his mark, but he ended up making Eli Drake's mark on it. He goes on to tell Alberto El Patron that he has yet to be mistreated until he has been mistreated by him, and tells Patron he will have to work up to that. In the greatest, smartest move on all of Impact's management's history, he has given him the night off as they have yet to give him a new #1 contender. He says that since he's off, he might as well leave Canada, as the place is garbage. Suddenly, Petey Williams shows up. He says he is not here to stop him from leaving as nobody wants him, but as far as his claim that there is nobody here left to beat, he has yet to beat him. He has never been Global Champion, and he challenges Eli Drake to put the title on the line against him tonight. Eli Drake tells him to use his inside voice before he puts his keister outside, then asks the crowd if they want to see the match, Eli Drake they'll do it...but not tonight. He says they can wait until next week, but Petey Williams says he can give Eli Drake the night off himself. Adonis meets Petey at ringside only to get kicked in the back, then Eli Drake and Petey Williams go at it in the ring. Petey is about to hit the Canadian Destroyer when Adonis gets Eli Drake out of the ring.

We see footage from earlier today where Johnny Impact storms into the building.

It is announced that Eli Drake will defend the Impact Wrestling Global Championship against "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams next week.

Jimmy Jacobs suddenly shows up at the commentary table again. He guests on commentary for the next match.

"Reborn" Matt Sydal beats Sonjay Dutt. After the match, Ethan Carter III shows up. He reacts to the "EC3" chants by asking that people chant for Sydal as he congratulates him on the victory. He says that Sydal keeps winning and winning only to come up short when it comes to winning the big one when it matters. After mentioning his match with Lashley and his match at Bound For Glory - and pretending to choke - he tells Sydal that he is missing a killer instinct, which he claims he has as he says he is the best guy here and the grandest champion the company has. He goes to say the big difference between him and Sydal is that he is a killer and Sydal is a nice guy. He teases getting in the ring with Sydal, but goes on to say that in another life, Sydal could have been reborn a winner.

We see footage from backstage where Johnny Impact looks for Alberto El Patron backstage.

We see Hector Garza, Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt vs. Team Canada (Petey Williams, "Showtime" Eric Young, Bobby Roode) from 2004 in the GWN Flashback Moment of the Week.

Pro Wrestling NOAH Executive Director Masayuki Uchida presents the GHC Heavyweight Championship before the next match.

Eddie Edwards retains the GHC Heavyweight Championship against El Hijo del Fantasma in the first North American defense in the championship's history. Both men show respect after the match.

We see black-and-white footage of oVe (Dave Crist, Jake Crist, Sami Callahan) with Callahan giving a thumbs-down motion.

oVe (Dave Crist, Jake Crist, Sam Callahan) beat Phil Atlas, Marcus Burke and Ray Steele. After the match, The Latin-American XChange ambush oVe, and this starts a brawl between the two teams where LAX overpowers oVe.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Hakim Zane, who says that winning Global Forged makes him important. Before he can say more, he is violently pushed out of shot by Johnny Impact, who tells Alberto Del Rio that he did not come here for a wrestling match; he came here to kick his ass for costing him the Impact Wrestling Global Championship. He is here for his blood, and he will not be leaving until he finds him.

In this week's Pluto TV Rewind of he Week, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper sprays Fox Sports host Chris Rose with a fire extinguisher for saying wrestling is fake.

In Windsor, Ontario, Canada for Border City Wrestling, Allie beats KC Spinelli.

Alberto El Patron says that if Johnny Impact wants to fight him, he is always ready and he will kick his ass. He tells Johnny to be careful what he wishes for.

Back in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Allie is excited that she finally won a match. She mentions that Gail Kim will make a major announcement next week.

Next week: Lashley and American Top Team return! Petey Williams vs. Eli Drake for the Impact Wrestling Global Championship! The Latin-American XChange (Santana, Ortiz, Homicide) vs. oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callahan)!

Mackenzie Mitchell is about to interviews Alberto El Patron when Johnny Impact dives right at him. Both men get into a brawl, and when Braxton Sutter comes out of the locker room, he gets beaten up by Johnny Impact. Caleb Konley also tries to stop this, but he also gets beaten up and Sutter and Konley brawl with each other. Johnny and El Patron eventually take it outside, and El Patron tells Johnny Impact that the Global title is his title and that this is the way it is going to be before they go back indoors. Security eventually gets involved, but they get overpowered. El Patron tosses Johnny into a bathroom, then he climbs up a ladder and kicks it down after he gets on the roof of what looks like a restroom. Licking the ladder down does not faze Johnny as he uses his parkour skills to climb up and fight him above the restroom. He corners him on the edge of the room and stomps his hand to send him back down, and when security tries to stop Johnny Impact, he hits a high flying cross body onto El Patron and security, taking everybody out.

After the break, Johnny Impact and Alberto El Patron are still brawling backstage. El Patron tells Johnny that this is his company, but they eventually fight their way to the backstage entrance and onto the aisle. Security finally separates both men after El Patron sends Johnny into the steel steps, and says he is the company. Impact tries to go after EL Patron, but security goes after him. El Patron continues to insist that the company screwed him, and says that if Johnny wants a fight, he will get one tonight, and all he has to do is get in the ring. Johnny gets in the ring, and security lets El Patron go in. El Patron only teases getting in the ring, and Johnny tells El Patron he's not even the pride of his own father. This gets El Patron's goat, and both men go at it. Security gets in the ring to separate both men. El Patron hits Johnny with a cheap shot, then DDTs Johnny before telling security to get out if they want to get paid tonight. When the two security guards turn their backs to leave, El Patron clotheslines them, then he puts Johnny in a Cross Arm Breaker on the ropes. Referees run in to try to break the hold, and El Patron breaks it to swing at the referees.
